Are we about to see chaos in the streets in major cities all over America? Antifa and other radical leftist groups are promising that a series of protests will begin on November 4th that will never end until "the Trump/Pence regime" is "removed from power".
And as you will see below, Antifa has openly and publicly embraced violence and the Department of Homeland Security says that they have engaged in domestic terrorism.
Hopefully these "protests" will fizzle out after a few weeks, because political organizations that believe in "the necessary use of violence" have no place in our society.

Once again, the abortion debate has taken front stage in Canada, this time due to the efforts of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government to suppress their political opposition in a committee vote.
Conservative MP Rachael Harder was rejected as the nominated chairwoman of the Status of Women Committee and another MP was forced to assume the position, despite making it clear that she did not want the job. Karen Vecchio, Trudeau's selection for chairwoman, also made it clear that she, herself, was in support of MP Rachael Harder.
MP Vecchio told the parliament, "Although I appreciate the nomination, I would like to back down from the nomination," but she was placed in the position nevertheless. Why? Because MP Harder opposes the Liberal government's pro-abortion stance.

Ours is a generation that is increasingly bombarded by confusing messages on gender norms that are now under assault even from the church. From non-binary deacons that refuse to accept that they are either men or women to hyper-sexual, church-sponsored drag shows and transgender baptisms, the assault on Biblical values has intensified.
None would deny that the Gospel is a message of compassion and salvation but, in these churches, that message has been warped to take the shape of explicit support and even promotion of a life of gender confusion and sin rather than an ethic of faithful marriage between men and women.
The Methodist Deacon M. Barclay is now accepted as a non-binary Deacon in Chicago, which means that she prefers the pronoun "they" rather than "she" and doesn't identify as either gender. In the Methodist Church, there are two orders of ministry: deacons and presbyters.

There was a day, not too long ago, when a church would have been proud to claim George Washington, the first president of the United States and "father of our country," as one of its first members.
That day has passed.
At Christ Church of Alexandria, Virginia, where the motto is "All are welcome, no exceptions," the board of vestry has decided it can no longer tolerate a plaque dedicated to the memory of its most famous member, George Washington.
That's right, George Washington himself was one of the founding members of Christ Church, which is affiliated with the Episcopal Church USA. He purchased pew No. 5 when the church opened in 1773 and attended for more than 20 years whenever he rode north from Mount Vernon to do business in town.

But on Sunday, the church announced it will soon be removing a memorial plaque placed along the front wall in Washington's honor, saying he has become so controversial that his plaque is "chasing away would-be parishioners," the Washington Times reports.
The Episcopal Church USA has given itself over to a "Mother Earth" form of Christianity that preaches tolerance and inclusivity for everything accept what some might consider traditional, biblical Christianity.
The Christ Church of Alexandria is so inclusive that it does not have a single male pastor listed on its website. All four are women. One of them, the Rev. Ann Gillespie, is a former Hollywood actress who recently closed a sermon with a new version of the Apostle's Creed.
It starts out, "I believe in God, our Mother Bear, source of all being," and it refers to the Virgin Mary as "the bad-ass womanist liberation theologian, Mary."

Ann Gillespie, an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church USA and assistant rector at the church co-founded by George Washington, recite her version of the Apostle's Creed: As best one can tell, this "creed" was concocted by a lesbian woman named Sarah Moon, who is a member of a United Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio.

Moon declared in a September 2014 blog post she could no longer bear to recite the Apostle's Creed, so she rewrote it and came up with her own "Feminist Apostle's Creed," also referred to as the "Womanist Apostle's Creed."

UN Launches 'Unprecedented' $1.3 billion Legal Campaign Against Israel

The United Nations has earmarked some $1.3 billion to fund Palestinian legal campaigns against Israel and to support the creation of an independent Palestinian state, in what experts are calling an unprecedented act singling out the Jewish state at the world body.
A document that was recently signed between the U.N. and the Palestinians outlines a "strategic programming framework" in the disputed territories from 2018-2022, and states that the U.N. will work to advise the Palestinian Authority on how to exploit "international accountability mechanisms" in order to hold Israel accountable for alleged violations of international law. The document is set to come into effect Jan. 1, 2018.
The document makes no references to Palestinian violations of international law and human rights, nor does it specify that the $1.3 billion in funding should be applied to humanitarian assistance. Rather, the U.N. document states that the money should be used for developing programs that support "Palestine's path to independence."

Though the online language academy eTeacher has been actively educating students since 2000, it recently rebranded a branch of their company in recognition of the increase in interest in traditional Bible studies.
"eTeacher holds nearly 105,000 virtual classes a year throughout the world," noted Roni Segal, academic adviser for eTeacher to Breaking Israel News.
"With more and more students requesting traditional Bible studies and a desire to study the Old Testament in its original Hebrew, we felt that the time was ripe to branch out and open 'The Israel Institute of Biblical Studies.'"

The rise of social media has shown how the barriers between public and private are falling fast. Fueled by a climate of anti-Christian leftist bias, the devoutly-held Biblical beliefs of Christians are now under attack by private companies, labor unions and universities across the world.

Workers and students who express their opinion in favor of Christian principles or in opposition to the LGBT or abortion agendas now risk being fired from their jobs or expelled from academic programs.

In four recent cases, Christians were persecuted for expressing personal opinions, without a hint of hate speech, on social networks in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. These countries were once considered leaders in freedom of speech, but now it is only left-leaning speech that is protected.

First, the case of a young woman named Madeline. In Canberra, Australia, an 18-year-old contract worker for the company Capital Kids Parties was let go after she put up a Facebook filter expressing her opposition to a same sex marriage vote. Her message read simply, "It's OK to vote no".

Vice President Mike Pence announced Wednesday night that President Trump has ordered the State Department to shut off funding for "ineffective" United Nations programs to help persecuted Christians in the Middle East, saying the administration will take over those efforts directly.
"From this day forward, America will provide support directly to persecuted communities through USAID," Mr. Pence said at the In Defense of Christians annual solidarity dinner in Washington. "We will no longer rely on the United Nations alone to assist persecuted Christians and minorities in the wake of genocide and the atrocities of terrorist groups."
Saying Christians have been victims of a genocide at the hands of the Islamic State across the Middle East, Mr. Pence said the "sad reality" is that the U.N. spends about $1 billion per year on humanitarian aid in the region that doesn't help Christians enough.
"While faith-based groups with proven track records and deep roots in these communities are more than willing to assist, the United Nations too often denies their funding requests," Mr. Pence said. "My friends, those days are over. This is the moment. Now is the time. And America will support these people in their hour of need."
The vice president said the U.S. will "stand with those who suffer for their faith because that's what Americans have always done because the common bond of our humanity demands a strong response."
"And so as a nation, we pledge to support them in these trying times, and every day -- every day -- I know the American people offer forth a chorus of prayers for these communities from our hearts to the heart of heaven," he said.

The news reports were all based on a study published by Earth and Planetary Science Letters based on new research by Zdenek Futera at the University College Dublin in Ireland and several collaborators. It backs up previous work by others published in 2014 in the Scientific American and the theory known as "primary water."
Why am I telling you all this?
Because the theory and the studies hold at least three world-shaking consequences:
That far from Earth having a limited amount of fresh water for its teeming population, there may be an unlimited amount deep beneath its mantle.
That virtually unreported in these findings is the fact that, if correct, this theory and these findings would seem to confirm the biblical account of the great Flood in the time of Noah.
They could also provide a glimpse into future biblical prophecies about the period known as the "Kingdom of God" on Earth that the Bible predicts will occur after the return of Jesus the Messiah.

Social Media Censoring Those Who Counter Jihad

For the past few years, large social media and other online companies have been seeking to restrict or even criminalize content that could be construed as critical of Islam or Muslims, including when the material simply exposes the words and actions of radical Islamists.
The recent attempt by the digital payment platform, PayPal, to forbid two conservative organizations -- Jihad Watch and the American Freedom Defense Initiative -- from continuing to use the service to receive donations, is a perfect case in point. Although PayPal reversed the ban, its initial move was part of an ongoing war against the free speech of counter-jihadists -- those working to expose the ideology, goals, tactics and strategies of Islamic supremacists, and who are trying to defeat or at least to deter the Islamic supremacist global agenda.
Examples of this kind of censorship abound. In October 2016, for instance, conservative radio host and author Dennis Prager's "PragerU" -- which produces five-minute clips presented by leading experts in the fields of economics, politics, national security and culture -- announced that more than a dozen of its videos were facing restricted access on YouTube, a subsidiary of Google. In theory, this meant that users who employed the filter for sexually explicit or violent content would be blocked from it.
Among these restricted videos however, were six relating to Islam: "What ISIS Wants," presented by Tom Joscelyn, Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies; "Why Don't Feminists Fight for Muslim Women?" presented by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institute and Harvard's Belfer Center; "Islamic Terror: What Muslim Americans Can Do," presented by Khurram Dara, a Muslim American activist, author and attorney; "Pakistan: Can Sharia and Freedom Coexist?" and "Why Do People Become Islamic Extremists?" presented by Haroon Ullah, a foreign policy professor at Georgetown University; and "Radical Islam: The Most Dangerous Ideology," presented by Raymond Ibrahim, author of The Al Qaeda Reader.

iPhone Apps Can Secretly Turn On Your Camera And Take Pictures At Any Time

A new warning has been issued to iPhone users. Apps downloaded to the smartphones can turn on the phone's camera and take pictures at any time, and it's doing it secretly.
Felix Krause, an Austrian developer who works for Google, built an app that was able to take pictures of its user every second and upload them, without the app or the phone ever notifying the user.
He called it a "privacy loophole that can be abused by iOS apps." When an app wants to access the camera, for example, to scan a credit card or take a profile picture during the set-up process, the iPhone user must give the app permission to access the camera, in the same way that apps must ask to access the camera roll, location, and contact information and to send notifications.

