A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"If you want to meet a princess, make yourself into a prince." [Rabbi Dov Heller, Aish’la] That pretty much encapsulates (sums up) everything about finding a wife, and is entirely practical as well as devout.

OUR AMAZING HEAVENLY FATHER
"For in HIM (our FATHER in Heaven) we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said — For we are also HIS offspring." [Acts 17. 28]

In spite of the frequently used phrase, "the fatherhood of GOD and the brotherhood of man"  — there continues to be an invidious (odious, unpleasant, horrible) and treacherous hostility between and inside most nations around the world; thus a brotherhood of man is merely ludicrous (ridiculous, unbelievable, laughable) words.

To the contrary, however, GOD is truly the FATHER of all men, for HE is the INVINCIBLE CREATOR.  "Have we not all one FATHER?  Did not one GOD created us?" [Malachi (Malakhi) 2. 10 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  This metaphorical question was declared by Israel in the last book of the OLD COVENANT.  GOD the LORD let it be known that it was HE "WHO created the heavens and stretched them out, WHO spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, WHO gives breath to the people upon it, and life to those who walk thereon." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 5 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

In the NEW COVENANT, the Apostle Paul affirmed this same glorious true reality to the pagan Gentiles.  "HE (the MASTER ARCHITECT) has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the LORD, in the hope that they might grope for HIM and find HIM, though HE is not far from each one of us; for in HIM we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said — For we are also HIS offspring...we are the offspring of GOD." [Acts 17. 26 - 29]

However, the virulent (harsh, unpleasant, seriously severe) truth is that most people have actually become "the sons of the wicked one (the Devil)" [Matthew 13. 38], as they prefer sin over salvation.  Intricately designed as we are, one can only become "sons of GOD" — children of the HEAVENLY FATHER by being born anew, through confident faith in MESSIAH YESHUA.  "But as many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD." [John 1. 12 - 13]

Believers can now rejoice greatly in the wonderful truth that we have the same AMAZING HEAVENLY FATHER.  We have become "a new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of HIM WHO created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew (religions division), circumcised nor uncircumcised (cultural division), barbarian, Scythian (social, economic division), slave nor free (human division), but CHRIST is all and in all." [Colossians 3. 10 - 11]

Our prayer for those who now are or someday will be fathers, that the TRUE & LIVING GOD be your SOURCE & GUIDE in all principles: values, morals, ethics, and doctrine; then to teach your children about THE INCREDIBLE HEAVENLY FATHER and be genuine models of HIM to them.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
As we bid farewell to Sabbath at the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them a Good Week.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!

Five Crucial things children need from their Father, as nothing can replace his love:

#1  A role model.  Make sure your life embodies the traits and ideals that you want your children to reflect.

#2  A listening ear.  The Torah tells us "Do not harden your heart or close your hand." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 15:7]

Being open to others emotionally and listening to them is harder and often more important than giving anything else because it requires us to give of our own heart.

#3  A teacher.  There is no limit for a child whose father teaches him and believes in him every step of the way.

#4  A comforter.  Fathers can give their children hope and courage and strength.  Sometimes it only takes those seven comforting, yet re-assuring words…"I care and am proud of you!"

#5  A source of wisdom.  Children need help choosing the right friends, the right classes, the right spouse; but teaching a child the whole WORD OF GOD can help pave the way by bringing eternal wisdom and ideas into the picture.  Learning together creates a strong, deep bond between fathers and children as they share and explore questions and answers about life.
I want to take a moment to thank the ALMIGHTY ONE for giving me a husband who not only loved me and his HEAVENLY FATHER, but who devoted every moment of his life to GOD, his family, friends, neighbor’s and his people.  He not only impacted my life in immeasurable ways. but he profoundly touched the lives of countless individuals.  The driving force in his life is a constant and abiding love for the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, and for every person he meets.  It was precisely this love that came to define the heritage he models.  Del is a man of great faith.  Each morning I pray that I will remember one of his greatest lessons for me and so many others — to always depend on GOD to lead and guide us, and give us the wisdom needed to do what’s right in HIS eyes as we continue the incredible ministry of telling the world about the faithfulness, forgiveness, and love of the MASTER.

May Del’s precious soul be bound for eternal life and may his legacy and good deeds be for a blessing to us all. "Thank you, my Beloved!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Spend your time counting your blessings, not airing your complaints.

LIKE THE RAIN
"For as the rain or snow drops from heaven and returns not there, but soaks the earth and makes it bring forth vegetation, yielding seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is the WORD that issues from MY mouth: It does not come back to ME unfulfilled, but performs what I purpose, achieves what I sent it to do." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 55. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

What a beautiful, confident expectation in the natural and in the spiritual realm.  Rain and snow falls from the heavens and eventually return there; then later falls again as rain and snow on the thirsty land.  But they do not return until they first have accomplished their work of watering the earth, providing and renewing the world's water and food supplies to maintain its life.  "HE forms the droplets of water, which cluster into rain, from HIS mist.  The skies rain; they pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on all mankind." [Job (Iywb) 36. 27 - 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To the same extent, GOD'S HOLY WORD goes forth from heaven through HIS revealed SCRIPTURES and their distribution and proclamation by HIS disciples.  It does not return empty or void, for it accomplishes CREATOR GOD'S divine work on earth; for "YOUR WORD stands firm in heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Y’SHUA‘S OWN words were, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS will by no means pass away." [Matthew 24. 35]

The fruitful scattering of the SEED OF LIFE, GOD'S WRITTEN WORD is confirmed in many other TEXTS, "Send your BREAD forth upon the waters; for after many days you will find it...Sow your SEED in the morning, and don't hold back your hand in the evening, since you don't know which is going to succeed, the one or the other, or if both are equally good." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 11. 1, 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  It is the LORD GOD WHO will bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

One person plants, another waters, "but neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but GOD WHO gives the increase." [1 Corinthians 3. 6 - 7]  "I will make them and the places all around MY hill a blessing; and I will send down the rain in its season; rains that bring showers of blessing." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 34. 26 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  "YOU released a bountiful rain, O GOD; when YOUR OWN land languished, YOU sustained it." [Psalms (Tehillym) 68. 9 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  As we sow and water the SEED, the HOLY WORD OF GOD ALMIGHTY, we have HIS DIVINE promise that HE will accomplish that which HE pleases; and, we are blessed.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
LORD, help us to break down the barriers which keep us from YOU. . . falsehood & faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice & hard-heartedness.
Remember, keep looking up, the best is yet to be!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

NAIL IN A SURE PLACE
"I will place the keys of David's palace on his shoulder; what he opens, no one shall shut; and what he shuts, and no one shall open.  I will fix him as a peg in a secure place on which all the substance of his father's household shall be hung; and he will become a glorious throne to his father's house." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 22. 22 – 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This prophecy was originally applied to Eliakim, the keeper of the treasuries in the reign of King Hezekiah.  The wearing of the key to the treasuries on his shoulder was symbolic of "authority or power."  Isaiah, had used this same symbol in his great prophecy of the coming MESSIAH Y’SHUA, saying that "the authority has settled on HIS shoulders." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Therefore, Eliakim is a type of MESSIAH in his capacity to open and shut doors with his special key (authority, power).  The LORD JESUS quoted from this passage in HIS promise to the church at Philadelphia:  "These things says HE WHO is HOLY, HE WHO is TRUE, HE WHO has the KEY of David, HE WHO opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens — I know your works.  See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept MY WORD and have not denied MY NAME." [Revelation 3. 7 - 8

MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the REDEEMER holds us in righteousness and HE is our "ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and steadfast" [Hebrews 6. 19], WHO will never fail.  The MAN OF SORROWS has been judged for our sins, and with GOD'S promises as the "cords of love" around us, we are secure in HIS salvation.

Eliakim was also called "a nail in a sure place" and in this also he is a wonderful type of MESSIAH Y’SHUA our BELOVED KINSMAN REDEEMER.  Eliakim was trustworthy in his office, even more so is our LOVING LORD.  The Hebrew word for nail, "yathed" can also be translated "tent pin" [see Judges/Shofetim 4. 21], or "stake/peg." [see Isaiah/Yeshayah 33. 20; 54. 2]  The "nail in a sure place" speaks of stability and constant endurance in times of trouble.  "But now for a short while grace has been shown from the LORD our GOD...to give us a nail (peg/stake) in HIS Holy Place" [Ezra 9. 8] "not one of its stakes (nails/pegs) will ever be removed, and none of whose cords shall break." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 33. 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The ETERNAL CREATOR GOD OF HEAVEN is interested in the smallest detail of our lives and is concerned that these details coincide with HIS great plan for us.   Through MESSIAH Y’SHUA, ALMIGHTY GOD has drawn us to HIMSELF and HE has the power to hold us, to keep us from failing, and to present us faultless before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy! [Jude 24]  "Though he (the righteous man) stumbles, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with HIS hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 24 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Our ADORING SAVIOR holds us fast and secure in HIS love and tender mercy.  O, the joy that fills the heart from the precious touch of the MASTER'S hand!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
LORD, help us to break down the barriers which keep us from YOU: falsehood & faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice & hard-heartedness.  Awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR grace which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway come in safety to the coveted goal -- YOUR LOVING PRESENCE.  Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to YOU, GREAT GOD in Heaven for HIS loving - kindness is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully indebted to the MOST MERCIFUL GOD.  We will examine our ways and test them, and return to YOU, O MOST HIGH.
May each day be entered with joy in our hearts and confidence that ALMIGHTY GOD, in HIS mercy, will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed and depraved world around us!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Correct me from the HOLY SCRIPTURE and you’ll have a friend for life.  Correct me by your opinion, and you’ll have only your opinion.

MESSIAH — AFFLICTED FOR ISRAEL
"I will recount the loving-kindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, for all that the LORD has imparted to us, the great goodness to the House of Israel, that HE has bestowed on them according to HIS mercies and to the multitude of HIS loving-kindness.  In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE delivered them.  In HIS love and pity HE HIMSELF redeemed them; HE raised them and carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 7, 9 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The very heart of GOD’S MESSAGE is HIS everlasting love to Israel.  In speaking to them HE tells that HIS love is one of suffering and sacrifice.  We find this attitude of the HOLY ONE recorded particularly in the book of Isaiah which sounds more like a NEW COVENANT writer then an OLD COVENANT prophet as his MESSIANIC prophecies are clearer and more explicit than those in any other OLD COVENANT book.

For about fifteen hundred years Israel offered daily sacrifices to GOD at HIS commands which pointed to the coming of ONE WHO would fulfill this sacrificial love of the ALMIGHTY.  These sacrifices were not intended by GOD to be an end in themselves, but HE taught HIS ancient people, Israel — in these types, pictures, and symbols — of HIS desire to reveal HIS great suffering love for them and that one day HE would actually do this in a SUPREME SACRIFICE, their MESSIAH-REDEEMER-KING!

In the TANAKH, the HEBREW SCRIPTURES, we read concerning the MESSIAH OF ISRAEL, the SAVIOUR of the world.  We find there that HE was to come and express GOD’S love to Israel and to all who would believe on HIM.  Again, in Isaiah’s prophecy, GOD is speaking concerning HIS PROMISED ONE; this UNIQUE ONE WHO would be THE SERVANT OF GOD.  "Indeed, MY SERVANT shall deal prudently; HE shall be exalted and extolled to great heights." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob named the MESSIAH calling HIM "MY SERVANT."  GOD continues HIS description of HIM: "Just as the many were astonished (Hebrew: shamem – petrified, to stun, stupefy, devastate) at HIM, so marred was HIS appearance, unlike that of any man, HIS form, beyond human semblance." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 14 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Here it is recorded concerning the SERVANT — MESSIAH’S sufferings.  So much was HIS suffering that HE was an astonishment.  HIS face and HIS body were twisted in agony because of HIS sacrificial offering for Israel and all mankind.  From words in the HEBREW TEXT we realize that in HIS agony, the beatings accompanying HIS sacrifice disfigured HIS face and twisted HIS body to such a degree that HE did not even look like a man!

Isaiah continues to relate MESSIAH’S suffering:  "I gave MY back to the floggers, and My cheeks to those who tore out the beard; I did not hide MY face from insult and spitting." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 50. 6 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  Notice as you read this particular chapter that it is the LORD GOD HIMSELF WHO is speaking.  HE is saying, "I gave MY back to the floggers.”  So GOD had a back and it was whipped and beaten by man!  Quoting again from SCRIPTURE concerning GOD’S sacrificial suffering - love for Israel: "In all their affliction HE was afflicted."  Yes!  MESSIAH YESHUA entered into the sufferings of Israel even to the agony, the beatings with shame and spitting, the humiliation and heart-break which was associated with HIS supreme sacrifice on Calvary!

Why would MESSIAH do this?  HE is showing HIS sacrificial suffering-love to Israel even as it was pictured by GOD in all the sacrifices of the HOLY WRIT!  All Israel who had faith in these sacrifices were redeemed by the sacrificial blood sprinkled on the Altars and the Ark of the Covenant’s Mercy Seat.  It is like a credit arrangement until the actual SUPREME SACRIFICE on Calvary was accomplished when the debt was paid in full!

"So will HE sprinkle many nations." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 15]  Throughout the FIRST COVENANT WRITINGS in the sacrificial system, GOD commanded the Levitical priests to sprinkle the sacrificial blood — "A life for a life."  There was to be an innocent victim offered in the place of the guilty.  The MESSIAH was to give up HIS innocent life so HE could redeem many who were guilty.  It was because YESHUA was marred more than any man as a sacrifice upon an altar that HE could "sprinkle" many nations.

After this report of MESSIAH’S sacrifice is given we read of a heart-breaking prophecy from Isaiah: "Who has believed our report?  To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?  For HE shall grow up before HIM as a tender plant, as a root out of arid ground.  HE has no form or comeliness; that we should look at HIM; no beauty that we should desire HIM.  HE is despised, rejected by men, a MAN of sorrows and acquainted with grief.  And we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM (as a leper); HE was despised, and we held HIM of no esteem." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

There is a question as to whether or not this report and description of the MESSIAH will be accepted and believed!  It is taught to my Jewish people that Isaiah 53 represents Israel and not MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the RIGHTEOUS, SUFFERING SERVANT OF GOD.  My Jewish people were and are taught to believe that this chapter is merely describing the sufferings Jews have and are undergoing…that they are the ones despised, acquainted with grief and rejected of men.  This beautiful chapter of Isaiah is referring to MESSIAH and not the Jewish people.  Try substituting the personal pronouns HE, HIS, HIM with the word "Israel" and you can see for yourself that this thought is ridiculous at best.  Please read it for yourselves and recognize the description of the ONE WHO was to come as REDEEMER for you and all who will believe on HIM.

What all my Jewish people (and Gentiles) must know is that the SOVEREIGN GOD OF THE UNIVERSE planned from the foundation of the world that there would be two comings of their REDEEMER:  The First Coming would be that of the SUFFERING SACRIFICE for the people’s sins and at HIS Second Coming, HE would be KING.  First, Y’SHUA must appear as the LAMB Sacrifice before HE could appear as RULER in Israel.  And, my Jewish people, you must first accept HIM as the AFFLICTED SERVANT, the SAVIOR-REDEEMER, the SUPREME SACRIFICE for your sins, before you can receive HIM as your LORD & KING.  Won’t you do that now?

May the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless each of you and open your eyes to see Y’SHUA as your MESSIAH, GOD’S PERFECT SACRIFICE.  Accept HIM into your heart — the ONE WHO died for you and victoriously rose again and is coming back to take you to HIMSELF that you might be with HIM forever!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help.  We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow on us day by day.  Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases.  Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU!   Thank YOU LORD for saving my soul!   O that my life give YOU glory LORD GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The world stands on three pillars: On TORAH, on worship, and on acts of loving-kindness.  Throughout the Festival of Shavu’ot, the Season of the Giving of the TORAH, we are reminded of the centrality of TORAH; which teaches us the third pillar, to worship ALMIGHTY GOD through our compassionate (kind) and coherent (fair) dealings with all.

When GOD'S PRESENCE filled the Tabernacle, HE said — "Today I am causing MY PRESENCE to rest among you; if you sin, MY PRESENCE will leave you.  But when MESSIAH comes, MY PRESENCE will remain with you permanently.  Now you see the DIVINE PRESENCE through fire, but with the coming of the MESSIAH you will see ME clearly revealed, as it is written: For eye to eye shall they see when GOD returns to Zion."  [Tz’enah Ur’enah]

FULFILLED LAW
"HE (the risen LORD Y’SHUA) said to them (the 11 frightened disciples) — These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law (Torah) of Moses and the Prophets (Nevi'im) and the Psalms (Kethuvim) concerning ME." [Luke 24. 44]

After HIS death and resurrection, the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH appeared to HIS disciples and ate broiled fish and honeycomb with them to prove HE was not a spirit as they supposed.  Then, the GLORIOUS RISEN ONE opened their minds so they could understand the SCRIPTURES saying to them: "This is what is Written — The MESSIAH will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in HIS NAME to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what MY FATHER has promised; but stay in the City until you have been clothed with POWER from on high." [Luke 24. 46 - 49]

The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH alone perfectly completed all three offices (Prophet — Priest — King): "JESUS OF NAZARETH, WHO was a PROPHET mighty in deed and word before GOD and all the people." [Luke 24. 19]

"We have a GREAT HIGH PRIEST WHO has passed through the heavens, JESUS THE SON OF GOD, let us hold fast our confession." [Hebrews 4. 14]  And, "HE lives continually to make intercession for us, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens." [Hebrews 7. 25.b - 26]

"All who survive of all those nations that came up against Jerusalem shall come up year by year to worship and bow low to the KING, the LORD OF HOSTS and to observe the Feast of Booths (Succoth)." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  "Even as I will pour water on thirsty soil, and rain upon dry ground, so I will pour MY SPIRIT on your offspring, MY blessing upon your posterity." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out MY SPIRIT on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.  And also on MY menservants and on MY maidservants I will pour out MY SPIRIT in those days.  And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood and fire and pillars of smoke.  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.  And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved.  For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the remnant whom the LORD calls." [Joel/Yoel 2. 28 - 32]

This began to be fulfilled when Shavu’ot (Pentecost) came, ten days after MESSIAH, the BELOVED SON, returned to the FATHER in Heaven.  "And they were all filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT gave them utterance." [Acts 2. 4]  Now we can come boldly into the Throne Room of Grace...how marvelous!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Chag Samayach — Joyous Holiday, this is Yizkor Shavu’ot!"  Blessings to all who love Zion!  The Talmud says Jerusalem was named by the ALMIGHTY ONE, blessed be HE.  The name has two parts: Yira, which means "to see"  and salem, which means "peace."

