A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The good things in life are made sweeter by affliction.

CHARGE & A GOOD CONFESSION
"I urge you in the sight of GOD WHO gives life to all things, and before CHRIST JESUS WHO witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH'S appearing, which HE will manifest in HIS OWN time." [1 Timothy 6. 13 - 15]

Paul acknowledged that his young son in the faith, Timothy had also professed a good profession (confession) before many witnesses, "you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" [1 Timothy 6. 12]

This was similar in substance and quality to the witness of MESSIAH Y’SHUA before Pilate. When the Jews urged Pilate to condemn Y’SHUA to death, their charge was that "HE made HIMSELF the SON OF GOD." [John 19. 7] Pilate gave Y’SHUA the opportunity to deny this charge and save HIS life, "but JESUS gave him no answer." [John 19. 94] Both by HIS silence, when a denial of the charge could have saved HIM, and by HIS open testimony before Pilate that HE was, in fact, a KING from Heaven itself — indeed "the blessed and only POTENTATE, the KING of kings and LORD of lords, WHO alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light." [1 Timothy 6. 15 - 16]

It is clear that our own good confession must be a confession of our faith in Y’SHUA, the SON OF GOD, our SAVIOR and LORD, especially when that confession is made openly before hostile witnesses. The LORD Y’SHUA said, "whoever confesses ME before men, him I will also confess before MY FATHER WHO is in heaven. But whoever denies ME before men, him I will also deny before MY FATHER WHO is in Heaven." [Matthew 10. 32 - 33] Paul said, "that if you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS and believe in your heart that GOD has raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." [Romans 10. 9 - 10] And John said, "Whoever confesses that Y’SHUA is the SON OF GOD, GOD abides in him, and he in GOD." [1 John 4. 15]

Our declaration of faith is also a vitally important witness and in all our persecutions and tribulations we will endure with the strength of the ALMIGHTY ONE manifesting evidence of the righteous judgment of GOD. May we be counted worthy of the Kingdom of GOD, for which we have suffered. "Now for a little while grace has been shown from the LORD our GOD, WHO has granted us a remnant to escape, and given us a stake in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage." [Ezra 9. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Even though there are great blessings awaiting all who make a courageous and excellent confession of saving faith in MESSIAH, most people will refuse this incredibility amazing grace until it is too late. There is a time coming, however, "that every tongue should confess that Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH is YEHOWAH, to the glory of GOD THE FATHER." [Philippians 2. 11]

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." [2 Corinthians 6. 2] Hold fast the confession of our hope in the LORD JESUS without wavering as you see the Day of HIS appearing is coming so very soon, even at the door.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath. Sabbath of Va’era – “And I Appeared” [Reading: Exodus 6:2-9:35; Ezekiel 28:25-29:21; Luke 11:14-22]
ALMIGHTY GOD and FATHER, we come before YOU with words of praise and thanksgiving for the providential care and guidance under which YOUR people live and the many blessings which YOU give to us and all mankind. Grant us the vision to see and the courage to do YOUR holy will. Help us to remove every misunderstanding between ourselves and our fellowmen. Establish peace and harmony within our souls that we may be truly at one with YOU. MERCIFUL KING awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR grace which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway come in safety to the coveted goal — YOUR LOVING PRESENCE. LORD, YOUR loving-kindness is mighty over us, and we are ever grateful to YOU, blessed be YOUR GLORIOUS NAME forever! Amen.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A wise man hears one word and understands two. [Yiddish Proverb]

SOUND & FRUIT
"On its hem make pomegranates of blue, purple and crimson yarns all round the hem with bells of gold between them all around: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe. Aaron shall wear it while officiating, so that the sound of it is heard when he comes into the Sanctuary before the LORD and when he goes out — that he may not die." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 33 - 35 Tanakh, Torah]

Upon the hem of the seamless robe of blue were pomegranates and bells alternating. The blue, purple and crimson which is blended in this fruit foretell of the bruising and crushing of the BLESSED SAVIOR, the ROCK OF OUR SALVATION. The multi-seeds of the pomegranate (613 seeds, 613 commandments in the TORAH) signify fruitfulness.

The gold bell has a tongue in it. This tells of testimony, being gold, it is DIVINE testimony. It rings clearly because there is a pomegranate, which acts as a pad, between each bell. The softness prevented the bells from clanging together and producing discord. The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH wore the spiritual fruit and bells all around the hem of HIS seamless garment as HE walked upon the earth (the hem hangs near the earth). Y’SHUA, the GALILEAN, had a clear ringing testimony which was backed up by the fruit of HIS life. It should be the same with CHRIST-like-ones who wear the spiritual robe of blue. It is not by our much speaking, our preaching, nor by the miracles performed in the NAME OF JESUS, or the GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT operating through our life that we are known. Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE said, "by their fruit you shall know them." [Matthew 7. 16, 20]

NEW COVENANT priests are to wear the bell with the pomegranate, not one without the other, in order to bring a clear ringing testimony with the FRUIT OF DIVINE LOVE to the world. 1 Corinthians 12 & 14 are the "BELL" chapters, having the "TESTIMONY OF GOD'S POWER." These two chapters surround 1 Corinthians 13, is the "Pomegranate or Fruit" chapter. The GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT must operate with and by DIVINE LOVE. Even though the NAME OF YESHUA is not mentioned in these chapters, HE is still there. . . HE is Love!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE. May the GOD OF HOPE fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in HIM, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. Have a wonderful week expecting great blessings from our Wonderful LORD GOD. Blessed are YOU, O GOD, our salvation and our help. Everything that lives shall give thanks to YOU forever and shall praise YOUR NAME in truth. YOUR NAME is ALL-GOOD, and unto WHOM it is becoming to give thanks and praise. Be sure to brighten others with encouragement and a joyful smile! Enjoy some of the sweetness of Sabbath throughout your week days! Go with GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Goodness makes greatness truly valuable, and greatness makes goodness much more serviceable.

SONS BY FAITH
"The LORD said to Abram — Go forth from your native land and from your father's house to the land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you shall be a blessing, a standard by which blessing is invoked. I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you; and all the families of the earth shall bless themselves by you." [Genesis (Bereshith) 12. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Torah]

As far as we know, all people were Gentiles (Hebrew: goy/goyim) until the days of Abraham, but with Abraham the Hebrew race began.  These descendants of Abraham (thru Isaac) developed into 12 tribes called Israelites, named after Abram's grandson, Jacob (whose name was changed to Israel).   {In Judaism there is a custom called "Shinnuy ha'Shem (change of name)" also see Genesis/Bereshith 32. 28}  One of Jacob's (Israel) sons was called Judah, who was the first Jew. [However, Israel is often referred to as Judah or Jew in SCRIPTURE — Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin which tribe is classed with the Jews, yet he says — "I am an Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin." Romans 11.1]   All who are not the natural descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob are called Gentiles, whatever their nationality may be.

The word "goy" in the HEBREW SCRIPTURES is generally translated nation, heathen, gentile and literally means any nation including the nation of Israel!   In one particular instance Israel is called "Goy" by CREATOR GOD HIMSELF:  When HE promised Abraham HE would make of him a great nation, the word used here for nation is Goy!  Today, however, the word goy (Gentile) has acquired the meaning referring to anybody who is not a Jew.

GOD ALMIGHTY declares both Jews and Gentiles to be sinners.  "ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD" [Romans 3. 23] — is one of the many statements concerning this fact.  Therefore the Jew standing before the LORD OF GLORY is the same as any Gentile.  He is just as "lost" as any Gentile who rejects the SAVIOR.  GOD commands that all repent from their sins, be converted and turn to HIM.  Jewish persons who are not religious as well as those who are following the practices of TALMUDIC Judaism today must be converted even as Gentiles must be converted who are observing religious activities but are not following the faith of the NEW COVENANT.  "What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin." [Romans 3. 9] "As it is written — There is none righteous, no, not one...There is no fear of GOD before their eyes." [Romans 3. 10, 18]

HOLY GOD OMNIPOTENT is calling out a people from among both Jews and Gentiles to be in the CONGREGATION OF THE LORD.  When a Jew becomes a believer in MESSIAH Y’SHUA, he automatically enters into the NEW COVENANT relationship with GOD.  Gentiles also find GOD through this NEW COVENANT and so the wall between Jew and Gentile is thereby removed.

As before stated,  a Jew is a lineal descendant of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.  He does not cease to be a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when he believes and accepts Y’SHUA as the JEWISH MESSIAH.  He is still a Jew genealogically.  This does not make him a Gentile, but instead he becomes a better Jew, a fulfilled, completed, GOD-fearing, GOD-honoring Jew.

A Gentile is one who is not a descendant of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.  He does not become a Jew by believing and accepting the JEWISH MESSIAH Y’SHUA, but enters into the NEW COVENANT with the Jewish believers and also becomes a better Gentile, a fulfilled, completed, GOD-fearing, GOD-honoring Gentile.

The NEW COVENANT teaches that true CHRIST-like-ones (distinctive ones, pleasant, loving, good, easy to get along with, kindly, benevolent, excellent, gracious, generous, etc.) from both the Jewish and Gentile ranks, are the NEW COVENANT believers of Jeremiah 31:31-34.

"Just as Abraham believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the SCRIPTURE, foreseeing that GOD would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the GOSPEL to Abraham beforehand, saying — In you all the nations shall be blessed. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham." [Galatians 3. 6 - 9]

Notice that the Galatians Gentiles never were called Jews; they were called "sons of Abraham."  The truth in the forgoing SCRIPTURE verses is concerning the "Faith" of Abraham and all those who have that same faith are considered righteous along with him.  {Abraham was before Moses so then did not observe the Mosaic Law to be righteous. The Covenant with Abraham [Genesis/Bereshith 12. 1 – 3] is to be distinguished from the OLD COVENANT with Israel. [Exodus/Shemot 19. 1–5]  The ABRAHAMIC COVENANT is still valid and applicable today. The Law of Moses was added several hundred years later but it did not disannul the ABRAHAMIC COVENANT. The Mosaic Law was not invalidated with the Cross, and the ABRAHAMIC COVENANT is still in effect. [Galatians 3. 17]}

Because Gentile believers are called the sons of Abraham by faith in SCRIPTURE, does not make them spiritual JEWS.   Remember, not all the natural children of Abraham are Jews.  Arabs are not classed as Jews, yet they are the natural descendants of Abraham!  So it is in the CHRISTian realm.  It is not enough to be a child of Abraham to make one a Jew!  Gentiles who are of Abraham's "seed" are not made Jews by their faith but do become partakers in the blessings of the JEWISH COVENANTS.  They become spiritual Gentiles and are called heirs according the promise — "And if you are CHRIST'S — then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." [Galatians 3. 29]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & PROTECTOR, blessed are YOU , O LORD, the SHIELD of Abraham. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow upon us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Our crowning achievement is to bend our evil inclinations, to love The LORD our ELOHIYM, to walk in HIS ways, and cleave to HIM.  To cleave to HIM means to have faith. To walk in HIS ways means to be close to our HEAVENLY FATHER. To be close to HIM means to be similar to HIM. Therefore our crowning achievement is to be like HIM:
      HE Acts                                              Crowning Achievement
…with Loving Kindness                          …we act with loving kindness
…with mercy                                                               …we act mercifully
…in charity                                                                 …we act charitable
…and He is TRUTH                                            …we are truthful

GOD’S AMAZING GRACE
"Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy — To the church of the Thessalonians in GOD the FATHER and the LORD JESUS CHRIST: Grace to you and peace from GOD our FATHER and the LORD JESUS CHRIST." [2 Thessalonians 1. 1]

These are the very first of Paul’s divinely inspired words and in this first of his inspired greetings, he set a pattern which he would continue to follow in all his other epistles,  Paul always begins with an implicit prayer that both grace and peace, sent from the GOD THE FATHER, and HIS SON, the LORD Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE, would be received and experienced by all who he was writing to, and those who read and believed. Furthermore, grace always precedes peace in these salutations, because one must receive the grace of GOD before he can experience the peace of GOD.

Paul’s strong emphasis on grace — preceding anything else he might write to the church or its pastor — he confirmed the great importance of GOD’S loving grace. Grace is the first essential in salvation and is the continuing vital essential in CHRIST-like living. The Thessalonians had already been saved by grace through faith, but now the grace of GOD their FATHER and Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH their LORD must also be lived out in their personal behavior, especially in their dealings with others, to whom GOD would also manifest HIS grace through them.

In closing, Paul also ended every one of his epistles with a prayer that the grace of CHRIST the LORD would continue to be with all who would read them. Finally, the last of his inspired words, written while he was in prison, to his young disciple, Timothy, were "The LORD JESUS CHRIST be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen." [2 Timothy 4. 22]

Every life in MESSIAH must begin, continue, and end in the sustaining grace of the BELOVED SAVIOR. The dispensation of grace is real stewardship, a responsibility committed to every one who believes. Indeed, the very last revealed words of the ALMIGHTY ONE HIMSELF WHO’S coming will be quickly are: "The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you all. Amen." [Revelation 22. 21]   Thanks be to our LOVING MASTER for HIS amazing love.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Whoever walks upright, works righteousness and speaks the truth will abide in the LORD'S Tabernacle and dwell in HIS holy hill.  Watch and pray that you may be found worthy.  Be encouraged and stand strong, the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA our KING is coming soon!
"Kumi Ori — Arise & Shine!"  Stay alert for such a time as this, keep watching and praying. Blessings to all who love Zion!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Wed 03 Jan 2018, 9:37 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Take my advise...I’m going to give it until you do!