It's official – if you don't believe in ghosts, you're in the minority.

The Chapman University of American Fears 2017 has revealed a surprising number of Americans believe in the supernatural. A solid majority – 55 percent – believe ancient advanced civilizations such as Atlantis once existed, and more than 50 percent also believe places can be haunted by spirits.

More than a third of Americans also believe aliens have visited and a quarter think some people are capable of telekinesis, or moving objects by the power of their minds.
The survey found certain types of people are more likely to hold such beliefs – especially unmarried women who claim to be religious and politically conservative but do not often attend formal religious services. Residents of the West Coast were also reportedly more likely to believe in the paranormal.
Pastor Carl Gallups, author of the end-times examination "When The Lion Roars," suggests there is something real behind how many Americans now report belief in the paranormal.
"I believe the relatively new all-encompassing media environment and the rapidly changing culture have contributed to the growth in reported ‘haunting' experiences and other dark spiritual encounters," he said. "All of this is also supplying a greater stage for the demonic realm, which is very real and biblically prophesied. The Bible is clear that in the age just before the return of Christ that the world would experience a literal demonic outpouring. The Scriptures declare that this coming spiritual deluge will eventually bring about a desperate state of apostasy in the church, a diabolical delusion among the nations, and a spirit of abject lawlessness that will sweep the planet. We are at least in the beginning stages of all three of those prophesied conditions – and maybe further down the road than just the ‘beginning.'"
Kari Paul reports in Marketwatch "interest in spirituality has been booming in recent years while interest in religion plummets, especially among millennials."
More than half of young adults believe astrology is a science and the "psychic services industry" has been growing for several years.

"Reaper" Cyberattack Could Take Down The Entire Internet

Last year, the botnet Mirai caused a massive distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack in October, knocking popular websites off the internet for millions of users. Right now, the next cyber hurricane is on the way, and it could take down the entire internet.
According to ZD Net, the botnet, dubbed "Reaper" by researchers at Netlab 360, is appearing on the radar of security researchers. A little over a month ago, the researchers detected the sizable botnet of infected Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
Now, just weeks later, it's on track to become one of the largest botnets recorded in recent years.
The botnet is said to have ensnared almost two million Internet-connected webcams, security cameras, and digital video recorders (DVRs) in the past month, says Check Point, which also published research, putting its growth at a far faster pace than Mirai.

Germany: Full Censorship Now Official

A new German law introducing state censorship on social media platforms came into effect on October 1, 2017. The new law requires social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, to censor their users on behalf of the German state.
Social media companies are obliged to delete or block any online "criminal offenses" such as libel, slander, defamation or incitement, within 24 hours of receipt of a user complaint -- regardless of whether or the content is accurate or not. Social media companies receive seven days for more complicated cases.
If they fail to do so, the German government can fine them up to 50 million euros for failing to comply with the law.
This state censorship makes free speech subject to the arbitrary decisions of corporate entities that are likely to censor more than absolutely necessary, rather than risk a crushing fine.
When employees of social media companies are appointed as the state's private thought police and given the power to shape the form of current political and cultural discourse by deciding who shall be allowed to speak and what to say, and who shall be shut down, free speech becomes nothing more than a fairy tale. Or is that perhaps the point?

"The Kurds have no friends but the mountains," is an old lament. Last week, it must have been very much on Kurdish minds.

As their U.S. allies watched, the Kurdish peshmerga fighters were run out of Kirkuk and all the territory they had captured fighting ISIS alongside the Americans. The Iraqi army that ran them out was trained and armed by the United States.

The U.S. had warned the Kurds against holding the referendum on independence on Sept. 25, which carried with 92 percent. Iran and Turkey had warned against an independent Kurdistan that could be a magnet for Kurdish minorities in their own countries.

But the Iraqi Kurds went ahead. Now they have lost Kirkuk and its oil, and their dream of independence is all but dead.

More troubling for America is the new reality revealed by the rout of the peshmerga. Iraq, which George W. Bush and the neocons were going to fashion into a pro-Western democracy and American ally, appears to be as close to Iran as it is to the United States.

After 4,500 U.S. dead, scores of thousands wounded and a trillion dollars sunk, our 15-year war in Iraq could end with a Shiite-dominated Baghdad aligned with Tehran.

With that grim prospect in mind, Secretary Rex Tillerson said Sunday, "Iranian militias that are in Iraq, now that the fight against … ISIS is coming to a close … need to go home. Any foreign fighters in Iraq need to go home."

Tillerson meant Iran's Quds Force in Iraq should go home, and the Shiite militia in Iraq should be conscripted into the army.
But what if the Baghdad regime of Haider al-Abadi does not agree? What if the Quds Force does not go home to Iran and the Shiite militias that helped retake Kirkuk refuse to enlist in the Iraqi army?

Who then enforces Tillerson's demands?

Consider what is happening in Syria.

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, largely Kurdish, just annihilated ISIS in Raqqa and drove 60 miles to seize Syria's largest oil field, al-Omar, from ISIS. The race is now on between the SDF and Bashar Assad's army to secure the border with Iraq.

Bottom line: The U.S. goal of crushing the ISIS caliphate is almost attained. But if our victory in the war against ISIS leaves Iran in the catbird seat in Baghdad and Damascus, and its corridor from Tehran to Baghdad, Damascus and Beirut secure, is that really a victory?

Do we accept that outcome, pack up and go home? Or do we leave our forces in Syria and Iraq and defy any demand from Assad to vacate his country?

Sunday's editorial in the Washington Post, "The Next Mideast Wars," raises the crucial questions now before us.

Would President Trump be willing to fight a new war to keep Iran from consolidating its position in Iraq and Syria? Would the American people support such a war with U.S. troops?

Would Congress, apparently clueless to the presence of 800 U.S. troops in Niger, authorize a new U.S. war in Syria or Iraq?

If Trump and his generals felt our vital interests could not allow Syria and Iraq to drift into the orbit of Iran, where would we find allies for such a fight?

If we rely on the Kurds in Syria, we lose NATO ally Turkey, which regards Syria's Kurds as collaborators of the PKK in Turkey, which even the U.S. designates a terrorist organization.

The decision as to whether this country should engage in new post-ISIS wars in the Mideast, however, may be taken out of our hands.

Saturday, Israel launched new air strikes against gun positions in Syria in retaliation for shells fired into the Golan Heights.

Damascus claims that Israel's "terrorist" allies inside Syria fired the shells, to give the IDF an excuse to attack.

Why would Israel wish to provoke a war with Syria?

Because the Israelis see the outcome of the six-year Syrian civil war as a strategic disaster.

Hezbollah, stronger than ever, was part of Assad's victorious coalition. Iran may have secured its land corridor from Tehran to Beirut. Its presence in Syria could now be permanent.

And only one force in the region has the power to reverse the present outcome of Syria's civil war – the United States.

Bibi Netanyahu knows that if war with Syria breaks out, a clamor will arise in Congress to have the U.S. rush to Israel's aid.

Closing its Sunday editorial, the Post instructed the president:

"A failure by the United States to defend its allies or promote new political arrangements for (Syria and Iraq) will lead only to more war, the rise of new terrorist threats, and, ultimately, the necessity of more U.S. intervention."

The interventionist Post is saying: The situation is intolerable. Confront Assad and Iran now, or fight them later.

Trump is being led to the Rubicon. If he crosses, he joins Bush II in the history books.

"Learning about Islam and the Arab World" is the topic of a two-part course that began Oct. 14 and will continue Oct. 21. It is being led by LAUSD teachers Richard Jessel and Rosa Melendez, according to a posting on the website of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, or FORUSA.
One person, who is Christian, attended the Oct. 14 class and told The Israel Group: "The workshop was nothing more than lectures proclaiming the virtues of Islam, while following the same party lines: All negative information about Islam was labeled as lies, mistranslations, ignorance, prejudice and hoaxes; speakers stated that violent jihad is non-doctrinal, bulls–t; Christians and Jews were always better off living under Muslim rule and anyone who says otherwise is lying."

Residents of Israel's Golan Heights region are on edge following the latest exchange of fire on the border with Syria.
Early Saturday morning, five rockets were launched from Syria into Israel, hitting open areas, causing no injuries or damage. This prompted an IDF strike later in the day on three Syrian artillery pieces.
"Whether errant or not, any future occurrences will force the IDF to intensify its response," the IDF said. "The IDF holds the Syrian regime responsible and won't tolerate any attempt to breach Israeli sovereignty or threaten Israeli civilians' safety."

The attack on September 11, 2001, was the deadliest attack in US history and has been surrounded by controversy since which makes this tying it in with this warning of new attacks particularly worrisome.

The Bosnian war of 1992-1995 seems to have been largely forgotten about nowadays, but it continues to have large consequences for U.S. foreign policy and the war on terror.
Many fighters were radicalized during the conflict and in recent years have turned up in many war zones in Europe and elsewhere. In addition, the war attracted many radical Islamists from outside Bosnia, who got their first real taste of armed conflict.
Thinking back to the way the Bosnian war was characterized in the 1990s, this may be surprising. The most common rubric used to understand the conflict, at least in the U.S., was that it was a resurgence of an "ancient ethnic conflict."
This phrase was always a bit misleading - the war also had roots in economic strife and the broader conflicts that accompanied the end of the Cold War - but contained a grain of truth.
Calling the Bosnian War an "ethnic" conflict was also misleading in another way. In the U.S., we are used to thinking of "ethnicity" as a concept somewhat analogous to "race."

