You would think that these words were taken straight out of my forthcoming book on Jezebel's War with America. You would think they came from the pen of a conservative follower of Jesus. But they did not.
They were written by a self-proclaimed feminist witch. She said, "The fact that the resurgence of feminism and the popularity of the witch are ascending at the same time is no coincidence: the two are reflections of each other."
Precisely so!
Writing for Time.com, Pam Grossman explains, "Today, more women than ever are choosing the way of the witch, whether literally or symbolically. They're floating down catwalks and sidewalks in gauzy black clothing and adorning themselves with Pinterest-worthy pentagrams and crystals.
They're filling up movie theaters to watch witchy films, and gathering in back rooms and backyards to do rituals, consult tarot cards and set life-altering intentions. They're marching in the streets with HEX THE PATRIARCHY placards and casting spells each month to try to constrain the commander-in-chief.
Year after year, articles keep proclaiming, 'It's the Season of the Witch!' as journalists try to wrap their heads around the mushrooming witch 'trend.'"
Shades of the spirit of Jezebel herself. Shades of that idol-worship seductress from biblical times who emasculated men, silenced the prophets, and practiced sorcery and witchcraft.
Jezebel is on the rise.
It is the thesis of my new book that there is a direct and real spiritual connection between the rise of radical feminism, the explosion of porn, the attack on masculinity, the militant abortion movement, and the resurgence of witchcraft. And the ascendancy of Donald Trump to president, for better or for worse, has served to highlight all these different but related streams.

Another "Wrongful Birth" Lawsuit As Parents Sue For Mistake Of Giving Life

Last month, an Australian couple was granted an extension by the Supreme Court in Brisbane to sue the medical staff of a Gold Coast ultrasound clinic. The pending lawsuit is expected to be an enormous one, with extensive damages being sought as well as a personal injury suit on behalf of the mother.
An initial reading of the preliminary details makes the case appear to be extremely serious, causing one to wonder what the doctor and the ultrasound technicians might have done wrong.
That question has a stomach-turning answer. As it turns out, the couple's daughter - now a little girl of four years old - has Down syndrome. The couple had not been expecting this, as both a doctor and a sonographer had told them during an appointment in August of 2014 that the risk of a chromosomal abnormality was in the "low range" and that further testing was unnecessary. They turned out to have been mistaken, and the child had to spend several weeks in intensive care with a feeding tube following her birth.
While most parents would simply have felt overwhelming relief that their daughter turned out to be okay, one suspects that these particular parents did not: They are now suing both the clinic and the attending doctor for "wrongful birth," claiming that the failure of the medical staff to alert them to their daughter's condition was a mistake that allowed her to be born.
If they had known she had Down syndrome, they would have ensured that she did not make it out of the womb alive by procuring an abortion. The "damages" that the couple are seeking include the cost of raising their unwanted little girl.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola is alleged to have said "Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man." Anti-Israel ideologues have adopted a similar strategy, targeting ever-younger age groups in their effort to turn Americans against the world's sole Jewish state.
The growing presence of anti-Israel units in America's high schools and middle schools represents an ambitious extension of the campaign against Israel that has flourished on college campuses.
The unmonitored classrooms of America's public schools present a tempting target for anti-Israel indoctrinators. With rare exceptions, the insertion of biased curricula occurs uncontested. Alert citizens who discover anti-Israel bias in classroom materials and bring them to the attention of school officials encounter bureaucratic indifference.
But remaining silent is not an acceptable option; the problem will not go away by itself. A forceful public response followed by relentless monitoring and engagement with school officials has been the only way to effectively contest anti-Israel bias.
Many are perplexed by the current educational climate and wonder how it came about.
Far-left activists have taken control of university humanities departments and schools of education, and imposed an academic orthodoxy that is receptive to anti-Zionism. The once prevalent image of Israelis as plucky Jews rebuilding their ancient homeland has been replaced by the bleak image of a militarized colonial-settler state infringing upon the lives of victimized Palestinians.
This transformation of Israel's image was achieved by recasting the Jews as foreign invaders who expropriated Palestinian land to build a state. The Palestinian plight is analogized to civil-rights struggles in South Africa and the American South.
This transformation relies upon concealing documented history and misrepresenting Palestinian intentions. Students are not informed that the ultimate goal of all significant Palestinian political groups is to replace the Jewish state, not find a lasting accommodation with it. Students are left in the dark about the inculcation of generations of Palestinians with the belief that Jews are intrinsically villainous and cowardly.
This hatred is expressed in Palestinian schoolbooks, in the official media, in sermons, at public commemorations and in children's programming. The failure of school curricula to acknowledge this crucial element limits students' capacity to understand why the conflict has been so resistant to resolution.
The altered history provided to students starts with the emergence of the modern Zionist movement at the end of the 19th century. The historical context on which Zionism is built is missing. The Zionists' insistence on settling the territories of the Palestine British Mandate can only be understood in the context of the Jewish connection to the land that spans several thousand years.

Ocasio-Cortez's Deep Misunderstanding Of The Holocaust

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) recently told her Instagram followers that the United States is "running concentration camps" on the southern border. Aside from the insensitive nature of this statement, it also reflects a deep misunderstanding and ignorance of the Holocaust and what occurred in the concentration camps.
According to an article in Mother Jones, Ocasio-Cortez stated:
That is exactly what they are: They are concentration camps. I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that "never again" means something.
I don't use those words lightly. I don't use those words to just throw bombs. I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is. A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist, and it's very difficult to say that because it is very difficult to accept the fact that that's how bad things happen.
Ocasio-Cortez believes that her "concentration camp" analogy is appropriate, due to what she describes as the use of "mass camps of people detained without a trial" and "DHS's mass separation of thousands of children at the border from their parents."
Fortunately for Ocasio-Cortez, she was not alive during the Holocaust nor was she forced to endure life in the "camps." However, Primo Levi, a Jewish-Italian Auschwitz survivor and literary documentarian, did. Primo wrote an essay "The Gray Zone," which was included in his final book, The Drowned and the Saved. In this essay, Primo described the brutality of Nazi Germany and life in the camps.
According to Vox, at one point in his essay, Primo described what took place when people first entered the concentration camps: "Kicks and punches right away, often in the face; an orgy of orders screamed with true and simulated rage; complete nakedness after being stripped; the shaving off of all one's hair; the outfitting in rags."
In another section of his essay, Primo described how the prisoners, some of whom were designated as the "Special Squad," were degraded and humiliated in the camps.
As set forth in Vox: "With the duly vague definition, 'Special Squad,' the SS referred to the group of prisoners entrusted with running the crematoria. It was their task to maintain order among the new arrivals (often completely unaware of the destiny awaiting them) who were to be sent into the gas chambers, to extract the corpses from the chambers, to pull gold teeth from jaws, to cut women's hair, to sort and classify clothes, shoes, and the content of the luggage, to transport the bodies to the crematoria and oversee the operation of the ovens, to extract and eliminate the ashes. The Special Squad in Auschwitz numbered, depending on the moment, from seven hundred to one thousand active members."

If you ask my detractors, they would tell you that the reason I do not celebrate gay pride is that I'm a bigot. A hater. A homophobe. A transphobe. And I understand their perspective.
After all, no matter how Christian I claim to be, if I tell a gay couple I do not believe they are truly married in God's sight, that feels like hatred to them. If I tell a woman who identifies as a man that I still believe she is a woman, that feels like hatred to her.
From their perspective, I can understand how unchristian my position seems, how bigoted, how biased, how primitive.
After all, they would be quick to point out, there are gay parents who are more devoted to their kids than some straight parents. There are transgender men and women who are kind, gentle, caring souls. 
There are people all across the LGBT spectrum who help the poor, who care for the oppressed, who love the loveless, who are outstanding bosses or employees or friends or neighbors.
Why shouldn't all of us celebrate gay (or, LGBT) pride?

For me, there are three major reasons, and none of them have anything to do with hatred or fear.

For several decades, I have drawn attention to the Church's historic persecution of the Jews in Jesus' name. It is one of the ugliest and longest chapters in Church history, and it cannot be downplayed, forgotten, or ignored. With God's help, I will continue to call out "Christian" antisemitism wherever I see it today. 
But I will not ignore Jewish persecution of Christians. It too must be called out.
In the Gospels, Jesus and His followers, all of them Jews, were persecuted by hypocritical Jewish leaders, ultimately leading to the Lord's death on the cross. And that pattern continued in the Book of Acts, where the Jewish leadership stood in opposition to the message of Jesus the Messiah, sometimes persecuting His Jewish followers to the death (see Acts 7).
Some even stirred up trouble wherever these Messianic Jewish emissaries went to share the good news (see Acts 17), and this continued in the centuries that followed, with some documented cases of Jewish leaders siding with local efforts to persecute Christians.

On the evening of May 26, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini commented on the results of the European elections, "A new Europe is born." 
The party he leads, the League, had just won with 34.3% of the vote. Other parties defined in Europe as "populist" also won: in Hungary, the Fidesz-KDNP alliance (Hungarian Civic Alliance and the Christian Democratic People's Party) received 52.3% of the vote. 
In Poland, the PiS (Law and Justice) party won 45.4% of the vote. Sebastian Kurz's Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) won 34.6% of the vote and the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), his ally, was awarded 17.2%, despite a recent scandal that led to the resignation of Heinz-Christian Strache, chairma of the FPO, from his post as Vice-Chancellor of Austria (the Kurtz government fell on May 27). 
In the United Kingdom, the Brexit Party victory -- at 31.6% of the vote -- was a remarkable achievement that signaled the persistent willingness of millions of Britons to leave the European Union. There, the "populist" positions -- the defense of national sovereignty and European civilization, refusal of uncontrolled immigration and diktats of Brussels technocrats -- gained ground.

