Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
False Humility
2 Corinthians 10: 13 But we will not boast of things without [our] measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
People think humility is about lowering one’s self esteem and make oneself nothing.
The Greek word for humility is ‘tapeinophrosune’ and is a compound word. It makes up of ‘tapeinos’ which means ‘not rising from the ground’ and ‘phren’ which means ‘mind’. So together it means not rising above one’s mental ground level.
What most people do as humility is not measure according to one’s own ground level but to the ground level of the other person thus do not lift the other person up. Humility is all about lifting people and is nothing about lowering one’s own level. It is about pulling people up and not pushing people up.
Humility is not the opposite of pride. Pride is about lifting one’s own self above one’s ground level. Some put even state love as an opposite of pride and love even though is more suitable then humility to be its opposite. But putting love and humility together is actually perfect opposite to pride. Love is about edifying others (strengthening others foundation) and humility about lifting others so together is not about falsely lifting others but lifting their ground level itself.
When David challenged Goliath, he did not boast in a prideful manner but spoke with knowledge knowing his level in the Kingdom of God. In Today’s message too we see Paul speaking of not boasting beyond the measure that God has set. He spoke knowing his ground level.
Do we know our ground level as a Christian, if we do not how our own ground levels then how are we going to lift others?
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are above every living being yet when part of You humbled yourself and become man You did not lower your Name or position but simply took the form and properties, giving up your powers not lowering them. You did this to lift us up to become like You. We pray we understand true humility and love from You and not from the false humility of this world which does not edify but only fools us to feel good...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary {to wish} humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1 Samuel 17:26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who [is] this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Does wisdom keep God away, and foolishness draw Him closer?
1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
If wisdom was anti God and foolishness pro God then all Christians would count amongst insane, senseless people. But that is not the case, when we read the context of the topic we find Paul speaking of the wisdom of this world being made foolishness by the wisdom of God.
If we check the Greek word used for foolishness in today’s verse the word is ‘moron’ which has the deeper meaning of having a ‘hidden thing’, another spirit. If this word is used by a Christians then it means the person has an evil spirit and if used by non-Christians means having a spirit not of their kind.
Jesus warned of eternal fire judgment to any brethren who calls another brethren ‘moron’ or ‘fool’ without confirmation. But if the world calls us ‘fool’ in sense of having a spirit unlike theirs then it surely is a privilege for us.
The wisdom of God that comes from God is true wisdom and a wisdom that brings perfect understanding. The wisdom that comes from this world is nothing but confusion, contradictions and fables.
Let us as Christians discern the wisdom of this world and seek the wisdom that comes from God. For this world we can be morons but for God and His Kingdom let us not be morons but be Israel (Sons of God).
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord have made the Heavens and this creation. Everything that is in it is perfect to minute details. It is the corruption of man that has caused this creation to become an enemy of mankind. Lord we pray your wisdom bring forth perfect understanding which will cause this creation to come in harmony once again...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen..
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 1:19-25
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Did Abraham give tithe and to whom?
Hebrew 7: 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
One basic fact people fail to see is who gave tithes and to whom was the statute of tithes given.
We find Preachers and Pastors speak of how Abraham gave tithe to Melchisedec because there is no other place in NT where tithe is discussed other than Jesus rebuking the Pharisees of trying to buy God with their tithe of their harvest.
If we look at scriptures it was Abram and not Abraham who gave tithe. Also an important fact to understand is tithe was given to the Priest (representative of the people) and not to Men of God or to the Church.
Our Churches lack because they do not truly teach about tithe, their greed causes them to suffer want. In the Church of Christ we do not see any person tithing but yet the Church did not lack in any area of need. The people did provide but not via tithe.
Heard many Preachers preach on Acts 5 the incident of the man named Ananias and his wife Sapphira. But never heard anyone actually give the reason why the harsh and instant judgment was passed unto them, how Peter came to know what the Holy Spirit told them, why the Holy Spirit told each one a different measure to give and all of them abided, leaving for this couple.
