Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 20 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Pride is the reservoir of sin. Wicked depravity results in
permissiveness (tolerance) when righteousness is disregarded;
permissiveness leads to rationalization (validation) when holiness is
ignored; and rationalization encourages rebellion (repulsive
insurrection, defiance) when repentance is ignored.

WICKED IMAGINATIONS
"Once you thought in your heart — I will climb to the sky; higher
than the stars of GOD I will set my throne. I will sit in the mount of
assembly, on the farthest sides of the north on the summit of Zaphon
— I will be like the MOST HIGH." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 13 - 14
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These are four of the I wills of Lucifer (Satan) as this wicked one
aspired to usurp the throne of the MOST HIGH GOD as ruler of the
universe. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 14. 12 - 15; Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 28. 11 - 17]
Lucifer was not content to be "the anointed cherub" the highest of the
archangels, he wanted to be GOD. . . and this horrendous, hideously
monstrous pride became "the condemnation of the devil" [1 Timothy 3. 6],
so that he is now "fallen from heaven" and will soon be "brought down to
Sheol, to the bottom of the Pit." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 12 - 15 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The Old Dragon, Satan the Devil, certainly is not the Omnipotent GREAT
Creator, he was a created creature. "You (the king of Tyre —
Lucifer) were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until
wickedness and wrongdoing was found in you." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 28.
15 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The Devil is a brutal Thief and a vicious Liar
and, at best, can only counterfeit. Therefore, for him to rationalize
his ambition to be like the MOST HOLY ONE, he must somehow convince
himself that he is like GOD ALMIGHTY — that is to say, that ETERNAL
LORD OF HOSTS was a created being like himself, and thus can be
defeated. How arrogant!

Instead of giving the glory and honor to the COMPASSIONATE MIGHTY
CREATOR, many men and women today view the EVER-LIVING ONE as one of
many and even think they will become gods with their own planets to
control, or believe that they are little gods already. Even the Devil
didn't go that far, he only desired to be like ALMIGHTY GOD.

Lucifer that evil beast, was the first deceiving evolutionist and this
great lie by which he deceived himself became the basis of all other
lies which are found in various religions and philosophies in modern
new-age cults. However, the ANCIENT OF DAYS is still on HIS Throne and
"the LAMB will overcome; for HE is LORD of lords, and KING of kings."
[Revelation 17. 14] HalleluYAH!! ! May we know and serve the LORD OF
GLORY as HE alone is worthy of all praise and adoration.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Blessed be the name of the LORD GOD for ever and ever for wisdom and
might are HIS. We ask YOU, MOST HOLY SAVIOR, to quicken our
understanding in the fear of the LORD, and we praise YOU for being our
SOURCE of overflowing joy!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 20 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 19 Jan 2012 - 21:54

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no distance between people of like precious faith.

GLORY IN TRIBULATION
"We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces
perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." [Romans
5. 3 - 4]

The ability to endure suffering and loss with joy is one the most
powerful proofs of the saving power of the CHRISTian faith. Paul, the
apostle endured such afflictions, but still could "glory" in the many
tribulations. Paul could actually "rejoice in hope of the glory of GOD"
[Romans 5. 2] and "rejoice in GOD through our LORD JESUS CHRIST."
[Romans 5. 11]

The remarkable ability to rejoice in tribulation characterized not only
great CHRIST-like leaders like Paul, but ordinary believers in every
walk of life. When the early CHRISTians lost all their possessions in
the great wave of persecutions they were encountering, the testimony was
that "(you) joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that
you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For
you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of GOD,
you may receive the promise." [Hebrews 10. 34 - 36]

These early believers, like countless others throughout the years,
"received the WORD in much affliction, with joy of the HOLY SPIRIT, so
that you became examples" to all who believe. [1 Thessalonians 1. 6b
– 7a] The suffering and death of the MAN OF SORROWS provided
redemption for all who trust in HIM. The saints are able to endure
tribulations with joy since we know to "rejoice to the extent that you
partake of CHRIST'S sufferings, that when HIS glory is revealed, you may
also be glad with exceeding joy." [1 Peter 4. 13]

YESHUA, the MASTER OF MERCY, is the believer's EXAMPLE and HOPE in times
of suffering. The LORD JESUS is our "LIVING HOPE" and "INCORRUPTIBLE &
UNDEFILED INHERITANCE. " [1 Peter 4. 13] And "for the joy that was set
before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at
the right hand of the Throne of GOD." [Hebrews 12. 2]

Thus, we can be "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing" [2 Corinthians 6. 10],
knowing the joy of the LORD is our STRENGTH, and the HE has promised
that "your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you."
[John 16. 22-b] When YESHUA, the LORD of all ages returns, those who
know HIM will be glorified.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
If you plant honesty, you will reap trust. If you plant goodness, you
will reap friends. If you plant humility, you will reap greatness. If
you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment If you plant
consideration, you will reap perspective. If you plant hard work, you
will reap success. If you plant forgiveness, you will reap
reconciliation. If you plant faith in MESSIAH YESHUA, you will reap a
harvest. So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you
will reap later. Two thousand years ago the Apostle Paul wrote to the
church at Galatia the same story but with fewer words, "What you sow, so
shall you reap." [Galatians 6. 7] "We are grass that will wither and die
but the incorruptible seed of GOD'S WORD will live forever - sow it
daily into the life of your family!" [1 Peter 1. 23 – 25]

Post  Admin Wed 18 Jan 2012 - 14:35

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In the Hereafter all offerings will cease except the Thanksgiving
Offering which will never come to an end.

CLEANSING POWER
"How can a young man cleanse his way and keep pure? By holding to YOUR
WORD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Paul was able to prove to the Jews around the world that the LORD
MESSIAH YESHUA was actually the fulfillment of MESSIANIC Prophecy by
using the HOLY SCRIPTURES of the Jews as all the proof he needed: "Then
Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths
reasoned with them from the SCRIPTURES, explaining and demonstrating
that the CHRIST had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and
saying— This JESUS WHOM I preach to you is the CHRIST." [Acts 17. 2
- 3]

Today as well, when we search the LIFE-GIVING SCRIPTURES for
understanding, we find it sufficient to answer all the complex and
difficult questions that come up in our lives, and especially as it
pertains to our relationship with ALMIGHTY GOD— "For whatever
things were written before were written for our learning, that we
through the patience and comfort of the SCRIPTURES might have hope."
[Romans 15. 4] And again the Apostle Paul said: "Now to HIM WHO is
able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of JESUS
CHRIST, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the
world began, but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic
SCRIPTURES has been made known to all nations, according to the
commandment of the EVERLASTING GOD, for obedience to the faith — to
GOD, alone wise, be glory through JESUS CHRIST forever. Amen" [Romans
16. 25 - 27]

The power of the WRITTEN WORD is that they provide proof of our need for
the SAVIOUR that OMNIPOTENT ONE has provided for us to accomplish what
no man is able to accomplish, and that is to remove the sin problem
from the Saints. When YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was asked about salvation, HE
clearly stated that salvation is impossible for man to accomplish for
himself. "When HIS disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished,
saying — Who then can be saved? — But JESUS looked at them and
said to them — With men this is impossible, but with GOD all things
are possible." [Matthew 19. 25 - 26]

It is only through these HOLY WRITINGS that we find the comprehensive
plan GREAT GOD OF HOSTS revealed, and HIS requirements for our lives.
Paul's advice to Timothy is appropriate for the saints of GOD MOST
HIGH today. "But you must continue in the things which you have learned
and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that
from childhood you have known the HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to
make you wise for salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS." [2
Timothy 3. 14 - 15]

Since the LORD GOD has magnified HIS WORD above HIS NAME
[Psalms/Tehillym 138. 2], we are to search the revitalizing SCRIPTURES
to find GOD'S wonderfully amazing plan of salvation. As LORD &
KING, the GREAT LOVER of our souls was willing to die on that rugged,
merciless cross to provide so great a plan. Thus, we must not mistake
sincerity for truth!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Grant, O LORD, that when the time of our departure comes, we may look
back without sorrow upon the life we leave, and with trust in YOUR mercy
enter that life which YOU have prepared for the righteous, Amen.

Post  Admin Tue 17 Jan 2012 - 13:14

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Guard well your thoughts, because they control you.

SWEET SMELL OF KNOWLEDGE
"Now thanks be to GOD WHO always leads us in triumph in CHRIST, and
through us diffuses the fragrance of HIS knowledge in every place." [2
Corinthians 2. 14]

There is a special sweet fragrance that is dispersed and spreads
throughout the world, which comes from redeemed ones living a
CHRIST-filled life. "For we are to GOD the aroma of CHRIST among those
who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the
smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to
such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the WORD OF GOD for
profit. On the contrary, in CHRIST we speak before GOD with sincerity,
like men sent from GOD." [2 Corinthians 2. 15 - 17]

In an acrostic poem, the delightful psalmist encouragingly persuades us
to, "Taste and see how good the LORD is; blessed is the man who takes
refuge in HIM! Fear the LORD, you his consecrated ones, for those who
fear HIM lack nothing...those who seek the LORD lack no good thing."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 9 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] From Solomon's Song
of Songs the sweet ROSE OF SHARON, the LILY OF THE VALLEYS, "my
perfume gave forth its fragrance. My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh
resting between my breasts. My beloved to me is a spray of henna blooms
from the vineyards of En-Gedi." [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 1. 12
14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Like an offering before the LORD, we are to be an offering of pleasing
odor to the LORD our GOD. "When I bring you out from the peoples and
gather you out of the lands in which you are scattered, I will accept
you as a sweet and pleasing aroma and I will be sanctified in you before
the Gentiles. Then, when I have brought you into the land of Israel, to
the country for which I lifted MY hand in an oath to give to your
fathers, you shall know that I am the LORD. There you shall remember
your ways and all the acts by which you defiled yourselves; and you
shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all the evils that you
have committed. Then, O House of Israel, you shall know that I am the
LORD, when I deal with you for MY NAME'S sake not in accordance
with your wicked ways and your corrupt acts declares the LORD
GOD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 20. 41 44 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Therefore be followers of GOD as dear children. And walk in love, as
CHRIST also has loved us and given HIMSELF for us, an offering and a
sacrifice to GOD for a sweet-smelling aroma." [Ephesians 5. 1 - 2]

Know that your gifts are fruits to your account, "a sweet-smelling
aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to GOD." Assuredly, "my
GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by
CHRIST JESUS. Now to our GOD and FATHER be glory forever and ever, Amen"
[Philippians 4. 19 - 20] Daily offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the
precious GOD OF HEAVEN, for HE is praiseworthy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
All glory and praise to GOD ALMIGHTY for HE is our SURE HOPE in the days
of evil. HE will not let us be put to shame not allow us to be
dismayed. Beyond doubt, our SAVIOR is worthy of praise and glory without
end!

Post  Admin Mon 16 Jan 2012 - 21:17

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Keep in mind that not every physical sensation is a symptom of a
terminal illness.

