Re: Peter Baum Items to share + Land of Israel
FACT
No Palestinian land was stolen
—————————————-
The Arab leadership testified to both the Hope Simpson Commission 1930 & the Peel Commission 1937 that all land in the geography known today as Israel , formerly Palestine had been legally purchased . The buyers were individuals & Jewish & Zionist organisations
There were 5 classes of land Mulk , Miri , Waqf , Metruke or Mewat . Mulk was freehold , Miri leasehold . Waqf was land under the protection of religious authorities & Metruke & Mewat was state land and wasteland owned ONLY by the state . These two categories accounted for approx 80 percent of the total geography & desert , forest , swamps , roads etc were all part of these 2 categories & this land was designated under international legally binding agreements to form part of the Jewish Homeland
Mulk or freehold accounted for a total of just 1% of land ownership & all Mulk land was acquired legally . Miri or leasehold formed approximately 17 percent of the total land and in order to retain title the fellahin peasant farmers had to prove 3 consecutive years of agricultural production and pay land taxes . As a result of malaria and drought , the fellahin could not achieve the productivity levels required nor could they afford the punitive taxes . Moreover Arab ruling families and Bedouin clans realising the land price rises as a result of the Zionist zeal for land ownership drove the fellahin from their farms . Millions of dunams of Miri land was legally acquired from Syrian , Lebanese & Ottoman ruling families and clans and all documented. Moreover the leases were then extended from 3 years to 50 years for the Zionist farming collectives to achieve their agricultural production objectives.
One of the reasons for the mass immigration into the geography during this period of land purchasing was simply non resident Arabs leveraging up on the economic benefits and improved living standards created by the Zionists skill in agricultural development . Sir Winston Churchill made several references to this in Parliament as did numerous Arab politicians . The Encyclopaedia Brittanica even recorded this mass Arab immigration 1911
The Lebanese Sarsaq , El - Salam families & Anthony & Michel El - Tynan from Syria are examples of those who sold millions of dunams to Jewish buyers . The Fellahin owned no land according to land registry records
No ‘ Palestinian ‘ land was stolen .
FACT 2
Both Gaza and the West Bank are within Israeli sovereign territory
————————————————————————————-
The legally defined sovereign territory of Israel includes and has always included Gaza and the West Bank ( Judea and Samaria)
Golan which is not included but occupied , which Israel under international law has a right to do because Syria is officially still at war with Israel . Until such time as Syria reverses this decision Israel under international law can still occupy the Golan
Anyone using the description of illegal occupation when referring to either Gaza or the West Bank is promoting a false narrative. The arrangements of Israel leaving Gaza and dividing the West Bank into Palestinian controlled areas are purely political and not based on the defined immutability of international law
The League of Nations Mandate 1922 ( includes the San Remo Treaty ) ratified & endorsed by the 1945 UN Charter Article 80 (among others & the legally binding principles of Acquired Rights & Estoppel ( both codified in the 1969 Vienna Convention Law of Treaties Article 70(1)(b) ) confirm Israel’s sovereign territory to include the West Bank & Gaza
The last international ruling upholding this was the ruling of the 3rd Chamber Court of Versailles 2013
That is the legal situation
No UN Resolution has the power to amend nor create other precedent as the UN by its Charter is not a legislative body & the courts under UN jurisdiction similarly cannot change binding law
Paradoxically the word ‘ Resolution ‘ does not appear in the UN’s Charter

The #Palestinian barbarity of October 7 was not the first time #Palestinians engaged in such sub human behaviour.
The #Lebanese #Christians of Damour , a sleepy village , suffered similarly on January 20 , 1976 .
Pregnant women were disemboweled , children were beheaded in front of their parents , parents were shot and their children made to watch and children , women and men were raped .
The Palestinians engaged in necrophilia .
Estimates are that over one thousand Lebanese Christians were killed as the Palestinians tried and failed to make Lebanon a Christian free , Islamic totalitarian theocracy subservient to #Russia .
Mainstream media at the time ignored this event . The lives of Lebanese Christians did not matter .
Naturally to this day Lebanese Christians detest the Palestinians

Jewish connection to Israel can be proved .
Arab - Palestinian connection is a farce .
What prayers or songs do Arab Palestinians sing or chant connecting them to Jerusalem? None .
What archaeological evidence is there as proof the Arab Palestinians fought to defend their land ? None
As shown below archaeological connecting Jews to defending their indigenous lands against invaders is in a abundance.
This is a silver coin from the Bar Kochba rebellion against the Roman invasion
One side features the Jewish Temple with the rising star surrounded by Shimon Bar Kochba
The other side features the lulav with the wording ‘ for the freedom of Jerusalem’ minted 132 - 135 CE
Jewish roots to the geography, to defending indigenous lands against invasions and to Jerusalem are evidenced in historical fact and archaeological discoveries.
The usurpers have nothing to connect them to any of the above

