Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Christian Woman
1 Corinthians 7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment:
and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
In Islam Alisha the favorite wife of Mohammed their prophet, whom they
consider as mother of all Muslims said it was a curse to be a Muslim woman.
She did this because of the way women are treated in Islam. They are
considered evil and source of evil so much that their prophet declared that
hell was filled with women. He also considered women showing any part of
their body as cause of evil in men so made them to cover thus came the
Burka (this was after his followers who visited his house stared at his
wives for long time). Mohammed also thought women had half the brain of a
man thus two women equaled one man (in intelligence or convection).
In Hinduism we see women goddess given high priority so much so the
greatest evil in the heavenly realm (among devas) is conquered by a woman
deities (Durga / Kali). Yet we see women are treated as second class
citizens, a lower class and a lower caste. They are not allowed to perform
all spiritual rituals as men and not allowed in certain areas of the
temples like men are.
In Christian which is not man made we see certain discrepancy between the
treatment of men and women. In the OT we have many scriptures that are
misunderstood; the problem is not with those verses but with verses in the
NT especially those preceding today’s message where Paul puts men in-charge
over women like Christ is head of the Church. They fail to understand
Christ came not to be boss of the Church (people) but to serve as a servant.
People selectively and conveniently ignore verses like Proverbs 31:10
onwards which depict woman as competent as man, working and even doing the
task of selecting, buying and managing property. I like to ask these
Christian men who speak of men authority over women as been biblical, if
they allow their wives to select and buy property without their
intervention. They also conveniently forget the same Paul later wrote God
does not differentiate between gender or race or class.
In today’s message Paul end his disclosure of the role between a husband
and wife with not authoritative words but doubtful words. He puts it like
his opinion and not as thoughts directed by the Holy Spirit. He ends with
the words ‘I think I also have the Holy Spirit’ not declaring he doubted he
did not have the Holy Spirit or was not a man led by the Holy Spirit but
stating he was not sure he wrote on the above topic led by the Holy Spirit.
Paul was right he was not led by the Holy Spirit for it is not absolute
truth but it is also a fact Paul was not wrong since he wrote only to the
Church of Corinthians (a Church very poor in spiritual matters). These
facts are true for growing Christian for they are statutes which led to
understand the things hidden. But when women are spiritually mature (in
Christ) then there is no differentiation between a man and woman (other
than in their natural aspects).
People preach from Genesis 2 stating when God saw man was lonely and needed
a helper God created woman. They fail to see between the points God finding
man lonely, and making woman He created cattle. It is by learning this that
we will understand why cattle are the preferred sacrificial animal.
In Genesis 1 when God created men and women it is written He created them.
The word ‘them’ is in male gender / plural. Also in Romans 8 all men and
women led by the Spirit of God are called ‘Sons of God’ and it is this
reason Jesus says in resurrection we will not marry or be given in marriage.
It is the lack of this fact that we have Catholics thinking they will see
Mary the mother of Jesus as a woman in Heaven.
Man or woman, we are playing a role in the natural to understand the
spiritual things of Heaven. I would in fact say women will have greater
blessing in Heaven for those made lower (given a lower role) will be lifted
higher (proved they do the task assigned unto them by the Lord).
Let us not differentiate between a spiritual woman and a spiritual man. God
is God of all and loves all alike. He is not a pleaser of man or of worldly
values. He is spirit and ultimately values the spiritual aspect of us.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God of all. You created all things with purpose and design so
that we know of the things of the hidden things of Heaven. Lord we pray we
be not like worldly people differentiating according to the natural but
only by things of the spirit. Discerning the good from the bad and clean
from the unclean, thus keeping ourselves holy before You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Proverbs 31:10-31
Genesis 2:18-22
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I
will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and
every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call
them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name
thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to
every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for
him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:
and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman,
and brought her unto the man.
Genesis 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.
Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
1 Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch
as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Founded on the Rock
Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid
the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat
vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon
a rock.
To understand today’s message we need to have a clear understanding of some
of the terms used.
The term Rock used here refers to Truth. Christ (means Son of Man on whom
the Spirit dwells) is also called as the Rock (truth) since truth and grace
came through Jesus Christ. The Rock followed the Israelites in the
wilderness but was never with them for they did not know the truth.
Jesus told Peter (Petros in Greek / Cephas in Aramaic meaning small rock /
stone / pebble - symbolizing one who knows little) ‘upon this rock (Petra
in Greek / Su’has in Aramaic - truth revealed to Peter) I will build my
church’. In other words Jesus told him that even though man knows little
yet the truth which is revealed by the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth whom
Jesus as man also called Father) is that on which the Church will be built,
which will be unshakable.
Truth is something we need to seek, that means we need to study, research,
know from each other and what we get is petros (little rock), but the
revelation we get from the Holy Spirit will be petra. Jesus told you are
petros and upon petra I will build my Church which will withstand all
persecution so unless we do not have that petros we will not get petra.
Those who acknowledge and believe Jesus is Lord are those who receive the
promise of the Holy Spirit so we need to seek to receive, even though we
know it not by our efforts but a gift, yet if no efforts no gift.
Now coming to the other important part, what Jesus meant by ‘being
founded’, ‘the Rock being our foundation’.
When a building is build, the builder does not built a foundation and then
create the building on top of it, meaning they being two entities. He
constructs the building as an extension to the foundation, connected to the
foundation, they being one, un-separable.
By us knowing the Truth is not going to save us from problems, persecutions
etc. Unless we live the Truth and become one with the Truth we will not be
‘founded on it’.
Let us not just know God but know what it means He being our ‘God’. If we
declare Him God then why should be shaken in faith? If we call Jesus Christ
as our Lord, our Savior and our Brother then what holds us back in walking
as ambassadors, inheritors and extensions of God’s Kingdom?
The problem lies on the fact we may know (somewhat) the truth but are not
founded on it.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You alone are God and there is none other than You. Lord we pray we
understand what it means when we declare You as Lord, Master and God. We
pray we be founded on our belief and not just know it. We pray what we
declare we believe, by living it and making it a part of us…
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.
John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said,
Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by
interpretation, A stone.
Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are
judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth [indicative] with you, and shall be in you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come [Aorist tense],
he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things
to come.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they
drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Jesus the Prince, the true Israel
Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a
Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Understanding the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ and His entity in the
Godhead is not simple at all. We read in today's scripture Jesus the man
is referred as Prince, He is also referred to as Chief of Princes /
Kings, but we see Christ and Word of God is referred to as King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.
We are so worldly in our mindset that they have become blinkers even for
our spiritual thinking. We lower the Kingdom of God to the level of this
corrupt, insane world.
Yesterday my daughter was asking me about spirits of animals, about what
happens to them after the animal dies and when I shared the truth to
her, she could not just digest it since from childhood children are
programed with mythical tales, fairytales, fantasy tales that they start
to believe somewhat.
We even today have not understood the simple word 'spirit' [in Hebrew
even translated as 'breathe'] and still call ourselves spiritual people.
People do not realize even Satan is a spirit being, so we need to be
clear what kind of spiritual connections we are having. It is only the
pure understanding of the Word void of worldly doctrines that leads us
to the right spiritual beings we need to be.
The word Israel means 'Prince having power in the Lord' Jesus the Son of
Man as Son of God (having the perfect image of God by His maturity in
Spirit) became the fulfillment of the promise to Jacob (his seeds).
Jesus Christ by His Spirit leads us too, to become Sons of God and thus
receive the promises of Israel.
We were made Princes of this world for the dominion over this world was
given unto us. Sin corrupted us thus this world and its powers became
our enemies. As we grow in Spirit we start to bring the world powers
(not worldly man) under our authority. Bible says at the end (just
before rapture) mankind furnishes two witnesses who demonstrate this
power. Two corrupt beings led man to be exiled from Heaven and after
thousands of years and the great sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, man
ends up furnishing two, who truly overcome and this satisfies the Lord
leading Him to gather His people and bring down the curtains on this
creation so called world. It is only when we understand this we will
understand the importance of our mission in Christ and the importance of
building each other in Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ did not come to save or lift up the worldly man
(of flesh) but save and lift up the spirit man. So He did not glorify
the man entity of Himself but diverted the glory to His Spirit (Holy
Spirit), whom man also calls Father. It is only through the efforts of
this Son of Man Jesus that we return to Heaven and are gathered unto the
Heavenly Father.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are One God and all life comes from You, for You alone are
Creator. Lord we pray we seek deeper understanding of your Kingdom and
also understand your plans in our life. As in your Word Paul says no
eyes have seen or no man has dreamt of things You have set for man since
Paul had a glimpse of this. We too want to know, to know more than Paul
did so that we grow stronger in spirit...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over

Psalms 8:4-6
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that
thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast
crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou
hast put all things under his feet:
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Romans 8:14, 19-22
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by
reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage
of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain
together until now.
