A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Honor, worship and glorify YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, the BUILDER of the sky, the HANGER of the spheres, the MAKER of the wind and rain, the MASTER of the impossible.

CELEBRATING ONE HOPE
Obscure it was, a tiny town
and far away from here.
But a brightness shone
from heaven afar
to lead the wise men there.

Unnoticed by a struggling world,
a tiny BABE is wrapped.
A Mother sighs to hold HIM tight
against the chilling damp.

But up above the angels sing
to honor such a KING
WHO left HIS majesty on high
to save the wandering.

And lowly shepherds they did send
to gaze upon the CHILD
To see the power of MIGHTY GOD
wrapped humbly, meek and mild.

For just ahead ETERNAL HOPE
for them and us is laid,
Because upon a wooden cross
HIS life HE gave to save.

And at this wondrous CHRISTmas-time
our praises soar on high
For from the grave HE conquered death
and at our door is nigh.

Again, CHRISTmas is a reason
to open wide our hearts to HIM
For our ONE HOPE is JESUS CHRIST
WHO saves us from our sin.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
It’s the beginning of another wonderful Season — remembering our BLESSED SAVIOR coming into this world to save us…be sure to make it a joyous CHRIST-filled time!
JESUS came almost 2,000 years ago as a Lamb to die. A CHILD was born – perfect humanity. A SON was given – undiminished deity. JESUS is coming again as a LION to rule. And when HE does, the government will be upon HIS shoulder. That is, HE will reign in absolute authority. HE has been given names to indicate the character of that future reign:

WONDERFUL, because HE is so magnificent and amazing, really, there is no coined words that can fully describe HIM; COUNSELOR, because HE will govern with faultless discernibility; THE MIGHTY GOD, because HE will rule with absolute authority; EVERLASTING FATHER, because HE will possess endless longevity; PRINCE OF PEACE, because HIS Kingdom will be characterized by enduring tranquility. [The number 5 represents GRACE…grace is greater then all our sins, and seen in these names – HalleluYAH!] .

Praises YOU LORD, our KING, our GREAT GOD & GOD of our fathers, may our lives be a continual act of worship to YOU. Teach us to be satisfied with the gifts of YOUR goodness and gratefully rejoice in YOUR many mercies to us. Purify our hearts, make us zealous for YOUR Law that we may serve YOU in truth that brings rest and joy, peace and comfort throughout every generation. Guard our mouth that YOUR NAME be kept holy. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable to YOU, O LORD, my ROCK, my MIGHTY REFUGE and my REDEEMER. Amen!

Because JESUS came, there is an answer to our question; a solution to our problem; a hope for our end; HE is all these. Therefore, rejoice exceedingly in the eternal message. . . for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Draw me nearer to YOU, LORD YESHUA with the breath of love. Swiftly shall I come to stand within YOUR radiance that I may attain that sweetness of all intimacies!

BETHLEHEM’S BABE
"And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, least among the clans of Judah, from you ONE shall come forth to be the RULER in Israel for ME — ONE WHOSE origin is from old, from ancient times." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2 Tanakh, Nevi’im]
This explicit prophecy of the birth of the future KING OF ISRAEL in the little village of Bethlehem was nearly 700 years before YESHUA, the PROMISED ANOINTED ONE ultimately and remarkably came to earth. Then the ALMIGHTY WONDROUS LORD of all grace used the illustrious Emperor Augustus in Rome to make a decree for a census and taxation, compelling Joseph to take his espoused wife Miryam (Mary) to the little town of Bethlehem for her cHILD to be born there.
An actual birth is incredibly clear as the text uses the verbiage "come forth" along with the warning that GOD would "leave them helpless, until she who is to bear has given birth." [Micah (Michah) 5. 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im] SCRIPTURE also reveals: "they will strike the RULER OF ISRAEL (this SOON-RETURNING RIGHTEOUS JUDGE) on the cheek with a staff" [Micah/Michah 5. 1], speaking of both the rejection and the execution of MESSIAH YESHUA.
Furthermore, the prophecy not only foresees YESHUA’S birth in Bethlehem, HIS rejection and denial by HIS OWN people, and HIS eventual rule as SOVEREIGN KING over Israel and the whole world; but also that this same remarkable PERSON HIMSELF was GOD OMNIPOTENT! YESHUA had been "from everlasting. " HE is eternal proceeding from GOD THE FATHER. GOD, the ETERNAL WORD, JESUS the ANOINTED ONE, became GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON when HE was born in Bethlehem taking on human form to be the SAVIOR of mankind. HE had been coming forth eternally revealing the HEAVENLY FATHER. "No one has seen GOD at any time. The ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO is in the bosom of the FATHER, HE has declared HIM." [John 1. 18]
Another truth is obscurely disguised in the affirmation of "goings forth" which is also used for the flowing of water from a fountain or spring, the radiation from the sun, an issue, an export, a source. Thus, the never-ending flowing forth of power from the MAJESTIC & INEXPLICABLE CREATOR through the SON is nothing less than the sustaining energy for the whole of HIS creation as HE is "upholding all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER." [Hebrews 1. 3] Yes, this is THE BABE of Bethlehem... the GLORIOUS KING of the whole world.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
Our prayers that you know the ONE WHO gives perfect peace! May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. Also, that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others. Walk joyously and boldly in the light and warmth of ALMIGHTY GOD'S compelling love; and may the HOLY ONE, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, fill you with HIS wonderful peace and indescribable happiness.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Segregation is for people who are unworthy to enjoy the magnificent splendor of your company.

THREE BAPTISMS
"Therefore leaving the elementary principles of CHRIST, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward GOD, of the doctrine of baptismS." [Hebrews 6. 1 - 2]

There are three baptisms mentioned in HOLY SCRIPTURE and each is vitally important for the believer' s growth, for knowledge, and perfection. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is our "PERFECT EXAMPLE" of these:

WATER BAPTISM: The LORD YESHUA was baptized by John at the River Jordan. When John saw HIM, his reply was— "I need to be baptized by YOU, and are YOU coming to me? JESUS replied— Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.— Then John allowed HIM." [Matthew 3. 13 - 15]

Likewise, we who are in MESSIAH are "buried with HIM in baptism, in which you also were raised with HIM through faith in the working of GOD, who raised HIM from the dead." [Colossians 2. 12]

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: "Then JESUS, when HE had been baptized, came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to HIM, and HE saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove and alighting upon HIM." [Matthew 3. 16] Thus fulfilling Isaiah 11:2 — "I have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 1] "Then JESUS was led up by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil." [Matthew 4. 1]

In like manner, the HOLY SPIRIT in us becomes our STRENGTHENING ENABLER. "You shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT...you shall receive "power" when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to ME." [Acts 1. 5, 8] And, we can be MESSIAH' S witness to all men with a clear conscience, that we have obeyed HIS commands. We are enabled to do so, because...since the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT. . . we have the ENABLER working in us.

BAPTISM OF SUFFERING: MESSIAH YESHUA was talking with two of HIS disciples about their positions in HIS glory. YESHUA replied, "You do not know what you ask. Can you drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" [Mark 10. 38] The LORD YESHUA has previously been talking about HIS coming crucifixion. {MESSIAH’S Baptism of Suffering; see Mark 10. 32 – 44} The LORD JESUS assured them, "you will indeed drink MY cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with." [Matthew 20. 23] Then YESHUA warns of the costs of discipleship, "I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! " [Luke 12. 49 - 50] "There will not be peace on earth, but division." [Luke 12. 51] "Brother will deliver up brother to death, a father his child; children rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. A man's foes will be those of his own household." [Matthew 10. 21, 36] These are only a few examples of the believer' s baptism of fire.

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, fear HIM, WHO is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." [Matthew 10. 28] Be Wise! — understand what the will of the LORD is — "Only to do justice, and to love mercy, to walk humbly with and serve the LORD your GOD." [Micah (Michah) 6. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] It will be worth it all when we see CHRIST, the KING WHO served to save.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly. Our prayers, be’esrat ha’Shem — with the help of GOD — is that ALMIGHTY LORD GOD will cause the whole House of Israel, and the whole House of Judah to cling to HIM that they may become a people of GOD, for praise and for glory that all should fear and tremble at HIS PRESENCE and know that HE alone is the LOVING SOVEREIGN GOD.
Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and psalm, and bless and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE. . . holy is HE. Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give sanction to one another to bless the CREATOR. In tranquil joy of spirit, with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory.
May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout the week, and have a blessed and joyous CHRIST-filled Season!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Even when we cannot forget, remember to forgive. We are to pursue justice and to love mercy. . . then you will understand why mercy is the greater justice.

IT WAS A CROSS
"The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of GOD." [1 Corinthians 1. 18]

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA died on a cruel cross, not on a torture stake as some suggest or believe. Others hate the cross and the CHRIST of the Cross to the point they even deny HIM and the fact that it ever happened. "They are the enemies of the Cross of CHRIST." [Philippians 3. 18] From the beginning, when the ALMIGHTY ONE began to deal with man, the Cross has been there.

In the Garden of Eden "the LORD GOD caused to grow every tree that was pleasing to the sight and good for food, with the TREE OF LIFE in the middle of the Garden, and the TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD & EVIL." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 9 Tanakh, Torah] A tree with its branches grows up from earth into the heavens, and the boughs sprout and grow branching out in various directions — thus, a figure of the cross.

The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL gave Moses instructions for the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. The placement of the furniture for this Holy Structure resembled a cross. [Exodus/Shemot 25 - 30] The three doorways in the Tabernacle show the LORD YESHUA — WHO is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. We approach the fullness of spiritual life only through HIM.

The GATE (WAY) opened up to the court where were the Alter of Sacrifice and the Laver. The DOOR (TRUTH) entered into the ministering area where was the Golden Lampstand, the Table of Showbread, and the Altar of Incense. The VEIL (LIFE) was the entrance to the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant with its Mercy Seat were. In the arrangement of these pieces of furniture, the CROSS is formed.

Aaron and his sons preformed the duties of the priests. When they presented an offering before the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, the breast of the sacrifice was called the Wave Offering which was waved side-to-side; and the thigh of the sacrifice was known as the Heave Offering which is raised-and-lowered before the LORD GOD. [Exodus/Shemot 29. 26 - 27] These movements likewise demonstrate a Cross.

The CHRISTian' s cross is compared to MESSIAH' S cross in that it is a voluntary, self-sacrifice for the needs of others and "the offense of the Cross has ceased." [Galatians 5. 11] Daily we keep "looking unto JESUS, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith, WHO for the joy that was set before HIM endured the Cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the Throne of GOD." [Hebrews 12. 2]

Amazingly there is power that comes to us through suffering; and without the cross, we are nothing. Looking back on the beneficial effects of suffering, we should experience deep appreciation for the blessings of being in the hand of the LORD GOD, and be counted worthy. The FAITHFUL GIVER of every good gift distributes crowns for the crosses HE gives us for our profit, designed for each individually. And now the believer can say along with Paul, "I have been crucified with CHRIST; it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the SON OF GOD, WHO loved me and gave HIMSELF for me." [Galatians 2. 20]

Let us diligently guard our doctrine (and concepts) lest we make the Cross of the YESHUA ha'MASHIACH , our LOVING SAVIOR, of no effect by what we consider our "words of wisdom." This was the primary concern of Paul when he said, "for CHRIST did not send me to baptize, but to preach the GOSPEL; not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of cHRIST should be made of no effect." [1 Corinthians 1. 17] The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH redeemed us when HE stretched out HIS arms on that Rugged Cross, and died in our place.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow on us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU! Thank YOU LORD for saving my soul!
GOD’S great love for us is the reason for this Season. . . it is such a blessed time to remember just how great a gift GOD give us, another day to thank HIM for HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON the greatest BLESSING we will ever receive.
May the flame of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others this Holy Season and always.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When GOD wants to break a man’s heart, He gives him a lot of sense.

PRAISE & THANKS
"She (Leah) conceived again and bore a son, and declared— This time I will praise the LORD. —Therefore she named him Judah." [Genesis (Bereshith) 29. 35 Tanakh, Torah]

Judah, the fourth son of Jacob born from his first wife, Leah. The Hebrew word for Judah, "yadah" — is most often translated "praise, celebrate" — but even more frequently, it is translated "thank or thanks."