Re: Peter Baum Items to share + Land of Israel
In my pro Israel political activism certain truths reoccur that cement my beliefs that pro Palestinian support is actually Jew hatred - antisemitism is too soft a word .
I’m going to post here on Facebook how I challenge the false narrative that those of us who support Israel are regularly confronted with . Let’s start with the accusation that the Zionists stole land .
There are two very important and relative historical reports that debunk this - the 1930 Hope Simpson report and the Peel Commission report of 1937.
They identify the 5 categories of land under Ottoman rule ( 1517 - 1917 ) carried forward under the British mandate .
Mulk Miri Waqf Metruke and Mewat are the five categories.
When confronted by an opponent ask what category of land was stolen and when and where it was land registered by the indigenous Palestinian owner .
Anyone can gain repossession as some have knowing these facts .
But the issue is that very few indigenous Arab Palestinians ever owned one square foot of land - why ?
Hope Simpson identified that of the approximate 10000 square miles covering the total geography of Palestine the land category segregation was comprised thus .
Mulk or freehold accounted only for approximately 1% of the total and Zionist , Jewish organisations and individuals had legally acquired all .
Waqf also approximated 1% and this was land of religious or charitable organisation ownership such as mosques, churches and synagogues and is still under such ownership today .
Metruke and Mewat accounted for about 78% of the total land area and was designated state land and wasteland and set aside for ownership ( under immutable legally binding agreement endorsed within codified international law ) for the Jewish people on achieving an independent nation state . No person nor organisation owned any of this land - uncultivated marsh , desert or land set aside for parks , gardens , roads , paths , highways , government or military use etc . Thus the notion that Arab Palestinians previously owned the majority of the land land had it stolen is a total fabrication as confirmed and established in government reports . We have already identified that 80% was not owned by Arab Palestinian individuals nor families .
Thus we are left with the Miri category or leasehold . The reports identify that one quarter of the remaining 20% of the Miri geography was legally acquired by Jewish organisations, families or individuals and all such land was registered and leased for 50 years. That leaves a remaining 15% of leasehold land and the vast majority of this was returned to government and this is explained simply as follows. In order to retain cultivation over the leasehold status the Fellahin ( peasant farmers) had to establish three years continuing cultivation (the then customary term of the lease ) and prove land registration . The former was virtually impossible as Bedouin marauders and Arab armed factions from wealthy Arab families drove the Fellahin from their land and substituted their own families or other Fellahin forcing them to pay higher prices to them . Knowing this the Fellahin never had their land registered as it was expensive and in the knowledge that the criminal Arab families and Bedouin would’ve probably kicked them off the land as was customary.
The main other reason which ensured that the Fellahin left before the short leases expired and were returned to Government was as a direct result of malaria and drought that ravished the geography from circa 1912 and damaged the land for the next three decades. Being unable to substain three years continuous cultivation as the lease demanded the Fellahin had no option but to leave and give up the land they were farming .
New improvement in agricultural technology initiated by the Zionists ensured production enhancement and created work for thousands of Arab immigrants and Fellahin .
Lastly under oath to Sir Laurie Hammond at the Peel Commission the leader of the Arab delegation none other than the Nazi collaborator himself the Grand Mufti, testified on oath when pressed over and over again on the subject of stolen land , that NO land had been stolen but all legally acquired. He even named the Syrian, Turkish and Lebanese families mainly responsible for selling to the Jewish organisations and individuals.
Historical evidence debunks all current Arab Palestinian narrative alluding to the myth of stolen land .

No Palestinian land was ever stolen!

The Palestinian narrative alluding to the illegal occupation of their stolen land is a false narrative that has been repeated and promoted so often that it has morphed into fact. The ongoing propaganda and lies about occupation and theft of supposedly Palestinian land must be continuously challenged. The claim of occupation originates from 1967 despite the fact that there was no Palestinian land in 1967. There was land occupied by Jordan from 1948 – 1967 which Israel won back in 1967. That land as per the League of Nations Mandate 1922 ratified by UN Charter 1945, Article 80 among others, is within the legally defined borders of Israel. The legally binding principles of Acquired Rights and Estoppel since codified in the Vienna Convention of 1969, Article 70 (1)(b) endorsed and confirmed these borders which include Judea and Samaria, (the West Bank) and paradoxically Gaza. The third Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Versailles 2013 in a case brought by the Palestinian Authority was the last ruling upholding and endorsing Israel’s sovereignty.

The only land in dispute which Israel occupies not within her legally defined borders is the Golan but as Syria is still technically at war with Israel that geography may still legally be occupied by any warring party until the conflict is officially terminated.
Thus in a few simple sentences referencing legal rulings as defined within Internationally established Treaties and Charters as codified in International law we have exposed the revisionist history, false narrative and lies that dominate mainstream media output and political debate on the Israel Palestinian issue.
Another myth that is often circulated and promoted is that Jews and Zionists were in control of 6% of the land before the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians before 1948. This too is a lie, a false narrative and revisionist history at its most perfidious. The truth and the facts are again rather different. To discredit this mythology, we must refer to two examples of British administrative bureaucracy at its finest – the Hope Simpson and Peel Reports of 1930 and 1937 respectively. Hope Simpson reveals that the areas of land were segregated into five distinct categories defined as Mulk, Miri, Waqf, Mewat and Metruke.
Mulk or freehold and Waqf which was land under the control of charitable or religious foundations were both too insignificant in size (less than one per cent in total) to consider within the census. That left Miri, Mewat and Metruke. Mewat and Metruke were designated State Lands and Waste Lands and accounted for 72% of the land area. Unpalatable as this is to Israel’s enemies, all, I repeat all of this land was legally allocated for control within the Jewish State of Israel after the expiration of the 1922 Mandate. Thus, we have 28% left of the total land area designated as Miri land to consider. Miri is the equivalent of leasehold land. Hope Simpson calculated that 16% of this land was under Jewish ownership by 1930 and this can be validated by land registry. Thus, the figure of 6% per cent of Jewish geographical control invariably cited is not supported by any statistical validation as the proven analysis of the Hope Simpson report.