WARNINGS AGAINST DISOBEDIENCE
"If you do not obey ME and do not observe all these commandments, if you
despise MY Laws and abhor MY judgments, so that you do not observe all
MY commandments, and you break MY covenant...Then I will punish you
sevenfold for your sins. I will break the pride of your strength."
[Leviticus (Vayikra) 26. 14 - 15, 18b – 19a Tanakh, Torah]

GOD'S repeated warnings for disobedience was declared in a "sevenfold"
punishment [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 18, 21, 24, 28] if Israel continually
walks contrary to HIM, that HE would also walk contrary to them. "Can
two walk together, unless they are agreed?" [Amos (Amus) 3. 3 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Take heed, the RIGHTEOUS ONE is capable of doing exceedingly abundantly
above all which HE declares. Those punishments HE warned of range from
the Land of Promise not producing its yield of produce or fruit
[Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 20] to being chastened by eating the flesh of
one's own children [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 29] and perishing away in the
enemies' land after being scattered there. [Leviticus/Vayikra 31. 39]

However, there is a promise of restoration, if Israel would confess
their iniquity and circumcise their hearts, humble themselves and accept
their guilt; then the LORD would remember HIS covenant with Jacob, HIS
covenant with Isaac, HIS covenant with Abraham; and remember the Land.
"Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will
not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and
break MY covenant with them; for I am the LORD their GOD. But for their
sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out
of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their
GOD: I am the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 26. 44 – 45 Tanakh, Torah]

The GREAT & MIGHTY LORD GOD OF ISRAEL has promised, and what HE
promised, HE will perform. Israel will always be HIS people. "No
longer will they need to teach one another and say to his
brother—Heed the LORD — for they all shall know ME, from the
least of them to the greatest — declares YEHOWAH. For I will forgive
their iniquity and remember their sin no more. Thus says the LORD WHO
established the sun for light by day, the laws of the moon and stars for
light by night, WHO stirs up the sea into roaring waves, WHOSE NAME is
LORD OF HOSTS: If these laws depart from before ME — declares
YEHOWAH — Only then would the offspring of Israel cease to be a
nation before ME forever." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 34 – 36 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The LORD'S return is imminent. HE anxiously awaits us to come to HIM, to
obey and walk with HIM. Seek HIM while HE may be found, turn from your
wicked ways that you may be cleansed and refreshed and have friendship
with the ETERNAL KING. Life is worth living because HE lives.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O that they were wise, that they would consider their latter end! "Why
do the nations conspire and the peoples plot vain things; kings of the
earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD
and against HIS ANOINTED? The ONE enthroned in heaven laughs; the LORD
mocks them rebuking them in HIS anger and terrifies them in HIS wrath,
saying, "I have installed MY KING on Zion, MY holy mountain." So now,
you kings, be prudent; be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the
LORD in fear; rejoice with trembling, Kiss the SON, lest HE be angry and
you be destroyed in your way, when HIS wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms/Tehillym 2. 1-2, 4-6,
10-12] May the grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be with your
spirit.

Post  Admin Sun 15 Jan 2012 - 20:42

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The fence around purity is holiness.

OUR HIGH PRIEST'S ATONEMENT
"He (the high priest) shall be dressed in a sacral linen tunic, with
linen breeches next to his flesh, and be girt with a linen sash, and he
shall wear a linen turban. They are sacral vestments; he shall bathe his
body in water and then put them on...Then Aaron shall go into the Tent
of Meeting, take off the linen vestments which he put on when he entered
the Holy Place, and leave them there...The priest who has been anointed
and consecrated to serve as priest in place of his father shall make
atonement. He shall then put on the linen vestments, the holy garments;
then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary, for the Tent of
Meeting and the altar; and he shall make expiation for the priests and
for all the people of the congregation. " [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 4, 23,
32 - 33 Tanakh, Torah]

On the Day of Atonement, the High Priest would undress himself of the
glorious garments in the HOLY PLACE. To make the sacrifice, he wore only
the holy coat of fine-twined linen with the mitre and the linen
undergarments. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16] The High Priest's dress was all
white linen when he entered the Holy of Holies; whereas, in the
Tabernacle of Meeting it was blue, purple, scarlet, and gold.

The Jewish Rabbis' apparel on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is taken
from this Tabernacle custom. According to tradition, on That Day their
fathers wore the Kittel, a long white robe, which is still worn on
special ritual occasions. They interpret this to mean what their Rabbis
teach: "When people appear before a human judge they wear black, somber
clothing because they fear the possible verdict. But, when Israel
appears before the DIVINE JUDGE we wear white, since we have great
confidence in the ALMIGHTY ONE'S mercy and faith in HIS forgiveness! "

All year long, until this day, the bells on the High Priest's robe of
blue would ring clearly (because of the pomegranate pad between them)
and the children of Israel would know that he was ministering before the
MOST HIGH GOD for them. But on this solemn day, the bells were silent.
When he would put on the garments of glory and beauty again, after the
ritual was completed [Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 23] the bells would ring out
to GOD'S people that the sacrifice had been accepted by the LORD GOD OF
ISRAEL on their behalf and that their HIGH PRIEST was still alive!

Our great HIGH PRIEST, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, laid aside HIS glory
garments to make the sacrifice of HIS OWN LIFE. When the LORD JESUS
hung between heaven and earth, unwanted by both, the bells were silent;
no DIVINE Voice was heard. After HIS resurrection, HE ascended to HIS
HEAVENLY FATHER, presented the tokens of HIS sacrifice (HIS OWN precious
blood) before the Mercy Seat (in keeping with the ritual) and later
poured out the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT upon HIS waiting disciples.

Now we can understand the warning of MESSIAH YESHUA to Miryam (Mary) of
Magdala at the time of HIS appearance to her after HIS resurrection.
[John 20. 17] Why did JESUS tell her not to touch HIM? The ANOINTED
ONE, MESSIAH YESHUA, the ANTI-TYPE of the High Priest of Israel,
performed the ceremonies of the Day of Atonement exactly as he did.
Great care was taken to guard against any unclean person entering into
the Sanctuary. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 17] No one was permitted to
remain there while the High Priest officiated on the Great Day of
Atonement. No unclean person could touch the High Priest and he could
not touch anyone for fear of defilement. When the blood was applied to
the Mercy Seat and every detail carried out as GOD OMNIPOTENT commanded,
the High Priest could then be touched by hands and praised for his work,
which had been accomplished. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16 w/Hebrews 8. 1 - 6;
9. 6 - 14]

As soon as the LORD JESUS arose from the dead, HE must enter immediately
into the Holy of Holies — ascended straight to GOD THE FATHER in
heaven and present the tokens of HIS perfect sacrifice on Calvary in
order to complete this important Day's ritual. The LORD JESUS told
Miryam (Mary) Magdala the reason HE did not want her to touch HIM. . .
HE "had not yet ascended to the FATHER" — HE had not entered into
the Holy of Holies to complete the customary established ritual.
Therefore, MESSIAH YESHUA , the LIVING LORD could not allow anyone to
touch HIM, just as was the case with the earthly High Priest for the Day
of Atonement. When the LORD YESHUA entered the Holy of Holies and
concluded the ceremony at the Mercy Seat in Heaven, HE returned and met
HIS friends on earth who then could touch HIM. In truth, they held
MESSIAH'S feet worshipping HIM for the work HE had done! [Matthew 28. 9]

The 120 disciples in the Upper Room at Jerusalem knew the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, their HIGH PRIEST, lived and was in the presence of the
HEAVENLY FATHER when they heard the sound from heaven. The DIVINE
testimony (golden bells) rang clearly through the disciples proclaiming
their GLORIOUS LORD - MESSIAH - REDEEMER was ALIVE, and would continue
HIS life and work in and thru them (pomegranates which portray
reproduction) by the operation of the HOLY SPIRIT. Through HIS
called-out-ones, the evidence, testimony and witness of the LORD JESUS
CHRIST continues!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, may the MIGHTY ONE WHO separates the holy
from the secular and mundane, forgive our sins and grant us a week of
peace as we continue to learn HIS WORD and HIS WISDOM. The LORD is my
PRAISE, my STRENGTH, my FORTRESS, my REFUGE — in days of affliction,
tribulation, and at all times.
Be sure to take some of Sabbath's sweetness into your week day and
bless others with GOD'S PRESENCE flowing from you; have a super
special week.

Post  Admin Sat 14 Jan 2012 - 19:47

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Tolerance is the world's only virtue; intolerance it's only vice.

WISE MAN'S GLORY
"Thus says the LORD — Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom; let
not the strong man glory in his strength; let the rich man not glory in
his riches. But only in this should one glory: In his understanding and
earnest devotion to Me. For I the LORD act with lovingkindness, justice,
and righteousness in the world. For in these I delight — declares
the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 23 - 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

We naturally think we must do something to merit GOD'S favor, but GOD'S
WRITTEN WORD plainly declares, "GOD demonstrates HIS OWN love toward us
in that while we were still sinners, MESSIAH died for us." [Romans 5. 8]
Dear one, if you are wise, mighty or rich and proud of these things,
relying on your wisdom, might and riches, but you own not the LORD
JESUS, there is no hope for you, except you yield in perfect obedience.
Each one has to renounce all his pride, and appear at the JUDGMENT
THRONE OF ALMIGHTY GOD as a miserable sinner, looking only for mercy and
not for rewards.

This sets aside everything we might do to merit salvation as worthless,
"for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should
boast." [Ephesians 2. 8 - 9] This is the reason why GOD'S WAY of
salvation will never be popular in this world; it is not flattering to
the human race, it sets aside everything in which we can possibly pride
ourselves, and makes everything of MESSIAH YESHUA and HIS finished work
on Calvary's Cross. The KING of all ages was rejected here, and now
the question for you, dear reader, is, "Which side are you on?" Have
you taken sides with the LORD JESUS confessing HIM as your SAVIOR? If
not, let me tell you that you are on the world's side and will meet the
world's condemnation, for this world is guilty of the blood of the ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, and judgment will surely overtake it. If not
already sheltered from the coming wrath, let me persuade you, YES! even
beg of you, to "escape from the wrath to come" side with MESSIAH YESHUA.
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under
heaven given among men by which we must be saved." [Acts 4. 12]

Don't be deluded by false religion or careless indifferences, there is
ONLY ONE SAVIOR. Put your trust in the LORD JESUS CHRIST now before you
meet HIM as the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, for then it will be too late. If you
die without forgiveness, you will be lost forever. "He who glories, let
him glory in the LORD." [1 Corinthians 1. 31]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcoming Shabbat—let us go out to greet her — the bride of the
week.

Oh come, let us adore Him, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH!
Stay alert for such a time as this. . . keep watching and praying. We
have an AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the throne ruling over the affairs of
men. He is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult
times. May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

Post  Admin Fri 13 Jan 2012 - 14:18

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Endure! Persist! Live! . . . even if its only to satisfy your own
curiosity.