The head of an association of Olympic athletes wants to require anyone who participates in the Summer or Winter Games to be implanted with a tracking chip to prevent the use of performance-enhancing drugs.
Mike Miller, CEO of the World Olympians Association, remarked recently at an anti-doping forum in London that athletes should accept digital implants or be barred from Olympic-level competition, according to the Guardian of London.
"Some people say it's an invasion of privacy," Miller said. "Well, sport is a club and people don't have to join the club if they don't want to, if they can't follow the rules."

Somebody has to state the obvious when it comes to the political agenda of "transgenderism."
There's no science behind it. There's no common sense behind it. There's no morality behind it.
Yet, our society has embraced the idea of allowing gender-confused small children to determine for themselves whether they are boys or girls and want to choose chemical castration and/or sterilization – ignoring the dire medical and health risks such procedures pose.
That's why I appreciate Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the American College of Pediatricians, for speaking out boldly against the advance of political correctness and for sound medical practices.
"Chemical castration is what you're doing when you put any biologically normal child on puberty blockers," she said recently. "It's treating puberty like a disease, arresting a normal process which is critical to normal development and bad for kids."
I'm not a doctor, but this seems like simple common sense to me. What about you?
She continues: "Sterilization: not good for kids. Prepping them for what will likely result in a case in girls a double mastectomy at 16 – not how you treat depression or anxiety, and I have plenty of experience treating teenagers with depression, anxiety, even suicidal depression. Indoctrinating pre-school kids with the lie that you can be trapped in the wrong body, again, that's disrupting their normal reality testing and cognitive development. Those things are abusive."

Wildfires Become Deadliest in CA History, Death Toll Continues to Rise
After four days of terrorizing Wine Country and surrounding regions, the Northern California wildfires on Thursday became the deadliest in state history, with 31 confirmed fatalities and more expected. The most destructive of those, the Tubbs fire, killed at least 15 people, and new figures told of its destruction. Santa Rosa lost 2,834 homes and approximately 400,000 square feet of commercial space, and Mayor Chris Coursey expects the numbers to grow.
“We all have suffered a trauma here,” the mayor said. He is said it will take time to recover “from this incident. The city of Santa Rosa has suffered a serious blow.” Even as fire resources pour in from out of state, Cal Fire Director Ken Pimlott expects the fires to continue to burn “erratically” and “have the potential to shift in any direction at any time.”

Since Christ first promised His disciples He would return, Christians have wondered if their generation is the one that would witness the fulfillment of that promise.
And probably every generation since has thought itself to be the last generation, basing their belief on the perceived or actual declining moral standards of society in their day.
Yet for all the speculation and hearsay, only one generation can be the final generation, and all the evidence points to ours.
For centuries, Christians have used anecdotal evidence, such as "things have never been so bad" or "look at all the evil in the world," as a basis for believing their generation was the last generation of this age. Yet very few biblical signs of Christ's return, if any at all, were present for these generations.
Now, fast forward to the present day when almost every sign of Christ's return is present. Israel is once again a nation, poised to fulfill the final seven years of God's divine plan (Daniel 9:24). Travel and knowledge have dramatically increased (Daniel 12:4).
Russia, Iran, and a unique coalition of anti-Israeli nations are gathering in concert (Ezekiel 38-39) and many other end times prophecies (too numerous to list here) have been fulfilled or are in the process of being fulfilled in our time.
But one of the most recognizable signs that our generation is in the last days is that ours is the first generation with, or about to acquire, the technology necessary to fulfill many of the end times prophecies.

It doesn't seem that long ago that drones were regarded as being incredibly high-tech, and prohibitively expensive. That's no longer the case.
Hobbyists race drones against one another through obstacle courses, companies are developing drone delivery services, we're using them to collect geographical data. Yesterday's shiny new gadget is today's affordable toy.
Drones are the sort of technology that we talk about "falling into the wrong hands," and that is exactly what FBI Direct Christopher Wray is warning Congress.
"I think we do know that terrorist organizations have an interest in using drones," Wray testified in a hearing for the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
"We've seen that overseas already with growing frequency. I think the expectation is that it's coming here imminently. I think they are relatively easy to acquire, relatively easy to operate, and quite difficult to disrupt and monitor," Wray added.

This week, President Donald Trump is expected to speak about Iran -- specifically, the fate of the Iran deal (JCPOA).
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has been following Iran policy discussion closely for years, and we are in touch with a wide range of decision-makers from the US and overseas.
From the start, the AJC took a deliberative approach to the JCPOA, just as we will do depending on what the president says regarding certification/decertification of the deal, and the role of Congress going forward.
After the announcement of the agreement, on July 14, 2015, we dedicated 23 days to reviewing it thoroughly, meeting privately with a number of world leaders, including Secretary of State John Kerry, in the process.
In the end, we opposed the deal, believing that it fell short on several key fronts, among them:
The shift in negotiating strategy from "dismantle (the nuclear program) in order to dismantle (the international sanctions)" to "delay (the nuclear program) in order to dismantle (the sanctions)";
The provision of a sunset clause, which paves the way for Iran to become a nuclear-threshold nation down the road;
The failure to address Iran's ballistic missile program;
The omission of military sites from those facilities subject to inspection; and
The absence of any reference to Iran's support for terrorism and regional destabilization.

European countries are not exactly known for their love of Israel. Yet recent actions taken by the governments of Norway and Belgium suggest that, in at least one important respect, those two nations have gone much further than the U.S. in confronting the problem of Palestinian incitement against Israel.
Belgium, which has been giving the Palestinian Arabs more than $20 million annually, announced this week that it "will put on hold any projects related to the construction or equipment of Palestinian schools."
This followed a report by Palestinian Media Watch that a Belgian-funded Palestinian school, the Beit Awwa Basic Girls School, has changed its name to the Dalal Mughrabi Elementary School.
For those who don't recognize the name, Mughrabi was the leader of a squad of Fatah terrorists who landed on Israel's shore, just north of Tel Aviv, on March 9, 1978. There was another young woman on the beach that morning.
Gail Rubin, an American Jewish nature photographer, was photographing rare birds near the water. Gail's work had been exhibited at the Jewish Museum in Manhattan, and other major venues. She also happened to be the niece of Sen. Abraham Ribicoff (D-Conn.).
One of the terrorists, Hussain Fayadh, later explained to a Lebanese television station what happened next, "Sister Dalal al-Mughrabi had a conversation with the American journalist. Before killing her, Dalal asked: 'How did you enter Palestine?' Rubin answered: 'They gave me a visa.' Dalal said: 'Did you get your visa from me, or from Israel? I have the right to this land. Why didn't you come to me?' Then Dalal opened fire on her."
As Gail lay dying on the beach, Mughrabi and her comrades strolled over to the nearby Coastal Road. An Israeli bus approached; they hijacked it. During the ensuing mayhem, they murdered 36 passengers, 12 of them children.

Some 31% of the Bible is God letting mankind know what the future holds. And I'm not just talking about the writings of the Major and Minor Prophets and the book of Revelation.
If you don't want to read prophecy, then you also have to skip the Psalms, Jesus' own teachings in the Gospels, and pretty much all the books by Peter, Paul, Jude and John. The Apostle Paul warned Christians, "Do not despise prophecies." He even confirmed that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" and so that must also include the prophetic writings.
And, even Jesus throughout the Gospels and Revelation, recited prophecies from the Old Testament and taught new ones. To top it all off, Jesus promised a blessing for those who read and obey the prophecies in the book of Revelation.
So, if prophecy is so important to Jesus, then shouldn't it be important to Christians as well?

Where is Your Bible? Is The Church Ignoring "The Oracles Of God"?

The KGB finally got what it wanted--the separation of church and Bible in the West--with disastrous results.
Two majors with the KGB stood over Gavin Ashenden, who was caught smuggling Bibles into the old Soviet Union during the eighties. Who were his contacts, and where were the Bibles going?
If Ashenden didn't cooperate, the KGB officers warned, he'd be convicted of smuggling gold bullion into the country--because of his gold wedding ring! Alas, this trumped up charge was no joke. The sentence was 20 years in a Siberian labor camp.
But Ashenden stood firm, and they finally let him go.
If only Christians in the West would do likewise when it comes to the Bible. Ashenden, who's an Anglican priest and a contributor to the BBC, was back in Russia this month and got an earful from some of the Russian people, who accused Western Christians of capitulating to secular culture, especially when it comes to the redefinition of marriage.
They told him "we have lived under the dead weight of atheist secularism, and we know how empty and dangerous it is to human flourishing."
In "Anglican Ink" Ashenden notes that when the Marxists took control of Russia a century ago, they first set their sights on Christians and the churches--and they're doing it again. As before, he adds, "The cultural and political screws are slowly tightening against those who do read the Bible and keep faith with it in the public space."
Tragically, many Christians--or at least those who identify as Christians--have given up the Bible, which Ashenden calls "the bedrock of the church"--without a whimper of protest. A recent survey says that 60 percent of the members of the Church of England "never" read the Bible--that's right, never.

The country that censors "offensive" words from children's books -- Swedish publishers and libraries have censored, among others, the classic Astrid Lindgren books about Pippi Longstocking -- has apparently found politically correct replacements.
Farfar har fyra fruar ("Grandad Has Four Wives") and Mormor är inget spöke ("Grandma Is Not a Ghost"), two books written by the Swedish author Oscar Trimbel, were featured at the book fair in Gothenburg recently.
Both books are aimed at 3-6 year-olds. The first book is about "Asli, who has never been to Somalia, but now she is going there with her father to meet her four grandmothers". Swedish children, evidently, are supposed to learn that the Islamic practice of polygamy -- illegal in Sweden -- is completely normal.
The second book, "Grandma Is Not a Ghost", which features a drawing of a grandmother in a full-length jilbab on the cover, tells the story of "Omar, who meets his grandmother from Somalia. Omar wants to dress up as a ghost for Halloween and he wants his grandma to come along so that it will be spooky".