Chapter 2 of this report under the heading Area of Agricultural Land documents as stated above that 16% plus of the Miri category under Jewish ownership. However, to assume the remaining percentage was under the control of non-Jews cannot be proven and the reasons for this must be explained.
No land registry records existed to prove ownership of Miri land other than in the case of Jewish ownership as these owners insisted on documenting legal title. Moreover unless such land could be proven to be cultivated for three consecutive years the land reverted to the State and because of a devastating malaria outbreak and drought from 1915 , the majority of the land was left uncultivated and returned to the State and was either sold at auction or further allotted for Jewish ownership as falling under the category of State Lands . In the Hope Simpson report of 1930, the ’scourge of malaria’ is still very relevant impacting the population and land left barren.
Thus, the contention that only 6% of land of the total geography was controlled by Jews or Jewish organizations prior to the 1948 establishment of the State of Israel is a total fabrication. The facts are that 72% being state lands and wastelands was legally allocated for the Jewish State and approximately one fifth of the remaining 28% (or six percent) totaling 78% was owned or allocated for Jewish ownership. Even more unpalatable for the Palestinian lobby the 1937 Peel Report in the section referring to land ownership notes the large tracts of land in Gaza purchased by Zionist organizations.

Arab clans it is true cleansed some of the land of the Fellahin squatters from their undocumented tenancies in order to sell to Jewish individuals or organizations leveraging up from the higher land prices created by Zionism.
The current false narrative ignores the hundreds of thousands of Arabs coming into Palestine as a direct result of the economic benefits brought about by Zionism as Churchill referred to numerous times in the House of Commons. Now this is relevant given the generalizations regarding the lies about ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.
In 1948 the geography was attacked by five Arab countries and simultaneously nearly one million Jews from those and other Muslim countries were ethnically cleansed from those countries. Unsurprisingly the revisionist history makes no reference to these events but concentrates on the myth that there was ethnic cleansing by Zionist paramilitary groups in the form of large-scale attacks and massacres.
Given the attacks from five Arab countries and the ethnic cleansing of Jewish populations from those countries the context of the current narrative is not only lacking in explanation but is rather economic with the truth. Moreover, given the huge Arab immigration into the geography we must consider which population was supposedly ethnically cleansed.
Were the 36,000 Syrians from Houran province who had come into Palestine in the mid 1930 ‘s for work among those ethnically cleansed? Perhaps the ethnic cleansing refers to the thousands of Ben Sukhr Arabs from west of the Jordan or the Algerians who both similarly found their way to Palestine at the turn of the 20th century taking advantage of better economic conditions.

The 1911 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica cites ‘There are very large contingents from the Mediterranean countries, especially Armenia, Greece and Italy. Turkomen settlers, a fairly large Afghan colony, Motawila, immigrants from Persia, tribes of Kurds, a Bosnian colony, Circassian settlements, a large Algerian element, Sudanese ……’
The Hope Simpson Report of 1930 refers to the population census of 1922 and there is no category of population identified as either Palestinian nor Arab Palestinian. This is yet further proof that the Palestinian identification as a people had not yet been established.
The Palestine Royal Commission Report 1937, states – ‘This illegal Arab immigration was not only going on from the Sinai , but also from Transjordan and Syria , and it is very difficult to make a case out for the misery of the Arabs if at the same time their compatriots from adjoining states could not be kept from going in to share that misery.’
Winston Churchill said in 1939 – ‘So far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied until their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population’.
Thus, once more through documented research we have established that Arab immigration into Palestine was a multiple of Jewish immigration and that Arab countries attacked that geography in the hope of exterminating the Jews who lived there.
Moreover, historical evidence reveals the greater part the Arab leadership played in demanding that Mohammedans or Arabs (they were never called Palestinians until 1964) leave their villages during the Arab attacks on the Jews.

Edward Atiyah, Secretary to the Arab League, in his book The Arabs 1955 –
“The wholesale exodus was due to the belief of the Arabs encouraged by the boasting of an unrealistic press and the irresponsible utterances of the Arab leaders that it would only be a matter of some weeks before the Jews were defeated by the armies of the Arab States and the Arabs enabled to re-enter and take possession of the country”.
The Cairo daily Akhbar el Yom, October 12, 1963
‘The 15th May 1948 arrived …on that day the Mufti of Jerusalem ordered the Arabs in Palestine to leave the country because the Arab armies were to enter and fight’.
So you see the current narrative conveniently ignores the combined Arab attacks on Israel and the reasons for the Arabs leaving Israel which was determined not by Zionist massacres but from orders emanating from the Arab leadership, who incidentally had previously given military and political support to the Nazis. But that is another related matter.
Lies about the status of Jerusalem continue to promote mythology. The revisionism suggests that Israel illegally annexed East Jerusalem which is a commonly held view but nevertheless a lie. East Jerusalem as proven above is within Israel’s legally defined territory and all Israel did in 1967 was to kick out the illegal occupiers, Jordan, who did the annexing.
Then of course we have the myth of the illegality of Israeli settlements under International Law which I have debunked as the settlements fall within the sovereign territory of the State of Israel as per the League of Nations Mandate 1922 supported by the UN Charter of 1945 and the established principles of international law alluded to above but nevertheless worth repeating here.

