Dear brothers and sisters greetings. This is an update on the New Life Church of God(Turkey)..Included also original meesage from Pastor Y..

" For this moment the church is in difficulty. I also am in a difficult situation as well.
on August 8 they(probably neighbors) complained and the police took me to the police station. I gave a statement And they told me meetings here are forbidden.
Further if there are anymore complaints I could be sentenced 3 years in prison and given a penalty of 2500 lira
I don't know what We will do. Therefore I wanted let you know expeditiously . Otherwise My situation will be difficult to go inside( prison ???).

The church continues meeting from house to house to avoid the police and complaints and avoid going to prison. souls are getting saved. we have 4 additional prayer group we support

We paid travel and other expenses for Bro Cruz to give Pastor Y...training in Istanbul
so we can set up an association ; thus we can avoid problems with the poi ice
plus pastoral training as well. We plan two training sessions.

Thank you for your support. We have delayed the reconstruction of the church in the interest of setting up the association which we can use as church as well.

I know pastor Y.... will continue to have meetings however secretly it may be. additionally we need support for Pastor Y....Pray Pray Pray

Dear Saints :thank you for the support you have given.

Greetings from the New Life Church of God (Turkey) (pastor) Coban Y... is the pastor and is doing a great job in the face of multiple adversities. .Most everyone has heard the Gospel and we have 200 plus converts ; but due to work 30-40 attend all the time.. we have no problem with the police and neighbors since we resolved them several months ago.

More would attend but the church facility collapsed and we don't have the money to reconstruct ; otherwise we could have at least 100 in attendance each Sunday.

Of course we don't have enough money to pay Coban Y...... and his assistant the Youth Pastor E....to live on. We mentioned this in our last memo and we got the below commitments by state.

Further we have had monetary problems in that the other prayer groups don't get a visit from Pastor Y....no gas money.
Baptisms are down due no gas to take people to the sea..

Folks I have ran out of personal funds and I have health problems that limit what I can do; trying to keep someone on the ground in this most vital area of Turkey where according to Jesus Satan's throne was located.Rev Chapter 2 under the Church at Pergamos

We realize that we have Christmas coming up and we are trying to get money to feed about 200 families. but....this is God's Kingdom and His church. I wish I was a millionaire to do all we need to do. Everyone is talking about Jesus coming back. Folks I cry and am depressed knowing if we touch some other home we will all go up in the Rapture. The Judgement will clarify all our deeds and we have to give accountability for the job I have done and what we all have done to take the Gospel to Turkey.this job is not glamorous but essential to His Kingdom.

Thank for your on going contributions which are used to support the workers in Bergama who has to pay about $ 12 a gallon diesel for the van we use to visit our believers and to seek out the people who need to hear the Gospel. We are the only people in our who are carrying the light of Jesus from the Dardanelle's to Menemen which is near the biblical SMyrna. Further. we are the only COG workers in our area who identifies themselves as COG.

I previously wrote you about our Christmas basket program. We need $14000 to provide a box of Christmas food to about 200 families We have about $5000 so far and need an additional $9000. (Happy Memorial day. when we get to heaven will it will be more glorious than this day and we need to take
as many Muslims as we can to celebrate the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords)

We need to take advantage of this open door by supporting pastor.Y..... and his workers. We cannot do it alone but with your help both prayer and funds as you are led by the Lord.

Memo 16-15 dtd 5-21-2015 New Life Church of God (Turkey)‏
Greetings brothers and sisters from the New Life COG(Turkey) we are live and well. We aint going anywhere. We have gone this far and there is no turning back.

This is a progress report.

To date we have not been bothered by the police or Muslims as before. Again possibly reason is everybody is aware of the church and their courage increases as they are coming to church. whole families are getting saved.. The obstacles seems to have subsided

Already we have close to 200 converts in the home church . Last Sunday we had about 60 people in attendance which required us to have church in two locations upstairs and downstairs. I cannot find words to express what God is doing in this mahallesinde (village) of about 3000. This is in addition to prayer groups in 5 other locations.

Our big problem is space but it costs money to run a church and to expand to accommodate the increasing attendance.

On the other side of the coin we have adversities; but God is helping us to be overvcomers; and something's we cannot help.
Pastor Y has spent much of his time in the hospital ministering to his family and others . His mother died and he has a sister on the precipice of eternity.Her salvation is questionable. But he still sees her.