We were greatly blessed when the HOLY ONE brought us out of slavery from Egypt (Passover) and took HIS people directly to Mt. Sinai (freedom). There HE gave us the Law (Shavu'ot) to keep us free from slavery (to sin). Then, gave us Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH to keep us free and give us true peace and rest (Sukkoth/Booths).

Without TORAH we would not have a GUIDE BOOK for living, so one of the many kindnesses the ALMIGHTY ONE has done for us as a people was to give us this SPECIAL GIFT.  Without TORAH we wouldn’t know how to function; we wouldn’t know the best way to serve our CREATOR; we wouldn’t have the tools to distinguish between reality and illusion, between light and dark; we would not have moral clarity; we wouldn’t have a GUIDE BOOK FOR LIVING; nor would we know how to confront life’s greatest challenges or answer life’s difficult questions; we would still be wandering in the desert — if not literally, certainly spiritually.

Shavu’ot is a time to appreciate, to say thanks to the LORD GOD, to imagine the void of a life without TORAH and to experience as if for the first time how it lights up our lives and fills our souls.  So we thank YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for YOUR love, so rich and pure, and for HIS wisdom in giving us HIS Precious Law. HalleluYAH...what a WONDERFUL SAVIOR!

Point of Interest:  In Exodus 32:28, 3,000 were slain at Mt. Sinai on Shavu’ot (Pentecost) when Moses brought the Law (10 Commandments) down from the Mount.  On Pentecost (Shavu’ot) in Acts 2:41, 3,000 gladly received the WORD spoken by Peter and were baptized and added to the body of MESSIAH.
This is Day #2 of Shavo’ut (Pentecost) – [Jewish custom double Festival Days outside of Israel]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When asked why Shavu’ot is called the time of the "Giving of the TORAH"  rather than the "Receiving of the TORAH" — the Kotzker Rebbe responded, "The TORAH was given but once on Mt. Sinai, but the receiving of the TORAH is everyday."
The Law is a hidden treasure. . ."Dresh (Hebrew: search it out)!"

FEAST OF WEEKS
"Three times a year you shall hold a festival for ME: You shall observe the FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD — eating unleavened bread for seven days as I have commanded you — at the set time in the month of Abib/Nisan (translates: ear, green ears of corn), for in it you went forth from Egypt; and none shall appear before ME empty handed; and the FEAST OF HARVEST, of the first fruits of your labors, of what you sow in the field; and the FEAST OF INGATHERING at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field." [Exodus (Shemot) 23. 14 - 16 Tanakh, Torah]

Chag ha’Shavu’ot is the Hebrew word for the FEAST OF Weeks, because it is celebrated seven weeks after Passover.  The Hebrew words seven (sheva) and week (shavua) are derived from the same root word.  However it is also known by many names, reflecting its historical and agricultural significance: Chag ha'Katzir — Feast of the Wheat Harvest.  Chag ha'Bikkuriym — Festival of First Fruits, which were harvested and offered at the Temple.  Zman Matan Toratenu — time of giving of the TORAH. And, Atzeret — the closing festival as some regard Shavuot as the conclusion of Passover, because the Exodus from Egypt was for the purpose of receiving the TORAH.

Shavu’ot is the culmination of the seven-week-long counting of the Omer that occurs following Passover.  The Festival of Shavu’ot is the anniversary of the giving of the TORAH and the giving of the HOLY SPIRIT, it is also known as Pentecost.  This year it begins on the eve of June 8 and lasts thru sundown June 10 (Hebrew Date: Sivan 5 — 7), the event taking place 50 days after Passover.  A new grain offering that the ETERNAL LORD GOD required included two loaves of leavened bread which the priest waved before the LOVING MASTER.  "You shall bring from your settlements two loaves of bread as a wave offering; each shall be made of two-tenths of an ephah of choice fine flour, baked after leavening, as first fruits to the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 17 Tanakh, Torah]

On this Feast, the Book of Ruth is read in Synagogues around the world.  It tells of a poor Moabitess and her Jewish mother-in-law who return to Bethlehem from Moab at harvest time.  Under the Law, the GREAT & MIGHTY GOD OF ISRAEL instructed, "When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap all the way to the edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and the stranger — I the LORD am your GOD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 22 Tanakh, Torah]   Ruth (means friend) is directed by the hand of the HOLY ONE to glean in the field of Boaz (fleetness; it is strength), the man she will marry and who father's Obed (serving, servant), the grandfather of Jesse (I possess) — the father of David (beloved). [Ruth/Roos 4. 21 - 22]  The Moabitess, Ruth is the great-grandmother of King David.  Since tradition alleged that King David was born and died on Shavuot, the Book of Ruth is read in his honor.

Also, Shavu’ot is the day King David was to have written his most famous songs, Psalm 119, which highly praises and extols the WORD OF THE MOST HIGH.  David, the greatest king of Israel and a man after GOD'S OWN heart, is remembered on this Festival for his unique and intimate relationship with the HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH.

Shavu’ot  is a time to re-commit oneself to the MAGNIFICENT GOD OF THE UNIVERSE and to HIS LIFE-GIVING WORD.  Now is the time for harvest of souls.  The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA exhorted us to "lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!  And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together." [John 4. 35 - 36]  "Blessed is that servant whom his MASTER, when he comes, will find so doing." [Matthew 24. 46]  "Observe what is right and do what is just; for soon MY SALVATION shall come, and MY DELIVERANCE be revealed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 56. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"May the LORD reward your deeds.  May you have a full recompense from the LORD, the GOD OF ISRAEL, under WHOSE wings you have come for refuge." [Ruth (Roos) 2. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Come...let us worship and bow down before our BLESSED CREATOR!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Bidding farewell to Sabbath and Welcoming Erev Shavu’ot – Eve of Pentecost!
The Torah’s Three Elements: Fire symbolizes hard work.  We see this explicitly in the Yiddish word "farbrent" (literally, "on fire"), which is used to describe intense effort in TORAH learning.  As we mentioned above, the idea of hard work corresponds to the blessing, "to be involved in the study of TORAH."
Water symbolizes happiness.  In the Land of Israel, rain is considered a blessing and a benefit.  We should all be happy when it rains, since almost every aspect of our lives depends on water.  This idea corresponds to the blessing, "make the words of TORAH sweet in our mouths."
The Desert represents humility.  It is low and flat, and people walk all over it.  This corresponds to the blessing, "the ONE WHO gives TORAH " - since, as we mentioned, it takes humility to recognize that our own efforts are not the ultimate cause of our success.
Now we can finally understand why Parshat Bamidbar [Numbers 1:1 - 4:20; Hosea 1:10 – 20; Luke 16:1 - 17:10] is read right before Shavu’ot.  On Shavu’ot, we do not simply commemorate the original acceptance of TORAH, but we accept the TORAH upon ourselves anew.  In order to prepare ourselves to truly receive TORAH on this day, Parshat Bamidbar gives us the keys that will enable our TORAH learning to succeed.
May we all be triply blessed: to work hard in learning the TORAH that was given at Mount Sinai in fire, with sweet happiness that feels as good as cool water, so that this Shavu’ot will be a humble, down-to-earth acceptance of GOD'S extraordinary gift.
"Chag Sameyach — a joyous Shavu’ot!"  Celebrating the ALMIGHTY ONE'S joyous Seasons of the Giving of the Law.  We are greatly blessed for the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS HOLY NAME, has brought us out of slavery from Egypt (Passover) and took HIS people directly to Mt. Sinai.  There HE gave us the Law (Shavu’ot) to keep us free from slavery (to sin).
O MERCIFUL FATHER, make us gladly obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and reverence for YOU.  In YOU alone we put our trust; we rejoice and delight in YOU, O GOD of our salvation.  Infinite as YOUR power, LORD, even so is YOUR love, O LORD OF HOSTS.  YOU led us into the way of righteousness and brought us to the light of truth.  Therefore, at our lying down and our rising up, we meditate on YOUR TEACHINGS and at all times rejoice in YOUR Laws.  In them are true life and length of days.  O that YOUR love may never depart from our hearts.  Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO has made us YOUR people.
Four essential traits to being a leader:  l. Courage 2. Humility 3. Never Give Up 4. Optimism. Shavu’ot is not only the anniversary of the revelation of TORAH at Sinai, it is the birthday of Jewish royalty as well, the day King David was born and died.  To mark the event the Book of Ruth, which traces David’s ancestry, is read in synagogues and homes on Shavu’ot.
Day 49 of L’Omer
Our uniqueness comes from the ALMIGHTY ONE.  We are a holy people to the LORD our GOD, for HE has chosen us to be a people for HIMSELF, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. [see Deuteronomy/Devarim 14.2]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The holiday of Shavu’ot is different than any other on the Hebrew calendar.  Shavu’ot, memorializes the date we, the Jewish forefathers received the TORAH.  It is the only festival preceded by a lengthy count down of 49 days when we take note of how far we have already come to reenacting the most momentous event of our history.  Just as for our ancestors of old, the journey from Passover to Mount Sinai takes seven weeks of seven days, the holy number of seven representing sanctity squared.

SHAVU’OT
"From the day on which you bring the sheaf of elevation offering — the day after Sabbath — you shall count off seven weeks.  They must be complete: you must count until the day after the seventh week — Fifty Days; then you shall bring an offering of new grain to the LORD.  You shall bring from your settlements two loaves of bread as an elevation offering; each shall be made of two-tenths of a measure of choice flour, baked after leavening, as first fruits to the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 15 - 17 Tanakh, Torah]

Shavu’ot (weeks) also called Feast of Pentecost, Feast of Harvest and Feast of Weeks.  Shavu’ot is recognized as a memorial to the giving or revelation of ALMIGHTY GOD'S gift of the 10-Commandments at Mount Sinai 50-Days after the Israelites were led out of Egypt.  Seven weeks after leaving the land of death, the Israelites received the entire moral law from the mouth of the LORD GOD HIMSELF as HE spoke to them from Mount Sinai to guide and establish the redeemed nation.

It is a time to remember and observe the anniversary of the Covenant between the ETERNAL GOD and Israel.  GOD'S time-table is remarkable, first HE established HIS pattern for redemption in the death of the Sacrificial Lamb.  As death visited the first-born of all the homes in Egypt not covered by the blood, Israel was set free from her bondage.  Passover is a memorial to freedom.  Many years later, at Passover, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH concluded that sacrifice, setting us free from sin and death.  Paul identifies HIM in the resurrection as "CHRIST THE FIRST-FRUITS" [1 Corinthians 15. 23] for it was on the morning of the offering of the first fruits of the barley harvest that HE WHO is the BREAD OF LIFE raised from the dead.

Shavu'ot remembers GOD'S message of the Law, "All the people answered as one, saying
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           — All that the LORD has spoken we will do!" [Exodus (Shemot) 19. 8 Tanakh, Torah]  There is no liberty without DIVINE Law and self-discipline.  The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA said, "Go! make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER and of the SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS THAT I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." [Matthew 28. 19 - 20]

On Shavu’ot/Pentecost, the priest waved two loaves of challah (leavened bread) before the LORD GOD OF HEAVEN.  Usually leaven is forbidden, but on this occasion there was a hidden meaning to the leaven.  OLD COVENANT saints wrote about the "GREAT SECRET" and the SECRET laid hidden from Genesis to Malachi (Bereshith — Dibre Hayamin Bet in the TANAKH).  But, it was never fully known until the time of Paul.  The HOLY SPIRIT revealed to this Jewish Apostle that GOD'S eternal purpose was to take from both Jew and Gentile, a people for HIS GREAT NAME, that they would be made a joint-body in MESSIAH Y’SHUA!

The two loaves "baked with leaven" waved before the HIGH & LOFTY ONE on Shavu’ot, represent Jew and Gentile.  The leaven is symbolic of sin in them both being brought together in the SON.  Here ETERNAL GOD was teaching HIS people that divine redemption through HIS ANOINTED ONE would be for whosoever will.  "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same LORD over all is rich to all who call upon HIM. For whoever calls on the NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved." [Romans 10. 12 - 13]

As the wave offering was lifted up to a high plane, so the HOLY SPIRIT leads both Jew and Gentile to the holy faith in Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH to the highest position near to the very heart of GOD OMNISCIENT.  Also, the HOLY SPIRIT leads both Jew and Gentile and forms us into one body.  Faith in the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA makes every man equal in GOD'S sight.  The LORD MOST HIGH is the gracious and merciful GOD & KING!

The LORD Y’SHUA set us free from the Law in granting us salvation.  Salvation is a GIFT to be accepted not a status we achieve.  Y’SHUA, the ROCK of our salvation, sets us free from our own habits and actions in order that we may be free to obey.  We become free to do, not as we please, but as the LORD GOD commands.  In a sense, we are set free from our own habits, actions and the traditions of men so that we may hear the authentic and complete WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.  This freedom comes from the knowledge that it is no longer our own efforts, but it is GOD'S power that is at work within us.  This was then demonstrated and brought to completion in HIS season or timing:  "And when the DAY OF PENTECOST (Shavu’ot) had fully come, they were all together in one place" [Acts 2. 1], celebrating this "FESTIVAL OF THE FIRST-FRUITS" of the barley harvest "and they were all filled with the HOLY SPIRIT" becoming the "first fruits" of GOD'S Harvest.

The POWER OF THE ETERNAL ONE came to dwell in us.  The prophets were continually calling the nation of Israel back to the LIVING GOD WHO had made HIMSELF known at the Exodus.  We can know that same HOLY GOD, through Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, by the power of the SPIRIT OF GOD.  On Shavu’ot/Pentecost, the HOLY SPIRIT came [Acts 2] to fulfill the prophecy of David so that the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA would be recognized by Israel and known as THE ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
6 Sivan (June 9th this year) — Celebrates the giving of the TORAH at Mount Sinai. [Exodus/Shemot 19 & 20]
The following is a prayer for the restoration of Zion by a MESSIANIC Jewish Rabbi and believer in Y’SHUA, Yechiel Tzvi Lichtenstein (1831-1912). It was first published in 1887 and has been reprinted again by Vine of David:

"O LORD, in accordance with all of YOUR acts of righteousness, let YOUR anger and wrath turn away from YOUR city Jerusalem, YOUR holy mountain.  Our FATHER, our KING, lift a banner to the peoples to return Israel to its pasture.  Gather us together from the four corners of the earth to our land, and plant us within its borders on the mountain of our inheritance.  Bring us to Zion, YOUR city, with singing and to Jerusalem, YOUR Holy City, with eternal joy.  Build it in YOUR compassion and let it remain perched and inhabited in its place.  Establish YOUR Holy Temple in it and gladden us in YOUR House of Prayer.  Return YOUR Dwelling Presence to Zion, YOUR city, and send us Y’SHUA our MESSIAH a second time.  Let HIM reign upon the throne of David in Jerusalem, YOUR Holy City.  Lift up the horn of the salvations of your people Israel in the House of David YOUR servant — salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, just as YOU have spoken through YOUR prophets.  O LORD, hear!  O LORD, forgive!  O LORD, listen and act!  Do not delay, for YOUR OWN sake, our GOD, for YOUR NAME is called upon YOUR city and upon YOUR people.  Hasten, ha’SHEM, to help us!  Ransom YOUR people Israel from all its iniquities and from all its troubles, for the time to be gracious has come, for the appointed time has come. Amen."

Fiftieth Day of the Omer ― On this day we celebrate the Festival of Shavu’ot, the giving of the TORAH (Matan Torah).

The LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, the LAMB OF GOD alone is worthy "to receive glory and honor and power and riches and wisdom, and strength and blessing; for YOU created all things, and by YOUR will they exist and were created. Amen!" [Revelation 4:11 w/5.12 & 13]  "For YOU were slain, and have redeemed us to GOD by YOUR blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us a kingdom of priests to our GOD; and we shall reign on the earth. Amen!" [Revelation 5:9-10]

GOD’S LAMB merits all praise for what HE accomplished and we humbly receive the GIFT (matan) from Above which we could not have achieved with our own limited faculties.  We are given the privilege to reach and touch the HOLY ONE.  "Behold what manner of love the FATHER has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of GOD!  Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know HIM.  Beloved, now we are children of GOD; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is.  And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3:1-3]  "For as many as are led by the SPIRIT OF GOD, these are sons of GOD.  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the SPIRIT of adoption by whom we cry out, "ABBA, FATHER."  The SPIRIT HIMSELF bears witness with our spirit that we are children of GOD, and if children, then heirs — heirs of GOD and joint heirs with CHRIST, if indeed we suffer with HIM, that we may also be glorified together." [Romans 8:14-17]
Chag Samayach — Joyous Holiday We wish all of you a blessed Matan ha’TORAH (Gift of the Law) — the Giving of the Law!  Have an extraordinarily blessed day in celebrating the Festival of Weeks.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May you have the hind-sight to know where you've been; the for-sight to know where you're going; and the in-sight to know when you've gone too far.

LIGHT & TRUTH
"Oh, send out YOUR Light and YOUR Truth!  Let them lead me; let them bring me to YOUR holy hill and to YOUR Tabernacle." [Psalms (Tehillym) 43. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This old troubled world we live in certainly is in desperate need of light to find the only way out of the terrible darkness it is in; and the truth to rightly exist instead of constant chaos.