Acquired Rights establishes that once a nation state is given rights under a mandate those rights can never be taken away. Estoppel simply establishes the reverse that once a nation has voted to give another nation right under a treaty or mandate that vote cannot be reversed. Unfortunately, the vast majority believe the false narrative spewed like vomit because of the saturation coverage promoting the lies for the last five decades.
Perhaps the most damning evidence that no Palestinian land was ever stolen is the testimony documented by the Arab leadership to the Peel Commission in 1937.
Sir Laurie Hammond, a member of the Peel Commission, interviewed the Grand Mufti about his insistence to the Commission that Zionists were stealing Arab land and driving peasants into homelessness. He spoke through an interpreter.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Would you give me the figures again for the land. I want to know how much land was held by the Jews before the Occupation.
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: At the time of the Occupation the Jews held about 100,000 dunams.
Sir Laurie Hammond: What year?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: At the date of the British Occupation.
Sir Laurie Hammond: And now they hold how much?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: About 1,500,000 dunams: 1,200,000 dunams already registered in the name of the Jewish holders, but there are 300,000 dunams which are the subject of written agreements, and which have not yet been registered in the Land Registry. That does not, of course, include the land which was assigned, about 100,000 dunams.
Sir Laurie Hammond: What 100,000 dunams was assigned? Is that not included in, the 1,200,000 dunams? The point is this. He says that in 1920 the Jews only held 100,000 dunams, is that so? I asked the figures from the Land Registry, how much land the Jews owned at the time . Would he be surprised to hear that the figure is not 100,000 but 650,000 dunams?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: It may be that the difference was due to the fact that many lands were bought by contract which were not registered.
Sir Laurie Hammond: There is a lot of difference between 100,000 and 650,000.
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: In one case they sold about 400,000 dunams in one lot.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Who? An Arab?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: Sarsuk. An Arab of Beyrouth.
Sir Laurie Hammond: His Eminence gave us a picture of the Arabs being evicted from their land and villages being wiped out. What I want to know is, did the Government of Palestine, the Administration, acquire the land and then hand it over to the Jews?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: In most cases the lands were acquired.
Sir Laurie Hammond: I mean forcibly acquired-compulsory acquisition as land would be acquired for public purposes?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: No, it wasn’t.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Not taken by compulsory acquisition?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: No.
Sir Laurie Hammond: But these lands amounting to some 700,000 dunams were actually sold?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: Yes, they were sold, but the country was placed in such conditions as would facilitate such purchases.
Sir Laurie Hammond: I don’t quite understand what you mean by that. They were sold. Who sold them?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: Land owners.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Arabs?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: In most cases they were Arabs.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Was any compulsion put on them to sell? If so, by whom?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: As in other countries, there are people who by force of circumstances, economic forces, sell their land.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Is that all he said?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: A large part of these lands belong to absentee landlords who sold the land over the heads of their tenants, who were forcibly evicted. The majority of these landlords were absentees who sold their land over the heads of their tenants. Not Palestinians but Lebanese.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Is His Eminence in a position to give the Commission a list of the people, the Arabs who have sold lands, apart from those absentee landlords?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: It is possible for me to supply such a list.
Sir Laurie Hammond: I ask him now this: does he think that as compared with the standard of life under the Turkish rule the position of the fellahin in the villages has improved or deteriorated?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: Generally speaking, I think their situation has got worse.
Sir Laurie Hammond: Is taxation heavier or lighter?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: Taxation was much heavier then, but now there are additional burdens.
Sir Laurie Hammond: I am asking him if it is now, the present day, as we are sitting together here, is it a fact that the fellahin has a much lighter tax than he had under the Turkish rule? Or is he taxed more heavily?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: The present taxation is lighter, but the Arabs nevertheless have now other taxation, for instance, customs.
Lord Peel: And the condition of the fellahin as regards, for example, education. Are there more schools or fewer schools now?
Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin el-Husseini: They may have more schools, comparatively, but at the same time there has been an increase in their numbers.
In Chapter 5 of the Peel Report – The Present Situation
“The Arab population shows a remarkable increase since 1920….and Arab landowners have benefited from the sale of land…..The Fellaheen are far better off than they were in 1920…”
Other extracts from the Peel Commission report cite in Chapter 9 , The Land
“Up till now the Arab cultivator has benefited from the presence of Jews in the country…”
“The shortage of land is due less to purchase by Jews than to the increase in the Arab population”. This is clearly a reference to the huge numbers of Arabs entering Palestine as noted above because of the economic benefits of Zionism
“Much of the land now carrying orange groves was sand dunes or swamps and uncultivated when it was bought”.
Thus, in this article I have exposed the Palestinian claims of occupied and stolen land are a myth. However, my truth is weighed down by years of lies promoted by those enemies of the Jewish people and the Jewish State of Israel. I raise the voice of truth by putting our heads above the parapet. Others must do the same and expose the Palestinian narrative for what it is – a pack of lies.

The Arab leadership testified to both the Hope Simpson Commission 1930 and the Peel Commission 1937, that all land in the geography known today as Israel , formerly Palestine had been legally purchased . The buyers were individual Jews , or Jewish and Zionist organisations.
There were 5 classes of land Mulk , Miri , Waqf , Metruke or Mewat . Mulk was the equivalent of freehold , Miri leasehold . Waqf was land under the protection of religious authorities and Metruke and Mewat was state land and wasteland not owned by anyone other than the state which accounted for approximately 80 percent of the total geography.
Mulk or freehold was of such insignificance as a percentage of total land ownership ( less than one percent ) it was not even considered in land ownership census. Miri or leasehold formed approximately 17 percent of the total land and in order to retain freehold title the fellahin ( peasant farmers ) had to prove three consecutive years of agricultural production and pay land taxes .
As a result of malaria and drought , the fellahin could not achieve the productivity levels required nor could they afford the punitive taxes . Moreover Arab ruling families and Bedouin clans realising the land price rises as a result of the Zionist zeal for land ownership drove the fellahin from their farms . Millions of dunams of Miri land was legally acquired from Syrian , Lebanese and Ottoman ruling families and clans and all documented.
One of the reasons for the mass immigration into the geography during this period of land purchasing was simply non resident Arabs leveraging up on the economic benefits and improved living standards created by the Zionists skill in agricultural development . Sir Winston Churchill made several references to this in Parliament.
The Lebanese Sarsaq and El - Salam families , Anthony and Michel El - Tynan from Syria are just a few examples of those who sold over one million dunams .