Palestinian Normalization -- With Hamas, Not Israel

When Palestinian women took part in a march with Israeli women for peace this week, they were condemned in the harshest terms by many other Palestinians, who called for their punishment.
The Palestinian women who participated in the October 8 event, organized by a group called Women Wage Peace, have been denounced by many of their own people as and "traitors" and "whores."
Conversely, when Palestinian Authority (PA) officials held "reconciliation" talks with Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip and Egypt during the same period, many Palestinians praised them as "heroes" and "brave."
Judging from the reactions of many Palestinians, especially on social media, they prefer peace with Hamas rather than with Israel.
The thousands of Palestinian women who participated in the march with Israeli women are being accused of promoting "normalization" with Israel. This, in the eyes of their critics, is an abhorrent and despicable act, tantamount to "high treason" -- an offense punishable by death.
Prior to the women's march, Palestinian activists waged an online bid to stop the Palestinian women from taking part in the "shameful" event. It was a vicious campaign that lasted for several days and that accused the Palestinian women of treason for promoting "normalization" with the "Israeli enemy."
One group, The Women's Campaign for Boycotting Israeli Merchandise, said in a statement that the planned march was "hurtful to Palestinian and Arab and international efforts to boycott and isolate Israel." The group pointed out that the march coincided with a "Zionist-imperialist onslaught to undermine the Palestinian national project."

Growing Iranian-Hezbollah Confidence To Take On Israel After ISIS

A recent speech by Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah contained unusually aggressive statements, calling for the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel, and claiming that a future war would lead to Israel's "demise."
Nasrallah said that Israeli Jews should "leave and return to the countries from which they came so they are not fuel for any war that the idiotic [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu government takes them to. ... They will have no secure place in occupied Palestine."
The speech echoed rhetoric recently espoused by the Iranian regime and its military officials, who said that Tel Aviv would be "destroyed" if Israel made "a mistake," and that Israel would not survive for more than 25 years.
"Israel should remain silent and count down the days to its death, because any minor mistake would lead to its demise as fast as lightning," said Iranian army commander Maj.-Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi.
These threats contain two messages.
The first message is a reaffirmation of the Shiite axis' jihadist, ideological, long-term commitment to Israel's destruction. The second message is more immediate; it is an attempt to deter Israeli decision makers from trying to stop Iran and its proxies from taking over Syria.
Iran, together with its chief agent Hezbollah and several other Shiite militias, are helping the Assad regime complete its victory in Syria, with the assistance of Russia. This is a victory made possible by the mass murder and terrorization of Syria's Sunni population, and the ensuing mass movement of refugees out of the country.
The upsurge in war-like rhetoric towards Israel is a signal of growing Iranian-Hezbollah confidence, fueled by their victories in Syria.

Later this month, on Halloween as a matter of fact, the world will observe the 500th anniversary of the Reformation on what is generally agreed upon as its starting date of Oct. 31, 1517, the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg.
While the Reformation Luther ignited rightly repositioned God's Word at the center of the Christian faith rather than man's traditions, institutions, it fell short. It had a dark side.
There was ugly sectarian strife and violence that continued through the 30 Years War that began 101 years later, taking the lives of 8 million Europeans caught up in religious conflict.
While anti-Semitism had injected its ugly spirit into the church before the first century had ended, Luther and John Calvin actually made things worse. One could even argue that the Holocaust more than 400 years later was made possible by that spirit.

Here's a little bit of what Luther wrote about the Jews: "What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews? Pushback Against Transgender Activism

Transgender activism will never succeed in reshaping our society for one simple reason: It is not natural. Biological differences are too deeply instilled in the human race. Male-female distinctives are too obvious and real. It is futile to declare war on gender.
It is one thing to be asked to empathize with those who struggle with gender identity confusion. It is another thing to declare that biological categories do not determine reality.
It is one thing to recognize that some people do not fall within the normal, male-female spectrum due to genetic abnormalities. It is another thing to claim that gender is whatever you perceive it to be.
Every time we hear the announcement that someone is having a boy or a girl, we are reminded that transgender activism is failing. Otherwise, shouldn't the parents-to-be say, "We just saw the ultrasound, and we're having a human!"? Or, perhaps, "How exciting! We saw the ultrasound, and the packaging is female!"?
If we really believed the transgender talking points, that's how we would communicate. And yet even liberal celebrities like Kylie Jenner, the daughter of none other than Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner, announce the sex of their babies when they learn it.
And how many parents are choosing not to name their children in accordance with their biological sex? How many are choosing gender-neutral names in case the child happens not to line up with the sex they were "assigned" at birth?

The U.S. is still poking the eyes of the Kurds in Iraq for their referendum on independence, with the State Department declaring that the Kurds' vote is "illegitimate" and that America opposes an independent state for the Kurds.
"The vote and the results lack legitimacy and we continue to support a united, federal, democratic and prosperous Iraq," said U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders defended the Trump Administration's position using the absurd defense that a unified Iraq can "push back on Iran."
Question: How has that worked since out since 2003?
The U.S. already took a position closer to that of Iran, Turkey, Qatar and various Islamists by expressing its staunch opposition to the Kurdish referendum, which was merely an expression of the desire for independence and not even a formal declaration of statehood.
Then, as the pro-American Kurds celebrated in the streets and enjoyed casting ballots in a region where many cannot, the U.S. State Department rubbed salt in the wound by expressing its "great disappointment" when it could have said nothing or moved on. Iran's propaganda outlets were happy to broadcast the U.S.' comments.

I've gotten a few comments lately asking why I write about current events. I've gotten every variation from "I follow you for prepping information. Why is there so much news on your website?" to "You're an idiot. Why don't you stick to canning?"
Before I hurry back to the kitchen where I belong, there's a short answer and a long answer. Here's the short one: Prepping and current events are inextricably entwined."

The long answer is more involved. If you're anything like me, you've also tried in vain to explain this to folks who just don't get it.
We need to know what is happening in the world around us.
If we don't realize that St. Louis is erupting with violent protests, we may stumble into a dangerous situation. If we don't understand that the Antifa communists are planning sedition beginning on November 4th, we may not be prepared to hunker down and avoid the chaos. If we aren't aware that there is a retail apocalypse going on, we may be totally stunned when the economy all comes crashing down.
It's essential that we pay attention to the world around us because it is just a larger form of situational awareness. While those who live on a secluded mountaintop and never venture down to a town larger than 3000 people may not need to plan around current events, most of us do not live these lives of perfect isolation.
We go to doctor's appointments in large cities. We take vacations. We run errands and go shopping and work in town. We attend the theater and go to concerts. We need to know what's going on. We need to know the trends of civil unrest and whether a controversial verdict is about to be handed down.

Final Assault Launched On ISIS; What Next?

Amid a limited degree of pomp, it was announced this weekend the final battle to defeat ISIS in Syria would begin on October 9.
That's great news after some five years of uncontrolled tyranny. The end of sex slavery, child soldiers and the cruelest of executions will be welcomed by all moral human beings.
However, the next issues - already under consideration by intelligence services for some time - are what happens to the hundreds of ISIS fighters who successfully flee justice and, of course, that burning question: Does the ideology die with Islamic State?
Let's go with the easy one first: The ideology is very much alive, and while it was successfully fueled by ISIS' brilliant propaganda machine, it is not dependent on the fate of Islamic State.
For starters, many of the so-called non-violent Islamist organizations around the globe are a breeding-ground network for terrorists.
Numerous researchers are convinced most terrorists were members of non-violent groups before carrying out their attacks or planned attacks. It's a message our own Raheel Raza recently took to Congress. We need to crack down on the non-violent extremists now.
Political Islam is where the messages are created; the resultant destructive actions are carried out by those willing to go just one step further. Radical mosques, schools, lobbying organizations are where it's at.
They are pushing for greater and stronger Islamization of the West, including the United States. And that is where the real battle lies.
So the answer to the question is simple: No, the ideology does not die with ISIS. It is very much alive. However, finding the solutions is proving extraordinarily illusive.

Let's consider the other issue for a moment: What happens to the ISIS fighters successfully escaping the battle zones of Syria and Iraq?
For many the first port of call is Libya. ISIS encourages its fighters to gather there. It's a country in free fall with not one but two failing governments and a plethora of Islamist organizations running riot in terrain that is hard to police.
Others are heading for the Philippines, Central Asia - the stans, while many simply go home.
Home can mean the U.S., Europe, Arab countries, Southeast Asia and beyond. In other words, wherever there is a strong Muslim community, particularly where political Islam is embraced, you will likely find highly-radicalized former ISIS fighters.
And that of course spells trouble for us in America and for many of our allies across the globe. We simply don't know when and where the next terror attack will be. And that is not to discredit intelligence and law-enforcement agencies.
Yes, they need more resources. Sure, they require more training. And absolutely, there needs to be far more coordination between them. But they are working 24/7 to find the bad guys.
The trouble is, there are lots of bad guys (and gals) out there who want nothing more than to kill us, our way of life and our belief system.