The Hebrew word 'emeth means truth — 'owr means light. ALMIGHTY GOD is the AUTHOR of all truth and light.  HE has already sent out HIS light and HIS truth, but "men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." [John 3. 19 - 20]  Although they profess to be ever learning, they are always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  In fact, "they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." [2 Timothy 3. 7; 4. 4]

Although we have much more light than in the days of the Psalmist, as well as access to the truth, because, we have GOD'S complete WRITTEN WORD — from Genesis to Revelation.  As SCRIPTURE promises and proclaims, "YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   And again the promise, "For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life." [Proverbs (Mishle) 6. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The truth of the LORD GOD OF HOSTS is what we all need for our faith as we live in a world of woe and the future looks so dark.  Times of tribulation are also revealed in the light of HIS HOLY WORD, both the inspired WRITTEN WORD and the LORD JESUS, the INCARNATE LIVING WORD OF TRUTH.  "That you may know that I am the LORD." [Exodus (Shemot) 10. 2 Tanakh, Torah]   "Be in fear of the sword for yourselves; for wrath is iniquity worthy of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment." [Job (Iyowb) 19. 29 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   "These things I have written to you who believe in the Name of the SON OF GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 13]

The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH not only claimed: that HE was "the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE" [John 14:6], HE also prayed for us saying, "sanctify them by YOUR Truth.  YOUR WORD is Truth." [John 17. 17]

And as a privileged blessing for all who believe the EVER-LIVING ETERNAL MASTER revealed truth, "GOD, WHO commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of JESUS CHRIST." [2 Corinthians 4. 6]

HalleluYAH! There are many great joys and benefits now in serving the ETERNAL LOVING LORD OF GLORY.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
May your eyes shine with the light of GOD’S HOLY WORD and your face reflect the brightness of the heavens; and, your lips ever speak wisdom and your fulfillment be in righteousness even as you ever yearn to hear the WORD of the HOLY ONE OF OLD.
 Day 47 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to change.

EYES OF THE LORD
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro over the entire earth, to show HIMSELF strong on behalf of those who are wholeheartedly loyal to HIM." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 16. 9 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Though "GOD is SPIRIT" and HIS "worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth" [John 4. 24], it is wonderful to know that our LOVING ALMIGHTY CREATOR is also omnipotent (all powerful, invincible, unstoppable), omniscient (all-knowing, insightful, profound knowledge) and omnipresent (all-present, completeness, pervasive, all-encompassing).  And we can know assuredly that "HE WHO formed the eye, shall HE not see?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 94. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good." [Proverbs (Mishle) 15. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  The eyes of the LORD GOD saw each step of HIS creation, that "it was good." [Genesis/Bereshith 1]   GOD saw Adam and Eve sinning in the Garden, HE saw Cain kill Abel, and HE saw the people building the tower at Babel, and HE came down to observe it.  Nothing is done without HIS knowledge, all is seen by the ETERNAL ONE.

The Prophet Zechariah reminded us not to "despises or scorn a day of small beginnings" for they will be examined and scrutinized by "the eyes of the LORD, ranging over the whole earth." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 4. 10 Tanakh, Nevi’im]   When "YEHOWAH saw how great was man's wickedness on earth, and how every plan devised by his mind was nothing but evil all the time" and "the earth was corrupt in GOD'S sight and was full of violence." [Genesis (Bereshith) 6. 5, 11 Tanakh, Torah]  "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD" [Genesis/Bereshith 6:8], and he and his family were saved through the awful flood that encompassed the entire world.

We are encouraged by the psalmist’s words that Peter quoted, "For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and HIS ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 15 Tanakh, Nevi’im; 1 Peter 3. 12]  It is reassuring and comforting to know that one of the names of our GREAT GOD is "EL-ROIY (GOD WHO SEES)" [Genesis/Bereshith 16:13], and conduct ourselves responsibly and fittingly, being fully aware that our GOD & HEAVENLY FATHER is watching us with deep love and concern.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
GOD'S Mercy Remembered: "I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the House of Israel, which HE has bestowed on them according to HIS mercies, according to the multitude of HIS lovingkindnesses.  Since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any GOD besides YOU, who acts for the one who waits for HIM.  YOU meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers YOU in YOUR ways." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 63.7; 64:4-5]
We wish to take this opportunity to prayerfully ask the HOLY ONE to bless each of you — may you have firsthand knowledge of our LOVING SAVIOR and a personal relationship with HIM.

Day 46 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The fruit of wisdom comes through righteousness which virtue teaches are for temperance, good judgment, justice and courage — of which nothing is more profitable in life.

WOE TO CORRUPT LEADERS & DECEIVING PROPHETS
This is what the LORD GOD EXALTED says — "You have profaned MY NAME among MY people for handfuls of barley and for morsels of bread; killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live — by your lying to MY people who listen to lies." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 13. 19 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

These are abominable, debased and corrupt sins that are world-wide that are being or have been legalized, even force-funded with the American tax dollar.  The sins specifically: Abortion and Homosexuality.  "For they are a nation void of sense, lacking in all discernment." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 28 Tanakh, Torah]   Chapter 20 of Leviticus, is replete naming the assorted sins and the penalties for breaking GOD’S laws.  By abortion, they are killing those who should not die; and promoting homosexuality, they are keeping alive those who should not live.  These are the two big issues we are facing today in politics and society in general.

Just as GOD’S WORD foretold, in the last days the evil ruler will "will speak pompous words against the MOST HIGH and shall persecute the saints of the MOST HIGH.  He will intend to change times and law.  Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time (three and one-half years)." [Daniel (Danyel) 7. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Consider the VOICE of the SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE: "MY heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake.  I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of the LORD, and because of HIS HOLY WORDS.  For the land is full of adulterers; for because of a curse the land mourns.  The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up.  Their course of life is evil, and their might is not right…They commit adultery and walk in lies; they also strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns back from his wickedness.  All of them are like Sodom to ME, and her inhabitants like Gomorrah.

Thus says the LORD OF HOSTS: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you.  They make you worthless; they speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the LORD.  They continually say to those who despise ME — 'The LORD has said, ‘You shall have peace’ — and to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say — ‘No evil shall come upon you.’

Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD has gone forth in fury...A violent whirlwind!  It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.  The anger of the LORD will not turn back until HE has executed and performed the thoughts of HIS heart.  In the latter days you will understand it perfectly (sin of every description is a rampant, an obsessive epidemic everywhere in the world today-Woe!)."

"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.  I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.  But if they had stood in MY counsel, and had caused MY people to hear MY WORDS, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.  Therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you and forsake you… and will cast you out of MY PRESENCE.  And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten." [see Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 23. 9 - 40]

"Those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap them.  And they perish by a blast from GOD, and they are consumed by the breath of HIS nostrils." [Job (Iyob) 4. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "They sow wind, and reap the whirlwind." [Hosea (Hoshea) 8. 7 Tanakh, Nevi’im]   "He who sows iniquity (injustice, wickedness) will reap sorrow; his rod of anger will fail." [Proverbs (Mishle) 22. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

LORD GOD Forewarned: "Repent and turn away from all your loathsome abominations.  Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all the transgressions by which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit that you may not die... For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies — declares the LORD GOD — Repent, therefore, and live!" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 30 - 32 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

We have all sinned, but that is no excuse to embrace, accept or adhere to it.  Sin separates us from the HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN; like a disease, sin unchecked will spread throughout our lives and affect all that we say, think and do.  There is ONLY ONE PATH that is right and we need GOD’S help to stay on it.  Only then can we walk in the light of HIS SON, Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, and share HIS SPIRIT OF COMFORT.  "Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!" [Deuteronomy/Devarim 32. 29]

The TRUE & LIVING GOD will be merciful to those who trust in HIM and to all who call upon HIM for atonement for HE is good and ready to forgive.  Turn to the MASTER, the ENDURING SURE FOUNDATION, and do the works befitting repentance.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
O GOD and FATHER, hear me as I pray with the Psalmist of old: So teach us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart.  And, may the hallowed influences of this day give us strength to do YOUR perfect will, O GOD, with a steadfast, submissive and loving spirit and with a heart of wisdom. Amen.

The LORD loves truth and peace: "Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; give judgment in your gates for truth, justice and peace; let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; and do not love a false oath.  For all these are things that I hate, says YEHOWAH, the GOD OF HOSTS." [Zechariah/Zecharyah 8:16-17]

We pray for YOUR soon return, LORD, and expectantly desire seek YOUR glorious face.  Speedily come, we pray!

Yom Yerushalayim – Jerusalem Day, Iyar 28   Every cell of my soul celebrates the GOD-given gift of the return of the Jewish People to Jerusalem 52 years ago, the Six Day War – and the return of the Holy City of Jerusalem to the Jewish People.

Day 43 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is a crack in everything, that is how the light gets in.

JACOB, AN HONORABLE NAME
"Then his brother emerged holding on to Esau's heel, so they named him Jacob." [Genesis (Bereshith) 25. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

Few in number were the godly remnant of Abraham's household.  It was their heritage of faith, though they had only a few cherished chapters of Genesis; eagerly, the promises weighed in their hearts.

Though she came from a strange land, Rivkah (Rebekah) was heir of that faith, when she became the wife of Itshak (Isaac).  She was the mother of the twins, Jacob and Esau, and was mindful of the promise the ALMIGHTY HOLY ONE had given to her forefathers when sin entered into the world and attempted to put out the LIGHT OF HOPE among men.  The promise was for "THE SEED" of woman WHO would battle Satan, the evil serpent, the Evil Adversary, the Arch-Deceiver and enemy of man.  In that conflict the "heel" would play an important role.  With the heel, the woman's "SEED" would crush the serpent's head; in turn, HIS heel would be bruised.  Therefore Rivkah (Rebekah) called her son Jacob — a name which literally means he shall fight with the heel or heel grabber!  The name, "Jacob" is a play on the Hebrew word "aqeb" that means "heel" — which can also be correctly translated, supplanter.

Often the first seeds of anti-Semitism are planted by the habit of calling Jewish people names. . . "a Jacob, a Heb, a kike, a supplanter."  One should not condone the crooked deed of Jacob, when he deceived his father to get the blessing, which was rightfully his according to GOD’S OWN WORD before they were born. [Genesis/Bereshith 25. 23]  Jacob's heart yearned for holiness, purity, and for the likeness of the IMAGE OF GOD.  In HIS grace and mercy, the LORD GOD MOST HIGH covered Jacob with perfection and righteousness.  Even Isaac acknowledged that Jacob was the one he should have blessed, and trembled exceedingly when he realized he almost disobeyed the LORD GOD. [Genesis/Bereshith 27. 33]  Correctly translated, Genesis/Bereshith 25:27 should read, "Jacob was a perfect (Hebrew: tam) man (Hebrew: 'ish) who stayed in camp."  Most English versions of the BIBLE read: Jacob was a plain, quiet, peaceful or mild man, dwelling in tents.

Nevertheless, in naming her son Jacob, we see and understand what was in his mother, Rivkah's heart — it was the hope that through this son of hers, "THE PROMISE" regarding the "heel" might be fulfilled...that Jacob might be that "PROMISED SEED" — and that through him the SALVATION OF GOD might be ushered in.

Then why was Jacob's name changed to Israel (prince of GOD, GOD prevails, he will rule as GOD) by the SOVEREIGN One?  Was it because "Jacob" is a name of dishonor?  No! for GOD continued to call HIMSELF "the GOD of Jacob" even after HE changed the name from "Jacob" to "Israel" — this was GOD'S doing!  In the event of the burning bush, about 400 years after that incident, speaking to Moses, the LORD GOD said:  "I am the GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of JACOB." [Exodus (Shemot) 3. 6 Tanakh, Torah]   These are the exact words spoken by the LORD JESUS to prove to the astonished Pharisees and Sadducees that the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead was found in the Law. [Matthew 22. 31 - 32]   Even the last prophet, Malachi, writes of the LORD declaring: "Esau is Jacob's brother, yet I have loved and accepted Jacob; but Esau, I have hated and rejected." [Malachi (Malakhi) 1. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The name "Jacob" is not only honored, it is used to denote "THE ANOINTED ONE" WHO is equal with the HEAVENLY FATHER, the very SON OF GOD, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH.  "This is the generation of them that see HIM, that seek YOUR face, O JACOB! Selah." [Psalms (Tehillym) 24. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   Here in these words, Jacob is brought right into the Holy of Holies of the PRESENCE OF OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT GOD.  MESSIAH Y’SHUA — JACOB is made equal to YEHOWAH GOD HIMSELF.  Jacob, in this occurrence, is another name for the SON OF GOD WHO is in the presence of GOD THE FATHER.  Indeed, Jacob prefigured the ANOINTED MESSIAH WHO is the true JACOB, WHO crushed the Serpent's head.   And, by HIS victory, liberated captive humanity from the dominion of the Devil and death, and opened up the gates of liberty and eternal life!

There are two stages in the life of Jacob characteristic of MESSIAH Y’SHUA:
 1. The stage of conflict and suffering — the Jacob stage.
 2. The stage of triumph and glory prefigured by Israel.
The life of Jacob is also typical of the Church of the LORD JESUS:
 1. The Jacob Stage — that of the Church on earth, the Church militant.
 2. The Israel Stage — that of the Church triumphant in glory.

But whether in conflict or victory, whether militant or triumphant, the person and the name "Jacob" are dear to the heart of the LORD GOD.  Therefore, do not treat that name lightly.  Like Jacob of old, our cry should be, "I wait for YOUR DELIVERANCE, O LORD!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 18 Tanakh, Torah]

We, like Jacob, must yield to the GOD/MAN (MESSIAH Y’SHUA).  We are called to give up our striving for autonomy, for self-determination, self-realization, actualization, and all the other self-stuff, and submit by a life-long yielding to the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH.  In so doing, we are transformed (regenerated) and become princes and princesses of ALMIGHTY GOD.  As KING JESUS promised, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with ME on MY Throne, just as I overcame and sat down with MY FATHER on HIS Throne." [Revelation 3. 21]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Farewell blessings to Sabbath.  We praise YOU, MOST HOLY GOD and ask that YOUR PRESENCE be manifest to us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts of YOUR creatures.  May all the children of men bow before YOU in humility and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may acknowledge that YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and that YOUR NAME is exalted above all.
May Y’SHUA bless you with HIS great love that all may see it and know the ONE from WHOM it came.  May ALMIGHTY GOD’S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY...bright enough for all to see...clear enough for all to follow.
Shalom U'Vrakah — Peace & Blessings!  Have a special and blessed week.
Day 42 of L’ Omer  Yom Yerushalayim begins at dusk

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Be deliberate in judgment and raise up many disciples!

FEASTS OF THE LORD  (Part 1 of 2)
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" (Hebrew: "mo'ed") are found in Leviticus 23.  This is the HOLY ONE'S "Calendar of Redeeming Grace."  In these forty-four verses are seven feasts (Hebrew: "chag or hag") of the LORD which set the chronological order of GOD'S complete plan of redemption.

Sabbath  [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 1 - 3]  CREATOR GOD ceased from HIS work of creation on the seventh (Sabbath) day and desired those whom HE had created to gather together on that day to "feast" with HIM.  Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, the SABBATH OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, is the beginning and the fulfillment of all the FEASTS OF THE LORD.  HE alone could say, "Come to ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Sabbath).  Take MY yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest (Sabbath) for your souls." [Matthew 11. 28 - 29]

Passover (Pesach) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 4 - 5]  This was to be kept in remembrance of Israel's great deliverance from death and Egyptian bondage through the sacrifice of a spotless lamb.  The death of the Passover lamb was to be the starting point of all GOD'S purposes for redemption and the foundation of all that is set forth in the rest of the "FEASTS OF THE LORD."  We see prophecy of the COMING ONE WHO, by the offering of HIMSELF as the SUPREME SACRIFICE, would redeem all who would believe on HIS NAME.  Upon seeing MESSIAH Y’SHUA, John the Baptist proclaimed, "Behold, the LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sin of the world!" [John 1. 29]

Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag Hamotzi) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 6 - 8]  This Feast immediately follows Passover and is only to be observed by those who had partaken of the Passover lamb and put away the leaven (represents sin) — thus telling of the holy walk of the believer.  The LORD JESUS became as the LEAVENED BREAD (HE was made sin on the Cross) that those believing on HIM might partake of the UNLEAVENED BREAD (the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD).  "Indeed MESSIAH JESUS, our PASSOVER, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." [1 Corinthians 5. 7 - 8]

Feast of First-Fruits (Yom Ha'bikkurim) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 10 - 14]  Three days after the Passover lamb was slain, the Feast of First-Fruits was to be celebrated.  At this time the High Priest was to take a sheaf of the first-fruits of their barley harvest into the Temple and wave it violently before the LORD GOD OF HEAVEN.  This looked forward to the fulfillment when Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST (the TRUE PASSOVER LAMB) raised from the dead!   Y’SHUA, the GRAIN OF BARLEY that had fallen to the earth to die, now shoots forth (violently shaken) and is raised before the LORD GOD as the FIRST-FRUITS of those that sleep. [1 Corinthians 15. 20]   "I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE; whoever believes in ME, though he may die, he shall live" [John 11. 25 - 26] — was the promise of  the LORD JESUS at Lazarus' tomb.

Feast of Weeks (Shavu'oth/Pentecost) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 15 - 22]  The Israelites were to remember that seven weeks after leaving the land of death, Moses was called up to Mount Sinai and given the pattern of the Tabernacle, the order of the priesthood, the law and the offerings which were to guide and establish the redeemed nation.  Two loaves of bread "baked with leaven" were to be waved before the LORD on that day.  Here, ALMIGHTY GOD was teaching HIS people that divine redemption through HIS ANOINTED ONE would be for "whosoever will."  These two leavened loaves typify Jew and Gentile, with sin in them both, being brought together.

When the FIRST-FRUIT (Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH) was raised from the dead, HE appeared 40 days to HIS disciples, then ascended into heaven.  Ten days later "when the Day of Pentecost (50 Days) was fully come" GOD THE FATHER poured out the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and the Church, made up of both Jew and Gentile believers, were empowered, the Law written on the fleshly tablets of their heart, the tabernacles of clay now indwelt by the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD.