FIRST, SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD
"Seek first the KINGDOM OF GOD and HIS righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." [Matthew 6. 33]

An important guideline for the things that should be done first, is to choose the best "thing". In the NEW COVENANT, a priority is listed that one may consider:
PRIORITY IN AWARENESS — "Knowing this first: Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying — Where is the promise of HIS coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." [2 Peter 3. 3 - 4] The natural man, having initial intellectual heresy these days, is the anti-GOD philosophy of believing in a natural evolution, as is briefly outlined in this passage from SCRIPTURE.

PRIMARY IN BEHAVIOR — "First cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also." [Matthew 23. 26] The thoughts of our hearts will inevitably control the words on our lips, and the works of our hands, and the path we walk in.

PRINCIPLE IN GIVING — "They first gave themselves to the LORD." [2 Corinthians 8. 5] Whatever possessions, wealth, aptitude, time, privileged circumstances or any other resources belong to the LORD GOD. However such gifts are acceptable to the MASTER only when they are offered by the one whose heart first has been given fully to HIM.

MOST IMPORTANT IN WITNESSING — "For I delivered to you first of all...that CHRIST died for our sins according to the SCRIPTURES, and that HE was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the SCRIPTURES." [1 Corinthians 15. 3 - 4] "Therefore my heart rejoices (celebrates, takes delight in), and my glory exults (triumphs, takes pride in); my flesh also will rests secure in hope. For YOU will not abandon my soul in Sheol, nor will YOU allow YOUR HOLY ONE to see corruption." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 9 – 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We are not commanded to force CHRISTian standards on the unbelieving world, but we are to share with the unsaved, the Gospel of MESSIAH, the GLORIOUS ONE.

ESSENTIAL IN CONCERN — "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men...For this is good and acceptable in the sight of GOD our SAVIOR, WHO desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." [1 Timothy 2. 1, 3 - 4] "Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our LORD...but share with me in the sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of GOD, WHO has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS own purpose and grace which was given to us in CHRIST JESUS before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS, WHO has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel." [1 Timothy 1. 8 - 10] GODliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

"Whoever follows righteousness and mercy attains life, righteousness and honor." [Proverbs (Mishle) 21. 21 Tanakh, Kethuvim] In every decision, our first determined commitment should be to do that which honors the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, the KINGDOM OF CHRIST, and HIS righteousness. In everything, serve the LORD GOD with the abundance of joy and gladness of heart.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD, blessed are YOU , O LORD, the SHIELD of Abraham. YOU, O LORD are mighty forever, YOU quicken the dead; and YOU are mighty to save and sustain the living with lovingkindness and cause salvation to spring forth. I love you, LORD and lift up my voice to YOU in praise and worship!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The tongue is the heart’s pen and the mind’s messenger.

SINS OF THE TONGUE
"Miryam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite (Ethiopian) woman he had married: he married a Cushite woman!" [Numbers (B'Midvar) 12. 1 Tanakh, Torah]

After this event, the EVER-PRESENT ONE called Moses, Aaron, and Miryam to the Tabernacle of the Congregation and spoke to them about this "Sin-of-the-Tongue (Hebrew: leshon ha'ra — evil tongue)." For this sin, Miryam became leprous. Due to the fact that Aaron was the High Priest who wore the Holy Garments and had the Anointing Oil of GOD poured on him; so as not to defile this sacred office — the RIGHTEOUS MASTER did not strike him with leprosy also. Aaron confessed their sin of evil speaking and Moses intercedes for Miryam's healing. She was shut out of the camp for seven days; the people did not journey on until Miryam was brought in again. [Numbers/B'Midvar 12. 1 - 16]

"The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. It is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell." [James 3. 6] The tongue speaks what is within us. Words of envy, faultfinding, complaining or resentment will affect the body. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. "It (the tongue) is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." [James 3. 8] Not only do we poison ourselves with this disorderly member, but also by the wrong use of our tongues we bring others into condemnation. There is suffering and destruction as well as health in this little organ of our mouth. "There is one who speaks like the piercing of a sword, but the speech of the wise promotes healing." [Proverbs/Mishle 12. 18]

The remedy of healing an "insolent tongue" is available and it can become a "sanctified tongue." First is confession of the sin. Then, as with Moses who did not criticize Miriam or condemn her; he simply interceded for her — this is a consecrated, sanctified, controlled tongue!

The PRECIOUS COMFORTER, the HOLY SPIRIT, in the epistle of James, said that no man could tame that little member of the body. [James 3. 8] Man cannot, but the BELOVED SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD can. HE enables us to do that which we cannot do without HIM! Thus, Rabbis have taught that the purpose of the tongue is to elevate the level of holiness in our world by communicating the greatness, the presence, and the character of CREATOR GOD through our words as HIS precious children.

If you want your tongue to be tamed, to be delivered, to be controlled and be a consecrated (holy) tongue, the MIGHTY COMFORTER, the "DOVE OF PEACE & PERFECT LOVE" will do in your life what is impossible without HIM. And, as you allow HIM, HE will fill your life with HIS Special Fruits. . ."love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." [Galatians 5. 22 - 23] Lets use our lips to bless and praise; remembering that man will be satisfied with the good fruit of his mouth.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us. We sanctify YOUR NAME on earth, as the heavens declare YOUR glory. For the LORD is wonderful in counsel and excellent in workings.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Old age is like a plane flying through a storm. Once you’re aboard, there’s nothing you can do. [Golda Meir]

NUMBERING OUR DAYS
"So teach us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a heart of wisdom." [Psalm (Tehillym) 90. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This prayer of counsel is written as a psalm, a great word of advise written by Moses as he was about to finish his long life of service to the SUPREME Lord.  He had lived 120 years, although the normal life span is only seventy or eighty.  Moses’ first forty years were spent serving the Egyptians; his next forty years were tending sheep for his father-in-law, Jethro in Midian; and then his service to GOD was forty years delivering Israel from Egyptian bondage and shepherding them in the wilderness on the way to the Promised Land.

Thus, Moses stressed the vital importance of "numbering our days" so that we may determine to wisely use whatever time we have individually.  In Deuteronomy Moses also wrote: "Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!" [Deuteronomy/Devarim 32. 29]

The SOVEREIGN ONE counsels throughout HOLY SCRIPTURE to number our days while "redeeming the time." [Colossians 4. 5]  We know not when the LORD will return or death will overtake us.  "Walk circumspectly (carefully), not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." [Ephesians 5. 15 - 16]   "Do not boast of tomorrow, for you do not know what a day will bring forth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 27. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." [James 4. 14]

Whatever this New Year may bring into your life, be it chaos, prosperity or death, no matter what evil comes on this earth — the days will still afford opportunity to serve the LOVING ETERNAL GOD, our MIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS.  "Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us but to YOUR NAME bring glory, because of YOUR love, YOUR faithfulness, and YOUR mercy." [Psalms (Tehillym) 115. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Beloved, "build yourselves up on your most holy faith — keep yourselves in the love of GOD, looking for the mercy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST unto eternal life." [Jude 20 - 21]  Whatever time we have, let us make our days count exclusively for the MASTER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Thank you for being a part of our life! As we enter another year, we prayerfully urge each of you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD in the bond of peace. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. But, in the hand of the MASTER, our life's work can be truly beautiful.  May the grace of our precious LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH be with your spirit every moment of each new day. Y’SHUA does not bring peace on earth, HE is PEACE; even in the midst of trials and sorrows, we find, live in, and share HIS Heavenly peace.  Confidently assured that the LORD ETERNAL will lead us through our valleys whatever they be and secure in HIS grace, mercy, forgiveness and love.
Our prayerful desire for you:  Comfort on difficult days; Smiles when sadness intrudes; Rainbows to follow the clouds; Laughter to kiss your lips; Sunsets to warm your heart; Gentle hugs when spirits sag; Friendships to brighten your being; Beauty for your eyes to see; Confidence for when you doubt; Faith to believe; Courage to be bold; Patience to accept the truth, and tender Love that is eternal.

We asked GOD to bless you when we prayed for you today, to guide you and protect you on your way — HIS love is always with you, HIS promises are sure. No matter what tribulation comes, HE is faithful to see us through. So when the road you're traveling seems difficult at best, give your problems to the LORD, and our MIGHTY & AWESOME GOD will do the rest.
We wish you and your family a happy, healthy year – may you have a year filled with meaning and purpose and happiness that will surely follow.
Love, in MESSIAH’S service — Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
ALMIGHTY GOD’S attributes of mercy is manifest in two different ways: From HIS open hand HE constantly pours out blessings. HIS closed hand indicates that the MERCIFUL ONE holds back HIS severe judgment.
FOR SURE!
"But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 32. 23 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The Hebrew word yada’ takes in many aspects of certainty sure, aware, comprehend, consider, take knowledge, know, assure, discover, teach, tell, understand and the eternal consideration should be made for the soul of each individual.  From the very beginning, the ALMIGHTY CREATOR had warned of the consequences of disobedience, death and damnation.  Adam was forewarned — "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 16 - 17 Tanakh, Torah]  All our sins will be exposed and judgment follows accordingly. "Nevertheless the solid foundation of GOD stands sure, having this seal — The LORD knows those who are HIS — and — Let everyone who names the Name of CHRIST depart from iniquity." [2 Timothy 2. 19]

OMNIPOTENT GOD'S great mercy and enduring faithfulness is also yada’ for HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD and the HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE, "WHO is the GUARANTEE of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of HIS glory." [Ephesians 1. 14; 2 Corinthians 1. 22; 5. 5] "And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place." [2 Peter 1. 19]  We are also sure of GOD'S promised salvation, "This HOPE we have as an ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the PRESENCE behind the veil." [Hebrews 6. 19]

Thus, through faith and patience we can inherit the promises as we show "the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of HIS glory." [Hebrews 6. 11]

Of a certainty, the WORD OF GOD is sure, if HE has said it, it is settled if you believe it or not.  We can be sure that our sins must be judged, and we can be just as certain that if we come to the ONE WHO is the CLEANSING FOUNTAIN, we will have forgiveness, if we believe HIS sure promises and receive HIS sure salvation.  Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH promised to return and complete HIS work of redemption and reconciliation graciously stating, "Surely I am coming quickly." [Revelation 22. 20]

First, each of us must individually make sure that we believe the SURE WORD OF TRUTH and have acquired this absolute hope. "Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the Everlasting Kingdom of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST." [2 Peter 1. 10 - 11]

We can be sure that our sins will be judged, but, blessed assurance we can be eternally sure and secure when we know the amazing gift of forgiveness from our BLESSED REDEEMER and believe HIS sure promises and saving grace of salvation.  Even so, come LORD JESUS!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We thank YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for YOUR grace, unto YOU do we turn continually, for YOU alone abide deep in the solitude of our hearts. May we ever trust in YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, and be unafraid in the face of the inscrutable (unfathomable, immeasurable, unknowable, unimaginable) years, and see that everything happens for the best. Because of YOU LORD, there is perfect peace in our hearts at the nearness of YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest, Amen.
Open your hearts in song as the sunset swells into a rhythm of changing colors. O taste and see that the LORD is good to those who trust in HIM and wait for HIM; to the one who seeks HIM with all their heart, HE will be found by them. Enjoy the PRESENCE of ALMIGHTY LORD this lovely day!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Being in the hands of ALMIGHTY GOD is the best way to ensure blessings from Above by being guided by the wisdom of the TORAH.
WHATEVER HE PLEASES
"Our GOD is in Heaven; and all that HE wills HE accomplishes." [Psalms (Tehillym) 115. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Often, we question the CREATOR’S actions, but HE is never obligated to explain to us HIS reasons.  It is enough to know that it pleases HIM, for whatever HE does is right and for our best and HIS glory. If one were to ask why GOD created the universe, we simply and correctly answer that it was for HIS "pleasure they were and are created!" [Revelation 4. 11]  "Whatever the LORD desires HE does in heaven and in earth, in the seas and all depths." [Psalms (Tehillym) 135. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  We also were created for HIS pleasure, therefore HE does not have to give account to us for HIS actions; and assuredly, HE does all things well.

You may ask, why HE allowed HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON to suffer and die on the cross.  The answer is found in HOLY SCRIPTURE, for although "HE had done no violence, nor was any deceit in HIS mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM" and "to make HIS soul an offering for sin" knowing that ultimately "the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in HIS hand." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

We may never be able to understand why LORD GOD, the ALL-POWERFUL SOVEREIGN CREATOR did this, especially for sinners such as you and I, but we don’t have to understand.  "It pleased GOD through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." [1 Corinthians 1. 21] Take note, the Text clearly established that it is for those who BELIEVE, not to them that understand.