Many are using offensive language to my tongue in cheek comment about him being a Zionist .
However it is a truth - how come you ask . Simply because Mo was guided by the Quran which in numerous Suras bestows bequeaths and promises all of the geography we call Israel to the Jewish people . Now before any of you counter with the fact that the Quran in other Suras is very hostile to the Jews please note the following.
The collective term for those born into Judaism from the time of JC to the Spanish Inquisition was not ‘Jews ‘ but Children of Israel , or Sons or Children of Abraham or the Chosen or other such collectives terms . The collective term Jews only became a collective with negative connotations around the time of the Spanish Inquisition. Thus JC was known as the King of the Jews and never as the King of the Children of Israel . Jews being those who originated from Judea and were followers of JC - the militants or extremists of the day .

Documentary evidence debunks Palestinian claims of stolen land
No land was stolen by the Zionists but all was legally purchased.
ByPeter BaumPublished on August 13, 2022SHARETWEETCOMMENT
The ‘stolen land’ accusation was and is a public relations slogan running parallel with the origination of the Palestinian identity which started during the early 1960’s.
Following atrocities committed by Arabs on Jews in Palestine during the late 1920’s, HM Government commissioned a report by Sir John Hope Simpson which was produced in 1930. The Arab riots were instigated by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a title conferred on this future Nazi collaborator by the British who needed an Arab point of liaison during their administration of Palestine. The Report concentrated on immigration to Palestine and the effects on the people, land and economy.
The current narrative portrayed by the pro-Palestinian industry is that colonial Jews stole the land from indigenous Palestinians and thereafter ethnically cleansed them to facilitate further Jewish expansionism. I have been challenging this mythology for years in numerous articles and interviews and the Hope Simpson Report, a masterpiece of British administrative, documented eloquence totally supports my understanding.
This report when read in conjunction with the Peel Report of 1937 and perhaps the Middle East Diaries (1917~1956) of Colonel Meinertzhagen, British Middle East Military Advisor and Senior Government Diplomat will totally debunk the last fifty years of Palestinian revisionism and propaganda alluding to ‘stolen Palestinian land’.
There is total endorsement, ratification and confirmation within the Reports that all land had been legally acquired by Zionists, Jews or Jewish organizations from both Arab and non-Arab owners. This truth has been distorted over decades and lies about Jews stealing Palestinian land are now believed by the majority.
Furthermore, the narrative pertaining to immigration has followed similar revisionism and ignores mass Arab immigration. The documented evidence alluding to immigration confirms that not only was there Jewish immigration but uncontrolled Arab immigration as a direct result of the economic benefits created by the Zionist inflow.
The advantages of Jewish immigration were not just limited to economic benefits either. There are continuous references to healthcare, employment, educational and agricultural improvements throughout the Hope Simpson report assisting both Arab and Jewish populations. There are no references to the collective term Palestinian to identify a particular group of beneficiaries. The term Palestinian describing such a collective is nonexistent.
The ‘stolen land’ accusation was and is a public relations slogan running parallel with the origination of the Palestinian identity which started during the early 1960’s. Until that time the Arab Executive in both the Hope Simpson and Peel Report testified that all land transferred either to Jewish individuals, Jewish organizations and/or collectives had been legally purchased. No land had been stolen by Jews from Arabs or non-Arab owners. The Grand Mufti testifying before Sir Laurie Hammond during the Peel Commission report stated this several times under oath reconfirming all that Hope Simpson had established after forensic examination of legal documentation and numerous meetings with the Arab Executive during his comprehensive study. The accusation of Jews, Israelis or Zionists stealing land is a lie, a myth, an absolute fabrication of the truth.

The Hajj Mohammed Effendi Amin el-Husseini (1895~1974) the Grand Mufti, was interviewed by the Peel Commission on January 12 1937 and this interview has been historically documented. Both he and various other leaders of the Arab High Committee testified that no land had been stolen. Prior to the discussion below was a debate between the Grand Mufti and Sir Laurie Hammond regarding the area, cost and type of land purchased.
Grand Mufti – “In one case they sold about 400,000 dunams in one lot”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “Who, an Arab?”
Grand Mufti – “Sarsuk. An Arab of Beyrouth”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “His Eminence gave us a picture of Arabs being evicted from their land and villages being wiped out. What I want to know is, did the Government of Palestine, the Administration, acquire the land and then hand it over to the Jews?”

Sir Laurie Hammond – “I mean forcibly acquired – compulsory acquisition as land would be acquired for public purposes?”
Grand Mufti – “No it wasn’t”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “Not taken by compulsory acquisition?”
Grand Mufti – “No”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “But these lands amounting to some 700,000 dunams were actually sold?”
Grand Mufti – “Yes they were sold, but the country was placed in such conditions as would facilitate such purchases”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “I don’t quite understand what do you mean by that. They were sold. Who sold them?”

Grand Mufti – “Land owners”.
Sir Laurie Hammond – “Arabs?”
Grand Mufti – “In most cases they were Arabs”.
The interview continues and it is obvious that absentee Arab and non-Arab landlords forced the peasant farmers off the land in order to sell to the Jewish and Zionist buyers at highly inflated prices. Those same peasant farmers and Arab immigrants then found employment on the lands that had legally changed ownership.
The myth of Jews and Zionists forcibly evicting any farmers from their land is totally exposed for the false narrative that it is, paradoxically by the most anti-Zionist Arab leader in history.

Chapter 3 records the 1922 and 1930 population census of Palestine and is telling in that nowhere even within the Glossary are Palestinians recorded as a collective. Mohammedans, Jews, Christians and Others but no Palestinians as they had not yet been invented as a people, race, nation, tribe or culture. The total population between 1922 and 1930 increased from 654,000 to 940,000 due to significant migration from Syria, Transjordan and Egypt and also takes account of increasing numbers of Felahin – peasant farmers, who migrated into the area from the beginning of the 1922 Mandate for Palestine. The itinerant Bedouin population of 130,000 is also accounted for within the census.
Chapter 4 of the report details the land ownership laws -Mulk, Miri, Waqf, Metuba and Mewat and exposes the insignificant amount of land owned under freehold (Mulk) by Arab and non-Arab owners. So insignificant was freehold land ownership that Hope Simpson states… “Mulk is so small that for the purpose of this enquiry is negligible”.