If we were to give to Melchisedec the king of Salem or to the Priest then we too would need to tithe, but if we are to give to the Lord Jesus Christ the King of Peace or to an Anointed of God or to the Church then we need to think again and not just tithe (10 percent) and that can happen only if we are people to whom the Holy Spirit speaks.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You God are Spirit and your Kingdom is not of this world. Those who love this world will not be found suitable for your Kingdom. Help your people understand why You gave the statute of tithing to those little in your Kingdom and also understand as we who grow in Christ, what we need to do...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Hebrew 6:20; 7:1-6
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Acts 5
Acts 4:32-37
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any [of them] that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid [them] down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, [and] of the country of Cyprus,
37 Having land, sold [it], and brought the money, and laid [it] at the apostles’ feet.

Priest amongst Brethren
Hebrew 2: 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
It is only when we get it into us the Lord humbled Himself and became one amongst us, one as us, one who is as venerable like us and mere human then only will we accept Him and our Priest.
We need to understand the difference between a Nabi / Man of God / God’s Anointed One and a Priest.
Priest is a representative of the people to God. Being a representative the priest needed to be from amongst the people. The task of the priest was to bring forth the offerings and sacrifices of the people to God. A Nabi / Man of God / God’s Anointed One on the other hand was a representative of God to the people, they became the medium through whom God interacted and guided His people.
Jesus Christ being Christ was the head amongst the Nabi / Man of God / God’s Anointed One and at the same time He was became our Priest to make offering of an eternal sacrifice of Himself.
We as His disciples are also called to be the Lord’s anointed ones and also priest forever. We are called to be mediums for God to communicate and guide His people and at the same time make offering of the pain and suffering of the people to Him. We are called to Chosen Royal Priesthood.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You made us and gave us dominance over this world thus You desire us to call on your Name for You to intervene into our lives, our world. Lord we pray as we become your representatives to this world we may also not forget our duty and priests as representatives of your people, that we always make an offering of their pain and suffering in prayer to You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Discernment is Key
Philippians 4:12, 13 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Paul who is famously misquoted to say ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’, lands up getting used by people to do the very things he strongly spoke against.
Today I am having my online session and had sent invites to a few who have been regularly in touch with me to seek more and more knowledge and understanding of scriptures. One sister wanted to forward the my invite to all her groups and I had to stop her. She told me they were Christian groups, yet I forbade her to do so.
Study of the Word of God is like a step which helps the seeing to climb in one’s spiritual life but for the blind this same step becomes a cause of fall.
All who come to Church or to Christ are not necessary wanting Christ, most of them want of Christ but not Christ Himself. What astonishes a person in Christ is to see how people fearlessly try to use God not fearing the consequence of their actions. There is a saying a foolish man dares what an Angel would not. We know an Angel is thousands of times more powerful than a man, yet he would discern his actions but when it comes to a fool, being reckless is his lifestyle.
Next time we think of quoting Paul in Philippians 4:13 let us not forget to quote 4:12 also. Let us understand although we can do all things yet we do not do or seek all things. We need to know what to do, when to do, how to do and why we do it. A Christian is a symbol of wisdom and not of foolishness. I have mentioned before the term translated a ‘fools for Christ’ does not mean a person lacking wisdom but means a person of another spirit.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord have made all things God yet You have us eyes to see, sense of taste, sense of smell, sense to hear and sense of touch so that using our senses we may know what to come close to and what to be far from, what to hold and what not to. We pray Lord we grow in discernment both of the natural and of the spiritual...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 4:9-13
9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
10 We [are] fools for Christ’s sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ; we [are] weak, but ye [are] strong; ye [are] honourable, but we [are] despised.
11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, [and are] the offscouring of all things unto this day.
2 Corinthians 6:4-10
4 But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and [yet] true;
9 As unknown, and [yet] well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and [yet] possessing all things.
Isaiah 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Matthew 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, [and are] the offscouring of all things unto this day.
2 Corinthians 6:4-10
4 But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and [yet] true;
9 As unknown, and [yet] well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Who is the enemy?
Hebrew 10: 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Those who think the battle of the Lord Jesus Christ is against Satan are the people who make Satan a god.
In Greek the word ‘daimonion’ translated as devil refers to a god amongst many other gods. The Greek were polytheist (many gods) thus the definition of Satan did not hold strong in their belief system, since they did not know God. It is because we do not know God that we lift up Satan and make him and adversary to God and not to man.
If we read scriptures we find the judgment over Satan and fallen angels has already been given, they know the punishment that is due unto them on Judgment Day. If their consequence is already due then what is the battle about?