GOD THE SON (Y’SHUA) honored the FATHER at Passover by dying.  GOD THE FATHER honored the Feast of First-Fruits by raising MESSIAH Y’SHUA from the dead.  GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT honors the Feast of Weeks by coming upon the disciples as they waited in the upper room, and dwelling within them and each of us who wholly follow the BELOVED MASTER.

. . . to be continued

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One man's candle is light for a hundred.

FEASTS OF THE LORD  (Part 2 - Conclusion)
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" are found in Leviticus 23.  This is "GOD'S Calendar of Redeeming Grace."  In these forty-four verses are seven "FEASTS OF THE LORD" which set the chronological order of the HOLY ONE'S complete plan of redemption.

Feast of Trumpets (Yom Tru'ah) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 23 - 25]  The trumpet is used in HOLY SCRIPTURE to symbolize GOD'S voice.  Six months have gone by since the Feast of Passover.  Six is the number representing man and his work.  Man's "work days" are ended and the kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our GOD and HIS ANOINTED SON!  Seven is the perfect number (GOD'S number) the Day of Rest (Sabbath).  The seventh month, when the Feast of Trumpets are to be celebrated prophesies the "second coming" of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 26 - 32]  This was the day when the High Priest sprinkled the "blood of the sacrifice" on the Mercy Seat to receive forgiveness of their sins committed through the year.  He would also "confess over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their sins." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 21 Tanakh, Torah]   Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, our great HIGH PRIEST has entered "into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us, HE has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of HIMSELF... CHRIST was offered once to bear the sins of many.  To those who eagerly wait for HIM, HE will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation." [Hebrews 9. 24 - 28]

Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 34 - 44]   This Feast completes the history of redemption.  The purpose of CREATOR GOD was the gathering together of a people for HIMSELF that HE might dwell in their midst. . . they can rest in HIS love, and HE can inhabit the praises of HIS people.  This was a joyful time when the Israelites dwelt in booths after being delivered from Egypt's bondage and it prophecies rest and glory when we believers will dwell with our BLESSED REDEEMER, the LORD JESUS and go up year-after-year to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, serving HIM with gifts and sacrifices in joy and gladness. [Zechariah/Zecharyah 14. 16 - 21]  We will enter into GOD'S perfect rest for one thousand years and continue in rest and glory FOREVER!

The seven FEASTS OF THE LORD are combined spiritually and experientially in "the Communion (the LORD'S Supper)" which the MESSIAH Y’SHUA appointed for HIS disciples to observe.  We remember (Present) HIS death (Past) until HE comes (Future).

We celebrate the LORD'S Passover because we are redeemed through HIS sacrifice and we walk in newness of life for MESSIAH is our UNLEAVENED BREAD WHO became the FIRST-FRUITS of those who slept, and at Shavuoth (Pentecost), HE filled us with the COMFORTER, HIS PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT.  We show the LORD JESUS' death until HE comes at Trumpets, when not only our Atonement will be complete, but we will Tabernacle (Succoth) with HIM for 1,000 years and Sabbath (Rest) in HIM throughout Eternity.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Our GOD & KING, we humbly bow the knee before YOU and ask that YOU sanctify us through YOUR commandments and let us share in the blessings of YOUR Law.  Satisfy us with YOUR goodness and gladden us with YOUR salvation.  Purify our hearts that we may serve YOU in sincerity and truth.  For YOU, O GOD, are truth and YOUR WORD endures forever.  Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO forgives transgressions, RULER of the world, WHO sanctifies those YOU have redeemed.  Thank YOU for ruling in holiness, the LORD OF HOSTS WHO is exalted through justice and sanctifies through righteousness.
Day 38 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Glass articles are made by the process of blowing.  If a human being can make something beautiful by this procedure, how much more so that which is made by the Breath of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS HOLY NAME.

DEFENDING THE FAITH
"I am appointed for the defense of the GOSPEL." [Philippians 1. 17]

Many are the social CHRISTians today who abuse the use of WRITTEN EVIDENCES of GOD’S HOLY WORD in CHRISTian witnessing, feeling it is somehow dishonoring to Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH or to the HOLY SCRIPTURES in trying to defend them; thus distorting the literal sense of the commands and teachings of the Lord JESUS.  Remember, if the plain sense makes sense, seek no other sense, or you’ll come up with non-sense.

The Apostle Paul, however, did not refrain, by any means, the opportunity to expound the WRITTEN WORD.  The GOSPEL does need defending, and Paul was set for its defense against the attacks of its adversaries.  Also, he told his disciples that "in the defense and confirmation of the GOSPEL, you all are partakers with me of grace." [Philippians 1. 7]

Since we are "partakers" with Paul in this defense, we also need to be prepared and have our face set for its defense.  We must "Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." [1 Peter 3. 15]

Any CHRIST-like-one who shares his faith with the unsaved has encountered many who cannot or will not believe the simple plan of salvation until his questions are answered.  We must be familiar with the "many infallible proofs" [Acts 1. 3] of the deity of the LORD Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE, and HIS power to save, both as OMNIPOTENT CREATOR and the HUMBLE SIN-BEARING SAVIOR.

We must "search the SCRIPTURES daily" and also study the "witness" HE has given in the creation [Acts 17. 11; 14. 17], along with believing the "many infallible proofs" left here. [Acts 1. 3]  "The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them and within reach of all who desire them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 111. 2 Tanakh,Kethuvim]  "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3. 16]

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH." [2 Timothy 2. 15]  Effectively done, fruit will be produced that will "remain" [John 15. 16] instead of a withered crop that "has no root." [Mark 4. 6]  "Test all things; hold fast to what is good." [1 Thessalonians 5. 21]

May the ETERNAL ONE, blessed be HE, help us be among the victorious defenders of the GOSPEL, which is the only "GOOD NEWS" from which righteousness and praise springs forth.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
May our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us. Have a good week —continue serving the BELOVED MASTER with a clean heart (lev tahor) and bless HIM at all times, for HE perseveres in blessing HIS people with sustaining power, mercy, grace and peace prospering you in HIS purpose.
Remember, we are praying for you, and we appreciate your prayers for us!
A special THANK YOU to all veterans for your service to this country; and giving honor to individuals who gave their lives in battles and/or suffered personal and physical tragedies inflicted in combats.
Go with GOD.
Day 36 of L’ Omer

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD chooses what we go through; we choose how we go through it.

GOLDEN LAMPSTAND
"You shall make a lamp stand of pure gold; the lamp stand shall be made of hammered work; its base and its shaft, its cups, calyxes and petals shall be of ONE PIECE. Six branches shall issue from its sides; three branches from one side of the lamp stand, and three branches from the other side of the lamp stand." [Exodus (Shemot) 25. 31 - 32 Tanakh, Torah]

The seven-branch lamp stand is a picture of the Seven-Lamps before the Throne in heaven. "And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD." [Revelation 4. 5] Moses was told to make the Tabernacle and its furnishings "according to the pattern" he was shown for they served as copies and shadows of heavenly things. [Exodus/Shemot 25. 9; Hebrews 8. 5]

The Hebrew word "menorah" means "place of light" — a lamp stand. The TRUE & LIVING GOD instructed the children of Israel to make it of one block of pure gold. There was no wood in this Lampstand at all. Gold is symbolic of DIVINITY and wood of humanity. CREATOR GOD, not man, is the AUTHOR OF LIGHT. The LORD JESUS is "THE MENORAH." Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, the LIGHT OF THE JEWS, the LIGHT OF THE GENTILES [Luke 2. 32; John 1. 9; 8. 12], and the LIGHT in the New City coming down out of heaven. In the Holy City no light from the sun, moon or stars are needed because "the LAMB is the LIGHT." [Revelation 21. 23]

The Golden Lampstand, symbolic of spiritual light and understanding, stood in the Holy Place. One must come into the Holy Place with GOD, the KING ETERNAL, and walk by HIS LIGHT in order to enjoy fellowship with HIM. No service in the natural light is acceptable to the FATHER OF LIGHT for "the natural man does not receive the things of the SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." [1 Corinthians 2. 14]

The Menorah was not made in a mold or fashioned in sections then connected together; but it was beaten into shape outside of the Holy Place, then brought inside. The LORD JESUS was found "in fashion as a MAN" — HE received the hammer of ALMIGHTY GOD'S judgment upon HIM for the sins of the world outside of Heaven. It was outside of the City of Jerusalem that Y’SHUA endured the suffering on Calvary's Cross. Through HIS sufferings, PRINCE OF PEACE was "made perfect" [Hebrews 2. 10], and then was received up into Heaven (the Holy Place). [Hebrews 9. 24] "Ought not the CHRIST to have suffered these things and to enter into HIS glory?" [Luke 24. 26] Noteworthy Comment: On earth, the LORD JESUS was not permitted to enter the Holy Place for HE was not a Levite; the MESSIAH was of the tribe of Judah.

The pure gold represents a DIVINE nature; beaten gold signifies DIVINE workmanship. For the children of the LORD OF HOSTS, this would mean the renewing of our minds, beaten into shape. "The words YOU inscribed give light and grant understanding to the simple." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 130 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We are to be renewed in the spirit of our mind [Ephesians 4. 23] the way the SPIRIT OF GOD renews our mind to think like MESSIAH Y’SHUA in HIS humility. "The SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon HIM; the SPIRIT OF WISDOM & INSIGHT, the SPIRIT OF COUNSEL & VALOR, the SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE, DEVOTION & REVERENCE for the LORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN is very specific concerning the form of this article of furniture even to the bud, knop, flower, and every branch; but HE does not give any measurement to it. The OMNISCIENT ONE has as much purpose in omitting instructions as HE does including them in HIS INSTRUCTIVE WORD. There is no measure or dimensions given for the Menorah. There is no measure to light! Light is limitless, without measure or dimension; so the LORD JESUS in HIS light, love, truth, grace and mercy is matchless and limitless.

The six branches were to come "out of the sides" of the Lampstand. It was on the sixth day that man was created. Six is the number that signifies man and man's working day, it is an incomplete number. The six branches coming out of the sides of the Central Shaft are a very part of the Central Shaft which symbolizes the HOLY & RIGHTEOUS GOD. Therefore, each branch is a picture of man coming out of GOD, born of HIM ... from HIS side.

The Hebrew word for shaft is "yarek" which literally means to be soft, side (the fruitful parts), the seat of life. The six branches joined together with the Central Branch make seven which is the perfect number. We are complete in Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH. The six branches represent the CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD. The LORD Y’SHUA hung upon Golgotha's Cross and from HIS side there flowed a stream of blood and water which gives life to those who come to HIM and are a part of HIM. We, the Church — HIS people, come "out of the side" of the CENTRAL BRANCH!

JESUS, the ANOINTED REDEEMER said, "I am the VINE, you are the branches. Whoever abides in ME, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without ME (severed from ME) you can do nothing." [John 15. 5] Severed from the CENTRAL FIGURE, we cannot stand in the Holy Place; but, we are joined to HIM, made possible by HIS wonderful sacrifice and HIS resurrection from the dead. HalleluYAH!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5
O ETERNAL KING , how great are YOUR signs, and how mighty YOUR wonders! YOUR Kingdom is an Everlasting Kingdom, and YOUR dominion endures throughout the generations. YOU satisfy the longing heart and fill the hungry with good. Oh, that men would praise the LorD for HIS goodness and for HIS kindness to the children of men.
We humble ourselves before YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER and entreat YOU to pardon our sins and grant us a life of health for YOUR services, prosperity of knowing YOU more, and blessings we can share with others.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Time is not a locked room but an endless hallway. . . in every moment there is a door.

STEADFAST ANCHOR
"All the utensils of the Tabernacle, for all its service, as well as all its pegs and all the pegs of the court, shall be of copper." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

The Tabernacle was held together by copper pegs. Our WONDERFUL INFINITE CREATOR GOD planned even the little things and they were to be made perfectly and "according to the pattern." ALMIGHTY GOD is interested in the smallest detail of our lives and is concerned that these details coincide with HIS Great Plan for us.

Another word to be used for these pegs is "nails." The Hebrew word, "yathed" is translated "tent pin, nail, stake." [Judges/Shofetim 4. 21; 5. 26; Isaiah/Yeshayah 33. 20; 54. 2] These nails were hammered down into the sand and cords [Exodus/Shemot 35. 18] were tied to them and attached to the Tabernacle Curtain and the Linen Fence. The curtains and pillars were pegged down to the sand by the cords and copper pins..

The LORD Y’SHUA is described as "a nail in a sure place." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 22. 22 - 23 w/Revelation 3. 7] THE AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith holds us in righteousness and HE is our ANCHOR. "This HOPE we have as an ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the PRESENCE behind the veil." [Hebrews 6. 19]

Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, the PIERCED ONE, has been judged for our sins, as symbolized in the copper (copper denotes judgment). With the cords of love, HE holds us straight in the desert. Our feet are in the copper sockets (picturing our sins having been judged). We are held by the ropes of GOD'S promises and crowned with HIS salvation.

These pins, in order to hold the Tabernacle, Tent, and Court Fence, had to be hammered down deep in the sand. The PIERCED ONE sunk down into death; HE descended, or was hammered down below the earth. We are identified with HIM in HIS death, "I am crucified with CHRIST." [Galatians 2. 20] The LORD JESUS was buried and we are identified with HIM in HIS burial. {Baptism in water symbolizes this to the world.} HE was judged for our sins, we are judged in HIM; MESSIAH was made sin for us that we might be cleansed. Y’SHUA was identified with us in our sins that we might be identified with HIM in HIS righteousness.

In order for the cord to be tied to the head of the nail, it must extend above the ground. Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, GOD'S BELOVED SON, not only died, but HE arose from the dead. We are identified with HIM in HIS resurrection, for we rise with HIM and walk in newness of life. The nail that is seen above the earth, as it were, is looking up into Heaven. The believer is identified in MESSIAH Y’SHUA (the NAIL) "looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our GREAT GOD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST" [Titus 2. 13] ever with his face toward heaven and the return of his REDEEMER & LORD.

"Bind the festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Just as the burnt offerings were held in place, JESUS the SUBSTITUTE for our sins, was bound to the horns of HIS alter, the Cross of Calvary with the cords of:
LOVE (Power) — "having loved HIS OWN who were in the world, HE loved them to the end." [John 13. 1]

OBEDIENCE (Protection) — "Fulfill MY joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind...This command I have received from MY FATHER." [Philippians 2. 8; John 10. 18]

GODLY ZEAL (Help) — "MY zeal for YOUR House has been MY undoing; the reproaches of those who revile YOU have fallen upon ME." [Psalms/Tehillym 69. 9; John 2. 17]

JOY SET BEFORE HIM (Strength) — "JESUS, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith, WHO for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame." [Hebrews 12. 2]

The cords, fastened to the nails, had the power of holding and had the power of drawing. GOD'S love binds us with cords to the "PIN" that is in a Sure Place. "I drew them with human ties, with cords of love." [Hosea (Hoshea) 11. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Through Y’SHUA, the PERFECT ONE, the MOST HIGH GOD has drawn us to HIMSELF and HE has the power to hold us, "to keep us from stumbling, and to present us faultless before the PRESENCE OF HIS GLORY with exceeding joy!" [Jude 24] "Cast your burden on the LORD and HE will sustain you; HE will never let the righteous man be moved (fall, be shaken, collapse)." [Psalms (Tehillym) 55. 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Because our BELOVED MASTER loves us, HE will hold us fast! "To GOD our SAVIOR, WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen" [Jude 25]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5
Praised are YOU, O LORD our GOD, WHO loves us with great love and with exceeding compassion YOU hide us under YOUR protective wing. We humbly ask YOU, O MERCIFUL FATHER, to grant us discernment, that we may understand and fulfill all the TEACHINGS of YOUR WORD. Make us gladly obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and reverence for YOU. In YOU alone we put our trust; we rejoice and delight in YOU, O GOD of our salvation.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The Hebrew word "chesed" is usually translated as kindness; but it also means love — not love as an emotion or passion, but love expressed as deeds.

ANGEL OF THE LORD
"The ANGEL OF THE LORD said to him (Manoah, Samson’s father), "Why do you ask MY NAME, seeing it is WONDERFUL (PELE)?" [Judges (Shofetim) 13. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This fascinating encounter occurred during one of Israel’s periods of apostasy and servitude, when the people had been ruled for forty years by the pagan Philistines. There was one godly couple in the tribe of Dan, however, who had been praying patently for a son, and the ALMIGHTY finally answered their prayers — "The ANGEL OF THE LORD" came to give the good news to Manoah and his wife. The legendary son who was born to them was the strong and mighty Samson, who fought for his people.

But, it is the ANGEL HIMSELF WHO is the most intriguing and unusual individual of the story. HIS NAME was "SECRET (PELE means wonderful, too marvelous even to understand, unknowable)". This is the DIVINE SON, the REDEEMER, the Prophet Isaiah proclaimed was coming — "And HIS NAME will be called WONDERFUL (PELE), Counselor (YAV’ATZ), MIGHTY GOD (GIBWR EL), EVERLASTING FATHER (AD AB), PRINCE OF PEACE (SAR SHALOM)." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6]

This ANGEL OF THE LORD, is in fact, GOD THE SON in one of HIS many extraordinary preincarnate appearances, or theophanies, when the invisible GOD manifested HIMSELF visibly to mankind. There are many created angels [see Hebrews 12. 22] or messengers of GOD, but on certain occasions, this ONE WHO is called "ANGEL OF THE LORD" and also "ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE" — "In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE delivered them; in HIS love and pity HE HIMSELF redeemed them; HE bore them, carried and exalted them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Abraham said of HIM, HE is "the ANGEL WHO has redeemed me from all evil." [Genesis/Yirmeyah 48.. 16] Undoubtedly this ANGEL is none other than GOD HIMSELF, for only the GOD of all ages, the PREINCARNATE MESSIAH could have been seen because HOLY SCRIPTURE makes clear that "No one has seen GOD at any time. The ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, WHO is in the bosom of the FATHER, HE has declared HIM." [John 1. 18]

The ALMIGHTY had already revealed HIMSELF in this way to great men of GOD, and now even to an unknown couple. In due time, this ANGEL, whose name is WONDERFUL, "became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY-BEGOTTEN of the FATHER, full of grace and truth." [John 1. 14] One day, and that very soon, HE will return and dwell with HIS people forever. "I (John – the beloved disciple of Y’SHUA) heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the Tabernacle of GOD is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people. GOD HIMSELF will be with them and be their GOD." [Revelation 21. 3]

Now, that is a promise worth waiting and watch for!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5
We are enamored with YOUR love, O LORD our GOD. It is a great privilege, provided by YOUR amazing grace, to have access and bold confidence to come to YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER. YOU put YOUR arms of comfort around us when life seems to be falling apart. YOU give us wise counsel for these end times. So we thank YOU for the mystery is made known to us and for YOUR compassion, tender mercy and comfort that is new every morning. Great is YOUR faithfulness!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD’S answers are wiser than our prayers.

