A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Living a CHRIST-like life is favorable in the world-to-come, but threatening to this world; yet, worth it all!

DAWNING OF THE DAY
"As the day was dawning, the woman came back and fell at the door of the man's house where her master was, as it was growing light. When her master arose in the morning, he opened the doors of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, he saw there was his concubine having fallen at the doorway of the house with her hands on the threshold." [Judges (Shofetim) 19. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

This horrendously appalling story took place in Israel in a time when "everyone did what was right (just as they pleased/as was convenient) in his own eyes." [Judges (Shofetim) 21. 25 Tanakh, Nevi’im]The woman was a concubine to a Levite, was from the tribe of Judah and together they were dwelling among the tribe of Ephraim. Although she had been unfaithful, he had taken her back and they were traveling to Ephraim, staying overnight in a city of Benjamin. The "sons of Belial" [beliya`al means: evil, ungodly, wicked, without profit, destruction, worthlessness] among the Benjamites, however, had abused the woman throughout the night, leaving her dead "as the day was dawning."

This whole repulsive, abhorrent true-life account illustrates the depths of depravity to which even men among GOD’S chosen people can descend under the cover of darkness. Just as is being done today, only more so as being corrupt has become legalized and socially demanded. However, the Apostle Paul warned us in two of his different writings commanding us to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret." [Ephesians 5. 11 - 12] And, "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has CHRIST with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the Temple of GOD with idols?" [1 Corinthians 6. 14 - 16]

Yet, in the midst of the dismal record of the Levite and his concubine, there is an interesting insight which should be noted. The evil event of the night terminated at "the dawning of the day." Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word used is "panah" which actually translates "turning" not dawning (Hebrew: boqer – crack of dawn, dawning, first light, break of day, morning) — therefore, this is not referring to the rising of the sun, but to the rotation of the earth which, after a dark night of evil, once again turns its face to the light of the world.

In the book of Job there is another mention of the earth’s surface, "Since your days began, have you ever commanded the day to break, assigned the dawn to know its place, so that it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and shakes the wicked from her? She (the earth) takes shape like clay under a seal, till they [its hues] stand out like a garment." [Job (Iyob) 38. 12 - 14 Tanakh, Torah] Here again suggesting the earth’s axial rotation each day/night succession.

The GREAT & MIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS has an appointed time when all evil will be purged from the earth. "But who can endure the Day of HIS coming? And who can stand when HE appears? For HE is like fire of one refining or like soap of launderers. HE will sit as one refining and purifying silver; HE will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them like the gold and like the silver. Then they will be an offering to YEHOWAH an offering in righteousness." [Malachi (Malakhi) 3. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im] Then mankind "will no longer follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts." [Jeremian (Yirmeyah) 3. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

There is coming a magnificent dawning, and that very soon, when we shall dwell in the GLORIOUS PRESENCE of the SOVEREIGN ONE and "there shall be no night there" [Revelation 21. 25] because YESHUA is the TRUE & ETERNAL LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Come quickly, LORD, Come!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Simcha Shel Mitzvah — joy in doing good! The good performed out of a sense of requirement is not as meaningful as one performed out of desire and with enjoyment.
Oh that men were wise, that they would consider their latter end; that peace abundant would descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel ! Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The difference between "impossible" and "possible" is the measure of man’s will.

MOURNINGS, SLAVES, SOULS
"And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men." [Revelation 18. 11 - 13]

This day of mourning will follow the destruction of Babylon the Great, a mighty commercial and political center which "she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the LORD GOD WHO judges her" because "her sins have reached to heaven, and GOD has remembered her iniquities." [Revelation 18. 8, 5]

What were and are those sins? Is Babylon the Great a literal city, the capital city of the empire of the Beast in the last days? Or is it a metaphor, a figure of speech, depicting the wickedness of all such cities throughout the ages? Or both, perhaps!

It is true, whatever be the definite answer as this Babylon harbors many forms of wickedness that the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD hates — fornication, unclean, covetous, idolaters, sorceries, those who shed blood, deceivers, liars, etc. But the chief characteristics of its wickedness is its devotion to commercialism above all else. . . "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury and delicacies." [Revelation 18. 3] Because of your many luxury goods, merchants gave you silver, iron, copper, and lead for your wares. . . your traders bartered human lives and copper utensils for your possessions. [see Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 27. 12 - 13]

Be especially aware of the burden of the mournful cry of the merchants of the earth "for no one buys their merchandise anymore" [Revelation 18. 11], and they are obfuscated (confused, darkened, perplexed, mystified) because they had once been "made rich by her" but suddenly it was all gone. [Revelation 18. 14 - 15]

Not only the merchandise of "gold and silver" was gone, but also "bodies and souls of men." [Revelation 18. 13] In the last days when this terrifyingly awful judgment falls, these merchants will still be trafficking in "slaves, and the souls of men."

How very sad, involuntary slavery was really never abolished, mankind — from babies to adults in nearly every country is being exploited, all for money and power. It is especially thriving and unbeaten in many Muslim and other non-CHRISTian strongholds. But, praise GOD, this will end soon when the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA returns and then all HIS redeemed followers will gladly serve HIM forevermore. [Revelation 22. 3] "HE WHO testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS! The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you all. Amen" [Revelation 22. 20 - 21]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Sabbath — We thank YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for YOUR mercies and grace. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
Our prayer is that you know the ONE WHO gives perfect peace! May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. Also, that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others. Walk joyously and boldly in the light and warmth of ALMIGHTY GOD'S compelling love; and may the HOLY ONE, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, fill you with HIS wonderful peace and indescribable happiness.
May GOD bless you with eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that knows faith that is sure of what is hoped for and certain of what is not seen. [see Hebrews 11:1] MESSIAH YESHUA is the AUTHENTIC FIRST GIFT, WHO gave of HIMSELF deliberately! By dying and victoriously resurrecting, the HOLY ONE OF GOD came into this world to save it, to reach the lost, heal the sick, befriend those without a friend in the world, and be our PERFECT EXAMPLE that we might follow HIM.
Have a blessed week, rejoice and be glad for each day!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Reality can never be legislated out of existence. Segregation is a reality and one must be able to distinguish between reality and illusionary conditioned existence that is called "education."

THIS LAND IS MINE
"The land must not be sold beyond reclaim, for the LAND IS MINE; you are but strangers resident with ME." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 25. 23 Tanakh, Torah] "Nevermore shall you be called "Azubah (forsaken)" nor shall your land be called "Shemamah (desolate)"; but you shall be called "Hephzibah (I delight in her...referring to Jerusalem)", and your LAND "Beulah (married — espoused)"; for the LORD takes delight in you, and your LAND shall be espoused." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 62. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Many may claim that the Church is the Bride of CHRIST. However, HOLY SCRIPTURE (both OLD & NEW COVENANTS) says that the EVERLASTING KING OF GLORY is espoused to the LAND. From the book of Genesis/Bereshith in the OLD COVENANT to Revelation in the NEW, the HOLY ONE declares that HE desires to "be our GOD."

In both the OLD & NEW COVENANTS, believers in the GOD OF ABRAHAM are called "HIS body, HIS people, HIS servants, HIS friends, called ones, over-comers, and HIS sheep" — but never HIS bride. "Obey MY VOICE, and I will be your GOD, and you shall be MY people." [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 7. 23 — also Exodus/Shemot 6. 7; Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 12; 1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 15. 30; Isaiah/Yeshayah 40. 1; 62. 5; Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 36. 28; Joel/Yoel 2. 27; Hosea 1. 9 ...just to mention a few.]

In the OLD COVENANT, Hosea is a living example of a prophet and his wife — showing the relationship of the LIVING GOD'S views between HIMSELF and HIS people.

In the NEW COVENANT, the LORD JESUS said — "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?" [Matthew 9. 14 - 15; Mark 2. 18 - 20; Luke 5. 33 - 35] "HE WHO has the bride is the bridegroom; but the FRIEND of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of MINE is fulfilled." [John 3. 29]

At a Jewish wedding, the guests not only receive wedding garments [see Judges/Shofetim 14. 12 — Samson posed a riddle during the wedding feast…], but are also the ones who are registered in a book. "They shall walk with ME in white, for they are worthy. The over-comers will be clothed in white garments and their names will not be blotted out of the BOOK OF LIFE." [Revelation 3. 4 - 5, 18] "Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame." [Revelation 16. 15] The Friends, not the Bride, are the ones "invited" — those whose names are written in "LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE."

The proper wedding garments must be on the Guests. "For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, HE has invited HIS guests to purify themselves...And, on the Day of the LORD'S Sacrifice I will punish the officials and the king's sons, and all who don a foreign vestment." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 1. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The HOLY SPIRIT sent out the invitations to the guests for the wedding. But, they made light of it becoming unworthy. Then the servants went to the highways to gather whoever they could to fill the wedding hall with guests. [Matthew 22. 1 - 14]

In the parable of the Ten Virgins [Matthew 25. 1 - 13], the virgins were invited guests. Five of them were not ready to attend the wedding, having no oil (commitment, loyalty, promise, faithfulness). Those who were committed, went with the BRIDEGROOM to the wedding; not as the Bride but, as "invited guests."

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA said, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are MY friends if you do whatever I command you." [John 15, 13 - 14] However, the LORD JESUS OF NAZARETH died for us while we were HIS enemies.

Then who is the Bride? "She" is wonderfully described in the Book of Revelation where an angel said, "Come! I will show you the LAMB'S BRIDE, the LAMB'S WIFE...and showed me the Great City , the Holy Jerusalem , descending out of heaven from GOD." [Revelation 21. 9 - 27] "And the SPIRIT and the BRIDE say, "COME!!" ...whoever desires come! — let him take the Water of Life freely." [Revelation 22. 17]

We should be content to be HIS people, and greatly rejoice that HE is our GOD. How glorious! How marvelous…belonging to HIM, the KING OF ALL AGES!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath – Queen of the week! We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest and the Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen May you experience the care, love, and presence of GOD MOST HOLY this day and always. May the ALMIGHTY ONE bless each of us with good health, happiness and success and to continue seeing the good in this world.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The beginning of pride is when one departs from CREATOR GOD, and his heart is turned away from his MAKER.

SINS OF THE NATION
"We have offended YOU by not keeping the commandments, the Laws, nor the rules that YOU gave to YOUR servant Moses." [Nehemiah (Nechemah) 1. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Nehemiah had a great burden for his nation, Israel , and although he himself had not been guilty of their sins, he willingly confess their sins as his own, if ALMIGHTY GOD would only restore them to the Promised Land.