CONFIDENCE
"MY witnesses are you — declares the LORD — MY servant whom I
have chosen. To the end that they may know and believe in Me, and
understand that I am HE: Before ME no god was formed, and after ME none
shall exist — None but ME, YEHOWAH. Beside ME, none can grant
triumph." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

How marvelous beyond description, we can know for certain that we belong
to and are joint-heirs with the KING OF GLORY. "He who believes in the
SON OF GOD has the witness in himself; he who does not believe GOD has
made HIM a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that GOD has
given of HIS SON. And this is the testimony — that GOD has given us
eternal life, and this life is in HIS SON. He who has the SON has life;
he who does not have the SON OF GOD does not have life. These things I
have written to you who believe in the NAME OF THE SON OF GOD, that you
may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to
believe in the NAME OF THE SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 10 - 13]

This is a matter of WHO you know, not what you know. In MESSIAH YESHUA,
we have eternal life now. "For by grace you have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD." [Ephesians 2.
8] "For you, MY flock, flock that I tend, are men; and I, your SHEPHERD
(Hebrew: Roi), am your GOD — declares ADONEY YEHOWAH." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 34. 31 Tanakh, Nevi'im] I am the GOOD SHEPHERD; and I know
MY sheep, and am known by MY own." [John 10. 14] "And when HE brings
out HIS own sheep, HE goes before them; and the sheep follow HIM, for
they know HIS vOICE." [John 10. 4]

We can be confident that we belong to the ETERNAL LORD GOD because "we
know that we abide in HIM, and HE in us, because HE has given us of HIS
SPIRIT" [1 John 4. 13] and we "were sealed with the HOLY SPIRIT OF
PROMISE." [Ephesians 1. 13] "The SPIRIT HIMSELF bears witness with our
spirit that we are children of GOD." [Romans 8. 16]

Honoring, respecting, and loving the MASTER'S WRITTEN WORD will
establish confidence that we are fully known of HIM and we are actively
demonstrating honour for our BELOVED LORD. MESSIAH YESHUA made the
simple statement, "IF you love ME, keep MY commandments. " [John 14. 15]
"Now by this we know that we know HIM, if we keep HIS commandments. But
whoever keeps HIS WORD, truly the love of GOD is perfected in him. By
this we know that we are in HIM." [1 John 2. 3, 5]

"And we know that the SON OF GOD has come and has given us an
understanding, that we may know HIM WHO is true; and we are in HIM WHO
is true, in HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. This is the tRUE GOD and eternal
life." [1 John 5. 20]

When we know the LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER, there are many other things we
can be certain of, but one of the best is to "know WHOM I have believed
and am persuaded that HE is able to keep what I have committed to HIM
until that Day." [2 Timothy 1. 12] Life in the BELOVED MESSIAH is
remarkably amazing now; however, the best is yet to be!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Oh, that men would give thanks to the MASTER OF MERCY & TRUTH for HIS
steadfast love; that they would consider their latter end and return to
the WONDROUS CREATOR. The LORD remembers HIS own, so when I call to
mind, I have hope. GOD is merciful, gracious and slow to anger therefore
we are not consumed. HIS compassions do not fail, they are new every
morning. HE shows compassion according to the multitude of HIS mercies,
HIS faithfulness is great. For those who wait on HIM, the LORD is good;
and souls that hunger after HIM shall be satisfied, fully contented in
HIS PRESENCE.

Post  Admin Thu 12 Jan 2012 - 17:11

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"Saichel (Hebrew for common sense)" is a gift; "chakam (Hebrew for
intelligence) " is an triumphant achievement.

DECEITFUL USE OF HOLY SCRIPTURE
"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which
are some things hard to be understood, which those who are untaught and
unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the
SCRIPTURES." [2 Peter 3. 16]

It is essentially necessary and critically vital, that every
CHRIST-minded- person study and use the Holy Scriptures, for they
establish our only real authority, the very WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD
HIMSELF. [Matthew 5. 18; John 10. 35; 14. 26; 2 Timothy 3. 15-17; 2
Peter 1. 19-21] It is just as important, however, that we not use the
SCRIPTURE deceitfully, for this can be even more dangerous then ignoring
them altogether.

Many cults and self-centered people twist the SCRIPTURES, trying to make
them fit their own opinion or hoping thereby to give authority to their
peculiar opinion, instead of allowing the LORD GOD to say what HE means,
which HE does, in HIS WRITTEN WORD. Such distortion and mutilated
twisting of HOLY WRIT has generated numerous cults and heresies,
numerous both in the past and all too prevalent today. In essence, this
was the YESHUA'S position of the Pharisees: "In vain they worship ME,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men." [Matthew 15. 9]
"Because that people has approached ME with their mouth and honoured ME
with their lips, but has kept their heart far from ME, and their worship
of ME has been a commandment of men, learned by ritual. Truly, I shall
further baffle that people and the wisdom of its wise shall fail, and
the understanding of their prudent men shall vanish." [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
29. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In the same way, perhaps even worse, is claiming to receive new
(additional, latest, changed, another) SCRIPTURE or new (additional,
latest, changed, another) authoritative insight on existing SCRIPTURES
that the ALMIGHTY OMNIPOTENT ONE warned: "You shall not add anything to
what I command you or take anything away from it." [Deuteronomy
(Devarim) 4. 2 Tanakh, Torah] "Do not add to His Words, lest HE accuse
you and you be proved a liar." [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 6 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Cults and heretics twist, distort, add to and take from the Word of God,
but just as deadly are the ones who try to explain away the SCRIPTURES,
THE WORD OF LIFE. "If any one takes away from the words of THE BOOK of
this prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from
the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this BOOK."
[Revelation 22. 19]

This act of distorting, twisting and denying GOD'S HOLY WORD was the
very lie of the Devil which brought sin into the world . . . "Did GOD
really say??...you are not going to die!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 1, 4
Tanakh, Torah] No wonder the HOLY BIBLE has a very severe warning
against distorting, twisting and corrupting HIS HOLY WORD! "I know
that whatever ELOHIYM has brought to pass will recur evermore: NOTHING
can be added to it and NOTHING taken from it. ELOHIYM has brought it to
pass that men revere and fear HIM." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 3. 14
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, BEWARE lest you
also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of
the wicked." [2 Peter 3. 17] As believers, we emphatically must be
aware of and on guard against such deceivers that change or simply
ignore SCRIPTURE, as it is our very life that is at stake.

Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms/Tehillym 2. 1-2, 4-6,
10-12] May the grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be with your
spirit.

Post  Admin Wed 11 Jan 2012 - 20:18

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Exercise grace on others by imparting a blessing on them.

JUDGMENT IS COMING
"Each of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 12]

One absolute truth that is sure to happen to every person. . . everyone
will stand before the GREAT LORD GOD of the universe someday. Even
death is not a certainty for everyone, such as in the case of Enoch who
walked with GOD and GOD took him [Genesis/Bereshith 5. 24], Elijah went
up by a whirlwind into heaven [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 2. 11], or for the
saints that will be caught up [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17];
nevertheless, meeting GOD for an accounting of one's life is
certain! "They will give an account to HIM WHO is ready to judge the
living and the dead." [1 Peter 4. 5]

Just as the Prophet Amos warned, "Prepare to meet your GOD, O Israel!"
[Amos (Amus) 4. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "It is appointed for men to die
once, but after this the judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27] And, "As I live,
says the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall
confess to GOD." [Romans 14. 11]

For the true CHRISTian believer, however, there is no need to fear hell
for "There is therefore now no condemnation (judgment) to those who are
in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according
to the Spirit. For the Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS has
made me free from the Law of sin and death." [Romans 8. 1 - 2]

For the shed blood of YESHUA THE REDEEMER paid for our sins and
purchased our redemption. "It was our sickness that HE was bearing, our
suffering that HE endured. We accounted HIM stricken, smitten and
afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded because of our sins, HE was crushed
because of our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM,
and by HIS stripes we were healed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] The FAITHFUL & TRUE ONE "was delivered up because of our
offenses, and was raised because of our justification. " [Romans 4. 25]

Still, all "must appear before the Judgment Seat of CHRIST [2
Corinthians 5. 10], where "the fire will test each one's work, of what
sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will
receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but
he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians 3. 13
- 15]

However, those who die in unbelief, not having trusted in MESSIAH YESHUA
as their personal SAVIOR, will face the RIGHTEOUS, HOLY & AWESOME GOD
with a different verdict. John the Apostle describes this fearful
scene: "Then I saw a Great White Throne and HIM WHO sat on it, from
whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no
place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before
GOD, and Books were opened. And another BOOK was opened, which is the
BOOK OF LIFE. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the
things which were written in the BOOKS." [Revelation 20. 11 - 12] No
one can be saved by their works, "For by grace you have been saved
through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD—
not of works —lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians 2. 9]
Consequently, "anyone not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast
into the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 15]

GOD, the MOST HIGH confirmed, "the just shall live by faith." [Habakkuk
2. 4; Romans 1. 17; Galatians 3. 11; Hebrews 10. 38] Judgment is
certain. Turn to the LORD that you may receive the blessings the
ALMIGHTY ONE has prepared for those who love HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
I praise and thank YOU, ALMIGHTY ONE, for YOU comfort and delight my
soul. YOU are my ROCK and my REFUGE, in YOU I have hope and place my
trust.

Post  Admin Tue 10 Jan 2012 - 16:24

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
As a rule, men love one another — from a distance. [Shalom Aleichem]

SIMPLICITY OR KNOWLEDGE
"How long will you simple ones love simplicity? you scoffers delight in
scoffing? and you fools hate knowledge?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 22
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

It is recorded that this question, "How long will men continue to scoff
at true knowledge?" -- was being asked since early times; and it is
still a most relevant question today. HOLY SCRIPTURE gives the answer,
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning and best part of knowledge; fools
despise wisdom, discipline and instruction. " [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 7
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Apostle Peter prophesied, "scoffers will come in the last days,
walking according to their own lusts saying — Where is the promise
of His coming?" [2 Peter 3. 3 – 4] And Paul the Apostle warned, "in
the last days perilous times will come. Men will be lovers of
themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers. ..unthankful,
unholy...always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the
truth." [2 Timothy 3. 1, 2, 7]

Throughout history, men have scorned the true knowledge of GOD ETERNAL
and HIS creation. Peter revealed that they are "willingly forgetful and
ignorant." [2 Peter 3. 5] Paul again divulges, "they are without
excuse" [Romans 1. 20], but they "delight in their scorning" anyway. As
Zophar the Naamathite replied to Job, "An empty-headed man will be wise
(get understanding) , when a wild ass is born a man." [Job (Iyob) 11. 12
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

It is remarkable that their hatred of GOD'S true knowledge is cloaked in
a robe of "assumed knowledge — science" that even deceives many
professing to be followers of MESSIAH. "Professing themselves to be
wise, they become fools" [Romans 1. 22] despising the true wisdom and
instructions of GOD'S WRITTEN TRUTH. Through deceit they have turned
many from the LIVING GOD, their tongue is like a bent bow shooting
arrows of treachery, denying and blaspheming the GREAT & MIGHTY LORD OF
CREATION.

"To the Law (instruction) and to the testimony (message)! If they do not
speak according to this WORD, it is because there is no light in them
(thus there shall be no dawn)." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 8. 20] Therefore, the
need to "take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will
be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given." [Mark 4.
24] Those who scorn GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD have no wisdom or understand at
all despite their certificates, degrees, airs, pretensions or selfish
superior egotism. "The wise store up knowledge; the mouth of the fool is
near destruction, is an imminent ruin (nearing destruction) ." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 10. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would
consider their latter end!" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 29 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] The HOLY ONE OF OLD would that HE could bless them, HE gives
special emphasis in HIS LIFE-GIVING INSTRUCTIONS that HE might bless
those who hear and obey what HE says.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOUR & SHIELD
for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us. Let us offer sacrifices of
sweet aroma to the GOD OF HEAVEN continually, for HE is worthy of praise
and glory without end! O LOVING ALMIGHTY GOD, I thank YOU for being
available to anyone in search of guidance for graciously accepting our
humble prayers.

Post  Admin Mon 9 Jan 2012 - 21:32

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A Big Liar — is one whom, not only what he said isn't true, but the
opposite of what he said isn't true either.

NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH
"For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that
circumcision, which is outward in the flesh; But he is a Jew, which is
one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and
not in the letter whose praise is not of men, but of GOD." [Romans 2. 28
- 29]

The Apostle Paul is not speaking to Gentiles here but to Jews who were
trusting in the fact that they were Jews. [Romans 2. 17] Paul is
describing the true Jew who is one not only outwardly but inwardly. He
does not boast in his religion or the fact he is a Jew — there is no
pride of race in grace — but he counts all that as loss and his
trust now is in the LORD YESHUA. "For we are the circumcision, who
worship GOD in the spirit, rejoice in CHRIST JESUS, and have no
confidence in the flesh. Though I might also have confidence in the
flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more
so." [Philippians 3. 3 - 4]

Then Paul explains what it is about the flesh in which he could trust.
"Circumcised on the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of
Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the Law, a Pharisee.
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness
which is in the Law, blameless." [Philippians 3. 5 - 6]

Now Paul is counting as unnecessary and vain all those things of the
flesh in which he could have trusted. "But what things were gain to me,
these I have counted loss for CHRIST. Yes indeed, I also count all
things loss for the excellency of the knowledge of CHRIST JESUS my LORD;
for WHOM I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but
rubbish and dung, that I may win CHRIST, and be found in HIM, not having
my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through
the faith in CHRIST JESUS, the righteousness which is from GOD by
faith." [Philippians 3. 7 - 9]

Jews are again becoming the "people of GOD" just as HE promised. "Once
they were not MY people (Hebrew: lo-ammi)." [Hosea/Hoshea 1. 9 - 10]
But regardless of being cut off they would eventually multiply, be
great, and again be called the "children of GOD." "I will say to
Lo-Ammi (not my people) — You are MY people — and they will
respond — YOU are my GOD." [Hosea (Hoshea) 2. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

For this reason, CHRISTianity is not a Gentile religion, but is
completely Jewish —a relationship with the TRUE & LIVING GOD,
developed out of the Jewish faith found in both the OLD & NEW COVENANTS.
All races, classes and peoples, male & female are equal in rights and
privileges relative to the good news and benefits of the GOSPEL.
ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD does not recognize one above the other — all
are one in the body of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our LORD & SAVIOR,
MESSIAH YESHUA. To HIM be all the glory and praise now and forevermore,
Amen!

Post  Admin Sun 8 Jan 2012 - 17:33

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

A wise man hears one word and understands two. [Yiddish Proverb]

SOUND & FRUIT
"On its hem make pomegranates of blue, purple and crimson yarns all
round the hem with bells of gold between them all around: a golden bell
and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem
of the robe. Aaron shall wear it while officiating, so that the sound of
it is heard when he comes into the Sanctuary before the LORD and when he
goes out — that he may not die." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 33 - 35
Tanakh, Torah]

Upon the hem of the seamless robe of blue were pomegranates and bells
alternating. The blue, purple and crimson which is blended in this
fruit foretell of the bruising and crushing of the BLESSED SAVIOR, the
ROCK OF OUR SALVATION. The multi-seeds of the pomegranate (613 seeds,
613 commandments in the TORAH) signify fruitfulness.

The gold bell has a tongue in it. This tells of testimony, being gold,
it is DIVINE testimony. It rings clearly because there is a
pomegranate, which acts as a pad, between each bell. The softness
prevented the bells from clanging together and producing discord. The
LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH wore the spiritual fruit and bells all around
the hem of HIS seamless garment as HE walked upon the earth (the hem
hangs near the earth). YESHUA, the GALILEAN, had a clear ringing
testimony which was backed up by the fruit of HIS life. It should be
the same with CHRIST-like- ones who wear the spiritual robe of blue. It
is not by our much speaking, our preaching, nor by the miracles
performed in the NAME OF JESUS, or the GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT operating
through our life that we are known. YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE said, "by
their fruit you shall know them." [Matthew 7. 16, 20]

NEW COVENANT priests are to wear the bell with the pomegranate, not one
without the other, in order to bring a clear ringing testimony with the
FRUIT OF DIVINE LOVE to the world. First Corinthians 12 and 14 are the
"BELL" chapters, having the "TESTIMONY OF GOD'S POWER." These two
chapters surround 1 Corinthians 13, the "Pomegranate or Fruit" chapter.
The GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT must operate with and by DIVINE LOVE. Even
though the NAME OF JESUS is not mentioned in these chapters, HE is still
there. . . HE is Love!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdalah (difference) Service, we
use all of our senses: we taste the wine, smell the spices, see the
shadows of candles, hear prayers & songs, and touch family and friends
as we wish them Tov Shavua — Good Week!
Blessed are YOU, O GOD, our salvation and our help. Everything that
lives shall give thanks to YOU forever and shall praise YOUR NAME in
truth. YOUR NAME is ALL-GOOD, and unto WHOM it is becoming to give
thanks.

Post  Admin Sat 7 Jan 2012 - 17:53

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Life is often heavy...only because we attempt to carry it.

MY REDEEMER, MY ROCK & MY SALVATION
"You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold,
from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but
with the precious blood of JESUS, as of a lamb without blemish and
without spot." [1 Peter 1. 18 - 19]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was "without blemish and without spot"
and is the SUSTAINER of the entire universe. [Colossians 1. 17-b] HE
died so we unfit sinners would have hope and life through HIM. CHRIST'S
love and eternal plan leaps out of the pages of HOLY SCRIPTURE reaching
out to the blind, lame, and dumb. HE, the COMPASSIONATE ONE cares for
those who are marred, blemished and blotted with spots of sin on them.
GOD THE WORD, the ONE WHO stopped a funeral procession and raised the
dead. May we ever bow our hearts and praise such a LOVING SAVIOR!

MESSIAH YESHUA offered HIS "precious blood" to redeem unfit people like
me. HE took death upon HIMSELF so unworthy sinners might survive and
experience eternal life with HIM. Even death was unable to hold this
HOLY ONE in its grip. The PIERCED REDEEMER proved to be the LORD GOD
ETERNAL even over death itself. "The LORD lives! Blessed is my ROCK!
Exalted be GOD, my SALVATION, my DELIVERER." [Psalms (Tehillym) 18. 46
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We who were unfit and unacceptable — warped and twisted with sin,
yet now, washed spotlessly clean in HIS precious blood, follow the
leading of our BLESSED REDEEMER by extending our hearts and hands to
those who are dead in their sins. We must share the "GOOD NEWS" that
the MESSIAH, JESUS OF NAZARETH, came into this world to buy us back to
the HEAVENLY FATHER, which HE paid for with HIS shed blood. The LORD
JESUS said, "Come unto ME, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest (shalom, perfect peace). Take MY yoke upon you and learn
from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for
your souls. For MY yoke is easy (yoke of service) and MY burden (yoke of
obedience) is light." [Matthew 11. 28 - 30]

The wondrous LORD MESSIAH YESHUA should no longer be the ROCK OF OFFENSE
to either Jew or Gentile. May you accept YESHUA (JESUS) as your LIVING
MESSIAH, your SALVATION, your only REDEEMER. He is the ROCK OF ISRAEL
and the world. HE is waiting to receive you now.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcoming Shabbat! Come! let us welcome the Sabbath; may its radiance
illumine our hearts as we kindle the candles.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE. The LORD is my LIGHT and my
SALVATION.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE in man. The spirit of man is the
light of the LORD.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE Law. For the commandment is a Lamp
and the Law is a Light.
Light is the symbol of Israel's mission. I, the LORD, have set you for
a covenant of the people, for a light to the nations.
Therefore, in the spirit of our ancient tradition that hallows and
unites Israel in all lands and all ages, let us go forth with the light
of GOD'S WORD to the nations as HE commanded.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Fri 6 Jan 2012 - 16:37

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Tradition is a protective fence for the TORAH. Tithes protect wealth,
vows protect abstinence, silence protects wisdom. [Rabbi Akiva]

EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY
"Now to HIM WHO is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we
ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to HIM be glory
in the church by CHRIST JESUS to all generations, forever and ever.
Amen." [Ephesians 3. 20 - 21]

This SCRIPTURE assures us of GOD'S amazing, unlimited ability to
answer our prayers and is related to the unique "power that works in
us." The Apostle Paul used this same word twice before in the epistle to
the Ephesians speaking of "the exceeding greatness of HIS power toward
us who believe" and "the gift of the grace of GOD given to me by the
effective working (energy) of HIS power. [Ephesians 1. 19; 3. 7]

Such power working in us is actually nothing less than the PRESENCE OF
GOD HIMSELF. This is first found in the model prayer that MESSIAH
YESHUA prayed when HIS disciples asked HIM to teach them to pray—
"For YOURS is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen"
[Matthew 6. 13] It is this "power of GOD to salvation for everyone who
believes" [Romans 1. 16] which is received when we first believed and
trusted on MESSIAH through the GOSPEL. It has been so ever since the
fulfillment of MESSIAH'S promise when HE declared to HIS disciples
that "you shall receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to ME." [Acts 1. 8] The disciples, were
"endued (enabled, authorized, armed, equipped) with power from on high"
[Luke 24. 49], as are we.

This remarkable power of GOD is imparted to us and energized in us by
the enabling of the HOLY SPIRIT. So, we can be filled "with all joy and
peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the HOLY
SPIRIT." [Romans 15. 13]

The LORD YESHUA is our INVINCIBLE REFUGE for all time even throughout
eternity, for we "are kept by the power of GOD through faith for
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." [1 Peter 1. 5] With
such a HEAVENLY RESOURCE of unlimited spiritual power working in us, GOD
is more then able to accomplish far more than we can ever imagine, as HE
works in and through those yielded to HIS perfect will.

To our glorious and WISE GOD through the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH all
things are possible. In CHRIST my SAVIOR, I greatly rejoice!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Shalom Chaverim (friends)—Ahavah u brachot b'shem Moshiach Y'shua
—Blessings, love and peace in the NAME OF MESSIAH YESHUA.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Thu 5 Jan 2012 - 21:04

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When you see a bargain, grab it!

UNSEARCHABLE RICHES
"The LORD created and possessed me at the beginning of HIS course, as
the first of HIS works of old. I was fashioned and established from
everlasting, at the beginning, before the origin of earth." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 8. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Proverbs continually praises the virtues of true wisdom, founded on the
fear of the LORD. Beginning with Proverbs 8:22 the theme changes going
back in time to the creation week itself and before. The LORD'S Ways
were prior to HIS Works. And, HE fashioned and possessed wisdom from
everlasting.

The INCARNATE WORD of John 1:1-14 possesses all the "DIVINE WISDOM" of
Proverbs 8:22-31. The attributes and integrity of MESSIAH YESHUA fits
all the statements in this particular section of Proverbs perfectly,
which then gives marvelous new insight into the events of creation and
the DIVINE fellowship in the GODhead before the creation.

The NEW COVENANT also makes it plain that YESHUA ha'MASHIACH indeed
possessed INCARNATE WISDOM of ALMIGHTY GOD. HE is "THE WORD" by WHOM
all things were made. [John 1. 1 - 3] The LORD JESUS is "The Truth"
[John 14. 6] and "The Light" [John 8. 12] through WHOM alone men must
come to GOD THE FATHER and follow the ANOINTED ONE explicitly. CHRIST
JESUS, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, perfectly demonstrates "the power and
wisdom of GOD." [1 Corinthians 1. 24; Luke 11. 49]

Paul acknowledged the wisdom in the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH: "I should
preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of MESSIAH, and to
make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the
beginning of the ages has been hidden in GOD WHO created all things
through JESUS CHRIST; to the intent that now the MANIFOLD WISDOM of GOD
might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in
the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which HE
accomplished in Christ JESUS our LORD, in WHOM we have boldness and
access with confidence through faith in HIM." [Ephesians 3. 8 - 12]

All the so-called "knowledge" of the world is empty and futile apart
from the LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO is the LIVING, POWERFUL WORD OF GOD. In
HIM alone are found "ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"
[Colossians 2. 3] "for in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODhead
BODILY." [Colossians 2. 9]

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, the MANIFEST WORD does great things. . . Yes!
wonders without number. How unsearchable are HIS judgments and HIS ways
past finding out!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Take delight in approaching GOD and the glory of the LORD will be your
reward. HE will protect and guide you continually, satisfying your soul
like a watered garden, who's water fails not.

The 10th of Tevet (January 5 this year) is a fast day marking the onset
of the siege of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and
the beginning of the battle that ultimately destroyed Jerusalem and the
Temple of Solomon, and sent the Jews into the 70-year Babylonian Exile.
The date, the 10th of Tevet, is recorded by the Prophet Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) who himself was already in Babylon as part of the first
group of Jews exiled there by Nebuchadnezzar some 11 years earlier than
the actual destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem itself.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD doesn't ask the impossible of us — only the incredibly
difficult.