The report however does confirm several times that what land under freehold was available for sale was legally sold to Jewish philanthropists or charitable and agricultural organizations and usually at over inflated prices. This was reiterated as cited in the Peel Report 1937. Waqf was land owned by religious Charities and organizations; Metuba was state owned for roads and Mewat was state owned waste land. Thus, we are left with Miri which was state owned but leased out for cultivation.
Miri was “commonly held right of occupation granted by the State. Absolute ownership remained with Government and continuous cultivation allows tenancy but if the land remained unproductive for three consecutive years the land reverted to the State”. If this land also forms part of the current Palestinian claims industry, then the unpalatable truth is that because of natural disasters, climate change, earthquake, drought and malaria, vast swathes of land were left for years unattended by tenant farmers and reverted to State ownership. However, some absentee landlords used this as an excuse to remove the tenant farmers to then sell to the Zionists. This was alluded to in the testimony of the Grand Mufti to the Peel Commission. Some attempts were made by HM Government to give tenancy holders better protection in the 1929 acts, The Law Governing Agricultural Tenancies, Protection of Cultivators Ordinance Act and the Transfer of Land Ordinance (pages 34 and 36 of the report) but to no avail.

Lands held by resident and nonresident landlords, mainly Bedouin, Turks and Lebanese gave no occupancy rights for tenants as generally the landlords terminated such rights after one year. Jewish agencies were willing to purchase such Miri before or having reverted to the State, and as with Mulk land at highly inflated prices. The idea of Palestinian tenant farmers cultivating fertile land from Palestinian landlords for centuries and being kicked off the land by Zionists is a false narrative that has successfully gained momentum.
Chapter 5 of the report concentrates on land purchases and there are numerous telling paragraphs which again totally debunk the myth of Jews stealing land as per page 52.

“The Jewish authorities have nothing with which to reproach themselves in this matter of the land. They paid high prices for the land and in addition they paid to certain of the occupants of their lands a considerable amount of money which they were not legally bound to pay”.

“….there can be no doubt that the Arab has profited largely by the installation of the (Jewish) colonies. Relations between the colonists and their Arab neighbors were excellent”.

Pages 78~81 describe the benefits to all of the Jewish population increase. Their competencies on agricultural development, irrigation, health and education advantaged the total population and not just the new Zionist immigrants.
The feature of cooperatives brought by the Eastern European Jews were completely new to the Arab and were of huge benefits in increasing food production. Since the first purchases of land in 1882 no less than 249 cooperatives had been established.

So successful was crop production that from a base of zero, sufficient was being produced not only to feed the local population but indeed exports were now competing with both Syrian and Egyptian exports (page 100).
Chapter 10 of the Report concentrates on immigration, both Arab and Jewish. Regarding Jewish immigration there can be no doubt that it was triggered by anti-Jewish pogroms in various countries. For example, the report describes the antisemitic excesses in Romania and in Yemen where the “Jewish community dates back to pre-Islamic times, there was a decree that all Jewish orphans must convert to Islam”. In Russia the report describes how Jews had “been singled out for religious and savage persecution”.

Arab immigration was as a direct result of economic advantages brought about by Zionism. There are numerous documented explanations and I shall cite a few examples to emphasize the point.
Jacob de Haas in his History of Palestine The Last Two Thousand Years , published in 1934, wrote:
“In 1860 entire Algerian tribes immigrated en masse to Safed. The Muslims of Safed are descended from these Moorish settlers and from Kurds that came earlier to the area”.

The British Consul James Finn in the late 19th century wrote:
“I learn of the arrival of thousands of the Beni Sukhr Arabs at Tiberias who are very seldom seen this side of the Jordan”.
The 1911 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica on immigration stated:
“There are very large contingents from the Mediterranean countries especially Armenia, Greece, and Italy. Turkmen settlers, a fairly large Afghan colony, Motiwala (Pakistan), immigrants from Persia, tribes of Kurds, a Russian colony, Circassian settlements, a large Algerian element, Sudanese”.

Tewlik Bey el Houran the Governor of Hauran Province in Southwest Syria complained in an interview with La Syne a French Syrian publication on August 12 1934:
” …in the last few months as many as thirty-six thousand Syrians had entered and settled in Palestine”.
The Palestine Royal Commission Report London 1937 reads:
“This illegal Arab immigration was not only going on from the Sinai but also Trans Jordan and Syria and it is very difficult to make a case for the misery of the Arabs if at the same time they could not be kept from going in to share that misery”.

“So far from being persecuted the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied until their population has increased more than all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population”.

Regarding the Arab leaders attempts to create division for political gain the unemployment issue was at the forefront of their false narrative.

Page 139 of the report show the monthly population statistics for 1930 provided by the Palestine Immigration Department and the monthly peak was 3900 unemployed, 1300 Jews and 2600 Arab. The report states
“ …. widely believed and commonly alleged among Arab leaders that Arab unemployment is due to Jewish immigration…..there is no basis for this belief. Jewish development has meant more work for Arabs…”.

The Report is a fascinating document detailing the impact of Jewish immigration into the area. Running parallel with such immigration was non-Jewish immigration as a direct benefit brought about by the agricultural competencies of the Zionists.
Similar to the subsequent Peel Report of 1937 the truth which will make unpalatable reading for the pro Palestine anti-Israel industry is obvious and runs counter to current pro-Palestinian propaganda.
No land was stolen by the Zionists but all was legally purchased. The Arab population benefited so much from Zionist knowledge that Arab immigration was twice that of Jewish immigration. And lastly and most significantly that no people, race, tribe nation or culture known as the Palestinians had yet been discovered.