Thirty Years After The Tiananmen Square Massacre - A Warning Of The Future

Thirty years ago this week, late in the evening of June 3, 1989, tanks rumbled down the streets of Beijing towards Tiananmen Square, where for weeks a sea of students had gathered to demand government reforms and moves towards democracy. 
As people realized that the thousands of soldiers were headed for the Square, they swarmed into the streets to block their progress, throwing up barricades at major intersections, flashing the V-for-victory signal, and at about 10:30 PM, near the Muxidi apartment buildings where some of the high-level Communist Party officials lived, they began to shout at the soldiers. 
A few rocks were thrown. And then, the soldiers swung the barrels of their AK-47s towards the crowds and opened fire on the unarmed citizens. June 4 would be the day of what would become known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre, but the first blood was drawn a few hours before.
When the tanks and the soldiers arrived at the Square, student leaders made the hurried to decision to evacuate. Most left. Some stayed. Later that morning, more people tried to enter the Square, probably the parents of students. The soldiers started firing, mowing down everyone they could see and shooting those who fled in the back. 
Rescue workers who tried to get to the wounded were gunned down, too. Eyewitnesses would later say that the soldiers seemed almost frenzied, raking the Square with bullets, killing anyone they could see. The Chinese Red Cross initially reported 2,600 dead, but hastily retracted that number under pressure from the Communist government, which has since provided the ludicrous but official death count of 241, including soldiers, with an additional 7,000 wounded.
When you walk though Tiananmen Square today, as I did several years ago, it is almost impossible to fathom the carnage that took place there. The Chinese government does its best to make this so, with information about the massacres suppressed throughout China and dissidents even sent on forced "vacations" for the 30th anniversary of the bloodshed to ensure that the events did not receive public attention.

Just as residents of one town make progress towards stopping the indoctrination of our kids with Drag Queen Story Hour, the United Church of Christ has come to the rescue of LGTB activists.
Open Cathedral, a member of the United Church of Christ, rented out a room at the Leander Public Library after the City of Leander in Texas nixed the Drag Queen Story event due to local opposition.
The event will now be hosted in the conference room at the library on June 15. 
According to the event page, the church will select a drag queen to read children books about "how wonderful it is to be unique and special."

Iranian regime and Hezbollah supporters have set up Boy & and Girl Scout branches in Michigan.
In fact, the Boy Scouts of America website officially recognizes one Islamist-linked Boy Scout pack in the state, listing a Cub Scout branch, Pack 1139, at the Bint Jebail Cultural Center in Dearborn.
Cub Scouts are for children from kindergarten through fifth grade.
In 2017, the Muslim Scouts of Michigan held its Waiyullah Camp where the boys and girls were taught by a radical supporter of the Iranian theocracy and Hezbollah, Sheikh Usama Abdulghani.
The sheikh preaches that Muslims must follow the commands of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. He has also said that ISIS is a secret front for Israel and the West as part of their war against Islam.
An older website for the Muslim Scouts of America, shows that it previously had a weekly program every Sunday at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge in Dearborn. This mosque has a history of honoring Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran and founder of the current theocracy

Palestinian Authority Outraged That Israel Killing It's Terrorists

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is up in arms because Israeli policemen killed a Palestinian who stabbed two Jews in the Old City of Jerusalem. The terrorist, 19-year-old Yusef Wajih, from the West Bank village of Abwain, near Ramallah, stabbed one of the men in the neck and head near the Old City's Damascus Gate, leaving him in serious condition.
The second victim was a 16-year-old who was stabbed by the terrorist in the back a few hundred meters away from the scene of the first attack. The teenager sustained light to moderate injuries. Police officers shot and killed the terrorist, thus preventing him from harming more Jews.
Such stabbing attacks are not uncommon on the streets of Jerusalem. In the past few years, Palestinian terrorists have carried out several stabbing and shooting attacks against Israeli police officers and civilians, particularly ultra-Orthodox Jews who were on their way to or from prayer at the Western Wall.
The wave of terrorist attacks began shortly after Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in 2015 that the Palestinians will not allow Jews "with their filthy feet to defile our Al-Aqsa Mosque." Abbas was referring to the Israeli authorities' decision to resume Jewish visits to the Temple Mount. The visits were temporarily suspended for security reasons after the eruption of the Second Intifada in September 2000.

With gay pride month in full swing, everyone from Prince Harry & Meghan to Corporate America are flashing their rainbow colors on social media while cities around the world hold their celebration parades.
One school in Australia, however, is now having to backtrack after fierce backlash for coercing students to support Gay Pride or else face financial consequences.
Greystanes High School in Sydney sent a letter to parents letting them know that in observation of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, pupils who wore an item of 'rainbow' clothing were expected to donate $1, while those who did not were expected to donate $2.  Essentially a fine or penalty for failing to support the LGTB cause.
Mark Latham, a Member of the Australian Parliament, said the idea amounted to 'political punishment' of students over identity politics and that the school needed to treat everyone equally, and not punish those who feel uncomfortable wearing LGBT colors.

Remembering Tiananmen Square: The Deadly Truth about Communism

For two months in 1989, students gathered in Tiananmen Square demanding political reforms analogous to the economic reforms instituted by then-Chairman Deng Xiaoping.
After some initial indecision, the Communist Party decided to crack down. On May 20th, the government declared martial law and moved 250,000 troops into Beijing. On June 3rd, state-run television warned Beijing residents to stay inside.
The next day, the army advanced toward Tiananmen Square. Protesters attempted to impede the army's advance and destroyed more than 100 military vehicles, and damaged nearly 500 others.
But ultimately resistance would prove to be futile. Trucks and armored personnel carriers joined tanks and attack helicopters. The army's principal target was a 10-meter tall statue dubbed the "Goddess of Democracy," which was erected by the students and bore a more-than-passing resemblance to the Statue of Liberty.
After first firing warning shots, the troops fired directly on the protesters. Estimates of the death toll range widely, from hundreds to thousands. In addition, at least 1,600 people were arrested, many imprisoned for more than two decades, and others who were never seen again.

In an interview with The New York Times published this week, new Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh warned Israel that it might experience "a very hot summer." 
The point of this statement was not about another heat wave coming to scorch the Middle East, but the possibility that the leaders of the P.A. were considering trying to influence Israel and the United States to alter their policies by threatening unrest and violence.
That's the last thing the Palestinians need from their West Bank government. But since neither America nor Israel will budge from their justified insistence that the P.A. stop subsidizing terror in the form of salaries and pensions granted to imprisoned or deceased terrorists and their families, there is a real possibility of a confrontation in the territories, where things could definitely get hot.
If that's the way it plays out, then that's also bad news for those Israeli politicians who are betting their political lives that conflict with the Palestinians is about to drop off the radar screen of the voting public.

On April 25, the terrified residents of the Christian village of Jifna near Ramallah asked the P.A. to protect them after they were attacked by Muslim gunmen. The violence erupted after a woman from the village submitted a complaint to P.A. police that the son of a prominent, Fatah-affiliated leader had attacked her family. 
In response, dozens of Fatah gunmen came to the village, fired hundreds of bullets in the air, threw fire bombs, shouted curses and caused severe damage to public property. It was a miracle there were no dead or wounded.
Despite the residents’ cries for help, the P.A. police did not intervene during the mayhem—which lasted for hours. They have not arrested any suspects. Drag queen and reality TV contestant Jose Cancel dressed as his alter-ego Vanessa VanjieMateoz (Miss Vanjie) told viewers to buy Chips Ahoy! cookies to celebrate Mother's Day.
In his rant, Cancel explains how anyone who feels like it can be a mom.  Anyone you consider to be 'like' a mom is, in fact, a mom. And you should buy them some cookies.

No one took responsibility for the firing of two rockets at Israel's Mount Hermon on Saturday night from Syria, but it doesn't take a lot of imagination to view Iran, or one of its proxies, as the prime suspects.
The Iranian radical axis possesses both the ability and the motivation to conduct such an attack.
Israel's reported responses included a significant air strike on Iranian assets within the T-4 airbase, in central Syria, and deadly strikes on the Assad regime's military.
Israel sent the message that Iran cannot hide behind its proxies and allies, and that its activities remain highly exposed to Israeli intelligence and firepower. It also reiterated that Assad will continue to pay a price for Iran's aggression.
The Islamic Republic has spent years creating proxy terror organizations throughout the Middle East, including in Syria. This gives it an ability to attack and pressure its enemies on their own doorstep, far from Iran's own borders, while maintaining a facade of deniability. The 'anonymous' firing of two rockets on Saturday appears to fit this pattern well.
Tens of thousands of Shi'ite militia members--made up of Iraqis, Afghans and others--are active in Syria. They are armed, trained and funded by Iran, and are also under its command.
Iran has tried to recruit Syrians, who live near the Israeli border, into Iranian-organized terror networks.
In addition, Hezbollah--Iran's powerful Lebanese proxy--is a part of this picture. Hezbollah has repeatedly tried to turn southern Syria into a forward operating base against Israel.

Jewish shop owners are hounded, threatened and run out of town. Their businesses are the targets of prolonged campaigns of intimidation, culminating in months of demonstrations at their doors with up to a thousand angry protesters at a time shooting red paint bombs and mutilated dolls at employees.
Owners of these businesses threatened with death and (real) bombings. The threats including their families.
Police refuse to step in, saying the protesters are behaving lawfully. In fact, a top politician supports and is listed as a patron of the organization behind the protests.