LAG B’OMER
"And from the day on which you bring the sheaf of Elevation Offering — the day after the Sabbath — you shall count off seven weeks. They must be complete." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 15 Tanakh, Torah]

Lag b'Omer means "the 33rd day of the [counting of the] Omer." The Omer (a unit of measure) was a barley offering, which was brought into the Temple on the day we start counting, the second day of Passover, to the day before Shavuoth, seven full weeks. This period is known as the "Counting of the Omer." {Lag b’Omer is 18 Iyar 5779 on the Hebrew Calendar, May 23, 2019}

Every night, from the second night of Passover to the night before Shavuot, we recite a mitzvah (blessing) and state the count of the Omer in both weeks and days. The first is the week of Chesed (loving-kindness); the second, Gevurah (justice & discipline); the third, Tiferet (harmony – compassion); the fourth, Netzach (endurance); the fifth, Hod/Malchut (humility, [humility in nobility]); the sixth, Yesod (bonding); and the seventh week, Malchut (Sovereignty, leadership).

The counting is intended to remind us of the link between Passover — which commemorates the Exodus — and Shavuoth (Pentecost), which commemorates the giving of the TORAH. It reminds us that the redemption from slavery was not complete until we received the TORAH (The Law). And, hopefully, we learn from the holiday’s profound message that respect is needed to complete love. The first 33 days of the Omer are observed as a period of mourning. We do not take haircuts, perform weddings, or listen to music. Lag b'Omer is the 33rd Day of counting the Omer. The word "lag" means "33" as it is comprised of the Hebrew letters lamud and gimmel corresponding to the numerical values of thirty and three.

The Omer Period is a time of heightened spiritual sensitivity and growth. The closer Shavuot (Pentecost) draws, the greater our anticipation grows for the climactic celebration of the "GIVING OF THE TORAH" — the watershed (dividing, defining moment) event of Jewish history.

However, the greater the potential there is for growth and building, the greater the potential for destruction. Consequently, in eras when the Jewish People have not lived up to their potential, the Omer Period has become one of tragedy: In the time of Rabbi Akiva, who witnessed the destruction of the Second Temple and who was the greatest TORAH Sage of his generation from the era of the MISHNAH; 24,000 of his disciples died in an epidemic. The underlying spiritual cause of the epidemic was the student's lack of respect for each other. This sad event and others took place during the Counting of the Omer. As a result, the Omer Period has become one of semi-mourning in which we don't hold weddings or festivities, nor do we shave or get haircuts. But because the epidemic was suspended on the 33rd day — Lag b'Omer has become a joyous day of celebration, a minor holiday commemorating a break in the plague.

After all his students died, Rabbi Akiva started over and began teaching other students. One of his foremost students was Rabbi Shimon bar-Yochai, a great sage who lived and taught about half a century after the destruction of the Second Temple. The ZOHAR (translation: The Shining Light, Glow, Luminescence) is a book so named because its teachings illuminate the darkness and confusion of this world and serve as a beacon of light by which to navigate the vicissitudes (adversity, difficulties, troubles) of life. Rabbi Shimon himself is referred to by the Zohar as "Botzina Kadisha (Sacred Lamp)."

Lighting bonfires or candles, symbolic of the light provided by the eternal fire of the TORAH, in memory of Rabbi Shimon bar-Yochai, who revealed the teachings of the ZOHAR to the world on Lag b'Omer. In Israel, there are picnics, feasting, dancing, singing, and bonfires are lit — an unusual memorial but one that the rabbi instructed his students to observe.

Many people wait until their son is three before cutting his hair, and on the Lag b'Omer of his third year, they cut the boy's hair. There is also a custom that children play with bows (keshet in Hebrew — the same word as rainbow) on Lag b'Omer. And of recent, it is a national day honoring Israeli Defense Force reserve soldiers, in appreciation for their motivation and willingness to share the load.

As believers in MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the LORD GOD ETERNAL, we can celebrate the GREAT KEEPER OF THE VINEYARD, for HE carries all our burdens and has set us free as we release our heavy load of sin to HIM.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5
Shluchot, a Jewish mazel (good–energetic) prayer: "GOD our FATHER, walk through our home and take away all our worries and illnesses, and please watch over and heal our family and others families as well. Please fill the coming days with YOUR DIVINE PRESENCE, Amen."
As we celebrate Lag B’Omer, let us not just say modeh ani in the morning and then quickly shift to feelings of entitlement. Let’s remember to say "thank you" to the people who do extraordinary things in our lives; but even more importantly, let us especially express gratitude to the people who do the ordinary things that make our lives so filled with blessings. "Thank YOU, LORD! "
Day 33 of the Omer [Lag b’Omer]

One man traveling opposite the flow is more clearly noticed than all who travel together.

JOY & REJOICING
"When YOUR WORDS were offered, I devoured them; YOUR WORD brought me the delight and joy of knowing YOUR NAME is attached to mine, O LORD, GOD OF HOSTS." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 15. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These were the joyous words of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. Even in his gloom and misery, he could rejoice and find great joy in the LORD GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD.

CHRIST-like-ones have a unique life which is the exceptional privilege of the redeemed...they have heavenly joy! There are many courses through which this joy can be experienced. Joy comes from knowing for certain that our sins are forgiven through believing that the blood of the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA covers them; and that by reading the HOLY WORD, we can know more about our LORD and SAVIOR. "I greatly rejoice in the LORD, my whole being exults with joy in my GOD. For HE has clothed me with garments of salvation and triumph, wrapped me in a robe of victory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 61. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Wonderful joy is found in the privilege of praying to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN and having our prayers answered — "Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." [John 16. 24] And, incredibly tremendous joy comes when one sees the fruits of their service. "Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy. Though he goes along weeping, carrying the seed-bag, he shall come back with songs of joy, carrying his sheaves." [Psalms (Tehillym) 126. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We will enjoy the fruit of our labors and they are most sweet.

"Rejoice in the LORD always. Again I will say, Rejoice!" [Philippians 4. 4] After all, we know personally the EVER-LIVING CREATOR of all that is good. "Though now you do not see HIM, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory." [1 Peter 1. 8] "YOU will teach me the path of life. In YOUR PRESENCE (SHAMMAH) is PERFECT JOY; delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Behold, GOD is my SALVATION (Y’SHUA)! I am confident, unafraid; For YAH the LORD is my STRENGTH ('OWZ) and SONG (ZIMRATH), and HE has been my DELIVERANCE (YASHA)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 12. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Now to HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy. To GOD our SAVIOR (Y’SHUA), WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen" [Jude 24 - 25] What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

We give YOU praise for our lives which are committed into YOUR hands, and for our souls which are in YOUR charge, and for YOUR miracles, which are daily; for YOUR wonders and YOUR benefits, which are wrought at all times, evening, morning, and noon. O YOU WHO are all-good, whose mercies fail not; YOU, MERCIFUL ONE, whose loving-kindnesses never cease, we have ever hoped in YOU. For all these things YOUR NAME, O our KING we continually bless and exalt for ever and ever.”

If one cannot understand indirect remarks, he will not understand plain ones either.

RESURRECTION OF ISRAEL
"Thus says the LORD GOD to these bones — I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live again." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 37. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This vision of the "Valley of Dry Bones" had disconnected and scattered body parts everywhere. It was humanly impossible for these bones to live but, GOD ALMIGHTY told Ezekiel to preach to them. At the preaching of the WORD OF GOD, the bones came together. The ETERNAL ONE put sinews and flesh upon the skeletons making them into bodies; but, with no life in them. Then the Breath or Spirit (Hebrew: ruwach) was put into them which caused them to stand upright and live again. The LORD GOD MOST HOLY described these bones as the Whole House of Israel who had been dead and whom HE would cause to come up out of their graves from every land where HE had scattered them.

"In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah — Ours is a mighty city; the HOLY ONE makes victory our inner and outer wall. Open the gates, and let the righteous nation enter, a nation that keeps faith and truth. YOU have increased the nation, O LORD, when YOU added to the nation; extending all the boundaries of the land, YOU are glorified and honored. Oh, let YOUR dead revive and live! Let corpses arise! Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, shout for joy, you who dwell in dust! For your dew is like the dew on fresh growth of herbs; YOU make the land of the shades come to life and the earth shall cast out the dead. O come, MY people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you. Hide but a little moment, until the indignation passes. For behold! the LORD shall come forth from HIS place to punish the dwellers of the earth for their iniquity. And the earth shall disclose its bloodshed and shall no longer conceal its slain." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 1, 2, 15, 19 - 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"For the LORD has built Zion; HE has appeared in all HIS glory." [Psalms (Tehillym) 102. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Zion refers not only to Jerusalem, but to those who live in that City. The MASTER DESIGNER is speaking of a literal city and a literal people in connection with HIS literal appearance. The ALMIGHTY ONE will revive the Jewish people spiritually, politically and nationally.

The GLORIOUS LORD GOD will revive Israel and put them back in their own land which HE promised to Abraham and will set one KING over them. "The LORD will pardon Jacob, and will again choose Israel, and will settle them on their own soil." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There is a rebirth of the land as well as of the people of Zion. ALMIGHTY GOD is giving them the very breath of spiritual life. That life can only come through faith in the PROMISED ANOINTED ONE OF GOD. They are coming out of their graves of spiritual death and receiving eternal life by receiving Y’SHUA OF NAZARETH as their long-awaited REDEEMER-MESSIAH, the SOON-COMING KING. Truly, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is THE PROMISED ONE OF GOD to come to Israel WHO will be their RIGHTEOUS KING in Zion. GOD promised that one KING will rule in "That Day" when Zion would be built up.

Will you be one of GOD’S called and chosen? Won't you allow the MESSIAH to rule as LORD of your life? The LORD Y’SHUA is coming back very shortly for HIS OWN special people. Be ready!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift...that is why we call it the present.

FAMINES, FLOODS, DROUGHTS & DISASTERS

"I have given you cleanness of teeth (famine) in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your settlements.  Yet you did not turn back to ME" — declares the LORD.

"I therefore withheld rain from you three months before harvest time; I made it rain on one town, I withheld rain from another; one part was rained upon, where it did not rain that part withered.  So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water.  But their thirst would not be satisfied.  Yet you have not returned to ME" — declares the LORD.

"I scourged you with blight and mildew.  When your gardens increased, your vineyards, your fig trees, and your olive trees, the locust devoured them.  Yet you did not turn back to ME" — declares the LORD.

"I sent among you pestilence in the manner of Egypt; your young men I slew with a sword, together with your captive horses, and I made the stench of your armies rise in your nostrils.  Yet you have not returned to ME" — declares the LORD.

"I have wrought destruction among you as when ELOHIYM destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and you have become like a firebrand plucked from burning.  Yet you have not turn back to ME" — declares the LORD.

"Assuredly, because you are acting thus toward ME, even so will I do to you, O Israel — because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your GOD, O Israel!"

"Behold, HE WHO formed the mountains and creates the wind, and has told man what HIS wish is, WHO turns the morning darkness into daybreak, and treads upon the high places of the earth — HIS NAME is YEHOWAH, GOD OF HOSTS." [Amos (Amus) 4. 5 - 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Recognize WHO is speaking here... this was all from the mouth of the LORD GOD HIMSELF.  Israel refused to accept correction and GOD, by HIS mighty hand brought famine, drought, floods, pestilence, wild beasts, the sword, and other various plagues to try and get the nation’s attention to return to HIM.  The EXALTED ONE said, "take for yourself the implements of a foolish shepherd.  For indeed I will raise up in the land a shepherd who will neither miss the lost [sheep], nor seek the young, the strayed, nor heal those that are broken or injured, nor feed the frail, but will feast on the flesh of their fat ones and tear off their hoofs." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 11. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

"They are a nation void of sense, lacking in all discernment" [Deuteronomy/Devarim 32. 28]; "be assured, O House of Israel, I will judge each of you, every one according to his ways — declares the LORD GOD.  Repent and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.  For why should you die, O House of Israel?  For it is not MY desire that anyone shall die — I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies — says the LORD GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 30 - 32 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The LOVING GOD OF HEAVEN is also today calling and trying to get the attention of America and other countries.  For the past several months, almost all nations have had nothing but tremendously - excessive calamities reported daily in the news.  The extraordinary weather conditions of every kind, multiple murders in the streets and schools, perversions of every sort, outcries from unbridled wickedness in every city, protests and objections, and harsh droughts that are sweeping across the lands which soon will bring in severe famine and deaths just as GOD’S WORD foretold.

Just as the prod directs the ox to plow in a straight line, so too does the HOLY SCRIPTURES guide and prepare one to think and walk in the path of life.  Even after their exodus from Egypt there was immediate disobedience, so GOD led the Jewish people into a harsh, howling desert where they would need to follow HIM completely for their survival.  Yet, after that forty years of wanderings in the wilderness, they continued to rebel thus needing to be chastised time and again to remind them to totally return to the LORD with all their hearts, put away the foreign gods, and prepare their hearts for the LORD, and serve HIM only and HE would deliver them. [see 1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 7. 3]

The SOVEREIGN LORD GOD continues to inquire of the nations, "Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, famine, and pestilence." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 27. 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  "As I live — says the LORD GOD — I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.  Turn, turn from your evil ways!" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 33. 11 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  "Whoever covers his sins will not prosper; whoever confesses and forsakes them will find mercy." [Proverbs (Mishle) 28. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"We then, as workers together with HIM (MESSIAH Y’SHUA) also plead with you not to receive the grace of GOD in vain.  For HE (the BELOVED SAVIOUR) says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.  " Behold! now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." [2 Corinthians 6. 1 - 2]

GOD’S promises are still true today as when HE appeared to Solomon, and said to him: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain; when I command the locusts to ravage and devour the land; or when I send pestilence against MY people, if MY people who bear by MY NAME will humble themselves, pray, and seek MY favor, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 7. 13 - 14Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Repentance is vitally essential for GOD to have mercy on you in the Day of Judgment.  Does the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE have your attention yet?

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!

Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5

Our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly.  Continue to watch and pray, the LORD Messiah Y’SHUA is coming soon to set up HIS RIGHTEOUS Kingdom.  The descendants of HIS servants shall inherit it, and those who love HIS NAME shall dwell in it.

Day 28 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Jewish definitions: Pessimist— Things can't get any worse.   Optimist— Yes! they can get worse, absolutely, they can get much worse.

CONTROLLER OF THE FUTURE
"Thus said King Cyrus of Persia: The LORD GOD OF HEAVEN has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and has charged me with building HIM a House in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.  Any one of you of all HIS people, the LORD his GOD be with him and let him go up." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 36. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Cyrus the great emperor of Persia had been called, even named by GOD, 150 years before he was born. "I am the same WHO says of Cyrus— He is MY shepherd, the king whom I have designated, he shall fulfill all MY purposes! He (Cyrus) shall say of Jerusalem... She shall be rebuilt... and to the Temple— You shall be founded again." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This was at least 175 years before he would fulfill Isaiah's prophecy by giving Ezra authority to rebuild the Temple. [Ezra 1. 1 - 2]

When Cyrus conquered Babylon, the prophet Daniel was there. [Daniel/Danyel 6. 28] The Jewish historian, Josephus, wrote that Daniel actually became Prime Minister under Cyrus and was able to read Isaiah's remarkable prophecy to him, thus influencing him to send the Jews back to Jerusalem.

The GREAT & AWESOME GOD OF ISRAEL is the ETERNAL LORD GOD OF HEAVEN and HE controls the future and can reveal it if HE chooses, using this very fact as proof that HE will keep HIS other promises. "Thus said the LORD to Cyrus, HIS anointed one — whose right hand I have grasped, treading down nations before him, un-girding the loins of kings, I made them helpless, opening doors before him and letting no gate stay shut... For the sake of MY servant Jacob, Israel MY chosen one, I call you (Cyrus) by name, I hail you by title, though you have not known ME." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 1, 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

King Josiah was also named before he was born with the specific prophecy concerning him waiting to be fulfilled for over 300 years after it was first spoken. "O altar, altar! thus said the LORD: A son shall be born to the House of David, Josiah by name; and he shall slaughter upon you the priests of the shrines who bring offerings upon you.  And human bones shall be burned upon you." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 13. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im; see 2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 23. 15 - 16 for the fulfillment of this prophesy.]

Even before MESSIAH came, other Gentile rulers acknowledged CREATOR GOD. Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, once hating GOD, ultimately confessed that HE was "the MOST HIGH" and "KING of Heaven." [Daniel/Danyel 4. 34, 37]  Another was the king of Nineveh and Assyria, who believed in GOD at the preaching of Jonah. And, in the ages to come "the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor" [Revelation 21. 24] to the LORD in the Holy City.