The divisions between Jews in Israel and the US are wide and far-ranging.
In Israel, there are four basic groups: secular, traditional, religious and haredi (ultra-Orthodox). In the US, the groups consist of the Reconstructionist/Reform/Conservative bloc, the Orthodox and the ultra-Orthodox.
The latter two are growing in adherents, while the former are combining congregations, closing synagogues, and generally failing to produce the requisite number of Jewish youngsters necessary to continue, let alone grow, the community.
The split among American Jews is also increasingly evident in the political realm. Most Jews are, by nature, liberal -- and for many, "liberal" has become associated only with the Democratic Party. It seems to have been forgotten that one could also be a liberal Republican.
More importantly, the division between supporters of the two parties has become an impenetrable wall -- with no meeting of the minds possible on most issues. Sadly, support for Israel is becoming one of them.
For as long as I can remember, Jews have overwhelmingly been associated with the Democratic Party, at a ratio of about 3:1. Yet, increasingly, many Democrats are drifting away from Israel.
Following Hillary Clinton's failed presidential campaign, Senator Bernie Sanders has become a key leader of the Democratic Party. Though Jewish, Sanders likes to talk about his "Polish" ancestors. Unfortunately, or perhaps typically, he has little regard for the Jewish homeland.
In his interview at Intercept.com on September 22, Sanders revealed his true feelings on Israel: "Certainly the United States is complicit [in the Israeli 'occupation' of 'Palestinian' land], but it's not to say... that Israel is the only party at fault."
Though nearly the whole world backs the Palestinian Arabs, with the US being one of the few countries to back Israel, Sanders said, "In terms of Israeli-Palestinian relations, the United States has got to play a much more even-handed role."

Pyongyang - the Jerusalem of the East
The city of Pyongyang is today synonymous with the tyrannical nuclear-tipped regime of Kim Jong-Un. However if we were to wind back the clock 100 years, we would see a very different city.
After the first Presbyterian mission opened in Pyongyang in 1895, revival movements rapidly brought in many converts.
These waves of revival culminated in the 'Great Pyongyang Revival' of 1907 which spread out from the city and touched the whole nation of Korea.
The fruit of the revival was that by 1910, Pyongyang was the most Christianised area of Korea - boasting over 60'000 Christians in the Presbyterian Church alone!
Christian activity was such a prominent feature that postcards from those days featured pictures of Christian street evangelists in action rather than the more traditional postcard pictures of scenic sites.
By the time of the Communist take-over in 1948, there were 2000 churches throughout Korea and they were predominantly located in the North.
Pyongyang itself was known as a bustling head-quarter of missionary activity and was affectionately called the 'Jerusalem of the East'.

Reporters continue scratching their heads about what President Trump meant when he spoke of the "calm before the storm" Thursday as he was hosting a dinner for military commanders and their spouses.
It seems clear to me that he was sending a powerful message to North Korea and Iran: change your behavior now, or prepare to face new but unspecified painful consequences.
North Korea and Iran are taking the measure of President Trump to see how far they can push him and how much they can get away with. The North Koreans continue testing nuclear weapons and long-range missiles and threaten to launch a nuclear attack on America and our allies that could kills millions.
Iran is likely engaging in activities that could contribute to the design and development of its own nuclear explosive device.
If these worrisome actions by the two rogue nations persist, there will be a storm. And as candidate Trump said during his campaign for the White House, he will not tell our enemies what kind of storm to expect -- only that he will not allow current trends that endanger our national security and that of our allies to continue unabated.
The president must make some difficult decisions: whether to continue to rely on economic sanctions that don't appear to be working against North Korea; and whether to refuse to certify Iranian compliance with the bad nuclear deal and demand that additional constraints be placed on the Islamic Republic's dangerous and provocative activities.
President Trump faces an Oct. 15 deadline to decide whether to certify Iranian compliance with the nuclear agreement, which is designed to keep it from developing nuclear weapons for the next few years. News reports say he is expected to refuse to make that certification.

Without getting into the important questions of how the war would start — which would certainly change key aspects of how combat operations proceeded — the basic aspects of conflict are predictable.
Thousands of aircraft will wage an epic battle across the entire Korean Peninsula. The two American Air Force fighter wings—100-plus fighter aircrafts permanently stationed there — accompanied by our South Korean partners would fight the opening minutes, striking against the North’s aged, but plentiful air forces while also bombing Kim Jong-un’s missiles and artillery.
f the North gains the initiative, we will have to accept higher risk going after targets before establishing our air superiority — meaning we will suffer higher losses. In short order, the air forces in South Korea would be joined by U.S. Navy, Marine, and Air Force fighters from Okinawa and Japan. U.S. bombers from around the globe would also be called in. Reviving The Churches Of Rural America

A lot of us want to do great things for the Lord. But great doesn't necessarily mean big.
We're all familiar with Jesus' parable of the lost sheep, in which a man leaves his 99 sheep to find the one that is missing.
But a lot of pastors today, in their understandable passion to minister to the 99, have left the one all alone. I speak of the forgotten sheep of rural America.
The great missionary statesman William Carey once said, "To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map." And the open maps of today are telling us that there is a massive shift to the cities from the countryside.
Operation World points out that the global share of people living in urban areas has shot up from 13 percent in 1900 to above 50 percent today.
In America, the trend is even stronger. According to the USDA, overall, the country's "non-metro" areas have lost an average of 43,000 residents every year since 2010.
Job prospects in the countryside are falling, and poverty rates are rising. According to one report, deaths are now outpacing births in hundreds of rural counties.
So it's hardly surprising that urban and suburban ministry is a focus for so many. But what about the lost sheep scattered in the countryside?
Well, as you might expect, their churches are shrinking and their pastors are disappearing. The National Congregations Study finds that the percentage of rural congregations has plummeted from 43 percent in 1998 to 32 percent in 2012.
And what about the pastors? With so many churches struggling to keep their doors open, fewer and fewer can afford to pay a pastor, and thus many of them are going without.
Well, that's where an innovative and yet back-to-basics ministry such as Village Missions comes in.

No Safe Place In Next War: The Army’s Expanded Battlefield

What if the next war starts, not with a gunshot, but with a tweet? As tensions rise, US troops discover their families’ names, faces, and home addresses have been posted on social media as they prepare to deploy, along with exhortations to kill the fascists/imperialists/infidels (pick one). Trolls call them late at night with death threats, a mentally ill lone wolf runs over a soldier’s children, fake news claims the military is covering up more deaths, and official social media accounts are hacked to post falsehoods. The whole force is distracted and demoralized.

Meanwhile, defense contractors discover the networks they use to deliver supplies to the military have been penetrated. Vital spare parts go missing without ever leaving the warehouse because the serial number saying which crate they’re in has been scrambled in the database. As railways and seaports prepare to transport heavy equipment, they discover key railroad switches, loading cranes, and other equipment – civilian-owned but vital to the military operation – now malfunction unpredictably, forcing prolonged safety inspections.
US forces finally cut through this cyber thicket and begin to deploy abroad by air and sea – but now the shooting starts. A thousand miles from enemy territory, submarines sink transport ships with torpedoes, cruise missiles and covertly laid mines. A few hundred miles out, long-range anti-aircraft missiles blunt the US air offensive. While stealth fighters can penetrate the defenses, the lumbering fuel tankers that let them cover long distances cannot. Transport planes must unload the troops at airfields well outside the danger zone, while transport ships must unload at distant ports.

Europe Funds Palestinian Schools Named After Terrorists Who Killed Children

The Belgian government is being urged to take action after a Palestinian school that was built with its funding was renamed in honor of a mass-murdering terrorist.
The Beit Awwa Basic Girls School was established in the southern West Bank "through a fund from the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and through the Belgian Development Agency BTC," according to a plaque at the school, which was first identified by the monitoring group Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).
Now known as the Dalal Mughrabi Elementary Mixed School, it was renamed by the Palestinian Authority's (PA) Ministry of Education in honor of the Palestinian terrorist who took part in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre.
Thirty-eight people -- including 13 children -- were killed and over 70 were wounded in the attack, which turned Mughrabi into a venerated hero among Palestinians.
The school's logo also features a map of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, all depicted as a single territory. Its Facebook page has posted pictures glorifying Palestinian attackers, including Adi Hashem al Masalmeh, who was fatally shot after stabbing an Israeli soldier in October 2015.
Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the AJC Transatlantic Institute, told The Algemeiner that "the Palestinian Authority under President Abbas has established a culture of incitement that fuels terror and hatred, making it impossible to see how he can ever lead any serious peace negotiations."
"By naming schools after terrorists, the PA is indoctrinating even little children, apparently determined to ensure this conflict will last well into the next generation," he continued.
Schwammenthal called on the Belgian government to "investigate this issue and insist that the PA rename the school immediately."

More Jihadists In The West - Why?

Growing up under Sharia law and in Islamist schools, we were taught that the highest level a person can reach is to be a mujahid. A mujahid is a person that God truly loves. Once, I dared to ask what exactly the term mujahid meant.
The imam said that a true mujahid is a person who does not just die defensively for protecting Allah's values. A true mujahid, one who is most loved by God, is a person who acts offensively, including through violence, when he or she sees our religious values are being violated in any part of the world. That person is a true holy warrior, he explained.
That description has been echoed through the halls of schools, and whispered into the minds of children. It has followed me throughout my life. Now, as I reflect on the first time this thirst for violence was explained to me, an eerie reality comes into focus. If the teachings of these radical imams are accurate, then the rate of mujahidin in the West appears to be increasing far higher in the West than in the East.
As some clamored to reach this ideal, we were told that one major indicator of whether the number of mujahdin is increasing or decreasing in a society is to look at the rate of those who are becoming martyrs. The higher the rate, the more mujahidin are there, and the more satisfied God is. It was a powerful message delivered to young, impressionable minds, that were eager to please and learn.
Growing up in the Middle East, within Muslim-majority nations, I rarely heard of radical Islamists committing terrorist acts in the region. But in the few years that I have lived in the West, I have regularly heard of bombing and suicide missions committed by radical Islamists. Their targets have been Americans and Europeans, including attacks in London, Paris, Nice, Brussels, Boston and San Bernardino -- and often one another.