Although Ruben, Simeon and Levi were all older brothers of Judah, the Holy One of Israel chose Judah to be the father of the tribe through which Messiah YESHUA would come into the world. Whenever Leah spoke to her son, she would actually be saying, "Thanks! For this gift of a special son."

We also continually give thanks every day for that SPECIAL SON OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH. And as Judah later was willing to offer his own life for his brother, Benjamin [Genesis/Bereshith 43. 4], out of love for both his brothers and his father, so this distant GRANDSON of Judah was willing to lay down HIS OWN life to save those whom He was glad to call His brothers. [Hebrews 2. 11 - 12]

In the last reference to Judah in HOLY SCRIPTURES, this SON of Judah is called the "LION of the Tribe of Judah" WHO will one day be acknowledged as KING over all the earth. [Revelation 5. 5] The last mention of "thanks" in the HOLY WORD is when the elders of the church in heaven cry out saying: "We give You thanks, O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, the ONE WHO is and Who was and Who is to come, because YOU have taken Your great power and reigned. The nations were angry, and YOUR wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear YOUR NAME, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth." [Revelation 11. 17 - 18]

We have so much to be thankful for, but mostly we are thankful for the Son of God, our Blessed Creator, Loving Savior & Soon-Coming King.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
All goodness and truth are YOURS, YEHOWAH, O LORD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe. May no evil alienate us from YOU , nor error darken our vision of YOUR purposes. Help us to discern YOUR justice and to understand YOUR will. In adversity and in prosperity, let YOUR Law be a lamp to our feet to illumine our path. May we so labor in YOUR service that our lives become a hymn of praise to YOU. Amen
The SPECIAL GIFT of a SON was given to you and me — HIS NAME is JESUS, the greatly loved of the HEAVENLY FATHER. Such joy we have because of HIM this season and every day of our life.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Thanks be to GOD for HIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT — YESHUA. . . HE is too wonderful for words!

MY CHOSEN SERVANT
"For HE has said— It is too little a thing that YOU should be MY SERVANT to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel; I will also make YOU as a LIGHT to the nations, that YOU should be MY SALVATION to the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

In preparing to send the Promised MESSIAH to the earth bringing salvation to a world lost in sin, FATHER GOD spoke these words to HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON. Not only Israel would be restored as GOD’S elect nation, but also the Gentile nations would be reached and the GOOD NEWS spread throughout the world.

It was the old prophet, Simeon who referred to this prophecy when he took the infant YESHUA into his arms and declared, "LORD, now YOU are letting YOUR servant depart in peace, according to YOUR WORD; for my eyes have seen YOUR SALVATION which YOU have prepared before the face of all peoples, a LIGHT to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of YOUR people Israel." [Luke 2. 29 – 32; see also Isaiah 9. 2 — YESHUA is that LIGHT.]

The OLD COVENANT is replete with similar prophecies: "I, the LORD, have called YOU in righteousness, and will hold YOUR hand. I will keep YOU and give YOU as a COVENANT to the people, as a LIGHT to the Gentiles." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 6] "Arise, shine; for your LIGHT has come! The glory of the LORD has shone upon you. Behold! Darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and HIS PRESENCE will be seen over you. The Gentiles shall come to YOUR LIGHT, and kings to the brightness of YOUR rising." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 60. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Even the Magi who came to worship the CHILD in Bethlehem were prophesied about. "Kings shall tend your children, and queens shall serve you as nursing mothers. They shall bow to you, faces to the ground, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD — for those who wait for and trust in ME shall not be shamed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 23 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Preaching to the Gentiles, Paul boldly shared this truth. "For so the LORD has commanded us: —I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth." [Acts 13. 47] "This day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come — that the CHRIST would suffer, that HE would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles." [Acts 26. 22 - 23]

The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH not only enlightens both Jew and Gentile, but HE is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD WHO has come that we might have life and that more abundantly. That PROMISED ONE is with us, even to the ends of the world.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May our lips ever declare praises the LORD JESUS our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us.
Our prayer for each of you is for mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance from our WONDERFUL REDEEMER. Remember GOD’S rich blessings as you share wonderful holy-days together with friends and family. Happy Christmas!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who has no fire in himself cannot warm others.

MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS
Although no one knows exactly the date of YESHUA'S birth, we can be certain that there must first be a conception before a birth. When ALMIGHTY INFINITE GOD promises that the "almah (engaged virgin)" shall conceive and bear a CHILD (in connection with the very first promise of a coming REDEEMER — the woman's SEED), HE is referring to a MIRACLE. It is not the birth of Messiah, GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, but HIS conception that is the miracle.

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and hers; HE shall crush your head, and you shall strike HIS heel." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 15 Tanakh, Torah] This text is the first of three direct references to the "miracle conception" of MESSIAH YESHUA in the TANAKH (OLD COVENANT) which states that the REDEEMER would be "her SEED." No woman has seed. . . it is only the man who has seed ("the seed of Abraham" ).

The next promise of the miracle conception tells of the ETERNAL ONE giving A SIGN (Hebrew: 'owth), a miracle or a proof that will come to Israel. This miracle is that the virgin, without the aid of a man, shall conceive and bear a CHILD. "Assuredly, my LORD will give you a sign of HIS OWN accord! Look, a virgin is with CHILD and about to give birth to a SON, and shall call HIS NAME IMMANU'EL. " [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 7. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Then we read of the miracle the LORD HIMSELF will perform: "For the LORD has created something new on earth — a woman shall encompass a MIGHTY MAN." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Hebrew word for compass is "savav" meaning "to go about, to encompass, to alter, change, surround, enclose." However, in this verse, the word is "encompass (Hebrew: tesovav)" which makes the tense future. Therefore, the Prophet Jeremiah was really saying that the LORD, in the future, will create a new thing in the land (earth) — never done before (and it is the LORD only WHO creates). Jeremiah was implying that the OMNIPOTENT MASTER CREATOR will cause a woman to alter the natural course of generation by "conceiving SEED" without the man and that she will bear a MAN (Hebrew: geber) a "MIGHTY MAN" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6 — "HIS NAME will be called THE MIGHTY GOD"], a WARRIOR, a VALIANT MAN WHO is the LORD & SAVIOR, Yeshua ha'Mashiach!

"Now the birth of MESSIAH YESHUA was as follows: After HIS mother Miryam (Mary) was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with CHILD of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Matthew 1. 18] Before this verse, it is recorded that the MAN begot. . . but now the wording changes; birth, beginning, to beget refers to the conception. Then, we read that OMNIPOTENT GOD created the SEED which was miraculously planted in her womb, "for that which is conceived in her is of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Matthew 1. 20] With GOD, the HIGH & LOFTY OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, all things are possible! How wonderful and profound are the treasures our wonderful LOVING LORD GOD has in store for those who serve HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May we be witnesses of the God'S care, love, and glorious presence through the days ahead. Enter each day with joy in our hearts and confidence that SOVEREIGN KING rules and reigns. And, because of HIS great mercy, HE will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed and depraved world around us — our IMMANU’EL, the ANOINTED ONE OF GOD is with us! My soul will continually bless the MOST HOLY LORD God for HE alone is worthy of all praise, reverence and exaltation.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Grace gives us a second chance to do what we should have done the first time.

ROCK OF OFFENSE
"Give glory to the LORD ELOHIYM (your GOD) before HE brings darkness, before your feet stumble upon the mountain in dark shadows — when you hope for light, HE turns it into the shadow of death and makes it gross darkness and deep gloom." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 13. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The figurative representations of MESSIAH YESHUA as the FOUNDATION ROCK of the great spiritual HOUSE OF GOD [Matthew 16. 18; Ephesians 2. 20; 1 Peter 2. 6] and also as the water-yielding ROCK OF SUSTENANCE in the wilderness [1 Corinthians 10. 4] are two of the great symbols of the HOLY SCRIPTURES.

For those who reject YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, HE becomes "a STONE OF STUMBLING men strike against; a ROCK OF OFFENSE to both the Houses of Israel , a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem . And many among them shall stumble thereon; and they shall fall and be broken, shall be snared and taken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 8. 14 - 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Not only will the STONE cause such a one to stumble, but as JESUS said — "whosoever shall fall on this STONE will be broken; but on whomsoever it falls, it will grind him to powder." [Matthew 21. 44] This figure is taken from the fall of the great image in Nebuchadnezzar&# 39;s dream. "As you looked on, a STONE was hewn out, not by hands, which struck the statue on his feet of iron and clay and crushed them." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All the kingdoms of the world were represented in the image; but "THE STONE that struck the image became a GREAT MOUNTAIN and filled the whole earth." [Daniel/Danyel 3. 35]

"To you who believe, HE is precious; but to those who are disobedient, the STONE which the builders disallowed and rejected, the same is made the head of the corner; and a STONE OF STUMBLING, and a ROCK OF OFFENSE. They stumble at the WORD, being disobedient, to which they also were appointed." [1 Peter 2. 7 - 8]

The STONE OF STUMBLING, LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, is THE WORD and, it is seriously dangerous to stumble over the HOLY SCRIPTURES. One should give glory to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN before darkness falls and you stumble on the dark mountain in the shadow of death. May we seek understanding lest we stumble and are crushed.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
DEAR BLESSED SAVIOR, I dare not start the day without first communing in prayer with YOU. Thanking YOU for this new day of promise to do some good deed for others. Strengthen me to lend a hand where needed; to teach others how to be brave and forgiving; forbid that I should ever judge another or hold a grudge or prove myself shallow or vain, or through some thoughtless act, cause pain or shame YOUR HOLY NAME. Keep me humble, kind and sincere; drive from my heart all doubt and fear. And, should joy or sorrow come, grant me wisdom, LORD, to see and understand that it is from YOUR hand and that YOUR great love abides still lest I forget to seek YOUR face. Remind me often that I am weak, walk close beside me all the way. This is my prayer, my petition today and forever. So I thank YOU, LORD GOD for YOUR great mercies and for YOUR salvation and the hope we have in YOU alone. Amen!
Wishing each of you our warmest Christmas blessings! Keep KING YESHUA the center of your focus every day.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A king of flesh and blood stamps his image on a coin, hence all coins look and are alike; but the KING of kings has stamped everyman with the seal of the first man, yet no man is like any other. [MISHNA 4. 5]

BLESSED WALK
"Happy and blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the wicked, or taken the path of the sinners, or joined the company of the insolent; but rather, the Teachings of the LORD is his delight, and he studies and recites that teaching day and night. He is like a tree planted beside streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, whose foliage never fades; and whatever he does, he prospers." [Psalms (Tehillym) 1. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

A good illustration of an empty experience is self-centeredness. The world seeks happiness, but the only happiness it finds is brief as real joy cannot be found. Joy, however, transcends the circumstances; it is a happiness which has its source in things the world can not offer. GOD'S WRITTEN WORD, the SACRED SCRIPTURES, give us directions and highly endorsed instructions for obtaining this joy.

Various man-made religions teach that GOD'S Law is bondage. HOLY SCRIPTURES tell it differently — it is the only SOURCE of great joy. Only the WORD OF GOD can really gratify us, filling our very soul!

Our GRACIOUS HEAVENLY FATHER gives many teachings to HIS children for their own good, worth, advantage, moral integrity and discipline. "Know in your heart that the LORD your GOD disciplines you just as a man disciplines his son. Therefore, keep the commandments of the LORD your GOD; walk in HIS ways and revere HIM." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 8. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Torah] "For whom the LORD loves HE chastens, and scourges every son whom HE receives." [Hebrews 12. 6] "Do not reject the discipline of YEHOWAH, my son; Do not abhor HIS rebuke. For whom YEHOWAH loves, HE rebukes, as a father the son whom he favors and delights." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 11 – 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Today, society is finding out the hard way that the rules of conduct laid down in GOD'S TRUTH are not to take away our fun, but are there for our own benefit. "Seek the favor of the LORD and HE will grant you the desires of your heart." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Unmistakably, as we delight ourselves in HIM, the desires of our heart will be changed. "In HIS PRESENCE is fullness and joy. In HIS right hand there are pleasures forever more." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Torah] We can have the DELIGHT of our life, the LORD JESUS, in our lives now and for all eternity.