The battle against sin is not against any individual but against evil. What is made an example forever is not an individual but the consequence of evil.
Let us not lift a cherub who fell or the evil spirits/fallen angels by making them an adversary against God. Let us understand they are an adversary to us humans since what they lost in Heaven is going to be our gain, their punishment is already due. We as humans also do not battle against them as man battles against another man, we fight against their works and their plans. It is for this reason the Lord gave us the power to drive them away and not to bind them, we bind their works and not them.
Let us know who the real enemy is, so do not let the real enemy get into us and use us due to our ignorance.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Wonderful, Counsellor and Eternal Father. You alone are Holy and although You humbled yourself and became man yet no iniquity was found in You. We pray we understand on the Cross when You said it is finished, what it really meant. Even though before man was created the fallen knew what was set for them, yet You made man to be the light in the darkness, so as to defeat darkness. We pray we know our enemy...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude 1:6-7
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Ezekiel 28:17-19
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never [shalt] thou [be] any more.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
"Now (your) hope does not disappoint..."
And it will never disappoint you!
Simon Son of Jonna un-stoned!
2 Peter 1: 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
One needs to understand during those days as people started moving around, to identify them became difficult by just their names thus a person’s name needed to be attached with the name of the father and even with the name of the place they were born/originated from. Another thing that was common was people with common names like Simon, Joseph, etc. were even given nicknames depending on things specific to them.
Simon son of Jonna was nicknamed ‘Cephas’ by Jesus, Cephas in Aramaic meaning pebble (small stone). This name in Greek was Petros which in English became Peter. The reason of him being named Cephas / Petros / Peter is something that is not understood by people.
Cephas in Hebrew is literately a curse word since it is ‘Tyrus’ a term used for Satan in Ezekiel 28. Would any Christian call their son ‘Lucifer’ even though the name means ‘bearer of light’? No.
Jesus was not implying that Simon Peter was associated with Satan. The term pebble symbolizes small truth or little knowledge. Simon son of Jonna had an inherent problem of opening his mouth and speaking out even though he knew little on that matter. Satan never tells a complete lie, his lies are based on some truth and that is why he is associated with Tyrus (Hebrew), Petros (Greek), Cephas (Aramaic), stone (English). On the other hand truth is described as Cela (Hebrew), Petra (Greek), Suhas (Aramaic), cliff or large rock (English).
Jesus did not name Simon as Peter (Cephas) to put him down but for 2 reasons one to let him know his deficiency so as to work on it, which he did. We see this man who habitually put his foot in the mouth over the years changed and in his last epistles especially the second one we find a depth of knowledge and understanding that if not beats Paul, at least challenges him.
The other reason that Jesus named Simon as Peter was because He knew that Babylon the Great, the false Church (Catholic Church) would be based on Peter, not Simon Peter but actually Tyrus that is Satan. It is for this reason we find in the letters to the 7 Churches that Church grew from being a temple of Satan to a throne of Satan from which God is blasphemed more than non-Christian religions, or even satanic cults.
When anything we do is based on a lie or part truth, we do not link it to Jesus Christ but link it to Satan. It does not shine the light of Christ but becomes a vessel of darkness. So let us be transformed like Simon the son of Jonna who un-stoned himself and reformed himself from within.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord created all things good yet You called some clean and others unclean. The image that they were created in was clean or clean and not the being itself. Lord You gave man a soul that can be transformed when breathe is in him and the corrupt image we were born in can be change to the perfect image in You. Lord we pray we do not remain Peter but be transformed like Simon son of Jonna did...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter {Petros}, and upon this rock {Petra} I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Revelation 2:9,13
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan.
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan’s seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth {rules}.

Are Teachers of the Word from Satan?
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
We find most people are made to believe that the Bible especially the NT is very simple and one should not try to dig too much into the Greek / Hebrew words or the grammar or try linking scriptures, thus complicating matters. This thought process comes from the English translation verses like today’s verse.
Today’s verse seems to state, like Satan deceived Eve with his craftiness so also he works through those who try to complicate the Bible or the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 12:15 says a fool is right in his own eyes and Ecclesiastes 2:14 says the fool walks in darkenss. Since a foolish person does not know actual facts thus thinks he is right and that is the story in today’s verse.