I want to focus on one word, and one word only. That word is fairness. Not gender. Not transgender. Not activism. Not rights. Not perception. Simply fairness. That's the issue here, and that's where we need to keep our focus.
The question is not why a man identifies as a woman (or vice versa).
The question is this: Is it fair for a biological male to compete against biological females?
According to a story posted on Trib Live, a "A transgender woman [CeCe, formerly Craig, Telfer] who competed as a man as recently as last year won an NCAA women's track national championship on Saturday."
Yet, less than 18 months ago, in January, 2018, "Telfer finished eighth in a field of nine in the Men's 400 meters at the Middlebury Winter Classic in Vermont."
So, competing against fellow-males, Telfer was second to last in a field of 9. Now, competing against females, Telfer came in first in a field of 8. That's quite a turnaround.

The dystopian future George Orwell warned us all about in his iconic novel, 1984 has quickly become our reality. Widespread facial surveillance in the "land of the free" is an "imminent reality."
The revelation this week before the House Oversight Committee by the government's top watchdog, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), that the FBI has amassed a database of 640 million photographs shocked several lawmakers.
The FBI's available trove of photos contains some from its own face recognition system that includes photos from the criminal justice system, like mugshots, and others available from state and federal government databases, like driver's license photos, the GAO said.

In 2002, Dr. Joshua Muravchik, a distinguished scholar, wrote a history of socialism which, he thought, might also be considered an epitaph for socialism.
Beginning in the 18th century, socialism had taken many forms in many countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. These experiments failed, in many cases spectacularly and tragically.
Surely, socialism was dead and buried. Yes, but like a zombie in a horror movie, it rose from the grave.
Muravchik's book was titled: "Heaven on Earth: The Rise and Fall of Socialism." A new edition, published last month, carries the subtitle, "The Rise, Fall, and Afterlife of Socialism," and includes a long and edifying epilogue.
It is more than a little troubling that in the United Kingdom the Labour Party is now headed by Jeremy Corbyn, while in the United States one of the leading candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination is Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). I'm not predicting the two men will be elected to lead their respective nations, but that outcome can hardly be ruled out.
Corbyn has declared his intention "to challenge global capitalism." Richard Seymour, a British Marxist, has praised him as "a radical socialist."

As the US administration prepares to roll out its long-awaited plan for peace in the Middle East, also known as the "Deal of the Century," Iran appears to be increasing its efforts to help its allies in the region try to thwart the plan.
Recently, Iran seems to have stepped up its political and military support for radical Palestinian groups that are staunchly opposed to any peace agreement with Israel. These groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, do not recognize Israel's right to exist and are publicly committed to its destruction and replacement by an Iranian-backed Islamic state.
Iran, of course, has long shared the same ambition of destroying Israel and has never hesitated to make its position known to the world. In several statements during the past few decades, Iranian leaders have been frank about their wish that Israel be "a one-bomb country."
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has several times referred to Israel as a "cancer" and threatened to "annihilate" the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. He has also taken to Twitter to denounce Israel as a "barbaric, wolf-like and infanticidal regime." Israel, he added, "Has no cure but to be annihilated."

Palestinian Stabs Israelis, And Here Come The Excuses

In what crazy, upside-down world does a Palestinian Arab randomly stab Jews in Jerusalem, get shot dead by Israeli policeman and then become the focus of an Associated Press article with a headline about Israelis killing Palestinians?
In our crazy, upside-down world, that's where.
The latest craziness began when the terrorist was strolling through the Old City of Jerusalem on Friday morning when he happened to see a Jewish man. So, the Arab stabbed the Jew. The stabber then went a little further along, until he spotted a Jewish child walking along. So, he ran up and stabbed the child in the back.
You can already imagine Excuse #1 bubbling up in the fertile minds of the rationalizers and justifiers: The Old City is "occupied Arab East Jerusalem"... meaning that the Jewish victims actually were "settlers"... which makes them "legitimate targets" for "resistance."
Resistance to what? Why, to the existence of Jews, of course.
Israeli policemen approached the terrorist. He was literally caught with the bloody knife in his hand. Instead of surrendering, he ran, which is why the police shot him. It's about as black-and-white a case as one can imagine. Yet, incredibly, the Associated Press characterized him as "an alleged Palestinian attacker."
It seems that as far as the AP is concerned, when it comes to Palestinian terrorists, they're always "alleged" and never "terrorists." Isn't that curious?

One of the most important developments in American culture over the last few years has been the elevation of women. Especially since the #MeToo movement inspired victims to come forward, we've become serious about ending the harassment and silencing of women.
But there are still women being silenced. And there are still women being harassed. Ironically, though many progressives have claimed credit for this new state of wokeness, they're the ones often telling a very specific group of women to essentially "sit down and shut up."
Take Pennsylvania state representative Brian Sims, who twice filmed himself harassing peaceful pro-life protesters outside a Philadelphia abortion clinic. In the first encounter, this grown man descended on a group of teenage girls, offering $100 to anyone who could identify them. That's what is called "doxing," by the way, and it's a very effective online intimidation tactic.
Later, Simms posted a video in which he harassed a woman that was praying in front of the same clinic, calling her "disgusting" and "racist," and asking viewers to identify her and publish her home address.

Iran Proxy War Could Bring Entire Region To The Brink Of Conflict

The recent rise in military tensions in the Persian Gulf between the United States and Iran introduces a heightened possibility that Iran will activate proxies against Israel, or respond more fiercely to alleged Israeli airstrikes on Iranian assets in Syria.
Currently, the Islamic Republic is pursuing a policy based on a phased deterioration of regional stability. Its object is to extract what Tehran perceives as a "proportionate" price for the Trump administration's chokehold on the Iranian economy.
At the time of writing, this policy has seen the Iranian-backed Shi'ite Houthis in Yemen launch long-range explosive drone attacks targeting oil facilities near Riyadh, the Iranian-orchestrated sabotage of commercial ships docked at a UAE port, and a rocket attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad. 
It has also seen reported suspicious movements of Iranian proxy forces, Iranian missile boats and Quds Force activities in the region, in what appear to be preparations for escalating the security situation if ordered to by Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei.
So far, Iran's message to Washington has been that it will not give in to American demands to renegotiate the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA, aka the Iran nuclear deal) or discuss any limitations to its ballistic missile program. Iran has already announced that it will increase its level of low-enriched uranium beyond JCPOA limits--a threat to break out to the nuclear weapons production stage in future.
In addition, Iran is warning that the closer it comes to economic crisis and resulting domestic instability because of U.S. sanctions, the more unstable and dangerous the region will become for America's Sunni allies and their ability to export oil, and for Israel's security.

Illinois High School Promoting Palestine Liberation Struggle Curriculum

An Illinois school district is under fire for a course offered to teachers titled "Teaching Palestine."
The Niles Township High School District 219 serves Lincolnwood and parts of Morton Grove, Niles and Skokie in Cook County, home to Chicago. There are an estimated 291,800 Jews in Illinois with most of them living in the Chicagoland area.
The district consists of Niles North High School and Niles West High School.
The lesson, according to the course description obtained by JNS, "brings together critical educators who want to teach about Palestine and the Palestine liberation struggle."
Objectives include developing "a deeper understanding of the history and current political context of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the Palestine liberation struggle," examining and analyzing "existing curriculum on Palestine, the Palestinian liberation struggle and Israel."
Goals also include discussing "concrete strategies for how to respond to Zionist professional developments and curricula or when parents/staff/others object to anti-Zionist curriculum," developing grade appropriate scope and sequence for teaching Palestine" and making "curriculum connections between Palestine and issues affecting our students, such as: state/police violence, the struggle for racial justice in the U.S., settler colonialism in Palestine and the U.S., access to education for historically marginalized youth."
Information from organizations such as Jewish Voice for Peace, a prominent anti-Israel group nationwide, is used in the course.

Economic Momentum Is Moving In Just One Direction & Few Are Ready

Earlier today, I was greeted by this jarring headline when I visited the Drudge Report: "BONDS FLASH RECESSION WARNING".  These days, it seems like the "R word" is being thrown around constantly, but at this time last year everyone was celebrating how well the economy was doing.  
Unfortunately, we have witnessed a dramatic shift in recent months, and we just got some more really bad economic numbers.  Thanks to those bad numbers and an increasing amount of anxiety about the trade war, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell another 237 points on Monday.  
That means that we are on pace to potentially see the Dow fall for a sixth week in a row, and that is something that hasn't happened since the last recession.
But right now investors are far more spooked about what is going on in the bond market.  According to Mish Shedlock, we haven't seen this many yield curve inversions "since the start of the Great Recession"...
On Friday, US Treasury yields plunged at the mid to long end of the curve providing the most inversions since the start of the Great Recession. This is the biggest recession warning since 2007.

Canada: Christians Muzzled While Islamists Get Federal Funding

These days we wake up every day to disturbing news in both the U.S. and Canada.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) recently released a report titled: Hijacked by Hate: American Philanthropy and the Islamophobia Network in which it claims "hate groups" have used American charities to propagate a message of anti-Muslim bigotry.
According to this report, any critique of Islamism and Islamist activities is deemed racism and bigotry (i.e., "Islamophobic"). This includes any and all legitimate criticism of extremism, terrorism and jihad. According to CAIR, it's all racism.
Meanwhile in Canada, MP Iqra Khalid -- the architect of the divisive M103, the anti-"Islamophobia" motion -- announced less than a year ago that the Trudeau Government (due in part to her hard work) would invest $23 million into a multiculturalism program.
The catch:  What is this "multiculturalism program?" Much to our horror, the two groups who are among the recipients of the program's money are:
The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), the new name of the Canadian branch of CAIR. CAIR was named in 2008 as an unindicted co-conspirator in the "largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history."