"How precious is YOUR faithful care, O GOD! Mankind shelters in the shadow of YOUR wings. They feast on the rich fare of YOUR house; YOU let them drink at YOUR refreshing stream." [Psalms (Tehillym) 36. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Torah] There is great contentment, pleasure, and indescribable joy in knowing YESHUA ha’MASHIACH as your LORD & SAVIOR, and a peace you cannot know without HIM.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! The unique status of Shabbat is demonstrated by its being the only one of the holy days to be mentioned in the Ten Commandments. Shabbat observance involves both positive and negative mitzvoth — doing and refraining from doing. Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest.
Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Please, O LORD give us strong souls because of YOUR commandments, especially that of the holy Sabbath, the day that is great and sacred before YOU. May we have our rest on this day, in loving harmony with YOUR will. We ask YOUR favor in granting us rest that is not disturbed, without grief or sorrow. O GOD, let us see the comforting of Zion, the rebuilding of YOUR Holy City Jerusalem. For all this, O LORD our GOD, we thank and bless YOU. May YOUR NAME be ever blessed Amen
Enjoy a precious day of rest with your family and friends as you rejoice in this special Christmas Season.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A thousand candles light the earth announcing the SAVIOR'S birth. A thousand universes sing, the coming of our MESSIAH, LORD & KING.

TWO BABES IN A MANGER
In 1994, two Americans answered an invitation from the Russian Department of Education to teach morals and ethics (based on BIBLICAL principles) in the public schools. They were invited to teach at prisons, businesses, the fire and police departments and a large orphanage. About 100 boys and girls, who had been abandoned, abused, and left in the care of a government-run program were in the orphanage.

They relate the following story in their own words: It was nearing the holiday season, time for our orphans to hear, for the first time, the traditional Story of CHRISTmas. We told them about Mary and Joseph arriving in Bethlehem. Finding no room in the inn, the couple went to a stable, where the BABY JESUS, Immanu’El, was born and placed in a manger.

Throughout the story, the children and orphanage staff sat in amazement as they listened. Some sat on the edges of their stools, trying to grasp every word. Completing the story, we gave the children three small pieces of cardboard to make a crude manger. Each child was given a small paper square, cut from yellow napkins I had brought with me. No colored paper was available in the city. Following instructions, the children tore the paper and carefully laid strips in the manger for straw. Small squares of flannel (cut from a worn-out nightgown an American lady was throwing away as she left Russia), were used for the baby's blanket.

A doll-like baby was cut from tan felt we had brought from the United States. The orphans were busy assembling their manger as I walked among them to see if they needed any help. All went well until I got to one table where little Misha sat. He looked to be about 6-years-old and had finished his project. As I looked at the little boy's manger, was startled to see not one, but two babies in the manger. Quickly, I called for the translator to ask the lad why there were two babies in the manger.

Crossing his arms in front of him and looking at this completed manger scene, the child began to repeat the story very seriously. For such a young boy, who had only heard the CHRISTmas Story once, he related the happenings accurately — until he came to the part where Mary put the BABY JESUS in the manger. Then Misha started to ad-lib, he made up his own ending to the story as he said: "And when Mary laid the BABY in the manger, JESUS looked at me and asked me if I had a place to stay. I told HIM— "I have no Mamma and I have no Papa, so I don't have any place to stay." Then JESUS told me I could stay with HIM. But I told HIM I couldn't because I didn't have a gift to give HIM like everybody else did. But I wanted to stay with JESUS so much, so I thought about what I had that maybe I could use for a gift. I thought maybe if I kept HIM warm, that would be a good gift. So I asked JESUS, "If I keep YOU warm, will that be a good enough gift?" And JESUS told me— "If you keep ME warm, that will be the best gift anybody ever gave ME."

So I got into the manger, and then JESUS looked at me and HE told me I could stay with HIM — for always.

As little Misha finished his story, his eyes brimmed full of tears that splashed down his little cheeks. Putting his hand over his face, his head dropped to the table and his shoulders shook as he sobbed and sobbed. The little orphan had found someONE WHO would never abandon nor abuse him, someONE WHO would stay with him — for always!

And the Americans? They had learned the lesson they had come there to teach — that it is not what you have in your life, but WHO you have in your life that really counts. We all should give thanks for the people that "keep us warm" in life; and for all of GOD'S many blessings to us: Freedom from want, love, life eternal, togetherness, and the enduring love of JESUS CHRIST, the ONE PERSON WHO keeps us warm and safe always. [Author Unknown]

"I, the LORD, in MY grace, have called you in righteousness, and I have held you by the hand. I created you and appointed you a covenant people, for a light of the nations." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Walk joyously in the light and warmth of ALMIGHTY GOD'S love. And may the HOLY ONE fill you with peace and happiness this CHRISTmas Season.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly.
Help us, O our GOD, to banish from our hearts all pride and vain-glory, all confidence in worldly possessions, all self-sufficient leaning upon our own reason. Fill us with the spirit of meekness and the grace of modesty, that we may become wise in the fear of YOU. May we never forget that all we have and prize is but lent to us, a trust for which we must render account to YOU. O HEAVENLY FATHER , put into our hearts the love and fear of YOU, that we my consecrate our lives to YOUR service and glorify YOUR NAME in the eyes of all men.
May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout the week. Have a joyous & peace-filled CHRISTmas! Remember always the HOLY ONE WHOM we celebrate and adore this special SeaSON!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The yoke of GOD can never fit the stiff necked.

BEARING OUR OWN BURDEN
"But let every man prove his own work and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden (responsibility) ." [Galatians 6. 4 - 5]

Every CHRISTian will bear before ALMIGHTY GOD the responsibility of his own personal life of service. How well did he do the will of GOD? How well did he serve his LORD? "But let every man prove his own work. For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of CHRIST; that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad." [2 Corinthians 5. 10] "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 12] When we stand before the LORD YESHUA, our MAKER, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, we will give an account of our own work, not someone else's. Every man shall bear his own burden (responsibility) .

The burden (steadfast commitment, responsibility) we must bear before ALMIGHTY GOD is the yoke of service and obedience to MESSIAH YESHUA. "Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME...for MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light." [Matthew 11. 29 - 30] The yoke is not too heavy to carry because it is founded on love and provides a clear conscience before ALMIGHTY GOD.

In fact, the yokes of Satan are exceedingly heavier and difficult, by far, for they are filled with guilt of conscience and anguish of soul. The weighty sins of the world are heavier to bear then than anything the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would ask HIS precious child to shoulder. The words "easy" and "light" expressively describe this fact. What OMNIPOTENT GOD of creation calls HIS chosen ones to do, he can do because he is yoked to the ROCK OF OUR SALVATION, CHRIST JESUS. "Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well-pleasing to HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 9]

"Each man's work will become manifest; for The Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test every man's work, of what sort it is. If any man's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians 3. 13 - 15] As we bear our burden faithfully and patiently, we definitely are being refined, polished and purified. . . and by HIS grace, made into HIS glorious likeness.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Tomorrow is a fast day in Judiasm called Asarah be’Tevet — the 10th day of the Hebrew month, Tevet. It is one of the minor fasts observed from before dawn to nightfall. The fast commemorates the siege of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylonia – an event that began on that date and ultimately culminated in the destruction of Solomon’s Temple (the 1st Temple) and the conquest of the Kingdom of Judah (today’s Southern Israel).
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In creative work, never consider quantity. The Book of Obadiah consists of one chapter, yet it found its place in the BIBLE. [-Chaim Nahman Bialik]

ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
"The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 32. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

This blessed assurance is forever along with true peace of soul and quietness of spirit, which are products of the "work of righteousness. " We are instructed— "Sow righteousness for yourselves; reap the fruits of mercy; precociously (intelligently, wisely) break for yourselves fresh ground of seeking the LORD, till HE comes and rains fruits of righteousness on you." [Hosea (Hoshea) 32. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

The NEW COVENANT exposition of genuine righteousness makes it clear that we who have received MESSIAH’S work of righteousness by faith have "become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 21] "To him who does not work but believes on HIM WHO justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness. " [Romans 4. 5]

This, salvation is the priceless possession of those to whom the LORD YESHUA’S work of righteousness bas been imputed through faith. Quietness and peace of heart, is experienced only by saved believers who practice the work of righteousness in their daily walk with the LORD. If we truly have salvation, then we ought to manifest the things that accompany salvation — "for GOD is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward HIS NAME...And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end...imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises." [Hebrews 6. 9 - 12]

Indeed, we can know that we are saved simply through faith in HIS work and HIS WORD — "These things I have written to you who believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 13] "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians 2. 8]

Nevertheless, to know that one’s faith itself is genuine, evidence is needed in our daily life. "If indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the HOPE OF THE GOSPEL which you heard." [Colossians 1. 23] GOD has given us this test of faith, "Now by this we know that we know HIM, if we keep HIS commandments. " [1 John 2. 3]

We definitely have blessed assurance of salvation and a foretaste of glory divine when we have JESUS, the SOVEREIGN LORD OF THE UNIVERSE. HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
JESUS...Greetings in HIS INIMITABLE NAME! "When the time had fully come, GOD sent HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, born of a woman, born under the Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons." [Galatians 4:4-5] The SAVIOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL came. . . blessed be HE!
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Post  Admin Wed 11 Dec 2013, 8:57 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH is not valued at all unless HE is valued above all.

SING TO THE LORD
"Sing to the LORD a new song, HIS praise from the ends of the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 10a Tanakh, Nevi’im]

HOLY SCRIPTURE richly abounds with singing praises to the MAGNIFICENT CREATOR, the first mention of a new song is probably when the angels sang at the time the ALL-WISE MASTER laid the corner stone of the earth, "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of GOD shouted for joy!" [Job (Iyob) 38. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Psalms extol the WORD OF THE LORD GOD and HIS handiwork, "Sing to HIM a new song...For the WORD OF THE LORD is right; HIS work is done in truth. HE loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made, by the breath of HIS mouth, all their host." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 3 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The work of HIS hands were reasons for a new song to be sung, "Sing to the LORD a new song, for HE has done marvelous things; HIS right hand and HIS holy arm have won HIM victory." [Psalms (Tehillym) 98. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

A new song is placed prophetically on the lips of YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE, corresponding to HIS thoughts on the Cross of Calvary after HIS sufferings were finished and HE had paid the price for our redemption from all our sins. "HE lifted ME out of a miry pit...HE put a new song into my mouth — even praise to our GOD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

There is new song mentioning the spreading of the GOOD NEWS: "Sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless HIS NAME. Proclaim the GOOD NEWS of HIS salvation from day to day. Declare HIS glory among the nations, HIS wonders deeds among all peoples." [Psalms (Tehillym) 96. 1 – 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Another text focuses on the RISEN ONE’S soon-coming as KING over the whole earth: "Oh ELOHIYM, I will sing YOU a new song, sing a hymn to YOU WHO gives victory to kings." [Psalms (Tehillym) 144. 9 – 10a Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Finally, there are two new songs that all the redeemed of the LORD will sing, "They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth." [Revelation 14. 3] We will all sing, "YOU are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for YOU were slain, and have redeemed us to GOD by YOUR blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us a kingdom of priests to our GOD and we shall reign on the earth." [Revelation 5. 9 - 10]

Sing and give praises to the LORD GOD MOST HIGH for HIS wondrous deeds, give HIM glory!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world HE created. May Your will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed, MOST HOLY ONE, in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in our time, Amen. May YOU be blessed forever, even throughout all eternity. May YOU, be blessed, praised & honored, extolled & glorified, adored and exalted above all else. Amen
Zey ha-yom asaw Adonai, nagilah ve-neesmechah voh. . .This is the day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and we will be glad in it.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person who aims at nothing has a target he cannot miss.