We had setup an Internet service so we can communicate. On one of his trip to the hospital some one stole his Internet equipped phone which we funded with about $1000. we don't have the money to do it again. Somehow he is buying another one ready first of June.

When we set the church up we had no idea of the cost and problems we would incur. We have kept you advised of the situations periodically.We have to expand!!! we spent several thousands of dollars paying penalties, getting un padlocked and hiring an attorney and helping the member whose home burned down. nothing remained . Money spent on police and attorney allowed us not be bothered and worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.. so far it is working

We need a youth pastor to help Pastor Y... and we have one but don't have the money to support him.
We need about $2000 monthly in account no 132-5116 to help the pastors live .We get about $ 1400 into this account . We need additional supporters of which 6 will give $100 monthly on a regular basis. Can you who do not support give that amount.?

Its hard for me to ask because I believe God if He wants a church there He will fund it. Lord increase my faith.

Memo 15-15 did 4-27 - 2015 New Life Church of God(Turkey)h‏
Brothers and sisters greetings from Turkey and the New Life Church of God in the name Jesus.

The New Life COG (Turkey) is very much alive and well despite complications we incurred. The Holy Spirit is helping us
Work with minimum adversities.

Just a rehash of what has been going let me rerun some items because it has been hectic for us besides pastor Y... Wife
Has been having a series of health problems and surgeries. Pastor Y.. Says his wife is very " onemli ". Important.

We were having church until a series of items curtailed our meetings which were ongoing ; the events are below
Church members homes destroyed by fires, flooding, sick wife. Car coming from a baptism blew an engine. All expensive items. : the pastors son's own home went up in flames beyond recognition.

Subsequently with influence of Muslims we believe The church was padlocked by the police and all material confiscated. We paid the monetary penalty and police charges to get the padlock removed; And all material was retrieved . Started meetings and again and had police interference even with me.. We hired an attorney and we got an injunction to reopen and have meetings despite Muslim complaints and police interference . A meeting was last night in the worship center and the week before.

We were in process of redoing the worship center and again expenses deferred
This process . We are waiting for money and see what the attorney can do for us . This is a miracle to reopen sooner. I have never heard of this. We believe the police are afraid of the whole village coming to Jesus.plus other villages as well which God owns already. We got stubborn village chiefs who are requesting reciprocity .

We had church last night from 8pm to 11pm. 37 were in attendance. The lady who got got saved last week brought four more and they got saved. Pastor Y.. Will have a water baptism Wednesday baptizing 4 people.
This sounds like a revival . Soon we will reach 200 new converts in one year in the area of the home church .

The New Life COG. (Turkey) is live and well. The following activities have occured since our last report,

The church finished up its delivery to outlying fellowships without any incidents or complications.

We are trying to connect with the other prayer groups so can help each other which is essential considering our
environment and the need to interchange ideas and pray for one another .

We are setting up a training program to enhance our knowlege thereby increasing the faith of the members of the church and enhance our ability to be recognized by the state as a church. We expect the church to grow into a membership of 500
In fact we had two saved last night.

We have so many needs its impossible to iterate all of them. In this world of communications the needs are innumerable and we don't have the money to pay everything.

Need a computer/ telephone to use as a computer. Just as a minimum.
Insurance for the car
Food and shelter for the family
Larger place to house the people for worship. The popularity of the church is gaining importance.

Setting up a church in Turkey in a community that many cannot read or write is a mammoth task. . A cell phone is the most
Electronics available and many do not even have a cell phone . We need to help pastor Y... Acquire some electronics cited
Above to communicate with stateside assistance and communicate with the prayer groups. If we are to grow we must be avaialable at all times whether present or in the states.

Let me restate what the New Life COG(Turkey) is doing for the Kingdom

Dear ones God is opening doors that before have not been opened before in my tenure the last 10 years. This is unbelievable but nothing is impossible for God.
The church is making a positive impact on the community. People like the fact they have a pastor they can
Call upon for counseling . Pastor Y... Has already been able to solve divisions within his father's own family.
The pastor is making Hospital visits and taking people to the hospital and picking them up.