All across America, U.S. farmland is being gobbled up by foreign interests.  So when we refer to "the heartland of America", the truth is that vast stretches of that "heartland" is now owned by foreigners, and most Americans have no idea that this is happening.  
These days, a lot of people are warning about the "globalization" of the world economy, but in reality our own soil is rapidly being "globalized".  
When farms are locally owned, the revenue that those farms take in tends to stay in local communities.  But with foreign-owned farms there is no guarantee that will happen.  
And while there is plenty of food to go around this is not a major concern, but what happens when a food crisis erupts and these foreign-owned farms just keep sending their produce out of the country?

Israel's Not-So-Subtle Message To Iran That It Is Watching & Poised To Strike

The Israeli satellite imagery company, ImageSat International (ISI), released photographs in recent days showing what it described as "Iran's land bridge from Tehran to the Mediterranean."
The images show Iranian construction work on a new crossing on the Syrian-Iraqi border, which, according to ISI, would allow Iran to transfer weapons, armed personnel and oil into Syria.
The images are from an area that has been in the headlines in the past. An older border crossing in the same area, known as Albukamal, was destroyed in airstrikes attributed to Israel by international media reports a little more than a year ago.
The 2018 strikes were unusual not only because they demolished an Iranian-run border crossing, but also because they destroyed a building that served as a headquarters for Iranian-backed Shi'ite Iraqi militias--just the kind of forces that Iran wants to inject into Syria, along with weapons and oil to bypass U.S. sanctions.
According to reports from last year, dozens of Iraqi militia operatives, most of whom were members of an organization called "Hezbollah Battalions," were killed in the attack.
Now, it seems, Iran's Islamic Republican Guards Corps (IRGC) is trying again. It is building a new land corridor in the very same area. The satellite imagery can be interpreted as an Israeli warning to Iran to cease its activities or face additional strikes.

The fissures are already visible. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, two important, influential Persian Gulf counties, announced they will attend the U.S.-led economic conference in Bahrain scheduled for June 25-26. 
The Palestinian Authority and Hamas have already said separately that they will boycott the summit. 
Egypt and Jordan are still undecided. The rest of the Arab world is licking its wounds. Iran, for its part, is looking on, grinning from ear to ear.
Jordan's King Abdullah was able to weather the Arab Spring uprising by adopting some of the demands put forth by the masses and changing Jordan's election system. 
His problems didn't end there, however, and his kingdom is still unstable. At this stage, he'd rather the Mideast peace plan known as "the deal of the century" was put on hold, while the uncertainty surrounding the plan's details is exacerbating his concerns that his country will have to pay a steep price.
Unlike Jordan, Egypt is projecting an aura of self-confidence. It is ignoring the P.A. in its talks with Hamas over a ceasefire understanding with Israel and has tempered its efforts to mediate inter-Palestinian reconciliation. 
Egypt supports the Palestinian demands regarding a final-status agreement with Israel, but is not backing P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas's rejectionist approach to U.S. peace deal. 
Cairo feels comfortable enough to speak with Washington honestly and is calling on the Palestinians to return to the negotiating table and to learn from Egypt's experience with Israel.

The recent elections brought bad news for Christians, and you probably heard about that. But there's some wonderful news for the Christians of India as well. Prepare to be encouraged.
First, however, let's look at the bad news.
The BJP, the current ruling party in India, led by Prime Minister Modi, won the national elections handily. This is bad news for millions of Christians in India.
The BJP is not just a Hindu party. It is a militantly Hindu party. It wants India to be a Hindu nation, meaning, exclusively Hindu. Prime Minister Modi has even spoken of his desire to see Christianity eradicated from India within the next few years.
These are frightening, sobering sentiments. We cannot take them lightly.

And, while the BJP may not be physically persecuting Christians, militant Hindus throughout the nation have been given a free hand. This has resulted in many Christians being beaten and others being killed. (I know this firsthand through my direct contact with Christian leaders in India.)

New mapping technology that is expected to transform training and simulation exercises for America's warfighters was unveiled at the IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo (ITEC) 2019 conference on May 15 in Stockholm, Sweden, reported National Defense Magazine.
Jason Knowles, director of geospatial science and technology at the University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies, an Army affiliated research center, spoke at ITEC about the new terrain capture and reconstruction software that recreates complex environments including cities for simulation exercises and war planning. 
The institute is part of a cross-functional team working on the mapping software (called One World Terrain (OWT) project).
Knowles described the new software as "Google Earth on steroids."
At a briefing during ITEC, Knowles showed the audience a picture of an enemy base that was captured and digitally re-created in about an hour using commercial software and a small drone. "We were able to throw that UAS up, capture that in an hour, put it on the laptop, process it, and push it out," he said.
"The ability to have an individual or a squad go out, collect their own organic 3D model for ingesting into their modeling and simulation is huge for us," he said.
"The interior of buildings are now being fused and snapped inside of that 3D model," Knowles said. The software can "strip the outside of a building level by level and see what's inside the building. That's obviously very useful for operators."

Fighting Back: Illegal Sharia Patrol Convicted In Germany

Members of a sharia patrol operating on the streets of Germany were found guilty of violating the country's laws against wearing uniforms that are "suggestively militant or intimidating."
The law was made originally to squelch any nascent Nazi-like street movements.
The seven men who comprised the patrol, which was operating on the streets for Wuppertal, were ordered to pay between 300 and 1,800 euros ($336-$2015) each but will serve no jail time.
The case dates back to September 2014 when a group of Salafist Muslims were caught patrolling the streets of the western German town telling those walking by not to engage in activities forbidden by sharia (Islamic) law.
Wearing bright orange vests labeled Sharia Police, the group handed out notices to passersby announcing the area was a "sharia-controlled zone," which meant alcohol, drugs, gambling, music, concerts, pornography and prostitution were prohibited.
Despite the fact the group was dressed in the vests, the first court to hear the case -- a regional court -- ruled the group had not violated the country's laws on wearing military or intimidating uniforms.

Only after helping mankind win the war against an insectoid alien invader does Julian Delphiki discover he's the product of a genetic experiment that unlocked the full potential of the human brain.

Julian's potential comes at a high cost. He will outgrow his heart and die before the age of twenty. The mad scientist who engineered him is driven to make even more like him, eventually replacing the human race with a new and--in his mind--superior species.
Just last year, headlines announced the birth of the world's first genetically modified children in China. The gene editing technology known as CRISPR has made it possible to tinker with the genetic design of human beings. And so, the world met Dr. He, the first mad scientist to don his lab coat in real life.
In response, many have warned that the time for preventative action is now. Writing in "Nature," a group of leading bioscience researchers recently called for a global moratorium on the gene-editing of human embryos. "The introduction of genetic modifications into future generations," they write, "could have permanent and possibly harmful effects on the species. 
These mutations cannot be removed from the gene pool unless all carriers agree to forego having children, or to use genetic procedures to ensure that they do not transmit the mutation to their children."
In other words, GMO people, like GMO plants and animals, can pass on their artificial traits, not only making genetic experiments a permanent part of the human genome but also potentially affecting an untold number of lives.n other words, when we genetically alter children, we not only play God with them. We are experimenting on their children and their children's children. Even if the result isn't some nightmare mutation like Julian Delphiki's drastically shortened lifespan, (which he does pass on to his children in the story, by the way), modified embryos cannot give their consent to our experimentation. They must simply live with the traits and the consequences, beneficial or not, imposed on them by mad scientists.

What Happens If Netanyahu Can't Form A Government?

If Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to stay on as premiere, he has to get the Knesset's approval for a newly formed government, in the form of a confidence vote.
Netanyahu has the support of 60 Knesset members out of 120, and the opposition has 55 MKs. The wild card is Israel Beiteinu, which has refused to join the coalition but considers itself right wing.
If Netanyahu presents a government and Israel Beiteinu abstains, he will win the confidence vote 60 to 55 and get to swear in a minority government. If Israel Beiteinu joins the opposition, the confidence vote will end in a tie and he will have to alert President Reuven Rivlin that he has failed to get the Knesset's approval, or alternatively dissolve the Knesset and call an early election.
What happens if Netanyahu misses the deadline to form a government?
If Netanyahu is unable to form a new coalition by Wednesday, he will have to inform President Rivlin that he is returning the mandate he was given.
The president will then have to task another MK to form a government, after consulting party leaders. Rivlin can choose anyone he thinks has a chance of successfully winning the Knesset's confidence, be they on the right or the left.
If the president's second choice for prime minister fails to form a coalition after 28 days, MKs can ask the president to tap another MK, who they believe has a good chance of forming a new government. He or she will only have 14 days to complete the task.

It has become a regular occurrence for Christians to find themselves at the end of the unemployment line after posting about their Biblical beliefs on social media.  Now Christian athletes are finding they are increasingly becoming targets.  
In Australia, Rugby player Israel Folau has caused a meltdown after posting Bible verses that condemn various sins including homosexuality and call for repentance.
Rugby Australia said in a statement that Folau had "committed a high-level breach of the Professional Players' Code of Conduct warranting termination of his employment contract." 
After the controversy erupted, Folau said to the Sydney Morning Herald, "I'll stand on what the Bible says...I share it with love.  I can see the other side of the coin where people's reactions are the total opposite to how I'm sharing it."

The problem is that the doctors thought the patient in question was an obese male having stomach pains. "He" identified as male and "his" electronic paperwork said "he" was male.

