Since the release of the FISA memo on Friday, much of the mainstream media has been downplaying the severity of its contents. Left-leaning television networks and Democrats say that the memo is one giant “nothingburger” – and this term has been repeated multiple times in recent days.

But would the media have the same indifference if the positions were reversed, and Democrats had been the targets? Donald Trump Jr. doesn’t think so, and pointed out that the likes of CNN would not be calling the memo “controversial” if, for instance, it had been discovered that former President George W. Bush had weaponized FISA for political opposition to the Obama camp.

What did the Nunes memo reveal? Essentially, U.S. government officials fibbed to the FISA Court in order to get warrants to spy on members of Trump’s campaign.

This should be a bigger deal than it currently is. But don’t tell that to the big networks and newspapers.

And Trump’s son sees right through the media’s reportage of the memo. After the memo was released, Don Jr. tweeted that the reaction would be far different if Obama had been targeted in 2008 and 2009.

He continued to respond to the story in the following days, as hysterical Democrats warned that the U.S. is on the cusp of a “constitutional crisis.” This prompted Don Jr. to tweet:

Pretty sure the actual constitutional crisis is the prior administration weaponizing the DOJ and FBI to undermine a duly elected president with information paid for by his opponent with no basis in fact. But run with the Dem talkers. You do you.