This is an update on the New Life COG (Turkey)
The church and pastor are live and well despite complications which has driven workers from duty
In our region of Turkey.
We have been laying ground work for. 22 years with workers coming and going. We finally have a man
Local Pastor Y... Who has assumed the role of the leader. He did not know what a big task.is ahead of Him.
He is now at the hospital with his sick wife after torturesome day dealing with people and an exploding car.

Prayer meetings are continue as well as baptisms in water ,but let me summarize events since beginning of
My arrival.the end of March
1.The first thing we encountered was a padlock on the worship center with all material confiscated.

2. Then we paid $2000 in penalty and to reetieve our supplies with the stated option of resuming prayer meetings.

3. Next day as we were God directed discussion of the Holy Spirit,; the secret police and the local police show up
And I became an investigation. After about an hour everything was calm down but meetings were Cancelled due to fear .

4. We had a baptism of 5 people.

5. Next day his son's home was destroyed completely with fire and another members home was destroyed previously
By water damage . The home collapsed with heavy rain.

6.we helped them to recover in finding a place to live. ; work is hard to come by in thee community

7. So far I spent of my ow money hundreds of dollars. I say this for info only not to engender sympathy. But for info.

8.this week pastor Y... Was baptizing several people. On the way back home the car exploded destroying the
Engine. Towing and repairs including new engine depleted my funds. After night time of getting the Carr fixed
The wife had to go to the hospital.

9. Personally I was investtigated by police on three occasions

10. Pastor Y,... Is exhausted and out of money as well my funds are nearly depleted.

11. Sis Yolanda that precious saint of God is sending money to pastor Y... Helping to keep pastor Y... Head above water.

This is the essence of our experiences so far only sinc the end of Marchh. The devil has tried to stop us in every nook and corner. There are more incidents but I don't want to bore you beithvthe essence I want to convey.

I have been in and out of Turkey for 22 years butt I have not encountered such adversity. The Devil
Is doing his best to stop us. Pastor was so frustrated I am surprised he has survived the calling. I am use to it
Because I have neglected God so many years. I am blessed to be here and be a part of the devastation of
Satan's throne. Once the last person exited in in the middle of the night I said" Lord they may have abandoned duty here but I WIL NEVER leave until you take me hiome"

Folks we got a pastor' that is dedicated to the church it behooves us and many people get behind him with
Prayer and support

I close with this report. With stats. In the home church there has been 184 conversions and other locations since 6 other prayer groups
Making a total of 283 conversions ; also Jesus name wherever lifted up will serve as a magnet drawing people

Dear brothers and sisters: greetings in the name of the Holy One Jesus. We are blessed to be with the New Life Church of God for

The New Life COG (Turkey) is more than live and well. The complications with the authorities seem to be negligible by pastor Y... And his assistant E.... . They seem to treat this encounter with minimum fear for its their belief that we will continue in spite
Of "bullying " attitude of the authorities.

We suppose to get from Ankara yea or nay regarding the existence of the church as an entity. Their attitude is exemplified by their actions
1. Last week they visited 3 prayer groups and I 2 groups with 6 getting saved.

2. Two ember homes were destroyed by one by water and one completely burned down. This did not deter pastor Y... Or his assistant. They will just put them together again... And continue their work.. Someone ran into his car and they put it together again. Nothing seems to bother them.

3. The next week in addition to the main church they plan to visit more prayer groups and baptize 6 new believers.

4. We have an ongoing education program and they continue to study carrying their bibles ostentatiously obvious to people.
5. We pray over our food and pray concluding our meetings with all people looking on. There is no fear.

Oh what a joy being with them and fun to see them operate. We just got stood up in a prayer group because we did not give the village chief what he wanted; a house for prayer meetings with part for him to occupy.. No problem we had tea and talked and prayed.

The church is viable and no one can stop us. But.... Pray for us as we pray for you; there's is no greater service.

The following activities have occured since our last report,

We are in the process of resolving the recognition of the church formally at the highest levels of the government .
A lady who got saved when we first went to Bergama .she has had experience since of establishing churches .thank God she will be here this week to talk to the government.

We have an ongoing. Education program. You are aware of the police problem. We are not running from it.; but we are trying to resolve the problem. We have done so partially

We visited two prayer meetings this and have the potential of being a church.

We baptised 5 people and there were 5 saved.

