Psalms 5:12

KJV(i)12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

CLV(i)12 For You shall bless the righteous one, O Yahweh; Like a large shield, You shall encircle him with benevolence. {Permanent, With Accompaniments on the Octave{ "

These are my thoughts.

The Lord is our protection.

Psalms 5:11

KJV(i)11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

CLV(i)11 But all those taking refuge in You shall rejoice; They shall be jubilant for the eon. You shall overshadow them, And those loving Your Name shall be glad in You.

These are my thoughts.
We know and trust the Lord we have something to shout praise for.

Ps 5:2-12 weekly devotion Empty Ps 5:10

Psalms 5:10

KJV(i)10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

CLV(i)10 Convict them of guilt, O Elohim; Let them fall by their own counsels, And in the multitude of their transgressions, expel them, For they have rebelled against You.

These are my thoughts.

Some will not know their guilty until they face judgement, they should come to Christ.

Ps 5:2-12 weekly devotion Empty Ps 5:9

Post  clark thompson Sat 01 Mar 2014, 12:11 pm

Psalms 5:9

KJV(i)9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

CLV(i)9 For there is nothing established in their mouth; Within them are woes; A sepulcher opened is their throat; With their tongue they deal slickly.

 My thoughts.
Those without faith will live in a way that shows they don't follow Him, they bring praise to themselves instead of Him.

Psalms 5:8

KJV(i)8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

CLV(i)8 O Yahweh, guide me in Your righteousness on account of those who lie in wait for me. Straighten Your way before me.

My thoughts.
We should follow after the Lord and let Him lead us in his righteous ways.

Psalms 5:7

KJV(i)7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

CLV(i)7 As for me, in the vastness of Your benignity I shall enter Your House; I shall worship toward Your holy Temple in devout fear of You.

CLV(i)6 You shall destroy all those speaking a lie. Yahweh abhors a man of bloodshed and deceit.

The Lord is just and will punissh all those who stand guilty but by Christ's blood our sins are covered.

Psalms 5:5

KJV(i) 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

CLV(i) 5 No boasters may set themselves up in front of Your eyes; You hate all contrivers of lawlessness;

My thoughts.
We should not help those who choose sin by aiding them to sin.

Ps 5:2-12 weekly devotion Empty Ps 5:3

Post  clark thompson Tue 31 Dec 2013, 2:43 am

Psalms 5:3

KJV(i)3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

CLV(i)3 In the morning You shall hear my voice; In the morning I shall arrange for You and watch.

My thoughts.
Prayer is important don't wait to pray because doing so may let things prevent you from praying, praying first thing does not allow things to get in the way to stop us from praying.