We are encouraged to "Remember the former things of old; for I am GOD, and there is no other; I am GOD, and there is none like ME, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that had not occurred.  I say — MY plan shall be fulfilled; I will do all I have purposed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 46. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  For certain and beyond doubt, the LOVING LORD OMNIPOTENT GOD will do all that HE has said.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5
As we bid farewell to Shabbos, we pray that your heart be filled with GODLY intuition and your words be filled with HIS righteous insights; songs of praise ever be upon your tongue and your vision be on a straight path before you.  May your eyes shine with the light of GOD’S HOLY WORD and your face reflect the brightness of the heavens; and, your lips ever speak wisdom and your fulfillment be in righteousness even as you ever yearn to hear the WORD of the HOLY ONE OF OLD.
Have a blessed week as we lift up our hearts and our hands to GOD in heaven for HIS loving-kindness.  The LORD is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully indebted to YOU, O MERCIFUL GOD.  May we examine our ways, test them, and return to YOU, O MOST HIGH; then you will assuredly be taking some of Sabbath's sweetness with you daily!
Day 28 of L’ Omer   Pesach Sheni [the Second Passover] begins this evening, [Numbers 9:6-14]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

Believing is faith in advance for what only makes sense afterwards.

WHEN THE LORD BUILDS UP ZION

"Arise, shine; For your light has dawned; the PRESENCE (KABOD or GLORY) of the LORD is shone upon you!  Behold! darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but upon you the LORD will arise and shine, and HIS glory will be seen over you.  The Gentiles shall come to your light, kings to the brightness of your rising." [Isaiah (Tehillym) 60. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Prophecies of MESSIAH’S return are being fulfilled around the world these tremendous and thrilling days — things foretold thousands of years ago by the Jewish prophets of GOD.  We can see by what is now happening to my own Jewish people what time it is according to GOD’S calendar…and the return of the MESSIAH OF ISRAEL.  "For the LORD has built Zion; HE has appeared in all HIS glory." [Psalms/Tehillym 102. 16]  The LORD HIMSELF is going to do the building, perhaps using man as the instrument, but it is GOD WHO will accomplish HIS purpose.  The LORD promises that it is HE WHO will build up Zion.

Zion refers not only to the City of Jerusalem, but to those living in that City.  Those who occupied the City of Jerusalem in the days of this prophecy were Jews.  In a spiritual sense, this also refers to both Gentile and Jewish believers in MESSIAH.  However, this verse is speaking of a literal City and a literal people and HIS literal appearance.  There is a day when the LORD will revive the nation of Israel and build her up politically and nationally — but even more so, spiritually.  And, HE will come again and appear in "HIS glory."

Zion is being built up and fulfilled today as recorded in Ezekiel where GOD gave him a vision of a Valley of Dry Bones which were disconnected and scattered everywhere.  Though humanly impossible for the bones to live, the ALMIGHTY ONE told Ezekiel to preach to them: "Prophesy, therefore, and say to them: Thus said the LORD GOD — I am going to open your graves and lift you out of the graves, O MY people, and bring you to the Land of Israel... I will put MY BREATH ("RUWACH"- SPIRIT) into you and you shall live again, and I will set you upon your own soil.  Then you shall know that I the LORD have spoken and have acted  — declares the LORD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 37. 12, 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

At the preaching of the WORD OF GOD, the bones came together; GOD put sinews and flesh on the skeletons making them into bodies but with no life in them.  Then, the BREATH (SPIRIT) came into them and they stood upright and lived… this is the Whole House of Israel who had been dead, who HE would cause to come up out of their graves and from every land where HE had scattered them.

The LIVING FAITHFUL LORD then explained to Ezekiel the meaning of the Valley of Dry Bones: "I am going to take the Israelite people from among the nations they have gone to, and gather them from every quarter, and bring them to THEIR OWN LAND.  I will make them a single nation in the Land, on the hills of Israel, and one KING (MESSIAH Y’SHUA) shall be KING of them all… Then they shall be MY people, and I will be their GOD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 37. 21 - 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Yes! the EVERLASTING GOD, YEHOWAH, the CREATOR of the ends of the earth will revive Israel and put them back in their own land which HE promised to Abraham and will set one KING over them in that day.  "For the LORD will pardon and have mercy on Jacob, and will again choose Israel, and will settle them in their OWN LAND.  And strangers will be joined with them and they will cling to the House of Jacob.  For peoples will take the House of Jacob and bring them to their homeland; and the House of Israel will possess the peoples as slaves and handmaids in the Land of the LORD.  They will take them captive whose captives they were, and rule over their oppressors." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

For nearly two-thousand years our Jewish people have been scattered over the face of the earth — scattered like those bones in Ezekiel’s vision.  We have been exiled from the Land GOD promised to our forefathers: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  The Land had laid desolate and barren, governed by Gentiles just as GOD said it would be.  But no longer, the Land once barren is blossoming as the rose; our Jewish people returning and governing it; resources from the Land are being developed; and through agriculture, the Land is cleared, terraced and cultivated, deserts and swamps reclaimed and rich crops are being grown.

"I am bringing MY righteousness near; it shall not be far off, and MY salvation shall not be delayed.  I will grant triumph in Zion, to Israel, in whom I glory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 46. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  There is a revival of Land as well as of the people of Zion.  They are being revived politically and nationally — but most important — our Jewish people are being revived spiritually.  GOD is giving them the very breath of spiritual life — that life that can come only through faith in the PROMISED ONE OF GOD.

Many of our Jewish people are receiving the LORD Y”SHUA as their long-awaited MESSIAH, their Soon-Coming KING.  They are coming out of their graves of spiritual death and receiving life… becoming "completed Jews" by accepting the fulfillment of all the prophecies in their own HEBREW SCRIPTURES concerning their MESSIAH.  They are recognizing that JESUS is THE ONE WHO was promised by GOD to come to Israel WHO will be their REIGNING KING in Zion.  GOD promised that ONE KING will rule in that Day when Zion would be built up.  Will you be one of HIS people now?  Will you let this KING rule in your life now and when HE comes?  HE is coming soon!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!

Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5

Come my friend out to meet Sabbath, Queen of the week!  Sabbath of Emor – “Say” [Reading: Leviticus 21:1 - 24:23; Ezekiel 44:15-31; Matthew 26:59-66]

GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile.  Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when woe bends my spirit.  Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU.  Help me to be strong in trials and temptations and to be humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER.  Guide me by the LIGHT of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU — my ROCK and my REDEEMER.  Praised be the LORD GOD ETERNAL to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. Amen

Keep KING Y’SHUA the center of your focus, not only on Shabbat, but every day.

Day 27 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

Some people think that "original sin" is a sin that no one has thought of before.

BLINDNESS OF ISRAEL

"What then?  Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.  Just as it is written — YEHOWAH has given them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.  And David says — Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a recompense to them.  Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always." [Romans 11. 7 – 10]

Regarding Israel's blindness, Moses wrote: "To this day YEHOWAH has not given you a mind to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 3 Tanakh, Torah]  The blindness of Israel toward GOD ALMIGHTY is one of the saddest aspects of our world today as well.  Even Orthodox Jews, who strongly affirm their belief in the OLD TESTAMENT passages, are seemingly unable to see what the HOLY WRITTEN SCRIPTURES clearly show, that the MESSIAH REDEEMER already came and left.

In the First Book of the TORAH, Moses wrote:  "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a ruler's staff from between HIS feet, until SHILOH comes; and the homage of peoples be HIS." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  Ancient Jewish commentators agree that "Shiloh" (another title of MESSIAH — also, a location where the Tabernacle was first located, which represented the PRESENCE OF GOD) means "the exact image and reflection of GOD."  This very fact should prove to modern Jewish expositors that MESSIAH has already come, for the scepter (the symbol of national leadership) did depart from Judah, and that happened shortly after Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE was crucified.

King David was the first descendant of Judah to attain the scepter of leadership among the tribes of Israel.  The Divine Promises were clear that the MESSIAH would be of David's descendants.  That the LORD JESUS' legal father, Joseph, and HIS human mother, Miryam (Mary) were both in the lineage of David is shown in the genealogies of Matthew 1:1-17 and Luke 3:23-38, respectively.  Both ancestry (Joseph's in Matthew; Miryam's in Luke) were written when the genealogical records were still intact in the Temple in Jerusalem.  At that time, no one ever questioned their validity even with intense opposition by the Jews to the claims of MESSIAH Y’SHUA and HIS disciples that HE is indeed the ANOINTED REDEEMER OF ISRAEL.

In 70 AD the records and the Temple were totally destroyed so that no later claimant to the title could prove his right to the throne.  GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, had come in the flesh, and was brutally slain, so the scepter departed from Judah until the RIGHTEOUS ONE, the LORD JESUS, comes again.  It is certain that JESUS OF NAZARETH undeniably was the Jew's PROMISED MESSIAH, and we should pray that GOD will soon open their eyes to see and believe.

May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL return soon, and in our time. . . we are longing to see our KING ETERNAL!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!

Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5

In Genesis 48:22, Jacob says that he captured the city of Shechem with his “sword and bow.”  The commentators explain that “sword and bow” actually refers to two types of prayers; hence Jacob is saying that he was able to accomplish with his verbal expression the same as Esau did with his sword [Genesis 27:40] or Ishmael could with his bow. [Genesis 21:20]  There are many things in life that we wish we had.  But if we were to attain them, would it make us better people, or would it corrupt us?  How many stories do we know of people who used to be great and kind, but as soon as they became wealthy, transformed into nasty and selfish beings?

Day 26 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One cannot despair when they know GOD'S loving mercy!

LIFE IN THE SCRIPTURES

"The LAW of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure (certain), making the simple wise.  The STATUTES of the LORD are just, rejoicing the heart.  The INSTRUCTION of the LORD is perfect and pure, making the eyes light up.  The FEAR of the LORD is trustworthy, abiding forever; the JUDGMENTS of the LORD are true, righteous altogether, more desirable than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter than honey, than drippings of the comb." [Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 7 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

What a great tragedy that so little time is spent in the wonderful WORD OF THE LORD by most who call themselves "CHRISTians or Christ-like-ones."  It is such a necessary food for health and joy in our spiritual lives, as well as the physical.  "The sincere milk of the WORD" is for newborn babes [1 Peter 2. 2]; and it is the "strong meat" for those who are "skillful in the WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS." [Hebrews 5. 12 – 13]  "How pleasing is YOUR WORD to my palate, sweeter than honey" [Psalms/Tehillym 119. 103] and "man may live on anything that the LORD decrees." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 3 Tanakh, Torah]  The ETERNALLY RIGHTEOUS LORD is not only the "GIVER OF LIFE'S BREAD" — HE is "THE BREAD."  For every LIFE-GIVING WORD that proceeds out of HIS mouth is the EXTRAORDINARY BREAD by which man lives.

The HOLY SCRIPTURES are the basis for salvation [2 Timothy 3. 15; 1 Peter 1. 23], but also for sanctification and day-to-day cleansing.  "That HE (MESSIAH) might sanctify and cleanse her (the Church) with the washing of water by the WORD." [Ephesians 5. 26]

For those who will use their directions, the HOLY SCRIPTURES also provide daily guidance.  "YOUR WORD is a LAMP to my feet, a LIGHT for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Every blood-bought saint must be a seed-sowing witness for the LORD Y’SHUA, and "the SEED is the WORD OF GOD." [Luke 8. 11]  The only offensive weapon in the CHRISTian's armor is "the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD" [Ephesians 6. 17], and this assures a victorious life and testimony for the one who uses it.

"The works of the LORD are great, within reach of all who desire them" [Psalms/Tehillym 111. 2] — is the wonderful testimony of King David in the OLD COVENANT.  This is comparable to the great declaration of the Apostle Paul in the NEW COVENANT:  "The HOLY SCRIPTURES are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in the LORD JESUS CHRIST." [2 Timothy 3. 15]  "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD.  It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3. 16]

Something better than salvation, is to have fellowship with the ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY LORD GOD WHO saved us.  And, fellowship with GOD is equal with HIS mercy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!

Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.” Psalms 137:5

May yours be the sweetest of days as you praise and worship our WONDROUS SAVIOR.  Let the precious name of the LORD be blessed from this time forth and for evermore.

Day 25 of L’ Omer

SINS OF THE NATION
"We have offended YOU by not keeping the commandments, the Laws, nor the rules that YOU gave to YOUR servant Moses." [Nehemiah (Nechemah) 1. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Nehemiah had a great burden for his nation, Israel, and although he himself had not been guilty of their sins, he willingly confess their sins as his own, if ALMIGHTY GOD would only restore them to the Promised Land.

The same heart was found in Ezra — "O my GOD, I am ashamed and mortified to lift my face to YOU, O my GOD, for our iniquities are overwhelmingly over our head and our guilt has grown high as heaven." [Ezra 9. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   Daniel also prayed for his Jewish people in fasting, in sackcloth, and ashes identifying himself with their sins.  "We have sinned; we have gone astray; we have acted wickedly; we have been rebellious and have deviated from YOUR commandments and YOUR rules.  O LORD hear  O LORD, forgive!  O LORD listen, and act without delay for YOUR OWN sake, O my GOD; for YOUR NAME is attached to YOUR City and YOUR people." [Daniel (Danyel) 9. 5, 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Our LOVING OMNIPOTENT GOD heard their prayers and promised long ago, "When MY people, who bear MY NAME, humble themselves, pray, and seek MY favour and turn from their evil ways, I will hear in MY heavenly abode and forgive their sins and heal their land." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 7. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Today, all the lands of every nation are in need of healing.  The GREAT GOD ETERNAL desires HIS people to confess as their own, the sins of their people, as we are partly responsible because of our past indifference, merely criticizing instead of praying.  Then perhaps the HOLY ONE will hear as HE heard the prayers of Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah.

The Apostle Paul felt the same burden in his day, "For I could wish that I myself were accursed from CHRIST for my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh." [Romans 9. 3]   Others identified themselves with the sin of their people along with Ezra and Paul.  But, the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH went far beyond even that, HE not only identified HIMSELF with us in our lost sinful state, but also "bore our sins in HIS OWN BODY on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness." [1 Peter 2. 24]   We can never thank HIM enough for all the great goodness Y’SHUA the BELOVED ONE has shown to us!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
May we live as willingly for Y’SHUA, the REDEEMER as HE was willing to joyfully laying down HIS life for us!  May peace abound in your life as you grow in HIS wisdom and favor.
Day 24 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Exercise grace on others by imparting a blessing on them.

JUDGMENT IS COMING
"Each of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 12]

One absolute truth that is sure to happen to every person. . . everyone will stand before the GREAT LORD GOD of the universe someday.  Even death is not a certainty for everyone, such as in the case of Enoch who walked with GOD and GOD took him [Genesis/Bereshith 5. 24], Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 2. 11], or for the saints that will be caught up [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]; nevertheless, meeting GOD for an accounting of one’s life is certain!  "They will give an account to HIM WHO is ready to judge the living and the dead." [1 Peter 4. 5]

Just as the Prophet Amos warned, "Prepare to meet your GOD, O Israel!" [Amos (Amus) 4. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  "It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27]  And, "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD." [Romans 14. 11]

For the true CHRISTian believer, however, there is no need to fear hell for "there is therefore now no condemnation (judgment) to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT.  For the Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the Law of sin and death." [Romans 8. 1 - 2]

For the shed blood of Y’SHUA THE REDEEMER paid for our sins and purchased our redemption.  "It was our sickness that HE was bearing, our suffering that HE endured.  We accounted HIM stricken, smitten and afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded because of our sins, HE was crushed because of our iniquities.  The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM, and by HIS stripes we were healed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  The FAITHFUL & TRUE ONE "was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification." [Romans 4. 25]

Still, all "must appear before the Judgment Seat of CHRIST [2 Corinthians  5. 10], where "the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.  If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians  3. 13 - 15]

However, those who die in unbelief, not having trusted in MESSIAH Y’SHUA as their personal SAVIOR, will face the RIGHTEOUS, HOLY & AWESOME GOD with a different verdict.  John the Apostle describes this fearful scene: "Then I saw a Great White Throne and HIM WHO sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away.  And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before GOD, and BOOKS were opened.  And another BOOK was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE.  And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the BOOKS." [Revelation  20. 11 - 12]  No one can be saved by their works, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD — not of works — lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians  2. 9]  Consequently, "anyone not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 15]

GOD, the MOST HIGH confirmed, "the just shall live by faith." [Habakkuk 2. 4; Romans 1. 17; Galatians 3. 11; Hebrews 10. 38]  Judgment is certain.  Turn to the LORD that you may receive the blessings the ALMIGHTY ONE has prepared for those who love HIM.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
I praise and thank YOU, ALMIGHTY ONE, for YOU comfort and delight my soul.  YOU are my ROCK  and my REFUGE, in YOU I have hope and place my trust.
Day 23 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.

GOD'S SON
"WHO has ascended heaven or come down?  WHO has gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand?  WHO has wrapped the waters in HIS garment?  WHO has established all the extremities of the earth?  What is HIS NAME, and what is HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We know the answer to this first question, it is ALMIGHTY GOD, MASTER CREATOR of everything.  But "WHO" has ascended up into heaven or descended from there?  In these verses, HE is called GOD'S SON!  There is only ONE WHO came down to this earth from heaven and WHO has ascended back into heaven!  This was foretold by the ETERNAL LORD GOD through HIS prophets as coming again.  As is written the SON OF GOD is the ONE WHO will be returning from heaven.

"As I looked on in the night vision, ONE like the SON OF MAN came with the clouds of heaven!...and to HIM was presented dominion, glory and kingship; that all peoples, and nations of every language must serve HIM.  HIS dominion is an EVERLASTING DOMINION that shall not pass away, and HIS Kingdom, one that shall not be destroyed." [Daniel (Danyel) 7. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Y’SHUA, the MESSIAH-KING is called "THE SON OF MAN."  HE had been on earth as a part of humanity, yet here HE is in heaven and returning to earth to receive an Everlasting Kingdom!