In that article, we are told that after the worst drought in 116 years Australia has actually been forced to import wheat.  And according to the Guardian, this is the first time in 12 years that this has happened...

Is It Time For California Parents To Defy The Law?

As followers of Jesus, we are called to submit to the laws of the land and to honor those in authority. The New Testament is very clear on this (see especially Romans 13:1-7). It is also very clear that there are exceptions to this rule, namely, when the authorities require us to disobey the Lord (see Acts 5:40-42). 
In that case, with respect, we say, "We must obey God rather than man" (see Acts 4:18-20; 5:29; to be perfectly clear, I'm speaking of non-violent resistance to the law.)
That time has come for parents in California.
In good conscience, they must say NO to the school authorities and YES to the Lord. It's time to declare to the schools of California, "Quit using our children as pawns in the culture wars! Quit sexualizing our kids!"
I'm speaking about the radical new sex-ed curriculum being imposed on all students in the public schools, K-12, without exception, and without the option of parents removing their children from objectionable classes.
We're talking about kindergarteners - little children just 5-6 years-old - being indoctrinated with transgender talking points. Indeed, "a book for kindergarten through third grade . . . teaches kids that they can be a boy, girl, neither, gender queer or gender fluid and that adults might not understand their gender identity."
Parents, say NO to your impressionable little ones being exposed to trash like this. How dare the school bring such confusion to your precious children.

Market Watch used a young professional as an example of this flawed thinking. Lori Rodriguez, a 27-year-old communications professional in New York City, is not saving for retirement, and it isn't necessarily because she can't afford to, but because she doesn't expect it to matter. 
Like many people her age, Rodriguez has bought into the propaganda and religiously believes that climate change will have catastrophic effects on our planet. Some 88% of millennials (a higher percentage than any other age group) believe in the climate change religion and 69% say it will impact them in their lifetimes.

The 72nd assembly of the U.N.'s World Health Organization (WHO) voted 96-11 this week for a resolution, co-sponsored by the Arab bloc and the Palestinian delegation, which singled out Israel over "health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east[ern] Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan."
The assembly in Geneva gathers annually to discuss internal and external questions facing the U.N. health body, with topics including market transparency for medicines; vaccines and other health technologies; the rise of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; World Health Organization reforms; strategies for addressing snake bites; the shortfall of health workers; universal health coverage; and, finally, a condemnation of Israel for treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Syrians in the Golan Heights.
Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based non-governmental organization U.N. Watch, condemned the delegates' abuse of the U.N. body as a forum to target Israel. "Singling out Israel is a perversion of the truth and a perversion of the values under which the World Health Organization was founded," he told JNS.
"This is the annual meeting of health delegations around the world, focusing on communicable diseases like tuberculosis to AIDS, and suddenly, out of nowhere, there is this peculiar politicization where suddenly one country is singled out and effectively portrayed as the only violator of health rights," he commented, calling it a "thinly veiled attempt to scapegoat Israel."
"Out of 21 items on the meeting's Agenda, only one--Item No. 14 against Israel--focused on a specific country. There was no agenda item or resolution on any other country, including Syria, where hospitals and medical infrastructure have suffered devastating bombings by Syrian and Russian forces; Yemen, where 19.7 million people lack access to health-care service due to the current crisis; or Venezuela, where the health system has collapsed, causing millions to flee the country."

Asleep At The Wheel? Fewer Pastors Concerned About Religious Liberty

There are many fine pastors in America. They are devoted shepherds. They are faithful teachers of the Word. They care for their flocks. And when necessary, they sound the alarm.
For each of them, I am thankful. Some of them are dear friends and co-workers, and many of them have sacrificed much for God's work and God's people.
But there are all too many others who do not see the handwriting on the wall. They seem willfully ignorant of the "signs of the times." For them and, even more, for their congregations, I am deeply concerned.
Fewer Pastors Saying They're "Very Concerned" About Religious Liberty
According to a recent Barna survey, "a plurality of the general population believes freedom of religion in the U.S. is worse than it was 10 years ago." The percent of the population who said religious liberty is getting worse grew from 2012-2015, and again from 2015-2017.
In contrast, "the proportion of Protestant pastors who fear religious liberties may be further restricted in the future has actually dropped." Dropped? Seriously?
Our religious liberties are under attack from every corner -- from our children's schools to our places of business and from the internet to the courts. How can it be that many Protestant pastors are less concerned now than before?
According to Barna, "In the 2014 survey of all Christian and non-Christian clergy, over half of Protestant pastors (55%) admitted they were very concerned that religious freedom will become more restricted in the next five years; this percentage fell to below half (49%) in the 2015 / 2016 study and to one-third (34%) in 2017."

If signs of concern waned during these years, it's not because emphasis on religious freedom was any less prominent in national news.

Poll: Half Of American Adults Expect War With Iran Within Next Few Years

Half of all Americans believe that the United States will go to war with Iran "within the next few years," according to a Reuters/Ipsos public opinion poll released on Tuesday amid increased tensions between the two countries.
While Americans are more concerned about Iran as a security threat to the United States now than they were last year, few would be in favor of a pre-emptive attack on the Iranian military. 
But if Iran attacked US military forces first, four out of five believed the United States should respond militarily in a full or limited way, the May 17-20 poll showed.
Historically tense relations between Washington and Tehran worsened in May after US President Donald Trump hardened his anti-Iran stance and restored all sanctions on Iranian oil exports following his decision a year ago to pull the United States out of a 2015 international nuclear accord with Tehran.
The United States moved an aircraft carrier and forces to the Gulf region in response to intelligence that Iran may be plotting against US interests, an assertion Iran denies.
Nearly half -- 49 percent -- of all Americans disapprove of how Republican Trump is handling relations with Iran, the poll found, with 31 percent saying they strongly disapprove. Overall, 39 percent approve of Trump's policy.

The United Nations has been a place of Jew hatred and Israel hatred. Resolution after resolution has been passed attacking the Jewish state. Reports have criticized Israel – but they are false. So many other world problems are ignored because the UN is obsessed with condemning Israel for nothing. Christians are being slaughtered throughout the Muslim world. Terrorists are murdering Jews. And the UN talks about Israel’s “war crimes.”

But Brigitte Gabriel got up at the UN and addressed antisemitism in a way that many others will not. Her speech is honest, clear, and needs to be heard by all. Standing up for Jews and defending Israel is not easy to do in front of the organization that rejects it too often. Floods & Drought Devastate Crops Around The Planet - Global Food Crisis Coming?
It looks like global food production could be well below expectations in 2019, and that could spell big trouble in the months ahead.  In recent weeks, I have written extensively about the problems that we have been experiencing here in the United States.  

As many as a million calves were lost to the flooding that hit the state of Nebraska in March, farmers have planted less than half of the corn that is normally in the ground by this time of the year, and a lot of the crops that have been planted in the middle of the country are really struggling due to extremely wet soil.  
But it isn't just the United States that is facing a very troubling year.  Earlier today, one of my readers sent me an article entitled "Global food crisis ahead as extreme weather events devastate crops and fields around the world".  
In that article, we are told that after the worst drought in 116 years Australia has actually been forced to import wheat.  And according to the Guardian, this is the first time in 12 years that this has happened...
Australia is planning to import wheat for the first time in 12 years after drought across the eastern states saw grain production fall 20% last year
The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources confirmed this week it had issued a bulk import permit to allow wheat to be brought in from Canada to be processed for the domestic market.
Normally, Australia exports a tremendous amount of wheat.
In fact, they were the fifth largest exporter of wheat in the entire world last year.
But now they are having to bring wheat in from Canada, and that is a very ominous sign.

On The Edge Of Disaster: Majority Of Americans Living Paycheck To Paycheck

Living on the edge, being dragged down by debt, and having little hope for the future is no way to live.  But that is precisely where most Americans find themselves in 2019.  Despite a supposedly "booming economy", the middle class continues to shrink and most of the country is barely scraping by from month to month.  
In fact, a brand new survey that was just released by Charles Schwab discovered that 59 percent of all Americans are currently living paycheck to paycheck...
Overall, 59 percent of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, according to the survey of 1,000 U.S. adults by Charles Schwab.
However, the Millennial generation (people ages 23-38) was the most likely to struggle in between payday, at 62 percent, followed by Generation X (60 percent), Generation Z (55 percent) and Baby Boomers (53 percent).
I realize that those numbers look really high, but this is really where we are at as a society.
In fact, a study that was just conducted by researchers at the University of Chicago found that 51 percent of all "working adults" would not be able to cover basic necessities "if they missed more than one paycheck"...
Missing more than one paycheck is a one-way ticket to financial hardship for nearly half of the country's workforce.

Sunday night's landing of a Katyusha rocket less than half a mile from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was not merely the latest provocation on the part of Tehran in its battle of wills with Washington. More importantly, it verified Israeli intelligence revealing stockpiles of Iranian ballistic missiles in Iraq, poised to strike American targets. 
It also vindicated the dispatch of U.S. warships and fighter jets to the Persian Gulf, and the State Department's order that all non-essential diplomatic personnel evacuate Iraq immediately.
The rocket attack, then, did not come as a total shock. Still, it came two weeks after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo suddenly canceled a trip to Germany and headed to Baghdad to warn Iraqi leaders about Iran's growing influence on their soil and threat to their sovereignty.
On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump made two statements that illustrate his administration's dilemma about when or whether to engage in actual battle with the Islamic Republic.