Grand Mufti – “In most cases the land was acquired”.

TURKEY RETURNS ANCIENT SILOAM INSCRIPTION DESCRIBING HEZEKIAH’S TUNNEL
BY ADAM ELIYAHU BERKOWITZ | MAR 11, 2022 | BIBLICAL NEWS
Now the rest of the acts of Chizkiyahu, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehuda? Kings 20:20 (The Israel BibleTM)

After years of dispute, Turkey agreed to return the Siloam Inscription, considered to be one of the most important ancient Hebrew inscriptions in existence. that has been in Istanbul Archaeology Museum. The announcement comes in the wake of a one-day visit to Istanbul by President Isaac Herzog.
The Times of Israel reported cited a Turkish official as saying that Israel offered to reciprocate by sending Turkey a valuable historical and religiously significant item currently housed in an Israeli museum, most likely an ancient candelabra from the days of Ottoman rule. The deal was not discussed during the talks between Herzog and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but was negotiated by senior officials on both sides. The Times of Israel report stated that there was no immediate confirmation from Turkey. It is believed that the return of the inscription signals improved relations between Israel and Turkey
The stone, inscribed with Paleo-Hebrew letters dated to the eighth century BCE, is one of the oldest extant records of its kind. It was found in the Shiloah Tunnel in Jerusalem in 1880. In 1890, a resident of Jerusalem stole the inscription from the wall of the tunnel. During this work the inscription cracked into six to seven pieces and several letters were injured at the breakpoints. The Ottoman government recovered the inscription and had it installed in the Istanbul Museum. The inscription records the construction of the tunnel; according to the text the work began at both ends simultaneously and proceeded until the stonecutters met in the middle.
The inscription’s significance is undeniable: it confirms the Biblical account of a Jewish king constructing the existent water system in Jerusalem. The construction of the conduit was an important factor in safeguarding the mountaintop city’s only source of water against an imminent attack by the Babylonian King Sennacherib. It was a remarkable feat of engineering for its time, requiring four years to complete. Two teams dug through solid stone from opposite ends, finally meeting in the middle.

The tunnel is described in the Book of Kings:
Now the rest of the acts of Chizkiyahu, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehuda? II Kings 20:20
The passage reads:
… the tunnel … and this is the story of the tunnel while …
the axes were against each other and while three cubits were left to (cut?) … the voice of a man …
called to his counterpart, (for) there was ZADA in the rock, on the right … and on the day of the
tunnel (being finished) the stonecutters struck each man towards his counterpart, ax against ax and flowed
water from the source to the pool for 1,200 cubits. and (100?)
cubits was the height over the head of the stonecutters …
Multiple requests by Israeli diplomats for the return of the Siloam Inscription have been rebuffed. Most recently, in 2017, Miri Regev, Israel’s Minister of Culture and Sport, was in Gaziantep accompanying an Israeli basketball team for their match against a Turkish team. The day after the game, Regev had an informal meeting with the mayor of the city, Fatma Sahin. During the conversation, Sahin mentioned that the city’s zoo was suffering from a pachyderm problem: they only had one elephant and wanted more.
The Turkish mayor said jokingly, “We’re willing to work for it.”
A native Israeli used to bargain in the open-air shuk, Regev jumped on the opportunity. Via a translator, she said to Sahin, “We’ll make a deal. We’ll give them two elephants, and they’ll give us the inscription of Hezekiah.”
In 1998, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered to trade Turkish antiquities in Israeli museums for the precious Hebrew inscription, but his offer was rejected.
Another request in 2007 by former President Shimon Peres to borrow the inscription for a short period was initially accepted by the Turkish president Abdullah Gül, but the loan never materialized.
In 2007, Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski met with Turkey’s ambassador to Israel, Namık Tan, and requested that the tablet be returned to Jerusalem as a “goodwill gesture.”Turkey rejected the request. President Abdullah Gul said that Turkey would arrange for the inscription to be shown in Jerusalem for a short period, but this has yet to happen.

President Abdullah Gul said that Turkey would arrange for the inscription to be shown in Jerusalem for a short period, but this has yet to happen.

Below is the third in my series of articles debunking Palestinian claims to the geography called Israel and , or the Holy Land . In this article we disprove the Palestinian religious claims and paradoxically validate that such claims from Palestinians and their supporters are fundamentally ‘ Islamaphobic.’

Re: Peter Baum Items to share + Land of Israel
The most coveted piece of real estate in the world! Who really owns the Temple Mount?
An actual real estate transaction is recorded in I Chronicles 21:20-25 where King David paid 600 shekels of gold for what is commonly referred to as Mt. Moriah, the site of King Solomon's Temple. This was a legal transaction which, to my knowledge, has never been resold. This piece of ground, said to be between 37 and 45 acres, has been conquered, claimed, confiscated, etc., but never re-sold.
First, as a preface to this coveted land site....We read in Genesis 22, we learn that the land of Moriah is where God directed Abraham to go to sacrifice Isaac. The exact place chosen for the sacrifice of Isaac is believed to be on what is now the Temple Mount.
The truth of King David's real estate transaction is this land ultimately belongs to Jesus Christ as a descendant of King David born through the Virgin Mary. Purposeful enough, the ancestry of Joseph, is also traced back to King David. Joseph was the legal earthly father of Jesus and who was chosen by God to marry Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, God in the Flesh Who came to earth to redeem the lost as the sacrifical Lamb of God through His finished work on the cross.

