A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. 

WHAT THE LORD TOLERATES 
"I wiped out nations: Their corner towers are desolate; I turn their thoroughfares into ruins, with none passing by. Their towns lie waste without people, without inhabitants. And I thought that you would fear ME, receive instruction, and that the punishment I brought would not be lost on you and cut off your vision. Instead, all the more eagerly you have practiced corruption in all your deeds. But wait for ME— says the LORD —for the day when I arise as an ACCUSER; when I decide to gather nations, to bring kingdoms together, to pour out MY indignation on them, all MY blazing anger. Indeed, by the fire of MY passion all the earth shall be consumed." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 3. 6 - 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

ALMIGHTY GOD revealed HIMSELF in the HOLY SCRIPTURES as the UNIQUE MEASURE and the EMBODIMENT OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH. HE holds the extraordinary position of being CREATOR and SUSTAINER of the heavens and the earth, and all that HE created. Our GOD is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowledge) and omnipresent (everywhere all at once) and HE is altogether righteous. There is no inconsistency, HE is perfect, holy and just. 

When we insist on our doing what is right in our own eyes, apart from GOD'S holy standards; tolerate what HE does not tolerate, or fail to tolerate what HE does tolerate, we are sinning. Sin and iniquity are things the MASTER DESIGNER does not or will not tolerate. "Your iniquities have been a barrier between you and your GOD, your sins have made HIM turn HIS face away and refuse to hear you. For your hands are defiled with crime and blood and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips speak falsehood, your tongue utters treachery. No one sues justly, nor pleas for truth or pleads honestly. They rely on emptiness and speak falsehood, conceiving wrong and begetting evil." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 59. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

Although the LORD OF HOSTS, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL does not tolerate sin, HE is more than tolerant of mankind; HE is compassionate and merciful. Prophets of old are replete with examples of GOD'S intolerance as well as HIS tolerance. They carefully spell out the consequences of sin. . . captivity, dispersion, hardship, suffering and death. They also tell the positive side of serving the LIVING GOD... redemption, renewal, eternal life and heavenly rewards. 

The ALMIGHTY ONE not only has the unique right to be intolerant of our sin, but HE provides the "UNIQUE MEANS" to make us righteous. "THE WAY" has been provided for us to be reconciled to HIM, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have assigned it to you for making expiation for your lives upon the altar; IT IS THE BLOOD, as life, that effects expiation." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah] YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH. The LORD JESUS said of HIMSELF— "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the FATHER except through ME." [John 14. 6] 

Therefore beloved, we should consider what manner of persons we ought to be in holy conduct and godliness, "looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of GOD, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat." [2 Peter 3. 12] 

"For GOD did not send HIS SON into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through HIM might be saved. He who believes in HIM is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the oNLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD." [John 3. 17 - 18] Only by acknowledging and agreeing with GOD'S intolerance of our sin can we discover that HE is also incredibly merciful and loving in providing MESSIAH YESHUA, THE WAY, to have a relationship with us. In the PERSON of the LORD JESUS, we can see how far ALMIGHTY GOD was willing to go in order for us to be made right. Thank you LORD JESUS for YOUR cleansing blood.

O GOD, do not keep silent; do not hold aloof; do not be quiet, O EL! For YOUR enemies rage, Your foes assert themselves, they plot craftily against YOUR people, take counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say, “Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel’s name will be mentioned no more.” Deal with them, O my GOD, make them like thistledown, like chaff driven by the wind, as a fire burns a forest, as flames scorch the hills, pursue them with YOUR tempest, terrify them with YOUR storm. Cover their faces with shame so that they seek YOUR NAME, O YEHOWAH. May they be frustrated and terrified, disgraced and doomed forever. May they know that YOUR NAME, YOURS alone is YEHOWAH, the GLORIOUS MASTER over all the earth. [see Psalms/Tehillym 83] 
Giving thanks, praise, worship, honor and glory to the HOLY ONE WHO has redeemed us and made us HIS own peculiar people.

It is better to know a few things that are true then to know many things that are not so. 

AWAKE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS 
"Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of GOD. I speak this to your shame." [1 Corinthians 15. 34] 

The word “shame†in Greek is "entrope" — meaning turning inward, inversion, turning back, reverse, confusion, confound. This was used one other time by Paul — "I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?" [1 Corinthians 6. 5] Evidently this special variety of shame is associated with taking controversies between CHRISTian brethren to worldly judges and also with failing to witness to the unbelieving community. Instead of bringing the true wisdom of GOD to the ungodly, they were turning to scholarly, world-wise authority to resolve spiritual problems. Instead, put on the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH "knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep." [Romans 13. 11] Otherwise, this inverted behavior will produce nothing less than spiritual confusion! 

The better known medical term, "entropy" is the same as the Greek word — it is disorder of the body, where the body or system is disintegrating into confusion if left to itself or not attended properly to. This tendency can only be reversed if an orderly energy is applied to it effectively from a source outside the system. 

This gives a striking parallel in the spiritual realm. A person turning inward to draw on his own powers, or seeking power from an ineffective outside source, will inevitably deteriorate eventually into utter spiritual confusion and death. But when LOVING SAVIOR enters the life, that person becomes a new creation in the LORD JESUS. "If anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17] Through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and the LIFE-GIVING SCRIPTURES, "HIS divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world." [2 Peter 1. 3 - 4] 

The law of spiritual entropy is transformed into the law of the SPIRIT of life in Messiah Yeshua. "For the Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: HE condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." [Romans 8. 2 - 5] 

"Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." [Romans 9. 33] May the glory of the LORD GOD in us never be allowed to be put to shame.

Careless shepherds make many a feast for the wolf. 

WHICH YOKE TO WEAR 
"The yoke of my offenses is bound fast, lashed tight and woven by HIS hand; imposed upon my neck, it saps my strength. The LORD has delivered me into the hands of those I cannot withstand." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 1. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

The unsaved person wears a yoke of sin. The religious legalist wears a yoke of bondage and is encouraged to "stand fast" so not to become entangled into sin again. [Galatians 5. 1] A follower of CHRIST, who depends on the grace of GOD MOST HIGH, wears the liberating yoke of the LORD YESHUA. [Matthew 1. 29 - 30] 

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?" [2 Corinthians 6. 14 - 15] This text is precise and specifically plain regarding the doctrine of Christian separation from unbelievers. The believer should completely avoid evil teachings and errors or their practices; they should also turn away from all association with those who do such things; and they should never enter into a binding relationship of any kind with non-Christians. 

The unequally yoked involves the actual fellowship, communion, and physical union with unbelievers. This is actually forbidden by Law, for how "can two walk together without being in agreement?" [Amos (Amus) 3. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This clearly includes marriage, business partnership, or other formal bonds with individuals. Those who do not believe in MESSIAH YESHUA, are either knowingly or unknowingly affected by pagan beliefs or practices. "Therefore, if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But GOD has called us to peace." [1 Corinthians 7. 15] Instead of such an unbalanced, deranged yoke, we should be joined only to the Lord Yeshua ha'Mashiach and associate with His like-minded followers, for JESUS said— "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." [Matthew 11. 30] Perfect are all His ways.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
It is good to be a CHRISTian and know it, but it is better to be CHRIST-like and show it! 

ENDURING FOREVER 
"YEHOWAH abides (Hebrew: yashab — endure, continues, remains) forever; HE has prepared HIS Throne for judgment; it is HE WHO judges the world in righteousness, and rules the peoples in equity (uprightness, justice)." [Psalms (Tehillym) 9. 8 – 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

This world will eventually pass away. "YOU, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of YOUR hands. They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak YOU will fold them up, and they will be changed. But YOU are the same, and YOUR years will not fail." [Hebrews 1. 10 - 12] 

But GOD, the EVERLASTING LIGHT is eternal and shall endure forever and HIS glory will remain. "May the glory of the LORD endure forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 104. 31 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "YOURS is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen" [Matthew 6. 13] 

The great and marvelous name of the LORD will never change. "HIS NAME shall endure forever; HIS NAME shall continue as long as the sun." [Psalms/Tehillym 72. 17] Before the sun was, HIS NAME YINNON (the SUN). And, HIS righteousness never changes. [Psalms/Tehillym 112. 3] There are blessings in abundance for those who fear GOD. 

Psalms 136 declares in each verse the enduring mercies of YEHOWAH. GOD'S perfect righteousness will last forever, thus they are ever enduring. How can we help but continually thank and extol HIM throughout eternity. 

"Forever, O LORD, YOUR WORD is settled in heaven. YOUR faithfulness endures to all generations. " [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89 – 90a Tanakh, Kethuvim] May our eyes be opened by YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to see the wondrous things that are recorded for us in YOUR Law. For it is by the WORD we are saved enduring to the end. [Matthew 24. 13 - 14] "But the WORD OF THE LORD endures forever...Now this is the WORD which by the GOSPEL was preached to you." [1 Peter 1. 25] "Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY words will by no means pass away." [Matthew 24. 35] 

Because the HOLY ONE, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith lives forever, so shall we. "HIS seed shall endure forever." [Psalms/Tehillym 89. 37] "Raise your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath. Though the heavens should melt away like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants die out like gnats; MY salvation will be forever, and MY righteousness will not be abolished." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 51. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of GOD abides forever." [1 John 2. 17] 

O LORD, be my FORTRESS and my REFUGE, feed me with YOUR knowledge and understanding that I may endure with perseverance and receive YOUR blessing.