What Progressives Actually Mean By "Tolerance"

Due to relentless influences from Hollywood and progressive activists, many people now believe that Christians are hateful people. Specifically, Christians are hateful because Christianity forbids a broad range of sexual behaviors, and secular progressives have decided that this makes Christians "homophobic." 
This term can be applied willy-nilly and irrespective of whether or not Christians do, in fact, fear or hate gay people. If Christians cannot agree that the definition of marriage can be arbitrarily changed after thousands of years, for example, this is indicative that Christians are desperately in need of the one quality progressives prize: Tolerance.
What I often wonder, though, is why "tolerance" is trumpeted as such a virtue, considering that Christianity makes a far more radical demand. Christianity doesn't demand "tolerance" for others. It demands that we love our neighbor, love our enemy, and forgive those who hurt us. 
Tolerance is a weak imitation of love. It implies that your heart can still throb with hate for someone, but as long as you don't say anything out loud, and as long as you tolerate that person's presence and veil your contempt, that's cool. 
Tolerance implies utter detachment from the wellbeing of those around you, and total disregard for their well-being. It's confusing that progressive activists get so much mileage out of lauding tolerance when in reality, it is a huge step down from the love that Christianity demands.

'Born This Way' - The Zombie Arguments that Just Won't Die

Around the Colson Center we often talk about "zombie arguments," ideas that--like the undead so popular on television--just keep getting up and shambling around, no matter how many times you kill them.
For example, there are zombie arguments about abortion--like the one that says the pre-born aren't really human. There are also quite a few zombie arguments in favor of same-sex relationships. Often, they're arguments that ran their course, outlived their usefulness in secular circles years ago, but now enjoy a kind of second life, often among self-identified Christians who want to go along with the culture.
I'm talking about arguments like, "Jesus never said anything about homosexuality," or "How does my gay marriage hurt you?" and of course, "I was born this way."
That last one showed up in my inbox recently. A gentleman who had attended a talk I gave wrote to tell me how disappointed he was in what he called my "misinformation" about homosexuality. He said (incorrectly) that in the book that I co-authored with Sean McDowell on this topic, we claimed that being gay is a choice, and that the lack of any identified "gay gene" proves this. "...there is no gene for diabetes," he wrote, "and yet it happens. There is no doubt that the LGBT community is born that way. And since God makes no mistakes," he continued, "the LGBT community is God-created just like us straight folks."

Christian Athletes Being Purged For Posting Biblical Beliefs On Social Media

It has become a regular occurrence for Christians to find themselves at the end of the unemployment line after posting about their Biblical beliefs on social media.  Now Christian athletes are finding they are increasingly becoming targets.  
In Australia, Rugby player Israel Folau has caused a meltdown after posting Bible verses that condemn various sins including homosexuality and call for repentance.
Rugby Australia said in a statement that Folau had "committed a high-level breach of the Professional Players' Code of Conduct warranting termination of his employment contract." 
After the controversy erupted, Folau said to the Sydney Morning Herald, "I'll stand on what the Bible says...I share it with love.  I can see the other side of the coin where people's reactions are the total opposite to how I'm sharing it."

Here's how the Canadians will deal with citizen journalism and narrative debunking--they'll force the taxpayers to subsidize corporate news rackets.
"Federal agencies will publish an A-list of newspapers and websites deemed reliable under a multi-million dollar subsidy program, the Department of Finance yesterday told the Senate national finance committee," reports an Ottawa website, Blacklock's Reporter.
Bill C-97 the Budget Implementation Act proposes a 15 percent tax credit to a maximum $75 for subscribers of websites operated by a "qualified Canadian journalism organization". Criteria are not known. The tax credit is projected to cost $11 million in 2020. It expires in 2024.
The bill also amends the Income Tax Act to offer lucrative payroll subsidies for news organizations "primarily engaged in the production of original written news content". A total $360 million would be paid over four years through a 25 percent payroll tax credit for publishers, the equivalent of a maximum $13,750 per newsroom employee, retroactive to January 1, 2019.
Not only will Canadians be forced at gunpoint to pay the salaries of official government script readers described as journalists, but the government is now in the process of making sure the average citizen will be prevented from viewing "misinformation" on social media.

The argument that the US must take an apologetic stance towards the theocratic establishment of Iran is being repeatedly made without the evidence of any effectiveness to back it up.
Former President Barack Obama created this policy, and insisted that it would be successful. Even as Iran flaunted its disregard for the American government, as well as human life, President Obama would continually apologize to the Iranian leaders. People often ask me when they should begin to worry about the agenda for the "global economic reset" and the controlled demolition of the economy? If economic collapse is a process rather than an event, at what point in the process will we start to feel direct consequences? 
While crash conditions in economic fundamentals have indeed already started in the final quarter of 2018, culminating in faltering housing and retail numbers as well as an inverted yield curve, the average person is only affected so far in a minor way. It's true - even during the greatest of financial depressions, only a part of the population suffers while the rest live somewhat normally.
This "relativity" in crisis changes, though, when we start talking about a currency collapse. In the event that the primary mechanism for exchange becomes unstable, as in Weimar Germany in the 1920's or in Argentina in the early 2000's, the damage to the public is almost universal except for the elitist class. In the midst of stagflationary headwinds, many people could still live a comfortable life given they are willing to make some sacrifices. But, in the midst of a currency implosion, anyone who is ill prepared will have to face the pain.
As far as timing is concerned, we can make educated guesses according to the evidence, but there is no exact science to predicting when the globalists will pull the plug completely on economic life support. They will trigger a disaster when the timing most suits them. However, I do believe there are signals to watch for.

When I was a kid, my family didn't have cable, so I watched a lot of PBS, which meant I watched a lot of "Arthur," the TV adaptation of Marc Brown's books about a cartoon aardvark who is eternally stuck in the third grade. Back then, the show dealt mostly with sibling rivalry, bullying, trouble with teachers, and not feeding your dog chocolate.
In one of the earliest episodes, Arthur's class gets a new teacher named Mr. Ratburn, who has a reputation among his students as something of a tough guy. Cowed, the show's interspecific cast of 8-year-old critters guesses at Ratburn's true identity. "I heard he's an escaped convict," whispers one. "He's really a vampire with magical powers," speculates another. The episode concludes by portraying Mr. Ratburn as just a normal guy who likes puppetry and bird-watching and expects the best from his students.
But it turns out Ratburn really was hiding something. Twenty years after his debut on the show, PBS has finally revealed the teacher's true identity: He's gay. In a season premiere over which adults on Twitter are apparently "losing it," Mr. Ratburn (who is--congratulations, you guessed it--a rat) gets married to another male character--an aardvark named Patrick.

"And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time," she added. Tlaib's comments were widely criticized as an extreme distortion of history.

2019 is turning out to be a nightmare that never ends for the agriculture industry.  Thanks to endless rain and unprecedented flooding, fields all over the middle part of the country are absolutely soaked right now, and this has prevented many farmers from getting their crops in the ground.  
I knew that this was a problem, but when I heard that only 30 percent of U.S. corn fields had been planted as of Sunday, I had a really hard time believing it.  But it turns out that number is 100 percent accurate.  And at this point corn farmers are up against a wall because crop insurance final planting dates have either already passed or are coming up very quickly.  
In addition, for every day after May 15th that corn is not in the ground, farmers lose approximately 2 percent of their yield.  Unfortunately, more rain is on the way, and it looks like thousands of corn farmers will not be able to plant corn at all this year.  It is no exaggeration to say that what we are facing is a true national catastrophe.

On Tuesday May 14, Redeemer Episcopal Church in Astoria, Queens hosted an event called "Palestinian Expulsion and Resistance: The Nakba, BDS, and the Great Return March." The scheduled speakers include BDS leaders Raja Abdulhaq, the executive director of Majlis Ash-Shura Islamic Leadership Council of New York, and Nerdeen Kiswani, founder and chair of Within our Lifetime United for Palestine.
Given that the Episcopal Church voted against BDS at its General Convention last July, the Redeemer Church's promotion of the BDS campaign raises serious questions. The Church's opposition to BDS was clearly articulated by many at the Convention, including by retired bishop Ed Little from the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana who said, "Divestment will not move us one inch forward in the peace process. It will not bring an end to the occupation. It will not lead us to the solution that we all yearn for, which is two states living side by side in peace within secure borders."
Little continued, "All it [BDS] does is make us advocates for one side in the conflict and remove us from our role as peacemakers." Indeed, as reported by William Murchison in The American Spectator, "at General Convention, they affirmed, formalistically, Israel's right to exist within secure borders."

The American "deal of the century" peace plan, which is about to be released, is built on the premise that the Palestinian Authority accepts Israel's existence, albeit not in the current borders. 
However, this is a false premise--the P.A. tells its own people, including its children and Israeli Arab children, that all of Israel is "occupied Palestine" and that Israel's existence should not be recognized in any borders.
Not sufficing with disseminating these messages to its own children, the P.A. TV children's program The Best Home is also trying to alienate Israeli Arab children from their own country. During a recent episode, for example, the host introduced an Israeli Arab boy who lives near Haifa as a resident of "occupied Palestinian lands," and cheered when the boy said "there is no such thing as Israel" and that he was actively encouraging other Israeli Arab children to see Israel as "Palestinian."
Although such statements clearly contradict those the P.A. makes to the international community, they are not unexpected; denial of Israel's right to exist is a basic tenet of the P.A.
In 2017, the current P.A. prime minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh (who was then Commissioner of Treasury and Economy and a Fatah Central Committee member), made clear that P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party, that has ruled the P.A. since its creation, still refuses to recognize Israel.