BLOOMING RODS
"The WORD OF THE LORD came to me— What do you see, Jeremiah? I replied— I see a branch of an almond tree (Hebrew: shaqed). The LORD said to me: You have seen right, for I am watchful (Hebrew shoqed — also means to hasten) to bring MY WORD to pass." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 1. 11 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Jeremiah saw a branch of an almond tree budding, this was a sign that the RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD was ready to judge Israel for her idolatrous ways. The ETERNAL ONE told Jeremiah, "The iniquity of the House of Israel and Judah is exceedingly very great, the land is full of crime and bloodshed, the city full of corruption and perversity. For they say— The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see! —I, in turn, will show no pity or compassion; I will give them their requital for their deeds." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 9. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Thus says the LORD GOD— Disaster after disaster is coming! Here is the day! See, the cycle has come round; it has appeared. The rod has blossomed; arrogance has budded, lawlessness has grown into a rod of wickedness. Nothing comes of them, nor of their abundance, nor of their wealth; nor is there preeminence among them. The time has come, the day draws near." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 7. 5, 10 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The "blossomed rod" was the sign showing the arrogant pride of the people who had thought they were well set and nothing could touch or harm them. Although the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL had given plenty of warnings regarding the downfall of Jerusalem and Judah, and now the day has come . . .destruction and wrath on the whole multitude of people and the hand of the LORD OF HOSTS is doing the striking.

"The end is near, doom is coming! The hour of doom is coming! It stirs against you; there it comes! Doom has gone out; the rod has blossomed, pride has budded. There is panic on the mountains, not joy. Very soon I will pour out My wrath upon you and spend MY anger on you; I will judge you according to your ways, and I will requite you for all your abominations. I will show you no pity and no compassion; but I will requite you for your ways, and for the abominations in your midst. And you shall know it was I the LORD WHO punished." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 7. 6 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Previously the children of Israel had quarreled in regards to the ways and will of the LORD GOD, and he had a man of each tribe present his rod so the SOVEREIGN LOVING CREATOR could show HIS choice of men by causing the rod of that man too blossom. "Moses deposited the twelve staffs before the LORD in the Tent of Witness; and the staff of Aaron was among them. The next day that Moses entered the Tent of Witness, and there the staff of Aaron of the house of Levi had sprouted: it brought forth buds, produced blossoms, and yielded ripe almonds...The LORD said to Moses— Put Aaron's staff back before the TESTIMONY OF WITNESS, to be kept as a sign to rebels, so that their murmurings against ME may cease, lest they die." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 17. 6 -8, 10 Tanakh, Torah]

There will be another blossoming and budding on a grander scale that all who remain faithful to EMINENT & EXALTED LORD will see with their own eyes and experience in abundance: "In days to come Jacob shall strike root; Israel shall blossom and bud and the face of the world shall be covered with fruit. The arid desert shall be glad, the wilderness and the wasteland shall rejoice and shall blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, it shall also exult and shout." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 27. 6; 35. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Will you be among those who walk humbly with the LORD in service for the WORD OF GOD and the TESTIMONY OF JESUS striving to build the Kingdom who will hear the words, "Come you blessed of MY FATHER, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, because...in as much as you did it to one of the least of these MY brethren, you did it to ME." [Matthew 25. 1 - 40]

Or will you be among those who in rebellion and pride strive to exalt yourself like Korah (who challenged Moses & Aaron's authority, Numbers/B' Midvar 16) who will hear the words, "Depart from ME you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels, because...in as much as you did it not unto one of the least of these, you did it not unto ME." [Matthew 25. 41 - 46] Beyond doubt, and the time is soon-coming, when all shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of YEHOWAH. Are you ready?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD GOD, keep our tongue from evil and our lips from speaking guile. Be our support when grief silences our voice, and our comfort when woe bends our spirits. Implant humility in our soul and strengthen our heart with perfect faith in YOU. Help us to be strong in temptation and trial and to be patient and forgiving when others wrong us. Guide us, by the LIGHT of YOUR counsel that we may ever find strength in YOU, our ROCK and our REDEEMER. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We were called to be witnesses — not lawyers or judges.

SPOILING SCRIPTURE
"You shall not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it, but keep the commandments of the LORD your GOD that I enjoin upon you...Be careful to observe only that which I enjoin upon you; neither add to it nor take away from it." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 2; 12. 32 Tanakh, Torah]

Only an absolute fool thinks he or she has received some "new inspired word from GOD." Nevertheless, there are an assortment of diverse cults who proclaim such, and many others who thoughtlessly follow the leaders of these religiously impious groups. These false prophets, cult leaders, continue to presumptuously explain away those BIBLE verses that they consider offensive, irrelevant, unimportant, or intolerable. There is a hell to shun, and those who teach and lead others are in danger of a stricter judgment and an even more severe punishment. [James 3. 1] "For we know HIM WHO said— Vengeance is MINE; I will repay —says the LORD. And again— the LORD will judge HIS people." [Hebrews 10. 30]

The HOLY BIBLE is the inerrant, understandable, inspired WORD OF THE LORD GOD. It is dangerous to impose some figurative meaning on a passage of these INSPIRED SCRIPTURES to distort, or redefine it to our liking "handling the WORD OF GOD deceitfully. " [2 Corinthians 4. 2]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, HIMSELF gives a final warning to anyone who would subtract, add to, change, or revise HIS HOLY WORDS OF TRUTH in any form. "For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this BOOK: If anyone adds to these things, GOD will add to him the plagues that are written in this BOOK. If anyone takes away from the words of the BOOK of this prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this BOOK." [Revelation 22. 18 - 19] Whatever the LOVING, HOLY, UNCHANGING CREATOR does, it is so that men will fear HIM. [Ecclesiastes/ Kohelet 3. 14]

No new revelation is needed, the WRITTEN SCRIPTURE OF GOD is more than enough for our salvation. These WORDS OF LIFE "are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS. All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 15 - 17] As it was written, so should we do!
Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, we share the blessed hope that, in YESHUA, every day will be as sweet as Shabbat — a rest of love freely given in truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD YESHUA! Seek the LORD while HE may be found, call upon HIM while HE is near. Diligently obey the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, incline your ear to the MASTER and you will live..
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel, Amen.
Have a wonderful week, may gladness reign and joy increase and be overflowing with blessings.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's way leads to a hopeless end . . .GOD'S way leads to an Endless Hope.

RAM'S SKINS DYED RED
"Make for the tent a covering of Tanned Ram Skins dyed red." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 14 Tanakh, Torah]

This is the third covering for the Tabernacle. The Rams' Skins Dyed Red was to cover the Ohel (the Wilderness Tent), the black goats' hair canvas. The blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST (red) blots out the blackness of sin (the goat).

The ram is the animal representing substitution and provision in HOLY SCRIPTURE. "YEHOWAH YIREH — The LORD will see and provide" is the name OMNIPOTENT GOD first used in the instance when there was a substitute of a ram for Isaac. [Genesis/Bereshith 22. 13 – 14] Isaac would live because a ram would die in his place.

The ram is also the animal used for the consecration of the priesthood. When Aaron and his sons were set apart for their office, a ram was slain for them and its blood applied. [Leviticus/Vayikra 8. 22- 24] This skin is a symbol indicating the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH and HIS consecration to the work of the ministry. CHRIST JESUS, the PERFECT SACRIFICE humbled HIMSELF and became obedient to the FATHER, even to the death on the Cross. YESHUA, the WORD MADE FLESH said, "I delight to do YOUR will, O GOD; not MY will, but YOURS" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 50. 5 - 7; Luke 22. 39 - 46] . . .this was HIS consecration. YESHUA, the HOPE OF ISRAEL, was a SUBSTITUTE for many, for who-so-ever will come and receive of HIS life. MESSIAH YESHUA is the RAM of Consecration, Provision & Substitution.

The skin of the ram was beautiful, but it could not be seen on the outside or the inside of the building. It was hidden by the other coverings, and there were no dimensions given for this skin. Only the HEAVENLY FATHER saw the complete consecration and obedience of MESSIAH YESHUA to the DIVINE will. We cannot fathom the depths of love in the consecration and death of the LORD YESHUA; neither can we limit the blood. [Psalm/Tehillym 40. 6 - 9; Hebrews 10. 4 - 9]

The MAN OF SORROWS was THE LAMB. . . meek, lowly and submissive to the FATHER'S will. At the same time, YESHUA was a RAM; vigorous, strong, and determined to do the FATHER'S will. [John 4. 34; 6. 38; 8. 29; 18. 5, 6, 11; Luke 9. 51] Those who believe in LORD JESUS CHRIST are the "sheep of HIS pasture" and should be as the RAM in their consecration to follow HIM WHO is the HOLY ONE, the MESSIAH, the HIGH & EXALTED REDEEMER. [Romans 8. 35; 12. 1; 1 Corinthians 6. 19 - 20; 9. 26 - 27; Acts 20. 24; Philippians 3. 8; Hebrews 12. 1] Our heart's cry should also be, "I delight to do YOUR will, O GOD; YOUR will, not mine" — and continually delight in the Law and the HOLY WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honor and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GREAT GOD! When the invisible hand of our MAGNIFICENTLY WONDERFUL OMNIPOTENT GOD guides our lives and we are more then blessed, as we live each moment for HIS glory and praise. Be enveloped in HIS riches this Sabbath in peace and harmony as you glorify and praise our MIGHTY KING.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE. Praised be HIS NAME WHOSE glorious Kingdom is forever and ever. Eternal truth it is that HE alone is GOD, and there is none else. YOUR love has watched over us in the night of oppression; YOUR mercy has sustained us in the hour of trial. May YOUR Law rule the life of all YOUR children and YOUR truth unite our hearts in fellowship. Praise to YOU, O LORD, our BLESSED REDEEMER.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Be equally conscientious in small teachings as in great precepts, for you know not their individual rewards.

FLEE FROM WRATH
"But when he (John the Baptizer) saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them — Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" [Matthew 3. 7]

There are times to stand and there are times to flee. There are some things so fearful and deadly that it is foolish to try and face them at all. The only rational course, when confronted by them, is to flee!

The most obvious is to flee from the wrath of GOD for His judgment is terrible and eternal. Therefore, His message to all unsaved men and women is to "flee from the wrath that is to come." The only way to flee from the wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD, is to run to MESSIAH YESHUA and receive HIM as your SAVIOR & LORD for He is the ONLY Way of salvation.

It is good and wise to refrain from all kinds of sin, but certain sins have deadly consequences even in this present life and Scriptures warn us to flee from them. "But you, O man of GOD, flee these things...the love of money" and those who suppose godliness is a means of gain. Apostle Paul says, those who desire to be rich "fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." [1 Timothy 6. 10, 5, 9] Therefore, flee from this temptation!

We are to "flee from idolatry" [1 Corinthians 10. 14] to be precise — any form of worshipping and serving any part of the creation or any pretentious man-made god. But, "revere only the LORD your GOD and worship Him alone." Keep in mind what Holy Scripture makes known, "Rebellion is like the sin of divination (witchcraft) , defiance (stubbornness) , like the iniquity of teraphim (idolatry)." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 15. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Also, we are to "flee fornication (sexual immorality). " [1 Corinthians 6. 18] This is a deadly danger to the Christian in these days of living in a depraved, corrupt, wicked, and morally bankrupt society. "Flee youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, charity (love), and peace with those who call on the LORD out of a pure heart." [2 Timothy 2. 22] "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." [Revelation 21. 8]

In like manner, young and old believers alike need this warning and diligently bear fruits worthy of repentance. If we call on the LORD Yeshua ha'Mashiach with a pure heart, we will be excluded from Almighty GOD'S wrath that is coming upon the world. We desperately need JESUS!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May YOUR will, O MOST HIGH LORD be fulfilled and Your sovereignty revealed in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel. We solemnly thank and praise You for the treasures of your wisdom, knowledge, righteousness and peace. We honor YOU as our LAWGIVER and the GREATEST LOVER of our soul.
May we each be living temples made ready for the KING OF GLORY to return for those HE redeemed.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
For the bad we do, take responsibility. For the good we achieve, thank ALMIGHTY GOD. When you act harshly, weep; but when you have success, ascribe it to GOD. That is how we should live!