GOD'S Mercy Remembered: "I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the House of Israel, which HE has bestowed on them according to HIS mercies, according to the multitude of HIS lovingkindnesses. since the beginning of the world men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any GOD besides YOU, who acts for the one who waits for HIM. YOU meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers YOU in YOUR ways." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 63.7; 64:4-5]

Since Chanukkah & Thanksgiving come together this year, we wish to take this opportunity to prayerfully ask a blessing on each of you — may you have firsthand knowledge of our LOVING SAVIOR and a personal relationship with HIM. Have a Happy Chanukkah and a Wonderful Thanksgiving, giving praise and worship to our GREAT KING, MESSIAH YESHUA WHO gives us rich blessings, joy and hope.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
When the out-look is destitute, try the UP-look. 

DECEIT DESTROYED 
"For YOU are not a GOD (EL) wHO desires wickedness; evil cannot abide with YOU; wanton men cannot endure in YOUR sight. YOU detest all evildoers; YOU destroy those who speak lies; murderous, deceitful men the LORD abhors." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

The Hebrew word "mirmah" literally means false, guile, subtle, treachery, fraud, deceitful. The ALMIGHTY ONE is JUST & HOLY and HE hates deceit in all forms. HIS justice demands punishment for whoever will not accept HIS merciful sacrifice for sin. Deceivers are good for nothing, like salt that has lost its savor. The LORD GOD has no pleasure in this type of person. 

The evil and the wicked "cannot abide with YOU." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The word abide or dwell can also be translated as to stand in awe. "Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in dread (awe, trepidation, fear) of HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This is the only acceptable response to the LORD GOD, CREATOR of heaven and earth. Those who have received the LOVING CREATOR' S merciful grace can but bow in humble gratitude in the majestic PRESENCE of his RIGHTEOUS MAKER. The wicked and evil person has no intimate relationship with the BLESSED REDEEMER, but one day to HIM — "every knee shall bow." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

"The boastful shall not stand in YOUR sight; YOU hate all workers of iniquity." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] A fool rages and boasts of his own deeds, but he will not have any standing before OMNIPOTENT GOD WHOSE justice requires one-hundred percent holiness. And for those who work iniquity either systematically or habitually, the LORD pronounces HIS justice on these religious pretenders. HE will say to them, "I do not know you depart from ME, all you workers of iniquity." And, "there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." [Luke 13. 27 - 28] 

BIBLICAL hatred has no room for personalities. A hateful person is the same as one who opposes the LORD OF GLORY. To hate the HIGH & LOFTY MERCIFUL CREATOR is to be HIS enemy; and to hate TRUE & LIVING GOD is to find oneself outside HIS mercy. But all who fear HIS NAME can say — "I, through YOUR abundant love and mercy, will come into YOUR House; I bow down in awe and worship toward YOUR Holy Temple." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] On the other hand, "there shall by no means enter it (the New Heaven & Earth) anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE." [Revelation 21. 27] "And you shall know that I, the LORD your GOD (YEHOWAH ELOHEYKM), dwell in Zion, MY Holy Mount. Then Jerusalem shall be holy; nevermore shall strangers pass through her again." [Joel (Yoel) 3. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im] More and more, I long for the righteousness of CHRIST, my BELOVED REDEEMER.

Welcome Shabbat! – Come, let us go out to meet the Sabbath Queen, Sabbath presence, let us welcome. 
O FATHER in Heaven, in YOUR great love YOU appointed for us a day of rest, that in YOUR PRESENCE we may regain that freedom of the soul which comes through obedience to YOUR commandments. Quickened by YOUR spirit, may we learn how to ennoble the things of earth by sanctifying them to YOUR service. We honour and praise the LORD YESHUA, the BLESSED ONE, WHO separates the sacred from the mundane and gives true Sabbath peace and rest. May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel, Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
Repentance and good works are as a shield against retribution. 
THE BRANCH 
"In that day the radiance of the BRANCH OF THE LORD will lend beauty and glory; and of the splendid fruit, my LORD will give excellence of dignity and majestic (honor & glory) to the survivors of Israel." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

"THE BRANCH" is a fascinating title for MESSIAH, the PROMISED TRUE VINE, also being the BRANCH OF THE LORD, the SPLENDID FRUIT OF THE LAND. HE is beautiful, glorious, excellent and comely. . . all together lovely. "But, a ROD (Hebrew: choter ) shall come forth, a BRANCH (Hebrew: netser — descendant) shall grow out of the root of Jesse." This is speaking of the "GREATER SON" of King David, and "a BRANCH shall sprout from his stock (Hebrew: geze — to cut down, a trunk, stump {of a tree}). The SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon HIM: The SPIRIT of wisdom and understanding, the SPIRIT of counsel and might, the SPIRIT of knowledge and of the reverential fear of the LORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

There are two references in Jeremiah and two in Zechariah calling YESHUA ha’MASHIACH, "THE BRANCH." In the Jeremiah passages, HE is the BRANCH OF DAVID: "Behold, the day is coming — says the LORD — that I will raise to David a BRANCH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. " [Jeremiah/Yeshayah 23. 5; 33. 15] 

In Zechariah' s prophecy, MESSIAH YESHUA is called "GOD' S SERVANT and GOD'S MAN." "For behold, I am going to bring MY SERVANT THE BRANCH." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 3. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Behold the MAN, the future KING of David's line, called the BRANCH shall grow out from the place where HE is, and HE shall build the Temple of the LORD." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 6. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

This fourfold presentation of the BRANCH of David, the BRANCH as the SERVANT, the MAN WHO is the BRANCH and the BRANCH OF THE LORD beautifully corresponds to the four GOSPELS depiction of LORD MESSIAH JESUS as KING (Matthew), SERVANT (Mark), PERFECT MAN (Luke) and SON OF GOD (John). 

Just as a vine or a tree branch, when it first begins to shoot forth, it appears small and fragile and easily broken, so the Lord Messiah YESHUA appeared to be inconspicuous and unattractive. "For HE has grown, by HIS favor, as a TENDER PLANT, and as a TREE ROOT out of arid ground." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

Yet, this same FRAGILE BRANCH will one day become a GREAT VINE with innumerable branches [John 15. 5] that will spread its exceptionally admirable and wonderfully elegant fruit throughout the entire world. The LORD JESUS gives HIS PRECIOUS NAME to HIS people, they are called CHRISTians [Acts 11. 26], CHRIST-like- ones or sons of GOD. [John 1. 11 - 12; 1 John 3. 1 - 2] We, YESHUA'S branches, are to be like HE was in the world. If CHRIST JESUS is not our LORD, we are nothing. . . HE is everything wonderful!

As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly. 
Who is like YOU, AWESOME CREATOR GOD? Who is like YOU, glorious in holiness, revered in worship, wondrous in works? Eternal is YOUR power, O LORD, YOU are mighty to save. In loving-kindness YOU sustain the living; in the multitude of YOUR mercies, YOU preserve all. YOU uphold the falling, heal the sick; bring freedom to the captives and keep faith with YOUR children in death as in life. Who is like YOU, ALMIGHTY MASTER, AUTHOR of life and death, SOURCE of salvation? Truly, there is none like YOU, O LORD my GOD! 
May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout the week.

If a man must conduct himself humbly before a king of flesh and blood, how much more should he before the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD, CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE! 

MEMORIAL STONES 
"These [stones] shall be a sign among you: in time to come when your children ask— What is the meaning of these stones for you? — You shall tell them — The waters of the Jordan were cut off because of the Ark of the LORD'S Covenant; when it passed through the Jordan River, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.— And so these stones shall serve the people of Israel as a memorial for all time." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 4. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

The LORD ETERNAL spoke to Joshua, when all the people had crossed over the Jordan River, to have twelve men, one man from every tribe, take a stone from the place where the priests' feet stood firm and make a memorial where they lodged. [Joshua/Yehoshua 4. 1 - 5] "Joshua also set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, at the spot where the feet of the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant had stood; and they remained there to this day." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 4. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

From the time the Israelites came out of Egypt and crossed into the Promised Land, this "place of the crossing" has been a strategic location throughout Israel's history. This area is called "Beit Barah (House of the Ford)." 