If one goes into today’s scripture Paul is not pointing towards simplicity of scriptures in Christ but of oneness in Christ.. The Greek word haplotes translated as simplicity actually means singleness / wholeness and if we see the context of this verse is in reference to people preaching another Jesus Christ.
Today those who talk of a simple Gospel or simple Bible are the very people whom Paul warned against because these people deceive into something which the Bible nor the Gospel is. Though the Gospel is to be given to all yet it is not for all to understand but only the sheep since only they will hear His voice, they are the ones who will understand, repent and turn back to God, while the others will not.
It will surprise you that more than 80% of Christians are not very clear with the primary purpose of the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross thus think just by believing or verbally confessing Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection they will go to Heaven or attending Church of Sundays and putting some money (10 percent) in the bag confirms their family ticket to Heaven.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are full of Wisdom and we being your children are expected to also be full of wisdom thus You gave us your Spirit of Truth, who reveals all things to us. Lord we prey people do not fall to the deceit of those who preach another Gospel, another Jesus Christ and another Word of God. We pray they understand the need of your Spirit of Truth so that they get the deeper knowledge and understanding of the Truth and it sets them free...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].
Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
Isaiah 28:9-13
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Matthew 13:13-14
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Repentance from Dead Works
Hebrew 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Today’s scripture talks of repentance from dead works and is from those which point to the key important points of foundational building of a Christian.
I have pointed before the word repentance does not mean being sorry but means making correction. Thus the words ‘repentance from dead works’ would mean ‘correction of dead works’. Now we need to know what does this term ‘dead works’ refer to. These dead works speak of works that do not bring fruit and key amongst them is works of righteousness. All religions focus of works of righteousness (Karma), they feel they can buy their way to God/s / heaven by their good deeds. Christianity on the other hand goes contrary to this belief. Does that mean Christians not believe in good works? No, Christian do believe in good works but do not believe it can save any one. He is not bribed by good works so as to ignore sins.
When it comes to works a Christian focus of works of faith, good deeds are a part baggage of a Christian. Works of faith focuses on the spiritual part of the person i.e. teaching a person to provide for one’s own self knowing God is our provider is works of faith, but till that stage is achieved a Christian does ignore the natural needs (doing of good deeds). Another example of a Christian v/s other religions is when a person is sick; a person of another religion would concentrate of taking care of the person and ministering to his or her medical needs, but a Christian will focus on healing the person by faith and building the faith of the person so that he or she receives healing not only of the body but also of the soul, till that time this happens the Christian will naturally help the sick person.
As Christians we are called to walk in the Spirit thus our works are works of the Spirit, but since we are still in the flesh we do not ignore good works, else the works of the Spirit fail. Can we save a dead lost sheep?
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Lord we pray as we seek to save the lost we also seek to feed the hungry. Let us be focused on the works of the Spirit but at the same time not ignore good deeds. We pray we understand our priorities and at the same time not ignore the necessary....
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Romans 3:10-12
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psalms 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are [all] together become filthy: [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.
James 2:20, 26
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Blind Faith is Sin
Romans 14: 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
We normally have the notion that breaking the commandment of God is sin. We think the 10 Commandments is all that sums up the commandments of God.
The Israelites of the OT/Jews did not know God and thus the 10 Commandments were like ABCD given to them (even to two/one summarized commandment.. In the NT as people (Christians) came to know God and received His Spirit the Lord wrote the Law unto their hearts, meaning what the Lord spoke/speaks unto a person in Christ is a commandment and that not done or broken is sin (i.e. if the Lord puts in our hearts to go and minister a person or to bless a person and we do not do it, it is not an option not done but a sin)..
In today’s scripture we read Paul going that one step ahead and stating that anything done without faith is sin. Paul did use this measure with eating food offered to idols. The sin in that case is not eating but acknowledging the idol by eating.
The Bible being a Spiritual book thus this law of ‘anything done not of faith is sin’ is concerning only spiritual matters. That means anything pertaining to God, or religion, religious practices (traditions), etc. done without understanding is a sin. We may not have the full understanding but we need to know the basic why. In other words blind faith is sin.