We look forward to Sunday in which we ve rate thr Ressurection of Christ and our first year in existence.

Memo no 8-15 Dtd 3/26/15 New Life Church COG (Turkey)
Dear friends, brothers,sisters and supporters greetings in the of the Risen Lord.

This a report on the New Life COG(Turkey)

On my first visit since Christmas to the COG after a 13 hour flight and 8 hour trip by car and before I slept about 18 hours( he he ) we made the the first trip to the COG with a message from pastor Y.... " we got to have long long talk" no indication of the subject but I was ;
Apprehensive ready for the encounter after prayer and reading the scripture I Cor chapt 11 and 12. No premonitions till we were there.

The pastor was gone but soon to come back. While waiting I saw a crude wire on the door with writing. I just ignored the configuration of the door. He came. And let me know we were locked by the police and all of our testaments and other books have been confiscated and the door was crudely closed . No one could go into the room by order of the police.

I let him read those chapters in Corinthians and he acknowledged they were receiving persecution. The was about $2000 penalty for using the room for a religious service without permission.
After he was finished readin the verses he said if we pay all the penalty which he had set up on an installment plan they may authorize us to go into the room which we used as a church.

I said lets go and try and gave him $2000 to convert to lira and we started paying the fees. At the end of the day pastor Y.. Told me.
" in the morning at 8:30 am the officials will open the door and measure the room and tell us how many people can be there at one time and will bring back the absconded books and material. Then we can have Sunday service." We call a meeting not church until when we hear from Ankara about July.

Praise God for miracles. . Pastor Y.. And his family are full blown Christians . They have named their boy grandkids Isa(Jesus) Ismael, and Mesih(the messiah). All the children and spouses and mothers and fathers are Christians and active in the church.

One more thing we are baptizing 6 people Monday as before. His brother professes to be a Christian with two Wives. We said no . He said I will give up one wife if he can be baptised. He is included in the group on Monday .. He agreed to give one wife. Don't know how it is done. But we will be watching.

This is the first letter of this nature, pray for us.. We need it. There is new regime in town

dear beloved saints that have been praying for us.

The government officials removed the padlock of the church this morning and restored everything that was taken in the initial confiscation.

We are a LEGITIMATE prayer meeting. We can have up to 35-40 in attendance but we have other resources available to us. It's all above board .

The devil lost in this round but we are open; nothing is about subterfuge any more. That was the most beneficial $2000 we ever spent inn Turkey. Every body wants money but those fees were required of the government. No ones hands were greased besides the government.

But let me emphasize we are a legitimate " Toplanti". Prayer meeting. Pastor Y... Is doing a good job with the protection of the church and its advancement. He has already applied to be recognized as a church. Amazing man!!!

Dear Saints Greetings in the name of Jesus:from us and members of the New Life COG(Turkey)

We are departing this weekend to visit the New Life COG :to celebrate Easter and one year since we have organized the the first COG in Turkey : Pastor Y..... Pray fore us . We expect a house full.

Last Easter We started with 15 people we now have 114 members. Due to scarcity of work all cannot come every Sunday but we expect a big turn out due to Easter and our 1 year organization celebration.. Many will come because of curiosity and they will be saved when they leave.

Prayers request

    1. Our safe journey

    2. Everything will arrive on time. We are carrying 210lbs plus. They don't look closely to me cause we make 3 trips a year and carry similar pounds. Thank you Lord Jesus

    3. Many souls will be saved

    4. Pastor Y.... increase his knowledge and wisdom

    5. The church will be validated as a a church in Ankara.

    6. The church increase in their outreach program. They already have undertaken a program to minister to our other prayer groups that we have organized over the years.

   7. The police ( Jandarma ) will be no problem.

   8. We need an outpouring of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost. We deem that as super important.. We are awaiting the rushing might wind and the cloven tongues followed by the indwelling Spirit ;speaking in other tongues filling the whole church.Pray for us. Acts chapter 2 manifestation. amin ve amin Rab Isa.

   9. The Lord give us wisdom regarding dealing with Muslims. So far the first thing we do is make a friend and then this helps reach them with the Gospel.

   10 We will have a water baptism in the Agean Sea

We have 114 members of the New Life COG(Turkey) and have had 34 saved in the last two months in the main church, Remember we have 5 other prayer groups aside from the main church.
But the thrust of our message is to show what we encounter in the Muslim world. What we encounter!!!!