GOD MOST HIGH used Ehud, the left-handed Benjamite, to deliver Israel in the days of the Judges. Ehud killed the king of Moab with a dagger, then delivered Israel at Beit-Barah. "Follow me closely — he said —for the LORD has delivered your enemies, the Moabites, into your hands.— They followed him down and seized the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites; they let no one cross." [Judges (Shofetim) 3. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] And Israel killed about 10,000 Moabites. Also, at the command of the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, Gideon defeated the Midianites calling the children of Ephraim to seize Beit-Barah and the Jordan. [Judges/Shofetim 6 & 7] 

In the NEW COVENANT, this is the area where John the Baptizer made the statement, "Bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not think to say to yourselves— We have Abraham as our father. —For I say to you that GOD is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones." [Matthew 3. 8 - 9] The stones John was referring to were the "stones of memorial" at Beit-Barah. John witnessed to the priests and Levites, the Pharisees and Sadducees that he was the "voice of one crying in the wilderness" to make straight the way of the LORD, and told them that THE ONE coming after him "is preferred before me, WHOSE sandal strap I am not worthy to loose." [John 1. 19 - 28] And, John baptized JESUS, the BREAD OF DELIVERANCE, in the Jordan River at the location called Bethabara (Beit-Barah) . [John 1. 29 - 34] 

Most assuredly, the ALMIGHTY ONE, the HOPE OF ISRAEL has a great love for the "Land" as well as the "People. " The LORD YESHUA will take away the "curse from the land" just as well as HE takes away the "curse of sin and damnation" from those who come to HIM for salvation. We are truly most blessed!

KISS THE SON 
"And we declare to you glad tidings — that promise which was made to the fathers. GOD has fulfilled this for us their children, in that HE has raised up MESSIAH YESHUA. As it is also written in the Second Psalm— YOU are MY SON, today I have begotten YOU." [Acts 13. 32 - 33] 

The HOLY SPIRIT OF THE LORD, through the psalmist David promised that one day the SON OF GOD would rise from the dead — the "first born from the dead." [Colossians 1. 18] Therefore, the GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL definitely was preached in the OLD COVENANT. The LORD YESHUA even quoted Psalm 110:1 to prove HIS OWN deity [Matthew 22. 43, 45] and Psalm 82:6 [John 10. 34 - 36] to uphold and support HIS claims. 

This particular passage in the Book of Acts teaches another truth that is often overlooked. By identifying the Second Psalm as such, the writer (through the FAITHFUL COMFORTER) tells us that the chapter divisions of the Book of Psalms were there by DIVINE INSTRUCTION from the beginning. Since each of the Psalms is a poem, it shows obvious verse divisions. It is not surprising then, that we can find many remarkable examples of plans and design from our marvelous CREATOR GOD in the very structure of the HIS PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD. 

Psalm 2, speaking of the ANOINTED ONE, is the first of the MESSIANIC Psalms, but actually, the LORD JESUS and HIS GOSPEL OF SALVATION are clearly present in each of the 150 Psalms. "Kiss the SON, give reverential respect, lest HE be angered, and your way be doomed in the mere flash of HIS anger. Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Faithfulness, mercy and truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss. Truth shall spring up from the earth, justice looks down from heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "He who gives a right answer is as though he kissed the lips." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

The Hebrew word "nashaq" could be translated as "kiss, touch, equip with weapons or rule." When we allow YESHUA ha'MASHIACH to be THE RULER of our lives, we unite with HIM in every aspect of our being. HE is the GREAT & MIGHTY GOD WHO goes before us and enjoins our lives. "Righteousness goes before HIM and HIS footsteps become our pathway." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

"In HIS forbearance, GOD had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time HIS righteousness, that HE might be just and the JUSTIFIER of the one who has faith in MESSIAH YESHUA." [Romans 3. 25 - 26] When the LORD JESUS, the ALPHA & OMEGA, is the center of our lives, we are well equipped with all we need supplied, for HE is our REFUGE & STRENGTH and has also become our DELIVERANCE; a MIGHTY KING is HE and HE is ever faithful.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
As the world could not exist without the winds, so is it impossible for the world to exist without Israel. [Talmud, Taan. 3b] 

MY HOLY NAME 
"So I will make MY HOLY NAME known in the midst of MY people Israel, and never again will I allow MY HOLY NAME to be profaned. Then the nations shall know that I am Yehowah Qadowsh Yisrael (the LORD, the HOLY ONE in Israel)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 39. 7 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

The OLD COVENANT is replete using the wonderful name of GOD, QADOWSH YEHOWAH — the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, most often used during the days of the later kings of Judah. The strong emphasis on this particular name is probably because of the prevalent un-holiness of the nation of Israel during those years — which finally culminated in the captivity of Judah itself. 

As stated, GOD repeatedly stresses HIS holiness: "For our shield belongs to Yehowah (the LORD), and our KING to the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL." [Psalms (Tehillym) 89. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim; also see 7l. 22; 78. 41] "For Israel is not forsaken (widowed), nor Judah, by Elohey (his GOD), Yehowah Tsebaovt (the LORD OF HOSTS), though their land was filled with sin against the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 51. 5 Tanakh, Nevi’im; also see 50. 29] "For HE WHO made you will espouse you — HIS NAME is — Yehowah Tsebaovt (LORD OF HOSTS) — The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL will redeem you — HE is called Elohey (GOD of) all the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 54. 5 Tanakh, Nevi’im; at least 27 times Isaiah describes GOD as the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL] 

And, we are commanded to be like our CREATOR, "I am Yehowah Eloheykm (the LORD your GOD). You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 11. 44 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "As HE WHO called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written — Be holy, for I am holy." [1 Peter 1. 15 - 16] 

The final occurrence of this MAJESTIC NAME is especially emphasized as the ANCIENT HERO in Israel given of the prophesied invasion of Israel when Gog, the Prince of Rosh of the Land of Magog whom the LORD GOD is against "will advance upon MY people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against MY land, that the nations may know ME when, before their eyes, I manifest MY holiness through you, O Gog!" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 38. 16 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

At that time, says the LORD, "On that day, when Gog sets foot on the soil of Israel — MY raging anger shall flare up. For I have decreed in MY jealousy and in the fire of My blazing wrath I have spoken: Surely in that day a great earthquake shall befall the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall quake at MY PRESENCE. Mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall crumble to the ground. — I will summon the sword against Gog throughout all MY mountains— says the LORD GOD —and every man's sword will turn against his brother. I will punish him with pestilence and bloodshed; I pour torrential rain, great hailstones, and sulfurous fire down on him, his hordes, and the many peoples with him. Thus I will magnify MY greatness and MY holiness, and make MYSELF known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am Yehowah (the LORD)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 38. 18 - 23 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

At last, the time is coming when the PRECIOUS NAME OF THE LORD will no longer be polluted, corrupted or dishonored and "from that day forward the House of Israel shall know that I Yehowah (the LORD) am Eloheyhem (their GOD)...Assuredly, thus says the LORD GOD— I will now restore the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole House of Israel; and I will be zealous for MY HOLY NAME...I will never again hide MY face from them; for I will pour out MY SPIRIT upon the House of Israel —declares the LORD GOD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 39. 22, 25, 29 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

Such a glorious day that will be, when GOD cleanses us from all our iniquities, when the HOLY ONE is revered in all nations, and in truth we are HIS holy people.

SWEET SMELL OF KNOWLEDGE 
"Now thanks be to GOD WHO always leads us in triumph in CHRIST, and through us diffuses the fragrance of HIS knowledge in every place." [2 Corinthians 2. 14] 

There is a special sweet fragrance that is dispersed and spreads throughout the world, which comes from redeemed ones living a CHRIST-filled life. "For we are to GOD the aroma of CHRIST among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the WORD OF GOD for profit. On the contrary, in CHRIST we speak before GOD with sincerity, like men sent from GOD." [2 Corinthians 2. 15 - 17] 

In an acrostic poem, the delightful psalmist encouragingly persuades us to, "Taste and see how good the LORD is; blessed is the man who takes refuge in HIM! Fear the LORD, you his consecrated ones, for those who fear HIM lack nothing...those who seek the LORD lack no good thing." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 9 – 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] From Solomon' s Song of Songs, the sweet ROSE OF SHARON, the LILY OF THE VALLEYS— "my perfume gave forth its fragrance. My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh resting between my breasts. My beloved to me is a spray of henna blooms from the vineyards of En-Gedi." [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 1. 12 – 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

Like an offering before the LORD, we are to be an offering of pleasing odor to the LORD our GOD. "When I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands in which you are scattered, I will accept you as a sweet and pleasing aroma and I will be sanctified in you before the Gentiles. Then, when I have brought you into the land of Israel, to the country for which I lifted MY hand in an oath to give to your fathers, you shall know that I am the LORD. There you shall remember your ways and all the acts by which you defiled yourselves; and you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all the evils that you have committed. Then, O House of Israel, you shall know that I am the LORD, when I deal with you for MY NAME'S sake —not in accordance with your wicked ways and your corrupt acts— declares the LORD GOD." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 20. 41 – 44 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

"Therefore be followers of GOD as dear children. And walk in love, as CHRIST also has loved us and given HIMSELF for us, an offering and a sacrifice to GOD for a sweet-smelling aroma." [Ephesians 5. 1 - 2] 

Know that your gifts are fruits to your account, "a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to GOD." Assuredly, "my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS. Now to our GOD and FATHER be glory forever and ever, Amen" [Philippians 4. 19 - 20] Daily offer sacrifices of sweet aroma to the precious GOD OF HEAVEN, for HE is praiseworthy.