Every Christian is called to be full of wisdom and understanding, it is for this reason we are blessed with the Spirit of Truth. The term ‘being a fool from Christ’ does not mean being a person lacking knowledge and understanding but the Greek word means being of another spirit (not worldly).
If you are a Christian you are expected to have answers to every spiritual question and if you are a person struggling to answer then you need to ask yourself are you baptized in the Holy Spirit, have you received the Spirit of Truth, are you growing in the Spirit.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You God are Spirit and there is no limit to your Wisdom and Ability. We who are called to be your Sons need to emit that same character of You, thus You have given us your Spirit. Lord we pray we are not deceived to be children of vanity seeking a simple Gospel, a simple Word and a simple life. We pray we know that your Word is a treasure that needs more and more exploring and life in You is abundant and powerful...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Luke 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this [man] this wisdom, and [these] mighty works?
Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I [am] more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
1 Corinthians 1:20-21
20 Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Saints and Faithful Brethren
Colossians 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today’s scripture is taken from Paul’s letter to the Church at Colosse we read Paul starts with addressing first the saints, then to the faithful brethren. He distinguishes between the two categories. What is interesting is the factor of distinguishing the two categories is the factor of being faithful! There are some who will ask were not the saints faithful?
In a normal life of a person after his education he goes on to work and grows in his working career, once he comes to his retirement age he takes a break from work and enjoys his retirement life relaxing. But in the life of a Christian this is not the story. A Christian who is in the Lord is called to do ministry work even while he or she is working. In this period the Christian puts as much time available for the Lord and this is part of his or her Tithing (starts with 10% and then moves on to Giving which is more than 10% and is as much as led by the Holy Spirit). In Tithing (Giving) one is called not to give just part of his or her income but also part of his or her time (labor) and prayers. Any person who thinks just by giving 10% income they have done their tithing is deceived.
I have mentioned before a saint is not a ‘holy’ (better/perfect) person but a sanctified person. All are called to be holy as Christians, so a saint is not a holier person, since holiness is a virtue (Fruit) we will receive from the Father in Heaven like the Fruit of Truth we receive from the Holy Spirit and Fruit of Righteousness we receive from the Son (on Judgment Day). A saint is a person who has separated his or her life for the Lord’s Kingdom work, in other words is a full time minister.
Now many Pastors (Church shepherds) may think they are in the saints’ category since they are in full time ministry. Sadly they do not fall in this category. Pastors who take a salary (fixed income) and also regular increments are in professional work for the church like a Bishop or Deacon (these are people hired by the Church for administrative purposes, they are honorary or paid). A saint is a person who takes very basic needs (fistful as a Levi in OT), he is a person who cuts off from family life (not physically disconnecting from them, like Jesus did after the age of 30, He was doing part time ministry before that). Paul saved a part of his money thus later moved out from trading in tents and became a saint and as a saint he did not seek regular financial help but supported himself from his savings.
We need to understand each and every Christian is called to be a saint (full time minister) either at an early age or after retirement. The difference between a saint and a faithful brethren is that faithfulness is by default in a saint while a brethren struggles to keep the faith, that is why Paul made a distinction between the two by the term faithfulness. Let us ask ourselves when we are going to become saints, men of faith.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Father God are a Holy God, Bible says no being as seen You other than the Son who came from your bosom (within You). You Lord also sanctified yourself for the Temple work thus the Showbread and the Candle stand was kept in Holy place while only the Ark of Covenant was placed in the Holy of Holies. Lord we pray each and every Christian seeks to be a saint at some stage of their lives...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which [I have] for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge {govern} the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Colossians 1:26 [Even] the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Lukewarm people
Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Today’s scripture is amongst the harshest rebukes in the Bible. Most people think this rebuke is for a few like the ‘false prophets’ or ‘heretics’ people call out..
If people understand who these ‘lukewarm people’ are they will be shocked to know most ‘Christians’ (majority) fall into this category. Also this ‘spue thee out of my mouth’ is not a tap on the knuckle or pulling of the ears, but a punishment worse than Hell.
One of the greatest mistake our Churches have done is not included study of Judgment Day as part of foundation study, what they include as ‘Judgment Day teaching’ is from a fairytale or mythological story and not from the Bible. Most Pastors themselves are confused about Judgment Day. Put two to discuss it and one will see disagreement and discord.