YEHOWAH, the SELF-EXISTING ONE WHO has perfect reasons for everything HE does, and we shall understand it all in eternity. "We know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is." [1 John 3. 2]

Meanwhile, along with Paul the Apostle, we are to always be thankful that "it pleased GOD, WHO separated me from my mother's womb and called me through HIS grace, to reveal HIS SON in me." [Galatians 1. 15 - 16]  In the same way, HE has, beyond my comprehension, "predestined us to adoption as sons by JESUS CHRIST to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will, to the praise of the glory of HIS grace, by which HE made us accepted in the BELOVED." [Ephesians 1. 5 – 6]

So for the time being, it is enough for us, HIS people, to be like our TEACHER — and as HIS servant, to be like our MASTER [Matthew 10. 25], confidently standing fast in HIS perfect plan.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath! May yours be a Yom She’kulo Shabbat (a day which is all Sabbath). Sabbath of Vayiechi – “And HE Lived” [Reading: Genesis 47:28-50:26; 1 Kings 2:1-12; John 13:1-19]
Praise to ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD!  We praise and bless you O GOD for lovingly and graciously giving YOUR Holy Shabbat, the imagery of beauty and radiance testifying to the tremendous affection that the Sabbath is enjoyed among YOUR people in YOUR presence.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Light travels faster then sound; that is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
NO OTHER FOUNDATION
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST." [1 Corinthians 3. 11]

The LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH is the only sure and lasting foundation.  This is a true fact either for the CHRISTian organization or for the individual follower of the GIVER OF LIFE.  There is no other foundation that will or can endure in the days ahead when "each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians 3. 13 - 15]

Therefore it is vital to build on the FOUNDATION that Y’SHUA HIMSELF has laid. This is laid in three lessons, each of which is essential for its stability.
First:  It is crucially imperative that we acknowledge and confess that "of old YOU laid the foundation of the earth; the heavens are the work of YOUR hands...They will perish, but YOU remain; and they will all wear out like a garment; like a cloak YOU change them, and they will be changed. But YOU are the same, and YOUR years never end." [Psalms (Tehillym) 102. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim; Hebrews 1. 10 - 12]  GOD is the MASTER CREATOR of all things, and LORD over all.  EL is YEHOWAH!

Second:  We must recognize and admit that we have been redeemed "with the precious blood of CHRIST" and that "HE indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world!" [1 Peter 1. 19 - 20]  "When the fullness of the time had come, GOD sent forth HIS SON, born of a woman, born under the Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." [Galatians 4. 4 - 5]

Third:  There is the WORD OF GOD, which is foundational to everything beyond creation and redemption. "Be doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." [James 1. 22]  "Whoever comes to ME, and hears MY sayings and DOES them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was FOUNDED ON THE ROCK." [Luke 5. 47 - 48]

The LORD Y’SHUA is the TRUE FOUNDATION, for HE HIMSELF laid every SURE FOUNDATION.  HE created all things, HIS precious shed blood is the price to redeem all things, and HIS HOLY LIFE-GIVING WORD, by HIS HOLY SPIRIT, reveals all things needed to build a beautiful, fruitful CHRIST-like life of ministry. "Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF being the CHIEF CORNERSTONE, in WHOM the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a Holy Temple in the LORD." [Ephesians 2. 20 - 21]

There is no other foundation that can or will last, and "if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 11. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "O HOPE of Israel! O LORD! All who forsake YOU shall be put to shame, Those in the land who turn from YOU shall be doomed men, inscribed in the earth, for they have forsaken the LORD, the FOUNTAIN of Living Waters." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Even now, put your trust in the LORD JESUS, HE is the "EXCLUSIVE HOPE" of Israel and the nations.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We bid farewell to Sabbath by singing the song in the Havdallah ritual that states, “the Prophet Elijah, the Tishbite from Gilead, may he come to us soon with the SON OF DAVID, the MESSIAH” — the GREATEST ONE that we fix our gaze on.  We also pray that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life and open our mouth to declare HIS praises continually.  Unto YOU alone, O LORD GOD do we turn; for YOU alone abide deep in the solitude of our hearts. May we ever trust in YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, and be unafraid in the face of the inscrutable (unfathomable, immeasurable, unknowable, unimaginable) years ahead, and see that everything happens for the best. Because of YOU LORD, there is perfect peace in our hearts at the nearness of YOU.
Have a joyous week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come let us adore HIM, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, CHRIST THE LORD.

THE MESSAGE
CHRISTMAS time is meant to remind us of one of the most profound mysteries of GOD...how the PRINCE OF PEACE came to earth and lived in the flesh, without sin, and finally took our sins upon HIMSELF that we might be healed.

We as believers should remember the GREATEST GIFT of all is ALMIGHTY GOD'S peace and reconciliation through HIS SON, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH. However one chooses to remember GOD'S ULTIMATE ACT OF GRACE to us, and on whatever day, we can never hold it too dear. Therefore, the greatest gift that we can give during this holy season is to share the "GIFT, the LIVING HOPE" HE has given us with those around us:

"For a CHILD will be born to us, a SON will be given to us. And authority will rest on HIS shoulders. HE has been named WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, ETERNAL FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. In token of abundant authority and of peace without limit upon David's throne and kingdom, that it may be firmly established in justice and in equity now and evermore. The zeal of the LORD OF HOSTS shall bring this to pass." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

To Miryam (Mary) it was imparted: "And behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a SON, and you shall call HIS name, Jesus. HE will be great, and will be called the SON OF THE MOST HIGH; and the LORD GOD will give HIM the throne of HIS father David; and HE will reign over the House of Jacob forever; and HIS Kingdom will have no end." [Luke 1. 31 - 33]

Have a warm and blessed CHRISTmas, another day to recognize the birth of the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA and rejoice that He loved us enough to come to earth and give His life that we might be reconciled to HIM for all eternity. May we ever continue to serve, bless and give thanks for the miracle of GOD'S MOST REMARKABLY EXCELLENT GIFT. . . HIS PRECIOUS SON Y’ESHUA, our REDEEMER, SAVIOR & SOON-COMING KING!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The SPECIAL GIFT of a SON was given to you and me — HIS NAME is Y’SHUA/JESUS the greatly loved of the HEAVENLY FATHER. Such joy we have because of HIM this season and every day of our life.
Help us, O our GOD, to banish from our hearts all pride and vain-glory, all confidence in worldly possessions, all self-sufficient leaning upon our own reason. Fill us with the spirit of meekness and the grace of modesty, that we may become wise in the fear of YOU. May we never forget that all we have and prize is but lent to us, a trust for which we must render account to YOU. O HEAVENLY FATHER , put into our hearts the love and fear of YOU, that we may consecrate our lives to YOUR service and glorify YOUR NAME in the eyes of all men.
Wishing you very special and joyous CHRISTmas Day!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no reason to try predicting the future, the BIBLE has already done that. . . and with greater certainty.

EVEN NOW
"You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, HIS OWN special people, that you may proclaim the praises of HIM WHO called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of GOD, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." [1 Peter 2. 9 - 10]

There are so very many marvelous and wondrous things that await us IF we have trusted the LORD Messiah Y’SHUA for our salvation — specifically, His mercies: "The LORD is longsuffering, slow to anger, abundant in mercy and abounding in kindness; forgiving iniquity and transgression." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 14. 18 Tanakh, Torah] "One thing GOD has spoken; two things have I heard — That Might belongs to ADONEY, and Faithfulness is YOURS, O LORD, to reward each man according to his deeds." [Psalms (Tehillym) 62. 11 - 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

It is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM.." [1 Corinthians 2. 9] However, do not miss the next line. . . "But GOD has revealed them to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 10] "The concealed (secret) things belong to the LORD GOD, but the overt acts (those things which are clearly revealed), it is for us and to our children ever to apply all the words and provisions of this TEACHING (Law)." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] This means that we are free from any condemnation at the Judgment. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT. For the Law of the SPIRIT of life in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and death." [Romans 8. 1 - 2]

We have been justified already, declared righteous with the righteousness of MESSIAH Y’SHUA HIMSELF. "GOD demonstrates HIS OWN love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by HIS blood, we shall be saved from wrath through HIM. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to GOD through the death of HIS SON, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by HIS life." [Romans 5. 8 - 10] "But now the righteousness of GOD apart from the Law is revealed — even the righteousness of GOD, through faith in CHRIST JESUS, to all and on all who believe." [Romans 3. 21 – 22] We are now the people of the RIGHTEOUS, LOVING, HOLY GOD who have obtained mercy.

In the magnificent passage, the precious Apostle John confirms the glorious truth, "Beloved, now we are children of GOD; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is." [1 John 3. 2]

As CHRIST-like-ones, we have the wonderful assurance that our blessed LORD Y’SHUA is praying for us, even now for Messiah, the perfect REFUGE, is entered into Heaven itself. "For MESSIAH has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us" [Hebrews 9. 24] since "HE always lives to make intercession for them." [Hebrews 7. 25]

"Now to Him Who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to GOD our SAVIOR, WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen!" [Jude 24 - 25] What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Judgment is coming, troubles are coming, and we must live disciplined, enduring CHRIST-filled lives. Lives disciplined by the WORD OF GOD and empowered by HIS HOLY SPIRIT to give us strength and courage to fight evil and to triumph over it. May the WONDROUS LORD GOD grant you the privilege to witness and experience the marvelous miracle of being delivered from the yoke of slavery to sin. All glory and praise to the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD, KING OF CREATION forever!
Our prayer is that this new year marks a new beginning for you. . . through a year blessed with goodness and promise through MESSIAH Y’SHUA the KING OF Glory. May your home be filled with love and may the year ahead be filled with sweetness. May happiness, love, and the joy of Messiah reign in your lives daily. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
What is improper in public is forbidden in secret.

FOOT OF PRIDE
"Let not the foot of the proud and arrogant tread on me, or the hand of the wicked drive me away." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This not only shows the contrast only between good and evil; but above all, between the prideful man living without a fear of the ALMIGHTY, and the one who has a reverential fear of GOD ETERNAL and is living blamelessly before HIM.

"I know what transgression says to the wicked; he has no sense of the dread of GOD because its speech is seduction to him till his iniquity be found out and he be hated. His words are wickedly evil and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and will not consider doing good. In bed he plots mischief; he is set on a path of no good; he does not abhor evil nor reject it." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 1 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This fully describes the new age humanist today. The humanists are somehow convinced that there is no LIVING OMNISCIENT GOD, but if HE does exist, certainly HE does not intervene in the affairs of men.

Therefore, the cynic (pessimist, doubter), the agnostic humanist, sets himself up as the authority and does what is right in his own eyes. He is foolish in the ultimate sense even practicing abhorrent sins in the very face of the HOLY OMNIPOTENT GOD insisting that promiscuity, homosexuality, witchcraft, abortion, child molestation, evolution, etc. are to be accepted and desired. "There is none who understands; there is none who seeks after GOD. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of GOD before their eyes." [Romans 3. 11 - 18]

The GREAT GOD OF CREATION does deal with men and HIS desire is for mans good. "O LORD YOUR mercy and faithfulness reaches to heaven; YOUR steadfastness to the sky; YOUR righteousness and beneficence is like the high mountains; YOUR justice like the great deep; man and beast YOU deliver, O LORD. How precious is YOUR loving-kindness and faithful care, O GOD! Mankind shelters in the shadow of YOUR wings. They feast on the rich fare of YOUR house; YOU let them drink at YOUR refreshing stream. With YOU is the fountain of life; by YOUR light do we see light." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 5 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The ALMIGHTY ONE will break the pride (Hebrew: ga'own — arrogance, haughtiness) of power and your strength will be spent in vain . The wicked man’s foot of pride will ultimately fall: "There lie the workers of iniquity, the evildoers, fallen. They have been thrust down and are unable to rise." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] But we can pray as David prayed, "Bestow YOUR loving-kindness and faithful care on those devoted to YOU, and YOUR righteousness and beneficence on the upright in heart" [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim], and be confident that the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL hears and is faithful to answer.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The LORD GOD gave America as a land for freedom to serve HIM, and we experienced HIS blessings. However, the people have not faithfully obeyed HIS voice nor walked in HIS Law. They did not continue in all that the HOLY ONE commanded them to do; therefore we have caused all this great calamity to come upon ourselves. If we as a nation would only repent and turn to the RIGHTEOUS LOVING CREATOR, HE would bring about all the good that HE promised to those who love HIM in sincerity and truth. If we do not fully repent, watch for the basest (dishonorable, improper, shameful, sordid, disgusting, corrupt, vile, degraded, immoral, wicked, utterly depraved) of men to rule in this country and all the other nations. [see Daniel/Danyel 4. 17] Consider your latter end; fear GOD THE HOLY CREATOR, take heed to HIS counsel, seek to understand and pray for our leaders.

It is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM." [1 Corinthians 2. 9]   However, do not miss the next line. .

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come! O come EMMANU’️EL!

CELEBRATING ONE HOPE
Obscure it was, a tiny town
and far away from here.
But a brightness shone
from heaven afar
to lead the wise men there.

Unnoticed by a struggling world,
a tiny BABE is wrapped.
A Mother sighs to hold HIM tight
against the chilling damp.

But up above the angels sing
to honor such a KING
WHO left HIS majesty on high
to save the wandering.

And lowly shepherds they did send
to gaze upon the CHILD
To see the power of MIGHTY GOD
wrapped humbly, meek and mild.

For just ahead ETERNAL HOPE
for them and us is laid,
Because upon a wooden cross
HIS life HE gave to save.

And at this wondrous CHRISTmas-time
our praises soar on high
For from the grave HE conquered death
and at our door is nigh.

Again, CHRISTmas is a reason
to open wide our hearts to HIM
For our ONE HOPE is JESUS CHRIST
WHO saves us from our sin.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Merry CHRISTmas! Let us celebrate the day our BELOVED LORD Y’️SHUA came by entering into HIS PRESENCE & LIGHT with thanksgiving and praise to the KING OF GLORY.
"Have a Joyous CHRISTmas Season! — Our SAVIOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL reigns!" Our prayer for each of you is to have firsthand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, KING Y’️SHUA Who'S coming to earth we celebrate this time of year.
Happy & Glorious CHRISTmas!
Our love to each of you. . . Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
All praise and glory to the THREE in ONE.