TEACH YOUR CHILDREN
"Hear, O Israel! The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE. You shall love the
LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your might. Take to heart these instructions with which I charge you
this day. Impress them upon your children. Recite them when you stay at
home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind
them as a sign on your hand and let them serve as a frontlet symbol on
your forehead between your eyes, inscribe them on the doorposts of your
house and on your gates." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 4 - 9 Tanakh, Torah]

It is a great privilege and a great opportunity when a father and mother
make a united effort to come together and bring their children to the
LORD GOD. IF they would only ask GOD'S holy guidance to be in their
home. . . the GREAT & MIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS will not disappoint them.
Society may change, but the WORD OF GOD is unchanging and abides
forever. As the truth is passed from one generation to the next, a
sense of stability is developed within the heart of the child.

The AUTHOR & FINISHER of our salvation charges us to bring all our
children Home to Glory with us. A parents highest responsibility and
obligation is to teach their children. Hold your children secure and
confidently by the hand and lead them to the MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL.
Children learn by example — words alone are never heard IF there is
no exposure to an example. Remain obedient to the LORD GOD for HE goes
before you to prepare the way. HIS love and mercy can change any
situation for the good and for HIS glory.

As we bring our children to righteousness in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH and
teach HIS ways as directed, the LORD will bless them. To present an
offering to HIM, a clean heart is needed first. It is a parents sacred
duty to transmit the CHRISTian heritage to their children so they will
walk in the ways of the MOST HIGH, to be holy, righteous, just, and
honorable. GOD`S children of are different from other children,
they are set apart and made HIS heirs. "Therefore, if anyone is in
CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all
things have become new" [2 Corinthians 6. 17] "…and if children,
then heirs — heirs of GOD and joint heirs with CHRIST." [Romans 8.
17]

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child,
thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish
things." [1 Corinthians 13. 11] By teaching GOD-given principles to
our children and a relationship with the HIGH & EXALTED KING of all
ages, then and only then can we be confident that we will receive an
imperishable crown. And not to us only, but also to our beloved
children who have learned to love HIS appearing, to fight the good
fight, and keep the faith. What a great joy children can be, IF
parents would only do as the SACRED SCRIPTURES command, teaching and
setting the example in holy living.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
LORD, help us to break down the barriers which keep us from You. . .
falsehood & faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice &
hard-heartedness. Enable us to fully realize that our need of YOU is not
partial, but total. Prepare our hearts to enjoy YOU, O MOST HOLY ONE to
praise and glorify YOU throughout the world.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Compassion must not influence the law's decision.

HARD HEARTS
"Later HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) appeared to the eleven as they sat at the
table; and HE rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they
did not believe those who had seen HIM after HE had risen." [Mark 16.
14]

Many people, including numerous CHRISTians, are afflicted with the
spiritual hardening of the heart, and there are several references to
this fact in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. The first was in Egypt's unbelieving
Pharaoh— The LORD said to Moses, "I will harden his heart so that he
will not let the people go." [Exodus (Shemot) 4. 21 Tanakh, Torah] Then
when the children of Israel did escape Pharaoh's persecutions, they also
contracted this debilitating attitude: "Do not be stubborn and harden
not your heart, as at Meribah, and as in the day of Massah, in the
wilderness, when your fathers put ME to the test, tried ME, though they
had seen MY deeds." [Psalms (Tehillym) 95. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Even the disciples of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH were rebuked by
HIM for their hardness of heart. Regardless of the OLD COVENANT
prophecies, and JESUS' own frequently repeated promise that HE would
rise from the dead, the disciples forsook HIM and fled into hiding when
HE was arrested. Some were even skeptical and doubted the first reports
of MESSIAH'S resurrection until they saw HIM for themselves. HIS
rebuke, in essence, compared their unbelief with hardness of heart.

If this "hardness of heart" and "unbelief" could exist in the eleven
disciples, it could surely happen to us IF we allow it. Beware!
brethren, for fear that there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief
in departing from the LIVING GOD! We need to "exhort one another
daily, while it is called "Today" lest any of you be hardened through
the deceitfulness of sin. Today, if you will hear HIS voice —
Listen!!! do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." [Hebrews 3. 12
- 13, 15] We are partakers of CHRIST JESUS, if we hold the beginning of
our confidence (faithfulness) and remain steadfast to the end.

The GREAT & MIGHTY GOD is the HOLY ONE WHO fights for us in our
wilderness, WHO changes our bitter waters into sweet, WHO speaks to us
in our daily lives and is our very LIFE'S BREAD. How can we help but
love the EVER-LIVING LORD GOD with all our heart and follow HIS
commands!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Blessed are YOU, O GOD, our salvation and our help. Everything that
lives shall give thanks to YOU forever and shall praise YOUR NAME in
truth. YOUR NAME is ALL-GOOD, and unto WHOM it is becoming to give
thanks.

Post  Admin Mon 2 Jan 2012 - 9:16

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Peace is not the absence of pain. Peace is not the absence of pressure. Peace is confidence that the ALMIGHTY CREATOR knows what HE is doing and allowing HIM to reign and guide your life.

A NEW YEAR PRAYER
O LORD, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare YOUR praises. YOU are blessed, O LORD our GOD and GOD of our fathers, GOD of Avraham, GOD of Isaac, and GOD of Jacob, the great, mighty and revered GOD, the MOST HIGH GOD, WHO bestows lovingkindness, and possesses all things, who remembers the pious deeds of the patriarchs, and in love will bring the REDEEMER to their children's children for YOUR REVERED NAME'S sake.

Remember us unto life, O KING, WHO delights in life, and inscribe us in the BOOK OF LIFE, for YOUR OWN sake, O LIVING GOD. O KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD. Blessed are YOU, O LORD, the SHIELD of Abraham. YOU, O LORD, are mighty forever; YOU quicken the dead, YOU are mighty to save.

LORD, YOU sustain the living with lovingkindness, quicken the dead with great mercy, support the falling, heal the sick, loose the bound, and keep YOUR faithfulness to them that sleep in the dust. Who is like YOU, LORD of mighty acts, and who resembles YOU, O KING, WHO kills and quickens, and causes salvation to spring forth?

Who is like YOU, FATHER OF MERCY, WHO in mercy remembers YOUR creatures unto life? Yes! faithful are YOU to quicken the dead. Blessed are YOU, O LORD, WHO quickens the dead. YOU are holy and YOUR NAME is "HOLY" and holy beings praise YOU daily. —Selah

Now, therefore, O LORD GOD, CAPTAIN OF THE HOST OF THE LORD, impose YOUR awe upon all YOUR works, and YOUR dread upon all that YOU have created, that all works may fear YOU and all creatures prostrate themselves before YOU that they may all form a single band to do YOUR will with a perfect heart, even as we know, O LORD our GOD, that dominion is YOURS, strength is in YOUR hand, and might in YOUR right hand, and that YOUR NAME is to be feared above all that YOU have created.

Give then glory, O LORD, unto YOUR people, praise to them that fear YOU, hope to them that seek YOU, and free speech to them that wait for YOU, joy to YOUR land, gladness to YOUR City, a flourishing horn to David YOUR servant, and a clear shining light to the SON of Jesse, YOUR ANOINTED, speedily and in our days.

Then shall the just also see and be glad, and the upright shall exult, and the pious triumphantly rejoice, while iniquity shall close her mouth, and all wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke, when YOU, my EVERLASTING PRAISE, make the dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth.

And YOU, O LORD, shall reign, YOU alone over all YOUR works on Mount Zion, the dwelling place of YOUR wondrous splendor, and in Jerusalem, YOUR Holy City, as it is written in YOUR HOLY WORDS, "The LORD shall reign forever, your GOD, O Zion, unto all generations. HalleluYAH." [Psalms (Tehillym) 146. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

LORD GOD, YOU are holy, and dreaded is YOUR NAME, and there is no god beside YOU, as it is written— "And the LORD OF HOSTS is exalted by judgment, the HOLY GOD OF CREATION is sanctified in righteousness, proved holy by justice." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 5. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Blessed are YOU, O LORD, the GLORIOUS HOLY KING.

YOU have chosen us from all peoples, YOU have loved us and taken pleasure in us, and have exalted us above all tongues; YOU have sanctified us by YOUR commandments, and brought us near unto YOUR services, O our KING, and have called us by YOUR GREAT & HALLOWED NAME. Blessed be the MAGNIFICENT NAME OF OUR LORD. Amen

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We cover you continually in our prayers and carry you in our hearts as we enter another year.
Our prayer: "FATHER, we ask YOU to bless our friends and family as we enter another year of service to YOU, the CHAMPION DEFENDER of our faith. We humbly ask YOU to minister to their spirit. Where there is pain, give them YOUR peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubting, release a renewed confidence in YOUR ability to work through them. Those who are tired and exhausted, we ask YOU to give them understanding, patience and strength as they learn submission to YOUR leading. Where there is spiritual stagnation, we ask YOU, LORD GOD to reveal YOUR nearness, drawing them into a greater intimacy with YOU. Where there is fear, reveal YOUR love and release to them YOUR boldness and courage. Where there is a sin blocking that intimate relationship with YOU, reveal it and break its hold over our loved one's life. Bless their finances, give them greater vision and raise up leaders and more friends to support and encourage them. Give each of our cherished ones discernment to recognize the evil forces around them and reveal to them the mighty power they have in YOU to defeat the foes. This we ask of YOU in the precious name of JESUS, the MESSIAH & KING."
"Now to HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the PRESENCE OF HIS GLORY with exceeding joy, to GOD our SAVIOR WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen!" [Jude 25] May the LORD YESHUA dwell in your heart and keep you rooted and grounded in love and fill you with all the glorious blessings from GOD MOST HIGH.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 20 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sat 31 Dec 2011 - 15:04

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Life is not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice — "Choose
Wisely."

NEW YEARS MEDITATION
O ETERNAL ONE, WHO gives meaning to the strivings of men, attune our
hearts for communion with YOU. Open my lips, and my mouth shall declare
YOUR praises. YOU are Holy, and YOUR NAME is holy and YOUR worshipers
proclaim YOUR holiness. Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD.

O LIVING GOD, YOU are blessed, my KING, my HELPER, my SAVIOR & SHIELD.
YOU, O LORD, are mighty forever; YOU quicken the dead, YOU are mighty to
save. YOU sustain the living with lovingkindness, quicken the dead with
great mercy, support the falling, heal the sick, loose the bound and
keep YOUR faith to them that sleep in the dust.

How often, when everything else fails us, do we yearn for YOU, our
MIGHTY CREATOR. In the stillness of the night, in the press of the
crowd, in the agony of inner conflict, we bow our heads, and at that
moment, YOU are in our hearts and we are at peace. We do not know, O
MERCIFUL LORD, whether the gifts for which we ask are for our good,
whether our trials and tribulations may not be blessings in disguise,
whether even the fragments of our shattered hopes and dreams may not
minister to the up-building of other lives and the fulfillment of YOUR
unfathomable plan. So we do not pray that YOU make our lives easy, to
give us happiness without adversity. Rather we pray that YOU continue
to help us to be uncomplaining and unafraid. Teach us to face life with
faith and courage that we may see the blessings hidden away even in its
conflicts and struggles. Help us to find victory in the discipline of
pain transforming all things into loving obedience. May we seek the
face of GOD because HE is GOD.

May we realize that life calls us, not merely to enjoy the fatness of
the earth, but to rejoice in heights attained after the toil of
climbing. Then, our darkness will be illumined by YOUR GLORIOUS LIGHT
and our weakness made strong by YOUR strength, lifting us above fear and
defeat, and sustaining our steps with an immortal hope.