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit
of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
1 John 3:1-3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we
should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not,
because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what
we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like
him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as
he is pure.
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince [chief] of the kings of
the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his
own blood,
1 Timothy 6:14-15
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until
the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name
written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as
he is pure.
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince [chief] of the kings of
the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his
own blood,

14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until
the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Can Christian resort to violence?
Acts 22:49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they
said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
This is one area which most people are confused with, can a Christian
take up arms. When it comes to attacking someone almost all will say
'no' but then the question becomes complicated when it comes to the area
of defense.
In the NT we have scriptures where Jesus said, love your enemy, if
someone slaps you on one cheek, show them the other and we also have
scripture where Jesus advices His disciples to use all the money they
have and buy swords. So what should be the stand of a Christian, to take
arms, to use arms strictly for defense or plainly become a victim of
violence?
The question gets more complex when see it in the light of the OT. There
are Christians who think OT is just for reference more like history
book, but do not understand Jesus, Paul and others taught from the OT,
quoted the OT and we find the OT full of violence. So does God justify
or promote violence?
All these can be clearly understood from understanding the following
facts:-
For God there is only one stand that revenge is His, He will protect His
people for all violence not letting even a hair be harmed without His
consent.
God does not promote violence in the natural but does promote violence
in the spiritual. No person can call oneself a Christian if that person
is not fighting a spiritual battle. But when it comes to battling in the
natural, one is allowed to defend oneself depending on one's spiritual
growth.
When Jesus was leaving His disciples (He was to go to hell after His
death) He advised His disciples to possess swords to protect themselves.
But when we have Christ with us, we are under the Lord's protection and
without His permission not a stone can hurt our feet. That also means no
sickness, no problems. Persecution will come since the world hates Him
but then it will not affect us, for the peace and joy of the Lord with
strengthen us. If we not fully mature in the Lord, depending on our
spiritual growth we may face problems (not related to persecution) but
through them we will grow and become stronger in the Lord.
We as Christians who have the Holy Spirit are not called to behave like
the Jews who know God but lack His grace, Spirit and truth. We may have
to flee from situations of violence or persecution but when we are
mature we experience testimonies like King Jehoshaphat saw (2 Chronicles
20:17-25).
We Christians are spiritual beings living in the flesh and this flesh is
a temporary dwelling. Dead is not a fear factor for us. We are called to
overcome the flesh and walk in the Spirit. Our battle is the Lord's and
revenge is the Lord's. Our purpose is salvation for His people,
including our enemies. We have the power like Elijah but we walk in the
ways of Christ. Everything we do is to glorify God the Father in Heaven
and lift His Name which we see manifested in the flesh in Jesus Christ.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord God You alone are our God and our Protector. We pray Lord that your
people today, see the manifestation of your power like the Israelites
saw during the times of Moses. Even though not all Israel received your
Spirit, yet You did great things that left the enemy in awe and fear.
Lord we pray we do not pursue the spirit of Elijah that seeks revenge
but be like Christ not fearing death but abiding in your Will, always
and seek salvation even of our enemies...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his

37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be
accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the
things concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto
them, It is enough.

foot against a stone.

of spirit ye are of.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Jesus Prayed
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he
went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Jesus as man grew in Spirit, wisdom and grace. He was called a man of
authority for His faith had matured. He knew the Will of the Father and
abided in it so we see all the great miracles He did His prayers were
done by simply thanking the Father before performing it. We do not find
Him struggling and storming the Heavens to do a miracle like we see most
Men of God do today.
If Jesus was a man with perfect faith then why did He need to pray?
When we look at Jesus, leaving for His prayer at the Garden of
Gethsemane where He struggled in His prayer (for He was shaken since for
a time He was going to be separated from the Father) else everywhere
else He just thanked God and performed miracles. So what was the need
Jesus had that He prayed, like written in today's message.
Prayer is misunderstood to be a petition window where one asks worldly
things of God. Our focus is always worldly so we use our prayer to God
to gain the things we desire. We are always praying for things, people
near and dear to us, opportunities to gain power and fame in this world
etc...
Jesus being a man (part of God and God Himself who humbled Himself and
became man) He needed guidance. All the knowledge He had He gained
through study of scriptures therefore He did not know that which was not
written in the scriptures. Even Angels do not know things in the future
unless it is revealed in scriptures. But Angels have a greater view of
things than men do, for example man on the ground floor has a low
horizon view compared to a man standing a greater height. That is why in
Matthew 24:36 we read Jesus said 'no man knows the hour' (exact time)
the end of the world will come, not even the Angels but only the Father,
since lots of clues are given of the end and even their order is
revealed (in fact the Feast of Trumpets is to do with His second coming)
yet we do not know the exact year (yes we do have an approximate era).
In today's message we see Jesus prayed for guidance in doing His
ministry. Jesus even though being a perfect man, having clear
communication with the Holy Spirit did not just go out and do things
banking in hearing the voice of God / Holy Spirit. He spent time in
isolation so as to be ministered by Angels or by the Holy Spirit to do
His ministry. Think if Jesus needed to pray then how much do we need to!
Let our prayer not be just petition windows seeking natural things from
God for ourselves and for others but let our prayers also be means to
receive spiritual things that glorify God through the works of our hands.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are a Merciful God. When we lift our hand up in prayer You do
listen. But You too Lord dislike when we keep asking for natural things
and do not seek spiritual things. There are very few times that we pray
for wisdom, understanding, guidance, Gifts of the Holy Spirit etc. to
glorify You on earth so that your Kingdom grows on earth and the earth
be fill with your glory. We pray Lord we change the way and the purpose
we pray. We pray our faith grows so much that we do not ever need to
pray for any sick but heal them by faith. We pray our prayer be for
greater things...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when
ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
John 6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he
distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set
down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
John 11:41-43
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was
laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that
thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people
which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus,
come forth.
Matthew 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and
ministered unto him [before He started His full time ministry as a
Nazarene].

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Hands and legs
Acts 4:3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next
day: for it was now eventide.
In the Bible the Greek word cheir used for hands actually refers to help
received from a person. It focuses on receiving with our hands. When
applied to God it refers strength since it roots from the word which
means mighty storm or winter or rain. The Greek word for legs is skelos'
and means to parch. It refers to the whole leg right from the hip to the
toes. In Greek the word for foot is pous and being a primary root word
it does not have any meaning.
When we look at Hebrew language (the language Jesus communicated in,
other than Aramaic) the word yad used for hands means strength, the word
z'rowa' used for arm / forearm also has the same meaning strength or
power and the word kaph is used for palm (the NT does not have the word
palm, it has the word striking with the palm) means hollow and comes
from the root to bow down or bend; so the hand in OT is divided into two
parts. Coming to the legs, here too we see there is no one word for the
whole leg in the OT for the word kara' refers to the portion from the
knee down and also means to kneel or to bend. The thigh portion includes
the hip portion and is called yarka', it emphasizes on the power to
procreate; it roots from the word that means fleshiness, softness or
abundance. It was this reason the Israelites in earlier days used to
prophesy a blessing by placing the hand on the thigh of the person. When
the Lord dislocated the hip bone of Jacob and blessed him with the
blessing of Israel it symbolized the blessing was not for those of his
flesh and bones but of faith .
What we see in Hebrew (the language of the temple) both the hand (palm)
and the leg (knee down) had one purpose that was to surrender to God and
submit to Him. So if we see our hands and our legs may be part of our
body but actually are owned by the Lord, thus are for His purpose and
His glory. Thus it is very important we take into consideration what we
do with our hands and our legs, as to the work we do and the places we
go, if they are for the glory of God or for our edification.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are our Creator and You created man for a purpose. You want man
to be blessed in You and this is only possible if we do your Will. Lord
we pray we be aware of what we do with our hands and our legs, when we
lift it up to You or knee down before You we remember we surrender them
unto You and for your glory. We pray we use them for your Kingdom more
than any other purpose...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon
every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that
moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered.