MISHKAN COVERING (Part 2 of 2) 
"As for the lower cover of the Tabernacle, make it of ten strips of cloth; make these of fine twisted linen, of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, with a design of cherubim worked into them." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 1 Tanakh, Torah] 

The cherubim (according to Ezekiel' s vision) had four faces. [Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 1. 10; 10. 21] These Four Creatures are among the highest in the world— The Lion among wild beasts; the Ox among tame cattle, the Eagle among birds; and Man among all creatures; but, GOD is supreme over all. The OX, LION, MAN and EAGLE tell us of the Four-Fold Ministry of the UNIVERSAL MESSIAH: 

THE OX (MESSIAH is symbolized as the SERVANT in Mark's Gospel) is the patient, enduring SERVANT of man. The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA came as a "SERVANT" — HE is the BELOVED SAVIOR/REDEEMER. YESHUA serves mankind with HIS wonderful salvation. HE came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and give HIS life a ransom for many. [Matthew 20. 28] 

THE LION (The LORD JESUS is shown as the KING in Matthew' s Gospel) is the king of beasts. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH has power and dominion on the earth. Our WONDERFUL LORD is called "The LION of the tribe of Judah." HE has all dominion and did exercise this power while on earth as KING OF THE JEWS. HE came to destroy the works of Satan. [1 John 3. 8] CHRIST JESUS is the GREAT PHYSICIAN. 

THE EAGLE (John's text shows CHRIST JESUS to be the SON OF THE LIVING GOD) is the king of the birds, soaring high into the heavens and most feared by the snake. JESUS is the KING of kings. HE is the MIGHTY BAPTIZER with the HOLY SPIRIT [Matthew 3. 11] causing HIS people to rise on wings into the Heavens with HIM. 

THE MAN (Luke pictures YESHUA, the SON OF MAN) Daniel saw YESHUA coming in the Clouds of Glory calling HIM the "SON OF MAN." When the LORD JESUS came the first time, HE was rejected of man; but when HE returns, HE will be THE MAN over men, the PRAISEWORTHY RULER over mankind. All the governments of the world shall be upon HIS shoulder. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] Our SOVEREIGN LORD will reign forever and ever! 

According to Jewish teachings: "The encampment of Israel around the Tabernacle was marked by banners or standards picturing the four-faces of the cherubim. The banner of the first three tribes bore the outline of a Lion, the second pictured Man, the third was an image of an Ox, and the fourth was the emblem of an Eagle — thus representing the same idea as the cherubim in the Holiest, the Veil, and the Tabernacle Coverings." 

This PROMISED MESSIAH is the fulfillment of all these emblems and designs. HE is the STANDARD or BANNER heading all HIS redeemed. JESUS' SOVEREIGN NAME is YEHOWAH-NISSI, "The LORD, my BANNER." [Exodus/Shemot 17. 15]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

MISHKAN COVERING (Part 1 of 2) 
"As for the lower cover of the Tabernacle, make it of ten strips of cloth; make these of fine twisted linen, of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, with a design of cherubim worked into them." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 1 Tanakh, Torah] 

This covering is first of four made especially for the Tabernacle in the Wilderness — the LORD GOD wishes to dwell with HIS people. The Hebrew word for tabernacle is "mishkan" — and the word "sheka" means "to dwell." Combined, one gets the word SHEKINAH meaning the place where GOD dwells. The DIVINE ONE gives instructions concerning this curtain before any specifications for the other coverings of the building. GOD'S dwelling is first "…in the beginning, GOD". . . HE begins from HIMSELF. 

OMNISCIENT ALMIGHTY GOD begins HIS instructions for its building with the ceiling. From the highest, GOD OMNIPOTENT comes down from Heaven, to earth. Each covering represents the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. 

The Mishkan (Tabernacle) was to be of fine-twisted linen. Twined refers to the work of bleaching the linen, then twisting it to force the water out. Fine denotes spotlessness, innocence, and faultlessness as is seen in MESSIAH, the ANOINTED ONE. [Matthew 27. 3 - 4; 1 Peter 1. 19; 2. 22; 2 Corinthians 5. 21] YESHUA ha’MASHIACH was righteous, loved righteousness, and did right in all things. [Hebrews 1. 9] HE is the "RIGHTEOUS BRANCH." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 11; Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 23. 5; Luke 23. 47; 1 John 2. 1] 

This was the ceiling and completed the building. Without this covering that Holy Structure would be open and unfinished. So, when we step into the LORD YESHUA, HE makes us righteous. [1 Corinthians 1. 30] The ANOINTED ONE completes us, for we are covered over by HIM and called "the very righteousness of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 21] 

The colors of this curtain are significant. First, the curtains themselves are of White Linen. This tells of MESSIAH' S righteousness. Blue is typical of Heaven, a serene color closely linked with gold, which represents DIVINITY. [Exodus/Shemot 28. 6, 15; 39. 2, 5, 8] JESUS came from Heaven. This is the first color, GOD is first. Scarlet is last; it is the color significant of earth. "Adam" is literally translated as "red earth." JESUS, the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, is the "LAST ADAM." HE not only came from Heaven (blue), but HE came from earth (red). 

Purple is the blending in-between color, blending the red and blue harmoniously. Purple is the royal color and is the emblem of heavenly and earthly glory. The LORD MESSIAH is as the purple, for HE is the GOD-MAN (blue-red). HE is the ROYAL ONE (purple), the KING of the Jews (red), and the KING of kings (blue). The EXALTED ONE said, "…with cherubim of CUNNING WORK shall you make them." Cunning work is a weaving which penetrates both sides. This represents workmanship of a more skillful and costly kind than needlework. The SKILLFUL WEAVER is the HOLY SPIRIT. The glory of GOD is hidden to all who stand outside the LORD JESUS. 

These elaborate curtains were to hide the sacred furniture and services of the sanctuary from those on the outside. Only those who enter the Tabernacle saw the glory, beauty exhibited by the colors and design of the inner curtains, the beautiful gold-covered boards and furniture, etc. GOD THE FATHER is only known in MESSIAH YESHUA. Here on the inside, the skillful weaving is predominate in the PERSON, LIFE and MINISTRY of the LORD JESUS. The cunning weave of the colors perfectly blended together with the design of the cherubim all tell us of the perfect work of the HOLY SPIRIT. 

The "Curious Work" of GOD in this first curtain also speaks of the ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT in the believer. [Ephesians 2. 10; 4. 24; Colossians 3. 10] We are HIS workmanship and are identified with MESSIAH in the cunning work. By the HOLY SPIRIT, we are born of HIM, caught up in the curtain, inter-twined with CHRIST THE REDEEMER, woven in HIM and partakers of the divine nature! The Mishkan curtain covered the boards of the building. The GREAT ENABLER, the HOLY SPIRIT covers, envelopes, submerges the church, and baptizes the believer with HIMSELF. This is the great desire and promise of the HEAVENLY FATHER.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
GOD knows, not only the deeds of the hand, but also the neglect of the heart. 

SUFFERING & TRIUMPH 
"I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End" —says the Lord— "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." [Revelation 1. 8] 

There are seven great "I AM" — in the last book of the HOLY WRIT that are assertions by the glorified MESSIAH, all speaking of HIS ultimate victory over sin and death. However, in the book of Psalms seven vastly different "I AM" occur that speak prophetically of HIS sufferings. These are in four of the wonderfully fulfilled MESSIANIC psalms, all written some thousand years before HE came to earth, yet each psalm citied in the NEW COVENANT is fulfilled by the ANOINTED ONE: 
"I AM a worm, and no man; less than human scorned by men, despised by the people." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This verse compares SUFFERING MESSIAH to a mother “scarlet worm” who dies that her young may live, and in so doing, gives off a scarlet fluid which protects and nourishes her young. 
"I AM poor and needy." [Psalms/Tehillym 40. 17] 
"I AM a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother's children." [Psalms/Tehillym 69. 8] "For even HIS brothers did not believe in HIM." [John 7. 6] 
"Reproach breaks my heart, I am in despair; I looked for someone to take pity, but there is none; for comforters, but find none." [Psalms (Tehillym) 69. 20 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 
"I AM poor and sorrowful." [Psalms/Tehillym 69. 29] 
"I AM like a sparrow alone on the housetop." [Psalms/Tehillym 102. 7] 
"MY days are like a lengthened shadow; I AM withered like grass." [Psalms (Tehillym) 102. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

In contrast to these lonely sufferings of the SUFFERING MESSIAH, there are the glories that shall follow. The first being the opening text, followed by: 
"I AM Alpha and the Omega, the FIRST and the LAST." [Revelation 1. 11] 
"I AM the FIRST and the LAST. I AM He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I AM alive forevermore. Amen" [Revelation 1. 17 - 18] 
"I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts." [Revelation 21. 6] 
"I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the FIRST and the LAST." [Revelation 22. 13] 

The self-existing ONE, the I AM, YEHOWAH, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO created all things (Alpha) will one day triumph and make all things new, forever (Omega). This magnificent self-affirmation of the LORD YESHUA saturates and permeates HOLY SCRIPTURES from its first use, "I Am a SHIELD to you; your EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD" [Genesis/Bereshith 15. 1] to its final occurrence "I Am the BRIGHT & MORNING STAR." [Revelation 22. 16] 

"He who testifies to these things says— "Surely I AM coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 
The grace of our Lord Jesus CHRIST be with you all. Amen." [Revelation 22. 20 - 21]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
The day is short, the work is plentiful, the laborers are slothful, the reward is much, and the MASTER is urgent. 