People often ask me when they should begin to worry about the agenda for the "global economic reset" and the controlled demolition of the economy? If economic collapse is a process rather than an event, at what point in the process will we start to feel direct consequences? 
While crash conditions in economic fundamentals have indeed already started in the final quarter of 2018, culminating in faltering housing and retail numbers as well as an inverted yield curve, the average person is only affected so far in a minor way. It's true - even during the greatest of financial depressions, only a part of the population suffers while the rest live somewhat normally.
This "relativity" in crisis changes, though, when we start talking about a currency collapse. In the event that the primary mechanism for exchange becomes unstable, as in Weimar Germany in the 1920's or in Argentina in the early 2000's, the damage to the public is almost universal except for the elitist class. In the midst of stagflationary headwinds, many people could still live a comfortable life given they are willing to make some sacrifices. But, in the midst of a currency implosion, anyone who is ill prepared will have to face the pain.
As far as timing is concerned, we can make educated guesses according to the evidence, but there is no exact science to predicting when the globalists will pull the plug completely on economic life support. They will trigger a disaster when the timing most suits them. However, I do believe there are signals to watch for.

The censorship of conservatives and those who buck the status quo is ongoing and increasing in intensity. Twitter has now suspended pro-Trump accounts such as MAGAphobia, which was set up to track violence against president Donald Trump's supporters.
The @Magaphobia account had defined the word as an "irrational, unfounded fear of Donald Trump or his supporters" or bigotry towards those who voted for him.

Today Twitter banned it.
The platform also suspended the @AOCPress account created by conservatives to parody freshman communist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, despite the fact that it had apparently followed Twitter rules and labeled itself as satire, according to a report by RT.
The man who ran the parody account, Jewish conservative Mike Morrison, who tweets personally at @OfficeofMike, also had his account "permanently suspended," according to conservative activist Courtney Holland.

When I was a kid, my family didn't have cable, so I watched a lot of PBS, which meant I watched a lot of "Arthur," the TV adaptation of Marc Brown's books about a cartoon aardvark who is eternally stuck in the third grade. Back then, the show dealt mostly with sibling rivalry, bullying, trouble with teachers, and not feeding your dog chocolate.
In one of the earliest episodes, Arthur's class gets a new teacher named Mr. Ratburn, who has a reputation among his students as something of a tough guy. Cowed, the show's interspecific cast of 8-year-old critters guesses at Ratburn's true identity. "I heard he's an escaped convict," whispers one. "He's really a vampire with magical powers," speculates another. The episode concludes by portraying Mr. Ratburn as just a normal guy who likes puppetry and bird-watching and expects the best from his students.
But it turns out Ratburn really was hiding something. Twenty years after his debut on the show, PBS has finally revealed the teacher's true identity: He's gay. In a season premiere over which adults on Twitter are apparently "losing it," Mr. Ratburn (who is--congratulations, you guessed it--a rat) gets married to another male character--an aardvark named Patrick.
A decade ago, this childhood "Arthur" fan might have been able to muster some ire over such a slap-in-the-face attempt at indoctrination--on public television, no less. This morning, all Ratburn's coming-out elicited from me was a weary sigh. It wasn't even surprising. Nor should it have been. 
Evidently an "Arthur" spin-off already tried to promote lesbian relationships years ago (most stations pulled it before it aired), so it didn't make much noise. This episode isn't making much noise either (aside from the aforementioned adults on Twitter "losing it" in celebration), but for a different reason: an aardvark can't tell one ant from another.

Recent developments in the Persian Gulf demonstrate that Iran has taken a strategic decision to respond to escalating U.S. financial and diplomatic pressure against it by threatening the ability of Arab Sunni states—bitter rivals of Iran and allies of America—to export oil to the world.
The message from the Islamic Republic to the Trump administration is clear: If Iran won’t be able to export its oil, neither will its Arab Sunni neighbors—and so the entire global market is at risk of disruption and destabilization.
This is a direct response to the ever-tightening sanctions being placed on Tehran by Washington. Recent U.S. steps include Trump’s decision in April to cancel sanction waivers to eight countries that purchase Iranian oil. In recent days, the United States imposed new sanctions on Iranian industrial metals. 
Last month, the State Department classified its Islamic Republican Guards Corps (IRGC)—a major player in Iran’s regional power projection, terrorism network and inside Iran’s economy—as a terrorist organization. The latter move is one that some in the American defense establishment assessed could result in retribution.
The decision by Iran to retaliate and extract “a price” for these moves must have been approved by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. It has already been translated into action on the ground, with two attacks on oil sites in recent days.

While I must admit that I have no interest whatsoever in professional sports, the invasion of biological men identifying as so-called "trans women" into female sporting events has provided us with an interesting microcosm of the ongoing debate about whether or not a biological man can, in fact, be a female. 
The answer to that question is obvious to those of us who have not bought into the recent absurdities foisted on our culture by the transgender movement, but considering the fact that we live in a time when someone can get fired for saying that men can't get pregnant, there seems to be an ample percentage of our elites willing to gulp the Kool-Aid with gusto.

The international community for years badgered Israel to leave the Gaza Strip. Israelis were told that if only the occupation ended, then Gazans would embrace peace. That the presence of Israeli soldiers and Jewish communities in Gaza were the obstacles to peace. 
That once Israel withdrew, the Gaza Palestinians would no longer have a reason to attack Israel. And that "if even a single missile were fired into Israel from Gaza," the Israeli army would be justified in reoccupying the area.
At the time, many leading Israeli military experts warned that withdrawal was a dangerous scheme.
They believed that Gaza was a vital security belt for Israel's south, and a buffer between Israel and an increasingly unstable Egypt. That Gaza under Palestinian control would become a breeding ground for Islamic terrorists and one gigantic storage depot for weapons to be used against Israel.

Imagine if tomorrow, a judge in the most liberal state in the country announced children no longer belong to their parents, they're no longer under their parents' authority. From henceforth, says the decree, kids belong to the state. Outraged parents would take to the streets! Angry and refusing to capitulate.
Well, that's not how it goes. Instead, parental rights are taken a little at a time. The outrage is avoided, and the state usurpation of parents is largely non-controversial.  The same desired results using this strategy are not only possible, but inevitable.
Allow me to illustrate. A few days ago, a judge in British Columbia issued a gag order against the father of a 14-year-old girl who identifies as a boy. Why a gag order? Because he referred to his daughter by her actual gender in public interviews.
British Columbia Supreme Court Justice Marzari also found the girl's father guilty of "family violence" for going to the press after courts ordered that his daughter be allowed to start injections of male hormones.
In fact, the judge even forbade the father from referring to his daughter as a girl, from trying to persuade her to abandon her so-called "treatment," and even from using her real name! The name he gave her. In other words, this judge has effectively forbidden this dad from even acknowledging that he has a daughter.

For example, any video defending America or Israel inevitably receives many negative responses. But no videos elicit the amount of contempt and mockery that videos defending religion, explaining the Bible or arguing for God do.

The biblical view is that people are not basically good. Evil therefore comes from within human nature. For the left, human nature is not the source of evil. Capitalism, patriarchy, poverty, religion, nationalism or some other external cause is the source of evil.

After passing the House Judiciary Committee, the "Equality Act" will soon be passed by the House and will then be sent to the Senate. This legislation would extend the federal level protections of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Until recently, most of us believed there wasn't much of a chance of the Equality Act ever becoming law. That's because it was assumed that the GOP-majority Senate, which owes its electoral viability to the support of conservative Christians, would not allow it to happen. I hope that's still the case, but there is reason to be concerned.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently announced its support for the Equality Act. This would be a game-changer because, historically, the Chamber has been a major supporter of the GOP. For instance, in the last elections it endorsed 191 Republicans and only 7 Democrats.

Unless someone backs down in a major way, this trade war is going to last for a very long time, and the Chinese have made it exceedingly clear that they are never going to back down on the core issues.  
So that means that the only way out is for President Trump to back down, and with an election looming in 2020, his advisers are telling him that now is the time to be very tough with China.  
Bernie Sanders and other top Democrats have staked out positions that are just as tough on China as Trump is being, and so if Trump backs down now he will be absolutely hammered by the other side for being weak.  
But if investors become fully convinced that a protracted trade war is in our future, that could be enough to set off a new financial crisis and throw the global economy into a tailspin.  
So it looks like we should all get prepared for an extended trade war, and this trade war is going to affect you and your family in a number of different ways.
First of all, we should all expect significantly higher prices at major retailers...
American retailers and manufacturers were largely able to absorb the 10% tariff -- narrowing their profit margins -- negotiate offsetting price cuts with Chinese suppliers, import a big stockpile of goods before the tariff took effect, and spread the added cost across many products. But a 25% duty is too much to camouflage with such tactics and a big chunk of it is expected to be passed to U.S. shoppers.
In particular, price increases will be felt most acutely at large retail chains such as Wal-Mart that purchase goods in massive quantities from China.  Needless to say, this will hurt those at the bottom of the economic food chain the most.
Secondly, this trade war will potentially result in a loss of jobs and income for many Americans.  In fact, the Trade Partnership estimates that 2.1 million U.S. jobs will be lost if Trump's next round of tariffs is imposed...