9 Fulfillments Of Paul Harvey's 'If I Were The Devil: How To Destroy America"

The late Paul Harvey was a conservative talk-radio pioneer. He intrigued listeners by beginning a story, stopping to take a commercial break and returning with his trademark line, now for "the rest of the story." Usually, the rest of that story held a surprise ending. His niche was not necessarily to preach as much as it was to educate through storytelling, often sharing the "mysteries of history" to make a point.
When Harvey did don his commentary hat, it usually was to voice concerns about America's deterioration. One of his best-known broadcasts was a 1964 soliloquy on the decline of American moralism aptly titled "If I Were the Devil: How to Destroy America."

In it, Harvey said, as the devil, he would seek to manipulate those institutions that had made America great – the churches, the schools, the media, etc. He would prey upon the minds of the young, steering them away from faith and discipline and toward a "do as you please" mindset – nurtured by alcohol and drugs and fanned by a "mesmerizing" media interested only in higher ratings.
The ultimate goal of Harvey's devil was to divide Americans, causing them to turn upon themselves. How goes America would then go the rest of the world – for its collapse would be the linchpin in the devil's pursuit of global conquest.
Ten years before his 2009 death, Harvey – even more worried than in 1964 – published his soliloquy as a written commentary with only a few changes. Despite Americans' euphoria over having won the Cold War, the intervening three and a half decades that had passed since his broadcast had only further convinced Harvey America's moral compass was badly broken.
What Harvey first grasped more than a half century earlier, most Americans, like the lobster placed in cool water before being heated up so as to not realize what lay ahead, had not. Now, eight years after Harvey's death, the devil's work in destroying America is more apparent than ever.
Let us briefly examine the relevancy today of some of Harvey's concerns.
In 2017, church membership in America remains in a steady decline as the church lingers in a state of cultural irrelevancy. Estimates are that half of all Americans have no church affiliation. Statistics show for every 1,000 churches opening their doors, 4,000 are closing theirs. America now ranks third among those countries with the largest number of Christians not affiliated with a church.
As to education, Harvey foresaw where it was heading. "If I were the devil," he said, "I would encourage schools to refine young intellect but neglect to discipline emotions. I'd tell teachers to let those students run wild. And before you knew it, you'd have drug-sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door."
Harvey was right. However, one observation he would fail to make was the moral morass into which many of those responsible for educating our children – their teachers – also would fall.

America is reeling again. Families have been ripped apart and individual lives have been torn apart. One day we're reeling from devastating hurricanes, the next day we're torn apart by racial divisions, the next day we're ripped apart by the worst mass shooting in our history.
The pain is palpable, the shock tangible. Can America still be healed?
At the time of this writing, no one knows what motivated Stephen Paddock to launch his murderous attack during an outdoor, country music concert in Las Vegas.
What we do know is that he was "one of us" - not a terrorist from a foreign country and, to our knowledge, not shouting "Allahu Akbar" (although ISIS stated that he was a recent convert to Islam and claims him as one of its soldiers).
As his brother Eric said, "He was just a guy. Something happened, he snapped or something, he was just a guy. He has no political affiliation, no religious affiliation, as far as we know. This wasn't a terror attack."
He added, "Mars just fell into the earth. We're completely dumbfounded."

ISIS Claims Las Vegas Shooting, Calls Paddock 'Convert'

The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) claimed responsibility on Monday for the shooting on the Las Vegas Strip that killed at least 58 people and injured 518 more, claiming that shooter Stephen Paddock had converted to Islam months ago.
The jihadi group released the claim on its self-styled news agency Amaq, on the encrypted messaging app Telegram. It typically uses this platform for official claims of responsibility.
The statement, in Arabic, read, "Attacker of the #Las_Vegas shooting is a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to targeting coalition countries," Jihadoscope, a cybermonitoring company that monitors jihadi activity, confirmed in a translation sent to Newsweek.
"Attacker of Las Vegas converted several months ago," the text accompanying the claim in a second post read, in what experts say is an unusual move by the group. It usually posts a single message when it claims responsibility for an attack.
Attackers inspired by ISIS have previously sent videos pledging allegiance to leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi before their assaults. No such video has yet emerged from Paddock.
Michael S. Smith II, co-founder of terror analysis company Kronos Advisory, who regularly tracks ISIS activity, also confirmed to Newsweek the claim of responsibility and the claim about Paddock's conversion.

Thousands Of Christians Arrive in Jerusalem For Feast Of Tabernacles

More than 6,000 Christian pilgrims from some 100 countries are set to arrive in Jerusalem this week ahead of the 38th annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration hosted by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ).
The event, which runs this year from Oct. 6-11, is the "largest annual Christian gathering in Israel," David Parsons, vice president and senior spokesman for ICEJ, told JNS.org.
According to ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler, the event is expected to see its largest crowd ever this year, drawing Christians to the Holy Land for a "dynamic worship experience."
"There also is the added attraction of celebrating the 50-year jubilee of a reunited Jerusalem, and this means we are truly in for a banner Feast," said Bühler.
The event commences Oct. 6 with an outdoor meal and concert at the Ein Gedi nature reserve near the Dead Sea. The Feast then moves to Jerusalem throughout the remainder of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, with most activities taking place in capital's Pais Arena.
"For most of the pilgrims," Parsons said, "the biggest highlight is the march through the streets of Jerusalem," which sees thousands of evangelical Christians walk in solidarity with the Jewish state alongside Israelis.

Woman Fired From SouthWest Airlines For Opposing Union Support of Abortion

A woman who objected to her union's financial support of abortion has gone to court after being fired by Southwest Airlines over her "highly offensive" perspective.
The Washington Free Beacon reported the lawsuit brought by Charlene Carter of Aurora, Colorado.
The veteran flight attendant alleges she was fired by Southwest after opposing her union's funding of a trip by officials to attend last winter's pro-abortion Women's March in Washington.
According to the Free Beacon, Carter alleges her employment was terminated for expressing her religious faith regarding abortion in Facebook posts and messages to Audrey Stone, a union official.

The Big Middle East Lie:
Nimer Mahmoud Jamal, the 37-year-old Palestinian terrorist who on September 25 murdered three Israelis at the entrance to Har Adar near Jerusalem, had a permit from the Israeli authorities to work in Israel.
His family and friends say he also had a good life and was considered lucky to have been employed by Jews because he received a higher salary and was protected by Israeli labor laws. The night before Jamal set out in his murderous mission, he spent a few hours at the fitness gym in his village, located only a few miles away from Har Adar.
So, Jamal, the murderer of the three Israelis (two of the victims were Arab Israelis), was not poor. He was not unemployed. In fact, according his friends, Jamal earned much more than what a senior police officer or school teacher working for the Palestinian Authority or Hamas brings home every month.
What was it, then, that drove Jamal to his murderous scheme, gunning down three young men who were supposed to be facilitating his entry into Israel? Was it because he could not provide for his children? No. Was it because his landlord was pressuring him about the rent?
No: Jamal lived in a nice place of his own, complete with furniture, appliances and bedrooms that any family in the West would be proud to own.
Jamal wanted to murder Jews because he believed this was a noble deed that would earn him the status of shaheed (martyr) and hero among his family, friends and society. In Palestinian culture in particular, and Arab culture in general, murderers of Jews are glorified on a daily basis.
They are touted as the lucky ones who are now in the company of Prophet Mohammed and the angels in Paradise. Male terrorists are also busy with the 72 virgins they were awarded as a prize for murdering Jews. The murderers -- as Muslim clerics and leaders hammer into the heads of Palestinians -- are also given access to rivers of honey and fine drinks once they set foot in their imaginary Paradise.
Jamal's friends and family are now convinced that he has been rewarded by Allah and Prophet Mohammed in Paradise for murdering three Israelis. They do not care about his children, whom he left behind, and certainly not about the families of the three Israelis he murdered.

Europe: What Do Islamic Parties Want?

Sweden's brand new first Islamic party, Jasin, is aiming to run for the 2018 parliamentary elections. According to the website of the party, Jasin is a "multicultural, democratic, peaceful party" that is "secular" and aims to "unite everyone from the East... regardless of ethnicity, language, race, skin color or religion". Jasin apparently knows what the Swedes like to hear.
In an interview, the founder and spokesperson of the party, Mehdi Hosseini, who came from Iran to Sweden 30 years ago, revealed that the leader of the new political party, Sheikh Zoheir Eslami Gheraati, does not actually live in Sweden.
He is an Iranian imam, who lives in Teheran, but Jasin wants to bring him to Sweden: "I thought he was such a peaceful person who would be able to manifest the peaceful side of Islam. I think that is needed in Sweden," said Hosseini.
The purpose of the Jasin party, however, does not appear to be either secular or multicultural. In its application to the Swedish Election Authority, the party writes -- with refreshing honesty -- that it will "firstly follow exactly what the Koran says, secondly what Shiite imams say".
The Jasin party also states that it is a "non-jihadi and missionary organization, which will spread Islam's real side, which has been forgotten and has been transformed from a beautiful to a warlike religion..."

1. Nearly a Third of the Bible is Prophecy
Some 31% of the Bible is God letting mankind know what the future holds. And I'm not just talking about the writings of the Major and Minor Prophets and the book of Revelation. The Apostle Paul warned Christians, "Do not despise prophecies." He even confirmed that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" and so that must also include the prophetic writings. And, even Jesus throughout the Gospels and Revelation, recited prophecies from the Old Testament and taught new ones. To top it all off, Jesus promised a blessing for those who read and obey the prophecies in the book of Revelation.
So, if prophecy is so important to Jesus, then shouldn't it be important to Christians as well?