The same heart was found in Ezra — "O my GOD, I am ashamed and mortified to lift my face to YOU, O my GOD, for our iniquities are overwhelmingly over our head and our guilt has grown high as heaven." [Ezra 9. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Daniel also prayed for his Jewish people in fasting, in sackcloth, and ashes identifying himself with their sins. "We have sinned; we have gone astray; we have acted wickedly; we have been rebellious and have deviated from YOUR commandments and YOUR rules. O LORD hear! O LORD, forgive! O LORD listen, and act without delay for YOUR OWN sake, O my GOD; for YOUR NAME is attached to YOUR City and YOUR people." [Daniel (Danyel) 9. 5, 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Our LOVING OMNIPOTENT GOD heard their prayers and promised long ago, "When MY people, who bear MY NAME, humble themselves, pray, and seek MY favour and turn from their evil ways, I will hear in MY heavenly abode and forgive their sins and heal their land." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 7. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Today, all the lands of every nation are in need of healing. The GREAT GOD ETERNAL desires HIS people to confess as their own, the sins of their people, as we are partly responsible because of our past indifference, merely criticizing instead of praying. Then perhaps the HOLY ONE will hear as HE heard the prayers of Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah.

The Apostle Paul felt the same burden in his day, "For I could wish that I myself were accursed from CHRIST for my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh." [Romans 9. 3] Others identified themselves with the sin of their people along with Ezra and Paul. But, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH went far beyond even that, HE not only identified HIMSELF with us in our lost sinful state, but also "bore our sins in HIS OWN BODY on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness." [1 Peter 2. 24] We can never thank HIM enough for all the great goodness YESHUA the BELOVED ONE has shown to us!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May we live as willingly for YESHUA, the REDEEMER as HE was willing to joyfully laying down HIS life for us! May peace abound in your life as you grow in HIS wisdom and favor.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It is pointless to argue with those who happily pervert reality in the service of their profoundly held prejudices.

SAVIOR, CREATOR, WORD
"In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD. HE was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made." [John 1. 1 - 3]

In the first chapter of John’s gospel, there are many names and titles associated with the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, this is amazingly extraordinary. YESHUA is called "the TRUE LIGHT, which lightens every man that comes into the world." [v. 9] HE is "the ONLY-BEGOTTEN of the FATHER, full of grace and truth" and "the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, which is n the bosom of the FATHER." [v. 18] John the Baptizer called HIM "the LORD" [v. 23], "the LAMB OF GOD, which takes away the sin of the world" [v. 29], and "the SON OF GOD." [v. 34] HIS disciples then called HIM "MASTER" [v. 38], and "MESSIAH" [v. 41], as well as "JESUS of Nazareth." [v. 45] Nathanael accredited HIM as being the "KING of Israel" [v. 49], and YESHUA called HIMSELF "the SON OF MAN." [v. 51]

The first title John ascribed to the LORD YESHUA was plainly "the WORD" — from a word hard to interpret in its complete richness; at best meaning "reason, communication, doctrine, speech" and so much more. With reference to MESSIAH, it tells us that HE is always the ONE WHO reveals, speaks for, manifests, explains, and incarnates the HEAVENLY FATHER. "HIS NAME is called THE WORD OF GOD." [Revelation 19. 13]

John takes us back before Genesis/Bereshith 1:1 where we learn that the pre-incarnate CHRIST created all things. "For by HIM all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through HIM and for HIM." [Colossians 1. 16] "In the beginning" HE was, before HE created! And all things were made by HIM. "The WORD OF THE LORD...stretches out the heavens, laid firm the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made, all the host of them by the breath of HIS mouth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"I praise YOUR NAME for YOUR steadfast love and faithfulness; YOU have magnified YOUR WORD above YOUR NAME." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the TRUE GOD and ETERNAL LIFE. As the ETERNAL, OMNIPOTENT WORD OF GOD, the pre-incarnate SON OF MAN spoke all things into being, the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH is the WORD and the WORD is GOD!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Be my support when grief silences my voice, and my comfort when woe bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trial and temptation and to be patient and forgiving when others wrong me. Guide me by the Light of YOUR counsel, that I may ever find strength in YOU, my ROCK and my REDEEMER, my GLORY and the LIFTER of my head. Praise and all thanks to YOU! Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 3 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One is free — not when he can do what he wishes to do — but when he wishes to do and can do what he should do.

TRUTH, THE EVIDENCE
"If anyone wants to do HIS will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from GOD or whether I speak on MY OWN authority. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but HE WHO seeks the glory of the ONE WHO sent HIM is true, and no unrighteousness is in HIM." [John 7. 17 - 19]

When the LORD JESUS spoke these words, HE was speaking to arrogant religionists who regarded HIM as nothing but a wandering TEACHER, rejecting HIS TEACHINGS, even though they knew these precepts were recorded facts. MESSIAH YESHUA'S rebuke of these hypocrites is a timeless standard for recognizing GOD'S truth and knowing HIS desire. In his last epistle, the Apostle Paul wrote about certain academic philosophers and academic thinkers who would be "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." Then, Paul continues to make it perfectly clear as to why such corrupt persons, though educated, are still incapable of accepting real truth, they simply "resist the truth...but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all." [2 Timothy 3. 7 - 9]

It is not that they could not learn the truth, but they would not because they are not willing to believe or obey the truth when they learned it. They are basically unwilling to believe doctrine plainly revealed in the LORD GOD'S WRITTEN PURE WORD OF TRUTH when it is in conflict with doctrines based exclusively on human reasoning.

For this reason, YESHUA, the FAITHFUL SHEPHERD prayed, "I thank YOU, FATHER, LORD OF HEAVEN & EARTH, that YOU have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, FATHER, for so it seemed good in YOUR sight." [Matthew 11. 25 - 26]

GOD'S will is always consistent with HIS TEACHING, which is written to be easily understood by anyone who is willing to believe what HE said and do it. Hide HIS TREASURED PROMISES in your heart, it is the most commendable thing you can do for yourself. "YOUR WORD I have hidden in my heart, that I do not sin against YOU!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Be diligent (study attentively) to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH. But shun (avoid, keep away from) profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness." [2 Timothy 2. 15 - 16] May we live to keep GOD'S WORD and the wisdom of HIS TEACHINGS.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
There is a place for believers in the midst of a pagan society — a challenging position of change and conflict overwhelmed with problems and full of difficulties. For the fainthearted, this is threatening; for the audacious, courageous and noble-minded — exciting. Try a little exhilarating excitement as you observe and remember the wonders of the BELOVED CREATOR! Blessed be our GREAT GOD in WHOSE dwelling is joy and through WHOSE goodness we live.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The older you are the more like yourself you become.

KEEPING CLEAN
"When they enter the Tent of Meeting they shall wash with water, that they may not die; or when they approach the altar to serve, to turn into smoke an offering by fire to the LORD, they shall wash their hands and feet, that they may not die. It shall be a Law for all time for them — for him and his offspring — throughout the ages." [Exodus (Shemot) 30. 20 - 21 Tanakh, Torah]

The hands and feet represent the "work" and "walk" of the priests. Their work and walk must be clean when they enter the service of HOLY GOD or they would die. Even though the Priests had met with the MIGHTY CREATOR at the Altar of Sacrifice and had been cleansed of their sins; yet ever afterward, there was daily defilement that must be washed away.

Even after we have been cleansed of our sins on acceptance of the LORD JESUS as our BLESSED SAVIOR, we must keep on being cleansed by the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD daily in order that we may walk with our HOLY GOD and have fellowship with HIM. YESHUA said, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean." [John 13. 10] MESSIAH YESHUA, the MIGHTY ROCK of our salvation fulfilled the service of the priest; not in washing HIS OWN feet, but in washing the feet of others. [John 13. 14]

In our LORD'S time, people returning from the public baths found it necessary to wash their feet which had become soiled from walking through miry streets. So the CHRIST-like-one has been cleansed once for all. But in walking through the world, he often contracts defilement, and therefore needs daily cleansing. Though once clean, unless he keeps himself cleansed, can again become dirty.

In the old country there is a special sidewalk for the Jews to walk on who were coming home from the Temple . So the priests of GOD MOST HIGH are to walk in a special way after they are washed for the LORD will not have fellowship with uncleanness. It is necessary that believer-priests bathe in the LIFE-CLEANSING WORD every day. "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water." [Hebrews 10. 22]

Aaron's sons died, not only because they offered strange fire in the Holy Place, but also they neglected to wash at the Laver before their entrance and service there. They failed to regard the SOVEREIGN ALMIGHTY GOD as "holy" and also failed to glorify HIM before all the people.

We criticize those who never avail themselves of the opportunity to wash their physical bodies, and consider them offensive to our sight and smell. But what a stench in the very nostrils of the AWESOME GOD are HIS children who never give themselves a spiritual bath at the Laver! GOD OMNIPOTENT has provided a beauty bath for HIS royal priests and it is expected that they wash in the WORD OF GOD before they perform any service to HIM. The PURE WORD OF GOD is here for us that we might be able to be cleansed thereby. "If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." [1 John 1. 9]

The OLD COVENANT priest was required to wash each time before he could perform a service. This was "a statute forever." And the NEW COVENANT priests continually apply the WATER OF THE WORD, which is required for a state of continual holiness, a continual communion with GOD OF MERCY. [Philippians 3. 12 - 14; 1 Corinthians 9. 24 - 27; 1 Timothy 6. 17 - 19]

Revelation 15:2 records the last mention of the Laver in the HOLY WRIT; it is in Heaven described as "a Sea of Glass." The Redeemed of the LORD Stand on the Sea and sing of the LAMB. In Heaven, the Altar of Sacrifice and the Laver never are forgotten. The ALTAR bears witness that "without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." The LAVER testifies that "without holiness, no man shall see the LORD." We shall behold HIM, our SAVIOR, LORD & KING, face to face. What a day that will be!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We give thanks to YOU for YOU are the LORD our GOD and the GOD of our fathers; YOU are the ROCK of our lives, the SHIELD of our salvation through every generation. We give YOU praise for our lives which are committed into YOUR hands, and for our souls which are in YOUR charge, and for YOUR miracles, which are daily; for YOUR wonders and YOUR benefits, which are wrought at all times, evening, morning, and noon. O YOU WHO are all-good, whose mercies fail not; YOU, MERCIFUL ONE, whose loving-kindnesses never cease, we have ever hoped in YOU. For all these things YOUR NAME, O our KING we continually bless and exalt for ever and ever.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One cannot despair when they know GOD'S loving mercy!