Exodus 6:6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD,
and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I
will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a
stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world,
was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the
righteousness of faith.
Hebrews 12:12-14
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Was Jesus a Jew?
Luke 17:11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed
through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
When we ask anyone the question 'who is a Jew', they will immediately
answer 'Israelites as Jews'. When we make a statement like that it is
like saying all Indians are Hindus. When we say a person is a Hindu it
refers to his or her belief and not the country he or she lives in even
though in Hindi the country is referred to as Hindustan or Bharat.
Hinduism is not really a religion but a collection of collection of
local polytheistic religions. All these beliefs were local to a region
and Hinduism came into existence only when rulers or kingdoms of other
monotheistic religions invaded the land. It was patriotism that bought
them together and the bond was so strong that today we have followers of
even atheistic beliefs like Jainism and Buddhism called as Hindus. The
religion battle in India is not about one religion against another but
more of polytheism against monotheism.
People do not realize in the Old Testament the term Jew exist only
twice, once in Jeremiah and once in Zechariah. It also occurs 8 times in
the book of Esther which was not part of the OT during the times of
Jesus and was added later. It is like an Apocrypha of the Jews.
After the rule of David, Israel was split into two, the northern part
was called Israel which had Samaria as its capital and the lower part
was called Judah which had Jerusalem as its capital. It was later that
the people of Israel (northern part) were called Samaritans and the
people of Judah were called Jews. This term was used based on the
capital of the respective regions. The Jews hated the Samaritans for
they had incorporated lots of pagan cultures and beliefs into the
original Mosaic belief. Galilee was the hub for this fusion for it was
the northern trade capital. Mary being a Galilean followed both Jewish
beliefs as well as pagan (mostly Egyptian) beliefs (mummifying the dead
like done with Lazarus or tried to be done with Jesus on the third day
was an Egyptian ritual followed by Galileans).
Jesus was born in Bethlehem which is a part of southern Israel but was
resident of Galilee. He was born there since Joseph was born and
registered in Galilee and before marriage Mary and Joseph had visited
Bethlehem since census of whole Israel was taken that year.
Jesus as an Israelite wore a dress as commanded in the book of Moses.
The dress had a blue ribbon at its hem and the Jews being orthodox wore
this kind of garments that time, so Jesus was identified as a 'Jew'
because of His clothing. The blue ribbon was an identity of the Jews and
so when people who required healing sought to touch the hem of Jesus'
garments; they were touching His identity.
Jesus did not follow the Judaism of the 'Jews' like their understandings
of things like the Sabbath or their traditions like the washing of
hands... Jesus was never a follower of Judaism; He in fact removed
people from Judaism and made them Christians. Even today followers of
Judaism hate Him and consider Him a false prophet.
Paul got the understanding of this after his spiritual eyes opened. His
name was Paul Saul. Paul was his Roman name kept from his father's side
and Saul was his Jewish name kept from his mother's side. Before Paul
thought only Jews were inheritors of God's Kingdom thus used his Jewish
name Saul, but later when he realized an inheritor of God's Kingdom was
not by race, or color, or origin but only by faith so reverted to his
father kept name Paul.
Let us not be fooled to believe we become Christians by going to Church,
or being part of a ministry or by doing good deed, or by taking the name
of Jesus. It is only by our repentance and conversion in Christ that we
become a Christian.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Repent and be converted
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence
of the Lord;
Today's message talks of repentance and conversion so that our sins may
be blotted out when the Lord comes to judge us.
Man has used terms and words to over exaggerate simple terms and by
doing this justified his weakness and sluggishness for change. Man has
coined the word 'sin' and by equating it to moral crime make it look
like great mistake, but when we look at the biblical word it simply
means to err or make a mistake, 'chata' in Hebrew and 'hamartia' in Greek.
Sin does not mean only when we break one of the Ten Commandments but
means any and every mistake we make spiritually, be it small or big. All
mistakes as mistakes and there is nothing like small mistake or big
mistake. So if I lie or kill it means I have sinned and in the eyes of
God both are sinners.
The mistakes we are held responsible for are classified into those which
we do with knowledge and those which we do without knowledge but which
our guilt convicts us soon or later. Every mistake done is evil. The
Hebrew word for evil is 'poneros' and comes from the word 'ponos' which
means 'pain' and this word comes from the word 'penes' which means
'being poor', so evil people are simply spiritually poor people.
Lucifer had all in Heaven, yet by greed he wanted to have more than
enough and this led to his fall and today he has nothing for he is full
of evil (poverty). Jesus showed us although He had all yet He came to
give so as to lift us up, and by His giving He is lifted up.
By God calling His people Israel (means Princes of God) He broke the
poverty in our spiritual lives and removed the pain and eliminated the
evil in our lives. We as Israel are destined to inherit the abundance of
His riches in Heaven. This promise is given to fallen man and not to
fallen angels that is why fallen angels cannot repent and be converted
but we can.
Like every promise in the Bible is linked with a condition so also is
this promise. It was only when Jacob struggled with God to be blessed
and did not give up even when his hip joint was dislocated, that is when
God called him (and those in him) Israel.
Repentance like I stated before is not about being sorry but mean to
walk the right path. It is more about correction. If repentance is about
correction then what is 'being converted' about? If we look at the Greek
word convert 'epistrepho' it is a compound word which means 'on' or
'upon' and 'turn direction' or 'turn around'. Conversion or being
converted is change of direction not in the horizontal plane but in the
vertical plane. A person cannot be the same as before and say he or she
has converted. To be converted one needs to be better than what they
were. Without spiritual growth one cannot claim conversion.
We are called to truly repent and be converted so that our mistakes are
not held against us during the Judgment Day when we stand before the
Lord Jesus Christ. Before Christ (came as man on earth) it was
impossible for man to truly repent and be converted (only a very few
did), Christ paid the price for our mistakes and made available His
Spirit by whom repentance and conversion is a possibility for us. It is
only by His Spirit we can be corrected and be born from above (born
again/ lifted spiritual up).
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Merciful God. Even though You are Merciful yet You are
Righteous and Holy. Every being that is evil will be separated and will
pay for their deeds. Lord we thank You for making a way for us be
blessed in You and be lifted up. We thank You for calling us Israel...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 32:24-29
24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until
the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the
hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint,
as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will
not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for
as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And
he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he
blessed him there.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left
their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under
darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou

James 5:19-20
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of
his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Isaiah 6:9-10
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand
not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Why do we attend service?
1 Corinthians 11:17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you
not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
Today's scripture Paul wrote to the Church of Corinth to instruct them
not because they were doing well, but the opposite. One of the important
points Paul points out is their reason of coming together. Let us ask
ourselves if Paul was there now, would he write to us like he did to the
Church of Corinth or would he be harsher in his words?
People come to service on Sundays or whichever day they do, all for
three reasons - I, ME and MINE. They are concern about what will happen
to them, the things they desire; they come for they have problems and
they need help; they come because people close to them or related to
them have problems.
Other than coming together as one body to worship God, we are called to
come together to edify each other. Paul puts how we should do that in
his first letter to Thessalonica (1 Thessalonians 5:11-15).
The word translated as 'each other' is the Greek word 'allelon' which is
the plural of the word which means 'another' so the 'each other'
excludes us and includes all the others. We gather together not for
ourselves but for the others who need our help and support, spiritually
or naturally. It is because we do not do this we ourselves do not get
our problems solved; you may wonder how?
When each one of us comes together with focus on our own problems we are
doing what we do alone so what is the difference? If we could not attend
to it alone at home then how will it help we coming together and doing
the same thing?
It is only because sometimes we have someone with great faith who has
come there not for their own problems but for the problems of others
that we get our problems solved. If more or them do the same then the
little faith can add up and get the same result. Think of it, if each
one of us does not focus on our own problems but at the problems of
others gathered there then many would be praying for us instead of we
alone doing it. The payers of many, sums the faith of many and causes
things to move in the spiritual kingdom. We do not need to depend on
that one person with great faith; we can all together as one achieve the
same or more.
Let us bring this change in us and let us see the Heavens shake by our
faith and God be glorified on earth, amongst us.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Father and Son are One, as your Spirit
and You are one. The Son Himself volunteered to be a sacrifice so that
the oneness moves from glory to glory. We pray Lord we experience the
oneness within us who call ourselves as yours. Let us reach out to the
others amongst us more than we do to ourselves...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Thessalonians 5:11-15
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also
are doing.