The Trump administration is pressuring Israel for further delays in the construction of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria, according to apparently reliable media reports. If true, friends of Israel have good reason to be concerned.
Ynet, the news site of the Israeli daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, reported Sept. 25 that "at the request of the Trump administration," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has delayed a meeting of the government committee responsible for construction in the territories. The meeting is necessary to proceed with construction projects that are in various stages of completion.
The actual delay of the meeting is not the biggest problem, assuming that the meeting is held sometime in the weeks ahead. But the principle at stake is a very big problem.

Things are dire in Puerto Rico. We haven't heard much directly from people there since Hurricane Maria took out power for the entire island, but what we do know is that the situation is desperate. This is a shocking, real-life glimpse into what it's really like when the S hits the fan.

I saw a post from a friend of a friend who has family in Puerto Rico. I don't have permission to share names, but here's what she said:
"My family has lost everything. My uncle with stage 4 cancer is in so much pain and stuck in the hospital. However conditions in the island are far worse than we imagined and my greatest fear has been made reality. The chaos has begun. The mosquitos have multiplied like the plague. Dead livestock are all over the island including in whatever fresh water supplies they have.
My family has been robbed and have lost whatever little they had left. The gang members are robbing people at gun point and the island is in desperation. People are shooting each other at gas stations to get fuel.
They're telling us to rescue them and get them out of the island because they are scared for their lives. We're talking about 3.5 million people on an island, with no food, no drinking water, no electricity, homes are gone. Family if you have the means to get your people out, do it. This is just the first week. Imagine the days and weeks to come. These are bad people doing bad things to our most vulnerable.

I got online for the first time in days and one of the very first things I saw was an out and out lie about the government's response to the crisis I am in the middle of. I don't care if you hate or love Trump, using the crisis in Puerto Rico to spread political lies is disgusting! I am literally across the street from the airport, and the hotel I am in is where many of the first responders are staying, so here is what is going on from someone who is actually here seeing it. The government is here and has been here! Every single day plane after plane full of FEMA, FBI, homeland security, army, Air Force, Marines, and extra police officers from all over the country shows up. Cargo plane after cargo plane and ship after ship full of supplies shows up. There is a hospital ship off the coast that I can see from the beach. The response was quick and it keeps coming! They are out every day from sun up until sun down. This isn't a political issue, it is a humanitarian one. The lies being spread about the response aren't helping the people here, it is just fueling hate based on lies! If you want to help Puerto Rico, donate money or supplies and pray. If you want to play politics find something else to argue about! Not like there aren't hundreds of topics for you to choose from!
Edited to add this- Roads have been completely destroyed in many areas, especially the remote one. The military and FEMA are going out to these places on foot with 100 lbs + packs on their backs. It is requiring them to cut their way through flooded areas to get there. It will take time to reach everyone when conditions are as bad as they are.

Hugh Hefner has died at the age of 91. I hope he found grace and repentance before leaving this world. I also hope that his death will signify the end of the sexual revolution. It has failed miserably on every front. May it never rise again.
The sexual revolution promised freedom but produced bondage. It promised excitement but produced emptiness. It promised thrills and produced STD's. It was destined to crash and burn from the very first day.
It's a terrible shame it took so long.
Although Alfred Kinsey's perverted sex studies, first released in 1948, helped pave the way for the sexual revolution, the real seeds were planted with Playboy's nude photoshoot of Marilyn Monroe in 1953.
Then, those seeds grew with explosive force in the counterculture revolution of the 1960s. And the rest, as they say, is history - a very sad history, for sure.
Today, 8-year-olds are getting exposed to hardcore pornography.

If you listen to some of Switzerland's pollsters and government officials, the country is suffering from a serious and ever-intensifying crisis -- anti-Muslim bigotry.
In August, a study concluded that Swiss Muslims "are generally well integrated into Swiss society." Their main problem? They face "Islamophobia."
Another study the same month found that the percentage of Swiss non-Muslims who feel "threatened" by Islam had more than doubled since 2004, from 16% to 38%.
At a September 11 conference, Switzerland's Federal Commission against Racism (FCR) issued an explicit alert: "hostility toward Muslims," it warned, was rising - and was "fed by facts that have nothing to do with Muslims themselves."
Conference organizers blamed this "hostility" on online "propaganda"; Interior Minister Alain Berset accused Swiss citizens of erroneously holding "Islam responsible for all the extremist acts committed in its name."

Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank, and Hamas in Gaza, both deny Palestinians their basic civil rights: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom of the press and freedom of assembly. Women's rights are virtually nonexistent.

A report by internet security experts, Symantec, says that a hacking group called Dragonfly 2.0 has gained access to 20 power company networks. The American power grid has been hacked, but for some reason, the culprits restrained themselves from taking down the power like they did in Ukraine recently.
The targets were in the United States, Turkey, and Switzerland. According to Symantec, the hackers did gain access to the interface they would need to control the power equipment, with which they could cause a widespread blackout. Eric Chien, a Symantec security analyst, told Wired:
"There's a difference between being a step away from conducting sabotage and actually being in a position to conduct sabotage ... being able to flip the switch on power generation. We're now talking about on-the-ground technical evidence this could happen in the US, and there's nothing left standing in the way except the motivation of some actor out in the world."
While we were all focused on the natural disasters like wildfires and hurricanes looming over us, this report went all but unnoticed by the mainstream and alternative media alike.

Traditional Middle East rivals Iran and Turkey have found themselves united of late by their mutual opposition to Kurdish independence in Iraq and common interest in ending the six-year war in Syria, among other leading issues in the region.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke Sunday by phone, expressing major concerns a day before voting opened in the northern Kurdish autonomous region of neighboring Iraq. Monday's referendum, in which the region's residents are largely expected to ask for full independence from Baghdad, has been met with widespread criticism from Iraq's central government, as well as from Iran and Turkey, which have battled insurgencies from their own local Kurdish populations and have taken countermeasures to quell potential instability the vote could bring.

"The two leaders noted that not canceling the referendum will bring with it chaos to the region and they also stressed the great importance which they attach to Iraq's territorial integrity,” Erdogan's office said in a statement, according to Reuters.
Turkey had already begun conducting military exercises near its border with Iraq's majority-Kurd north and even said it launched an airstrike Saturday against militants from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), who were preparing for an attack on Turkish troops from northern Iraq, Reuters reported. Erdogan threatened Monday to cut oil trade and send Turkish troops to invade the would-be Kurdish state, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported. As polls closed, Turkey and Iraq conducted "large-scale" joint military drills as a show of force, according to the Associated Press.

A riveting paper was posted September 4, 2017 on the website of "Institut des Libertés," the think tank of the great French financier Charles Gave. In it, he asks: Does the native population -- by which he means the white population -- of Europe face extinction?
His answer is "yes": "It is not good or bad. IT IS", Gave writes. His basic argument is that with a "native" rate of fertility of 1.4, a "migrant" -- by which he means Muslim -- rate of 3.4 to 4 children per woman, and taking the initial Muslim population to be 10% of the total, it will take only 30 to 40 years for the Muslim population to become the majority. Indeed, writes Gave, with a "native" rate of 1.4 for a population of 100, after only two generations you merely see 42 "native" children born.
As expected, Gave was almost immediately scorned as a far-right lunatic for having adopted the theory known in France as "le grand remplacement" ("the great replacement") -- of the native population by a new, migrant population. The theory was earlier disseminated by the writer Renaud Camus, who was close to the Front National political party of Marine Le Pen.

Only 25 Percent Of All Americans Have $10,000 Or More In Savings

We just got more evidence that the middle class is being systematically eviscerated. According to a GOBankingRates survey that was just released, more than half the country has less than $1,000 in savings.
So in the event of a major economic disaster of some kind, over 50 percent of the nation is going to be completely out of cash almost immediately. For years I have been writing about the steady decline of the middle class in the United States, but I still get astounded by numbers such as these.
According to this new survey, only 25 percent of all Americans have $10,000 or more in savings at this point...

$0 saved: 39 percent
Less than $1,000 saved: 18 percent
$1,000 to $4,999 saved: 12 percent
$5,000 to $9,999 saved: 6 percent
$10,000 or more saved: 25 percent
Other surveys have come up with similar results. One discovered that about two-thirds of the country is living paycheck to paycheck, and another which was conducted by the Federal Reserve found that 44 percent of all U.S. adults do not even have enough money "to cover an unexpected $400 expense".

Hezbollah has more than 10,000 fighters in southern Syria ready to confront Israel, a commander for the Iranian-backed Lebanese terror group has said.
“Hezbollah has over 10,000 fighters deployed in southern Syria. Hezbollah is an army of infantry, rockets, tanks, elite forces,” the Hezbollah official told the Middle East Eye this week, amid tensions surrounding the shooting down by the Israeli Air Force on Tuesday of an Iranian-built drone launched by the group as it attempted to cross into airspace.

The commander said the fighters were based in areas surrounding the Golan Heights and that tunnels and military bases were being built for a possible confrontation with Israel

Speaking of the truce in southern Syria, under the auspices of Russia and the United Nations, the commander said that the “de-escalation plan is better for us. We are working with more freedom, there are no more bombings.”
The commander said that the next war with Israel may start from Syria but “what really matters is where will it end, will it be in Netanya, Haifa or Kiryat Shmona?”

The influential Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., is warning parents of "brazen" indoctrination plans being pursued by teachers, even in elementary schools.
The latest instance, FRC explains, is in Florida, where a fifth-grade teacher sent home a note to parents mandating that students use only politically correct pronouns in class.
"One thing that you should know about me is that I use gender neutral terms. My prefix is Mx. (pronounced Mix). Additionally, my pronouns are ‘they, them, their' instead of ‘he, his, she, hers.'"
The Tallahassee Democrat newspaper reported math and science teacher Chloe Bressack gave the instructions to students and parents with the full support of Paul Lambert, the principal at Canopy Oaks.

Bacteria appear to be innovating faster than the global health community.