The ALMIGHTY ONE is HOPE to them that wait for HIM, JOY to the Land of
Israel, and GLADNESS to the City of Jerusalem; and a FLOURISHING HORN to
HIS servants. The SON OF JESSE, HIS ANOINTED, is a CLEAR SHINING LIGHT
to those who fear HIM. O, give glory and praise to the LORD GOD
OMNIPOTENT!

Then shall the just also see and be glad, and the upright shall exult,
and the pious triumphantly rejoice, while iniquity shall close her
mouth, and all wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke, when YOU
LORD my GOD make the dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth.

And YOU, O ALMIGHTY LORD, shall reign, YOU alone over all YOUR works on
Mount Zion, the dwelling place of YOUR glory, and in Jerusalem, YOUR
Holy City, as it is recorded in YOUR HOLY WRITTEN WORD, "The LORD shall
reign forever, your GOD, O Zion, for all generations. HalleluYAH."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 146. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Highly exalted and praised are YOU, O LORD our ETERNAL GOD, the STAY &
TRUST of the righteous. Amen!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Good Sabbath! Come my dear friend, to meet the Bride, the Sabbath
presence, let us welcome. We honor and praise the LORD YESHUA, the ONE,
WHO gives true Sabbath peace and rest and separates the sacred from the
ordinary.
Refresh yourself and others in the wisdom & discernment, love &
kindness of the ALMIGHTY ONE — that you continue to experience some
of the sweetness of Sabbath daily.

Hakarot hatov — means "recognizing the good" or
"gratitude." We should always recognize the good we have;
acknowledge we do not deserve it; identify the source (if it is from GOD
or man); then, express our deep thanks to them. You are in our hearts
and daily prayers as we step into another year — may GOD be with you
and strengthen you, giving you wisdom, discernment, mercy and grace!

Post  Admin Fri 30 Dec 2011 - 23:09

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Old age is like a plane flying through a storm. Once you're aboard,
there's nothing you can do. [Golda Meir]

NUMBERING OUR DAYS
"So teach us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a heart of
wisdom." [Psalm (Tehillym) 90. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This prayer of counsel is written as a psalm, as a great word of advise
written by Moses as he was about to finish his long life of service to
the SUPREME Lord. He had lived 120 years, though the normal life span
is only seventy or eighty years. Moses' first 40 years were spent
serving the Egyptians; his next 40 years were tending sheep for his
father-in-law Jethro in Midian, and then his service for GOD was 40
years delivering Israel from Egyptian bondage and shepherding them in
the wilderness on the way to the Promised Land.

Thus, Moses stressed the vital importance of "numbering our days" so
that we may determine to wisely use whatever time we have individually.
In Deuteronomy Moses also wrote: "Oh, that they were wise, that they
understood this, that they would consider their latter end!"
[Deuteronomy/ Devarim 32. 29]

The SOVEREIGN ONE counsels throughout HOLY SCRIPTURE to number our days
while "redeeming the time." [Colossians 4. 5] We know not when the LORD
will return or death will overtake us. "Walk circumspectly (carefully),
not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are
evil." [Ephesians 5. 15 - 16] "Do not boast of tomorrow, for you do
not know what a day will bring forth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 27. 1 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your
life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then
vanishes away." [James 4. 14]

Whatever this NEW YEAR may bring into your life, be it chaos,
prosperity, or death, no matter what evil comes on this earth — the
days will still afford opportunity to serve the LOVING ETERNAL GOD, our
MIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS. "Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us but to YOUR
NAME bring glory, because of YOUR love, YOUR faithfulness, and YOUR
mercy." [Psalms (Tehillym) 115. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Beloved, "build
yourselves up on your most holy faith — keep yourselves in the love
of GOD, looking for the mercy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST unto eternal
life." [Jude 20 - 21] Whatever time we have, let us make our days count
exclusively for the MASTER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Thank you for being a part of our life! As we enter another year, we
prayerfully urge each of you to walk worthy of the calling with which
you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the
HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD in the bond of peace. What we can accomplish on our
own is hardly noteworthy. But, in the hand of the MASTER, our life's
work can be truly beautiful. May the grace of our precious LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH be with your spirit every moment of each new day.
Our prayerful desire for you: Comfort on difficult days; Smiles when
sadness intrudes; Rainbows to follow the clouds; Laughter to kiss your
lips; Sunsets to warm your heart; Gentle hugs when spirits sag;
Friendships to brighten your being; Beauty for your eyes to see;
Confidence for when you doubt; Faith to believe; Courage to be bold;
Patience to accept the truth; and tender Love which is eternal.

We asked GOD to bless you when we prayed for you today, to guide you and
protect you on your way — HIS love is always with you, HIS promises
are sure. No matter what tribulation comes, HE is faithful to see us
through. So when the road you're traveling seems difficult at best, give
your problems to the LORD and our MIGHTY & Awesome GOD will do the rest.
Love, in MESSIAH'S service — Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Blessed be the generation in which the great in wisdom accept the
authority of the humble.

GET WISDOM
"Where can wisdom be found? and where is the source of understanding? "
[Job (Iyob) 28. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men have been searching for this most valuable of all treasures since
time began. Eve first fell into sin as she was tempted by Satan, the
great deceiver, to believe that the "forbidden fruit" would make her
wise. Even before Abram left Ur of the Chaldeans, the Patriarch Job
(Hebrew: Iyowb can mean any of the following: persecution, persecuted
one, to come back, repent) was asking this ancient question of his three
critical friends, but they could not answer.

Valuable metals can be dug from the rocks of the earth [Job/Iyob 28.
1-2] but, wisdom cannot be mined by hard searching and labor. Neither
can it be purchased like some commodity. [Job/Iyob 28. 13 - 19] Wisdom
is not acquired through schooling, college degrees, philosophical
meditation, or any variety of human experience or study.

Wisdom can only be found in ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF, for "GOD understands
the way to it; HE knows the SOURCE." [Job (Iyob) 28. 23 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "HE said to man— See! Fear of the LORD is wisdom; to shun
and depart evil is understanding. " [Job (Iyob) 28. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

True Wisdom is to be found only in the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA "WHO became
for us WISDOM from GOD." [1 Corinthians 1. 30] In HIM alone "are
hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." [Colossians 2. 3]
Since the HOLY SCRIPTURE constitute HIS WRITTEN WORD, we find wisdom
there. "Let the WORD of CHRIST JESUS dwell in you richly in all
wisdom." [Colossians 3. 16]

If one desires wisdom — real GODly wisdom — he first must fear
of the LORD, then departure from all evil and receive MESSIAH YESHUA as
REDEEMER, SAVIOR & SOVEREIGN LORD. Next, diligently pursue to learn and
obey HIS SACRED WRITTEN WORD. "For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge
and discernment are by HIS decree. HE reserves ability for the upright
and is a SHIELD for those who live blamelessly, guarding the paths of
justice, protecting the way of those loyal to HIM. You will then
understand what is right, just, and equitable — every good course.
For wisdom will enter your mind and knowledge will delight you."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 6 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The 8th Light is the Light of Courage. Let truth and justice be your
armor and fear not, the ALMIGHTY ONE is with you.

As we celebrate the last night (evening-to- evening) of Chanukkah, our
prayer for each of you is to be strong and of good courage; be bold as
you proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Salvation to all.

Holy are YOU, and feared is YOUR NAME, and there is no GOD beside YOU.
The LORD OF HOSTS is exalted in judgment, and the HOLY GOD is sanctified
in righteousness. Blessed are YOU, O LORD, the HOLY RIGHTEOUS KING.

The LORD bless and keep you throughout the coming days! Go with GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Having completed the Torah (books of Moses), and the New Testament, we
are now going through the book of; [Isaiah].

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The yoke of GOD can never fit the stiff necked.

BEARING OUR OWN BURDEN
"But let every man prove his own work and then he will have rejoicing in
himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own
burden (responsibility) ." [Galatians 6. 4 - 5]

Every CHRISTian will bear before ALMIGHTY GOD the responsibility of his
own personal life of service. How well did he do the will of GOD? How
well did he serve his LORD? "But let every man prove his own work. For
we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of CHRIST; that each one may
receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done,
whether it be good or bad." [2 Corinthians 5. 10] "So then every one of
us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 12] When we
stand before the LORD YESHUA, our MAKER, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, we will
give an account of our own work, not someone else's. Every man shall
bear his own burden (responsibility) .

The burden (steadfast commitment, responsibility) we must bear before
ALMIGHTY GOD is the yoke of service and obedience to MESSIAH YESHUA.
"Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME...for MY yoke is easy, and MY
burden is light." [Matthew 11. 29 - 30] The yoke is not too heavy to
carry because it is founded on love and provides a clear conscience
before ALMIGHTY GOD.

In fact, the yokes of Satan are exceedingly heavier and difficult, by
far, for they are filled with guilt of conscience and anguish of soul.
The weighty sins of the world are heavier to bear then than anything the
LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would ask HIS precious child to shoulder. The
words "easy" and "light" expressively describe this fact. What
OMNIPOTENT GOD of creation calls HIS chosen ones to do, he can do
because he is yoked to the ROCK OF OUR SALVATION, CHRIST JESUS.
"Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be
well-pleasing to HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 9]

"Each man's work will become manifest; for The Day will declare it,
because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test every man's
work, of what sort it is. If any man's work which he has built on it
endures, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned, he will
suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." [1
Corinthians 3. 13 - 15] As we bear our burden faithfully and
patiently, we definitely are being refined, polished and purified. . .
and by HIS grace, made into HIS glorious likeness.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
LORD, YOU are my GOD, I desire to be YOUR chosen, to know and believe
and understand YOUR ways. Yes! YOU alone are GOD, CREATOR OF ISRAEL,
the KING OF GLORY.
We cover you, our precious friends, with our love and prayers; and we
are most grateful for your faithfulness and blessings showered upon us.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The flame is the only physical item that defies gravity. . . it reaches
ever upward; like the soul of man which constantly strains for the
heavens. The natural state of the soul is to grow. Like the flame, the
more it burns, the smaller the candle becomes. Likewise with the soul
of man, the more the soul grows, the more the physical diminishes.
[Rabbi Alex Chapper]

INCARNATE GOD
"For unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON is given,
And the government shall be upon HIS shoulder
And HIS NAME shall be called
— WONDERFUL
— COUNSELOR
— THE MIGHTY GOD
— THE EVERLASTING FATHER
— THE PRINCE OF PEACE." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6]
"For there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must
be saved." [Acts 4. 12]

MESSIAH YESHUA came almost 2,000 years ago as a LAMB to die.
A CHILD was born, perfect humanity.
A SON was given — undiminished DEITY.
The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is coming again as a LION from the tribe
of Judah to rule.
And when HE does, the government will be upon His shoulder.
HE will reign in absolute authority.
HE was given names to indicate the character of that future reign.
WONDERFUL. . . because that is where HIS attributes begin.
COUNSELOR. . . because HE will govern with faultless discern-ability.
THE MIGHTY GOD. . . because HE will rule with absolute authority.
THE EVERLASTING FATHER. . . because HE will possess endless longevity.
PRINCE OF PEACE. . . because HIS KINGDOM will be typified by eternal
tranquility.
A CHILD was born — A SON was given.
And because HE was, there is an answer to our questions,
THE SOLUTION to our problems,
THE HOPE for our end.
ALMIGHTY GOD won the destiny for Abraham's offspring
By the birth of THIS BABY. . . such a "FRAGILE THREAD"
From which to hang the heavy hopes and dreams of a people!
And yet, how consistent it was with GOD'S promises;
An expression of HIS ATTRIBUTES to HIS OWN GLORY.
GOD was motivated by HIS gracious and loving nature.
Therefore, we can rejoice exceedingly in the ETERNAL MESSAGE of
CHRISTmas.