INCARNATE WORD
"For what the Law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD did by sending HIS OWN SON in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: HE condemned sin in the flesh." [Romans 8. 3]

The great truth of CHIRSTmas (CHRIST sent — is the original meaning) is that ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD was "manifest in the flesh." [1 Timothy 3. 16]   The ETERNAL WORD "became flesh and dwelt among us." [John 1. 14]  So imperative is this reality that "every spirit that does not confess that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is not of GOD. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." [1 John 4. 3]  Therefore, "these are written that you may believe that JESUS is the CHRIST, the SON OF GOD, and that believing you may have life in HIS NAME." [John 20. 31]

Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE is the GOD/MAN — INFINITE GOD and PERFECT MAN, jointed perfectly in full union, and salvation is based on this TRUTH.  If Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH were not PERFECT MAN, HE could not die for the sins of man; if HE were not GOD, HE could not defeat death and save us from the penalty of sin.

Furthermore, the SINLESS SAVIOR could not be born in sinful flesh, of course, like all the descendants of Adam, but only in the likeness of sinful flesh.  From the moment of conception HE must be "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners." [Hebrews 7. 26],  and thus be conceived miraculously in a virgin’s womb.

In fact, that miraculous creation of HIS body in the womb of Miryam (Mary) was the actual moment when GOD became MAN.  Y’SHUA was born the only perfect LAMB OF GOD that can take away our sins, covering them with HIS perfect blood of atonement.  This LAMB, the INFANT JESUS, is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, so we celebrate HIS birth.   "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD. HE was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." [John 1. 1]

Oh that the whole world would truly honor the glorious reason for the coming of the KING of all ages.  For indeed, HE came to seek and save those that are lost.  So this CHRISTmas, offer yourselves to HIM in worship and adoration of HIM WHO came and gave HIMSELF for us. Such a magnificent fact and wonder of wonders...HE came!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Be blessed as we bid farewell to Shabbat!  May the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins and grant us a good week as we continue in HIS service!
May the light of Y’SHUA burn through the gloom of the lonely and cold parts of our world, and may it be our mission to warm those held captive by the dark night.
Have a blessed CHRISTmas. . . may your home be filled with the joy and peace that only the BLESSED LORD can bring daily.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May our words and deeds revere THE NAME as we celebrate because HE came!

JUST ANOTHER BABY BOY?
Just another BABY BOY — born in Bethlehem town.
One more hungry mouth to feed, and so the world slept on.
It was a weary, captive world gripped tight in Rome's domain.
The chilling fear of tyranny fast held them like a chain.
Another BABY, more or less...what difference could HE be?

One more soul to bear the pain and share their misery.
So passed mankind a winter's night, those beaten down by sin,
Too dull to hear angelic strains that rose above the din.
Now two millennia have passed since CREATOR GOD took human frame.
The world runs its appointed course, but nevermore the same.

HE gathered up the captive's chain
Once forged for you and me.
HE broke the foul tyrant's grasp and purchased liberty.

Now looms above the manager bed a message for all men:
HE died, HE lives, HE intercedes, HE'S coming back again!
Then herald forth the joyous word, our voices lift as one. . .
. . . the BABE WHO slept in the cattle stall
Is ALMIGHTY GOD'S TRIUMPHANT SON.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! Sabbath Vayigash – “And HeCame Near” [Reading: Genesis 44:18-47:27; Ezekiel 37:15-28; Luke 24:30-48]
It’s the beginning of another wonderful Season — remembering our BLESSED SAVIOR coming into this world to save us…be sure to make it a joyous CHRIST-filled time!
The LORD Y’SHUA came almost 2,000 years ago as a Lamb to die. A CHILD was born – PERFECTLY HUMAN/PERFECT GOD. A SON was given – undiminished deity. Y’SHUA is coming again as a LION to rule. And when HE does, the government will be upon HIS shoulder. That is, HE will reign in absolute authority. HE has been given names to indicate the character of that future reign: WONDERFUL, because HE is so magnificent and amazing. Really, there is no coined words that can fully describe HIM. COUNSELOR, because HE will govern with faultless discernment. THE MIGHTY GOD, because HE will rule with absolute authority. EVERLASTING FATHER, because HE will possess endless longevity. PRINCE OF PEACE, because HIS Kingdom will be characterized by enduring tranquility. In Hebrew, the number 5 represents GRACE (the number of names given to THE CHILD) . . . grace is greater then all our sins, and it is seen in these names – HalleluYAH!
"HalleluYAH" Praises YOU LORD, our KING, our GREAT GOD & GOD of our fathers, may our lives be a continual act of worship to YOU. Teach us to be satisfied with the gifts of YOUR goodness and gratefully rejoice in YOUR many mercies to us. Purify our hearts, make us zealous for YOUR Law that we may serve YOU in truth that brings rest and joy, peace and comfort throughout every generation. Guard our mouth that YOUR NAME be kept holy. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable to YOU, O LORD GOD, my ROCK, my MIGHTY REFUGE and my REDEEMER. Amen!
Because Y’SHUA came, there is an answer to our questions; a solution to our problems; a hope for our end. . . HE is all these. Therefore, rejoice exceedingly in the eternal message. . . for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
A joyous CHRISTmas to each of you! Blessings always as we celebrate our MESSIAH Y’SHUA.
Have a wonderful & peace-filled CHRISTmas! Remember always the HOLY ONE WHOM we celebrate and adore this special SeaSON!
During this festive and holy season, let us join together and praying for GOD’S Chosen People as they celebrate GOD’S miracles of victory, provision, dedication and Light.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Draw me nearer to YOU, LORD JESUS with the breath of love. Swiftly shall I come to stand within YOUR radiance that I may attain that sweetness of all intimacies!

BETHLEHEM’S BABE
"And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, least among the clans of Judah, from you ONE shall come forth to be the RULER in Israel for ME — ONE WHOSE origin is from old, from ancient times." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

This explicit prophecy of the birth of the future KING OF ISRAEL in the little village of Bethlehem was nearly 700 years before Y’SHUA, the PROMISED ANOINTED ONE ultimately and remarkably came to earth.  Then the ALMIGHTY WONDROUS LORD of all grace used the illustrious Emperor Augustus in Rome to make a decree for a census and taxation, compelling Joseph to take his espoused wife Miryam (Mary) to the little town of Bethlehem for her CHILD to be born there.

An actual birth is incredibly clear as the text uses the verbiage "come forth" along with the warning that GOD would "leave them helpless, until she who is to bear has given birth." [Micah (Michah) 5. 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  SCRIPTURE also reveals: "they will strike the RULER OF ISRAEL (this SOON-RETURNING RIGHTEOUS JUDGE) on the cheek with a staff" [Micah/Michah 5. 1], speaking of both the rejection and the execution of MESSIAH Y’SHUA.

Furthermore, the prophecy not only foresees Y’SHUA’S birth in Bethlehem, HIS rejection and denial by HIS OWN people, and HIS eventual rule as SOVEREIGN KING over Israel and the whole world; but also that this same remarkable PERSON HIMSELF was GOD OMNIPOTENT!  YESHUA had been "from everlasting."  HE is eternal proceeding from GOD THE FATHER.  GOD, the ETERNAL WORD, Y’SHUA the ANOINTED ONE, became GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON when HE was born in Bethlehem taking on human form to be the SAVIOR of mankind.  HE had been coming forth eternally revealing the HEAVENLY FATHER. "No one has seen GOD at any time. The ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO is in the bosom of the FATHER, HE has declared HIM." [John 1. 18]

Another truth is obscurely disguised in the affirmation of "goings forth" which is also used for the flowing of water from a fountain or spring, the radiation from the sun, an issue, an export, a source.  Thus, the never-ending flowing forth of power from the MAJESTIC & INEXPLICABLE CREATOR through the SON is nothing less than the sustaining energy for the whole of HIS creation as HE is "upholding all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER." [Hebrews 1. 3]  Yes, this is THE BABE of Bethlehem. . . the GLORIOUS KING of the whole world. How wondrous. . . INFINITE GOD became an INFANT, the GREAT GIVER became THE GIFT.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Our prayer is that you know the ONE WHO gives perfect peace! May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. Also, that the flame of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.  Walk joyously and boldly in the light and warmth of ALMIGHTY GOD'S compelling love; and may the HOLY ONE, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, fill you with HIS wonderful peace and indescribable happiness.
May GOD bless you with eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that knows faith that is sure of what is hoped for and certain of what is not seen. [see Hebrews 11:1]  MESSIAH Y’SHUA is the AUTHENTIC FIRST GIFT, WHO gave of HIMSELF deliberately!  By dying and victoriously resurrecting, the HOLY ONE OF GOD came into this world to save it, to reach the lost, heal the sick, befriend those without a friend in the world, and be our PERFECT EXAMPLE that we might follow HIM.
Have an outrageously joyous & peace-filled Chanukkah and CHRISTmas! Remember always the HOLY ONE WHO we celebrate and adore this special SeaSON!

Post  Admin Fri 22 Dec 2017, 12:37 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Rejoice with inexpressible joy and be filled with the glory of the LORD.

CHRISTMAS BELLS
"In that day, even the bells of the horses shall be inscribed — HOLY TO THE LORD. The metal pots in the House of the LORD shall be like the basins before the altar." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

So, just how did bells become associated with CHRISTmas or with CHRISTianity for that matter one may ask. Bells are never mentioned at all in the NEW COVENANT, yet many churches ring them for weddings, they toll to announce a death, a religious service, a curfew, or to mark time, and even warn ships of dangerous coasts. Songs like "Silver Bells" are sung throughout the CHRISTmas holiday season, and an old tune includes the words, "when they ring those golden bells for you and me."

The OLD COVENANT, however mentions two kinds of bells. The first being the golden bells on the hem of the robe of the high priest: "You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. The opening for his head shall be in the middle of it; it shall have a binding of woven work all around its opening — it shall be like the opening in a coat of mail — so that it does not tear. On its hem make pomegranates of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, all around its hem, with bells of gold between them all around: A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe. Aaron shall wear it while officiating so that the sound of it is heard when he goes into the holy place before the LORD and when he comes out — that he may not die. You shall also make a frontlet of pure gold and engrave on it the seal inscription — HOLY TO THE LORD." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 31 - 36 Tanakh, Torah]

The next mention of bells is in the initial text of Zechariah. Apparently ancient war horses, especially among the Assyrians, were fitted with bells which would sound out intensely and ferociously while charging into battle.. In that wonderful Kingdom Age that is coming, however, the bells on the horses will ring out clearly glorifying the holiness of our GREAT GOD.

May the bells of CHRISTmas remind us of both, the holiness of the LORD GOD and our GREAT HIGH PRIEST, the LORD Y’shua ha'Mashiach, the ETERNAL ONE WHO came to give HIS life that we might have life abundantly.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE allows to make you strong. By HIS great mercy, GOD has given us a new birth into a LIVING HOPE through MESSIAH Y'SHUA! Rejoice and honour the wonder of the ALMIGHTY ONE and HIS HOLY WORD; receive the BLESSING of Abraham, the SEED of Abraham. . . CHRIST JESUS the LORD.
A gift you can give each other wrapped in love for the 8-nights of Chanukkah or CHRISTmas or every day thereafter:
#1 Pride – in WHOM you belong, and for the special person HE is making of you.
#2 Courage – that you may stand up and speak out for good.
#3 Persistence – to be consistent and persistently standing in the strength of the LORD GOD.
#4 Knowledge – prioritize knowledge to gain understanding and wisdom of the LORD.
#5 Innovation – learn to think outside the box, don’t conform to ways of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
#6 Believe – with GOD, nothing is impossible. Trust in HIM to accomplish and achieve even against all odds…HE is GOD.
#7 Brotherhood – we are responsible for each other; unite, encourage, and support one another.
#8 Passion – make each day significant; enrich those around you and allow the zeal of GOD’S light to shine through of you.
Throughout the CHRISTmas Season, remember those who doubt and refuse to believe. Pray that one day very soon, they will hear the bell of faith ring true and behold the loving face of the HEAVENLY FATHER.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Faith tells me that no matter what lies ahead, GOD is already there. Hope is total confidence in GOD’️S promises that what HE says will certainly happen.

THE MACCABEES
It was on the fifteenth day of the month of Kislev, that the messengers of King Antiochus set up an idol on the altar of ALMIGHTY GOD, and had incense burnt in its honor. And they gave orders that the people of Judea should forsake the Law and the Covenant, profane the Sabbath and pollute the Sanctuary. But many chose rather to die than to forsake the Holy Covenant.

The king’️s officers came to the city of Modin, and said to Mattathias bar’️John, the son of Simon the Hasmonean, a priest of the sons of Joarib who dwelt in Modin: "You are a great man and strengthened with sons and relatives in this city. Come, then, and fulfill the king’️s command as all the heathen have done, and the men of Judah and they that remained in Jerusalem. You shall be in the number of the king’️s friends."

But Mattathias answered and spoke with a loud voice: "Though all the nations that are under the king’️s dominion obey him and fall away each one from the religion of our fathers, trusting the LORD GOD MOST HIGH, yet I and my sons and my family will walk in the Covenant of our fathers. GOD forbid that we should forsake the Law to depart from our faith either to the right hand or to the left."