12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you,
and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at
peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the
fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue
what is good both for yourselves and for all.
1 Corinthians 11:17-18
17 Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come
together not for the better but for the worse.
18 For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that
there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.
1 Corinthians 14:26-30
26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you
has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an
interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three,
each in turn, and let one interpret.
28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and
let him speak to himself and to God.
29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first
keep silent.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Not children of wrath
Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when
thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Between Judas and Peter we see both were victims of Satan plans of
destruction. Satan used both to hinder Jesus in His mission. When it
came to Peter, Jesus intervened and rebuked Satan and prayed for
restoration of Peter's faith, but when it came to Judas, Jesus told him
to do what he desired to do quickly and we see Satan took hold of Judas
fully, before that Satan was only influencing their minds.
Let us give a thought to what Satan was doing. Was he really trying to
stop Jesus? Could he in any way stop Jesus from doing what was already
written? NO
Satan is not a weak being like a human to doubt God on His Word. Satan
knows what God has declared will surely come to past. It is because he
knows that, he is trying all his best to destroy man. When Jesus was
praying in the garden He did confess He could not save the one of whom
it was already written.
Satan cannot change what is written he knows his end is destruction but
yet he does evil so as to deprive others from receiving that which he
lost in Heaven. What holds us to receive our inheritance is Heaven is
our faith. So he plays with mainly two factors that are connected to
faith, firstly he tries to distort the truth and secondly our ability to
hold on to the truth, that is by filling us with carnal desires and
making us spiritually lethargic.
David did not allow those who were blind and those who were lame to
enter Zion when he became king, it was symbolic to being spiritually
blind to the truth and spiritually lethargic to doing God's will.
Peter was played with his faith by distorting the truth but he was
passionate of the Kingdom of God so Jesus saved him by praying to
restore his faith. Judas did not have the truth in him, he thought the
Kingdom of Jesus was a worldly kingdom and was also filled with carnal
desires, thus he could not be saved.
Let us not be children of wrath, to receive God's wrath on Judgment Day.
Let us hold on to the little truth we know of God's Kingdom as we grow
in it, but above all let us be passionate for the Kingdom of God. Till
we know more of the truth the only thing that can save us is our passion
for the expansion of God's Kingdom. So let us not fill ourselves with
desires of the world since they make us spiritually obese and kill our
passion for the Kingdom of God. Like Paul said like us be sober in the
flesh and high in Spirit.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and the flesh binds the spirit. Lord You desire we
overcome the flesh so that we operate in the spirit and enter your
Kingdom. Lord we pray we control the desires of the flesh so that we do
not die a spiritual death...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The Chosen Ones
John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that
the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted
up his heel against me.
Yesterday's message spoke to us about the difference between a Church
and a mob. How a Church is a crowd of people who separate themselves to
call on the Name of the Lord through whom they do all things, while a
mob is a crowd of people who gather to do things by their will and strength.
Today's message talks of how the Word is given to many but yet the Word
speaks to only the chosen. The Greek word translated as chosen is a
compound word made of two words which means 'separated' and 'to say'.
The scripture says those who are not chosen are the ones who receive the
blessings of the Lord yet they lift their heel against the Lord.
The term 'lifting up their heel' is taken from Psalms 41:9. Some
commentators have tried to project the psalm as David speaking his heart
and thus referring to an individual, but when we read the whole psalm,
it is the Lord speaking through David and that is why Jesus chose to
quote these words. The psalm does not speak of an individual so Jesus
too is not speaking only of Judas here.
Among the flock of Christ to whom the Word is given are Sheep and Goats.
The sheep are the ones chosen and the goats are the ones who come to
just receive their blessings and then lift their heel meaning give a
hoof / kick to God's Kingdom.
How does one identify who are the sheep and who are the sheep?
Today's message tells us how to identify if one is a sheep or goat. The
scripture says those who are chosen are the sheep and the rest are
goats. Like the word chosen says those who separate themselves (meaning
do not live a worldly life) and preach the Lord's salvation are the
chosen ones. One cannot do half of it and yet call themselves chosen,
that means all prosperity preachers fall in the goats category and not
in the sheep category.
It is not evil to have riches, what is evil is the way we use it. If we
use it more for our pleasure then, we are like the 'goats' who come just
to receive from the Lord.
Jesus said only those that do the Will of the Father will enter His
Kingdom, He said it is nearly impossible for a rich person to enter the
Kingdom of God (unless he learns to give away his riches to bless
others), He also said no man can serve two masters at the same time;
that is the Lord and riches (fame and power also get counted here).
Let us see ourselves in the mirror of life and see why we have come to
the Lord. If it is only to be blessed then we can forget about entering
His Kingdom but if we are ones who have come to be a blessing unto
others then we can call ourselves among the chosen ones.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Mighty God. You Lord are all knowing yet You give unto
those who are not your children. Lord we pray we understand if we call
ourselves your children then we need to have the nature of the Father in
us. Lord we pray we learn to live for others more than living for
ourselves...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend [man], in whom I trusted,
which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the
one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise
the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Mark 10:24-27
24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered
again and said to them, "Children, how hard it is for those who trust in
riches to enter the kingdom of God!
25 "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for
a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26 And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, "Who then
can be saved?"
27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but
not with God; for with God all things are possible."

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Mob mentality
Acts 18:17 Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the
synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for
none of those things.
In today's message we read of a person named Sosthenes [means strong
savior / savior of the nation] who was the chief ruler of the synagogue
he had dismissed the accusation of the Jews against Paul and his team.
Sosthenes was an honest man who followed what was written so did not
find the Paul and his team's words as blasphemy. We find the Jews later
may have made a ruckus outside on the street such that the Greek tired
of this took hold of Sosthenes and trashed him right outside the place
where Gallio sat in judgment (like a high court) and Gallio turned a
blind eye by not responding to what was happening outside in the streets
just outside his office. We read later this same Sosthenes accepts
Christ as his Savior and becomes a colleague of Paul working in the
Church of Corinth.
Today in India we find the concept of mob judgment or lynching happening
very often and the government like Gallio turning a blind eye to that
which is happening. The mob themselves are not religious in any way but
are driven by the religious. The religious show their hands are clean by
getting others directly or indirectly to do their work.
In the Bible a gathering of people can be called a mob or a Church, it
depend on the purpose of their gathering. We may think it is violence
that makes a crowd into a mob but that is not what the Greek words
explains to us.
The Greek word for mob is 'ochlopoieo'. It is a compound word made of
'ochlos' which means 'a crowd of people gather together' and 'poieo'
which means 'to do' or 'to make'. So a mob basically means a group of
people gathered for a purpose to do an activity.
'Ekklesia' translated as Church in the Bible is also a compound word
made of 'ek' meaning 'out of' and 'kaleo' which means 'to call'. So a
Church is also a gathering or group of people but the difference is they
are separated or set aside from the world with a purpose to call on the
Lord to do a task. It is not they that who do the task but the Lord who
does the task through them.
As a Church we can be ochlopoieo or Ekklesia, what matters is are we
doing things in our strength or are we letting ourselves be a vessel for
the Lord to do His work. When we do our own things with our own strength
we behave like a mob and not a Church.
Let us be Church, let us be vessels for the Lord to do His work and not
a mob to do our desires even if it is in the name of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and Loving Father. You Lord can do all things
but You do so through man so that man learns to be like You. You Lord
subjected yourself to the Will of the Father and desire we too subject
ourselves to His Will. Let all our doing be not our strength or our
wisdom but by your Spirit...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Post-Millennium and Pre-Millennium
Luke 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country
to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
Yesterday a brother was speaking to me and to understand what my beliefs
were, was asking me some questions, like do I believe in Rapture, Once
Saved Always Saved etc. and among them was the question of
post-millennium and pre-millennium as to which period we are in.
There are people who due to lack of this understand state Christ comes
more than twice, once to rein for 1000 years and then again on Judgment
day. To these people I ask the first time came He left (ascended) after
He was killed on the crucifix and resurrected, so the second time will
He again be killed after 1000years to go and come again on Judgment Day?