POWERFUL & MAJESTIC VOICE
"The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; YEHOWAH is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic." [Psalms (Tehillym) 29. 3 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This Psalm repeats the phrase, "The voice of God" seven times and is especially centered on the awful judgment of the Great Flood in the days of Noah. It occurs many other times in the OLD COVENANT as well, with a wide variety of applications and circumstances.

The first time "voice" occurs in HOLY SCRIPTURE is in the Garden of Eden immediately after man brought sin into the world. "And they heard the voice of YEHOWAH ELOHIYM walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of YEHOWAH ELOHIYM among the trees of the garden. Then the YEHOWAH ELOHIYM called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" So he said— "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 8 – 10 Tanakh, Torah] This specifically reveals that it is GOD’S Voice — not man’s — which we must hear and obey if we seek guidance for life.

Mankind is lost and separated from the HOLY GOD, but HE continually calls to each of us, just as he did to Adam, and we desperately need to hear HIS Voice if we are to live eternally and our lives be fulfilled and spiritually fruitful.

In contrast to this scene of alienation (separation) , the final occurrence of a "voice" is the wonderful scene of reconciliation (bringing together) when the ALMIGHTY again speaks to lost mankind, this time in glorious restoration (renewal) of that broken fellowship. "Then I, John, saw the Holy City , New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud VOICE from heaven saying, "Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people. GOD HIMSELF will be with them and be their GOD. And GOD will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." [Revelation 21. 2 - 4]

To hear the Voice of ALMIGHTY GOD then, however, we must first hear HIS Voice now, through HIS WORD. MESSIAH YESHUA said— "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears MY WORD and believes in Him who sent ME has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the Voice of the Son of GOD; and those who hear will live." [John 5. 24 - 25] The HEAVENLY FATHER granted JESUS full authority to execute judgment because HE is the Son of Man.

"Follow none but the Lord your God and revere none but Him, keep His commandments and obey His voice; worship none but Him and hold fast to HIM...When you are distressed and all these things come upon you in the latter days, return to the Lord your God and obey His voice. For the Lord your God is a merciful God, He will not forsake you nor will HE let you perish; HE will not forget the covenant which HE made on oath with your fathers." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 4 – 5 & 4. 30 – 31 Tanakh, Torah] It is such a gift and a privilege to serve the ONE who faithfully continues to call. Please listen to that voice and be quick to answer and obey.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
The 8th Light is the Light of Courage. Let truth and justice be your armor and fear not, the ALMIGHTY ONE is with you.
As we celebrate the last night (evening-to- evening) of Chanukkah, our prayer for each of you is to be strong and of good courage; be bold as you proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Salvation to all. The light of the menorah burning far longer than natural law would allow serves as an everlasting reminder that by infusing every area of life with purpose and holiness celebrate GOD’S miracles of victory, provision, dedication, and light.
Blessed are YOU, O GOD, our salvation and our help. Everything that lives shall give thanks to YOU forever and shall praise YOUR NAME in truth. YOUR NAME is ALL-GOOD, and unto WHOM it is becoming to give thanks. So we thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for YOUR WRITTEN WORD, it is our exceedingly great joy and our life-giving crown. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect peace. Amen
Go with GOD! The LORD bless and keep you throughout the coming days!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Each Hebrew word has a deep meaning. There are a total of 14-joints on the hand which is the Gematria (numerical value) of the word Hebrew word "Yad" which means "hand." When two hands come together there is a unity, and the combination of putting "hand-in- hand (yad-yad)" forms the Hebrew word "yedid" — which means close friends. When two hands come together there is a total of 28-joints. The number 28 written in Hebrew is kaf chet, spelling the word "koach" which means "strength. "
Commentaries state that a reason for the destruction of the Temple was due to Jews fighting against each other. The rededication of the Temple on Chanukkah saw the Jews repair their spiritual breeches and reunite around the Temple . When Jewish people unite, they are the strongest, like two hands coming together.

ALL DAGONS WILL BOW
"Early the next day, the Ashdodites found Dagon fallen and lying face down on the ground before the Ark of the LORD. The head and both hands of Dagon were broken off, lying on the threshold; only the torso of Dagon was left intact." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the Philistines took the Ark of GOD and brought it from Ebenezer (means: stone of help) to Ashdod (denotes: aggressor, enemy, ravager) they brought the Ark into the Temple of Dagon and set it by that heathen idol. Subsequently, when they arose early the next morning. . . there was Dagon. . . fallen on its face to the earth before the Ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. [1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 5. 1 - 3] To the people's dreaded shock and dismay, they again found the dead idol face-down before the Ark of the MIGHTY ONE. This time, it's head and hands broken off — demonstrating his worthlessness. When the men of Ashdod saw how matters stood, they said, "The Ark of the GOD OF ISRAEL must not remain with us, for HIS hand has dealt harshly with us and with our god, Dagon." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

How very foolish people are to turn to make-believe, imaginary gods and idol's made with their own hands. For all the false gods (Moslem' s Allah, Buddhist' s Buddha, Mormon's Maroni, Watch Tower Cult, statues, images & idols of so-called gods, sports figures, movie stars, nature worshipers, etc.) will also prove to be just as useless as Dagon and will fall before the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL. They all will stoop and bow down. They cannot release or rescue anyone from his burden and they themselves must be carried. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 46. 1 - 2]

The first commandment of the TRUE & LIVING CREATOR was: "You shall have no other gods besides ME." Furthermore, "You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your GOD am a JEALOUS, IMPASSIONED GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Torah] Later HE admonished the people, "You must tear down and destroy their altars, smash their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images and the sacred posts; for you must not worship any other god, because the LORD, WHOSE NAME is QANNA (jealous, impassioned) , is a JEALOUS GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 34. 13 - 15 Tanakh, Torah]

The HOLY SCRIPTURES are peppered with warnings— "Turn to ME and gain success, all the ends of earth! For I am GOD, and there is none else. By MYSELF have I sworn; from MY mouth has issued truth, a word that shall not turn back: to ME every knee shall bow, every tongue swear loyalty." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Torah] It is also written— "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD. So then each of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 11 - 12] "Therefore GOD also has highly exalted HIM and given HIM the NAME which is above every name, that at the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, to the glory of GOD THE FATHER." [Philippians 2. 9 - 11]

Oh come and see that the LORD is good! Bow your knee and your heart before the GREAT GOD OF THE UNIVERSE willingly, now before it is too late. Turn to the KING ETERNAL, HE alone has the power and ability to save us all from certain and imminent eternal torment.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
The 7th Light is the Light of Justice. Thus said King David— "Trust in the LORD and wait patiently for HIM!" Nothing can be achieved in haste. The spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. May the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE allows to make you strong.
As we celebrate Chanukkah — the bright glow of the candles causes us to remember the wonders reflected upon the SERVANT WHO bent down to bring light to those whom HE served. May the flame of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others this holiday season, and always.
H A P P Y C H A N U K K A H !
Wishing you every happiness during this Festival of Lights. May the bright glow of the festive candles cause us to remember the wonder reflected upon the SERVANT WHO bent down to bring light to those HE served.
Our continued love, Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down on the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how a man could look up to the heavens and say there is no GOD." [Abraham Lincoln]

ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, WISE KING
"Now to the King ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, to GOD alone WHO is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen" [1 Timothy 1. 17]

Paul is using several majestic descriptive terms here in this devotion of transcendent wonder to ALMIGHTY GOD, the ONE WHO faithfully enabled him to be in the ministry (v. 12 - 13); whose grace was "exceedingly abundant, with faith and love" (v. 14); WHO "came into the world to save sinners" (v. 15); WHO shows mercy, loving kindness, longsuffering, and WHO grants "life everlasting (v. 16)." Each stanza is worthy of our deliberate consideration.

The KING ETERNAL — GOD’S sovereign kingship is shown here. The term literally translates, the "KING OF THE AGES." "The LORD is the true God; HE is the LIVING GOD, the Everlasting King." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 10. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The LORD is KING for ever and ever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 10. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] HE is the KING of all ages, and we must humble ourselves and be in continual submission to HIM.

The KING IMMORTAL — A more vibrant, intense meaning of this Greek word (aphthartos) means more then an exemption from death, as it would include total incorruptibility—the inability to be stained by either decay or death, a continuance. What a comfort to realize that the believer’s crown in glory will be equally imperishable [1 Corinthians 9. 25; also see James 1. 12]; as will their resurrection body. "The dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." [1 Corinthians 15. 52] "The LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And the dead in CHRIST will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

The KING INVISIBLE — GOD is SPIRIT, and as such HE cannot be seen by mortal eye. However, HE has chosen to appear on numerous occasions, most notably as the MESSIAH, but is usually unseen. YESHUA "is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." [Colossians 1. 15] "My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 89. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Visible or invisible, GOD merits our praise, worship, honor and thanks.

The ONLY WISE GOD — GOD is exclusive and unique in HIS existence and wisdom, "GOD, alone wise, be glory through YESHUA ha’MASHIACH forever. Amen" [Romans 16. 27] "Now to HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless, before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy, to GOD our SAVIOR, WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen" [Jude 24 - 25] Beyond all doubt, the LORD GOD stands alone, completely different from all others.

To this eternal, incorruptible, unseen, unique, wise, sovereign KING belongs honor and glory ceaselessly for all eternity. Amen!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The 6th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Love. "You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and all your soul and with all your might!"
May YESHUA bless you with HIS great love that all may see it and know the ONE from WHOM it came.
May ALMIGHTY GOD’S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY...bright enough for all to see…clear enough for all to follow.

There is none like YOU among the mighty, O LORD, and there are no works like YOURS. YOUR Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and YOUR dominion endures throughout all generations. YOU are KING ETERNAL; YOU have reigned and shall reign for evermore.
The LORD will give strength to HIS people; the LORD will bless HIS people with shalom (peace). YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the ONE WHO gives true peace and rest; WHOSE Law keeps us holy.

Happy Chanukkah Everyone! Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace, wonderful joy and indescribable happiness.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In MESSIAH YESHUA dwells the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY.

DEDICATION (Part 2 — Conclusion)
The eight-branched Menorah also represents the people of GOD WHO are "the lower lights." MESSIAH called HIS followers "lights" [Ephesians 5. 8], and also commanded them to let their "light so shine before men" that their good works would be seen and the HEAVENLY FATHER glorified. [Matthew 5. 16]

To the Jewish people there is much significance in the idea of Lights — one of them is relative to marriage: "From every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven. And when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, their streams of light flow together, and a single brighter light goes forth from their united being." [Baal Shem Tov]

The WORD OF GOD describes YESHUA ha'MASHIACH as THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, behold HIS wondrous flame, the FLAME OF HOPE. HE came as the SERVANT (SHAMMAS) to light every man who comes to HIM; and all who come to HIM shall no longer walk in darkness, but shall have the LIGHT OF LIFE! A song of thanksgiving for this LIGHT is found in the book of Isaiah: "The people that walked in darkness have seen a brilliant LIGHT; on those who dwelt in the land of gloom and death, LIGHT has dawned." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Yes, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is this GLORIOUS LIGHT WHO shines —not for one night only or even for eight nights— but HE is as the "NER TORMID" — THE PERPETUAL LIGHT shining victoriously forevermore!

There is a popular game which is played at this season to remember the Miracle of Lights. Dreidels (tops) are spun in this celebration. The driedel is shaped like a cube, on each of the lateral sides of which is found a Hebrew letter. The four Hebrew letters are nun, gimmel, hai, shin — the initials of the words which constitute the sentence, "Nes Gadol Hayah Shem" or "A Great Miracle Happened There."

Why is this game so linked with Chanukkah? During the rule of the Greek-Syrians, studying the TORAH was outlawed and if anyone was caught, the crime was punishable by death. So, when the children were studying the TORAH and they saw a Greek patrol come by, they would quickly hide the TORAH and take out a dreidel and begin playing. So, it is a reminder of the brave children who had the courage to study the TORAH even under such dangerous circumstances and times.