When, in the sight of all, one of the Jews came to sacrifice to the idol, Mattathias was inflamed with zeal, neither could he forbear to show his anger, and he slew him, and also the king’️s officer, and he pulled down the altar. Then Mattathias cried throughout the city with a loud voice saying: "Whosoever is zealous of the Law and maintains the Covenant, let him follow me." So he and his sons fled into the mountains, and they went about pulling down the heathen altars, and rescued the Law out of the hands of the Gentiles. GOD forbid that we should forsake the Law to depart from our faith either to the right hand or to the left.

The days of Mattathias drew near that he should die and he said to his sons: "Be zealous for the Law and give your lives for the Covenant of your fathers. Remember what our fathers did in their generations. Was not Abraham found faithful in believing God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness? Phineas, son of Aaron, was exceedingly zealous for righteousness and acquired the covenant of an everlasting priesthood. David, for being faithful, inherited the throne of a kingdom forever and ever. Throughout all the ages, no one that put their trust in the ALMIGHTY were overcome. Therefore, be strong, my sons, and show yourselves men in behalf of the Law; for therein you shall obtain glory." And he blessed them and was gathered to his fathers.

Then Judah, called Maccabee, rose up in his stead, and all his brethren aided him and they fought with gladness the battle of Israel. He battled like a lion and the lawless shrunk for fear of him. He cheered Jacob by his mighty acts, and his memorial is blessed forever. And when the people feared and trembled at the sight of the great number of the enemy, and said: "What?? Being a small company, shall we be able to fight against so great and strong a multitude?" Judah answered: "With the GOD OF HEAVEN, it is totally possible to save by many or by few. For all the people shall know that there is ONE WHO redeems and saves Israel."

And Judah led them into battle, and the hosts of the enemy were discomfited before them. And, Israel had a great deliverance. Then they sang songs of thanksgiving and praised the LORD OF HEAVEN for HIS goodness and mercy that endures forever.

On the twenty-fifth day of Kislev, the same day when three years before the altar of GOD had been profaned by the heathens, the Sanctuary of GOD was dedicated anew with songs and music, and the people praised the GOD OF HEAVEN WHO had given them great victory. They celebrated the Dedication of the Altar for eight days, and there was great rejoicing among the people.

Moreover, Judah and his brethren, with the whole congregation of Israel ordained that the days of the Dedication of the Altar, the miracle of Chanukkah, should be celebrated, from year to year, for eight days in gladness and thanksgiving.

Thus, in Synagogues and homes, Chanukkah is principally observed by the lighting of candles set in an eight-branched Menorah to commemorate the Miracle and the Victory. It is significant that the eight candles of the Chanukkah Menorah are not lighted with a match but with the "Shammas." Then after the "SERVANT" has given its light to all the others it is put in a high place or a special place of honor in the Menorah. Do you not see in this action a beautiful picture of the only SERVANT (of GOD) WHO was exalted after HE had given HIS light to HIS people? In the words of Isaiah we find HIM described: "The REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, GOD'S HOLY ONE; the DESPISED ONE; HIM WHO is abhorred of nations; to the SERVANT of rulers: kings shall see and stand up; nobles, and they shall prostrate themselves — to the honor of the LORD, WHO is faithful, to the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL WHO chose you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The 7th Light is the Light of Justice. Thus said King David, "Trust in the LORD and wait patiently for HIM!" Nothing can be achieved in haste. The spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. May the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE allows to make you strong.
The commentaries state that a reason for the destruction of the Temple was due to Jews turning away from GOD in sincerity and truth to their own form of worship and for fighting against each other. The rededication of the Temple on Chanukkah saw the Jews repair their spiritual breeches and reunite around the Temple. When the Jewish people return to their MAKER, HE is faithful to forgive and restore. And in unity, we too are strongest, like two hands coming together.
Chanukkah is a special time for us to thank the LOVING CREATOR for all the little and big miracles in our lives. When we look into the beautiful, pure flames of the candles we remember that no day is just another day. There are blessings around all of us every moment, just waiting for us to notice them. By HIS great mercy, GOD has given us a new birth into a LIVING HOPE through MESSIAH Y’️SHUA!
Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness. Have a wonderful & peace-filled Chanukkah/CHRISTmas! Remember always the HOLY ONE WHOM we celebrate and adore this special SeaSON!
HAPPY CHANUKKAH & MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Our love, Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first.

FAITHFUL IS OUR GOD
"As many as received HIM (Y’️SHUA), to them HE gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD." [John 1. 12 - 13]

The righteous one lives by faith and "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" [Hebrews 11. 1]; therefore, faith is believing totally what the WORD OF GOD says. HOLY SCRIPTURE teaches us that "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians 2. 8 - 9] And faith (grace, the same Greek word, charis) in the substitutionary work of YESHUA HIMSELF on the Cross of Calvary is vitally crucial to salvation, "Whoever believes in HIM (Y’️SHUA) should not perish but have eternal life...He who believes in HIM is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the NAME of the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD." [John 3.. 15, 18] "And this is the testimony: that GOD has given us eternal life, and this life is in HIS SON. He who has the SON has life; he who does not have the SON OF GOD does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the SON OF GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 11 – 13]

However, faith does not stop there, it grows as the believer matures in the MESSIAH, the SURE FOUNDATION. Mounting faith in the MASTER DESIGNER is characterized in various ways, for instance: Whoever has accepted GOD’️S most gracious offer of forgiveness and salvation, the one who by faith has found the LORD trustworthy, comes to fully trust HIM and HIS promises in other areas as well. The Apostle Paul, who had been gravely persecuted for his faith, claimed — "For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know WHOM I have believed and am persuaded that HE is able to keep what I have committed to HIM until that Day." [2 Timothy 1. 12] "Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of GOD commit their souls to HIM in doing good, as to a FAITHFUL CREATOR." [1 Peter 4. 19] Assuredly, GOD will faithfully fulfill HIS promises, and we can have faith, unwavering confidence, that HE will do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." [Ephesians 3. 20]

Some of the great heroes of faith are written of in Hebrews 11 proving that they all had one thing in common — they dared to trust GOD explicitly for great things, even impossible things and were motivated because of that belief. Such as Abraham and Sarah: "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the City which has foundations, whose BUILDER and MAKER is GOD...By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged HIM faithful WHO had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude — innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore." [Hebrews 11. 8 - 12] These two, among several others mentioned, were confronted with an impossible problem, but all dared to trust GOD for the promised outcome, and all HIS promises were fulfilled.

The one who has attained mature faith will "rest in the LORD, be at peace and wait patiently for HIM" [Psalms/Tehillym37. 7] in the face of hardship, opposition, intimidation, oppression, threats or terrorization in this world. Allow the ALMIGHTY ONE to mold you into perfection as HE wills. "For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait on the LORD — they shall inherit the land. For yet a little while longer and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you will look carefully for where he was — but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in the abundance of peace." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37.. 9 – 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim].]

In every juncture of our lives as followers of the MIGHTY EL YEHOWAH, HE allows us opportunities to exercise and grow our faith. Remembering always that, "without faith it is impossible to please HIM, for he who comes to GOD must believe that HE is, and that HE is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek HIM." [Hebrews 11. 6] Even now, put your trust in the LORD JESUS, HE is the FAITHFUL ONE. Rejoice in the LORD you righteous ones for praise from the upright is beautiful.

Sha’️alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The 6th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Love. "You shall love the LORD your GOD will all your heart and all your soul and with all your might!" May Y’️SHUA bless you with HIS great love that all may see it and know the ONE from WHOM it came.
May ALMIGHTY GOD’️S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY.
. . . bright enough for all to see
. . . clear enough for all to follow
Our prayer, also, is that the flame of the LORD Y’️SHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others. Happy Chanukkah!
Wishing you Chanukkah Sameach (Joy)!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no distance between people of like precious faith.

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 4 - Conclusion)
The lights of Chanukkah was not an ancient celebration pointing to the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA; they were added after HIS death to point back to the ONE WHO alone is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HIS light lasts forever, whereas the lights of Chanukkah only shine for a few days each year.

In John 10:22-23, the ANOINTED ONE, Y’SHUA was at the Temple where the Feast of Dedication (Chanukkah) was being observed. The LORD JESUS had said of HIMSELF, "I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, he that follows ME shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the LIGHT OF LIFE." [John 8. 12] "As long as I AM in the world, I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD." [John 9. 5] "Are there not 12 hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the Light." [John 11. 9] "Yet a little while is the LIGHT with you, walk while you have the LIGHT, lest darkness come upon you." [John 12. 35]

The GLORY OF GOD shone out of the Temple — the GLORY OF GOD shone out of the FLESHLY TEMPLE OF KING MESSIAH YESHUA WHO is the "NER TORMID" the "EVERLASTING LIGHT." HIS light defeats darkness. So, even when we go to the grave, we will experience an even greater light because we will be with GOD. As it is written, "GOD is LIGHT, and in HIM is no darkness at all." [1 John 1. 5] We should not worship before the candles of the Chanukkah Menorah, but only before ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF, the ONE WHO was the LIGHT, then performed the miracle of the lights. "YAH is my LIGHT and my SALVATION" [Psalms/Tehillym 27. 1], and "I will also make you (Israel) for a light, an agent of good fortune, to the nations, that MY salvation may reach unto the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Jewish Festival of Chanukkah is celebrated on the eve of Kislev 24. The month of Kislev is the same as the month of December. The significance that Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH gave to Chanukkah, is perhaps the only reason the church chose December 25 for CHRISTmas Day. It is the Day to testify of the fact that in the birth of CHRIST JESUS, DEITY was dwelling in a HUMAN TEMPLE and shining out to give LIGHT in the midst of darkness. The birth of our BLESSED REDEEMER, THE LIVING WORD, is the dedication of the TRUE TEMPLE which is the body of the LORD JESUS. MESSIAH Y’SHUA told us that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth; which is true as the HOLY SPIRIT reveals MESSIAH as the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD through our lives.

Chanukkah tells us that, as believers, we are to be in the world, but not part of it. We can live as more than conquerors. We can be separated in holiness and dedication. We are to be lights to the world as a testimony to our MIRACLE-WORKING HOLY GOD. Amen

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Shabbat—Queen of the week and the Festival of Dedication! Sabbath of Miketz-“At the End” [Reading: Genesis 41:1-44:17; Numbers 7:30-41; Zechariah 2:14-4:7; John 10:22-28] We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen May the ALMIGHTY ONE shine out of each of our lives as we continue in HIS service!
The 4th Light is the Light of Mercy. Cruelty hardens the heart and destroys friendship. "Do justice, and love mercy, and walk humbly after your GOD." Truly, the LORD is exceptionally good, HIS mercy is eternal, HIS faithfulness and truth is for all generations.
The story of Chanukkah reminds us that we are not in charge of the world, the ALMIGHTY ONE is and has always been in control. If a rag-tag band of yeshiva boys can defeat the Greek-Syrian army, surely, in our sophisticated age, we need not despair. We need only recognize THE SOURCE of our help — Y’SHUA, the ROCK OF Ages our MIGHTY WARRIOR/REDEEMER.
Happy Chanukkah Everyone! Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness. Trusting that you are having an unforgettable and joyous Chanukkah - blessings to each of you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Heaven and nature sing — "Joy to the world, the LORD has come!"

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 3 of 4)
The 24th of Kislev was important to Israel years before the Maccabees memorialized it with Chanukkah. It was the day that "The FOUNDATION was laid for the LORD'S Temple." [Haggai/Chagai 2. 18 - 19] It was also a day when victory was promised to the Children of Israel, the ETERNAL ONE said — "Speak to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah: I am going to shake the heavens and the earth. And I will overturn the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathens. I will overturn chariots and their drivers. Horses and their riders shall fall, each by the sword of his brother — for I have chosen you and will bring you close to ME, says the LORD OF HOSTS." [Haggai (Chagai) 2. 21 - 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im] {Special Note: Zerubbabel is the center of the MESSIANIC Line and like a signet, seals both branches together. . . Obedience: present blessing; Promise: future blessing.}

This Day now celebrated as Chanukkah was "A Day of Faith." It was in the dead of winter, food was scarce [Haggai/Chagai 2. 16-17], it seemed as if the ALMIGHTY had forsaken HIS people. Yet, the LORD said, "from this Day, I will send you blessings." Haggai looked forward to the harvest (Succoth — Feast of Ingathering/Booths) which was nine months away. [Haggai/Chagai 2. 19] Was Chanukkah the timing when the people of GOD finally stirring themselves put their hands to the task of building GOD’S HOUSE; for GOD promised that henceforth the crops would be sure.

The MIGHTY LORD GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH delivered Israel to fulfill the promise through Haggai, HE delivered Israel in the days of the Maccabees, and HE is able to deliver Israel in this day. When things look the worst, when you see these things, know that the LORD YESHUA is near, even at the door. [Matthew 24. 33]

Josephus, the Jewish historian, was the first person to make lighting one candle for each of the 8 Days. . . calling it the Feast of LIGHT. The custom of lighting the candles originated sometime shortly after the earthly life of MESSIAH Y’SHUA, and continues to this very day.
. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The 3rd Light is the Light of Justice. No nation can endure who is unjust to the weak…"Justice, always justice shall you pursue!"
Chanukkah celebrates the survival of the Jewish people from destruction. Spiritual destruction, that is Unlike Haman and Hitler, Antiochus and the Syrian-Greeks had no interest in murdering the Jews physically – they wanted to murder the Jews spiritually by having them dispose of their Jewish way of life.
It is said that every Jewish holiday can be summed up as: “They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat!” Why did the miracle come about through oil? Why didn't GOD miraculously create a Menorah? Chanukkah is about remembering the hidden essence, the beauty based on what’s inside, not the external facade. Thus the miracle happened with the oil, not the Menorah itself. There was plenty of oil around, but they were missing Spiritually Pure Oil – the COMFORTER, the HOLY SPIRIT. Every moment of life contains these two aspects: physical and spiritual. Deciding which to emphasize at each moment is a lifelong, moment-by-moment challenge. Performing the miracle with oil shows us the emphasis on the spiritual side. Yes, the physical is important and necessary. But it is not “it” – GOD’S continual hand in our life is. GOD is waiting for us to take that first step before HE brings the miracle.
Happy Chanukkah! Our prayer for each of you is to have firsthand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, KING Y’SHUA WHO'S birth we celebrate this Season.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In MESSIAH Y’SHUA dwells the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY.