LIFE IN THE SCRIPTURES
"The LAW of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure (certain), making the simple wise. The STATUTES of the LORD are just, rejoicing the heart. The INSTRUCTION of the LORD is perfect and pure, making the eyes light up. The FEAR of the LORD is trustworthy, abiding forever; the JUDGMENTS of the LORD are true, righteous altogether, more desirable than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter than honey, than drippings of the comb." [Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 7 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

What a great tragedy that so little time is spent in the wonderful WORD OF THE LORD by most who call themselves "CHRISTians or Christ-like-ones." It is such a necessary food for health and joy in our spiritual lives, as well as the physical. "The sincere milk of the WORD" is for newborn babes [1 Peter 2. 2]; and it is the "strong meat" for those who are "skillful in the WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS." [Hebrews 5. 12 – 13] "How pleasing is YOUR WORD to my palate, sweeter than honey" [Psalms/Tehillym 119. 103] and "man may live on anything that the LORD decrees." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 3 Tanakh, Torah] The ETERNALLY RIGHTEOUS LORD is not only the "GIVER OF LIFE'S BREAD" — HE is "THE BREAD." For every LIFE-GIVING WORD that proceeds out of HIS mouth is the EXTRAORDINARY BREAD by which man lives.

The HOLY SCRIPTURES are the basis for salvation [2 Timothy 3. 15; 1 Peter 1. 23], but also for sanctification and day-to-day cleansing. "That HE (MESSIAH) might sanctify and cleanse her (the Church) with the washing of water by the WORD." [Ephesians 5. 26]

For those who will use their directions, the HOLY SCRIPTURES also provide daily guidance. "YOUR WORD is a LAMP to my feet, a LIGHT for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Every blood-bought saint must be a seed-sowing witness for the LORD YESHUA, and "the SEED is the WORD OF GOD." [Luke 8. 11] The only offensive weapon in the CHRISTian's armor is "the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD" [Ephesians 6. 17], and this assures a victorious life and testimony for the one who uses it.

"The works of the LORD are great, within reach of all who desire them" [Psalms/Tehillym 111. 2] — is the wonderful testimony of King David in the OLD COVENANT. This is comparable to the great declaration of the Apostle Paul in the NEW COVENANT: "The HOLY SCRIPTURES are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in the LORD JESUS CHRIST." [2 Timothy 3. 15] "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3. 16]

Something better than salvation, is to have fellowship with the ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY LORD GOD WHO saved us. And, fellowship with GOD is equal with HIS mercy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May yours be the sweetest of days as you praise and worship our WONDROUS SAVIOR. Let the precious name of the LORD be blessed from this time forth and for evermore.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.

GOD'S SON
"WHO has ascended heaven or come down? WHO has gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand? WHO has wrapped the waters in HIS garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the earth? What is HIS NAME, and what is HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We know the answer to this first question, it is ALMIGHTY GOD, MASTER CREATOR of everything. But "WHO" has ascended up into heaven or descended from there? In these verses, HE is called GOD'S SON! There is only ONE WHO came down to this earth from heaven and WHO has ascended back into heaven! This was foretold by the ETERNAL LORD GOD through HIS prophets as coming again. As is written the SON OF GOD is the ONE WHO will be returning from heaven.

"As I looked on in the night vision, ONE like the SON OF MAN came with the clouds of heaven!...and to HIM was presented dominion, glory and kingship; that all peoples, and nations of every language must serve HIM. HIS dominion is an EVERLASTING DOMINION that shall not pass away, and HIS Kingdom, one that shall not be destroyed." [Daniel (Danyel) 7. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

YESHUA, the MESSIAH-KING is called "THE SON OF MAN." HE had been on earth as a part of humanity, yet here HE is in heaven and returning to earth to receive an Everlasting Kingdom !

Two thousand years ago there was an announcement by the angel to the shepherds keeping watch over their flock at night. The great and wonderful day had arrived for fulfillment of THE INCARNATION as the HOLY ONE of old had foretold through HIS prophets: "For there is born to you this day in the City of David a SAVIOR, WHO is CHRIST THE LORD." [Luke 2. 11]

The angel was declaring that this CHILD WHO was born in Bethlehem , the City of David , is the PROMISED SON OF GOD, THE SON OF MAN, IMMANU'EL, GOD-with-us, the ALMIGHTY GOD manifest in the flesh! This CHILD was born as a human being, yet HE is called "THE MESSIAH YEHOWAH" by the angel who announced HIS birth to the shepherds. OMNIPOTENT CREATOR GOD came to earth and was manifested in flesh to dwell among HIS people, Israel , just as HE had promised!

The HOLY ONE, GOD HIMSELF, blessed be HE, declared it and we are saved if we believe it!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath! For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honor and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GREAT GOD! When the invisible hand of our MAGNIFICENTLY WONDERFUL OMNIPOTENT GOD guides our lives and we are more then blessed, as we live each moment for HIS glory and praise. Be enveloped in HIS riches this Sabbath in peace and harmony as you glorify and praise our MIGHTY KING.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.Web Page: www.delrifkah.com

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Let us remember to not only pray for the peace of Jerusalem , but model that peace in our own lives.

ISRAEL FORGIVEN & DEFENDED
"For I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for war: The City shall be captured, the houses plundered, and the women violated; and part of the city shall go into exile. But the rest of the population shall not be uprooted from the City (Jerusalem ). On that day, HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) will set HIS feet on the Mount of Olives, near Jerusalem on the East; and the Mount of Olives shall split across from east to west, and one part of the Mount shall shift to the north and the other to the south, a huge gorge...And the LORD my GOD, with all the holy beings, will come to you (Jerusalem). And the LORD shall be KING over all the earth; in that day there shall be one LORD with ONE NAME; the LORD alone shall be worshipped (and shall be invoked by HIS TRUE NAME)." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 2, 4, 5-b, 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"In that day I will all but annihilate all the nations that came up against Jerusalem . But I will fill the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem with a SPIRIT of pity and compassion; and they will look on ME WHOM they have pierced; they shall lament BECAUSE [see Revelation 1. 7] of ME about those who are slain, wailing over them as over a favorite son and showing bitter grief as over a first-born. In that day, the wailing in Jerusalem shall be as great as the wailing at Hadad-Rimmon in the plain of Megiddon." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 9 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"In that day a fountain shall be opened to the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for purging and cleansing. And when one asked — What are those sores and wounds on YOUR back? — HE will reply — From being beaten in the house of MY friends." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 13. 1, 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the nations of the world center their attack on the Jews at Jerusalem , the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS will return to earth to defend Israel against her enemies for the last time, "Like birds flying about, so will the LORD OF HOSTS defend Jerusalem . Defending, HE will also deliver it; Passing Over, HE will preserve it." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 31. 5 NKJV] "Like the birds that fly, even so will the LORD OF HOSTS shield Jerusalem , shielding and saving, protecting and rescuing." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 31. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This will be literally fulfilled when the TRUE VINE returns as KING of kings and LORD of lords with the armies of heaven as described in Revelation. [see Revelation 19. 11 - 16]

The LONG-AWAITED LORD YESHUA will reveal HIMSELF to these Jews who had been blinded as to HIS MESSIAH-SHIP. The REDEEMER will identify HIMSELF as the "LORD OF GLORY" through the marks of the wounds in HIS hands and HIS feet. JESUS, the CHRIST OF CALVARY will forgive those who repent of their sin; HE will judge the nations who mistreated Israel; HE will establish HIS Kingdom on the earth with all HIS saints (Jew & Gentile from every tribe, tongue and nation), to rule and reign forever! Even so, come quickly, my LORD & KING!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We have a MIGHTY AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the Throne ruling over the affairs of men. HE is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult times.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The LORD GOD has not cast aside even one life. HE sent the LORD JESUS as HIS WAY for each of us to return to HIM . But we cannot follow GOD and divide HIS Family, for when evil comes, we must stand...together! Be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient with each other. Forgive as the LORD forgave you. And above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all to HIM in perfect harmony.

DECEITFULNESS & BETRAYALS
"Beware, every man of his neighbor! Trust not even a brother; for every brother takes advantage, every neighbor goes around tale bearing, deceiving his neighbor, they will not speak the truth; they have trained their tongues to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity. You dwell in the midst of deceit. In deceit they refuse to heed ME" — declares the YEHOWAH. Assuredly, thus says the LORD OF HOSTS: "Behold, I will refine them and test them." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 4 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There are many descriptive accounts of deceit and betrayal in the SCRIPTURES, both OLD and NEW. In the Law we are commanded: "In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor. You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people; nor profit by the blood of your fellow: I am YEHOWAH." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 19. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Torah] Against such a warning, it was wicked Queen Jezebel, Ahab’s wife who had Naboth killed for his vineyard by hiring two scoundrels to witness against him saying that "Naboth has blasphemed GOD and the king!" So the elders and nobles took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died. Then Jezebel said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead." In judgment for Jezebel’s deceitful acts, the LORD declared: "In the very place where dogs lapped up Naboth’s blood, dogs shall lap up your (Ahab) blood, even yours." [see 1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 21. 6 – 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im] And as for Jezebel, "dogs shall devour Jezebel in the field of Jezreel, with none to bury her." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 9. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] And it happened just that way.

The great deceit against our LORD came from Judas Iscariot "Now HIS betrayer had given them (chief priests, elders and their thugs) a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, HE is the ONE; seize HIM." [Matthew 26. 48] And, because Judas had betrayed innocent blood, his depraved conscience so troubled him and he tried to return the treacherous money: "he threw down the pieces of silver in the Temple and departed, and went and hanged himself." [Matthew 27. 5]

The LORD YESHUA taught that one of the signs of the end of the age would be countless false prophets that will deceive many, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for MY NAME'S sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another" [Matthew 24. 9 - 10]; "but he who endures to the end shall be saved." [Matthew 24. 13]

GOD is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE and HE allows trials that we may be tested so to be strengthened. Therefore, all followers of MESSIAH YESHUA, should learn to pray as Peter taught: "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of JESUS CHRIST." [1 Peter 1. 6 - 7]

Our LOVING REDEEMER promises those who remain faithful that the "things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." [John 16. 33] Though we may be betrayed, we too are more than conquers thru the LORD OF GLORY and when we see HIS glorious face and HE takes us as HIS OWN, it will, beyond doubt be worth it all. For eye has not seen nor ear heard all great goodness, the ALMIGHTY has laid up for those who fear HIM, which HE has prepared for those who trust HIM. [see Psalms/Tehillym 31. 19]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world HE created. May Your will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed, MOST HOLY ONE, in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in our time, Amen. May YOU be blessed forever, even throughout all eternity. May YOU, be blessed, praised & honored, extolled & glorified, adored and exalted above all else. Amen
Zey ha-yom asaw ADONAI, nagilah ve-neesmechah voh. This is the day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and we will be glad in it. May the LIGHT of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, fill you with a yearning desire to submit to HIS inscrutable will and give you strength for your daily tasks.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Good teachers are mirrors as well as windows — they allow us to look at ourselves and see the world.