Two thousand years ago there was an announcement by the angel to the shepherds keeping watch over their flock at night.  The great and wonderful day had arrived for fulfillment of THE INCARNATION as the HOLY ONE of old had foretold through HIS prophets: "For there is born to you this day in the City of David a SAVIOR, WHO is CHRIST THE LORD." [Luke 2. 11]

The angel was declaring that this CHILD WHO was born in Bethlehem, the City of David, is the PROMISED SON OF GOD, THE SON OF MAN, IMMANU'EL, GOD-with-us, the ALMIGHTY GOD manifest in the flesh!  This CHILD was born as a human being, yet HE is called "THE MESSIAH YEHOWAH" by the angel who announced HIS birth to the shepherds.  OMNIPOTENT CREATOR GOD came to earth and was manifested in flesh to dwell among HIS people, Israel, just as HE had promised!

The HOLY ONE, GOD HIMSELF, blessed be HE, declared it and we are saved if we believe it!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
May you have a heart to know YEHOWAH, that HE is the LORD of your life; oh, return to HIM with your whole heart.  May each of you be delivered from trouble and harm, or strengthened through it.  Heal us O LORD, make us righteous in YOUR sight.  May the message of GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD and the love of YESHUA ha’MASHIACH the SAVIOR bless you and bubble-up in your heart to overflowing. Amen
Beloved brethren, we encourage you to stand firm and confident in the LORD Y’SHUA.  May you be filled with HIS wisdom, knowledge, righteous discernment, and boldness especially as we go forth in the battle against the enemies of our saving faith.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The issue is not what is believed or what is practiced — Jew and Gentile alike will be judged by how well they followed ALMIGHTY GOD'S commands.

MESSIAH REVEALED TO ISRAEL
From HOLY SCRIPTURE, we can see that when the nations of the world center their attack on the Jewish people in Jerusalem, the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH will return to earth to defend Israel against her enemies for the last time.  HE will reveal HIMSELF to those who had been blinded as to HIS MESSIAH-ship.   Y’SHUA will identify HIMSELF as the "LORD OF GLORY" through the marks of the wounds in HIS hands and HIS feet, HE will forgive those who repent of their sin.   Also, the RIGHTEOUS ONE will judge the nations who mistreated Israel, and HE will establish HIS Kingdom on the Restored Earth with all HIS saints (both Jews & Gentiles), and rule and reign forever!  Even so, "come quickly, LORD JESUS!"

"For I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for war; the city shall be captured, the houses plundered, and the women violated; and a part of the City shall go into exile.  But the remnant of the people shall not be uprooted from the City...Then the LORD will come forth and make war on those nations as HE fights in the day of battle.  On that day, HE will set HIS feet on the Mount of Olives, near Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall split across from east to west making a very large gorge.  Half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.  Thus the LORD my GOD will come and all the saints will come with HIM.  And the LORD shall be KING over all the earth.  In that day the LORD alone shall be worshipped and shall be invoked by HIS TRUE NAME." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 2, 4 - 5b, 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"In that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come up against Jerusalem.  But I will fill on the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem with the SPIRIT OF GRACE & COMPASSION; then they will look on ME WHOM they have pierced and lament because of ME about those who are slain, wailing over them as one mourns over his favorite son, and showing bitter grief as over a firstborn.  In that day the great wailing in Jerusalem shall be as great as the wailing at Hadad-Rimmon in the Plain of Megiddo." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 9 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]    {Hadad-Rimmon means "mighty of the pomegranates" it is a place in the Valley of Megiddo where a national lamentation was held for the death of King Josiah.}

"In that day a fountain shall be open to the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for purging and for cleansing.  In that day, too — declares the LORD OF HOSTS — I will cut off the very names of the idols from the land; they shall not be uttered any more.  And I will also make the prophets and the unclean spirits vanish from the land.  If anyone prophesies thereafter, his own father and mother, who brought him into the world, will say to him, "You shall die, for you have lied in the NAME OF THE LORD" — and his own father and mother, who brought him into the world, will put him to death when he prophesies.  In that day, every prophet will be ashamed of the visions he had when he prophesied nor will they wear a hairy mantle (emulating Elijah) in order to deceive.  He will declare — I am not a prophet, I was addicted to wine like Noah, the tiller of the soil, hence my hallucinations and ravings. And one shall ask— What are those wounds on YOUR back and in YOUR hands?  HE will reply— From being beaten in the house of MY friends." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 13. 1 - 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The promise of salvation the MOST HOLY LORD GOD made to the remnant of Israel will be fulfilled just as HE declared: "And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The DELIVERER will come out of Zion, and HE will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is MY covenant with them when I take away their sins." [Romans 11. 26 - 27]   "HE WHO testifies to these things says — Surely I am coming quickly." [Revelation 22. 20]   Even so, come quickly LORD JESUS!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! Sabbath of Kedoshim – “Holy” [Reading: Leviticus 19:1 - 20:27; Amos 9:7-15; Mark 12:28-34]
We bow the head and bend the knee and magnify the KING of kings, WHO gave HIS life to redeem us from all our sins, blessed and praised be HE. Amen!
By saturating every area of life with purpose and holiness we will never burnout.
Baruch Attah ADONI...ELEHENU MELECH ha Olam — "Blessed is the LORD our GOD...KING of the Universe
Asher natan lanu et DERECH ha'Y’SHUA — WHO brings us THE WAY OF SALVATION.

ba'MACHIACH Y’SHUA. — By the CHRIST, JESUS (Holy Anointed One).
Baruch HU! — Blessed is HE!"
Day 20 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 2 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Fri 10 May 2019, 3:01 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night.  You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give HIM no rest till HE establishes and till HE makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." Isaiah/Yeshayah 62:6-7

ISRAEL’S INDEPENDENCE DAY — YOM HA’ATZMA’UT
"Can a land give birth in a single day?  Or shall a nation be born all at once?  Yet Zion travailed and at once bore her children!  Shall I WHO bring on labor not bring about birth? — says the LORD.  Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb? — says your GOD.  Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all you who love her!  Join in her jubilation, all you who mourn over her — that you may suck from her breast consolation to the fill, that you may drink deeply from her bosom and be delighted with the abundance of her glory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 8 – 11 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Command to Settle the Land of Israel: On 5 Iyar 5708 (May 14, 1948 on the Gregorian Calendar), when the establishment of the State of Israel was declared, the Nation of Israel merited to fulfill the TORAH’S command to settle the Land of Promise.  Individual Jews lived in the Land prior to this, it is true, but the commandment applies to the entire nation, which is bidden to bring the Land under Jewish sovereignty. [see Deuteronomy/Devarim 11 & 31; Numbers/Midbar 33 & 53; & Nachmanides’ Commentary]   Jewish Law, in fact, rules that the obligation to mourn destroyed cities in the Land of Israel is dependent on Jewish sovereignty.

The Beginning of Redemption & Sanctification of GOD’S NAME: The establishment of the State of Israel removed the disgrace of Exile.  For generation after generation, we wandered in the Diaspora, we suffered terrible humiliation and pogroms, we were a subject of mockery among the nations, and we were subject to mass slaughter.

Observers saw us and said there was no hope for us.  This was a situation of terrible — desecration of GOD'S NAME — for "you (Israel) are called by GOD'S NAME." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 28]

GOD'S HOLY WORD, as prophesied in so many places in the HOLY WORD, was that HE would return us to the Land.  But with the passing of so many centuries in which this was not fulfilled, the desecration of GOD'S NAME increased, and Israel's enemies concluded that Israel would never return.   And then the miracle happened [May 14, 1948], and GOD'S WORD was fulfilled.  This was a great sanctification of GOD'S NAME, and it became even stronger during the Six Day War when we liberated Jerusalem and the holy cities in Judea and Samaria.

This process of the Ingathering of the Exiles and the flowering of the desert is the beginning of the promised Redemption.  As the Talmud states, "There is no clearer sign of the Redemption than this, as is written in the Book of Ezekiel — "But you, O mountains of Israel, shall yield your produce and bear your fruit for MY people Israel, for their return is near." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 36. 8 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Yes, there is still much to improve and put right; unfortunately, we have not all merited to do teshuvah [return, repentance] and move to the Land of Israel.  But our Sages have taught that there are two types of Redemption — full repentance leading to miraculous Redemption, and the type that takes place through natural processes, accompanied by great difficulties and hardships.  These will cause the Jewish People to return home — and thus we will progress, step by step, until the Complete Redemption.

Jewish Salvation: On Independence Day 1948, the Jewish Nation was saved.  It went from a state of subservience to the nations, to one of political freedom.  We also went from a situation of potential death, in that we were unable to defend ourselves from our mortal enemies, to one of life, because since that time we have fought our enemies and, with the help of ALMIGHTY GOD, emerged victorious.

Some 21,000 Jews have been killed in the 60 years since the State was established — but just a few years before that, during the Holocaust, six million holy Jews were murdered over the course of just five years — a rate of nearly 3,500 times more.

This day was a salvation even for Jews living in the Diaspora, in that they now had a country that would always be able to take them in, and even works on their behalf in the international arena.  Even the Communist regimes were forced to allow Jews to leave — something that would have been inconceivable before the State of Israel was established.

Spiritual Relief: Spiritually, as well, the Jewish People were saved by the State of Israel. For various reasons, a great spiritual crisis overtook the Jewish People over the past 200 years, and as countries modernized, the Jews became more assimilated.  In the United States, for instance, most young Jews marry non-Jews, and those who marry Jews have relatively few children.  The Jewish communities abroad are thus getting smaller and smaller.  Only in the State of Israel is the Jewish population growing, and assimilation is relatively sparse.

Furthermore, the percentage of Jews in Israel who are connected to TORAH and an observant lifestyle is larger than in any other Jewish concentration in the world.  This spiritual salvation was the result of the establishment of the State of Israel, which enabled the Ingathering of the Exiles and obviated the lures of world-wide assimilation.

Thus, Israel Independence Day (Yom Ha’Atzma’ut - observed 4 Iyar 5779) is thus decorated with three layers of holiness: the Holiness of the Commandment of settling the Land; the Holiness of the Sanctification of GOD'S NAME and the beginning of the Redemption; and the Holiness of the Physical & Spiritual Salvation of the Jewish People and blessings to the whole world when they turn to MESSIAH Y’SHUA.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Happy 71st Birthday, Israel!  Remembering Yom ha'Atzma’ut, Israel’s Independence Day — Israel’s unique determination, tough resistance, courage and integrity and ingenuity.  Though nominally celebrated on the 4th day of Iyar (ה' באייר) in the Hebrew calendar (corresponding to May 9 this year) — the anniversary of the day in which Israel Independence was proclaimed, when David Ben-Gurion publicly read the Israeli Declaration of Independence.  Yom ha'Atzma’ut centers around the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel on the 14th of May 1948.  Our hope is not yet lost — to be a free nation in our own land.
The special prayer for Independence Day begins with Psalm 107, in which we say, “Hodu la’ha’Shem — Give thanks to GOD for HE is good, HIS kindness is everlasting.”  The Psalm lists those who must give this thanks — “those who are redeemed by GOD, those whom HE has redeemed from enemies, and gathered them from different lands, from east and west, north and south.”
Obedience will be righteousness for us, as we are careful to observe all the commandments of the LORD our GOD.  May you witness the care, love and presence of the MOST HOLY ONE this day and always.  Celebrating the gaiety and festivities of Israel’s 71st Independence Day…Yom ha’Atzma’ut, the land we love.
Israel represents the greatest national success story of all time.  Despite external threats and terror, we remain a democratic oasis in a regional cauldron of barbarism, providing the right to vote to all citizens and guaranteeing genuine freedom of religion and freedom of expression.  Our success defies rationality and by any benchmark must be deemed miraculous.  Today, on 71st Anniversary we should give thanks to the ALMIGHTY for enabling us to be the blessed Jewish generation, privileged to live in freedom in our resurrected ancient homeland.  We should continually remind ourselves that our success defies rationality and by any benchmark must be deemed miraculous.
Omer Day 19

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Why worry about tomorrow when it is not promised to you.

THE NEW COVENANT
My Jewish people, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob gave promises to our fathers that will surely come to pass even as HE said.  We see in the BIBLE that all the Covenants were made by GOD with Israel.  It is written in the WORD OF GOD and the WORD OF GOD does not lie!  GOD inspired the Jewish apostle Paul to write the following statements: "[Israelites] to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of GOD, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, CHRIST came, who is over all, the eternally blessed GOD. Amen" [Romans 9. 4 - 5]

Yes, the news of ONLY LIVING & TRUE GOD WHO made us and all things, was preached by Jews.  The Book they carried with them was really a Jewish Book, for both OLD & NEW COVENANTS were written by Jews as GOD anointed them to do.  GOD made ALL the Covenants with Israel, just as was written.

GOD OMNIPOTENT declared that the FIRST COVENANT had grown old, however, and because it did not meet the needs of Israel, HE promised HE would make a NEW COVENANT with them.  HE said that this NEW COVENANT would not be the same because the FIRST COVENANT was for the outward man: This NEW ONE would be with the inward man.  The GOD OF JACOB said also that this NEW COVENANT would give a knowledge of the LORD to every one who would receive it, as the following SCRIPTURE expresses:

"Behold, the days are coming — declares the LORD — when I will make a new covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah.  It will not be according to the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, MY covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them — declares the LORD.  But this is the covenant that I will make with the House of Israel after those days — declares the LORD: I will put My Law in their minds, and inscribe it on their hearts.  Then I will be their GOD, and they shall be My people.  No longer will they need to teach one another, and every man his brother saying, "Know the LORD" — for all of them, from the least of them to the greatest, shall know ME — declares the LORD.  For I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 31 - 34 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

From studying SCRIPTURES, we know that there is coming a day when this NEW COVENANT with Israel will come to pass literally, for GOD keeps HIS Covenants.  Once more, Israel will be a nation knowing the LORD in her heart.  My people do not know HIM this way now, but one day it will be fulfilled in history.  That day will be when the MESSIAH comes and our Jewish people as a nation will acknowledge their offenses against GOD’S ANOINTED ONE. This will happen when they see the nail prints in HIS hands and mourn because of HIM as for an only son knowing now it was Y’SHUA WHO was their MESSIAH-PRIEST-KING all the time, but they had refused HIM.  Zechariah, the Jewish prophet tells of this:

"And I will fill the House of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem with a spirit of grace and compassion; then they will look on ME WHOM they pierced. Yes, they will lament because of ME for those who are slain, wailing over them as over a favorite son." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 10 Tanakh, Nevi’im]
"In that day a fountain shall be opened for the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. And if one asks of him, "What are those wounds on YOUR back?" he will answer, "From being beaten in the house of my friends."  Then the LORD will go forth and make war on those nations, as HE fights in the day of battle.  And IN THAT DAY HIS FEET WILL STAND ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, near Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall split across from east to west, making a very large gorge; one part of the Mount of Olives shall shift to the north and the other shall move toward the south." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 13. 1, 6; 14. 3 - 4 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Now these prophecies and the NEW COVENANT will be fulfilled in history to Israel as a nation — but to the Jewish person the NEW COVENANT is fulfilled individually the moment he received Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH into his heart as LORD & SAVIOR.  For JESUS is the PROMISED ONE OF GOD, the REDEEMER WHO has already come the first time fulfilling the FIRST COVENANT and established the NEW COVENANT for everyone, Jew and Gentile, who will believe on HIS NAME.

The LORD Y’SHUA did not come to bring a new religion but to fulfill the prophesied SCRIPTURES of the FIRST COVENANT.  The NEW COVENANT is not a new book but is the continuation of the FIRST.  What is hidden in the OLD is revealed in the NEW.  When a Jewish person accepts Y’SHUA as his MESSIAH and SAVIOR, he does not renounce the Jewish faith, but accepts the fulfillment of it and becomes a TRUE JEW!  HE comes into his own faith and is completed in MESSIAH.  He becomes a completed Jew.  He has accepted what belongs to him by GOD’S COVENANT with his fathers.  The first CHRISTian church was composed of Jewish believers (at Peter’s preaching, 3,000 believed in one day, Acts 2:41).  According to a record in history, there were 25,000 Jews who recognized Y’SHUA as their MESSIAH a short time after Pentecost (Shavuoth) 2,000 years ago.

Y’SHUA, WHO was a good Jew according to GOD’S promise of the MESSIAH’S genealogy, does not expect any Jew to change the fact that he is Jewish, but wants every Jew to come into living touch with ALMIGHTY GOD, to love HIM with all their heart.  We Jews who believe in MESSIAH Y’SHUA, do not look upon CHRISTianity as another religion, but we look on it as the completion of the faith of our forefathers.  We are more Jewish now then ever before we accepted Y’SHUA.  We Jewish believers know and love the SCRIPTURES of the FIRST COVENANT (the TANAKH) more now than ever before!  We know the meaning of the holidays and customs of our Jewish people in the BIBLE now where before our faith in JESUS we were blind and uninformed.  We have been brought to a greater sympathy and understanding and also a greater love for Israel.  We now have a deep impression on our hearts, put there by GOD HIMSELF to pray for our own Jewish people everywhere that they see the LIGHT and come into the NEW COVENANT as we have  We do not deny our heritage, we are the natural descendants of Abraham through Isaac — not only are we Jewish by decent — but TRUE Jews, sons of GOD’S promise, for we have come into HIS NEW COVENANT; we believe in Y’SHUA as our MESSIAH, our soon-coming KING.

We encourage you, our fellow members of the tribes and all who read this message of GOOD NEWS, to seek the LORD while HE may still be found.  HE is near and waiting for you!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
“If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
For all of us, daily life sometimes seems to be an obstacle course filled with rocks and thorns.  But, when GOD'S PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD is in the center of our life, we find sweet honey in the ROCK.

Have a blessed day as you saturate yourself in the sweetness of the ALMIGHTY ONE, the SOURCE OF LIFE; and find complete tranquility and harmony as you bask in the LORD’S glorious, amazing, inspiring, irreplaceable presence.
Day 17 of L’ Omer

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Let us remember to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but model that peace in our own lives.