COUNTED WORTHY 
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the SON OF MAN." [Luke 21. 36] 

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA spoke these words as HE taught of HIS second coming, thus directing us to prepare our minds and hearts to "bear fruits worthy of repentance" [Matthew 3. 8] that we might escape the wrath that ALMIGHTY GOD will soon bring upon this corrupt and sinful world. The SOVEREIGN LORD is coming for those "who have not defiled their garments" and who walk daily with the RIGHTEOUS ONE in obedience of HIS commands; they too shall walk with HIM "in white, for they are worthy." [Revelation 3. 4] 

Although some may preach and profess that man can never be worthy, the LORD JESUS would not have commanded the impossible, for with HIM, all things are possible. "He who does not take his cross and follow after ME is not worthy of ME." [Matthew 10. 38] 

The Apostle Paul continued to instruct and admonish us to walk worthy: "I, therefore, the prisoner of the LORD, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called." [Ephesians 4. 1] "We exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of GOD WHO calls you into HIS OWN Kingdom and glory." [1 Thessalonians 2. 11 - 12] 

May you be filled with the "knowledge of HIS will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing HIM, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of GOD." [Colossians 1. 9 - 10] "In all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of GOD, that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of GOD, for which you also suffer." [2 Thessalonians 1. 4 - 5] 

When YESHUA ha'MASHIACH returns, those found worthy will be ruptured (caught up). "For the LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And the dead in CHRIST will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

Those not worthy will be left behind. "It is a righteous thing with GOD to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. These shall be punished with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the PRESENCE OF THE LORD and from the glory of HIS power, when HE comes, in that Day, to be glorified in HIS saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. Therefore we also pray always for you that our GOD would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of HIS goodness and the work of faith with power." [2 Thessalonians 1. 6 – 11; Psalms/Tehillym 50. 1 - 6] 

As saints of the MOST HIGH GOD we are called to be worthy to escape, worthy to walk in the white garments, worthy of the calling, worthy of YESHUA OF NAZARETH and worthy of the Kingdom of GOD; just as the LAMB OF GOD proves to be worthy of all worship, adoration and praise with GOD THE FATHER: "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing! Amen" [Revelation 5. 12] Yes and Amen!

HE shows compassion according to the multitude of HIS mercies, HIS faithfulness is great. For those who wait on HIM, the LORD is good; and souls that hunger after HIM shall be satisfied, fully contented in HIS PRESENCE.

"For the LORD GOD is SUN ("YINNON" ) and SHIELD; the LORD bestows grace and glory; HE does not withhold HIS bounty from those who walk without blame." [Psalms (Tehillym) 84. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

In the innumerable mercies of our RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD, HE will not forsake us in our wilderness journey, nor will HE depart from us day or night. HE has sent us HIS HOLY SPIRIT to instruct us and never withholds any good thing from us that HE may give us according to the riches of HIS glory to strengthen us. "And my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS." [Philippians 4. 19] 

"But to you who revere MY NAME the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ("TSEDEQ" ) shall rise with healing in HIS Wings." [Malachi (Malakhi) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This prophecy was completed in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem (wings/fringe on the Prayer Shawl/Tallit) of the LORD'S garment for healing, it was immediately granted to her. 

"Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and attain knowledge of GOD. For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS decree. HE reserves sound wisdom for the upright and is a SHIELD for those who live blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice, protecting the way of HIS saints. You will then understand what is right, just, equitable — every good path." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 5 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

"And the WORD became FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the FATHER, full of grace and truth." [John 1. 14] We have been justified by faith in the LORD JESUS, "to the praise of the glory of HIS grace, by which HE has made us accepted in the BELOVED." [Ephesians 1. 6] 

"Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; HIS greatness cannot be fathomed. The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in kindness. The LORD is good to all, and HIS mercy is upon all HIS works. COMPROMISING & TOLERANCE 
"Assuredly, this is the declaration of the SOVEREIGN, the LORD OF HOSTS, the MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL: —Ah, I will get satisfaction from MY foes; I will wreak vengeance on MY enemies! I will turn MY hand against you, and purge out your dross as with lye in a crucible, and take away all your alloy and slag." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 1. 24 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

I am certain that the MIGHTY OMNISCIENT RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of all ages has a special hell for fence-sitters. . . at least HE truly will judge them accordingly. Compromising (fence-setting) may be a survival technique that people have developed so they do not offend those who's beliefs differ from their own. 

The LORD GOD is good, longsuffering, and HIS mercy endures forever to those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the HOUSE OF THE LORD. [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 33. 11] Although ALMIGHTY GOD is compassionate and merciful, HE will not tolerate one who's mind-set is to sin, "As the LORD once delighted in making you prosperous and many, so the LORD will now delight in causing you to perish and in wiping you out; you shall be torn from the land that you are about to enter and possess." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 28. 64 Tanakh, Torah] 

The LORD GOD ETERNAL alone is the UNIQUE MEASURE and PERSONIFICATION OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH. HE only is the CREATOR & SUSTAINER of everything in the heavens and the earth; and "in HIS hand, HE controls your life breath and all your ways." [Daniel (Danyel) 5. 23 - 24 Tanakh, Kethuvim; also see Job/Iyob 12. 10] 

Paul the apostle warned against compromising the SACRED SCRIPTURES or tolerating any new concepts or re-defining the WORD OF GOD. "But there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the GOSPEL OF CHRIST. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." [Galatians 1. 7 - 9] "For if he who comes preaches another JESUS whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted — you may well put up with it!" [2 Corinthians 11. 4] 

When we tolerate what the ETERNAL LIVING GOD does not tolerate, what the HOLY BIBLE calls sin or iniquity — or compromise what the LORD SUPREME says is true for the sake of peace, we are falling short of the work we have been responsibly entrusted to do by the LORD YESHUA. Paul teaches that we are to "pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses... I urge you in the sight of GOD WHO gives life to all things...keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our LORD JESUS CHRIST appears." [1 Timothy 6. 11 - 15] 

"If it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve...But I and my household will serve the LORD, ELOHEY OF ISRAEL." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 24. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Who are you serving?

DISCERNING FALSE PROPHETS 
"And should you ask yourselves— How can we know that the word was not spoken by the LORD? — IF the prophet speaks in the NAME of the LORD and the oracle does not come true, that oracle was not spoken by the LORD; the prophet has uttered it presumptuously; do not stand in dread (be afraid) of him." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 18. 21 - 22 Tanakh, Torah] 

The test a true prophet of the LIVING LORD is to consider what they say. Do they call everyone to repent of their evil ways and doings and turn wholeheartedly back to ALMIGHTY GOD? The MOST HOLY ONE said, "IF they had stood in MY counsel, let them announce MY words to MY people, then they would have turned them from their evil ways and from the wicked acts they are doing." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

Because they seek to entice you away from the LORD your GOD, the penalty for a false prophet was death. "Do not assent or give heed to him. Show him no pity or compassion, and do not shield him; but take his life. Let your hand be the first against him to put him to death, and the hand of the rest of the people thereafter. Stone him to death, for he sought to make you stray from the LORD your GOD, WHO brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid, and such evil things will not be done again in your midst." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 9 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im] To our shame and ultimate ruin, we have accepted and honored the false teachers instead of following the ALMIGHTY' S commands to destroy evil from among us. This is bringing GOD'S just wrath upon the whole world. 

The testing of a prophet should never be based entirely on his ability to perform signs and wonders; but on the message he speaks. "If there appears among you a prophet or a dream-diviner and he gives you a sign or a wonder, saying— Let us follow and worship another god —whom you have not experienced — even if the sign or wonder that he named to you comes true, you shall not heed or listen to the words of that prophet or that dream-diviner. For the LORD your GOD is testing you to see whether you really love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Torah] 

Absolute harmony of the prophet' s message and deeds with the revealed WORD OF GOD, and the wholehearted commitment to the HOLY ONE HIMSELF, is an immediate test of a true prophet. His inward attitude will be expressed and he will walk after the LORD in fear and reverence, keep HIS commandments, and obey HIM — serving the LORD and clinging to HIS promises. "Follow none but the LORD your GOD, and revere none but HIM; observe HIS commandments alone, and heed only HIS orders; worship none but HIM, and hold fast to HIM." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 5 Tanakh, Torah] Then, it will be well with our souls.

O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile (deceit). Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when woe bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trials and temptations and to be humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER. Guide me by the LIGHT of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU — my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Praised be the LORD GOD ETERNAL to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. Amen! 
To have hope that is certain and faith that is sure, we must spend some time daily in GOD’S WORD to us so we can learn, understand and be firmly grounded in what HE has to teach us. How can we follow someone we don’t truly know and trust? We must read to know because the ONLY SOURCE of truth is what is written.