Bible only talks of His second coming (come again) and not third or
fourth. Bible says His sacrifice was once for all, for all eternity. In
today's message we read about Jesus narrating a parable because the
people expected the Kingdom of God to suddenly appear.
To understand the prophecy of 1000 years of rein of Christ we need to
understand the term kingdom. The Hebrew word for kingdom is 'mamlakah'
and comes from the word 'malak' which means reign. So when we say
Kingdom of God it means the reign of God or when the Law of God is
abided in. God is not man to rule land but only rules the hearts of
people, so if the people start to abide in the Word of God then the
Kingdom of God has already arrived. But that does not mean it has fully
come. It is only when Christ comes again and all knees bow to Him that
the Kingdom of God will come in its glory.
To understand the 1000years we need to understand Revelation 19:11-16.
In these verses it speaks of the rider on the white horse (horse
symbolizes quick progress). It says the rider's name as 'Word of God'
and no one knows Him accept Himself. His clothes are dipped in sacrifice
yet His garments are white and clean linen (symbolizes righteousness).
He is followed by armies (gradually) who also ride on white horses
(spiritual progress). His weapon is the Word which is like a sword.
Revelation also has another set of verses (Revelation 12:4-6) which
speaks of Satan trying to devour the new Church of Christ (Child of the
Abrahamic Church) but this child fled in the wilderness for 1260years
(days).
If we see the history of the Church we will see after the coming of the
Catholic Church in 300AD (approximately) Christianity was almost
non-existing and something else was followed in its name. Bible also
says Satan ruled and still rules the Catholic Church (Mother of All
Fornication/Babylon the Great) and this church tried her best to destroy
Christianity but failed. More Christians were martyred by her than by
any religion or kingdom.
IN 1560 (approximately) exactly after 1260 years we see came the
Reformation movement started, where people wanted to follow the Word of
God and not human traditions. It is from this time that the Rider on the
White Horse started moving and armies of people have joined Him over the
period. This army will keep moving ahead and will keep gathering more to
join it until the 1000years. Nothing and nobody will be able to stop it
however much they try, that means right until 2500AD (approximately).
If we read the book of Daniel, we read of a vision where Daniel asks the
Lord about when all that which is written in the book will be fulfilled,
then an Angel on the command of the Lord reveals as 'TIME, TIME AND A
HALF' if interpreted is millennium, millennium and a half (2500 years).
This same clue is also revealed in many other scriptures right from
books of Moses to Revelation. If we go by prophecy timing or time of
Christ on earth then the second coming is anywhere between 2300AD to
2500AD exact year is not mentioned in scriptures, season is known but
not the hour). So when the Bible says 1000 years it speaks of the start
and fulfillment of this army over the 1000years of which we are a part
of and not post-millennium or pre- millennium.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Mighty God yet your work is unseen to worldly man. You
Lord, do great things and these are visible by only those who abide in
your Kingdom. We pray Lord your people realize and see the moving of the
great Army of the Word of God moving ahead by awesome power and might.
We pray your people be fearless and join its ranks for none can hinder
its progress until it comes in glory...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Revelation 19:11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth
judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is
called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should
smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he
treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelation 12:4-6
4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the
earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give
birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.
5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron.
And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.
6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place
prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two
hundred and sixty days.
Daniel 12:6-7
6 And said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of
the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of
the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven,
and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time,
times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the
power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

people, so if the people start to abide in the Word of God then the
Kingdom of God has already arrived.

Revelation 19:11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth
judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns;
and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
How did they know?
Matthew 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good
for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one
for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Critical analysis is an important part of Bible study. We as believers
do not question the value of the Word of God but to understand the
scripture we need to question every scripture in every angle. People
read this scripture a thousand times but none question the basics of it.
When Jesus took John, James and Peter to a high mountain (hill) there
Jesus transfigured and spoke to Moses and Elijah. We read that when the
three saw this they immediately knew the two men were Moses and Elijah.
One needs to ask, how they knew it was Moses and Elijah. There was no
photograph or illustration or special dress style that Moses or Elijah
wore to be identified, yet john, James and Peter knew it was them.
Another question we need to ask is 'did Moses and Elijah descend from
Heaven'? Bible says no man has ascended or descended from Heaven accept
for Jesus Christ.
In a similar incident when Samuel was 'bought up' the women who
communicated with familiar spirit on the request of Saul (in disguise)
without knowing bought up Samuel. But when Samuel appeared she
immediately knew it was Samuel and was afraid. How did she know it was
Samuel?
Before I answer this we see Jesus' face was radiant like the sun and his
clothes were white as light and in the Bible we read of Angels having
similar description.
Angels are spirit beings and man in the natural is a spirit being living
in the flesh. After death his flesh decays and become dust while the
spirit man continues to live. Jesus said in resurrection man will be as
Angels meaning spirit being. That means when Samuel, Moses and Elijah
appeared they were not in the flesh but were spirit beings. Sin bounded
the human spirit in the flesh that is why after sin Adam and Eve sensed
nakedness. As natural beings we speak through our mouths but as spirit
beings we are not restricted to vocal communication. People will know us
without ever having seen us.
Jesus transfigured for two reasons, one is without transfiguration He
would have sinned by communicating with the dead (human spirit) since
God forbid man from doing so. He by transfiguring kept the law and still
communicated. The communication was not necessary or urgent for nothing
that transpired between them is noted or disclosed anywhere in the
Bible. Everything God does that is necessary is noted. Also Jesus did
not need their counsel. What was necessary was Jesus transfiguring and
that was for us to be confirmed that Jesus had overcome. When He told us
'do not fear for I have overcome' it meant that we too on our
resurrection will transfigure or become what John, James and Peter saw
Jesus as Son of Man become. Jesus told them not to tell anyone until His
resurrection for one would have understood.
Jesus is the only one who resurrected in the flesh for He is the only
one whose flesh did not decay since He never sinned. Before death as
well as after death flesh did not have hold on Him or bound Him. We are
renewed and forgiven in the spirit, so even though our flesh is corrupt
we are live and become incorruptible on Judgment Day. Though all our
sins are recorded in the Book (even our vain words) yet on Judgment Day
those found in the Will of the Father will see not of them held against
them. But those who back slide will have all their sins held against
them. We need to understand this in line with our earth annual
accounting in which we have our debits and credits columns. Those who
have faith and are in the Will of the Father will have all their debits
cancelled or paid for by Christ.
In Heaven we will not see each other as we see here on earth for none
will in flesh; flesh and bones do not dwell in Heaven which is a spirit
place. We will not have any age difference so even Abraham and we will
be the same since all will be ageless. There will be no male, female in
Heaven since Angels do not have genders. They are called Sons of God
because of the perfect image of God in them and not because of gender.
So our ancestors both males and females in Heaven will be Sons of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You are Spirit. Lord your Word says in Heaven Son of
Man will become one with You and together will become the Heavenly
Temple in which the Father descends and dwells. Even though after death
we overcome the flesh yet today we pray we may overcome our fleshy
thinking which is bound in this materialistic world, so that we
understand your Word in spirit and truth...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Digging deeper into scriptures
Jeremiah 10:13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of
waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the
ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth
the wind out of his treasures.
When we read today's message it makes us feel like there is water in
Heaven and a climate where there it rains and lightnings.
It is very important to understand how to study scriptures. Most
Christians are not introduced to Hebrew and Greek (including Aramaic)
word study and to Bible symbolism (Image Study); these are advanced
levels of Bible Study. Sadly these are not taught even in Bible colleges.
One does not necessarily need to know Hebrew and Greek to do word study.
Thanks to God we have Strong who documented every word, its variation
and numbered them, now by the Strong number we can find the word and
actual meaning. This is necessary because many translators mistranslate
words or do not do justice with the English words they use. Take for
example the word translated as vapours actually means 'princes'. The
translator saw water and thus used the word vapour. We also have people
who think Agape means 'God kind of love' and Agapo means 'human kind of
love' not knowing agape simply means love/charity and agapo is a
conjugation of the verb and means 'I love'.
Bible symbolism is very important part of Bible study. The books of
Daniel and Revelation are a good example of how God made known
(revealed) scriptures which Daniel and John were meditating on. So both
are not books of prophecies but have explanations of prophecies given
before.
One will find a consistency in the images or objects throughout the
Bible which the Lord uses to present an understanding. Interpretation of
dreams is the ability to understand symbolism and is a step to
understanding Bible symbolism / Image study. Joel 2:28 says the young
see visions (dreams /symbolism) and the mature will see dreams (clear
messages).