May the brightness of HIS SALVATION light your way and guide you through
the wilderness of this world and bring you to eternally safety in HIS
Magnificent Home in Glory Land.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The 7th Light is the Light of Justice. Thus said King David, "Trust in
the LORD and wait patiently for HIM!" Nothing can be achieved in haste.
The spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. May
the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE
allows to make you strong.
As we celebrate Chanukkah — the bright glow of the candles causes
us to remember the wonders reflected upon the SERVANT WHO bent down to
bring light to those whom HE served. May the flame of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others this
holiday season, and always.
Wishing you every happiness and fulfillment during this Festival of
Lights!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Draw me nearer to YOU, LORD JESUS with the breath of love. Swiftly shall I come to stand within YOUR radiance that I may attain that sweetness of all intimacies!

BETHLEHEM'S BABE
"And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, least among the clans of Judah, from you ONE shall come forth to be the RULER in Israel for ME — ONE WHOSE origin is from old, from ancient times." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This explicit prophecy of the birth of the future KING OF ISRAEL in the little village of Bethlehem was nearly 700 years before YESHUA, the PROMISED ANOINTED ONE ultimately and remarkably came to earth. Then the ALMIGHTY WONDROUS LORD of all grace used the illustrious Emperor Augustus in Rome to make a decree for a census and taxation, compelling Joseph to take his espoused wife Miryam (Mary) to the little town of Bethlehem for her CHILD to be born there.

An actual birth is incredibly clear as the text uses the verbiage "come forth" along with the warning that GOD would "leave them helpless, until she who is to bear has given birth." [Micah (Michah) 5. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im] SCRIPTURE also reveals: "they will strike the RULER OF ISRAEL (this SOON-COMING RIGHTEOUS JUDGE) on the cheek with a staff" [Micah/Michah 5. 1], speaking of the rejection and execution of MESSIAH YESHUA.

Furthermore, the prophecy not only foresees YESHUA'S birth in Bethlehem, HIS rejection and denial by HIS OWN people, and HIS eventual rule as SOVEREIGN KING over Israel and the whole world; but also that this same remarkable PERSON HIMSELF was GOD OMNIPOTENT! YESHUA had been "from everlasting. " HE is eternal proceeding from GOD THE FATHER. JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE, did not become GOD'S SON when HE was born in Bethlehem; HE had been coming forth eternally revealing the HEAVENLY FATHER. "No one has seen GOD at any time. The ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO is in the bosom of the FATHER, HE has declared HIM." [John 1. 18]

Another truth is obscurely disguised in the affirmation of "goings forth" which is also used for the flowing of water from a fountain or spring, the radiation from the sun, an issue, an export, a source. Thus, the never-ending flowing forth of power from the MAJESTIC & INEXPLICABLE CREATOR through the SON is nothing less than the sustaining energy for the whole of HIS creation as HE is "upholding all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER." [Hebrews 1. 3] Yes, this is THE BABE of Bethlehem... the GLORIOUS KING of the whole world.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Merry CHRISTmas! Let us celebrate the day our BELOVED LORD JESUS came by entering into HIS PRESENCE & LIGHT with thanksgiving and praise to the KING OF GLORY.
"Have a Joyous CHRISTmas Season! — Our SAVIOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL reigns!" Our prayer for each of you is to have firsthand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, KING YESHUA WHO'S coming to earth we celebrate this time of year.
The 6th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Love. "You shall love the LORD your GOD will all your heart and all your soul and with all your might!" May YESHUA bless you with HIS great love that all may see it and know the ONE from WHOM it came.
May ALMIGHTY GOD'S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY.
...bright enough for all to see
...clear enough for all to follow
Our love to each of you. . . Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Post  Admin Sun 25 Dec 2011 - 11:38

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In MESSIAH YESHUA dwells the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY.

DEDICATION (Part 2 of 2)
The eight-branched Menorah also represents the people of GOD WHO are
"the lower lights." MESSIAH called HIS followers "lights" [Ephesians 5.
8], and also commanded them to let their "light so shine before men"
that their good works would be seen and the HEAVENLY FATHER glorified.
[Matthew 5. 16]

To the Jewish people there is much significance in the idea of Lights
— one of them is relative to marriage: "From every human being there
rises a light that reaches straight to heaven. And when two souls that
are destined to be together find each other, their streams of light flow
together, and a single brighter light goes forth from their united
being." [Baal Shem Tov]

The WORD OF GOD describes YESHUA ha'MASHIACH as THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD,
behold HIS wondrous flame, the FLAME OF HOPE. HE came as the SERVANT
(SHAMMAS) to light every man who comes to HIM; and all who come to HIM
shall no longer walk in darkness, but shall have the LIGHT OF LIFE! A
song of thanksgiving for this LIGHT is found in the book of Isaiah: "The
people that walked in darkness have seen a brilliant LIGHT; on those who
dwelt in the land of gloom and death, LIGHT has dawned." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 9. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Yes, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is this GLORIOUS LIGHT WHO shines —not
for one night only or even for eight nights— but HE is as the "NER
TORMID" — THE PERPETUAL LIGHT shining victoriously forevermore!

There is a popular game which is played at this season to remember the
Miracle of Lights. Dreidels (tops) are spun in this celebration. The
driedel is shaped like a cube, on each of the lateral sides of which is
found a Hebrew letter. The four Hebrew letters are nun, gimmel, hai,
shin — the initials of the words which constitute the sentence, "Nes
Gadol Hayah Sham" or "A Great Miracle Happened There."

Why is this game so linked with Chanukkah? During the rule of the
Greek-Syrians, studying the TORAH was outlawed and if anyone was caught,
the crime was punishable by death. So, when the children were studying
the TORAH and they saw a Greek patrol come by, they would quickly hide
the TORAH and take out a dreidel and begin playing. So, it is a
reminder of the brave children who had the courage to study the TORAH
even under such dangerous circumstances and times.

How very interesting that while the dreidel spins, the letters disappear
in a blur and are visible only when the it comes to a stop. How like
the dreidel we are — immersed in the dizzying hustle and bustle of
daily routine and we cannot see the miracles regularly happening all
around us. It is only when we stop to reflect that our eyes are opened
to the miracles that were there all along. We are reminded again that
the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake
you." [Hebrews 13. 5] And we are also assured, that HIS mercies endure
forever according to HIS loving-kindnesses. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 63]

In the Gamatra (numerology) the initial Hebrew letters depicting "A
Great Miracle Happed There" have the number value— 358 —which is
the same numerical value as the name "Messiah!" YESHUA truly is "THE
GREATEST of miracles!" HE came that we might have life, and that
abundantly.

In John 10:22 we read of THE PROMISED REDEEMER WHO walked on Solomon's
porch on this day (Feast of Dedication), WHO has won a victory for us
greater than that of Judah Maccabeus. YESHUA, the WORD-made-Flesh, has
loosed us from the hands of our enemy, the Devil, and has cleansed the
once-polluted Temple by the ministry of HIS HOLY SPIRIT. We who are
redeemed, rejoice in the GIFT of all gifts, not only at the Feast of
Dedication, but every moment of our lives when we remember the victory
the LORD JESUS wrought for us and the MIRACLE OF THE EVERLASTING LIGHT
in our souls! HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The 2nd Light of Chanukah is the LIGHT of TORAH. Israel's BOOK OF LAW:
The Commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share
wonderful holy-days together with friends and family. Our prayer, also,
is that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your
heart as you share HIS light with others.
Happy Chanukkah!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Thanks be to GOD for HIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT — YESHUA. . . HE is too
wonderful for words!

MY CHOSEN SERVANT
"For HE has said: —It is too little a thing that YOU should be MY
SERVANT to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of
Israel; I will also make YOU as a LIGHT to the nations, that YOU should
be MY SALVATION to the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In preparing to send the Promised MESSIAH to the earth bringing
salvation to a world lost in sin, FATHER GOD spoke these words to HIS
ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. Not only Israel would be restored as GOD'S elect
nation, but also the Gentile nations would be reached and the GOOD NEWS
spread throughout the world.

It was the old prophet, Simeon who referred to this prophecy when he
took the infant YESHUA into his arms and declared, "LORD, now YOU are
letting YOUR servant depart in peace, according to YOUR WORD; for my
eyes have seen YOUR SALVATION which YOU have prepared before the face of
all peoples, a LIGHT to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory
of YOUR people Israel." [Luke 2. 29 – 32; see also Isaiah 9. 2 —
YESHUA is that LIGHT.]

The OLD COVENANT is replete with similar prophecies: "I, the LORD, have
called YOU in righteousness, and will hold YOUR hand. I will keep YOU
and give YOU as a COVENANT to the people, as a LIGHT to the Gentiles."
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 6] "Arise, shine; for your LIGHT has come! The
glory of the LORD has shone upon you. Behold! Darkness shall cover the
earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you,
and HIS PRESENCE will be seen over you. The Gentiles shall come to YOUR
LIGHT, and kings to the brightness of YOUR rising." [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
60. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Even the Magi who came to worship the CHILD in Bethlehem were prophesied
about. "Kings shall tend your children, and queens shall serve you as
nursing mothers. They shall bow to you, faces to the ground, and lick
the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD — for
those who wait for and trust in ME shall not be shamed." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 49. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Preaching to the Gentiles, Paul boldly shared this truth. "For so the
LORD has commanded us: —I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth." [Acts 13.
47] "This day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no
other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come
— that the CHRIST would suffer, that HE would be the first to rise
from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the
Gentiles." [Acts 26. 22 - 23]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH not only enlightens both Jew and
Gentile, but HE is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD WHO has come that we might
have life and that more abundantly. That PROMISED ONE is with us, even
to the ends of the world.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The 3rd Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Justice. No nation
can endure who is unjust to the weak—"Justice, always justice shall
you pursue!" Take heed that you judge in righteousness, for you do not
judge for man but for the GOD WHO is with you in judgment.
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share
wonderful holy-days together with friends and family.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come let us adore HIM, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, CHRIST THE LORD.

THE MESSAGE
CHRISTMAS time is meant to remind us of one of the most profound
mysteries of GOD...how the PRINCE OF PEACE came to earth and lived in
the flesh, without sin, and finally took our sins upon HIMSELF that we
might be healed.

We as believers should remember the GREATEST GIFT of all is ALMIGHTY
GOD'S peace and reconciliation through HIS SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.
However one chooses to remember GOD'S ULTIMATE ACT OF GRACE to us, and
on whatever day, we can never hold it too dear. Therefore, the greatest
gift that we can give during this holy season is to share the "GIFT, the
LIVING HOPE" HE has given us with those around us:

"For a CHILD will be born to us, a SON will be given to us. And
authority will rest on HIS shoulders. HE has been named WONDERFUL,
COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, ETERNAL FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. In token of
abundant authority and of peace without limit upon David's throne and
kingdom, that it may be firmly established in justice and in equity now
and evermore. The zeal of the LORD OF HOSTS shall bring this to pass."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

To Miryam (Mary) it was imparted: "And behold, you will conceive in
your womb, and bear a SON, and you shall NamE HIM Jesus. HE will be
great, and will be called the SON OF THE MOST HIGH; and the LORD GOD
will give HIM the throne of HIS father David; and HE will reign over the
House of Jacob forever; and HIS Kingdom will have no end." [Luke 1. 31 -
33]

Have a warm and blessed CHRISTmas, another day to recognize the LORD
MESSIAH YESHUA'S birth and rejoice that He loved us enough to come to
earth and give His life that we might be reconciled to HIM for all
eternity. May we ever continue to serve, bless and give thanks for the
miracle of GOD'S MOST REMARKABLY EXCELLENT GIFT. . . HIS PRECIOUS SON
JESUS, our REDEEMER, SAVIOR & SOON-COMING KING!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY
GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the
weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU.
Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
The 4th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Mercy. Cruelty
hardens the heart and destroys friendship. "Do justice, and love mercy,
and walk humbly after your GOD." Truly, the LORD is exceptionally good,
HIS mercy is eternal, HIS faithfulness and truth is for all generations.
Our prayers that you know the ONE WHO gives perfect peace! May mercy,
peace and love be yours in abundance. Also, that the flame of the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light
with others. Walk joyously and boldly in the light and warmth of
ALMIGHTY GOD'S compelling love; and may the HOLY ONE, the HOPE OF
ISRAEL, fill you with HIS wonderful peace and indescribable happiness.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 20 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 22 Dec 2011 - 15:21

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole
truth or the only truth...for only the MESSIAH, the LORD JESUS OF
NAZARETH is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, and THE LIGHT.