CAUSE YOUR FACE TO SHINE
"The LORD bless you and protect you! The LORD make HIS face shine [deal kindly] upon you and be gracious with you! The LORD bestow HIS favor upon you and grant you peace (shalom)!" [Numbers (B'Midvar) 6. 24 - 27 Tanakh, Torah]

The first active form of the word "shine" is here in this well-known blessing, the Aaronic Benediction for the children of Israel . True light comes only from GOD THE CREATOR, since "GOD IS LIGHT." [1 John 1. 5] We must continually receive the SON shining in our hearts to sustain our spiritual life, just as the world depends on the sunshine for its physical existence.

This prayer of blessing appears seven other times in HOLY SCRIPTURE: "Make YOUR face shine upon YOUR servant; as YOU are faithful, deliver me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 31. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "May GOD be gracious to us and bless us, and cause HIS FACE to shine upon us. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 67. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "O LORD GOD OF HOSTS, restore us; cause YOUR face to shine on us that we may be delivered." [Psalms (Tehillym) 80. 19; 80. 3, 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Make YOUR face shine upon YOUR servant, and teach me YOUR Laws." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 135 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "O our GOD, hear now the prayer of YOUR servant and his plea and cause YOUR face to shine upon YOUR desolate sanctuary, for the LORD'S sake." [Daniel (Danyel) 9. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Since HOLY OMNIPOTENCE GOD of all flesh dwells "in the unapproachable light" [1 Timothy 6. 16], HE shines on us for salvation, spiritual knowledge, and daily teachings and instructions through HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, WHO is "THE LIVING WORD" made FLESH. "In HIM was life, and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men." [John 1. 4] "For it is GOD WHO commanded light to shine out of darkness WHO has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of JESUS THE CHRIST." [2 Corinthians 4. 6] To HIM alone be honor, praise, glory, dominion, majesty and everlasting power forever and ever. Amen!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The LORD shall yet comfort Zion and shall choose Jerusalem . The wise serve the LORD OF GLORY out of their great love for HIM, in reverent fear.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Reality should never deter a good imagination.

HIS GOOD PLEASURE
"But it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM (YESHUA); HE has put HIM to grief. When YOU made HIS soul an offering for the guilty, HE shall see HIS offspring and have long life, and that through HIM the pleasure of the LORD'S purpose might prosper at HIS hand." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This MESSIANIC Prophecy is the most amazing love of all, the revelation that it pleased the HEAVENLY FATHER to put HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON through a terrible, bruising death. This also shows that CREATOR GOD is interested and pleasures in things that happen to us. "For HE made HIM WHO knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 21]

The only possible way "the pleasure of the LORD" could be accomplished was to redeem souls of lost mankind, whom HE created for eternal fellowship with HIM. "For the LORD delights in HIS people; HE adorns the lowly with salvation." [Psalms (Tehillym) 149. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "May those who desire MY righteousness sing forth joyously; may they always say — Extolled be the LORD WHO desires the well-being of HIS servant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The NEW COVENANT records several times when the EVERLASTING KING spoke from heaven assuring us that HE was "well pleased" with HIS BELOVED SON — MESSIAH YESHUA. [Matthew 3. 17; 17. 5; Mark 1. 11; Luke 3. 22; 2 Peter 1. 17] "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM!" This is intricately difficult, if not impossible, to understand. . . but if it were not true, none of us could ever be saved. The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH proclaimed to HIS little flock — "it is your FATHER'S good pleasure to give you the Kingdom." [Luke 12. 32] "Like a SHEPHERD, HE pastures HIS flock; HE gathers the lambs in HIS arms and carries them in HIS bosom; gently leading those who are with young." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

We were created for "HIS pleasure" [Revelation 4. 11], and we have been predestined "to adoption as sons by JESUS CHRIST to HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of HIS will." [Ephesians 1. 5] This is too much for us to comprehend, so we must believe and rest in the great truth that "it is GOD WHO works in you both to will and to do for HIS good pleasure." [Philippians 2. 13] We are assured that "the LORD takes pleasure in them that fear HIM, those who hope in HIS mercy and faithful care." [Psalms (Tehillym) 147. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "In the wisdom of GOD, it pleased GOD through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." [1 Corinthians 1. 21] Let us rejoice with thanksgiving for HIS gentle compassion and lovingkindness toward us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
LORD GOD MOST HIGH, YOU are my praise and my glory! Help us LORD, to break down the barriers which keep us from YOU. . . falsehood & faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice & hard-heartedness. Thank YOU for YOUR tender mercies and YOUR amazing love. Hasten the day that we may behold the glory of YOUR might, when the world will be perfected under YOUR Kingdom, our ALMIGHTY GOD & KING.
Every day is a unique time to reminder to commit ourselves anew to guard our actions and tongues - we need to guard our tongue and avoid evil speech so that everything we say will be with grace; to build up and not tear down.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The one who cannot escape the consequences of the OLD COVENANT, is the one who will not accept the blessings of the NEW.

BLOOD COVENANT
"Now may the GOD of peace WHO brought up our LORD JESUS from the dead, that GREAT SHEPHERD of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant." [Hebrews 13. 20]

The Hebrew word "beriyth" translates to covenant, treaty, agreement, pledge, testament, divine ordinance or contract. The theme of THE COVENANT is expressively significant in the book of Hebrews more then any other book in the NEW COVENANT. It is especially one for the allotment of an inheritance, which is the most significant of all covenants.

This NEW COVENANT is also called "a better covenant." [Hebrews 7. 22; 8. 6] "For this is the covenant that I will make with the House of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put MY Laws in their mind, and write them on their hearts; and I will be their GOD, and they shall be MY people. I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." [Hebrews 8. 10, 12 — quoting Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 31. 33]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is "the MEDIATOR of the NEW COVENANT, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the FIRST COVENANT, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance" [Hebrews 9. 15] "not according to our works, but according to HIS OWN purpose and grace which was given to us in MESSIAH YESHUA before time began." [2 Timothy 1. 9]

The OLD COVENANT was signed by ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF: "When the sun set and it was very dark, there appeared a SMOKING OVEN (Hebrew: 'ashan tannuwr), and a FLAMING TORCH (Hebrew: 'esh lappiyd) which passed between those pieces. On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram saying — To your offspring I assign this land, from the River of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates ." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 17 - 18 Tanakh, Torah; see all Genesis/Bereshith 15]

The NEW COVENANT is everlasting and our inheritance is eternal, for the blood of this COVENANT was made with the infinitely precious blood of the LORD YESHUA "WHO has been perfected forever" [Hebrews 7. 28] WHOM GOD has raised from the dead and now "HE continues forever...an UNCHANGEABLE PRIESTHOOD, since HE always lives to make intercession" for all who "come to GOD through HIM." [Hebrews 7. 24 - 25] Even now, won't you come and surrender your life to the MASTER?

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As a CHRISTian, we inherit life, real life, abundant and eternal; free to be salt, light and an ambassador for the glory of the ALMIGHTY ONE, free to live like MESSIAH, but more so, to become like HIM. How wonderfully glorious!
Nitzavim – Stand, all of you this day before the LORD your GOD! –see Deuteronomy 29.9 thru 30.20

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD has a history of using the insignificant to accomplish the impossible.

CHARIOTS & JUDGMENT
"The chariots dash about frenzied in the fields, they rush through the meadows. They appear like torches, they race like streaks of lightning." [Nahum (Nachum) 2. 4 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

"For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more." [Luke 12. 48] Nineveh had been given the privilege of knowing the ONE TRUE GOD. Under Jonah’s preaching, this great city had repented and, the ALMIGHTY ONE had graciously held back HIS judgment. However, one hundred years later, it becomes incurably apostate. Nahum proclaims the downfall of this same city. The Assyrians (Assyria is modern-day Iraq) have forgotten the GOD of Jacob and returned to their habits of violence, idolatry, and arrogance. As a result, Babylon so destroyed the city that no trace of it remains — a prophecy fulfilled in painful detail as Nahum’s prophecies were fulfilled. This was accomplished at the hands of the Chaldeans and the Medes.

The entire book of Nahum (Hebrew meaning: "comfort of YEhOwAh") deals with the coming destruction of Assyria, especially its great capital, Nineveh which had appeared to be invincible. This was one of the most viciously aggressive and cruel empires in all history, bitterly opposed to the LORD GOD of heaven and HIS rule as CREATOR. Assyrians had been allowed by GOD to punish the ten tribes of Israel , carrying them into captivity. But, their own time of judgment was coming!

Nahum gives other prophecies that are both immediate and future fulfillment as in other OLD COVENANT passages. Nahum prophesied the ruin of Nineveh and also the great judgment of the last days: "The mountains quake because of Him, the hills melt before Him, and the earth burns at HiS presence. Yes, the world and all who dwell therein...And with a sweeping flood HE will make an utter end of those who oppose HIM, and darkness pursues HiS enemies." [Nahum (Nachum) 1. 5, 8 Tanah, Nevi’im] Take heed, there is vengeance in the MASTER OF WRATH’S judgment because, "God is jealous (EL QUANNA), the LORD is passionate, avenging; the Lord is vengeful and fierce in wrath. The Lord will take vengeance on HIS adversaries, HE rages against HIS enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and of great forbearance (patience, mercy), and will not at all acquit (free, exonerate) the wicked." [Nahum (Nachum) 1. 2 - 3 Tanah, Nevi’im]

Whether it be powerful, raging chariots — as used in fighting in ancient Nineveh — or prefiguring terrifyingly, lethal attack vehicles of these present last days, the burning message of Nahum is that apostasy (desertion, betrayal), violence, corruption, and cruelty eventually bring terrible judgment and utter destruction. And today, the destruction of the capital city of Assyria is also a message of comfort and consolation to the great Land of Israel and all who live in fear of the cruelty of the Assyrians and her other infamously notorious enemies. From this, we learn to be zealously resolute to stand fast, GOD is in full and complete control.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow on us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU! Thank YOU LORD for saving my soul! Daily, walk with GOD through the new year and HE will bless and keep you close.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Life is not a matter of chance, it's a matter of choice — "Choose Wisely."