Why do we witness to Muslims. Not only to get them saved. We encounter polygamy and on one occasion I met a young man with several wivesand ton of kids. We counsel them but seldom get them stop their infantile ways.,
I saw the picture below on FB and thought we would share this with you. it further emphasizes the reason churches are needed which some people/churches support. We get them saved and counsel them on their sinful ways.and emphasize a biblical marriage and wholesome home life

MEMO NO 4 DID 20 fEB 2015. THE NEW LIFE CHURCH OFGOD(TURKEY)‏
Dear saints: greetings in name of the HOLY ONE the Infinite Servant from the servants of the New Life COG (Turkey). The first COG in all of Turkey.
We come to with an urgent request. We are short of money to give to Pastor Y..... He has asked for nothing but he has abandoned his primary work in interest of serving God in the interest of the KINGDOM. He has nothing to gain except a home in heaven and take as many Muslims he can take with him. He has had about 200 conversions since the organization of the church last Easter 20 April 2015.
Last month he spent money we sent him aside from supporting his family by renting 2 cars to transport believers to another prayer group to encourage them. We have 6 prayer groups that he wants to help..Plus he helped a believer whose completely collapsed due to heavy rain. His own father would not hep his own son but the church did.
I have helped him from my own personal funds but It costs me $5000-$6000 to make my trip as well.. my funds are dwindling

I am borrowing money which is about exhausted to visit him and help him with incidentals and food.

WE are not asking for ourselves but for Pastor Y.... income which we have self imposed. Before whatever came in we would give him but now we believe he can exist on $1500 a month. We have left over in his account $5.83

This is the first time we have come to you with plea for funds. Pray to the Lord and talk to Him what you can do. Remember we have no foreign workers in our area. Pastor Y....is the sole representative of the COG and is a local native,.

MEMO NO 3 DTD 2-16-15 The New Life Church of God(Turkey)‏
Dear Brothers and Sisters: greetings in the holy name of Jesus the Christ, the Messiah and the Anointed One.
This is a progress report letting you know that the New Life Church of God(Turkey) is still live and well.

Last Sunday we had 34 in church which is average, The worship area will handle comfortably only about 30-40 people. We need to find a place where we can seat about 100 because we have that number of converts in this community. If they come all at once we don't know where we would put them.  We must do something to facilitate growth of the COG in Turkey. We expect 75% of the community to come to the saving Grace of the Lord Jesus the Christ which is about 3000.
They come to a meeting they don't leave unsaved. Praise God. It is contagious.

Pastor Y... and the leaders are undergoing a training program provided by Bro Otoniel of the COG . This will lead to a certificate which is a national requirement for certification of the New Life COG in Turkey. Praise be to God for our progress.
Simultaneously Pastor Y.... is teaching the prayer groups from these lesson plans. More mature Christians will be the result . Praise be to our Savior. This way when Satan tempts them it will help them be over comers. We are aware of the devices of the evil one how he is using religion to achieve his goal and come against us..

Pastor Y..... continues to minister to other prayer groups outside of the location of the church. Folks it is amazing that we have 5 other prayer groups which we minister to. Thanks be to God.

MEMO NO 1-15 DTD 1/16/15 NEW LIFE COG (TURKEY)‏
Dear brothers and sisters greetings in the name of Jesus.

The New Life COG(Turkey) is still live and well. Despite the cold weather the people come to church an average of 30 in each meeting.

Pastor Y.. still goes to hospital and does other visitations One of the members because of heavy rain whole house collapsed leaving them out in the cold nowhere to sleep so they stayed with Pastor Y.. for a season. The church initiated a collection and received total of 100 TL needing about 10000 TL.The people are poor. we were able to help giving about 1,200 TL just to get the walls started.. Its too cold to work since most of the members collect and sale metal objects for a living. We have done all we can do unless we get help elsewhere. Additionally, the pastor's wife had to have surgery on her knees. . Here is the medical situation in Turkey before I go any farther.