In today's message still waters symbolizes sin, lightning symbolizes
judgment, rains symbolize mercy and wind (the word here is actually
'spirit') symbolize life.
Today's message is an expanded illustration of Genesis 1:1-3. When God
saw darkness in the Heavens God spoke and caused light to come forth
from within the darkness.
Firstly darkness was not there in the beginning when God created the
Heavens. God was in the beginning and God is light. Here light and
darkness does not literately mean light and darkness but means goodness
and evil. It speaks of when God created the Angels there was no evil,
but later when Lucifer fell, he also caused the fall of many angels and
darkness to come into existence. Lucifer actually is not his name but a
term used for the Cherubs, it means 'bearer of light' since each leads
an army of Angels. Bible uses the term like a serpent (cursed one),
dragon (deceiving one), king of Tyrus (father of lies) and accuser
(accuses us / causes us to be made guilty before God) for him. He
directly does not have power to destroy, but becomes instrument to get
people destroyed by God by keeping them in evil / darkness.
The light which Genesis 1:3 speaks of is the Princes of God / Sons of
God which the Lord brings forth from the darkness. This is where God
creates our creation and causes us to be that light coming forth out of
that darkness so as to overcome the darkness so and receive eternal light.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and your wisdom can not be comprehended, it goes beyond
the sight of man. Lord we pray we understand why You created us in this
darkness and why You desire we overcome this darkness. You are just and
everything You do has a purpose. You God created us to overcome darkness
and only those who overcome enter into eternal life. We pray we become
overcomers...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens
and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under

by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the
heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Building Good Habits
Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
In the Church where my family fellowships we regularly have a series of
Sunday services wherein a topic is taken up and continued over a few
weeks by various people and later studied in the cell groups. A month
back we finished the book of Nehemiah on the topic 'Building Strong',
where at every service a chapter was covered. In between we also had a
session of book reading where a book of CS Lewis was briefly covered.
Just yesterday we have started a new 6 week session on 'Good Habits'.
Yesterday as I was hearing a young dynamic brother take up the
introduction of the topic, the Lord was opening so much to me. One very
good illustration the brother gave during his preaching was of an
elephant, its rider and the path it is led. The elephant is the
emotional part of us, the rider is the rational part of us and path is
long twisted journey these take to reach its goal. The emotional part of
us is big and difficult to control. It is the rational part if addressed
properly starts to direct our emotional part and the long path need to
be broken to shorter goals so that time to time we are happy to have
reached a milestone.
Biblically our inner-man or nature is physically symbolized as our
bones. It is our bones that give our natural being a shape. None of
Jesus bones were allowed to be broken for His character was perfect and
unquestionable. Jeremiah wrote of 'fire in his bones' since his nature
was on fire for the Lord.
If we read Hebrews the writer speaks of the Word of God as a double edge
sword which pierces the joint of our bones dividing bone joint from our
marrow. Our bones are our nature, our marrow is our spirit (live is in
the blood and marrow makes blood, our natural life comes from our spirit
life) and our joints are our habits (they give movement to the bones/our
nature).
One will think what has habits to do with today's message and why does
God concentrate to develop good habits in us by separating us from our
bad / old habits?
We may have spoken before about faith, which is a Fruit (also a gift).
If we claim to have faith and do not demonstrate it in the natural then
can we make such a claim? Similarly if we have love in us then this love
needs to visible in the natural, we need to have a habit to love. So if
have good habits it means we have good Fruits in us.
The word habit comes from the cloak that was worn in the medieval
period. It showed the type of person one was (social status). Our habits
speak of the person we are. So let us look at us in the mirror (the eyes
of others) to see if we are exhibiting more the habits of Adam or the
habits of Christ, if we are exhibiting more the habits of Christ then we
truly shining His light in this world.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and You have lifted your Name which is your Nature,
about all. Your Name was, is and will always be lifted up. Lord we pray
that we who call ourselves your children may hold your Name in our
lives. It is in your Name there is power. We pray we overcome our habits
and develop your habits in us...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The Lost Sheep, stop behaving like Sheep
Luke 15:4-6 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of
them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after
that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he
layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he
calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice
with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
In the parable of the lost sheep Jesus tells the listeners who have a
back ground of sheep rearing when they have one of their sheep lost do
they not leave the remaining sheep and go after the one lost?
When we who do not have the knowledge and experience of sheep rearing
read this, would think is the person is crazy to leave the remaining
sheep and go after the one lost? We all know of the proverb a bird in
hand is better than two in the bush. It is only those who know the
nature of sheep would dare to do this not the ones who do not know their
sheep.
Sheep are gregarious creatures, they always remain in groups. They know
danger is for those who are on the outlier so they try to remain within
the group. They also have the tendency to follow the leader, so to lead
a whole flock one just leads the first sheep and the rest tend to
follow. This works also if one needs to take all the sheep to slaughter
one needs to just lead the first sheep and the rest also follow to
slaughter.
Sheep are prey animals so flee at the sight of danger. They will never
walk in a straight light when gazing in the fields. They will always
watch their backs in one eye and then the other, time to time, thus do
not walk in a straight line. Sheep also have an amazing ability to
tolerate pain; they do this as to not show themselves as the weak one so
that predators do not target them first. As children of God we are so
alike to sheep. But God does not desire us to remain as sheep.
Jesus is called the Paschal Lamb but that is just symbolism of the
sacrificial Lamb. In Revelations the Greek word translated as lamb is
not the same work mentioned in John 1:29,36, Acts 8:32, 1 Peter 1:19.
The word use in John 1:29 is 'amnos' while the word used in Revelations
is 'arnion' which comes from 'aron' meaning a male or husband or man.
Translators have tried to take it as male sheep but the word for a male
sheep /ram is 'kriophoros' and not 'arnion'. Arnion can simply be
translated as male or husband and when we read the reference to the
scriptures it speaks of Son of Man / Son of God.
When we came into the Lord we may have been lambs and sheep but we now
need to change and stop behaving like sheep. We are called to have the
nature of Christ in us and become Sons of God. Let us not have the prey
behavior. Let us stop fleeing from situations at the slightest sign of
danger. Let us have faith in our Protector (Father) and also stop
looking back with one eye. Let is discern whom we follow. Paul said
follow me for I follow Christ. So if we find the person whom we are
following is not following Christ then it is time to stop following that
person and follow someone who dos until we mature to directly follow Christ.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You alone are our Father for You alone are our Creator, Protector
and Provider. Our earthly fathers were vessels through whose loins You
bought us into this world but they did not create us, nor do they
protect or provide for us without your help. Lord we pray we stop
behaving like sheep and start behaving like Sons of God having authority
in the Name of the Most High God...
This Prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and
honour, and glory, and blessing.
Revelation 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our
God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that
are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Church Entertainment
Luke 7: 32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and
calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have
not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
In today's scripture we see Jesus speaks of people who entertain each
other to get praises from each other. This entertainment may be joyful
entertainment or educational entertainment or even sorrowful entertainment.
This is what happens in every Church today. There is no Church void of
this entertainment. There are Churches who are not rooted in the Word
who do joyful entertainment; they concentrate on worship and nothing
else. Then there are those who love entertaining spirits so all the time
you will find members in the congregation falling or manifesting as if
they are possessed. The funny part is some of these regular performers
are appointed Church leaders. Then there are Churches where people's
traditions and rituals (imported from other beliefs) are done with
Biblical makeup. Lastly there are the so called 'Word rooted' Churches
who follow the word of so called 'Christian writers' more than the Word
of God. These people will have N number of training programs for every
reason under the sun.
The main problem with Churches is that the Holy Spirit is not
functioning in the Church. If the Holy Spirit is working in even one
Church, one will find total transformation of its people and the even a
city will not be able to hold it and not get changed by it.
The Spirit of God reveals the Word of God and when the Spirit of God
works, like it did with the 120 at Pentecost He changed almost every
person present there so also He will change every person who steps in
its congregation or in the city where the Church is present.
The Greek word 'ekklesia' translated as Church means a gathering with a
spiritual purpose. If it is not the Spirit of God that works in the
gathering then what spirit is working amongst it?