NEW YEARS MEDITATION
O ETERNAL ONE, WHO gives meaning to the strivings of men, attune our hearts for communion with YOU. Open my lips, and my mouth shall declare YOUR praises. YOU are Holy, and YOUR NAME is holy and YOUR worshipers proclaim YOUR holiness. Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD.

O LIVING GOD, YOU are blessed, my KING, my HELPER, my SAVIOR & SHIELD. YOU, O LORD, are mighty forever; YOU quicken the dead, YOU are mighty to save. YOU sustain the living with lovingkindness, quicken the dead with great mercy, support the falling, heal the sick, loose the bound and keep YOUR faith to them that sleep in the dust.

How often, when everything else fails us, do we yearn for YOU, our MIGHTY CREATOR. In the stillness of the night, in the press of the crowd, in the agony of inner conflict, we bow our heads, and at that moment, YOU are in our hearts and we are at peace. We do not know, O MERCIFUL LORD, whether the gifts for which we ask are for our good, whether our trials and tribulations may not be blessings in disguise, whether even the fragments of our shattered hopes and dreams may not minister to the up-building of other lives and the fulfillment of YOUR unfathomable plan. So we do not pray that YOU make our lives easy, to give us happiness without adversity. Rather we pray that YOU continue to help us to be uncomplaining and unafraid. Teach us to face life with faith and courage that we may see the blessings hidden away even in its conflicts and struggles. Help us to find victory in the discipline of pain transforming all things into loving obedience. May we seek the face of GOD because HE is GOD.

May we realize that life calls us, not merely to enjoy the fatness of the earth, but to rejoice in heights attained after the toil of climbing. Then, our darkness will be illumined by YOUR GLORIOUS LIGHT and our weakness made strong by YOUR strength, lifting us above fear and defeat, and sustaining our steps with an immortal hope.

The ALMIGHTY ONE is HOPE to them that wait for HIM, JOY to the Land of Israel, GLADNESS to the City of Jerusalem, and a FLOURISHING HORN to HIS servants. The SON OF JESSE, the ANOINTED ROCK OF AGES, is a CLEAR SHINING LIGHT to those who fear HIM. O, give glory and praise to the LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT!

Then shall the just also see and be glad, and the upright shall exult, and the pious triumphantly rejoice, while iniquity shall close her mouth, and all wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke, when YOU LORD my GOD make the dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth.

And YOU, O ALMIGHTY LORD, shall reign, YOU alone over all YOUR works on Mount Zion, the dwelling place of YOUR glory, and in Jerusalem, YOUR Holy City, as it is recorded in YOUR HOLY WRITTEN WORD, "The LORD shall reign forever, your GOD, O Zion, for all generations. HalleluYAH." [Psalms (Tehillym) 146. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Highly exalted and praised are YOU, O LORD our ETERNAL GOD, the STAY & TRUST of the righteous. Amen!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat, may the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, and fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE. Refresh yourself and others through HIS wisdom & discernment, love & kindness — that you continue to experience some of the sweetness of Sabbath daily. This is the final day of Chanukkah, known as Neilah (the 8th day of Chanukah) is the time for miracles. As you daven (pray), expect a major relationship with ALMIGHTY GOD; and in your marriage, friends, associates, health, income, children, and all other phases of your life.
The 8th Light is the Light of Courage. Let truth and justice be your armor and fear not, the ALMIGHTY ONE, blessed be HE, is with you.
As we celebrate the last night (evening-to-evening) of Chanukkah, we come to the Miketz—(Hebrew for at the end) of the celebration, our prayer for each of you is to be strong and of good courage; be bold as you proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Salvation to all. The LORD bless and keep you throughout the coming days of the new year! Go with GOD!
"Now to HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the PRESENCE OF HIS GLORY with exceeding joy, to GOD our SAVIOR WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen!" [Jude 25]
As we enter another year, we hold you in our hearts — please know, you are in our daily prayers! May GOD be with you and strengthen you, giving you wisdom, discernment, mercy and grace!
"Tov Shavua — Have a good week!" And wishing you a Happy Chanu-Year…since this is both, the last night of Chanukkah and begins the New Year!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Any time we do not understand GOD’S actions. A person of faith must simply concede that we do not know GOD’S plans. GOD has HIS calculations. HIS ways are not our ways that we understand, but prove to be favor in disguise, as are so many challenges that come our way. "Everything that GOD does is ultimately for the good." [Talmud] We must believe that GOD always does what is best for us…nothing can separate me from the love of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the VICTORIOUS LORD GOD OF ISRAEL.

CLOSED DOORS
"So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as GOD had commanded him. And the ELOHIYM shut him in." [Genesis (Bereshith) 7. 16 Tanakh, Torah]

HOLY SCRIPTURE clearly reveals that when the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR sets an appointed time for great judgment, HE prepares a door of deliverance for the minority who repent and seek HIM. In Noah’s day there were only eight who had the faith to believe GOD’S revelation of a coming catastrophe. When it happened, that fateful day dawned and history records that day, for "YEHOWAH said to Noah, "Come into the ark, with all your household, for you alone have I found righteous before Me in this generation." [Genesis (Bereshith) 7. 1 Tanakh, Torah] The LORD GOD HIMSELF closed the door, not only on the ark, but on that entire generation that had rejected HIM. All flesh had filled the earth with violence and the LORD was intent to destroy "them with the earth." [Genesis/Bereshith 6. 13]

Matthew draws a parallel between the judgment of Noah’s day and the imminent Second-Coming of MESSIAH. "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the SON OF MAN be." [Matthew 24. 38 - 39] Today the DOOR is still open, we are given the open recorded vigilant caution: "See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it." [Revelation 3. 8] Earnestly concerned, the Apostle John recorded the message given by the LORD JESUS CHRIST, "Most assuredly I say to you, I am the DOOR (YESHUA) of the sheep." [John 10. 7] The day will come, soon and unexpectedly, when GOD HIMSELF will divinely shut that ONLY DOOR that is THE UNIQUE, MATCHLESS, ONE-OF-A-KIND WAY of salvation.

It is critically imperative that we diligently be ready and waiting for fear that today should be the eventful day of the LORD’S return. Regrettably, many will once again not be prepared...just like HOLY SCRIPTURES warned repeatedly, time and again. "When once the MASTER of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'LORD, LORD, open for us,' and HE will answer and say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from'...'I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from ME, all you workers of iniquity.' There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." [Luke 13. 26, 27 - 28]

"Seek the LORD while HE may be found, call to HIM while He is near. Let the wicked abandon his ways, the unrighteous, sinful man his thoughts; Let him turn back to the LORD, and HE will have mercy on him and pardon him; to our GOD, for HE freely and abundantly forgives." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 55. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi’im] The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is the PETAH TIKVAH, the DOOR OF HOPE; completely open your spirit, soul and body to HIM without any further hesitation. . .HE is patiently waiting especially for you!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath! We also honor and praise our beloved LORD YESHUA, the ONE WHO promised to never leave nor forsake us.
At Chanukkah, we are remind that HE WHO created darkness also created light, and HE is still in charge. “Let the ONE WHO made the lights of Chanukkah burn then, continues to do it for us now.
The 7th Light is the Light of Justice. Thus said King David, "Trust in the LORD and wait patiently for HIM!" Nothing can be achieved in haste. The spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. May the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE allows to make you strong.
The commentaries state that a reason for the destruction of the Temple was due to Jews turning away from GOD in sincerity and truth to their own form of worship and for fighting against each other. The rededication of the Temple on Chanukkah saw the Jews repair their spiritual breeches and reunite around the Temple. When the Jewish people return to their MAKER, HE is faithful to forgive and restore. And in unity we too are strongest, like two hands coming together.
Happy Chanukkah Everyone! Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness.
By HIS great mercy, GOD has given us a new birth into a LIVING HOPE through MESSIAH YESHUA – what a gift!
An Interesting Jewish Morsel: The TORAH, and the Jewish commentator’s hindsight, tells us that Noah was 500 years old when he had his three children – Shem, Ham and Yafet (evidently they were not identical triplets). But if you look carefully at the TEXT, you will notice that most people were having children at about 100 years of age. As such, it took Noah five times longer to have children than most other. [see Genesis/Bereshith 6. 32] Why is the righteous Noah forced to suffer through childlessness, while his neighbors were raising families? GOD was actually doing Noah a favor by withholding offspring from him. This is because if Noah’s children had been born a few hundred years earlier, they likely may have turned out to be wicked (like all those around them), and GOD would have had to kill them along with the rest of the world. On the other hand, had they remained righteous, like their father. As such, GOD arranged it that Noah’s children would be born shortly before the flood, and Noah was faithful to teach them holiness, in spite of the wickedness around them, so they would not turn out to be depraved like the world and subject to GOD’S wrath, for their unbelieving spirit. [As parents have a serious obligation before the HOLY ONE regarding raising the of the children that LORD gives them!]
Our love, Rabbi Del & Rifkah

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Tradition can really miss the mark —
GOD: And remember, Moses, in the Laws of keeping kosher, never boil a kid in its mother's milk. It is cruel.
Moses: So, YOU are saying we should never eat milk and meat together?
GOD: No, what I'm saying is, "never cook a young goat in its mother's milk."
Moses: O LORD, forgive my ignorance! What YOU are really saying is we should wait six hours after eating meat to eat milk so the two are not in our stomachs together.
GOD: No, Moses, listen to ME — I am saying, "do not cook a kid in its mother's milk!"
Moses: Oy, LORD! Please don't strike me down for my stupidity! What YOU mean is we should have a separate set of dishes for milk and a separate set for meat and if we make a mistake we have to bury that dish outside for 3 days?
GOD: "Whatever!!!"