WATCHMAN’S DUTY 
"When I (the LORD speaking to Ezekiel) say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 3. 18 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

The SOVEREIGN LORD GOD had appointed Ezekiel as watchman for the House of Israel. This word of warning is repeated frequently for confirmation (see Chapters 3, 18 & 33) that the concept is sure and established — "Now, O man, I have appointed you a watchman...whenever you hear a word from MY mouth, you must warn them for ME. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' but you have not spoken to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his sins; but I will demand a reckoning for his blood from you. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked man to turn back from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his own iniquity; but you will have delivered your soul." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 33. 7 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "The soul who sins, only he shall die." [[Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 4, 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im] 

This message has a broad purpose, not only for Israel, but for the soon-coming judgment on the Gentile nations that are well in-line for GOD’S wrath. The peoples are all responsible for their own sins, even those who have a form of righteousness or religion — that will never save them, and they will be judged for their unfaithfulness, 

"Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people — 'The righteousness of the righteous man shall not save him when he transgresses; nor shall the wickedness of the wicked cause him to stumble in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.' When I say of the righteous — ‘he shall surely live’ — but he trusts in his own righteousness, he commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. So too, when I say to the wicked— 'You shall surely die' — if he turns from his sinfulness and does what is just and right — if the wicked man restores the pledge, makes good what he has stolen, follows the laws of life [Leviticus 18.5] and does not commit iniquity — he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live. 
"Yet the children of your people say — 'The way of the LORD is unfair.’ — But it is their way which is not fair! When the righteous man turns away from his righteous deeds and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it. And when the wicked man turns back from his wickedness and does what is just and right, it is he who shall live by virtue of these things. Yet will you say — 'The way of the LORD is not fair'? O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 33. 12 - 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im] GOD’S judgment is impartial and precise. 

"If you refrained from rescuing those taken off to death, those condemned to slaughter, if you say— We knew nothing of it! —surely HE WHO fathoms hearts will discern the truth, HE WHO watches over your life will know it, and HE will pay each man as he deserves." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 11 – 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him...but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 19. 17 – 18 Tanakh, Torah] 

We who are true followers of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA are to be witnesses as well as watchmen: "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." [Mark 16. 15 - 16] YESHUA opened the minds of HIS disciples concerning SCRIPTURES that they might comprehend what was written of HIM in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms when HE said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the CHRIST to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in HIS NAME to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses (watchmen) of these things." [Luke 24. 46 - 48] "You shall receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." [Acts 1. 8] 

The LORD YESHUA gave HIS life as atonement for the sins of the world, this was GOD'S doing. Like the LoVING SAVIOR, the FAITHFUL & TRUE SHEPHERD, we must be about our FATHER’S business proclaiming the GOOD NEWS, and "keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh." [Jude 21 - 23] 

Just as sure as it is decreed (pronounced, declared, established) , that judgment will come to those who hear and reject, there is a great blessing for those who are faithful witnesses (watchmen), and to those who hear and repent.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
O LORD our MIGHTY KING, YOU gave us this great and holy seventh day in love, for which we bless and praise YOU. 

BE SEPARATE 
"Come out from among them and be separate — says the LORD. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a FATHER to you, and you shall be MY sons and daughters— says the LORD ALMIGHTY." [2 Corinthians 6. 17 - 18] 

This SCRIPTURE is talking about false teachings. To our tragic misfortune and affliction, the DOCTRINE of SEPARATION from "the unclean thing" is neglected today by many who profess to be CHRIST-like- ones. The Apostle Paul is warning against and earnestly urging us to "cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of GOD." [2 Corinthians 7. 1] Correspondingly in the OLD COVENANT, the commandment is there— "Depart! Turn Away! touch nothing unclean as you depart from there; KEEP PURE, as you go forth from there, you who bear the vessels of the LORD!" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

The "vision of holiness" is lost among many large divisions of the evangelical community; and people are loosing their will to survive. Instead of contending (fighting) for the faith, they accommodate other religions with vastly deviant doctrines and heretical or cultic theological systems as the wave of the future floods over them. Therefore, Evangelism becomes offensive and "defending the faith" becomes contemptuous according to the religiously [in-] correct rule of conduct. 
In reality, such accommodation is a new, more seductive form of universality than the brand liberal religionists passed off on a number of major denominations more than a half-century ago. This is a concept of humanism, communism, socialism, etc. which promotes a kind of brotherhood through forfeiture, surrendering, or relinquishment that does not and cannot exist in reality for anyone. 

Separation does not mean to discontinue any contact at all with unbelievers "since then you would need to go out of the world." [1 Corinthians 5. 10] YESHUA, the LORD & KING commanded us to— "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." [Mark 16. 15] HE also prayed to the FATHER — "not that YOU should take them out of the world, but that YOU should keep them from the evil one." [John 17. 15] 

The LORD GOD OF HOSTS does demand, however, that we are not to compromise with unbelief or with the unclean thing. We are "born anew" into the family of the ALMIGHTY & HOLY GOD through simple faith in the PERSON and saving work of the LORD JESUS. The full manifestation and fellowship of our relation with the HEAVENLY FATHER as HIS spiritual sons and daughters is based on the profound principle of "separation from all unbelief and filthiness of the flesh" with YESHUA ha'MASHIACH as our PERFECT EXAMPLE. "For such a HIGH PRIEST was fitting for us, WHO is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens." [Hebrews 7. 26] 

It is one thing to have eternal life by faith (trust); it is quite another thing to have abundant life by faith (confidence) . It is one thing for you to become the righteousness of GOD in MESSIAH YESHUA — and another for you to realize HIS righteous life is in you. And, to realize the life you live in MESSIAH is compared to HIM living life through you. 

We are specifically warned to turn away from those who present false doctrine while "having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof." [2 Timothy 3. 5] This is particularly applicable today for those who attempt to accommodate the coarse unrefined attitude of modern humanism and make it appear to be within the HOLY WRITTEN SCRIPTURES. We are to be a holy, undefiled, separate, unique, set-apart, extraordinarily special people to GOD MOST HIGH having the sweet fragrance of HIS PRESENCE dwelling withIN us.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
Ani l’dodi v’dodi lee — "I am to my BELOVED and my BELOVED is to me." [Song of Songs 6:3] These words sum up the relationship between GOD and HIS people. 

POWER OF HIS PRESENCE 
"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the LORD." [2 Corinthians 5. 8] 

This is a wonderful phrase of hope to those who have lost a loved one in death, if that soul has not spurned the magnificent love of GOD, whose life has produced a good CHRISTian testimony. Those who remain can be confident "concerning those who have fallen asleep" we do not "sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that JESUS died and rose again, even so GOD will bring with HIM those who sleep in JESUS." [1 Thessalonians 4. 13 - 14] "The presence of the LORD" and "the glory of HIS power" will be manifest "when HE comes, in that Day, to be glorified in HIS saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed." [2 Thessalonians 1. 9 - 10] 

Sadly however, there are many others who are "without CHRIST...aliens and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without GOD in the world." [Ephesians 2. 12] Although the LORD YESHUA has paid the full redemption price on the cross to have their sins forgiven and to give them eternal life, they refuse and despise HIS love and free gift of salvation. MESSIAH grieved when HE made this statement concerning them, "you are not willing to come to ME that you may have life." [John 5. 40] 

The time of judgment is near at hand when they will unfortunately will learn that "anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 15] However, all who know the joy of the presence of the BELOVED REDEEMER can know, as did Paul, that "to live is CHRIST, and to die is gain." [Philippians 1. 21] Then also, King David professed about the LORD— "YOU will teach me the path of life. In YOUR presence is perfect joy; delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim; also Acts 2. 28] 

We are confident also that MESSIAH YESHUA has risen from the dead "and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep...even so in MESSIAH all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: CHRIST the firstfruits, afterward those who are CHRIST’S at HIS coming." [1 Corinthians 15. 20, 22 - 23] Throughout eternity we will be in the presence of HIS glory for HE will change our old body, whether in the grave or still living when HE comes HE, "will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to HIS glorious body, according to the working by which HE is able even to subdue all things to HIMSELF." [Philippians 3. 21] 

Though it is not fully revealed what we shall be, "we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is and everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 2] The magnificent power of HIS glorious presence is an anticipated desire worth living and waiting for!

MESSIAH IN THE OLD COVENANT          
"Let me tell of the decree: the LORD said to me — YOU are MY SON, I have fathered YOU this day." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There are many monotheists today (specifically Muslims, Jews and liberal Christians) who believe in one SUPREME GOD, but reject the deity of MESSIAH YESHUA. They argue that the doctrine that YESHUA was the unique SON OF THE MIGHTY GOD OF ISRAEL was invented by the early Christians and that the GOD of the OLD COVENANT had no SON. Orthodox Jews, in particular emphasize the Shema: "Hear, O Israel—the LORD our GOD, the LORD is one." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 6. 4 ]  And the Muslims acknowledge that Allah has no sons, proving the one they worship is not the HIGH & HOLY GOD OF CREATION. 