How very interesting that while the dreidel spins, the letters disappear in a blur and are visible only when it comes to a stop. How like the dreidel we are — immersed in the dizzying hustle and bustle of daily routine and we cannot see the miracles regularly happening all around us. It is only when we stop to reflect that our eyes are opened to the miracles that were there all along. We are reminded again that the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." [Hebrews 13. 5] And we are also assured, that HIS mercies endure forever according to HIS loving-kindnesses. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 63]

In the Gamatra (numerology) the initial Hebrew letters depicting "A Great Miracle Happed There" have the number value— 358 —which is the same numerical value as the name "Messiah! " YESHUA truly is "THE GREATEST of miracles!" HE came that we might have life, and that abundantly.

In John 10:22 we read of THE PROMISED REDEEMER WHO walked on Solomon' s porch on this day (Feast of Dedication), WHO has won a victory for us greater than that of Judah Maccabeus. YESHUA, the WORD-made-Flesh, has loosed us from the hands of our enemy, the Devil, and has cleansed the once-polluted Temple by the ministry of HIS HOLY SPIRIT. We who are redeemed, rejoice in the GIFT of all gifts, not only at the Feast of Dedication, but every moment of our lives when we remember the victory the LORD JESUS wrought for us and the MIRACLE OF THE EVERLASTING LIGHT in our souls! HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Be blessed as we bid farewell to Shabbat! May the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins and grant us a good week as we continue in HIS service!
The 4th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Mercy. Cruelty hardens the heart and destroys friendship. "Do justice, and love mercy, and walk humbly after your GOD." Truly, the LORD is exceptionally good, HIS mercy is eternal, HIS faithfulness and truth is for all generations.
Happy Chanukkah – Enjoy the coming week celebrating the wondrous Festival of Lights!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Moaz Tsur (Rock of Ages): "ROCK OF AGES, let our song praise YOUR saving power; YOU amid the raging foes, were our SHELTERING TOWER. Furiously they assailed us, but YOUR arm availed us, and YOUR WORD broke their sword, when our own strength failed us." [adaptation of a German Chanukkah hymn by Leopold Stein]

CRIMSON CORD OF HOPE
"When we invade the country, you tie this line of crimson cord to the window through which you let us down. Bring your father, your mother, your brothers and all your family together in your house." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The spies whom Joshua sent to spy out the lands of Jericho , spoke these words to Rahab, the prostitute, after she protected them from being discovered by the officials of Jericho . Rahab declared to the spies that "the LORD your GOD is the only GOD in heaven above and on earth below." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Therefore, "by faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace." [Hebrews 11. 31]

Rahab's spiritual salvation came because of her faith in the true and living GOD OF ISRAEL; she soon entered into the covenant family of Israel and even became a member of the family line leading to the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Rahab's physical deliverance, on the other hand, and that of her family depended on a "line of scarlet thread" suspended from her window identifying her home as being redeemed by the blood, so to speak, when Jericho fell and all its inhabitants perished.

This thin, blood-red line constituted a very slender hope for Rahab in the midst of such a scene of judgment and total destruction, but it was sufficient. Tiqvah is the Hebrew word for line, the ground of hope, thing hoped for [the outcome] — how totally fascinating! This is the first time tiqvah is translated as such — elsewhere it is translated as "hope." Possibly that is when the line came to mean hope because of this memorable experience, when a "crimson, scarlet hope" extended all the way from a repentant sinner to the MOST HOLY LORD, the GREAT GOD OF HOSTS. "For YOU are my HOPE (LINE), O LORD GOD, my TRUST from my youth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 3] "O HOPE of Israel ! O LORD! All who forsake YOU shall be put to shame." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Definitely, the blood of our REDEEMER, the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH is our "LINE OF HOPE" to the ETERNAL FATHER — and through HIS PRECIOUS GIFT to us, we are redeemed for all ages and bound in HIS gracious mercies and love. The blood of the CRUCIFIED & RISEN SAVIOR, the PRINCE OF PEACE is our only covering for sin and the only basis for eternal HOPE OF GLORY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
The 5th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Holiness. Purity of thought and nobility of action make all of life sacred. "Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD OF HOSTS; the whole earth is filled with HIS Glory!" May the REDEEMER of all ages make you holy and may you grow in HIS wisdom and favor.
Chanukkah reminds me that GOD is always there for us, and can help us overcome anything, just as HE helped the Maccabees so many years ago. If we allow HIM to fight our battles — whatever those battles may be — HIS WORD will indeed break our enemy’s sword. That powerful reminder of GOD’S love for us is one reason this Chanukkah Season is such a blessed time to remember just how much GOD loves us and give thanks for HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON the greatest miracle.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth or the only truth...for only the MESSIAH, the LORD JESUS OF NAZARETH is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE, and THE LIGHT.

DEDICATION (Part 1 of 2)
"Instruct the Israelites to bring you clear oil of beaten olives for lighting, to cause the lamp to burn always. Aaron and his sons shall set them up in the Tabernacle of Meeting, outside the curtain which is before the Ark of the Covenant, to burn from evening to morning before the LORD. It shall be a due from the Israelites for all time, throughout the ages." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 20 - 21 Tanakh, Torah]

It is said that the Hebrew word, Chanukkah, itself tells of the date for its observance: "hanu" means rested and "kah" means 25. Thus, it was on the 25th of Kislev that the Jewish people "rested" from their enemies at that time in history. Chanukkah is the "Festival of Lights" because of the many lights involved in the Feast. Chanukkah literally means dedication in memory of the rededication of the Temple in 165 BC by Judas Maccabeus, after it had been polluted by Antiochus Epiphanes, the Syrian king. In 176 BC Antiochus tried to force the Jews to give up their faith and to adopt Greek customs. He persecuted the Jews who refused to do this.

Antiochus Epiphanes converted the TEMPLE OF GOD to worship Zeus, and placed an image of Zeus the dominant Greek god (a preview of the abomination of desolation spoken of by the Prophet Daniel [11:31; 12:11; Matthew 24:13; Mark 13:14]) in the Holy Place . He looted the Temple and ordered all Jews to bow down to the idols placed there. Then, Antiochus brought in a sow, and placed it on the Holy Altar in desecration of ALMIGHTY GOD'S holiness. He brought waste and destruction — desecrated the vessels of the LORD in debauchery and drunkenness and put out the "Ner Tomid (Perpetual Light)."

Eventually the deliverance began with one righteous and godly father. Daniel 11:32 says, "He (the king of the North, the vile one — and those who do wickedly) will flatter with smooth words those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their GOD will firmly resist him." Or as it also can be translated—the people who are devoted to their GOD shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. The Hasmoneans, the Maccabee family, led the Jews in a revolt. The people fled to the mountains to avoid Antiochus' revenge. The revolt, however, spread. The old priest Mattathias died of exhaustion and sickness after one year, but Judah, one of his five sons, who was nicknamed "the Maccabee" or "the Hammer" — because of his military might, succeeded him. After three years of hard guerilla warfare the small band under Judah the Maccabee and his brothers was able to throw out the Syrian forces after two stunning victories in open battle.

In the Chanukkah prayers we say: "YOU delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the impure into the hands of the pure." The Maccabees were most probably physically weak and unimpressive. They had no experience or training, fighting with primitive weapons, sometimes with their bare hands. They fought because they had no choice. They fought because their spiritual existence was threatened. The odds of victory were impossible. And they won.

There is a Jewish concept known as mesirat nefesh— it means self-sacrifice —doing the right thing no matter what the personal cost. It means doing what you need to do even though you don’t see how it can possibly work out, yet depending completely on GOD. The victory of the Maccabees had nothing to do with military skill and was completely unrelated to physical strength. Chanukkah represents this victory of mesirat nefesh. The conflict was a spiritual one and therefore it was not the sword, but the spirit, that conquered. The Maccabees fought with raw will and brutal determination, and a clarity of purpose.

Chanukkah is the holiday of mesirat nefesh. The message of Chanukkah is that no matter how impossible it looks, we need to fight off the forces that seek our spiritual destruction. This is a battle that can only be won with mesirat nefesh, the single-minded determination and self-sacrifice that opens the floodgates of blessing and complete dependency from the MIGHTY ONE WHO goes before us on the path to victory. Indeed, the battle is the LORD’S.

"I will rouse your sons, O Zion , against your sons, O Javan (Greece), and make you a warrior' s sword. Then the LORD will appear over them (Judah); HIS arrows will flash lightning. The SOVEREIGN LORD will sound the ram’s horn; he will march in the storms of the south, and the LORD ALMIGHTY will protect them. HIS slingstones shall destroy and overcome." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 9. 13 – 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

After several years of fighting, Judah and his men drove the Syrians out, they immediately set out for Jerusalem to restore the Temple . On Kislev 25, 165 BCE/BC, exactly three years after the Temple had been defiled, they rededicated the altar to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN.

In the Temple , the priests kept the light burning in obedience to the command of the HOLY ONE, but when they prepared to rekindle this light after the victory, they found that there was only enough oil to last one day. This was a tragic discovery to the Jewish people for the ALMIGHTY' S command could not then be carried out. Search was made for the oil for this Lamp. The oil must be pure and prepared under the care of the high priest and sealed with his seal. No pure oil could be found nor could any be prepared before 8 days (7 days set apart to the LORD; on the 8th day it is holy to the LORD). The small jug of oil bearing the seal of the high priest might suffice for only one day, but according to the Jewish people's tradition a miracle occurred, the oil lasted for the full eight days!

Thus, in Synagogues and homes, Chanukkah is principally observed by the lighting of candles set in an eight-branched Menorah to commemorate the Miracle and the Victory. This Menorah also contains an additional holder for the candle called "Shammas (servant)" with which the others are lighted. The custom is to burn one candle the first evening, two the second; progressively increased each evening until all eight are lit on the eighth night. Before each candle is lit there is a blessing recited and singing follows afterwards.

It is significant that the eight candles of the Chanukkah Menorah are not lighted with a match but with the "Shammas. " Then after the "SERVANT" has given its light to all the others it is put in a high place or a special place of honour in the Menorah. Do you not see in this action a beautiful picture of the only SERVANT (of GOD) WHO was exalted after HE had given HIS light to HIS people? In the words of Isaiah we find HIM described: "The REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, GOD'S HOLY ONE; the DESPISED ONE; HIM WHO is abhorred of nations; to the SERVANT of rulers: kings shall see and stand up; nobles, and they shall prostrate themselves - to the honor of the LORD, WHO is faithful, to the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL WHO chose you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Chanukkah is the story of victory over apostasy and lawlessness; it is therefore very important for us today. Even YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE observed this Feast (John:10:22) , and Hebrews 11:33-38 includes the people involved in the Chanukah story in its list of the heroes of faith.

CREATOR GOD exalts HIS SERVANT, MESSIAH YESHUA, and causes kings and princes to bow down before HIM. Yes, the LORD JESUS is the only SERVANT WHO is worthy to be given a position of honor! HE is the ONE sent of GOD to bring us the light of salvation. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 13 - 15; Philippians 2. 6 - 8] It is written of the ANOINTED ONE, the KING of all ages— "The LIGHT OF ISRAEL will be fire, and the HOLY ONE a flame." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 10. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

...to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Welcoming Shabbat Chanukkah — the Festival of Dedication! Let us celebrate the Bride-of-the- Week by removing ourselves from the ordinary and enter the holiness of Shabbat.