KOSHER FOODS
"The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, speak to the Israelite people thus: — These are the creatures you may eat from among all the land animals: Any animal that has true hoofs, with clefts through the hoofs, and chews the cud — such you may eat. And of those that live in water: Any that has fins and scales you may eat. You shall not eat any abominable bird. You may not eat anything abhorrent; no detestable thing." [Leviticus/Vayikra 11. 1 - 23; Deuteronomy/Devarim 14. 4 - 21]

The ALMIGHTY HOLY GOD gives the children of Israel HIS Laws concerning their food. They were forbidden to eat the flesh of animals whose hoofs are not cloven or which do not chew the cud (horse, camel, swine, rabbits, etc.); the fish that lack fins and scales (lobster, crabs, scallops, etc.); birds of prey (eagle, vulture, crows, etc.); all creeping things and insects (cockroach, spiders, lizards, snakes, etc.) except for certain types of locusts. It should be observed that even of those animals permitted for food, certain parts were forbidden: The Blood [Deuteronomy/Devarim 12. 23]; Fat [Leviticus/Vayikra 3. 3 - 5; 7. 23]; and in Jewish custom, the Hind Quarter, because it contains the sciatic nerve. The hind quarter is avoided as food because of the occurrence in Genesis, the story of Jacob's wrestling with the ANGEL OF THE LORD — "the children of Israel to this day do not eat the thigh muscle that is on the socket of the hip, since Jacob's hip socket was wrenched at the thigh muscle." [Genesis (Bereshith) 32. 32 Tanakh, Torah]

These dietary laws were given to the Israelites primarily for hygienic reasons to bring to their attention the importance of being Clean and Holy in the sight of the RIGHTEOUS ETERNAL ONE. Their difference from other peoples was not only to be in their religious worship but also in their eating habits. The HOLY LORD GOD explained this conclusively and definitely. . .
The primary reason for giving these food laws to Israel was to sanctify them, to establish a difference between them and the heathen. "I the LORD am your GOD; you shall sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am holy...you shall not make yourselves unclean." [Leviticus/Vayikra 11. 44; Deuteronomy/Devarim 14. 2 - 3] They were to be a holy people to GOD MOST HIGH.

CREATOR GOD called some animals and fish "clean" and some "unclean" to teach lesson's by the very nature of these animals and fish (for their meat was good to eat). The "Divided Hoof" depicts separation. An animal with divided hoofs can climb to high places. The people of GOD are to be like the clean animal — separated from the worldly system to climb the high mountains of spiritual victory!

The "FINS" are for propulsion, to swim against the current, to stay off the mud below. The people of GOD are to be like the clean fish with fins; refuse to slide along in the mud or to drift with the tide, but swim against the current. "Scales (Hebrew: "qasqeseth" means- coat of mail)"on the clean fish are for protection against muddy waters and any contamination. GOD'S people are to be like the clean fish with scales, though in the world, protected against all the filth of the world, encased in a "coat of mail."

ALMIGHTY GOD commanded HIS people only to eat the meat of those animals who "chew the cud." The HEBREW TORAH translates "chewing the cud" as reflect, think, to muse, to ponder, to meditate. This is a mark of the sanctified life — "to chew the cud" — the WORD OF GOD, to meditate upon it day and night.

There is significance also in the command of the ETERNAL ONE which prohibits fat and blood. However, it is Jewish custom, not GOD'S Law which forbids the hind quarter of animals which were "clean" for food. Blood, because the life of the flesh is in the blood. [Deuteronomy/Devarim 12. 23; Leviticus/Vayikra 7. 26; 17. 10 - 11] Fat, because the fat belonged to the LORD God Almighty. [Numbers/B'Midvar 18. 17; Leviticus/Vayikra 3. 16] The Sinew [that shrank], because INVINCIBLE GOD touched the human "strength" of Jacob (Israel) while wrestling with him. [Genesis/Bereshith 32. 32] In all this we see: Blood is the Life; Fat shows Abundance; Sinew portrays Strength. . . and all belongs to the LORD GOD!

Consider this also, there was a difference between Clean and Unclean animals before the Law was given. At the time of the flood, Noah was to take seven of every Clean animal — male and its female; and two each of the Unclean animals — male and its female. [Genesis/Bereshith 7] Even in the foods one eats, the HOLY OMNIPOTENT LORD OF HOSTS wants HIS children to be set apart, consecrated.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The 5th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Holiness. Purity of thought and nobility of action make all of life sacred. "Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD OF HOSTS; the whole earth is filled with HIS Glory!" May the REDEEMER of all ages make you holy and may you grow in HIS wisdom and favor.
Jewish families recite beautiful prayers during the lighting ceremony, offering praise and thanksgiving to GOD for “delivering the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few...the wicked into the hands of the righteous.”
Wishing you every happiness and fulfillment during this Festival of Lights!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The LORD places reverence due to the Mother before that due to the Father. ["You shall each revere his Mother and his Father, and keep MY Sabbaths; I the LORD am your GOD." Leviticus/Vayikra 19. 3 Tanakh, Torah]

JACOB, AN HONORABLE NAME
"Then his brother emerged holding on to Esau's heel, so they named him Jacob." [Genesis (Bereshith) 25. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

Few in number were the godly remnant of Abraham's household. It was their heritage of faith, though they had only a few cherished chapters of Genesis; eagerly, the promises weighed in their hearts.

Though she came from a strange land, Rivkah (Rebekkah) was heir of that faith, when she became the wife of Itshak (Isaac). She was the mother of the twins, Jacob and Esau, and was mindful of the promise the ALMIGHTY HOLY ONE had given to her forefathers when sin entered into the world and attempted to put out the LIGHT OF HOPE among men. The promise was for "THE SEED" of woman WHO would battle Satan, the evil serpent, the Evil Adversary, the Arch-Deceiver and enemy of man. In that conflict the "heel" would play an important role. With the heel, the woman's "SEED" would crush the serpent's head; in turn, HIS heel would be bruised. Therefore Rivkah (Rebekkah) called her son Jacob — a name which literally means he shall fight with the heel or heel grabber! The name, "Jacob" is a play on the Hebrew word "aqeb" that means "heel" — which can also be correctly translated, supplanter.

Often the first seeds of anti-Semitism are planted by the habit of calling Jewish people names. . . "a Jacob, a Heb, a kike, a supplanter." One should not condone the crooked deed of Jacob, when he deceived his father to get the blessing, which was rightfully his according to GOD’S OWN WORD before they were born. [Genesis/Bereshith 25. 23] Jacob's heart yearned for holiness, purity, and for the likeness of the IMAGE OF GOD. In HIS grace and mercy, the LORD GOD MOST HIGH covered Jacob with perfection and righteousness. Even Isaac acknowledged that Jacob was the one he should have blessed, and trembled exceedingly when he realized he almost disobeyed the LORD GOD. [Genesis/Bereshith 27. 33] Correctly translated, Genesis/Bereshith 25:27 should read, "Jacob was a perfect (Hebrew: tam) man (Hebrew: 'ish) who stayed in camp." Most English versions of the BIBLE read: Jacob was a plain, quiet, peaceful or mild man, dwelling in tents.

Nevertheless, in naming her son Jacob, we see and understand what was in his mother, Rivkah's heart — it was the hope that through this son of hers, "THE PROMISE" regarding the "heel" might be fulfilled...that Jacob might be that "PROMISED SEED" — and that through him the SALVATION OF GOD might be ushered in.

Then why was Jacob's name was changed to Israel (prince of GOD, GOD prevails, he will rule as GOD) by the SOVEREIGN One? Was it because "Jacob" is a name of dishonor? No! for GOD continued to call HIMSELF "the GOD of Jacob" even after HE changed the name from "Jacob" to " Israel " — this was GOD'S doing! In the event of the burning bush, about 400 years after that incident, speaking to Moses, the LORD GOD said: "I am the GOD of your fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob." [Exodus (Shemot) 3. 6 Tanakh, Torah] These are the exact words spoken by the LORD JESUS to prove to the astonished Pharisees and Sadducees that the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead was found in the Law. [Matthew 22. 31 - 32] Even the last prophet, Malachi, writes of the LORD declaring: "Esau is Jacob's brother, yet I have loved and accepted Jacob; but Esau, I have hated and rejected." [Malachi (Malakhi) 1. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The name "Jacob" is not only honored, it is used to denote "THE ANOINTED ONE" WHO is equal with the HEAVENLY FATHER, the very SON OF GOD, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. "This is the generation of them that see HIM, that seek YOUR face, O JACOB! Selah." [Psalms (Tehillym) 24. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Here in these words, Jacob is brought right into the holy of holies of the PRESENCE OF OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT GOD. MESSIAH YESHUA — JACOB is made equal to YEHOWAH GOD HIMSELF. Jacob, in this occurrence, is another name for the SON OF GOD WHO is in the presence of GOD THE FATHER. Indeed, Jacob prefigured the ANOINTED MESSIAH WHO is the true JACOB, WHO crushed the Serpent's head. And, by HIS victory, liberated captive humanity from the dominion of the Devil and death, and opened up the gates of liberty and eternal life!

There are two stages in the life of Jacob characteristic of MESSIAH YESHUA:
1. The stage of conflict and suffering — the Jacob stage.
2. The stage of triumph and glory prefigured by Israel.
The life of Jacob is also typical of the Church of the LORD JESUS:
1. The Jacob Stage — that of the Church on earth, the Church militant.
2. The Israel Stage — that of the Church triumphant in glory.

But whether in conflict or victory, whether militant or triumphant, the person and the name "Jacob" are dear to the heart of the LORD GOD. Therefore, do not treat that name lightly. Like Jacob of old, our cry should be, "I wait for YOUR DELIVERANCE, O LORD!" [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 18 Tanakh, Torah]

We, like Jacob, must yield to the GOD/MAN (MESSIAH YESHUA). We are called to give up our striving for autonomy, for self-determination, self-realization, actualization, and all the other self-stuff, and submit by a life-long yielding to the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH. In so doing, we are transformed (regenerated) and become princes and princesses of ALMIGHTY GOD. As KING JESUS promised, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with ME on MY Throne, just as I overcame and sat down with MY FATHER on HIS Throne." [Revelation 3. 21]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The 6th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Love. "You shall love the LORD your GOD will all your heart and all your soul and with all your might!" May YESHUA bless you with HIS great love that all may see it and know the ONE from WHOM it came.
May ALMIGHTY GOD’S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY.
. . . bright enough for all to see
. . . clear enough for all to follow

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
You’re never a failure until you start to blame. In other words, you can still be in the process of learning from your mistakes until you deny them.