DEDICATION (Part 1 of 2)
"Instruct the Israelites to bring you clear oil of beaten olives for
lighting, to cause the lamp to burn always. Aaron and his sons shall set
them up in the Tabernacle of Meeting, outside the curtain which is
before the Ark of the Covenant, to burn from evening to morning before
the LORD. It shall be a due from the Israelites for all time, throughout
the ages." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 20 - 21 Tanakh, Torah]

It is said that the Hebrew word, Chanukkah, itself tells of the date for
its observance: "hanu" means rested and "kah" means 25. Thus, it was
on the 25th of Kislev that the Jewish people "rested" from their enemies
at that time in history. Chanukkah is the "Festival of Lights" because
of the many lights involved in the Feast. Chanukkah literally means
dedication in memory of the rededication of the Temple in 165 BC by
Judas Maccabeus, after it had been polluted by Antiochus Epiphanes, the
Syrian king. In 176 BC Antiochus tried to force the Jews to give up
their faith and to adopt Greek customs. He persecuted the Jews who
refused to do this.

Antiochus Epiphanes converted the TEMPLE OF GOD to worship Zeus, and
placed an image of Zeus the dominant Greek god (a preview of the
abomination of desolation spoken of by the Prophet Daniel [11:31; 12:11;
Matthew 24:13; Mark 13:14]) in the Holy Place. He looted the Temple and
ordered all Jews to bow down to the idols placed there. Then, Antiochus
brought in a sow, and placed it on the Holy Altar in desecration of
ALMIGHTY GOD'S holiness. He brought waste and destruction —
desecrated the vessels of the LORD in debauchery and drunkenness and put
out the "Ner Tomid (Perpetual Light)."

Eventually the deliverance began with one righteous and godly father.
Daniel 11:32 says, "He (the king of the North, the vile one, — and
those who do wickedly) will flatter with smooth words those who have
violated the covenant, but the people who know their GOD will firmly
resist him." Or as it also can be translated—the people who are
devoted to their GOD shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. The
Hasmoneans, the Maccabee family, led the Jews in a revolt. The people
fled to the mountains to avoid Antiochus' revenge. The revolt, however,
spread. The old priest Mattathias died of exhaustion and sickness after
one year, but Judah, one his five sons, who was nicknamed "the Maccabee"
or "the Hammer" — because of his military might, succeeded him.
After three years of hard guerilla warfare the small band under Judah
the Maccabee and his brothers was able to throw out the Syrian forces
after two stunning victories in open battle.

In the Chanukkah prayers we say: "YOU delivered the strong into the
hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the impure into
the hands of the pure." The Maccabees were most probably physically
weak and unimpressive. They had no experience or training, fighting with
primitive weapons, sometimes with their bare hands. They fought because
they had no choice. They fought because their spiritual existence was
threatened. The odds of victory were impossible. And they won.

There is a Jewish concept known as mesirat nefesh; it means
self-sacrifice — doing the right thing no matter what the personal
cost. It means doing what you need to do even though you don't see
how it can possibly work out, yet depending completely on GOD. The
victory of the Maccabees had nothing to do with military skill and was
completely unrelated to physical strength. Chanukkah represents this
victory of mesirat nefesh. The conflict was a spiritual one and
therefore it was not the sword, but the spirit, that conquered. The
Maccabees fought with raw will and brutal determination, and a clarity
of purpose.

Chanukkah is the holiday of mesirat nefesh. The message of Chanukkah is
that no matter how impossible it looks, we need to fight off the forces
that seek our spiritual destruction. This is a battle that can only be
won with mesirat nefesh, the single-minded determination and
self-sacrifice that opens the floodgates of blessing and complete
dependency from the MIGHTY ONE WHO goes before us on the path to
victory. Indeed, the battle is the LORD'S.

"I will rouse your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Javan (Greece),
and make you a warrior's sword. Then the LORD will appear over them
(Judah); HIS arrows will flash lightning. The SOVEREIGN LORD will sound
the ram's horn; he will march in the storms of the south, and the
LORD ALMIGHTY will protect them. HIS slingstones shall destroy and
overcome." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 9. 13 – 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

After several years of fighting, Judah and his men drove the Syrians
out, they immediately set out for Jerusalem to restore the Temple. On
Kislev 25, 165 BCE/BC, exactly three years after the Temple had been
defiled, they rededicated the altar to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN.

In the Temple, the priests kept the light burning in obedience to the
command of the HOLY ONE, but when they prepared to rekindle this light
after the victory, they found that there was only enough oil to last one
day. This was a tragic discovery to the Jewish people for the ALMIGHTY'S
command could not then be carried out. Search was made for the oil for
this Lamp. The oil must be pure and prepared under the care of the high
priest and sealed with his seal. No pure oil could be found nor could
any be prepared before 8 days (7 days set apart to the LORD; on the 8th
day it is holy to the LORD). The small jug of oil bearing the seal of
the high priest might suffice for only one day, but according to the
Jewish people's tradition a miracle occurred, the oil lasted for the
full eight days!

Thus, in Synagogues and homes, Chanukkah is principally observed by the
lighting of candles set in an eight-branched Menorah to commemorate the
Miracle and the Victory. This Menorah also contains an additional
holder for the candle called "Shammas (servant)" with which the others
are lighted. The custom is to burn one candle the first evening, two
the second; progressively increased each evening until all eight are lit
on the eighth night. Before each candle is lit there is a blessing
recited and singing follows afterwards.

It is significant that the eight candles of the Chanukkah Menorah are
not lighted with a match but with the "Shammas." Then after the
"SERVANT" has given its light to all the others it is put in a high
place or a special place of honour in the Menorah. Do you not see in
this action a beautiful picture of the only SERVANT (of GOD) WHO was
exalted after HE had given HIS light to HIS people? In the words of
Isaiah we find HIM described: "The REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, GOD'S HOLY ONE;
the DESPISED ONE; HIM WHO is abhorred of nations; to the SERVANT of
rulers: kings shall see and stand up; nobles, and they shall prostrate
themselves - to the honour of the LORD, WHO is faithful, to the HOLY ONE
OF ISRAEL WHO chose you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Chanukkah is the story of victory over apostasy and lawlessness; it is
therefore very important for us today. Even YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE
observed this Feast (John:10:22) , and Hebrews 11:33-38 includes the
people involved in the Chanukah story in its list of the heroes of
faith.

CREATOR GOD exalts HIS SERVANT, MESSIAH YESHUA, and causes kings and
princes to bow down before HIM. Yes, the LORD JESUS is the only SERVANT
WHO is worthy to be given a position of honor! HE is the ONE sent of
GOD to bring us the light of salvation. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 13 - 15;
Philippians 2. 6 - 8] It is written of MESSIAH YESHUA, the KING of all
ages— "The LIGHT OF ISRAEL will be fire, and the HOLY ONE a flame."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 10. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

...to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The 1st Candle tells us of HIM WHOSE first command was, "Let there be
light." The darkness of idol worship and immorality was scattered when
Israel brought radiant knowledge of the ONE TRUE GOD. May you grow daily
in the richness and blessings of knowing HIM, WHO is CREATOR GOD, the
LIGHT of the world.
Happy Chanukkah!

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 20 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 21 Dec 2011 - 8:10

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When a clever man makes a mistake. . . does he ever make a mistake!

LACKING KNOWLEDGE
"MY people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, destroyed because of
your disobedience! Because you have rejected knowledge and spurned the
Law (teachings) of your GOD, I reject you as MY priest. I, in turn, will
spurn your children." [Hosea (Hoshea) 4. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This grievous bewailing lament applies to all nations nowadays. Though
they once knew the MAGNIFICENT GOD OF ISRAEL, apostasy and humanism has
taken over and has hardened the hearts of the masses. Therefore, the
supporting principle of reaping what one sows is well-founded and
appropriate. Parents and grandparents in today's world are seeing the
awful scourge of moral debauchery (wickedness, dishonesty, betrayal)
among their children and the young people. And, the shackles of
wickedness are tightening because "you have forgotten the Law of your
GOD."

GODly knowledge is rejected throughout the human race, therefore people
are being "destroyed for lack of knowledge" and their willful
disobedience. This ignorance exists despite an abundance of supposed
actual knowledge (science) in our educational institutions, for the
ALMIGHTY CREATOR has been outlawed. The intellectuals (?) of the day
have forgotten that "the fear of the LORD is the beginning (best part)
of knowledge, they are fools who despise wisdom and instruction. "
[Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The beginning of wisdom is
the fear of the LORD, and knowledge of QADOSHYM (the HOLY ONE) is
understanding. " [Proverbs (Mishle) 9. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Even in the churches, to our mortifying and embarrassing shame, there is
very little emphasis on knowledge. Instead, the enthusiasm that is
endorsed and promoted is for an experience and/or entertainment. True
CHRISTian faith is not a feeling, it is a committed desire to be of one
mind and purpose with GOD SUPREME. To have an intellectual understand
the PERSON and work of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, the BREAD OF
DELIVERANCE, one must first have a reverential fear of the LORD, that is
the beginning of knowledge. [Proverbs/Mishle 1. 7] HE taught
imperatively— "unless you repent you will all likewise perish."
[Luke 13. 5]

To believe right, one must first think right, and this requires finding
GODly knowledge, discretion and discernment. "All who separated
themselves from the peoples of the lands to follow the Law of GOD,
everyone who had knowledge to understand, joined with their noble
brothers, and took an oath with sanctions to follow GOD'S Law, given
through Moses the servant of GOD, and to observe carefully all the
commandments of the LORD our LORD, HIS rules (ordinances) and laws
(statutes)." [Nehemiah (Nechemah) 10. 28 - 29 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Hear the WORD OF THE LORD, O people of Israel! For the LORD has a case
against the inhabitants of this land, because there is no truth or
mercy, no knowledge or obedience to GOD in the land." [Hosea (Hoshea) 4.
1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "They sow wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind."
[Hosea (Hoshea) 8. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The people and the land are
bewildered, entirely consumed; like an unwanted vessel in which there is
no pleasure.

"You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you
also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of
the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR
JESUS CHRIST. To HIM be the glory both now and forever, Amen" [2 Peter
3. 17 - 18] All who know HIM will serve and obey the MASTER — they
are truly rich for the ALL-KNOWING ONE lives within; how very blessed
they are.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Renew my strength and draw me nearer to YOU, GLORIOUS GOD OF TRUTH —
allow me to serve YOU and be YOUR friend, be my GOD and I will not be
afraid; I will sing with a contented heart and be joyously blessed with
salvation.
We remember and celebrate the HOLY ONE WHO is the GREATEST GIFT to the
world, the TRUE LIGHT that was given to all who will receive HIM. Such a
great blessing the day MESSIAH YESHUA came into this dark word, though
the world did not understand; those who do, rejoice in HIS PRESENCE
still.