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 2 of 4)
Antiochus enacted a series of harsh decrees against the Jews. Jewish worship was forbidden; the SCROLLS OF THE LAW were confiscated and burned. Sabbath rest, circumcision and the dietary laws were prohibited under penalty of death. Even one of the respected elders of that generation, Rabbi Eliezer, a man of 90, was ordered by the servants of Antiochus to eat pork so that others would do the same. When he refused they suggested to him that he pick up the meat to his lips to appear to be eating. But Rabbi Eliezer refused to do even that and was put to death.

There were thousands of others who likewise sacrificed their lives. The following is a famous story told of Hannah and her seven son’s courage which happened at that time. They were arrested and compelled to eat swine’s flesh and thereby assent to the pagan sacrifice. One by one, when they refused to yield, they were tortured.

The first son had his extremities cut off, was scalped, had his tongue cut out, and still refused to eat pig. Finally he was boiled alive.

The second son had the skin stripped from his head, and still refused to eat pig. He exclaimed to Antiochus — "In-human fiend, you may discharge us from this present life, but the KING OF THE WORLD will raise us up, since it is for HIS Laws that we die, to live again forever."

Then, third son held out his arms for dismemberment saying — "It was the GOD OF HEAVEN that gave me these limbs; for the sake of HIS Laws I disdain them; from HIM I hope to receive them again."

When the third son died, the fourth son was tortured. He cried — "Ours is the better choice, to meet death at men's hands, yet relying on ELOHIYM'S promise that we shall be raised up by HIM; whereas for you there can be no resurrection, no new life."

As they tortured the fifth son, he said — "Do not think that our race has been deserted by YEHOWAH. Only wait, and you shall see in your turn how HIS mighty power will torment you and your race."

The sixth son died with the words — "We are suffering like this through our own fault, having sinned against ELOHEY, but do not think you yourself will go unpunished for attempting to make war on YEHOWAH."

Finally the seventh son died with the following words: "Our brothers already, after enduring their brief pain, now drink of ever-flowing life, by virtue of YEHOWAH'S covenant, while you, by the ALMIGHTY'S judgment, will have to pay the just penalty for your arrogance. I too, like my brothers, surrender my body and life for the Laws of my ancestors, calling upon ELOHEY to show HIS kindness to our nation, and that soon."
Ultimately, Hannah, their Mother was also put to death. All steadfastly refused deliverance in hope of the resurrection.

THE MACCABEES: In a little village 15 miles NW of Jerusalem, a priest named Mattathias and his five sons rebelled. Before his death, Mattityahu called his sons together and urged them to continue to fight in defense of GOD’S TORAH. He asked them to follow the counsel of their brother Shimon-the-Wise. In waging warfare, he said, their leader should be Yehuda-the-Strong. Yehuda was called "Maccabee (means: hammer)" — a word composed of the initial letters of the four Hebrew words "Mi Komocho bo'Eilim ha’Shem — Who is like unto YOU, O GOD."

Under the leadership of the oldest son, Judah Maccabees, they launched a guerrilla-style war against Antiochus Epiphanies and his army. Its purpose was to force the Syrians out of Israel and restore worship to YEHOWAH. Mattathias killed all the traitors and then killed the Syrian commissioners. After a 3-year struggle, the Jews drove the Syrian army out of the Promised Land. Their rallying cry from Matthias was "Let everyone who has a fervor for the Law take his stand on the Covenant and come out and follow me. Let us fight unto death in defense of our souls and our Temple!" [1 Maccabeus 2. 27 – 28] In other words, "return and obey the VOICE OF THE LORD your GOD, and do all HIS commandments. For the LORD your GOD is a COMPASSIONATE GOD; HE will not fail you nor will HE let you perish; HE will not forget the covenant which HE made on oath with your fathers." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 29 - 31 Tanakh, Torah]

Exactly 3 years to the very date after the Temple was desecrated, the 24th of Kislev, the triumphant Jews made their entrance into the TEMPLE OF GOD and re-dedicated it to the service of YEHOWAH ELOHEY.

In the LORD’S TEMPLE, the priests were to leave a light burning in obedience to the command of GOD MOST HIGH, "Command the children of Israel to bring you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually. In the Tabernacle of Meeting, outside the veil, which is before the ARK OF THE COVENANT, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before YEHOWAH. It shall be a decree forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel throughout the ages." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 20 - 21 Tanakh, Torah] When the Maccabees prepared to rekindle the Menorah to re-dedicate the Temple of ELOHEY which had been spoiled by the enemy, they discovered only one single jar of olive oil buried beneath the ruins with the seal of the High Priest still intact on its lid. This was tragic because the Jewish people could not carry out YEHOWAH'S command as there was only enough oil to burn one day.

For olive oil to be dedicated for use in the Lamp, it was to be made by the High Priest and sealed with his seal after being sanctified (set apart) for 7-days; then on the 8th day it was "Holy to the LORD." [Exodus/Shemot 29. 37; Leviticus/Vayikra 12. 3; Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 43. 26 – 27; 2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 29. 17] According to the Jewish tradition, "nes gadol haya shem (a Great Miracle happened there)" ...the small flask of oil lasted for a full eight days! {In Jerusalem, they say: "Nes Gadol Haya Po — a Great Miracle happened here (Jerusalem)."}
. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
How beautiful that the symbol we choose to commemorate the holiday of Chanukkah revolves around the miracle that GOD selected to perform for those who remained true to the teachings of Moses. The light of the menorah burning far longer than natural law would allow serves as an everlasting reminder that by filling every area of life with purpose and holiness we will never burnout.
The 2nd Light of Chanukah is the Light of TORAH. Israel's BOOK OF LAW: The Commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
Chanukkah reminds me that GOD is always there for us, and can help us overcome anything, just as HE helped the Maccabees so many years ago. If we allow HIM to fight our battles — whatever those battles may be — HIS WORD will indeed break our enemy’s sword. That powerful reminder of GOD’S love for us is one reason this Chanukkah/CHRISTmas Season is such a blessed time to remember just how much GOD so loved the world and gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON,
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share wonderful holy-days together with friends and family. Our prayer, also, is that the flame of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.
Have a blessed Chanukkah/CHRISTmas – both celebrate the most precious GIFT given, the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who has no fire in himself cannot warm others.

MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS
Although no one knows exactly the date of Y’SHUA'S birth, we can be certain that there must first be a conception before a birth. When ALMIGHTY INFINITE GOD promises that the "almah (engaged virgin)" shall conceive and bear a CHILD (in connection with the very first promise of a coming REDEEMER — the woman's SEED), HE is referring to a MIRACLE. It is not the birth of Messiah, GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, but HIS conception that is the miracle.

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and hers; HE shall crush your head, and you shall strike HIS heel." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 15 Tanakh, Torah] This text is the first of three direct references to the "miracle conception" of MESSIAH Y’SHUA in the TANAKH (OLD COVENANT) which states that the REDEEMER would be "her SEED." No woman has seed. . . it is only the man who has seed ("the seed of Abraham").

The next promise of the miracle conception tells of the ETERNAL ONE giving A SIGN (Hebrew: 'owth), a miracle or a proof that will come to Israel. This miracle is that the virgin, without the aid of a man, shall conceive and bear a CHILD. "Assuredly, my LORD will give you a sign of HIS OWN accord! Look, a virgin is with CHILD and about to give birth to a SON, and shall call HIS NAME IMMANU'EL." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 7. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Then we read of the miracle the LORD HIMSELF will perform: "For the LORD has created something new on earth — a woman shall encompass a MIGHTY MAN." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Hebrew word for compass is "savav" meaning "to go about, to encompass, to alter, change, surround, enclose." However, in this verse, the word is "encompass (Hebrew: tesovav)" which makes the tense future. Therefore, the Prophet Jeremiah was really saying that the LORD, in the future, will create a new thing in the land (earth) — never done before (and it is the LORD only WHO creates). Jeremiah was implying that the OMNIPOTENT MASTER CREATOR will cause a woman to alter the natural course of generation by "conceiving SEED" without the man and that she will bear a MAN (Hebrew: geber) a "MIGHTY MAN" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6 — "HIS NAME will be called THE MIGHTY GOD"], a WARRIOR, a VALIANT MAN WHO is the LORD & SAVIOR, Yeshua ha'Mashiach!

"Now the birth of Y’SHUA was as follows: After HIS mother Miryam (Mary) was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with CHILD of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Matthew 1. 18] Before this verse, it is recorded that the MAN begot. . . but now the wording changes; birth, beginning, to beget refers to the conception. Then, we read that OMNIPOTENT GOD created the SEED which was miraculously planted in her womb, "for that which is conceived in her is of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Matthew 1. 20] With GOD, the HIGH & LOFTY OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, all things are possible! How wonderful and profound are the treasures our wonderful LOVING LORD GOD has in store for those who serve HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May we be witnesses of the God'S care, love, and glorious presence through the days ahead. Enter each day with joy in our hearts and confidence that SOVEREIGN KING rules and reigns. And, because of HIS great mercy, HE will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed and depraved world around us — our IMMANU’EL, the ANOINTED ONE OF GOD is with us! My soul will continually bless the MOST HOLY LORD God for HE alone is worthy of all praise, reverence and exaltation.
Be blessed as you serve the KING of kings, both at Chanukkah and CHRISTmas! Unto us, a CHILD was born…such a wondrous CHRISTmas GIFT!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A thousand candles light the earth announcing MESSIAH the SAVIOR’S birth. A thousand universes sing, the coming of our LORD & KING!

Y’SHUA CAME DOWN
"No one has ascended to heaven but HE WHO came down from heaven, that is, the SON OF MAN WHO is in heaven." [John 3. 13]

Even this secular, materialistic world so far, makes much of the CHRIST CHILD at Christmas time; that BABE WHO was born in a stable and laid in a manger. Yet very few ever recognize that HE had been eternally one (Hebrew: echad) with the FATHER in heaven before HE chose to come down. And, exceedingly less ever stop to learn the reason HE chose to come down. The reasons are replete in HOLY SCRIPTURE as the PROMISED ANOINTED ONE wanted us to know.

The NEW COVENANT gives the first reference to HIS coming, Y’SHUA HIMSELF speaks the most significant detailed motivations for HIS coming: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." [Matthew 5. 17 - 18] YESHUA, the SOVEREIGN KING was totally committed to HIS FATHER’S will that is recorded in the WRITTEN WORD. This was the first thing HE came to confirm and fulfill.

"The SON OF MAN has come to seek and to save that which was lost." [Luke 19. 10] "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." [Luke 5. 32] "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." [Matthew 10. 34] "For I have come down from heaven, not to do MY OWN will, but the will of HIM WHO sent ME. This is the will of the FATHER WHO sent ME, that of all HE has given ME I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of HIM WHO sent ME, that everyone who sees the SON and believes in HIM may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." [John 6. 38 - 40]

"HE WHO descended is also the ONE WHO ascended far above all the heavens, that HE might fill all things." [Ephesians 4. 10] "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am the GOOD SHEPHERD. The GOOD SHEPHERD gives HIS life for the sheep." [John 10. 10 - 11]

MESSIAH then notably expressed the reason for HIS coming — for it was in regards to HIS second coming: "Behold! I am coming quickly, and MY reward is with ME, to give to every one according to his work. I am the ALPHA and the OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END, the FIRST and the LAST." Blessed are those who do HIS commandments, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the City." [Revelation 22. 13 - 14]

So when asked — "WHO has ascended into heaven and come down? WHO has gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand? WHO has bound the waters in HIS garment? WHO has established all the ends of the earth? What is HIS NAME or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs/Mishle 30. 4]; you can boast in giving them the answer — HE is the MAJESTIC & INEXPLICABLE CREATOR, the BABE of Bethlehem, the GLORIOUS KING of the whole world.

"HE WHO testifies to these things says — Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS! The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you all." [Revelation 22. 20 - 21] Amen & Amen

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Be blessed as we bid farewell to Shabbat! May the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins and grant us a good week as we continue in HIS service!!
May the REDEEMER of all ages make you holy and may you grow in HIS wisdom and favor. Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness.
Have a blessed and joyous CHRIST-filled Chanukkah & CHRISTmas! — Oh come, let us adore HIM, CHRIST the LORD!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
You can choose to drown in the darkness of tomorrow or rejoice in the light of today.