ALWAYS A WITNESS
"The LIVING GOD, WHO made the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all things that are in them, WHO in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. Nevertheless HE did not leave HIMSELF without witness, in that HE did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness." [Acts 14. 15 - 18]

There is an abundance of evidence that the mighty power and wisdom of INFINITE GOD created this tremendously complex world. "The heavens declare the glory of GOD; the firmament shows HIS handiwork." [Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For since the creation of the world HIS invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and GODhead, so that they are without excuse." [Romans 1. 20]

The wisdom and power of the MIGHTY DESIGNER is also shown in the wonderful evidence of HIS incredible grace in nature. Even though "the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now" [Romans 8. 22], laboring under the awful curse on the ground imposed by the HOLY GOD when Adam sinned [Genesis/Bereshith 3. 17], it has been so subjected "in hope" — with GOD’S promise that creation itself will be delivered from the "bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty" — and "we are saved by hope." [Romans 8. 20 – 21, 24]

The goodness of the LORD WHO created you is proved in the daily triumph of light over darkness, the yearly return of spring after winter, and the cliché triumphantly repeated — life over death. Although individuals die, new souls are born; and always there is hope. Man must eat his bread in the sweat of his face as he labors to wrest a living from the cursed ground, but GOD does send the rain and the fruitful seasons to make possible the growing of food and the sustaining of life. We must eat of it in sorrow all the days of our life, nevertheless GOD fills our heart with food and gladness. All the labor and sweat and sorrow is "for our sake" [Genesis/Bereshith 3. 17], urging and persuading man to return to the CREATOR GOD for his daily bread, but more so, to eternal salvation found in HIS BELOVED SON, YESHUA. How foolish is the man who received all these gifts of GOD’S grace without acknowledging their SOURCE. "Do you despise the riches of HIS goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of GOD leads you to repentance?" [Romans 2. 4]

To everyone who works what is good greatly rejoice for there is glory, honor, and peace "though now for a little while…you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of JESUS CHRIST" [1 Peter 1. 6 – 7], WHO loves you so very much.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
On Chanukkah we express our gratitude for these miracles that were initiated by man. They draw out our admiration because they remind us of the greatest miracle of all, the miracle, as King David put it, that “YOU have made man a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor” [Psalms 8:5]
The 4th Light is the Light of Mercy. Cruelty hardens the heart and destroys friendship. "Do justice, and love mercy, and walk humbly after your GOD." Truly, the LORD is exceptionally good, HIS mercy is eternal, HIS faithfulness and truth is for all generations.

Happy Chanukkah Everyone! Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness.
Chanukkah tells us that a spiritual light burns far longer than imaginable or possible by physical laws of nature. The oil which realistically should have burnt less than a day in that story continued to emit its holy glow for 8-days until it could be replenished. That very light, the fire of idealism and of optimism of the Maccabees and the priests who rededicated the Temple of old, continues to the present to guide us to the creation of a united Jerusalem finally recognized by all the peoples on earth as the capital, not only of Israel but of all the nations who will someday come to worship in the place Biblically designated as the "City of Peace."

O FATHER in Heaven, YOU are our GUIDE even unto death. Grant us, I pray grace to follow YOU wherever YOU go. In little daily duties to which YOU call us, bow down our wills to simple obedience, patience under pain or frustration, strict truthfulness of word and manner, humility, kindness; in great acts of duty or perfection, if YOU should call us to them, uplift us to self-sacrifice, heroic courage, laying down our life for YOUR Truth’s sake, or for a brother. Amen. Remember the wonder reflected upon the SERVANT, YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, WHO bent down to bring light to those HE so loved. The LORD bless and keep you throughout the coming days!
Love, mercy, strength & peace to all. Go with GOD!
Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 3 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Mon 26 Dec 2016, 11:07 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come! O come EMMANU’EL!

WORSHIP HIM
"When HE again brings the FIRSTBORN into the world, HE says — Let all the angels of GOD worship HIM." [Hebrews 1. 6]

JESUS the CHRIST is "the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, which is in the bosom of the father" [John 1. 8], but the day finally came when HE had to enter humankind, and the ETERNAL WORD "was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the FATHER full of grace and truth." [John 1. 14] Fulfilling the OLD COVENANT prophesy — "The PRESENCE (glory, Hebrew: kabod) of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh, as one, shall behold — for the mouth of the LORD has spoken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 5 Tanakh, Nevi’im] By eternal generation, by the incarnation, by the virgin birth, and by the resurrection, HE is in every significance GOD’S FIRST BEGOTTEN — ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON.

So, when YESHUA first entered the world, born of a virgin (Hebrew: alma : engaged virgin), HIS HEAVENLY FATHER called on all the innumerable angles in the heavenly host to bow down and worship HIM. There are several other MESSIANIC prophecies as applied to YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. "Rejoice, O Nations, with HIS people! For HE will avenge the blood of HIS servants, wreak vengeance to HIS adversaries; and HE will provide atonement for HIS Land and HIS people, and wipe away HIS people’s tears." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 43 Tanakh, Torah] "Bless the LORD, O HIS angels, who excel in strength, who do HIS WORD, ever obedient to the voice of HIS WORD. Bless the LORD, all HIS hosts, HIS servants who do HIS will and HIS pleasure. Bless the LORD, all HIS works, through the length and breadth of HIS dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 20 - 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

However, it is a specific decree of GOD, proclaimed throughout the universe at the time of the human birth of HIS SON, and recorded in the Hebrew Text. All the angels of the infinite cosmos bowed in solemn worship, but a special contingent was commissioned to watch directly over the birth, and proclaim the GOOD NEWS to those nearby, "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising GOD and saying — "Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" [Luke 2. 13 - 14] The angles saw and worshipped, the shepherds heard and made it widely known. And "and all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds." [Luke 2. 18] May each of us do likewise — glorify and praise the GREAT LOVING LORD GOD for all the things we have heard, and seen, and experienced...and bow down and worship the MAGNIFICENT KING OF THE UNIVERSE.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The Third Light is the LIGHT of Justice. No nation can endure who is unjust to the weak. "Justice, always justice shall you pursue!"
"Take heed that you judge in righteousness, for you do not judge for man but for the GOD WHO is with you in judgment."

Although it was a dark day for our generation on the eve of Chanukkah this year as the UN cast another appalling vote and the United States, our former ally, refused to veto. And yet, the timing couldn’t have been better because the story of Chanukkah reminds us that we are not in charge and that the world will run the way the ALMIGHTY ONE is and has always been in control. If a rag-tag band of yeshiva boys can defeat the Greek-Syrian army, surely, in our sophisticated age, we need not despair. We need only recognize THE SOURCE of our help—YESHUA, the ROCK OF Ages our MIGHTY WARRIOR/REDEEMER.
Trusting that you are having an unforgettable and joyous Chanukkah - blessings to each of you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Honor, worship, and glorify YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, the BUILDER of the sky, the HANGER of the spheres, the MAKER of the wind and rain, the MASTER of the impossible.

CELEBRATING ONE HOPE
Obscure it was, a tiny town
and far away from here.
But a brightness shone
from heaven afar
to lead the wise men there.

Unnoticed by a struggling world,
a tiny BABE is wrapped.
A Mother sighs to hold HIM tight
against the chilling damp.

But up above the angels sing
to honor such a KING
WHO left HIS majesty on high
to save the wandering.

And lowly shepherds they did send
to gaze upon the CHILD
To see the power of MIGHTY GOD
wrapped humbly, meek and mild.

For just ahead ETERNAL HOPE
for them and us is laid,
Because upon a wooden cross
HIS life HE gave to save.

And at this wondrous CHRISTmas-time
our praises soar on high
For from the grave HE conquered death
and at our door is nigh.

Again, CHRISTmas is a reason
to open wide our hearts to HIM
For our ONE HOPE is JESUS CHRIST
WHO saves us from our sin.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly.
Merry CHRISTmas! Let us celebrate the day our BELOVED LORD YESHUA came by entering into HIS PRESENCE & LIGHT with thanksgiving and praise to the KING OF GLORY.
"Have a Joyous CHRISTmas Season! — Our SAVIOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL reigns!" Our prayer for each of you is to have firsthand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, KING YESHUA Who'S coming to earth we celebrate this time of year.

The 8-Nights of Chanukkah start tonight at sundown, December 24th— Christmas Eve this year. Prepare to enjoy the Festival of Lights!
Genesis 1:3-4 describes the creation of the first LIGHT: "ELOHIYM said, 'Let there be light' —and there was light. GOD saw that the light was good, and GOD separated the light from the darkness."
Tonight starts the first night of Chanukkah. We begin with first lighting the Shamash Candle.
The Shehechey An’u (Chanukkah Candle-Lighting Ceremony)
MESSIAH YESHUA is shown in the Chanukkah lights as the middle or "Shamas (Servant) Candle." HE comes to minister, serve, and save; HE serves mankind with HIS wonderful salvation. We say special prayers before we light the menorah. There are blessings said over these special Chanukkah lights.
Before lighting the Shamash Candle
"As one candle may kindle many others and yet loose none of it's own light, so Judaism has kindled the light of truth for many religions in many lands and still shines brightly through the ages." This prayer gives thanks that our family and friends can be together to celebrate the holiday.

There are three blessings after lighting the Shams Candle: "Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO has sanctified us by YOUR commandments and commanded us to kindle the Chanukkah lights." Isaiah 49:7 gives a beautiful picture of the ONLY SERVANT of GOD WHO was exalted after HE had given HIS Light to HIS people, "The REDEEMER of Israel, GOD'S HOLY ONE; HIM WHO is despised; HIM WHO is abhorred of nations; to a SERVANT of rulers, kings shall see and arise; princes shall prostrate themselves."

The Second Blessing gives thanks for the miracles which have saved the Jewish people even when others wanted to destroy them. "Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the universe, WHO has kept us in life, sustained us and brought us to this festive season." The SHAMASH (Yeshua the Servant) came to light every man who comes to HIM, and all who come to HIM shall no longer walk in darkness but shall have the LIGHT OF LIFE! "The people that walked in darkness have seen a GREAT, BRILLIANT LIGHT; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them LIGHT has dawned." [Isaiah 9:2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Third Blessing gives thanks that our family and friends can be together to celebrate the holidays. "Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the universe, WHO performed wondrous deeds for our ancestors in days of old and has kept us in life, sustained us and brought us to this festive season." YESHUA ha’MASHIACH is the HOLY ONE sent of GOD to bring us the LIGHT OF SALVATION. Of MESSIAH it is written: "The LIGHT OF ISRAEL will be FIRE, and the HOLY ONE a FLAME." [Isaiah 10:17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The 1st Light tells us of HIM WHOSE first command was, "Let there be light." The darkness of idol worship and immorality was scattered when Israel brought radiant knowledge of one GOD. The ETERNAL ONE is the revealed SOURCE of Israel's Light: "YEHOWAH went before them in a Pillar of Cloud by day, to guide them along the way, and in a Pillar of Fire by night, to give them LIGHT, that they might travel day and night. The Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire by night did not depart from before the people." [Exodus/Shemot 13:21-22]
May you grow daily in the richness and blessings of knowing HIM, WHO is CREATOR GOD, the LIGHT of the world.
Happy CHRIST-anukkah!
Our love to each of you. . . Rabbi Del & Rifkah

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
This world is like an Inn ; the world-to-come, like Home!