Let us stop playing Church - Church and start being a Church which is
rooted in the Spirit and Word of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are God and You are Spirit. Lord your Word says You desire
your people to worship You in Spirit and Truth. You Lord paid the price
and gave us the Spirit of Truth who reveals the Truth to us. Lord we
pray we concentrate on being connected to your Spirit and not to earthy
or unclean spirits...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the
word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power,
but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye
are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and
by the Spirit of our God.
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers
shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh
such to worship him.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
You will give birth
John 10:21-23a A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her
hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she
remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the
world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and
your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in
that day ye shall ask me nothing.
Today's message is not only for sisters in Christ but even for brothers
in Christ. In today's message the Lord tells us each and every one of us
who are in Christ will give birth and will go through the process which
a woman goes through while becoming a mother.
When we think of birth we think of very severe labor pain. People have a
misunderstanding when God created woman God had set a mother to go
through labor pain while giving birth.
Before man sinned a woman was to experience pain but this pain was very
mild so much so that she would hardly experience it. It was sin that
caused a woman to be cursed with her pain being multiplied. What a woman
experiences as severe labor pain is due to the curse. And when she by
her faith understands and accepts that Christ has broken all our curses
including the multiplication of labor pain then she will give birth
without knowing.
We see in Luke 2:6-7 while Mary was waiting with her fiancé Joseph (they
were considered married after the birth of Jesus when they had
relationship) for a room in an inn she give birth since she had
completed her nine months. She did not realize she was about to give
birth so was not ready for it since did not fell immense pain during or
just before her contractions. It happened so suddenly that Joseph became
her male midwife; he performed the necessary procedure, wrapped the
child Jesus in a cloth and placed Him in a manger kept outside the inn
to feed the donkeys (they were not in any stable).
In today's message the word translated as 'sorrow' does not mean pain
but means heaviness. It talks of spiritual and mental heaviness and not
physical pain. So as we go through the process of birthing we will have
heaviness but that heaviness will change into joy when we give birth.
The question is whom do we birth, and the answer is ourselves as a new
being and this happens when Christ comes again. Baptism is a process of
labor pain and our baptism in Christ ends with us giving birth unto the
new ourselves when Christ comes. The changes we go through during
baptism are nothing to what we become when Christ comes. Paul and Peter
state it as corrupt becoming incorruptible.
Today's message does not only tell us about what happens at the end but
also tells us what we need to do today. Like an expecting mother we are
called to slow down our natural selves, which mean our worldly desires.
We are called to monitor what we spiritually eat and make sure we eat
well. We also need to do our regular walk and exercise in Christ. The
small kicks and pains we feel during our carrying should not be taken as
pain but as a joy as a mother does; the more we feel means our healthy
deliver is assured.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. Your Word says man did not know
You until You manifested in the flesh and revealed your Name. Lord we
pray we understand your Word once spoken cannot be changed so although
You exiled Adam from Heaven You have made a way for us to return as a
new man Ishi. Your Word says only those born from above / again in
spirit will enter your Kingdom. Lord, help us through our birthing...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy

accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in
the inn.
Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt
call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

God does not condemn, we do to ourselves
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
Almost every Christian is well versed with the scripture John 3:16 which
states 'for God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that
whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life'.
When people read it they do not read what the scripture tells them but
read what people have stated about this scripture (this is common for
many scriptures).
Facts to note
1) God loves the world very much
2) So much so that He sent /gave His only Son into this world
3) So that whosever (not everyone)
4) Believed in Him (that means only those who believe)
5) Should not perish, but have eternal/everlasting life (means even
among those who believe there can be those who perish, for it does not
say 'will not' perish but says 'should not' perish).
If we talk to Once Saved Always Saved believers they would say those who
believed and perish were not true believers in the first place! Is the
Bible wrong in calling them believers and then saying they were not?
The problem with all this understanding is that fact, how can God who is
full of love and full of mercy, punishes people by putting them in Hell
where devils torture people.
Let it be clear first that Hell is not ruled by devils (fallen
angels/evil spirits) but ruled by God's Angels, it is a prison. Devils
themselves fear Hell. Secondly God does not punish anyone but they
punish themselves (the sins/evil within them burn in Hell). God is no
one's enemy, people and fallen angels are their own enemies. God is
saving us from ourselves for foolishness and vanity is driving us unto
self-destruction. Satan and evil have no hold on us unless we allow them
to take hold of us.
God being Holy, Righteous and True has set parameters and divisions in
His world (various levels of Heavens), those who abide in Him will dwell
nearer to Him and those who do not will dwell further for Him. So nearer
to Him is light and life (eternal - renewal of life), and further from
Him is darkness, death (no renewal of life), John 3:18 confirms this.
Jesus became the way to God when there was no way. He became a doorway /
stairway to Heaven when it was locked. But by standing on the way one
does not reach ones destination, by standing at the door one does not
enter the house. Jesus gave us His Spirit as our Helper to lead us
through the way so as to take us to the destination. OSAS believers deny
the Holy Spirit, as to His purpose in our salvation.
Jesus became our way and His Spirit became our Helper to lead us to
become like Jesus by transforming us from inside; in other words
renewing us spiritually to become Sons of God. Only Sons of God (both
males and females - in Heaven there is no gender) can enter Heaven.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Holy, Righteous and True. You do not change for perfection
cannot improve. What changes is your glory for it increases time to
time, from glory to glory. We pray Lord we understand we are our worse
enemy when the truth is not in us. Lord we pray your people remove this
darkness from within them so that they do not dwell in darkness after
they die their natural life...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Is incarnation Biblical?
John 1:21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I
am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
We read when John the Baptist was asked if he was Elijah / Elias who was
to come he answered no, he was also asked if he was Christ or the
promised Prophet (greater than Moses) and he said no. But when Jesus was
asked if John was Elijah then Jesus confirmed indeed he was. So we see
John did not know that he indeed was Elijah who was taken up.
Was the coming of Elijah as John an incarnation; also was God the Son
coming as Jesus an incarnation? We need to ask if incarnation is a
Biblical term before using it with Christianity.
Yoga cannot be considered Christian because the term speaks of spiritual
bonding to a universe spirit, which we Christians do not believe in.
Meditation in Yoga also does not mean concentration or focusing one's
mind but means the opposite. Hinduism believes mind is an obstruction
between human spirit and its attaining a higher level so Yoga focuses on
disconnecting the mind from the being. Hinduism does not believe in
salvation for it believe every soul is divine and just needs to work
through its karmas (works) to attain freedom from life chakra (life
cycle) to be one with the universe force, in other word it seeks freedom
from existence of life (death). Christianity on the other hand seeks
eternal life, even though we become one with God in Heaven yet we still
exist as an individual. So Yoga is not about bonding with God but
bonding with evil spirits and deceit.
We need to understand a term before we use it with Christianity. The
word 'incarnate' comes from the Catholic Church. It is a Latin word
which means a spirit becoming flesh.
This term may seem fit to be used for Elijah coming as John the Baptist
but then we all exist before we were born in our mother's womb like John
was. Bible says God knows us from the foundation of the world so do we
all become incarnated? Some may say we existed by design but then Bible
says God knows us by name and also when God blessed the father (i.e.
Abraham) He blessed the seed in his loins. Jesus was called seed of
David or seed of Abraham; He did not exist by design but truly existed.
Elijah did not die but was taken up to a higher demission of God's
creation and came back in the womb of Elizabeth as John. Elijah coming
as John cannot be considered as incarnation for Elijah had not died. In
spirit world flesh or any matter is not a matter of consideration like
for us in this natural world. Paul speaks of a great mystery on Judgment
Day that the Believers who exist then will be transformed without death.
Coming to God the Son coming as man Jesus, Bible says He humbled Himself
from the foundation of creation, so what was He when He humbled Himself,
before He became man then only would we will be able to understand. Also
the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the God the Son [there is no scripture
stating the Holy Spirit as Spirit of the Father but there are scriptures
stating Holy Spirit as Spirit of the Son], so how would one explain
incarnation in that aspect.
Let us be careful in importing pagan terms into Christianity for we can
mislead others into believing the wrong understandings. Let us state it
as the Bible says and not change it according to the world.
[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are Holy God and Bible says no being has seen You leaving
for the Son. Lord we pray we understand the Righteousness of the Son for
what He has done for us from the foundation of creation. We were made by
Him, through and for Him; it is His Spirit that leads us and transforms
us into Sons of God...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them.