The 3rd Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Justice. No nation can endure who is unjust to the weak—"Justice, always justice shall you pursue!" Take heed that you judge in righteousness, for you do not judge for man but for the GOD WHO is with you in judgment. Chanukkah is a special time for us to say thank the LOVING CREATOR for all the little and big miracles in our lives. When we look into the beautiful, pure flames of the candles we remember that no day is just another day. There are blessings around all of us every moment, just waiting for us to notice them.
Happy Chanukkah!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Modeh Ani: Modeh ani lefanecha Melech chai v’kayom shehechezarta bee neshmati b’chemia rabba emunasecha. — "Thankful am I before YOU, LIVING & ETERNAL KING, that YOU have returned my soul within me with compassion; abundant is YOUR faithfulness. "
A THANKSGIVING MEDITATION
"How awesome are YOUR deeds! YOUR enemies cower before YOUR great strength. All the earth bows in worship to YOU and sings praise to YOU; all sing hymns of praise to YOUR NAME. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 66. 3 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Since man apart from ETERNAL GOD is but an abnormal creature, our greatest joys, our deepest satisfactions, come in our relationship to HIM. So, I thank the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS NAME, for sins forgiven, for HE is THE GREAT HIGH PRIEST touched with the feelings of my infirmities; for the privilege of being a tool in HIS mighty hand, for HIS guidance, for HIS ear that hears my prayers, for HIS arm on which to lean, for HIS PRECIOUS WORD in which HE speaks to us explicitly; and for the blessed, blessed hope of HIS soon-coming!

I thank the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR more than all else, for utter safety. In the past I have known what it was to be afraid, but now I know that I am entirely and perfectly secure. I feel HIS secure hand and know HIS perfect peace. Like Paul, who kept the faith to the end, I know that nothing, absolutely nothing, not my own deeds nor those of others, not the works of devils, not circumstances, nor so-called fate . . . nothing can separate me from the love of YESHUA ha'Mashiach, the VICTORIOUS LORD GOD OF ISRAEL. Pain, sorrow, and bereavement can come; shattered nerves and a broken body can be my lot; death can even put my body in the grave; but whatever comes, it passes first through my PRECIOUS LORD JESUS’ tender hands, and so I can accept it because it comes from HIM!

As with all saints of GOD MOST HIGH, nothing can keep me out of heaven. . . because I know in WHOM I believe, therefore I trust and obey HIM. I am as safe now as though I were already there. Just these few hard years to live, these few burdens to bear, and then to be eternally with the HOLY ONE who redeemed me. How can I help but love and praise HIM for all HE has done giving HIS all. Why HE gives all these treasures to a poor creature like me, I do not know — but I do know that I shall need all eternity in which to thank my WONDERFUL, PRECIOUS LORD GOD for HIS incredibly marvelous love and amazing grace!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
The 8-Nights of Chanukkah start tonight at sundown, November 27th this year. Prepare to enjoy the Festival of Lights!
Welcoming the First Light of Chanukkah... The Shehecheyan’u —blessings said over these special Chanukkah lights: MESSIAH YESHUA is shown in the Chanukkah lights as the middle SHAMAS (Servant) Candle. HE came to minister, serve and save; HE serves mankind with HIS wonderful salvation. Genesis/Bereshith 1. 3-4 describes the creation of the first light: "ELOHIYM said— Let there be light, and there was light. GOD saw that the light was good, and GOD separated the light from the darkness."
The 1st Candle tells us of HIM WHOSE first command was, "Let there be light." The darkness of idol worship and immorality was scattered when Israel brought radiant knowledge of the ONE TRUE GOD. May you grow daily in the richness and blessings of knowing HIM, WHO is CREATOR GOD, the LIGHT of the world.
Happy Chanukkah! & Blessed Thanksgiving! Truly, giving thanks is too precious to be reserved for just one day a year!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem , is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

I will be with you..." Then the LORD said — Return! — and I will be with you." [Genesis/Bereshith 31:3]

Our GREAT & MERCIFUL LORD GOD does all these things for you because HE loves you so very much.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
The 2nd Light of Chanukah is the LIGHT of TORAH. Israel 's BOOK OF LAW: The Commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. And, may you share wonderful holy-days together with friends and family. Our prayer, also, is that the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others.
Our dear friends, we wish you a festive, warm, loving, blazingly bright, and happy Thanksgivvukah (Thanksgiving & Chanukkah)!

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order to receive direction from GoD, you must be able to receive correction from GOD.

YEHOWAH RAPHA
"If you will heed the LORD your GOD diligently, doing what is upright in HIS sight, giving ear to HIS commandments and keeping all HIS Laws, then I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I the LORD am your HEALER." [Exodus (Shemot) 15. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

All praise and thanks to our LOVING ETERNAL GOD! HE still heals today. HE is the same WONDERFUL MIRACLE-WORKING OMNIPOTENT LORD, able to deliver from every power of the old devil. Our GRACIOUS EVERLASTING KING has not changed HIS covenant or HIS NAME!

In the OLD COVENANT the Jewish prophet Isaiah asks a question concerning the OMNIPOTENT LORD that heals. "Who can believe what we have heard? Upon whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The NEW COVENANT holds the answer. . .when the arm of the ALMIGHTY was revealed through Messiah Yeshua: "But although HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in HIM, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke— LORD, who has believed our report? and to whom has the ARM OF THE LORD been revealed?" [John 12. 37 - 38]

The Prophet Isaiah saw the SUFFERING MESSIAH and exclaimed, "Yet it was our sickness that HE was bearing, our suffering that HE endured. We accounted HIM plagued, smitten and afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities, HE bore the chastisement that made us whole, and by HIS stripes was healing granted to us." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Again in the NEW COVENANT, this prophecy is fulfilled in the LORD JESUS, "When evening had come, they brought to HIM (YESHUA) many who were demon-possessed. And HE cast out the spirits with HIS word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: —He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses." [Matthew 8. 16 - 17]

King David knew the GREAT PHYSICIAN — his heart went up in praise to YAH as he spoke these praises: "Bless the LORD, O my soul and do not forget all HIS bounties. HE forgives all your sins, heals all your diseases." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim ]

Moses, also, knew the MIGHTY HEALER. The HOLY ONE commanded him to raise a "copper serpent upon a pole" so the Israelites who had been poisoned in their bodies, looking upon it would be healed! [Numbers/B&# 39;Midvar 21] And, as Moses lifted up the fiery serpent in the wilderness, so must the MAN OF SORROWS be lifted up that those who were poisoned by sin and disease, looking upon HIM (specifically, believed in the SON OF MAN), could be healed.

At the time of the first Passover, the Israelites were commanded to take a lamb, kill it, shed its blood, and eat its meat. Not only was the blood given for redemption of the soul, but the meat of the lamb was to be eaten for strength and health for the journey into the Land of Promise.

CREATOR GOD expects every child of HIS who has applied the blood of the LAMB (Yeshua, GOD'S SON) to their hearts' door in faith for deliverance from soul bondage, to also partake, by faith, of the meat of the GOD'S LAMB for strength and health through this wilderness (world) journey into the Promised Land! Not only was the blood of the LAMB shed for remission of our sins, but HIS body was bruised and broken for our physical health!

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was made a curse in order to redeem us from the curse of the Law. HE WHO knew no sin was made sin so that we, believing upon HIM, might be delivered from sin. HE WHO knew no sickness, was made sick that we, believing on HIM, might be delivered from sickness. Even in death, complete healing does come to the believer, for we are promised a new, incorruptible body like HIS. [1 Corinthians 15. 35 - 58]

My dear Jewish people, it was for you (and our beloved Gentile Brethren) that YESHUA the LORD & SAVIOR paid the price for our deliverance and healing. Receive HIM today not only as your Messiah Who has redeemed your soul, but also as "YEHOWAH RAPHA — The LORD that HEALS." Our MERCIFUL, LOVING GOD is able, and willing, and eager to extend HIS mercy to all those who will call upon HIM in faith. All things are possible to who ever believes!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week. May you be filled with love and unselfishness — that happiness and contentment may abide in your homes.
Praised are YOU LORD GOD, RULER of the world, WHO has given us YOUR Law of Truth and implanted within us everlasting life. YOUR Law of Truth & Righteousness reveals to all lands the words of the prophets YOU are GOD, there is no other. YOUR glorious Throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary wherein we give praises to YOU, the ONE who is worthy of all adoration. LORD, YOU alone are the ONE we praise.
"Hag Semaiach — have a good holiday!"
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Knowledge is what you remember when you forgot everything you learned.

SECRET OF THE LORD
"Let me know YOUR paths, O LORD; teach me YOUR ways. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear HIM; to them HE makes known HIS covenant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 4, 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word for secret is cowd, which in this verse is like an amazing promise for the “inner counsel” directly from the TRIUNE GOD HIMSELF. But, how can those who fear the LORD really know the secret counsels of the GODHEAD? The answer can only be by divine revelation to GOD’S prophets. As Amos records— "Surely, the LORD GOD does nothing unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS servants the prophets." [Amos (Amus) 3. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Talmud teaches, “Seek not out the things that are to hard for you and into the things that are hidden from you inquire not. In what is permitted to you instruct yourself; you have no business with secret things.” However, when these ancient promises were given they were "settled in Heaven" [Psalms/Tehillym 119. 89], though still not revealed to men. "The secret things belong to the LORD our GOD, but those things which are revealed are for us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] Then, when the PROMISED REDEEMER came, HE promised HIS disciples, "the HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM the FATHER will send in MY NAME, HE will teach you all things." [John 14. 26]

The NEW COVENANT discloses even more of GOD’S view, "We speak the wisdom of GOD in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which GOD ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY. But as it is written — Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM. — BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THEM TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of GOD except the SPIRIT OF GOD. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT WHO is from GOD, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 7 - 12]

"GOD, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by HIS SON, WHOM HE has appointed heir of all things." [Hebrews 1. 1 - 2] Along with the twelve disciples, the Apostle Paul was called by the LORD GOD and through these men, YESHUA would convey to those who fear HIM all the rest of HIS revelation. "By revelation HE made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of CHRIST), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the SPIRIT." [Ephesians 3. 3 - 5]

Finally, "the secret of the LORD" was completed in written-form by John, the last living apostle, with nothing else to be added or deleted [Revelation 22. 18 - 19], that "the mystery of GOD would be finished, as MESSIAH YESHUA declared to HIS servants the prophets." [Revelation 10. 7] All we shall ever need to know of GOD’S Eternal Counsels is now available to all who desire to know, written for our sake, for our hope, and our edification in the HOLY SCRIPTURES.
Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Chanukkah reminds me that GOD is always there for us, and can help us overcome anything, just as HE helped the Maccabees so many years ago. If we allow HIM to fight our battles — whatever those battles may be — HIS WORD will indeed break our enemy’s sword. That powerful reminder of GOD’S love for us is one reason this Chanukkah/Thanksgiv ing Season is such a blessed time to remember just how much GOD so loved the world and gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON; a special time to say thanks to the LOVING CREATOR for all the little and big miracles in our lives. So, when you look into the beautiful, pure flames of the candles, remember that no day is just another day. There are blessings around all of us every moment, just waiting for us to notice them.
Happy Chanukkah…may each day be filled with thanks to the ALMIGHTY ONE.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 38 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's way leads to a hopeless end . . . GOD'S way leads to an endless hope.

END-TIME WARNING
"Do you think that those eighteen on whom the Tower in Siloam fell and killed were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, 'No!' But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." [Luke 13. 4 - 5]

The LOVING LORD MESSIAH YESHUA reminded those around HIM that their time of death, just like the rest of us, is known only to the MASTER CREATOR & LIFE-GIVER. "It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27] And, that we should know the sign of the times we are living in are "as in the days of Noah (when violence filled the earth), so shall it be at the coming of the SON OF MAN." [Matthew 24. 37 - 39]

The call to repentance continues throughout the time of the Great Tribulation which we are rapidly approaching. We must also remember the promise of our LORD & SAVIOR, the CREATOR OF THE Universe, when HE stated, "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among MY people, IF MY people who are called by MY NAME will humble themselves, and pray and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 7. 13 - 15]

Search out the Four-Fold Requirement. . . we must
1. Humble ourselves before the ALMIGHTY GOD OF ISRAEL.
2. Pray (commune, honor & glorify, talk to GOD and learn to hear HIM, feel at one with, understand).
3. Seek HiS face.
4. Repent (turn TO the LIVING GOD — FROM our wicked ways).
Our nation has adopted a policy in most of the laws passed changing what ALMIGHTY GOD has said is EVIL and SIN into an acceptable alternate life-style, and demand tolerance of wickedness.

The present "war against terrorism" is being presented to us by our national leaders and the media as being a non-religious war. However, the clerics of the Muslim countries have demonstrated that this is not the case, and they have called for a holy war against the United States and all its allies. And many Muslims around the world are responding to the call. The war, in fact, is a religious war against Muslim goal to take over the entire world!