A CHRISTMAS MEDITATION
WHO was this who was born on that far-off CHRISTmas Day? What manner of CHILD was this whose first bed was a rude, dusty manger? Did anyone know?

Yes! Miryam (Mary) knew. Scarcely more than a child though she was, her soul was exalted beyond our imagining as she listened to the announcement of the angel, "That HOLY CHILD which shall be born of you shall be called the SON OF GOD!"

Joseph also knew, direct from an angel. The wise men knew. . . drawn from the far corners of the earth as by a magnet. The angels knew, and all the wide golden streets of heaven were crowded with them, their faces shining with joy, and their chorus of rejoicing rising again and again, "Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!" Even the living stars knew. And, one of their number was appointed to hang in luminous beauty over the spot where the YOUNG CHILD lay.

The world, the one most concerned, the world — then as now before HIS second coming, went blindly on its way. But, thanks to ETERNAL GOD, you and I not only know, but incredible wonder of wonders, we have a personal relationship with that PERFECT ONE WHO left HIS ivory palaces and the glory which HE had with ALMIGHTY GOD before the earth was, and walked here awhile in humiliation.

We know that ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF spoke from heaven saying, "This is MY BELOVED SON, in WHOM I am well pleased!" SON OF GOD, KING of kings and LORD of lords! The GREAT DESIGNER and CREATOR of the Universe, for without HIM was nothing made that was made. Our GREAT HIGH PRIEST, ever living to make intercession for us. SIN-BEARER, and yet future JUDGE, for all judgment is committed unto the BELOVED ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON; the CAPTAIN of our salvation, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith, the BRIGHT & MORNING STAR, the RESURRECTION & LIFE!

CHRISTmas reminds us of the incredible message that GOD not only has a name, but a face! As instructed, Miryam (Mary) called HIM, "YESHUA (SAVIOR..."for besides ME, there is no SAVIOR, says YEHOWAH" Isaiah/Yeshayah 43.11)" — HIS NAME is also called: "WONDERFUL (PELE: secret, mysterious, a marvel, extraordinary, a wonder, something hard to understand), COUNSELOR (YAH'ATS), MIGHTY GOD (GIBOWR'EL), EVERLASTING FATHER (AD AB), PRINCE OF PEACE (SAR SHALOWM)." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6]

"NO ROOM FOR HIM AT THE INN!" Could any inn contain the LORD OF GLORY? The wonder is that the walls of that small stable did not part and stretch far, far away to the ends of the universe in a vain effort to make a dwelling place vast enough to house INFINITY!

Yet this same sinless, INCOMPARABLE, UNSURPASSED ONE suffered indescribable tortures because of HIS great love for you and me! For long dreadful hours the LORD JESUS hung upon the cross, bearing the guilt and shame of my sins and the sins of all the world. HE conquered death and hell for me...HE walks the earth with me...HE has given heaven to me!

It is too much, I cannot grasp such amazing depths of love. I can only remove the shoes from off my feet and bow in silent adoration at the door of that little stable in Bethlehem and worship my SAVIOR, my GOD, MESSIAH YESHUA, my LORD & KING!

How wonderful…INFINITE GOD became an INFANT; the GREAT GIVER became THE GIFT.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Merry CHRISTmas! Let us celebrate our BELOVED LORD JESUS by entering into HIS PRESENCE & LIGHT with thanksgiving and praise to the KING OF GLORY. This season, remember the ONE WHO entered the world and called your name. Let others see that you follow HIM. Love them by sharing HIS peace. After all, CHRISTmas is not about us. . . it's about HIM.

Our prayer for each of you is to have firsthand knowledge of our living salvation through our GREAT MESSIAH, KING YESHUA WHO'S coming to earth we celebrate.
A Joyous CHRISTmas blessings to each of you.

The 2nd Light of Chanukah is the Light of TORAH. Israel's BOOK OF LAW: The Commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share wonderful holy-days together with friends and family.
As the Chanukkah lights also point us toward the future, we also pray that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.
We have an obligation to extend the light to everyone around us, especially those held captive by the darkness of sin. So as you light your Chanukkah candles, carry the LIGHT OF THE WORLD into the dark night so you can bring hope and blessings to others. This is a joyous time of celebration for family and friends gatherings during this time of remembering miracles and giving thanks to the ALMIGHTY for HIS wondrous love and provisions. Let us join together and pray for all of GOD’S Chosen People as they celebrate GOD’S miracles of victory, dedication, and Light.
Wishing you Chanukkah sameach (Joy)!
With all our love, Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousnes

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Faith tells me that no matter what lies ahead, GOD is already there. Hope is total confidence in GOD’S promises that what HE says will certainly happen.

THE MACCABEES
It was on the fifteenth day of the month of Kislev, that the messengers of King Antiochus set up an idol on the altar of GOD, and had incense burnt in its honor. And they gave orders that the people of Judea should forsake the Law and the Covenant, profane the Sabbath and pollute the Sanctuary. But many chose rather to die than to forsake the Holy Covenant.

The king’s officers came to the city of Modin, and said to Mattathias bar’John, the son of Simon the Hasmonean, a priest of the sons of Joarib who dwelt in Modin: "You are a great man and strengthened with sons and relatives in this city. Come, then, and fulfill the king’s command as all the heathen have done, and the men of Judah and they that remained in Jerusalem. You shall be in the number of the king’s friends."

But Mattathias answered and spoke with a loud voice: "Though all the nations that are under the king’s dominion obey him and fall away each one from the religion of our fathers, trusting the LORD GOD MOST HIGH, yet I and my sons and my family will walk in the Covenant of our fathers. GOD forbid that we should forsake the Law to depart from our faith either to the right hand or to the left."

When, in the sight of all, one of the Jews came to sacrifice to the idol, Mattathias was inflamed with zeal, neither could he forbear to show his anger, and he slew him, and also the king’s officer, and he pulled down the altar. Then Mattathias cried throughout the city with a loud voice saying: "Whosoever is zealous of the Law and maintains the Covenant, let him follow me." So he and his sons fled into the mountains, and they went about pulling down the heathen altars, and rescued the Law out of the hands of the Gentiles. GOD forbid that we should forsake the Law to depart from our faith either to the right hand or to the left.

The days of Mattathias drew near that he should die and he said to his sons: "Be zealous for the Law and give your lives for the Covenant of your fathers. Remember what our fathers did in their generations. Was not Abraham found faithful in believing God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness? Phineas, son of Aaron, was exceedingly zealous for righteousness and acquired the covenant of an everlasting priesthood. David, for being faithful, inherited the throne of a kingdom forever and ever. Throughout all the ages, no one that put their trust in the ALMIGHTY were overcome. Therefore, be strong, my sons, and show yourselves men in behalf of the Law; for therein you shall obtain glory." And he blessed them and was gathered to his fathers.

Then Judah, called Maccabee, rose up in his stead, and all his brethren aided him and they fought with gladness the battle of Israel. He battled like a lion and the lawless shrunk for fear of him. He cheered Jacob by his mighty acts, and his memorial is blessed forever. And when the people feared and trembled at the sight of the great number of the enemy, and said: "What?? Being a small company, shall we be able to fight against so great and strong a multitude?" Judah answered: "With the GOD OF HEAVEN, it is totally possible to save by many or by few. For all the people shall know that there is ONE WHO redeems and saves Israel."

And Judah led them into battle, and the hosts of the enemy were discomfited before them. And, Israel had a great deliverance. Then they sang songs of thanksgiving and praised the LORD OF HEAVEN for HIS goodness and mercy that endures forever.

On the twenty-fifth day of Kislev, the same day when three years before the altar of GOD had been profaned by the heathens, the Sanctuary of GOD was dedicated anew with songs and music, and the people praised the GOD OF HEAVEN WHO had given them great victory. They celebrated the Dedication of the Altar for eight days, and there was great rejoicing among the people.

Moreover, Judah and his brethren, with the whole congregation of Israel ordained that the days of the Dedication of the Altar, the miracle of Chanukkah, should be celebrated, from year to year, for eight days in gladness and thanksgiving.

Thus, in Synagogues and homes, Chanukkah is principally observed by the lighting of candles set in an eight-branched Menorah to commemorate the Miracle and the Victory. It is significant that the eight candles of the Chanukkah Menorah are not lighted with a match but with the "Shammas." Then after the "SERVANT" has given its light to all the others it is put in a high place or a special place of honor in the Menorah. Do you not see in this action a beautiful picture of the only SERVANT (of GOD) WHO was exalted after HE had given HIS light to HIS people? In the words of Isaiah we find HIM described: "The REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, GOD'S HOLY ONE; the DESPISED ONE; HIM WHO is abhorred of nations; to the SERVANT of rulers: kings shall see and stand up; nobles, and they shall prostrate themselves — to the honor of the LORD, WHO is faithful, to the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL WHO chose you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Our most valuable possessions are things money cannot buy.

GOD'S PROMISES TO HIS PEOPLE
I will comfort you..."As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem ." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 66. 13]
I will strengthen you..."Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your GOD. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with MY righteous right hand." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 41. 10]
I will give you peace..."I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land." [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 6]
I will carry you..."Even to your old age, I am HE, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 46. 4]
I will listen to you..."Then you will call upon ME and go and pray to ME, and I will listen to you." [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 29. 12]
I will give you rest..."Come to ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." [Matthew 11. 28]
I will be with you..."Then the LORD said— Return! and I will be with you." [Genesis/Bereshith 31. 3]

Our GREAT & MERCIFUL LORD GOD does all these things for you because HE loves you so very much.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share wonderful holy-days together with friends and family. Our prayer, also, is that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.
Praise the LORD, to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. YOURS, O LORD is the greatness and the power, the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is YOURS; YOURS is the kingdom, O LORD, and YOU are exalted as head above all.
Our dear friends, we wish you a festive, warm, loving, blazingly bright, and happy Holy Days.
Rabbi Del & Rifkah