WE KNOW HIM IF
"Now by this we know that we know HIM, if we keep HIS commandments." [1 John 2. 3]

The LORD Y’SHUA asked, "why do you call ME 'Lord, Lord' — and not do the things which I say?" [Luke 6. 46] This is a distressing question and a familiar criticism of those who loathe CHRISTian teachings and instructions. It is heartbreaking when the ungodly are more aware of the expected behavior of GOD’S people than the redeemed. We can well see why our actions nullify our testimony. "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know GOD, but in works they deny HIM, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work." [Titus 1. 15 - 16]

John and other writers emphasize the results of willing obedience, that the world may know we belong to the LORD GOD MOST HOLY. "Whoever says, "I know HIM!" and does not keep HIS commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps HIS WORD, truly the love of GOD is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in HIM. He who says he abides in HIM ought himself also to walk just as HE walked." [1 John 2. 4 - 6]

Paul, an apostle of the LORD Y’SHUA wrote, "you who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now HE has reconciled — if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the Gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven." [Colossians 1. 21 & 23] James cautions us to "be doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" [James 1. 22]; to concur another of Paul’s teachings, "for not the hearers of the Law are just in the sight of GOD, but the doers of the Law will be justified." [Romans 2. 13]

Daily, we should give special attention to willingly and deliberately walk as children of light, following the pattern the LORD JESUS lived:
To walk in the light guarantees fellowship: "If we walk in the light as HE is in the light, we have fellowship with one another." [1 John 12. 7]

Constant and willing obedience produces an effective prayer life: "Whatever we ask we receive from HIM, because we keep HIS commandments and do those things that are pleasing in HIS sight. And this is HIS commandment: That we should believe on the NAME of HIS SON Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH and love one another." [1 John 3. 22 - 23]

A lifestyle of obedience brings an awareness of the HOLY SPIRIT’S indwelling: "Whoever keeps HIS commandments abides in HIM, and HE in them. And by this we know that HE abides in us, by the SPIRIT WHOM HE has given us." [1 John 3. 24]

Loving GOD produces compliance, which in turn brings joy in that obedience: "For this is the love of GOD, that we keep HIS commandments. And HIS commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of GOD overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith." [1 John 5. 3 - 4]

Our actions show the world WHOM we serve: "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLY SPIRIT; and these THREE are ONE." [1 John 5. 7] Our righteous deeds prove to the world to WHOM we serve: "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." [Matthew 7. 16 - 20]

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of GOD and CHRIST JESUS that you may be partakers of HIS divine nature, and declare — by your fruit — HIS grace and glory to this lost world.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Thank YOU LORD GOD for filling the heart with marvelous joy and peace, for giving us strength of faith in YOU for even greater tasks. Our confidence rests solely in YOU, our GREAT, ETERNAL, WONDERFUL LORD. YOURS, O LORD, is the greatness and the power, the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is YOURS; YOURS is the Kingdom, O LORD, and YOU are exalted above all. YOU are the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU. Cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — purify our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU. Amen
Enjoy the coming up-week celebrating the wondrous Festival of Lights! –Happy Chanukkah

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One good deed has many claimants.

JUSTIFIED BY FAITH
"Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him: But the just shall live by his faith." [Habakkuk 2. 4 NKJV] "Lo, there is a reward for the upright — the life breath within him — for the righteous man is rewarded with life for his fidelity." [Habakkuk 2. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The just shall live by faith" is an absolutely excellent doctrine. The Hebrew word "tsaddiyq" means just, justified, right, righteous, correct, lawful. The HOLY ONE says that a person is enabled to live righteously by his faith.

"For in it the righteousness of GOD is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith." [Romans 1. 17] The words "from-faith-to-faith" means "from the beginning of faith to the end of faith" and the context verifies that the foundational item of faith is faith in "HIS eternal power and GODhead" which "from the creation of the world HIS invisible attributes are clearly seen." [Romans 1. 20]

"Now the just shall live by faith; but IF ANYONE DRAWS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM." [Hebrews 10. 38] The writer of Hebrews, most probably the Apostle Paul, records that the fundamental ingredient of faith is a uniquely specific creation, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the WORD OF GOD, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear visibly." [Hebrews 11. 3]

"But that no one is justified by the Law in the sight of GOD is evident, for the just shall live by faith." [Galatians 3. 11] Paul's long explanation to the Galatian legalists begins, "knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but by faith in JESUS the CHRIST, even we have believed in CHRIST JESUS, that we might be justified by faith in HIM and not by the works of the Law; for by the works of the Law no flesh shall be justified." [Galatians 2. 16] Thus, justifying, saving, living faith begins and centers in Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, first as CREATOR of all things, then as the SAVIOR & REDEEMER WHO "has redeemed us from the curse of the Law having become a curse for us." [Galatians 3. 13] In HIS precious hands we can confidently entrust our spirit, soul, and body both now and forevermore.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We share the blessed hope in MESSIAH that every day will be as sweet as Shabbat...a rest of love freely given in truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD Y’SHUA!
For each of you, our beloved friends, our adored extended family, we are praying that the ALMIGHTY ONE keeps you in HIS sustaining power, mercy, grace, peace and that you prosper in HIS purpose for your lives.
Prepare to enjoy a blessed and memorable Chanukkah!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Egotism is nothing more then the antiseptic that dulls the pain of stupidity.

NEITHER WINE OR STRONG DRINK
"The commands of Jonadab the son of Rechab have been fulfilled: he charged his children not to drink wine, and to this day they have not drunk, in obedience to the charge of their ancestor. But although I have spoken to you persistently, you did not listen or obey ME." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 35. 14 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The Rechabites were greatly blessed because they fully obeyed the voice of their father, Jonadab: "Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites — Thus says the LORD OF HOSTS, the GOD OF ISRAEL: 'Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father and kept all his commandments and done according to all that he enjoined upon you — therefore thus says the LORD OF HOSTS, the GOD OF ISRAEL — "there shall never cease to be a man of the line of Jonadab son of Rechab standing before ME." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 35. 18 - 19 Tanakh, Nevi’im] Unfortunately this is not the actions of the nation Israel and the LORD GOD OF HOSTS declared that HE would "bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the disaster that I have pronounced against them; for I have spoken to them but they would not hear; I called to them but they would not respond." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 35. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The wisdom of the Proverbs records — "Wine is not for kings, O Lemuel; it is not for kings to drink, nor any strong drink for princes, lest they drink and forget the law, and pervert the justice of all the afflicted." And, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise." [Proverbs (Mishle) 31. 4 – 5; 20. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The example of John the Baptizer is also worth considering, as the angel, Gabriel announced to Zacharias that he and his wife, Elizabeth would have a son and "many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the LORD, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, even from his mother's womb." [Luke 1. 14 - 16] This shows that there is a connection between greatness and abstaining from wine and strong drink. The LORD Y’SHUA called John the greatest man who had ever lived — that is, greater than even Abraham, Moses, or Daniel! [see Matthew 11. 11]

John was "filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, even from his mother's womb" and he is the only man of whom that was ever said. Again, there is definitely a connection, for no one could simultaneously drink wine or strong drink and also be filled with the SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD. The Apostle Paul warned concerning this conflict when he said — "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the SPIRIT." [Ephesians 5. 18] Here, being continually filled is implied.

Drinking alcoholic in moderation may be permissible, however that does not make it right. Although Paul did urge Timothy to "no longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities" [1 Timothy 5. 23], he went on to write, "all things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." [1 Corinthians 6. 12]

In both of John’s circumstances and the Rechabites being great in GOD’S sight and being filled with the HOLY SPIRIT were closely associated with abstinence from alcohol. The choice is yours to personally consider.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles! YOU
O FATHER in Heaven, YOU are our GUIDE even unto death. Grant us, I pray grace to follow YOU wherever YOU go. In little daily duties to which YOU call us, bow down our wills to simple obedience, patience under pain or frustration, strict truthfulness of word and manner, humility, kindness; in great acts of duty or perfection, if YOU should call us to them, uplift us to self-sacrifice, heroic courage, laying down our life for YOUR Truth’s sake, or for a brother. Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.

SAVED FROM FIRE
"From the depths of Sheol the mightiest of warriors speak to him and his allies; the uncircumcised, the slain by the sword, have gone down and lie there — they made a bed for her among the slain, with all her masses; their graves are round about her. They are all uncircumcised, slain by the sword. Though their terror was once spread over the land of the living, they bear their shame with those who have gone into the Pit; they are placed among the slain." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 32. 21, 25 Tanakh, Nevi’️im]

It is a tragic mistake to ignore the subject of Hell, Sheol, the Pit, Hades — all the names of the literal place for punishment of the wicked. Isaiah gives us a striking explicit picture of those in earlier ages who are now in Hades, awaiting the final judgment. Religion, in itself with its complex concepts and rituals, will not keep one from hell where "the corpses of the men who rebelled against ME: Their worms shall not die, nor their fire be quenched; they shall be a horror to all flesh." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 24 Tanakh, Nevi’️im; also see Mark 9. 43 - 48]

Having a religion or form of righteousness, will never save a person. Paul spoke of those who have a form of religion that does not save: "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people TURN AWAY! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was." [2 Timothy 3. 1 - 9]

"Although they knew God, they did not glorify HIM as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible GoD into an image made like corruptible man…and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of GOD for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the CREATOR." [Romans 1. 21 - 25]

We are admonished, "If you refrained from rescuing those taken off to death, those condemned to slaughter — if you say — We knew nothing of it — surely HE WHO fathoms hearts will discern the truth, HE WHO watches over your life will know it, and HE will pay each man as he deserves." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 11 – 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Also, "keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh." [Jude 21 - 23]

The LorD Y’️SHUA warned "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. BEWARE of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits." [Matthew 7. 13 - 15] Only those who worship the CREATOR, the TRUE & LIVING GOD, who receive the LORD MessiaH Y’️SHUA as their personal SavioR from sin, will be saved. Believe and accept HIS free gift of salvation with seeing hearts, hearing souls, and obedient lives.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May our bearing toward our neighbors, our faithfulness in every sphere of duty, our compassion for the suffering and our patience under trial show that HE WHOSE Law we obey is indeed the MIGHTY GOD of all goodness, the FATHER of all men, that to serve HIM is perfect freedom and to worship HIM the soul's purest happiness.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Woe! to me if I shirk my responsibility to my CREATOR.

ONE GOD
"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our GOD, the LORD is ONE." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 4 Tanakh, Torah]

To my Jewish people, this is known as the Shema and we say it like this: "Sh'ma Yisroel Adonai Elohenu Adonai Echad!" [Deuteronomy/Devarim 6. 4] This great verse has been recited countless times by Israelites, evening and morning, down through the centuries, setting forth their declaration of faith in their distinctive belief in one great CREATOR GOD. This assertion is also setting forth the TRIUNE GOD. The name LORD is Yehowah, the SELF-EXISTING ONE WHO reveals HIMSELF. GOD is ELOHIYM (a plural word), the ALL-POWERFUL CREATOR/RULER proclaiming the declaration of who GOD is. It speaks of a unified oneness rather than an absolute oneness.

The key word "one (Hebrew: echad — a compound unity, to unify, to collect one's thoughts, united)" is often used to denote unity in diversity. When the SOVEREIGN CREATOR made Adam and Eve, HE stated that they shall be echad — one flesh [Genesis/Bereshith 2. 24] a unity composed of two persons.

The TRI-UNITY of GOD is implied in Aaron's priestly benediction given to Moses by the MOST HIGH: "Yehowah (the FATHER) bless you and protect you. YEhowah (the SON) deal kindly and make HiS face to shine upon you and be gracious to you! YEhowah (the HOLY SPIRIT) lift up HiS countenance and bestow HiS favor upon you and grant you friendship and peace." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 6. 24 - 26 Tanakh, Torah]

The ZOHAR — one of the Jews' most sacred books, commenting on the Shema states: "Why is there need of mentioning the name of the HOLY ONE three times in this verse? The first name, YEHOWAH is the FATHER. The second is the STEM OF JESSE, the MESSIAH WHO is to come from the family of David. The third refers to the ONE WHO is in us, defining the HOLY SPIRIT WHO leads and empowers us; and these THREE ARE ONE." The Hebrew word here is Shali'YAH meaning three-fold, triple, triangle — the plural of majesty. This teaching of the Zohar is based on the HOLY WORD OF GOD through Jeremiah, where in giving the promise of Israel's safety through the MESSIAH, it is added, "And this is the NAME by which HE shall be called — YEhowah TSIDQENUW (The LORD our RIGHTEOUSNESS / The LORD is our VINDICATOR)." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In the NEW COVENANT, the authentic "Lord's Prayer" — MESSIAH Y’️SHUA prayed, "HOLY FATHER, keep through YOUR NAME those whom YOU have given ME, that they may be one as WE are ONE. And the glory which YOU gave ME, I have given them, that they may be one just as WE are ONE." [John 17. 11, 22]

The three-fold constitution of man (body—soul—spirit) proclaims the TRI-PERSONAL GOD WHO created him in HIS own image. The Shema, expressing the TRI-UNITY OF THE GOD-HEAD, precedes the command calling upon man's threefold nature: Spirit (heart), soul (essence), and might (body) to love his triune MAJESTIC CREATOR GOD! The ETERNAL OMNIPRESENT FATHER, CREATOR, and SUSTAINER of all things is our unified SELF-REVEALING LORD Y’️SHUA ha'MASHIACH.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Watch and pray, the LORD Messiah Y’️SHUA is coming soon to set up HIS Kingdom. The descendants of HIS servants shall inherit it, and those who love HIS NAME shall dwell in it.
GOD, do not be silent; do not be distant; do not be quiet, O GOD! For YOUR enemies rage, those who hate YOU exalt themselves. They plot craftily against YOUR people, take counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say — Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel's name will be mentioned no more. — Yet we are confident that, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps! Truly, there is none like YOU, O LORD GOD. YOU are glorious in holiness, revered in worship, wondrous in all YOUR works! There is none like YOU, infinite is YOUR power, so is YOUR love.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A miracle cannot prove what is impossible; it is helpful only as confirmation of what is possible with CREATOR GOD.