Mount Moriah is the name of the elongated north-south stretch of land lying between Kidron Valley and "Hagai" Valley, between Mount Zion to the west and the Mount of Olives to the east.
The Jebusite "Zion" was situated on the southern slope of Mount Moriah, above the Gihon Spring. After King David captured the city he made it his capital and named it for himself: the "City of David."
The northern area of the mountain's summit lay desolate for long after Zion's capture by David. It was in fact still the private property of Araunah, the city's former Jebusite king. For various reasons David did not confiscate the site but preferred to buy it from Auranah for full value: "So David paid Ornan [Auranah] for the site 600 shekels' worth of gold. And David built there an altar to the Lord and sacrificed burn offerings and offerings of well-being" (1 Chronicles 21:25, and a slightly different version at 2 Samuel 24:18-25).
The truth of King David's real estate transaction is this land ultimately belongs to Jesus Christ as a descendant of King David born through the Virgin Mary. Purposeful enough, the ancestry of Joseph, is also traced back to King David. Are Palestinian historical claims to the geography a lie?
“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive”.
Lies, fiction, false narrative and mythology if told often enough by those with a far-reaching public profile and unconditionally supported by a willing and compliant media create the conditions whereby the uninformed and biased believe in fiction.
Exposing the mythical narrative and the lies in an effort to seek the truth will make unpalatable reading for the enemies of the Jewish people and the Jewish State of Israel. As a political researcher, activist and Middle East editor of this esteemed publication all I can ask of our readers is to comprehend, check and challenge the content of this article. Palestine vs. Israel as the Name of the Holy Land
by Dr. Thomas S. McCall
Dr. Thomas McCall, the Senior Theologian of our ministry, has written many articles for the Levitt Letter. He holds a Th.M. in Old Testament studies and a Th.D. in Semitic languages and Old Testament. He served as Zola’s co-author, mentor, pastor, and friend for nearly 30 years.
This article appeared originally in the December 1997 Levitt Letter.
During the last few centuries, the world, Christians included, has fallen into a bad habit. We have bought into some early Roman propaganda. We have used the name Palestine, which Roman Emperor Hadrian placed on the country of Israel in 135 A.D., for so long that it has become common usage. This would be as incorrect as calling the Russia of today the “Soviet Union” or referring to Berlin as “East Germany.” The thoughts below by our ministry’s senior theologian, Dr. Thomas S. McCall, completely explore the subject. If you know somebody who’s fallen into this habit, please share this article with them.

Atrocities perpetrated by Muslims on indigenous black Africans
By Peter Baum
Published November 11 2021
Atrocities perpetrated by Muslims on indigenous black Africans are an all too frequent occurrence, a recent example being earlier this month when over seventy men, women and children were barbarically killed in Niger. The event received scant coverage on western mainstream media relegated to the second page on the BBC’s teletext page of world news and item number seven of ten on the BBC’s World News website behind an item concerning an alleged sexual assault on a 1960’s Hollywood actress by her co-star.
https://www.weeklyblitz.net/oped/atrocities-perpetrated-by-muslims-on-indigenous-black-africans/?fbclid=IwAR1Voxz-R5uLuvjNFRcxFIieb9EsLrPE_ZBq0Q3OHVc_--C_bfvSEXY9Ztc
Take a moment to review these facts. Scores of black Africans, slaughtered by Muslims in an African member country of the United Nations and the news surrounding this atrocity is of such little importance that it is given the absolute minimum of news exposure. Unsurprisingly when one ‘ Googles ‘ Deaths in Niger, numerous other incidents replicating the latest atrocity are identified. The victims are black African civilians and citizens of Niger and the perpetrators are Muslims, nationality unknown. There have been at least seven of these atrocities since the beginning of 2021 and more than one thousand people have been butchered, three times that number maimed with life changing injuries and tens of thousands ethnically cleansed. 2021 atrocities are listed below and if one were to include the preceding years the multiples would be times twenty.
October 8th, September 13th and 29th, August 25th, July 25th, June 29th, May 30th, April 18th, March 22nd, February 21st and January 2nd are just a few of the numerous dates when similar atrocities were undertaken by Muslims on black Africans. Now you would think that the western media would have the moral decency to expose and investigate these incidents. But no, they have no interest.
No protests by black groups such as Black Lives Matter; no spewing of outrage by black Members of Parliament, or any MP’s within the UK; no world condemnation in the United Nations or special sessions convened; no follow up reporting by any mainstream media network. Just a total acceptance by those globally responsible that Muslims kill black Africans and no one cares enough to make this an issue. Inertia, silence, acceptance and nauseating moral indecency permeates through the veins of all those I have noted, that is those with the power to do something to roll back the wave of suffering.
Now just take a moment to consider that had the victims been slaughtered not by Islamists but say, white South Africans during the apartheid period, would such atrocities have received a different level of reporting coverage. The parallel has been purposely exaggerated for comparative analysis for media bias. Paradoxically post-apartheid South Africa is domestically experiencing a dystopian, crime atrocity pandemic at COVID type proportions as we shall verify.
South Africa/reported crime is at such unprecedented levels that the country is one of the most crime infested countries in the world.
One murder every 25 minutes and 125 rapes a day and unreported crime as a multiple is probably three times that of reported crime. Abuse on children and women is literally out of control and the victims are almost exclusively indigenous blacks. Incestual behaviors and tribalism, Xhosa on Zulu and vice versa are the dominant factors. Mainstream media is oblivious to South African domestic crime as it was when the black South Africans committed their own form of apartheid against workers from neighboring Zimbabwe.
Again, one wonders what reporting differences would be exposed had the perpetrators of South Africa’s uncontrollable crime wave had been mainly white. It seems when blacks kill blacks or when Muslims kill blacks, the media is as disinterested as those media outlets Parliamentarians so quick to cry racism at every possible opportunity. A British Pakistani cricketer who cried racism has received more attention than the slaughter of thousands of indigenous Africans. A morally indecent, professionally incompetent and cowardly media and elite political class are to blame.