His plans to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group has the foreign-policy establishment wringing their hands at what they consider a blunder that will undermine US influence in the Middle East and throughout the Islamic world. 
Even worse, some other members of the anti-Trump resistance think that this is just one more example of the administration's rampant Islamophobia that has made religious prejudice official government policy.
But this is actually another example of how Trump's instinctive distrust of the so-called "experts" has allowed him to do what needs to be done. Like US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the administration's insistence that the Palestinian Authority stop funding terrorism, and the withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, Trump's move against the Brotherhood is long overdue.
Of course, it is tainted in some eyes by the fact that it comes right after a White House meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Egyptian leader led a coup that overthrew a Muslim Brotherhood government that had won an election the previous year. Since then, Sisi's regime has cracked down on the Brotherhood and committed widespread human-rights violations in the process.
That has led figures like Rep. Ilhan Omar to demand the release of Brotherhood leaders from Egyptian prisons and to call for normalizing relations with the group.

Imagine if tomorrow, a judge in the most liberal state in the country announced children no longer belong to their parents, they're no longer under their parents' authority. From henceforth, says the decree, kids belong to the state. Outraged parents would take to the streets! Angry and refusing to capitulate.
Well, that's not how it goes. Instead, parental rights are taken a little at a time. The outrage is avoided, and the state usurpation of parents is largely non-controversial.  The same desired results using this strategy are not only possible, but inevitable.
Allow me to illustrate. A few days ago, a judge in British Columbia issued a gag order against the father of a 14-year-old girl who identifies as a boy. Why a gag order? Because he referred to his daughter by her actual gender in public interviews.
British Columbia Supreme Court Justice Marzari also found the girl's father guilty of "family violence" for going to the press after courts ordered that his daughter be allowed to start injections of male hormones.

At PragerU, we have released about 400 videos on virtually every subject outside of the natural sciences and math. Along with 2 billion views, the videos have garnered tens of thousands of comments. So we have a pretty good handle on what people most love and most hate. 
For example, any video defending America or Israel inevitably receives many negative responses. But no videos elicit the amount of contempt and mockery that videos defending religion, explaining the Bible or arguing for God do.
There is a good reason. The Bible and the left (not liberalism, leftism) are as opposed as any two worldviews can be. While there are people who claim to hold both a Bible-based worldview and left-wing views, these people are few in number. 
Moreover, what they do is take left-wing positions and wrap them in a few Bible verses. But on virtually every important value in life, the left and the Bible are diametrically opposed.

The European Union has pledged to give the P.A. 15 million euros to cover the salaries of public employees--salaries P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas cut to keep up the P.A.'s payments to imprisoned and released terrorists, wounded terrorists and the families of dead terrorists. 
Abbas has declared that the PA is "obligated" to continue rewarding the terrorist prisoners and families of so-called "martyrs."
Earlier this year, Israel decided to withhold from the tax money it collects on behalf of the P.A. an amount equaling the sum the P.A. pays to terrorist prisoners. These prisoners include mass murderers and heads of terror organizations.

After passing the House Judiciary Committee, the "Equality Act" will soon be passed by the House and will then be sent to the Senate. This legislation would extend the federal level protections of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Until recently, most of us believed there wasn't much of a chance of the Equality Act ever becoming law. That's because it was assumed that the GOP-majority Senate, which owes its electoral viability to the support of conservative Christians, would not allow it to happen. I hope that's still t case, but there is reason to be concerned.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently announced its support for the Equality Act. This would be a game-changer because, historically, the Chamber has been a major supporter of the GOP. For instance, in the last elections it endorsed 191 Republicans and only 7 Democrats.
If the act is brought to a vote by the Senate, all that would be required is for a handful of Republicans to vote "Yes." It appears that Senator Susan Collins of Maine could be one of the Act's sponsors in the Senate. That's one down, four to go. Thus, the Chamber's endorsement could make the difference between defeat and passage.
In their statement, the Chamber of Commerce claimed, "Embracing equality has a profoundly positive impact on business performance," and that "LGBT-inclusive companies enjoy higher revenue margins, attract better talent, and have lower employee turnover."
In reality, however, The Equality Act does far more than outlaw discrimination. In the way Title VII would be amended, anyone who dissents from the new sexual orthodoxy would be comparable to the racists whose oppression of African-Americans made the Civil Rights Act of 1964 necessary.

Outside the Sebastian Church in Negombo, Sri Lanka, posters display photos of the dead. One shows a woman and three children. It reads, "Rest in peace for Pradeep Susanthas and his whole family, who were killed in the church attack. Our deepest sympathies." The church, about 20 miles north of the capital city of Colombo, was the scene of the worst carnage from the Easter Sunday suicide bombings.
Fittingly, the church is named for Sebastian (AD 288), who was clubbed to death in Rome during the reign of Diocletian. Initial reports said that more than 100 Christians died during Sebastian's Easter service in Negombo. In all, more than 250 people--Sri Lankans and internationals--were murdered in coordinated Islamist attacks on April 21 against three churches and three hotels across the island nation.

No one names their son Jehoahaz. It's just too tough to pronounce. On the other hand, most of us know a Josiah or two. Not only is it a much more pronounceable name, but as we read in 2 Kings chapter 22, "Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years ... He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left."
See, King Josiah stands out among Judah's final monarchs. Not only did he refuse to take part in idol worship, he tore down the high places and the Asherah poles, and he reinstated the worship and feasts of the true God.
According to the Bible, Josiah did all this because of a discovery in the Temple of a scroll of the Law, which had long been neglected and forgotten. He wept over Judah's disobedience and recommitted his kingdom and people to the covenant recorded in that scroll. As a result, God promised that the judgment He would eventually send would not occur during Josiah's lifetime.

While Israel absorbed as many as 700 rockets fired by the terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad from the Gaza Strip last week, the media turned the tables on the aggression and launched its usual assault on the Jewish state.

In recent years, there has been a rise in pornography producers claiming they make 'ethical porn.' They are trying to overcome the negative press around porn's link to human trafficking and sexual abuse.
Ethical pornography is described as porn that is legally made, fully respects the rights of both male and female performers (including consenting to all actions), provides violence-free and good working conditions, promotes sexual diversity, and provides fair pay. But is that the reality?
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology research fellow Megan Tyler says, "The claims about ethical porn ... are more industry propaganda than anything else, and are -- what would elsewhere be rightly recognized as -- corporate whitewashing...It's for a small segment of consumers who would like to think that their pornography consumption is unproblematic and they would like to think that what they are doing is totally different from what others are doing when, in reality, it all feeds the same commercial sex industry."
The idea of ethical porn is obviously a marketing stunt that distracts people from finding healthy sexuality. It prevents people from finding true healing for the deep wounds that are the real causes of pornography addiction.

This is the closest that the U.S. has been to a war with Iran in decades, and yet most Americans are either clueless or they don't seem to believe that it could actually happen.  And I certainly don't think that President Trump wants a war, but he is surrounded by war hawks that have been pushing an extremely aggressive "get tough" policy with Iran.  
The Trump administration has just canceled the waivers that were allowing other nations to continue purchasing Iranian oil, and the goal of that move is to reduce Iranian exports to zero.  But oil exports are 40 percent of the Iranian economy, and the Iranians understand that this move could absolutely cripple their economy. Today, the Trump administration hit Iran with new sanctions on steel, aluminum and copper industries further causing havoc with their economy.
The Iranians have threatened to close the straight of Hormuz in retaliation, and that would almost certainly provoke a U.S. military response.  In addition, it is being reported that the Iranians will announce that they are taking steps to restart their nuclear program...

Did you see the front cover of Time? It features a picture of Mayor Pete Buttigieg and his "husband," with the caption, "First Family." Why this exaltation of a fairly obscure, outlying political figure?
Could it be that he's a white male?
If anything, that would be a disqualifying factor for a Democratic presidential candidate today, even though Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are still frontrunners.
Could it be that he is young (just 37 years old)?

The daughter of a former pastor in Iran -- Dabrina Bet-Tamraz -- recently described the persecution and suffering to which her family is being subjected after being sentenced to lengthy prison terms for "crimes" related to Christianity.
Speaking from the safety of refuge in Switzerland, where she managed to flee with the help of friends, Dabrina Bet-Tamraz, the daughter of Victor and Shamiram Bet-Tamraz, told Gatestone Institute:
"I was arrested many times in Iran. I was threatened, forced to cooperate with the government against pastors, Christian leaders and church members. I was kept in custody with no legal permit, with no female officer present and in male surroundings.
"I now feel safe in Switzerland, but when Iranian MOIS [intelligence agency] officers published an article on social media with my pictures and home address -- encouraging Iranian men living in Switzerland to 'pay me a visit' -- I had to move to another house."

As of Sunday evening, four Israeli civilians have been killed after terror groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched more than 600 rockets and mortars from Gaza into Israel. By doing so, Hamas and Islamic Jihad commit a double war crime by firing at civilians while hiding behind civilians. 

A delegation of U.S. ambassadors currently visiting Israel published a joint statement in which they said, "Enough is enough!" The statement also read, "Can one imagine rockets falling on Washington, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Bern or Lisbon today without an appropriately strong reaction?"

Efraim Inbar, president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, mirrored their statement, telling JNS, "Enough is enough."

He said that while Israel "may not be able to 'solve' the intractable protracted conflict," it needs to "restore deterrence eroded over time versus Hamas, signaling to all bad guys in the Middle East that we mean business."

Despite a ceasefire in the current conflict between Israel and Hamas, Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib both felt compelled to show their support to Hamas and the other Gaza terrorists in their onslaught against Israel.

The United States declared Hamas a foreign terrorist organization in 1997. In 2007, Hamas declared its intention to to destroy America and called on Allah to annihilate every American.

Palestinian terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jiahd have fired over 700 rockets into Israel in 48 hours, killing four and injuring at least 234, not including the trauma the rocket barrage the has brought upon the Israeli civilian population - including children.

In support of the Palestinain terrorists, Omar tweeted:

"How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends? "

The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.