PATHS OF THE LORD
"All the LORD'S paths are mercy, steadfast love and truth for those who keep the decrees of HIS Covenant and HIS Testimonies." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the great promises in HOLY SCRIPTURE is that ALMIGHTY GOD will lead those who obediently follow HIS will and honour HIS BLESSED WORD. "In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your paths and make them smooth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These paths have experienced the mercy of our LOVING CREATOR and confirm HIS truth, if we obey HIS WORD — that is, if we keep HIS Covenant of Grace and believe the promise of HIS Testimonies. They are paths leading to life eternal. "YOU will teach me the path of life. In YOUR presence is perfect joy; delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The paths which the ALL-WISE MASTER directs us to may seem unusual, dark, discouraging or dangerous, but we have HIS promises that they lead to joy and peace and HIS great light. "The path of the righteous is like the radiant sunlight, ever brightening until noon." [Proverbs (Mishle) 4. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The pathway leads to true wisdom of the HOLY ONE which offers "pleasant ways, and all her paths, peaceful." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE guides me in the paths of righteousness as befits HIS NAME." [Psalms (Tehillym) 23. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The paths may be by still waters or through valleys of deepest darkness, but GOD'S goodness and mercy follows us in these paths, and finally leads us Home to be forever with the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

When troubles come our way, if we have difficulty discerning the right path to follow, still OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD is directing our every step, we can find guidance in HIS PRECIOUS HOLY WORD, for "YOUR WORD is a LAMP to my feet, a LIGHT for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 115 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In bold confidence and assurance, we are always able to pray, "Lead me in the path of YOUR commandments; for that is my concern and my delight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 35 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Show me YOUR way, O LORD, and lead me on a path, because of my watchful foes." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All who seek HIM early and love HIS Eternal Law are definitely rich, extremely blessed, and will have a fullness of indescribable joy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Sabbath! I will worship and praise YOU, my GOD, O KING; and I will bless YOUR NAME forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and HIS greatness is unsearchable.
We pray that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life and open our mouth to declare HIS praises continually. May the ALL-PRESENT ONE fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE that HE may be glorified; and may some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout your week days.
Tov Shavua — have a good week!â€

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It is we who are lost when we don't help others find their way.

PLEASING GOD
"I know, GOD, that YOU search the heart and have pleasure in uprightness." [1 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Alef) 29. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word ratsah means pleasing, acceptable, satisfied, favorable, delight, joy. The WORD OF GOD, the ALMIGHTY CREATOR, and HIS HOLY NAME are magnified above all things, "YOU have exalted YOUR NAME, YOUR WORD, above all." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The OMNIPOTENT LORD is well pleased for HIS righteousness sake; "HE will magnify HIS TEACHINGS (HIS WRITTEN WORD) and make it honorable." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It was for a blessing to HIS creation and to the children of Israel that the Law was given. "It pleased the LORD to bless Israel." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 24. 1 Tanakh, Torah] And, "it pleased the LORD to undertake and make you HIS people" [1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 12. 22] for HIS pleasure and for the sake of HIS GREAT NAME. Therefore, we have the confident assurance that our LOVING GOD will never leave, forsake, or let go of HIS OWN. All who obey HIS TEACHINGS can be exceedingly glad and shout for joy and say continually, "Extolled be the LORD, WHO has pleasure in the well-being of HIS servant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear HIM, in those who depend on HIS mercy." [Psalms (Tehillym) 147. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For the LORD takes pleasure in HIS people; HE adorns the lowly with the glory of salvation." [Psalms (Tehillym) 149. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The ALMIGHTY ONE "opens their ear to instruction, and commands that they turn from iniquity. IF they obey and serve HIM, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures." [Job (Iyob) 36. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Therefore, make it your personal goal "to be well pleasing to HIM (MESSIAH Y’SHUA). For we must all appear before the "JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST" — that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." [2 Corinthians 5. 9 - 10] "For this reason we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of HIS will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing HIM, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of GOD; strengthened with all might, according to HIS glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the FATHER WHO has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light." [Colossians 1. 9 - 12]

"Now may the GOD OF PEACE WHO brought up our LORD JESUS from the dead, that GREAT SHEPHERD of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do HIS will, working in you what is well pleasing in HIS sight, through MESSIAH Y’SHUA, to WHOM be glory forever and ever. Amen" [Hebrews 13. 20 - 21]

Since it is our HEAVENLY FATHER'S "good pleasure to give you the Kingdom" [Luke 12. 32], we will receive whatever we ask from HIM "because we keep HIS commandments and do those things that are pleasing in HIS sight. And this is HIS commandment: That we should believe on the NAME OF HIS SON JESUS THE CHRIST and LOVE one another." [1 John 3. 22] Then, you will be "a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to GOD." [Philippians 4. 18] And that is a wonderfully achievable possibility!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!!
Through the common days flow the refreshing waters of GOD'S loving-kindness, yet we forget THE SOURCE. May this hour awaken within us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us that we may face our daily duty with a firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know that in loving and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU. O Come! O Come IMMANU’EL!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Reality is only a memory ahead of its time.

UNSTABLE FOUNDATIONS
"For the LORD will exonerate HIS people, have compassion on and take revenge for HIS servants, when HE sees that their power is gone, and neither bond nor free is left." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 36 Tanakh, Torah]

"The Law is powerless, decisions fail and justice never emerges; for wicked villains surround the righteous men — therefore perverse, deformed judgment proceeds." [Habakkuk 1. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Today, at this very moment in time, these portions of HOLY SCRIPTURE are happening now and being fulfilled daily.

Most people, Jew and Gentile, are blinded walking about in intense darkness. "They do not know the thoughts or designs of the LORD, they do not discern or understand HIS counsel or intent; HE has gathered them like cut grain to the threshing floor." [Micah (Michah) 4. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Evil thinking and wicked life-styles thrive and flourish when those in authority are making decisions and passing laws to our devastation bringing total destruction. "All the foundations of the earth are unstable" [Psalms/Tehillym 82. 5] for the HOLY ETERNAL ONE will shake the foundations of the earth in the wrath of HIS judgment. The Hebrew word for foundation is "mowcad" portrayed as the footing, base, groundwork or cornerstone.

"When the power of the holy people has come to an end, then all these things shall be fulfilled." [Daniel (Danyel) 12. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The Jewish teachers of the Law say it this way — "When the power of the holy people is completely shattered...then MESSIAH will come." This also is truth, "I will shake the heavens, and the earth will leap out of its place, at the fury of the LORD OF HOSTS on the day of HIS fierce burning wrath." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 13. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Because of the extreme wickedness of all the nations, "the sun and the moon are darkened, and stars withdraw their brightness. The LORD will roar from Zion and shout aloud from Jerusalem, so that heaven and earth tremble. But the LORD will be a SHELTER to HIS people, a REFUGE to the children of Israel." [Joel (Yoel) 3. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Furthermore, the POSSESSOR OF HEAVEN & EARTH says — "In just a little while longer I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and dry land; I will shake all the nations. And the PRECIOUS DESIRE of all nations shall come, and I will fill this Temple with glory, said the LORD OF HOSTS." [Haggai (Chagai) 2. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"See that you do not refuse HIM WHO speaks, for if they did not escape who refused HIM WHO spoke on earth. Much more shall we not escape if we turn away from HIM WHO speaks from heaven, WHOSE VOICE then shook the earth; but now HE has promised, saying — Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." [Hebrews 12. 25 - 26]

The LORD GOD only requires you to ASK (Ask-Seek-Knock) HIM into your life and seek the REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, "So I say to you, Ask! and it will be given to you; Seek! and you will find; Knock! and it will be opened to you." [Luke 11. 9] Then, HE will exalt and glorify you. "Seek the LORD while HE can be found, call to HIM while HE is near. Let the wicked give up his ways, the sinful man his plans; let them turn back to the LORD, and HE will have mercy and pardon him; for our GOD freely forgives." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 55. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Wonderful! Wonderful! is our LOVING, FAITHFUL, REDEEMING LORD GOD & SAVIOR!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We bid farewell to Sabbath by singing the song in the Havdallah ceremony that exclaims, “the Prophet Elijah, the Tishbite from Gilead, may he come to us soon with the SON OF DAVID, the MESSIAH” — the GREATER ONE that we fix our gaze on. We also pray that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life and open our mouth to declare HIS praises continually.
May the ALL-PRESENT ONE fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE that HE may be glorified; and may some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout your week days. “Tov Shavua — have a good week!”
Grace be with you all, Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Never mind the remorse, don't commit the sin!

BOTTLED TEARS
"YOU (LORD GOD) keep count of my wanderings; put my tears into YOUR bottle; into YOUR record book." [Psalms (Tehillym) 56. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew prophets mention professional mourners, who were called in at the time of sorrow to express mourning for the dead. "Send for the skilled women, let them come. Let them quickly start a wailing for us that our eyes may run with tears, our eyelids flow with water." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 17 - 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Tears flow freely and openly in the Oriental custom, a highly emotional peoples - at such times they are considered to be a definite means of bringing comfort to sorrowing hearts. [John 11. 33] It was not uncommon to see the tears being gathered and collected into bottles and kept as special remembrances.

The weeping woman, a sinner, who washed the feet of MESSIAH Y’SHUA with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head, was none other than Miryam (Mary) the sister of Martha and Lazarus. The tears she wept and the precious bottled tears were used to wash the feet of her LORD, then she proceeded to kiss and anoint them with the fragrant oil from the alabaster flask. [Luke 7. 37 - 50] Though her sins were many, they were forgiven, for she loved much. Noticeably, the more one is forgiven, the more they are able to love!

Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, desired that his people would have a change of heart so they too could be forgiven, "Oh my suffering, my suffering! How I am pained and writhe! Oh, the walls of my heart! My heart moans within me, I cannot be silent; for disaster overtakes disaster." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 4. 19-20 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "That is why I say — Let me be, I will weep bitterly; do not labor to comfort me because of the ruin of my poor people." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 22. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Oh, that my head were water, my eyes a fountain of tears! Then would I weep day and night for the slain of my poor people!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Draw near to GOD and HE will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD, and HE will lift you up." [James 4. 8 - 10] The HOLY CREATOR GOD OF ISRAEL stores our tears and they are precious to HIM as we "delight to do HIS will and keep HIS Law in our heart." [Psalms/Tehillym 40. 8] Great and wondrous promises belong to those who seek for the TRUE & LIVING GOD in sincerity; and trust and obey.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May your heart be filled with intuition and your words be filled with insight; songs of praise ever be upon your tongue and your vision be on a straight path before you. May your eyes shine with the light of holy words and your face reflect the brightness of the heavens; and, your lips ever speak wisdom and your fulfillment be in righteousness even as you ever yearn to hear the words of the HOLY ONE OF OLD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The secret of success is simply this: In all things, love GOD, follow and obey HIM. Success is not determined by the outcome of your actions, but by whether you do what GOD tells you to do; the outcome lies in GOD’S domain alone.

NOT ASHAMED
"For the SCRIPTURE says, "Whoever believes on HIM will not be put to shame...For "whoever calls on the NAME of the LORD shall be saved." [Romans 10. 11, 13]

The Apostle Paul was quoting an OLD COVENANT SCRIPTURE here, with a slight modification. Isaiah actually reads: "Behold, I lay in Zion a STONE for a FOUNDATION, a TRIED STONE, a PRECIOUS CORNERSTONE, a SURE FOUNDATION; he who believes (implicitly trusts) will not act hastily." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 28. 16] Thus, Paul changed the Hebrew word chuwsh meaning "make haste" (to hurry; to hurry; figuratively-to be eager with excitement or enjoyment); to the Greek word kataischuno for "be ashamed" (to shame down, disgrace, put to the blush, confound, dishonor). Paul’s change of terms actually makes this verse even more involved because he combines the quote with another text in Isaiah: "HE will be as a sanctuary, but a STONE of stumbling and a ROCK of offense." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 8. 14]

Peter also makes a combination of verses of SCRIPTURE using Isaiah [28. 16] with Psalms [118. 22] — "Behold! I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on HIM will by no means be put to shame." And, "The STONE which the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE. — Therefore, to you who believe, HE is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "the STONE which the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE — and — A STONE of stumbling and a ROCK of offense." [1 Peter 2. 6 - 8]

Thus, the Greek translation "make haste" which is the correct meaning of the Hebrew word, is confirmed by all its other uses in the OLD COVENANT. More important, these passages illustrate the truth that the HOLY SPIRIT, the INGENUOUS AUTHOR of GOD’S WRITTEN WORD, has the right and authority to translate HIS writings as HE wills and wishes, thus making "make haste" to mean "be ashamed" when and where needed.

When we believe on MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the SAVIOR, we never need to flee in haste from HIS enemies or ours, for we can never be put to shame when anchored on THE ONE WHO is the SURE FOUNDATION.

May we so live that even if we suffer as a follower of CHRIST JESUS, we will never be ashamed but always be eagerly excited as we wait for the MASTER to return; for we are saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation and will never be ashamed or disgraced forever and ever, and be completely satisfied. Our LOVING REDEEMER is so worth waiting for!

Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