The fact, however, is that there are numerous verses in the OLD COVENANT that speak to prove that OMNIPOTENT GOD has an ONLY BEGOTTEN SON: The great promise of SOVEREIGN GOD to David affirms, "I will raise up your offspring after you...I will be a FATHER to HIM, and HE shall be MY SON...before ME YOUR Throne shall be established forever." [2 Samuel (Shemuel Bet) 7. 12, 14, 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Agur asked a rhetorical question: "WHO has ascended into heaven and come down? WHO has gathered the wind in the hollow of HIS hands? WHO has bound the waters in a garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the earth? What is HIS NAME, or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  

The book of Isaiah is replete with prophecies related to the ANOINTED SON OF GOD MOST HIGH: "Assuredly, my LORD will give you a sign of HIS OWN accord — Look, the virgin (Hebrew: almah— an engaged virgin) shall conceive and bear a SON, and shall call HIS NAME IMMANU'EL (literally meaning: with us is GOD)." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 7. 14]  "For a CHILD has been born to us, a SON has been given us. Authority will be upon HIS shoulder. And, HIS NAME will be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. Of the increase of HIS government and limitless peace there will be no end. Upon the David's Throne and over HIS Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even evermore. The zeal of the LORD OF HOSTS shall bring this to pass." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] 

"Behold! MY SERVANT WHOM I uphold, MY ELECT ONE in WHOM I delight! I have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM; HE will teach the true way to the Gentiles. HE will not cry out, nor raise HIS voice, nor cause HIS voice to be heard in the street. A BRUISED REED, HE shall not break, and SMOKING FLAX, HE will not be snuffed out. HE will bring forth justice for truth. HE will not fail nor be discouraged, till HE has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for HIS Teachings. Thus says GOD THE LORD, WHO created the heavens and stretched them out, WHO spread forth the earth and what it brings forth, WHO gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk thereon...The LORD goes forth like a MIGHTY MAN; HE shall stir up HIS zeal like a man of war. HE shall cry out; Yes, shout aloud, HE shall prevail against HIS enemies." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 1 – 5, 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  

Then there is the most definitely marvelous verse regarding JESUS, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD found in the MESSIANIC Psalms which concludes with this exhortation: "Kiss the SON, lest HE be angry and you perish in the way when HIS wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  Assuredly, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the HOLY ONE OF OLD, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, the FIRST-BORN of the MOST HIGH the EXALTED KING of all ages.  How truly amazing our GOD is!

The conscience is a delicate instrument which becomes deranged by misuse. 

YES & AMEN          
"For all the promises of GOD in HIM are YES! and in HIM AMEN! to the glory of GOD through us." [2 Corinthians 1. 20]

The word "Amen" is a most remarkable word; it was translated directly from the Hebrew word "aman" which is related to the word for believe or faithful.  Therefore, it came to mean "sure, truly, so it will be" an expression of absolute trust and confidence.

Also in the Hebrew interpretation, Amen is an acrostic — "EL MELECH NE'EMAN"  or, "The LORD is a TRUSTWORTHY KING." Blessed be HE and blessed be the GLORIOUS NAME OF THE LORD forever and ever!  "Let the NAME of YEHOWAH be blessed now and forever. From east (rising of the sun) to west (its going down) the NAME of YEHOWAH is praised." [Psalms (Tehillym) 113. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the titles of MESSIAH YESHUA is "THE AMEN."  In the Book of Revelation, the last of HIS Letters to the seven churches begins with a distinguished greeting from the GLORIFIED LORD:  "These things says the AMEN, the FAITHFUL and TRUE WITNESS, the BEGINNING of the creation of GOD." [Revelation 3. 14]  We can be absolutely certain that HIS WORD is always faithful and true, because HE is the CREATOR of all things, HE is our "ETERNAL AMEN."

Every promise of the LORD GOD in CHRIST JESUS is "YES! & AMEN!" — as strong an affirmation of truth as can be expressed in a language.  Therefore, it is extremely meaningful that the HOLY SCRIPTURES close with a thunderous AMEN! "The grace of our LORD JESUS be with you all. Amen!" [Revelation 22. 21]  All who read these LIFE-GIVING Words can know beyond all reasoning that the entire BOOK of books is absolutely true and trustworthy. Amen!  Read and believe (obey), it is the GREATEST MESSAGE (REVEALED TRUTH) ever told!  "Blessed be YEHOWAH ELOHEY of Israel forevermore, from eternity to eternity! Amen and Amen." [Psalms (Tehillym) 41. 13; 89. 52 Tanakh, Kethuvim] There is indescribable overwhelming joy in obeying and serving the LOVING LORD GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.

What you are is GOD'S gift to you, what you make of yourself is your gift to GOD.

THE TRUE GOD          
"Whatever is by order of the GOD OF HEAVEN must be carried out diligently for the HOUSE OF THE GOD OF HEAVEN, else wrath will come upon the king and his sons." [Ezra 7. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Artaxerxes, the emperor of Persia, gave this decree to Ezra the scribe as another of the surprising acknowledgments in HOLY SCRIPTURE by pagan idolaters that the TRUE GOD is "the GOD OF HEAVEN."  Abimelech, of the Philistines, and Pharaoh in Egypt also were compelled to acknowledge the ONE TRUE & LIVING LORD GOD. [Genesis/Bereshith 21. 22; 41. 38]  Balaam, the false prophet of Mesopotamia, recognized that the LORD OF ISRAEL was omnipotent.  "I have no power to speak freely. I can utter only the word that GOD puts into my mouth, that I must speak." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 22. 38 Tanakh, Torah] 

Nebuchadnezzar, the mighty king of Babylon spoke these words, "I bless the MOST HIGH and praise and glorify the EVER-LIVING ONE, WHOSE dominion is an everlasting dominion and WHOSE kingdom endures throughout the generations. All the inhabitants of the earth are of no account. HE does as HE wishes with the host of heaven, and with the inhabitants of the earth. There is none to stay HIS hand or say to HIM — What have YOU done?" [Daniel (Danyel) 4. 31 - 32 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

The nations and the leaders of the world were and still are guilty of a dangerous and foolish sin; they "changed the glory of the incorruptible GOD into an image made like corruptible man...birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things" preferring to worship and serve the creature more than the marvelous CREATOR.  Such a person is without excuse, inasmuch as creation itself reveals the MASTER DESIGNER.  "For since the creation of the world HIS invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and GODhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew GOD, they did not glorify HIM as GOD, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools. Therefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of GOD for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the CREATOR, WHO is blessed forever. Amen" [Romans 1. 20 - 25]  They conceived a form of religion replacing the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD with nature, denying any real creation, and this led to idolatry of worshipping nature and forces in nature, and setting up various gods and goddesses.

However, in their hearts they know that there really is a "GOD OF HEAVEN" WHO created all things and WHO will someday come in great wrath against all who reject HIM.  Those who discard and refuse HIS GRACE are left with HIS LAW. 

"For all the gods of the peoples are mere idols; but the LORD GOD made the heavens." [Psalms (Tehillym) 96. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "The LORD will show HIMSELF terrible against them, reducing all the gods of the earth to nothing; all the coastlands of the nations shall bow down to HIM and worship — every man in his own home." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 2. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  Blessed be the HOLY NAME OF YEHOWAH now and forever more! Amen & Amen!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no distance between people of like precious faith. 

GLORY IN TRIBULATION        
"We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." [Romans 5. 3 - 4]

The ability to endure suffering and loss with joy is one the most powerful proofs of the saving power of the CHRISTian faith.  Paul, the apostle endured such afflictions, but still could "glory" in the many tribulations.  Paul could actually "rejoice in hope of the glory of GOD" [Romans 5. 2] and "rejoice in GOD through our LORD JESUS CHRIST." [Romans 5. 11]

The remarkable ability to rejoice in tribulation characterized not only great CHRIST-like leaders like Paul, but ordinary believers in every walk of life.  When the early followers of MESSIAH lost all their possessions in the great wave of persecutions they were encountering, the testimony was that you "joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of GOD, you may receive the promise." [Hebrews 10. 34 - 36]

These early believers, like countless others throughout the years, "received the WORD in much affliction, with joy of the HOLY SPIRIT, so that you became examples" to all who believe. [1 Thessalonians 1. 6b – 7a]  The suffering and death of the MAN OF SORROWS provided redemption for all who trust in HIM.  The saints are able to endure tribulations with joy since we know to "rejoice to the extent that you partake of CHRIST'S sufferings, that when HIS glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." [1 Peter 4. 13]

YESHUA, the MASTER OF MERCY, is the believer's EXAMPLE and HOPE in times of suffering.  The LORD JESUS is our "LIVING HOPE" and "INCORRUPTIBLE & UNDEFILED INHERITANCE." [1 Peter 4. 13]  And "for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the Throne of GOD." [Hebrews 12. 2]  

Thus, we can be "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing" [2 Corinthians 6. 10], knowing the joy of the LORD is our STRENGTH, and HE has promised that "your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you." [John 16. 22-b]  When YESHUA, the LORD of all ages returns, those who know HIM will be glorified.

If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective. If you plant hard work, you will reap success. If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation. If you plant faith in MESSIAH YESHUA, you will reap a harvest. So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later. Two thousand years ago the Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Galatia the same story but with fewer words, "What you sow, so shall you reap." [Galatians 6. 7] "We are grass that will wither and die but the incorruptible seed of GOD'S WORD will live forever —sow it daily into the life of your family!†[1 Peter 1. 23 – 25]

Happiness is not dependent on happenings, but on relationships in the happenings. 