ISRAEL FORGIVEN & DEFENDED
"For I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for war:  The City shall be captured, the houses plundered, and the women violated; and part of the city shall go into exile.  But the rest of the population shall not be uprooted from the City (Jerusalem).  On that day, HE (MESSIAH Y’SHUA) will set HIS feet on the Mount of Olives, near Jerusalem on the East; and the Mount of Olives shall split across from east to west, and one part of the Mount shall shift to the north and the other to the south, a huge gorge...And the LORD my GOD, with all the holy beings, will come to you (Jerusalem).  And the LORD shall be KING over all the earth; in that day there shall be one LORD with ONE NAME; the LORD alone shall be worshipped (and shall be invoked by HIS TRUE NAME)." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 2, 4, 5-b, 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"In that day I will all but annihilate all the nations that came up against Jerusalem.  But I will fill the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem with a SPIRIT of pity and compassion; and they will look on ME WHOM they have pierced; they shall lament BECAUSE [see Revelation 1. 7] of ME about those who are slain, wailing over them as over a favorite son and showing bitter grief as over a first-born.  In that day, the wailing in Jerusalem shall be as great as the wailing at Hadad-Rimmon in the plain of Megiddon." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 9 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"In that day a fountain shall be opened to the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for purging and cleansing.  And when one asked — What are those sores and wounds on YOUR back? — HE will reply — From being beaten in the house of MY friends." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 13. 1, 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the nations of the world center their attack on the Jews at Jerusalem, the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS will return to earth to defend Israel against her enemies for the last time, "Like birds flying about, so will the LORD OF HOSTS defend Jerusalem.  Defending, HE will also deliver it; Passing Over, HE will preserve it." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 31. 5 NKJV]  "Like the birds that fly, even so will the LORD OF HOSTS shield Jerusalem, shielding and saving, protecting and rescuing." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 31. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  This will be literally fulfilled when the TRUE VINE returns as KING of kings and LORD of lords with the armies of heaven as described in Revelation. [see Revelation 19. 11 - 16]

The LONG-AWAITED LORD Y’SHUA will reveal HIMSELF to these Jews who had been blinded as to HIS MESSIAH-SHIP.  The REDEEMER will identify HIMSELF as the "LORD OF GLORY" through the marks of the wounds in HIS hands and HIS feet.  JESUS, the  CHRIST OF CALVARY will forgive those who repent of their sin; HE will judge the nations who mistreated Israel;  HE will establish HIS Kingdom on the earth with all HIS saints (Jew & Gentile from every tribe, tongue and nation), to rule and reign forever!   Even so, come quickly, my LORD & KING!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
We have a MIGHTY AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the Throne ruling over the affairs of men.  HE is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult times.
Welcoming Rosh Chodesh – the new moon of Iyar, Day 1
Day 15 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A miracle is often the willingness to see the uncommon in an uncommon way.

TRUTH OR WIND
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, remain loyal and feed on HIS faithfulness." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This is one of many blessed promises in HOLY SCRIPTURE that the LORD GOD will provide our every need. [Matthew 6. 33]  The last part of the verse could best be stated, "you shall be fed on the truth."  The spiritual life of the person who trusts in the LORD Y’SHUA will be fed and sustained by TRUTH.

The unbeliever who feeds on fantasy, figments and fragments of their own imagination, the ones "who would fashion a god or cast a graven image that can do no good (he) will soon taste bitterness on his tongue.  He feeds on ashes; a deluded mind and deceived heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver his soul to save himself.  He never says to himself — The thing in my hand is a fraud!" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44. 10, 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Those who trust in human deliverance will be like Israel depending on Egypt and Assyria.  "Ephraim surrounds ME with deceit and feeds on wind, the House of Israel with guile and follows after the east wind; they daily increase lies and desolation which is constantly noted by the LORD." [Hosea (Hoshea) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  The diet of false prophets is more bitter still, "Assuredly, thus said the LORD OF HOSTS concerning the prophets: I am going to make them eat wormwood and drink the water of bitter gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem GOD-lessness has gone forth to the whole land." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   Wind and ashes, wormwood and gall, such is the spiritual food of those who reject the TRUTH of the WORD OF GOD.

For the believer, the GOOD NEWS of the WRITTEN WORD is as essential a daily need as bread is for the body.  Long ago, Job set precedence when he said — "I have treasured HIS WORDS more than my daily bread." [Job (Iyob) 23. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   "How pleasing are YOUR words to my taste, sweeter than honey.  Through pondering YOUR precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 103 - 104 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Moses declared, "The LORD GOD subjected you to the hardship of hunger and then gave you manna to eat, which neither you nor your fathers had ever know, in order to teach you that man does not live on bread alone, but that man may live on anything that the LORD decrees." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 3 Tanakh, Torah]

The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, "If anyone keeps MY WORD, he shall never taste death." [John 8. 52]   "I have come that you may have life…more abundantly." [John 10. 10]   "I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE." [John 14. 6]   When we know the TRUTH, we will know the MERCIFUL, ETERNAL, LOVING MASTER!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Praises to YOU LORD, our KING, our GREAT GOD & GOD of our fathers, may our lives be a continual act of worship to YOU.  Teach us to be satisfied with the gifts of YOUR goodness and gratefully rejoice in YOUR many mercies to us.  Purify our hearts, make us zealous for YOUR Law that we may serve YOU in truth that brings rest and joy, peace and comfort throughout every generation.  Guard our mouth that YOUR NAME be kept holy.  May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable to YOU, O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER.  Amen!
Day 16 of L’ Omer, Day 2 of Rosh Chodesh, the new moon of Iyar

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who does not punish evil commands it to be done. [Leonardo Deviancy] To love mankind is easy; to love man is hard. We need adversity, not for the suffering it brings, but for the growth and deepened perspective that comes from it.

YOM HA'SHO’AH
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing." [1 Corinthians 13. 1 - 3]

A reflection as we remember and observe Holocaust Day of Memorial — may the ALMIGHTY ONE, blessed be HE, remember forever our brothers and sisters of the House of Israel who gave their lives for the sanctification of the DIVINE NAME.

IN HIS NAME
He wore the yellow star upon his arm
and heard the ugly taunts as he walked along.
The words he heard burned deep within his soul
as the burden of being Jewish took its toll.
His eyes reflected a sad and somber hue
as he wondered if any of these angry faces knew
that he was flesh and blood, a man like them
with fears and hopes and dreams. . . "O Jerusalem!"
His mind returned to the dream of a Jewish home
a fleeting thought...a longing no more to roam —
but his mind was quickly brought back to the present
by the ugly taunts of a group of adolescents.
The badge upon his arm, a badge of shame
forced upon the Jew to him profane,
yet little did they know that deep inside
that Star of David held for him much pride.
There was a glint of knowledge in his eye
his noble heritage passed on by the Rabbi. . .
his line had boasted prophets, scribes and kings
and through the Jew, GOD would MESSIAH bring.
It was they who were chosen above all races
to transcribe HIS HOLY WRIT in sacred places.
In this his race was faithful, they’d been true
GOD'S knowledge and HIS WORD came through the Jew.
It was Moses who, to GOD, talked face to face
and HIS Laws were passed to man by the Jewish race.
So even though his back was bowed and bent,
and even though taunts followed where 'ere he went,
his spirit, deep within, was whole and strong
for to GOD'S chosen race he did belong.
He knew inside that he was by CREATOR GOD blessed
that it was HIS SEED selected above the rest
chosen by the ALMIGHTY to be a race apart
to show the loving-kindness of GOD'S heart.
Just then the words "CHRIST Killer" reached his ear
and these words cut through his soul, invoked a tear —
a phrase he’d learned to hate, but also fear
for it meant dire consequences drew near.
And so the wall of separation grew
between the blinded Gentiles and the Jew.
As the Gentiles used our LORD as an excuse
the "Apple of HIS Eye" to persecute.
They failed to reconcile a fact they knew —
that YESHUA was HIMSELF born a Jew.
And by no race, or man, was YESHUA killed
THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION gave HIMSELF of HIS OWN free will.
But the Gentiles yet, still fail to understand
JESUS gave up HIS life at HIS OWN command.
It wasn’t the Jew, oh don’t you see
Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH hung HIMSELF upon that tree.
HE sacrificed HIMSELF in benefit of man
to remove their sin, their final PASSOVER LAMB.
So how can the Gentile continue to blame the Jew
when the LORD Y’SHUA’S precious blood has cleansed them too.

Please stand with us and with the State of Israel this Yom ha'Sho’ah as we pray that peace finally will come to Israel, the precious Jewish people and the world.

As we remember the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust this "Yom ha'Sho’ah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)" we can also remember those listed in Hebrews 11 — the Hall of Faith Chapter — and be reminded how precious life that is lived for ALMIGHTY LOVING LORD GOD is, blessed be HE.

May we, like the Apostle Paul say, "in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also CHRIST will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is CHRIST, and to die is gain." [Philippians 1. 20 - 21] Live as thought the next breath is your last, before entering eternity. . . choose life and bear witness that our GOD reigns. Blessed are YOU, PRECIOUS LORD GOD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The date of Yom ha'Sho’ah, Holocaust Memorial Day, is marked on the Hebrew date of Nisan 27th (May 2nd this year on the Gregorian calendar) — chosen to mark the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.. On this day we also remember the lives of the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the experiences of those who survived its horrors.
Although the day became official by an act of Knesset, it has been traditionally commemorated by Jewish communities around the world. Some religious communities prefer not to commemorate the Holocaust on this day, which falls in the generally happy month of Nissan, but rather on Tisha b'Av (the 10th of Tevet) — which the Chief Rabbinate of Israel fixed as the day for the recital of the Kaddish Prayer for those murdered during the Holocaust whose date of death is not known.
"If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying ― 'I repent' ― you shall forgive him." Luke 17:3-4
Day 12 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The difference between "impossible" and "possible" is the measure of man’s will.

MOURNINGS, SLAVES, SOULS
"And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men." [Revelation 18. 11 - 13]

This day of mourning will follow the destruction of Babylon the Great, a mighty commercial and political center which "she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the LORD GOD WHO judges her" because "her sins have reached to heaven, and GOD has remembered her iniquities." [Revelation 18. 8, 5]

What were and are those sins?  Is Babylon the Great a literal city, the capital city of the empire of the Beast in the last days?  Or is it a metaphor, a figure of speech, depicting the wickedness of all such cities throughout the ages?  Or both, perhaps!

It is true, whatever be the definite answer as this Babylon harbors many forms of wickedness that the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD hates — fornication, uncleanness, covetous, idolaters, sorceries, those who shed blood, deceivers, liars, etc.  But the chief characteristics of its wickedness is its devotion to commercialism above all else..."For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury and delicacies." [Revelation 18. 3]  Because of your many luxury goods, merchants gave you silver, iron, copper, and lead for your wares. . . your traders bartered human lives and copper utensils for your possessions. [see Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 27. 12 - 13]

Be especially aware of the burden of the mournful cry of the merchants of the earth "for no one buys their merchandise anymore" [Revelation 18. 11], and they are obfuscated (confused, darkened, perplexed, mystified) because they had once been "made rich by her" but suddenly it was all gone. [Revelation 18. 14 - 15]

Not only the merchandise of "gold and silver" was gone, but also "bodies and souls of men." [Revelation 18. 13]  In the last days when this terrifyingly awful judgment falls, these merchants will still be trafficking in "slaves, and the souls of men."
How very sad, involuntary slavery was really never abolished, mankind — from babies to adults in nearly every country is being exploited, all for money and power.  It is especially thriving and unbeaten in many Muslim and other non-CHRISTian strongholds.  But, praise GOD, this will end soon when the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA returns and then all HIS redeemed followers will gladly serve HIM forevermore. [Revelation 22. 3]  "HE WHO testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly" Amen.  Even so, come, LORD JESUS!  The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you all. Amen" [Revelation 22. 20 - 21]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! As we kindle the candles of Sabbath may its radiance illumine our hearts!   Sabbath of Acharei Mot – “After the Dark” [Reading: Leviticus 16:1 - 18:30; 1 Samuel 20:18-42; Matthew 15:10-20]
Blessed are YOU GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO made us holy with HIS commandments and favored us, and gave us HIS Holy Shabbat, in love and favor, to be our heritage, as a reminder of the Creation.  For out of all the nations You chose us and made us holy, and YOU gave us YOUR Holy Shabbat, in love and favor, as our heritage. Blessed are you GOD, WHO sanctifies Shabbat. Amen
Day 13 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

to remove their sin, their final PASSOVER LAMB.

The date of Yom ha'Sho’ah, Holocaust Memorial Day, is marked on the Hebrew date of Nisan 27th (May 2nd this year on the Gregorian calendar) — chosen to mark the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The price of greatness is responsibility. [Winston Churchill]

STRONG, TOUGH HEARTS

"For it was the LORD’S doing to stiffen (literally: to make strong) their hearts to give battle to Israel, in order that they might be proscribed without quarter and wiped out, as the LORD had commanded Moses." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 11. 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im
I have a dear friend, who along with many other critics of the HOLY WORD of GOD, especially the OLD COVENANT, due to HIS harsh brutality such as displayed when HE commanded Moses to destroy all the Canaanites.  "When the LORD your GOD delivers them to you and you defeat them, you must utterly destroy them." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 7. 1 - 2]  This seems even more severe than ever when we read that ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF hardened the hearts of the Canaanites so that Joshua could destroy them.

However, for one to assume the BLESSED MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE is but a kind and loving heavenly dispenser to fulfill our wishes is a self-serving illusion of man’s selfish or sinful imagination.  For ALMIGHTY GOD is a "CONSUMING FIRE" [Hebrews 12. 29], and we are warned that "the wages of sin is death." [Romans 6. 23]  The SOVEREIGN ONE does "not change" [Malachi/Malakhi 3. 6];  the NEW COVENANT also teaches, "The LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in FLAMING FIRE taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD JESUS CHRIST." [2 Thessalonians 1. 7 - 8]

In HIS OWN words the OLD COVENANT proclaims HIS character, "The LORD, the LORD GOD, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty." [Exodus/Shemot 34. 6 - 7]  HE desires that we have, "such a heart...that [we] would fear [HIM] and always keep all [HIS] commandments, that it might be well with [us] and with [our] children forever!" [Deuteronomy/Devarim 5. 29]

As for the Canaanites, the LORD GOD had given them 400 years to repent [Genesis/Bereshith 15. 13 - 16], but with each generation, they went further and further away from the LOVING MASTER growing more depraved then the ones before them.  Even archaeology has revealed that they were practicing every form of depravity, wickedness and iniquity known to man.  Therefore, it was an act of HIS great mercy toward all those who would come in contact with them in future generations to decreed their destruction immediately and completely.

Because they thought they could destroy GOD’S people, the OMNIPOTENT ONE hardened the Canaanites hearts against Israel, which only hastened their well-deserved end.  Like so many today who have already permanently hardened their own hearts toward GOD, this too could be their doomed outcome.

Remember, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, and we  will be required give an account for our actions and choices.  "The LORD seeks out the righteous man, but loathes the wicked one who loves injustice." [Psalms (Tehillym) 11. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To be righteous: Fear, Love, and Obey the MAJESTIC LORD GOD.  Once you know HIM you cannot help but love HIM with all your heart, soul, and strength.  It is that simple, it is also that critical.  Therefore, these things were written that we may know.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
“If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
Infinite as YOUR power, even so is YOUR love, O LORD OF HOSTS.
"Set a goal so big you can't achieve it until you grow into the person who can."  Change takes time.  Don't be afraid to have extraordinary goals and huge plans.  If you are committed to the process, you can become the kind of person who is capable of accomplishing those feats that seem way out of reach now.
Day 11 of L’ Omer, Yom haSho’ah begins at evening.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Forgive as you are asked.

ONE IN MESSIAH
"It is finished." [John 19. 30]

These are the words uttered by our LOVING SAVIOR, the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH on the Altar outside Jerusalem.  But, what was finished?  Not HIS life, neither HIS work of salvation, it is still going on.  All the sacrifices of flesh in OLD COVENANT is now FULFILLED.  Y’SHUA the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD came, not to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it.  Not to do away with the Law, but to perform what the Law and the prophets required and to make good what it demanded and prophesied.

When we believe on the LORD JESUS OF NAZARETH, we no longer need to cling to that from which we have been delivered!  Jews and Gentiles who believe in MESSIAH are now HIS chosen, HIS people.  There is no difference.  We are one in the body of Y’SHUA, the DOOR of our salvation.  There is but one body of believers (Jew & Gentile) in the RISEN ONE!  By HIS sacrificial death, all Jews and Gentiles who believe in HIM have been made into one new man!

"Therefore, if any man (Jew or Gentile) be in MESSIAH, he is a new creature (creation); old things are passed away, behold all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17]  The new nature refers to the spiritual transformation that occurs within the inner man when one believes in Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH and knows HIM intimately as their personal SAVIOR, LORD GOD & EVERLASTING KING.  New as opposed to the old person because of the change being given a new nature, that must be cultivated, nurtured by spiritual decisiveness to grow in the LORD JESUS.  The HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD can accomplish this life-changing transformation for all who will only believe (trust and obey).

"SCRIPTURE has concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of CHRIST JESUS might be given to them that believe.  But before faith came, we were kept under the Law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.  Therefore the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to CHRIST, that we might be justified by faith.  But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.  For you are all the children of GOD by faith in YESHUA ha’MASHIACH." [Galatians 3. 22 - 25]   Truly, it is such a precious and lovely family our HEAVENLY FATHER has given us — you are that special member!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand wither.”  Psalms 137:5
May your life be a witness and beneficiary of GOD MOST HIGH'S care, love and presence.  HIS grace is greater then all our needs!  Truly, YOU LORD are exceptionally good, YOUR mercy is eternal, YOUR faithfulness and truth is for all generations.  Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
Our prayer is that you know the ONE WHO gives perfect peace!  May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.  Also, that the flame of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.  Walk joyously and boldly in the light and warmth of ALMIGHTY GOD'S compelling love; and may the HOLY ONE, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, fill you with HIS wonderful peace and indescribable happiness.
Day 10 of L’ Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