Medical treatment in Turkey is like Obama care. But the politicians are using proceeds from their hot economy to enhance their life style. E.g. the president Tayip Erdogan ( for me Obama is kissing cousin) has built him a 100+ room palace to copy the Padisha of the Ottoman Empire and other things, plus owns 7 ships , His grandsons have green cards and living Vic of New York and I have heard he has bulging bank account in Switzerland . Plus the other politicians are doing similarly.

This is taking away from medical care from the Turkish people. E.g. I have a personal friend of 25 years who has a need of heart surgery, but the government will not approve the surgery. He will not go to the Dr because he knows surgery is required costing about $8000 . He makes about $500 monthly. He says if the Lord doesn't heal him he will join his father in heaven.

So Pastor 'S wife had to have knee surgery since she could not ambulate. It cost the pastor about $1000 plus cost of medicines. The state would not do the operation for the same reason my friend above can not have surgery. We were able to help Pastor Y... with this medical expense.

Despite these obstacles we have a viable church with attendance of 60 people New Years eve and a huge number Christmas day. Plus Pastor Y... is traveling to other prayer groups with the hope of combining them into one church. Praise God. every time a new person comes to church they get saved. They don't leave unsaved. Praise God.

We expect exciting things with the new church and the first COG in all of Turkey. We thank those who have stepped up to the plate and help us build the church. you know who you are..I was surprised at the difficulties in establishment of a church in a Muslim country. They have not been insurmountable but NUMEROUS. Every time we turn around there is a challenge but folks we do have a COG in the country of Turkey a Muslim country you have read about.
We are ready for a training program if we ever get the study lessons. They are paid for but we have to wait for the system to catch up with us.

MEMO 33 dtd 12-30-14(SPOT REPORT) NEW LIFE CHURCH OF GOD(TURKEY)‏
Dear Ones: we are just welled up inside with joy and peace at the working of the Triune Godhead

in our midst in an immaculate way manifesting HIS glory from hither and yonder. Forgive my feeble way of

expressing myself since we are overwhelmed by the recent evens occurring within the New Life COG ( TURKEY).

We are humbled by what God is doing since it is a miracle in the making after 12 years of dealing with

people, prayer meetings, sickness, police obstacles, people problems , being conned, brought to court,

accidents, indebtedness, poisoning episode,hospitalizations, doctors keeping us going, on on on and on. it has not stopped.. it has been endless..but Paul said he rejoiced in his adversities that the spirit of Christ may rest upon him.

But let me say this there are a few people who have mentored and supported us and me personally whom I could give the Medal of Honor for their support and going out on the limb in our behalf. It would be tasteless for me to mention names in fear of offending some but they know who they are..Two of them are in heaven waiting for us : Bro Sheeks and bro Beavers .

The reason for this spot report is due to actions of the New Life COG in the last week let me cite them for your edification and rejoice along with us.

Pastor Y.... is visiting the other prayer groups in an effort to incorporate them into the church. amazing!

In The first Christmas since organization of the church there was celebration Christmas day of the birth of Jesus. The church was overflowing with people with two ladies getting saved.

Now this is the highlight of Christmas celebration. Tomorrow night New Years evening 57 people are expected in attendance withe phone ringing off the hook. The church is the focal point of the community, Do I hear a thank you Lord , amin ve amin , allelujah, hamdolsun.

Need I say more? let go and let God. Praise you Lord God and thanks for your manifestations.

Thus this is a spot report because we are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

Dear Bro's and Sis's greetings in the name of Emanuel

The New Life COG(Turkey) is a viable church and is maturing as the days and weeks go by.

DEC 25 is the first Christmas celebration for the church. The church was overflowing with people standing on the steps peering in the windows and doors. There were 2 new women who gave their heart to Jesus. Praise God

We are growing and are running out of room to accommodate the increasing attendance. Pray that God will help us to find the money so we can provide space for the growing COG the first in the country of Turkey.

Pastor Y.... is visiting the other prayer groups that we have organized. His initiative will be the source of the prayer groups remaining dynamic and active since we do not have a worker in this area.

Again we want reiterate what we have done before for emphasis purposes

Dear ones God is opening doors that before have not been opened before in my tenure the last 10 years. This is unbelievable but nothing is impossible for God.
The church is making a positive impact on the community. People like the fact they have a pastor they can
Call upon for counseling . Pastor Y... Has already been able to solve divisions within his father's own family.
The pastor is making Hospital visits and taking people to the hospital and picking them up.