NEVER ALONE          
"Though my father and my mother abandon me, the LORD will take me in and care of me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

Even in a crowded world, there are many lonely people today, more than ever before — divorced, homeless, elderly parents, ignored, orphaned and discarded children.

No person, however, was ever more alone than the LORD YESHUA as HE hung on the cross. "Indeed the hour is coming" —HE said— "yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave ME alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with ME." [John 16. 32] A few hours later, as HE hung on the cross dying for our sins, even HIS HEAVENLY FATHER left hiM, and HE cried out with a loud voice, "ELI, ELI, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have YOU forsaken ME?" [Matthew 27. 46]  Yeshua, the ANOINTED ONE died alone, bearing the burden of all the sin of all the world!

Though HE suffered alone, no one else need ever to be alone again.  "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said— "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say— "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" [Hebrews 13. 5 - 6]

Suffering alone in a dank prison in Rome shortly before his execution, Paul the Apostle, could still say, "the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear...and the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for HIS Heavenly Kingdom. To HIM be glory forever and ever. Amen!" [2 Timothy 4. 17 - 18]

Old and imprisoned, John the Beloved, was all alone, exiled on the insignificant island of Patmos.  Nevertheless, he "was in the Spirit on the LORD'S Day" [Revelation 1. 10], and then saw the LORD in all HIS glory and penned the unveiling of the character and program of GOD.  So it has always been with those who know the MESSIAH, for HE is there, even when all others have forsaken them, and HE understands.  

"Shout, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Break into singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted HIS people, and has taken back His afflicted ones in love." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im]  The LORD YESHUA has already been there ahead of us, for HE was, "in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." [Hebrews 4. 15 - 16]  

In this life, no matter the situation, we will flourish, because our LOVING Savior will take care of HIS children.  HE grants us life and favor and HIS care preserves our spirit.

  LORD, make us swifter than eagles and stronger than lions in doing YOUR will; and may our love for YOU be our crown of glory and armor of strength. When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on to the promises of LORD GOD. HE is in complete control. "The ROCK! — HIS deeds are perfect; Yea, all HIS ways are just; a FAITHFUL GOD, never false, true and just is HE." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 32. 4] 
  Nothing can be achieved in haste, the spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. Thus sang King David, "Trust in the LORD, wait patiently for HIM!"

  Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is YOUR love for us and YOUR compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that we may understand and fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments. Thank YOU for YOUR saving power, for from YOU comes our help. Draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU in faithfulness. Joyfully, we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS NAME.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .

EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY 
"Now to HIM WHO is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to HIM be glory in the church by CHRIST JESUS to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." [Ephesians 3. 20 - 21] 

This SCRIPTURE assures us of GOD’S amazing, unlimited ability to answer our prayers and is related to the unique "power that works in us." The Apostle Paul used this same word twice before in the epistle to the Ephesians speaking of "the exceeding greatness of HIS power toward us who believe" and "the gift of the grace of GOD given to me by the effective working (energy) of HIS power. [Ephesians 1. 19; 3. 7] 

Such power working in us is actually nothing less than the PRESENCE OF GOD HIMSELF. This is first found in the model prayer that MESSIAH YESHUA prayed when HIS disciples asked HIM to teach them to pray— "For YOURS is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen" [Matthew 6. 13] It is this "power of GOD to salvation for everyone who believes" [Romans 1. 16] which is received when we first believed and trusted on MESSIAH through the GOSPEL. It has been so ever since the fulfillment of MESSIAH’S promise when HE declared to HIS disciples that "you shall receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to ME." [Acts 1. 8] The disciples, were "endued (enabled, authorized, armed, equipped) with power from on high" [Luke 24. 49], as are we. 

This remarkable power of GOD is imparted to us and energized in us by the enabling of the HOLY SPIRIT. So, we can be filled "with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Romans 15. 13] 

The LORD YESHUA is our INVINCIBLE REFUGE for all time even throughout eternity, for we "are kept by the power of GOD through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." [1 Peter 1. 5] With such a HEAVENLY RESOURCE of unlimited spiritual power working in us, GOD is more then able to accomplish far more than we can ever imagine, as HE works in and through those yielded to HIS perfect will. 

To our glorious and WISE GOD through the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH all things are possible. In CHRIST my SAVIOR, I greatly rejoice!

If you perceive something so important to be willing to sacrifice your own life for it, then your life has weight and purpose and direction. Because, until you know what you are willing to die for, you have not yet begun to live. 

TWENTY-TWO COMMANDMENTS 
"You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation." [1 Thessalonians 5. 5 - 6, 8]

5. Recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the LORD and admonish you,

19. Abstain from every form of evil. (Reach for maturity, sanctify yourselves, be holy!) 
20. Pray for us. 
21. Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss. 
22. Read this epistle to all the holy brethren. 

"Now may the GOD of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. HE WHO calls you is Faithful, who also will do it. The grace of our LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH be with you. Amen" [1 Thessalonians 5. 6 – 28]

Freedom can also set evil free…one can only be truly free when he does what he should do. 

WISDOM FROM GOD 
"But of HIM (MESSIAH) you are in CHRIST JESUS, WHO became for us wisdom from GOD — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption." [1 Corinthians 1. 30] 

The term "became" is a most fascinating word, depicted in many different ways— "is made, to become, be assembled, caused to be, be, begin to be." All are from the Greek word, "ginomai (pronounced: ghin’-om-ahee)." 

This term, would also apply to the work of MESSIAH, when HE called the universe into being. "All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." [John 1. 3 - 5] "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of GOD, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." [Hebrews 11. 3] "By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made, by the breath of HIS mouth, all their host...For HE spoke, and it was; HE commanded, and it stood fast." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 6, 9] 

Frequently, the phrase is also to denote the marvelous work of MESSIAH in and through the believing CHRISTian. . . HE became wisdom to us who lack wisdom; HE is made our righteousness, although we were sinners. We who are unholy receive our sanctification in YESHUA; and when we were lost, dead in sin, HE became our REDEEMER. "But as many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD." [John 1. 12 – 13] 

All this, and so much more was made possible for us by HIS great sacrifice, love and grace: "In CHRIST JESUS you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of CHRIST. For HE HIMSELF is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in HIS flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in HIMSELF one new man…For through HIM we both have access by one SPIRIT to the FATHER." [Ephesians 2. 13 – 15, 18] Now we are "justified by HIS grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." [Titus 3. 7] "And from JESUS CHRIST, the FAITHFUL WITNESS, the firstborn from the dead, and the RULER over the kings of the earth...HIM WHO loved us and washed us from our sins in HIS OWN blood, and has made us kings and priests to HIS GOD and FATHER." [Revelation 1. 5 – 6] 

When we receive YESHUA ha’MASHIACH as our SAVIOR & LORD, old things are passed away and "he is a new creation…all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17] All these wonderful attributes are given to us and accessible right now by faith, and will be accomplished, not in part, but in full perfection when the LORD OF GLORY returns and "we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is. And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 2 – 3] 

Won’t you come to HIM now and become a joint-heir with the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, HE’S waiting.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . . 
Compassion must not influence the law's decision. 

HARD HEARTS 
"Later HE (MESSIAH YESHUA) appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and HE rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen HIM after HE had risen." [Mark 16. 14] 

Many people, including numerous CHRISTians, are afflicted with the spiritual hardening of the heart, and there are several references to this fact in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. The first was in Egypt's unbelieving Pharaoh— The LORD said to Moses, "I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go." [Exodus (Shemot) 4. 21 Tanakh, Torah] Then when the children of Israel did escape Pharaoh' s persecutions, they also contracted this debilitating attitude: "Do not be stubborn and harden not your heart, as at Meribah, and as in the day of Massah, in the wilderness, when your fathers put ME to the test, tried ME, though they had seen MY deeds." [Psalms (Tehillym) 95. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] 

Even the disciples of the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH were rebuked by HIM for their hardness of heart. Regardless of the OLD COVENANT prophecies, and JESUS' own frequently repeated promise that HE would rise from the dead, the disciples forsook HIM and fled into hiding when HE was arrested. Some were even skeptical and doubted the first reports of MESSIAH' S resurrection until they saw HIM for themselves. HIS rebuke, in essence, compared their unbelief with hardness of heart. 

If this "hardness of heart" and "unbelief" ; could exist in the eleven disciples, it could surely happen to us IF we allow it. Beware! brethren, for fear that there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the LIVING GOD! We need to "exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today" lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Today, if you will hear HIS voice — Listen!!! do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." [Hebrews 3. 12 - 13, 15] We are partakers of CHRIST JESUS, if we hold the beginning of our confidence (faithfulness) and remain steadfast to the end. 

The GREAT & MIGHTY GOD is the HOLY ONE WHO fights for us in our wilderness, WHO changes our bitter waters into sweet, WHO speaks to us in our daily lives and is our very LIFE'S BREAD. How can we help but love the EVER-LIVING LORD GOD with all our heart and follow HIS commands!