Luke 1:55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from
the foundation of the world:
John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be
with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given
me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
him in love:
Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation
of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to
put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him,
whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from
the foundation of the world.
Mark 9:13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have
done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
Matthew 17:12-13
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him
not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also
the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the
Baptist.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Where does Jesus dwell?
John 1: 38, 39 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto
them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being
interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? He saith unto them, Come and
see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for
it was about the tenth hour.
We read in today's message two persons of which one was Andrew the
brother of Simon Peter who were witnesses to John the Baptist exalting
Jesus as the Lamb of God so followed Jesus to find where He lived and
this happened at about 4pm so they stayed with Him for the rest of that
day. During that time the Roman's day started at 12:00 mid night and the
Jewish day started at sunrise that is about 6:00am. The Romans used the
term hour and the Jewish originally used the term watch (change of guard
after duration of 3 hours, so day had 4 watches), here we see John in
his Gospel used a concoction of both. Jesus was returning home since
people would normally return to their houses before sunset or day break
which was about 6pm.
When I was a Catholic taking 'Frist Holy Communion' I was told that,
that day Jesus could enter my heart and stay there. It was a great
feeling to have Jesus in me, but then later I started questioning what
it truly meant; was Christ in that wafer I ate? What we eat exits our
body so how could Christ in that wafer dwell in me. If their words were
true then where was Christ, in my stomach, how could He travel to my heart?
Believers today when asked will say Jesus is in my heart. The fact when
they say 'heart' many point to the organ which pumps blood to the
various parts of the body.
In the Bible the world translated as heart mostly refers to the inner
man not organ. The OT spoke of God in our heart / inner-man, but in NT
many scriptures correctly point towards 'putting on Christ' when they
say 'Christ in us' and not as Christ dwelling in some part in our body.
Let us understand if we claim Christ is in us, we need to put on the
Nature / Name of Christ that means our behavior, our thinking, our
outlook should be Christ like. If we claim to have the Holy Spirit in us
then there should be some holiness in us, can I continue living an
unholy life while claiming to have the Holy Spirit?
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy God. You Lord command your children to be holy for You
are Holy. Lord we pray we understand if we are one in You then we need
to be like You for You do not change. Lord we pray we understand change
is required in us to be your children...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

them, walking on the sea.
Luke 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the
third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ
have put on Christ.
Ephesians 4:22-27
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man,
which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his
neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Seeking approval of man
Luke 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but
where are the nine?
We had this message a few days back where we saw the faith factor. Today
the Lord wants us to look at the fact that although the all ten were
already healed before they went to show themselves to the priest, yet
they went to show themselves to the priest to seek his approval of their
healing.
We need to understand a system is made so that the least will be guided
within it. Being in the IT service industry we have processes, SOPs,
knowledgebase etc. so that the not so skilled will perform like a
skilled person. So system is to protect like law protects us.
Today the Lord is telling us we as Christians we are not called to
blindly follow the law without understanding its purpose. The purpose of
the law is greater than the text of the law. A person who keeps the
purpose but does not follow the text does not break the law. We see
those who follow the text fulfill the law in the flesh but not
necessarily the spirit of the law.
Today's message the ten lepers were healed and were told to see the
priest so as to fulfill the law, but one of them knew he was already
healed so did not feel the need to get an approval of any man to confirm
it, he alone was the only one who returned to thank Jesus.
Understand some laws we can abide in the text but most of them are
impossible to abide by in the flesh. What is important is keeping the
law in the spirit. We need to understand the purpose of the law and it
is by this understanding Jesus simplified the Ten Commandment which were
principle to the Jews, into just Two Commandments.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. It would not take You a minute to change man
and save all mankind but You Lord desire a willing heart. You gave your
Word to be a fence unto us, to lead us and protect us. Lord we pray we
keep your Word in the Spirit and not in the flesh like the Jews, for
your Word says only those born anew in the Spirit will enter the Kingdom
of God...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 17:12-24
Mark 12:29-31
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear,
O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with
all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is
the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is
that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is
not of men, but of God.
Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead
wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not
in the oldness of the letter.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new
testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The Holy Spirit reproves us
John 16:8-11 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and
of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on
me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
When we read John 16:7-15 we see Jesus gave great importance to the Holy
Spirit, to the extend He stepped out of the way so that the Holy Spirit
can take over.
Jesus as our Paschal Lamb became our ransom and took away the
consequence of sin. Today if we believe in Jesus Christ we do not go to
Hell due to our sins [Hell is a prison created for sinners where man who
has sinned suffers his or her sins]. But then by just believing in Jesus
the damage caused by sin in man is not taken care of.
Problem with us is we think in the worldly way and the world tells us
sin is a stain that is why they just seek being washed of the stain. Sin
is not just a stain but more like corrosion, Paul calls it corruption
and this requires internal restoration. The sin nature (corruption)
within us causes us to sin so unless the corruption is taken care of, we
will not be able to enter Heaven as no corrupt being can dwell there.
Today's message tells us the Holy Spirit convicts or reproves us of 3
things sin [sin nature], righteousness and judgment (holiness since it
speaks of separation).
Any person baptized in the Holy Spirit may sin but will never be
comfortable with sin since the Holy Spirit reproves the person of his or
her sins. Even though we are not accounted for our sins yet we are not
allowed to continue in sin and this happens only when we are baptized in
the Holy Spirit for He will make us to fight the nature that causes us
to sin.
Other areas that the Holy Spirit reproves us, or cause us fight to
achieve is righteousness and holiness. Those baptized in Him will find
uneasiness when they live an unrighteous or unholy life and this is
because the Holy Spirit of God [Son]. The Holy Spirit [Spirit of Truth]
does this through His Word, it is He who reveals the Word [truth] unto
us and thus causes us to hold on to the truth and overcome the
corruption thus making us Sons of God.
It is when we understand this we understand why the Bible warned us all
sins are forgiven but anyone who grieves [overcomes] the Holy Spirit
will have no hope for they will not enter the Kingdom of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and You are Holy thus You desire a pure spirit. You
God removed man from Eden because he corrupted himself with evil, but
You did not forsake him. You made a way for man to be restored to You by
the Help of the your Spirit and for this You humbled yourself and became
man to pay the price for man to receive your Spirit. Lord we pray we
understand the importance of the Holy Spirit and without the Holy Spirit
there is no restoration and no entering Heaven. Holy Spirit speak unto
us and reprove us of sin, unrighteousness and unholiness, we pray we do
not drown your voice with our carnal desires...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go
away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if
I depart, I will send him unto you.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it
unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he
shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit
of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Realization
Luke 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but
where are the nine?
Whenever people have preached about this incident they have spoken of
the tenth man being thankful. If we look at the incident closely it is
not just about being thankful.
We read when the all ten lepers cried out for mercy, Jesus told them to
go and show themselves to the priest and they followed instructions.
Jesus did this because according to the Jewish law (Law given by Moses)
the leper on being healed needed to show himself to the priest to
confirm his or her healing. Once the priest inspected the pores of the
skin of the leper he would then confirm the healing and declare the
person clean.
If we look at the incident the nine lepers followed instructions and
went to show themselves to the priest to confirm their healing but the
tenth returned back for he was sure he did not need to show himself to
the priest to confirm his healing and thus came to thank Jesus. The
tenth came back because he had faith; it was his faith that caused Jesus
to tell him he was made whole. The tenth being made whole did not mean
that the others lost their healing or would again become lepers, being
made whole meant more than just healing.
We find when Jesus found great faith in a person He not only healed them
but blessed them to be made whole. Jesus telling them be made whole was
same as Jesus telling the thief crucified with Him, who had faith in Him
that he would on the day of His coming in glory be with Him in Paradise
(Eden).
Being made whole means to be removed of corruption, it means being
restored. When Jesus told them they were made whole that meant they
would be saved and would enter Paradise.
Paul says on the Day of Judgment we who are corrupt will be made
incorruptible. It is the restoration of the inner man which will make
enable man to enter Heaven. What Adam and Eve lost in the Garden of Eden
which got them to be exiled will be restored unto us and we will gain
entry to Paradise / Eden.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Merciful God. You are Holy and Righteous yet your mercy
gives us another chance to be restored unto You. Lord we pray we
understand the importance of being with You for with You is life and far
from You is death. Lord, help us to be whole so that we will be with You
in Heaven...
This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