In a new report, the World Health Organization warned the world is running out of antibiotics: There are not enough truly new antibiotics being developed to keep up with the many antibiotic-resistant infections ravaging the human population.

"Antimicrobial resistance is a global health emergency that will seriously jeopardize progress in modern medicine," said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO's director-general, according to MarketWatch.

"There is an urgent need for more investment in research and development for antibiotic-resistant infections including TB, otherwise we will be forced back to a time when people feared common infections and risked their lives from minor surgery."

Antibiotic resistance happens when bacteria mutate and become immune to a certain antibiotic. The overuse or incorrect use of a drug can lead to pathogens becoming resistant to it.

Russia has reportedly rebuffed an Israeli demand to ensure that Iranian forces and Iran-backed Shiite militants not be allowed to operate within 60-80 kilometers of the Syrian frontier with Israel in the Golan Heights.

The demand was initially raised by Israel in July, when negotiations were under way for a ceasefire deal in southern Syria between President Bashar Assad and Syrian rebels, under the auspices of the Washington and Moscow.
Russian has rejected the plea, according to reports Thursday on Israel’s Channel 2 TV and in the Haaretz newspaper. Instead, it has committed only to keeping Iranian forces five kilometers from the Golan Heights frontier.
Israel had wanted a buffer zone of between 60 and 80 kilometers from the border on the Golan Heights, and has been repeatedly warning against Iran’s military ambitions in the area, Tehran’s bid to establish a territorial “corridor” all the way to the Mediterranean, and an increased Iranian presence on Israel’s northern border.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposed the ceasefire deal, putting him publicly at odds with US President Donald Trump, since it did not sufficiently address Israel’s security needs.

NASA Plan To Stop Supervolcano Sparks Doomsday Fears

Amid a summertime swarm of hundreds of earthquakes underneath Yellowstone National Park, NASA is developing a plan to tame a "supervolcano" that some experts believe is well overdue for a catastrophic eruption.
The scientists' plan: cool down the volcano.
Volcanoes erupt when a certain heat threshold is built up within the magma, meaning that if enough heat can be let out of the volcano, it will never erupt. NASA's idea is to pump water into the volcano after opening up a path via drilling. In theory, the plan would extract heat from the volcano and could even provide a new geothermal power plant.
There's only one problem: The process might trigger an eruption.
Brian Wilcox of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology told the BBC an attempt to drill from the top of the magma chamber could accidentally cause the very thing the drilling was designed to prevent. To avoid that risk, he suggested drilling from outside the borders of Yellowstone and coming into the supervolcano from the lower side.

British security services estimate that of the 850 Brits that left the country to fight for ISIS in Iraq and Syria, 400 have returned. Yet, none of them to date have been charged with war crimes.
The Council of Europe's legal affairs committee recently ruled that merely joining ISIS is enough for prosecution at The Hague's International Criminal Court (ICC). Still, no prosecutions, not even any reported arrests.
Even though while these jihadis were in the Middle East, they were outside the jurisdiction of the ICC, once they returned, they could legally be deported to The Hague.
"This cannot possibly be justice. The government must look again at throwing the full weight of international law at those who took part in crimes against humanity," said Labour MP Liam Byrne, expressing the sentiments of many.

In the world of high technology and Internet media, government censors are far from the only threat to free speech. The search giant Google has become the de facto gatekeeper of truth and information in the digital age when having a website matters little if it is demoted to page eleven (or four hundred fifty-three) on web surfers' searches.
Or if the largest online ad company decides to freeze a conservative site's account and pull their primary revenue stream unless the site changes its political views.
Two recent controversies are again shining light on the consequences of Google's near-monopoly position in both Internet search and online advertisement.
The first is the systematic way in which conservative websites are downgraded in search results so that even extremely popular sites with thousands of link-backs and millions of views can be hidden deep in the list of search results.
The second is the increasingly common threat to pull ad money when a conservative site, far from inciting violence or even broadcasting "hate speech", simply enters the sphere of public debate.
An investigation by Leo Goldstein has presented evidence to support the case that Google has internally manipulated its algorithm to push conservative sites away from search users. The analysis, takes as its primary focus the biased treatment of conservative sites discussing climate change.

A little-reported stabbing incident, coupled with a large dose of Palestinian Authority-generated fake news, have revealed pretty much everything you need to know about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
It all began Aug. 18. Qatiba Zahran, age 17, left his hometown of Alar, near the city of Tulkarm, armed with a large knife. He was looking for an Israeli Jew to stab.
He couldn't find any Israelis in Alar, or in Tulkarm, because they have been under the control of the Palestinian Authority since 1995. That was when then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin withdrew Israel's forces from the areas where 98 percent of the Palestinian Arabs reside.
Note that Qatiba Zaharn was born in 2000. Meaning that he has lived under the rule of Palestinian Authority his entire life. He has not lived under direct "Israeli occupation." There are no "Israeli settlers" endangering the residents of Alar or Tulkarm.

The repayment demand, championed by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, was described as an underhanded attempt by the State Department to derail a campaign pledge by U.S. President Donald J. Trump to improve relations with the Jewish state.
The dispute is the just the latest example of what appears to be a growing power struggle between the State Department and the White House over the future direction of American foreign policy.
The controversy goes back to the Obama administration's September 2016 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Israel, which pledged $38 billion in military assistance to Jerusalem over the next decade. The MOU expressly prohibits Israel from requesting additional financial aid from Congress.
Congressional leaders, who said the MOU violates the constitutional right of lawmakers to allocate U.S. aid, awarded Israel an additional $75 million in assistance in the final appropriations bill for fiscal year 2017.
Tillerson had argued that Israel should return the $75 million in order to stay within the limits established by the Obama administration. The effort provoked a strong reaction from Congress, which apparently prompted Tillerson to back down.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) "strongly warned the State Department that such action would be unwise and invite unwanted conflict with Israel," according to the Washington Free Beacon.
Speaking to the Washington Examiner, Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) added:
"As Iran works to surround Israel on every border, and Hezbollah and Hamas rearm, we must work to strengthen our alliance with Israel, not strain it. Congress has the right to allocate money as it deems necessary, and security assistance to Israel is a top priority. Congress is ready to ensure Israel receives the assistance it needs to defend its citizens."

Death Spiral For The Anglican Church As Massive Numbers Leave The Church

The Church of England's membership is now declining so swiftly and steadily that it can hardly be considered anything less than a death spiral as millions drop out of the ranks of the faithful.
Instead of relying solely on the official figures provided by the Church, which still claims to have over 85 million members, many are now taking a closer look at the British Social Attitudes Survey, conducted every year since 1983.
In 2016, the survey was given to 2,942 adults between July and October and respondents replied, not with an official church affiliation that may be found on a certificate or registry, but instead they described their actual beliefs, religious identities and behavior.
The results could hardly be worse for the Church of England and Christianity in general.
Across all age groups, a total of 15% of British claim Anglican Christianity as their religion, down from 30% in the year 2000. But even more striking is the gap between the age cohorts. Only a scant 3% of the young adult population between the ages of 18 and 24 identifies as Anglican, as compared to as many as 40% of those over the age of 75.
The implication is that the congregations will soon be dying from advanced age and there will be few from the next generation to replace them in the pews.
Catholicism has remained little changed over the past 30 years with roughly 10% of the population but in the 18-24 age group, a mere 5% identify as Catholic. And for both Anglicans and Catholics, the matter of identity is no longer a binary question as great numbers of increasingly liberal Christians find themselves at odds with official Church positions on issues such as same sex marriage and abortion.

Israel's security elite fears a military alliance between Hezbollah and Hamas and backed by Iran could lead to a new conflict in the Middle East.
Nadav Argaman, who is head of Israeli intelligence service Shin Bet, has warned that Hamas—which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007 and fought three wars with Israel in the last decade—is now building influence in Lebanon, where top Hamas operative, Saleh al-Arouri, is in hiding following his expulsion from Qatar in June.
He said that Iran remains "the largest backer financially and militarily" of Hamas's armed wing—known as the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades—and that with the help of Tehran, the group was now preparing to battle for "the liberation of Palestine," Times of Israel reported.
Hamas, like the majority of Palestinians, is a Sunni group and Hezbollah Shiite, but shared opposition to Israel has long unified the two militant groups and won them funding from Iran. When Qatar expelled five members of Hamas' military wing in 2017, Israeli media reported that the militants made their way to Beirut. Later that month, Palestinian media reported that Hamas' security bureau deputy chairman, Musa Abu Marzouk, met with Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The Invisible Christians Of North Korea: Surviving By God’s Grace Alone

If you think North Korea's dictators are bad for the world, just imagine what it's like to be a Christian there.
Anyone who knows anything about world missions and the global church knows about the Christians of South Korea.
According to the Operation World prayer guide, "From the first Protestant church planted in 1884, South Korea now has possibly 50,000 Protestant congregations," and 15 million Christians of all kinds.
It's also a missionary powerhouse, currently sending more than 21,000 missionaries to about 175 countries. Amazing!
But the Christians of North Korea? They're virtually invisible--though of course not in the eyes of the Lord Jesus! Operation World says that although no one really knows their true number, there could be as many as 350,000 underground Christians living in the slave state of 24 million people.
When you consider that the government there--whether run by the Japanese occupiers during World War II, or the current cult-like, totalitarian leadership--has been trying to stamp out all vestiges of Christianity for about 70 years, that's also amazing.
Tragically, and infuriatingly, up to 100,000 of these brothers and sisters in Christ are locked up in harsh prisons or work camps.
Where did they all come from, and how do they survive? Well, in answer to the first part, it's a fascinating story. Did you know that from the late 19th century until 1942, Pyongyang, North Korea's Orwellian capital city today, was known as the "Jerusalem of the East"?