All of this together is fulfilling the sign given by the LORD JESUS describing the evidence existing at the time of the End of the World given throughout the WRITTEN HOLY SCRIPTURES and vividly described in Revelation 6 dealing with the first Four Seals: Peace removed from the earth, men killing one another. With the lust for conquest diminishing and a new zeal for a United Earth, we find the tyrant conqueror replaced by terrorism and religious wars fulfilling the sequential pattern pointed out in the Seals. 1st SEAL: Conqueror, conquering. 2nd SEAL: Peace is removed from the earth and people killing one another. 3rd SEAL: High cost of food. 4th SEAL: Death and hell claiming one-fourth of the population of the earth.

Consider the total number killed by war, abortion, terrorist attacks, and general violence. It is nearing one-fourth of the population of the earth that would be here if they had not taken place. Hell naturally follows the death of the unsaved. The LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT is well aware of the count, and HE will decide when one-fourth of the earth's population has been killed. Soon afterward, we may expect the time described as "The time of Jacob's Trouble, the Great Tribulation. "

When Jonah preached in Nineveh calling the people to repent or the city would be destroyed, "the people of Nineveh believed the LORD GOD. They proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth FROM THE GREATEST to the least of them." [Jonah (Yonah) 3. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Now is the time for all (who-so-ever- will) to take heed of their relationship with GOD MOST HIGH. If we are not walking according to HIS will, we need to change our ways or it will certainly lead to the time of dread as we face the Wrath of GOD & the LAMB. In fact, it is a call to all the people of the earth to turn to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN with all our hearts and to align our laws and our lives according to HIS WORD which is revealed in the HOLY BIBLE.

May GOD'S people, who are called by HIS NAME, humble themselves and pray, seek HIS face and turn from their evil ways so the time of HIS wrath won't catch them unprepared. Now is the time to pray, that whosoever will return to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, may humble themselves before HIM, and draw near to HIM before it is too late. Signs are all around, our LORD is coming back quickly, and very soon.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
This is the first year that the first night of Chanukkah coincides with Thanksgiving — this gives us a double blessing, an event that will not happen again in our lifetimes — unless you are somehow still alive a few thousand years from now. Let us delight in this extremely rare opportunity to bless and thank ALMIGHTY GOD for our spiritual and material blessings…the food for our bodies as well as the survival of our faith that grants us spiritual sustenance for our souls. May the grace of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH be with your spirit continually as you seek HIM. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Greed, selfish desires, ambition, lust and the like are all categories of madness.

THE OHEL
"You shall make cloths of goats' hair for a tent over the Tabernacle; make the cloths eleven in number." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 7 Tanakh, Torah]

The Ohel is the second covering of the Wilderness Tabernacle. The women who were wise-hearted spun goats' hair for its making. Bedouins today live in tents made of black goats' hair which has been woven into a canvas. They call it their "house of hair."

In HOLY SCRIPTURES, the goat signifies the sin bearer, especially the Scape Goat. Black, representing man's old nature of sin. The black of the Ohel, the tent or second curtain, tells of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH WHO was made the Sin-Offering; then the Ram's Skins dyed red — typical of YESHUA "MESSIAH THE SUBSTITUTE" WHO'S blood covers the blackness of our sin. The white linen of the Mishkan tells of MESSIAH' S righteousness (First, HE is righteous).

At four of the set times or "Feasts of YEHOWAH" — Unleavened Bread, Feast of First-Fruits, Pentecost and the Day of Atonement there was a goat slain on behalf of the people's sins. Since the offensive odor of this animal signifies the stench of sin in the nostrils of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, the priests were commanded to purify themselves from defilement by washing with water after handling it. [Numbers/B’Midvar 31. 20; Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 26 - 28] The LORD MESSIAH is the ANTI-TYPE of the goats' hair curtain, for HE was "made sin," a stench to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN, upon that Roman Cross. Isaiah prophesies of this: "When YOU (FATHER GOD) make HIS (MESSIAH YESHUA) soul an offering for sin" — or rather, "HE (YESHUA) made HIMSELF an offering for guilt…and that through HIM the LORD'S purpose might prosper." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The LORD JESUS came in the likeness of sinful flesh, yet without sin, and died upon the Altar (as did the goat) on behalf of the people. JESUS OF NAZARETH is the perfect SIN-OFFERING to ALMIGHTY GOD for us that "we might become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [1 Corinthians 5. 21]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH came as a PERFECT MAN to be THE SIN OFFERING because of the marvelous grace of our LOVING GOD to man in his weakness. We could never show enough gratitude and appreciation for HIS tender mercy to us! Sincerely, we do —Thank YOU, LORD! HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, we share the blessed hope that, in YESHUA, every day will be as sweet as Shabbat — a rest of love freely given in truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD JESUS! May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel, Amen.

Life begins with struggle; and when struggle ends life ends with it. This may well be the secret of Jewish continuity, which has outlived the countless nations and empires and ideologies that have done everything in their power to destroy us, and who survive only in the pages of history books. But even more than that, it is that very struggle that makes life worth living. Comfort and complacency lead to apathy, and a life of apathy is scarcely better than no life at all. Both Thanksgiving and Hanukkah (combined makes for a new word: Thanksgivvukah) remind us to be grateful not just for the success, but even for the struggle.

Therefore, seek the LORD while HE may be found, call upon HIM while HE is near. Diligently obey the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, incline your ear to the MASTER and you will live. Go with GOD, and have a good week overflowing with blessings, may gladness reign and joy increase.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
An apology is a good way to have the last word.

BEING BORN ANEW
"The SPIRIT HIMSELF bears witness with our spirit that we are children of GOD." [Romans 8. 16]

Every born-again child of the MOST HIGH GOD has the threefold proof of their new birth...proof that he does belong to the KING OF GLORY. This threefold proof is first Inward; second, Outgoing; and third, Outward:

INWARD: Whoever believes that JESUS is the MESSIAH is born of God. "He who believes in the SON OF GOD has the witness in himself; he who does not believe GOD has made HIM a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that GOD has given of HIS SON. And this is the testimony: that GOD has given us eternal life, and this life is in HIS SON. He who has the SON has life; he who does not have the SON OF GOD does not have life." [1 John 5. 10 - 13] This is inward proof of the new birth.

OUTGOING: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of GOD; and everyone who loves is born of GOD and knows GOD. He who does not love does not know GOD, for GOD is love. In this the love of GOD was manifested toward us, that GOD has sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON into the world, that we might live through HIM. In this is love, not that we loved GOD, but that HE loved us and sent HIS SON to be the PROPITIATION for our sins. Beloved, if GOD so loved us, we also ought to love one another." [1 John 4. 7 - 11] We are to love our fellow man with the love of GOD. This we are not capable of doing in the flesh; we must let the ALMIGHTY ONE love man through us. "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of GOD has been poured out in our hearts by the HOLY SPIRIT WHO was given to us." [Romans 5. 5] This is Outgoing proof of the new birth.

OUTWARD: "If you know that HE is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of HIM." [1 John 2. 29] If you are born of the MASTER, you will make a practice of doing right at all times and at all cost. "Therefore, if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17] This is Out-ward proof of the In-ward new nature.

Therefore, since we are now a "new creation" — we cannot say "that we are just human" — for we are not, we are just that..." a new creation." [Galatians 6. 15] It is the LORD, the MASTER DESIGNER, WHO "created man's spirit within him." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Believing there is an EVER-LIVING HEAVENLY CREATOR won't save you. But knowing "The ONE" WHO redeemed us and serving HIM as LORD of our lives will. . . IF we keep HIS commandments — that's what is significant. We are MIGHTY ONE'S vehicle to express HIS thoughts, aims, emotions and actions to accomplish HIS purpose.

Therefore, let your conduct be worthy of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, stand fast in one spirit with one mind striving together for the faith of the LIFE-GIVING TRUTH. Not only are we to believe in our LOVING YESHUA, but also to be prepared to suffer for HIS sake. The LORD JESUS said, "These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." [John 16. 33]

We can know of a certainty that we are the children of the MOST HIGH, "when we love GOD and keep HIS commandments. " [1 John 5. 2] "Beloved, now we are children of GOD; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is." [1 John 3. 2] Oh such great joy…to be like our BLESSED SAVIOR and to be with HIM eternally.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honour and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GOD! May GOD’S blessings be on those who seek HIM in spirit and in truth. The GREAT NAME OF ALMIGHTY GOD will be magnified and sanctified in the world which HE has created.

Have a good Sabbath! —Honour the Sabbath by keeping it holy that you may enter the gates of Jerusalem as kings and princes.

Be gracious to us ALMIGHTY LORD GOD that we may understand and fulfill the Teaching of YOUR WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR Law that we may and cling to YOUR commandments. Unite our hearts to love, fully trust, and revere YOU and to learn YOUR WORDS and wisdom. LORD YOU are my PRAISE, my STRENGTH, my FORTRESS, my REFUGE — in days of affliction and at all times.

This is a joyous time of celebration for family and friends gatherings during this time of remembering miracles and giving thanks to the ALMIGHTY for HIS wondrous love and provisions. Let us join together and pray for all of God’s Chosen People as they celebrate God’s miracles of victory, dedication, and Light.

Post  Admin Fri 22 Nov 2013, 11:14 pm

God loves to take samples and makes them examples

Mark 3:17 - And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James;
and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

John the Baptist was son of Elizabeth the cousin of Mary the mother of
Jesus. The closest relations of Jesus other than His mother, brothers and
sisters (children of Joseph & Mary) were James and John. James and John
were children of Salome also called Mary by Jesus. She was the sister of
Mary His mother. Their father's real name was Cleopas but since it was a
common name and as per practice during those times, they would call him by
a nick name which was Zebedee.

So we see James and John were Jesus' close cousins. But Jesus did not
choose them to be His disciple just because they were His cousins. If one
goes deep into understanding John especially, one would know he was special
among the 12 not because Jesus loved him more (Jesus loved all the same but
gave more attention to some according the mission they were called for).

We see Jesus called them Boanerges which means (sons of thunder / resembled
thunder) instead of Zebedee or Cleopas. People think it was because they
were very energetic or dynamic but that is not the case. Jesus was jovial
as any ordinary human being. Many a times He did things to show the wise
their foolishness especially the Pharisees that is why we read scriptures
like 'it was Sabbath' immediately we see Jesus goes out to heal a person
even if he did not acknowledge Him as Christ like sick man near the lake or
the man born blind since birth. Jesus also purposely did crazy things to
heal people in places where they disbelieved Him and did not have faith.

We see Jesus called Simon son of Jonah as Cephas /Kephas ( word is in
Aramaic for Jesus spoke mostly Aramaic with His disciples and translated in
Greek as Petros / Peter when the Gospels were translated into Greek) which
means stone (symbolizing little knowledge) for his behaviour / attitude
because he spoke at times without understanding. Jesus did not want to
ridicule him but wanted us to know it was a person like Simon whom God
changed and filled with wisdom and courage to speak at the first
congregation of the New Church (at Pentecost).

With regards to James and John being called Boanerges it is because of an
incident recorded in Luke 9:53-56, where they asked Jesus to call for fire
to fall from the sky on a village for not receiving Him.

Our God loves to take people who are nothing, or who have failed in life,
whom the world laughs at, and turns them into incredible, mighty people His
Kingdom.

Today the Lord is telling us if we consider ourselves as failures in this
world, or people who other like to keep away, or people who are laughed at
for reason like lack of knowledge, looks etc., we have a good chance to be
great in the Kingdom of God if we turn to Him and let Him work in us and
through us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are a God who does wonders, that is why You chose the rejected of
this world and make them shine like gold. You let your glory shine through
them. Lord, we pray your Spirit ministers to all who are reading this and
at some time in their life felt hopeless, that they may have hope in You
and that You may refine them and make them glod...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Luke 9:53-56

53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would
go to Jerusalem.

54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt
thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even
as Elias did?

55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of
spirit ye are of.

56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save
them. And they went to another village.