People know something about Hell, but that too is a Catholic Church version, a place ruled by demons, a place of fire that exist below and is why many think Hell is in the core of the earth. When asked where Heaven is? Some like little kids think it is about the clouds and some others ‘smart Alecs’ think is in a far galaxy or universe cloud! (Scientology version). When it comes to Lake of Fire/Sulphur most people think is another name for Hell. In the Gospels Jesus uses the term ‘outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth’ (showing the great level of pain). This place He says is not a place for unbelievers but ‘children of the Kingdom’.
Past 2 days we saw those who mature in Spirit and grow into Sons of God (Israel/sheep) will enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven) but those who do not mature in Spirit (unprofitable servants/goats) in today’s message are those called ‘lukewarm’ and will be punished in the Lake of Fire.
Satan is unconcern with unbelievers who go to Hell (people already deceived), his main purpose is to send people to Lake of Fire a place made for his fallen angels and him (plural) to suffer, and that is why he is more active in churches than amongst the unbelievers.

Crown of Rejoicing
1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.
There are times I have got the same scripture given again, but consecutively the next day is very rare. It is very challenging to tap into that which the Lord wants to tell us especially when the scripture repeats.
Yesterday I was drawn of us being the glory of the Lord, today my attention was drawn to the first part of the scriptures ‘our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing’. Here we see hope, joy and crown of rejoicing are shown as having similarities. It does not mean they are the same. Hope is shown as growing into joy and joy growing not only just rejoicing but a crown of rejoicing. The Greek words used for crown of rejoicing are the words ‘stephanos’ and ‘kauchesis’. Stephanos means ‘mark of royalty’ and kauchesis means ‘boasting’ or ‘glorying’, it comes from the word kauchaomai which means ‘glory’. If we look at the true meaning of these words it does not mean ‘crown of rejoicing’ but means ‘crown of glory’.
Today’s scripture tells us we are called to grow from hope to joy to kingly glory. Let us ask ourselves where do we stand are we still people of hope or have we moved on to become people of joy. It is only if we are people filled with joy that we can look forward to be people of kingly glory.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You designated us to be Kings and we due to corruption of sin have allowed evil to rule us. Lord we pray by our battle against evil we may become people not only of hope but people of joy knowing evil has no power over us. It is only when your joy is in us will we become people of kingly glory...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Romans 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
2 Thessalonians 1:7, 10

Gentiles become fellow heirs
Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
In the book of Hebrews and in Colossians Paul mentions how things of OT were a mere shadow of the greater things that are heavenly.
If look at the breakup of the United Kingdom of Israel into 2 Kingdoms and later the Kingdom of Judah calling themselves Jews. These Jews rejected Christ and thus made way for the Gentiles to inherit the Kingdom. This did not mean if Jews accept Christ will not inherit the Kingdom, but all this is a shadow of Heavenly things.
All mankind of every race who are called in Christ are Gentiles (lost sheep) who now have right to inherit of Heaven because a part of the Angels rejected Christ, went into darkness and thus lost their inheritance.
Let us understand the greater role we play and the transformation God is doing amongst us Gentiles to be inheritors of His Kingdom. We are the Bride that causes the Debridement of the Heavenly Temple to become a part of it.

For ye are our glory and joy
1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.
We have heard of the Lord being possessive of His glory and have heard of how His wrath falls on any person who touches His glory. In Psalms we read how the Psalmist says the Lord is his glory, we also read in Isaiah how the Lord bluntly says how He is proud of His Name and how He will not share His glory with another. But through the mouth of the same Prophet Isaiah the Lord also spoke that His glory is Israel for His glory will be seen in Israel.
People think when the Lord spoke of Israel being His glory they think the Lord spoke of the country ‘Israel’. They do not realize the term Israel symbolizes Sons of God (the word means Princes of God / Princes having power in the Lord). In today’s scripture also we see Paul also reiterates the same understanding of Isaiah 49:3 when the people on Judgment day are transformed into Israel (Sons of God) becoming the glory of God.
Our God declared His Name are Jealous (Hebrew ‘qanna’ – some translation put as ‘Zealous’). Most people get confused with associating the term Jealous with God since jealousy is not a good virtue. It is only through traditional criticism (Biblical study of traditions of that period) that we understand the term ‘qanna’ (Jealous) meant the possessiveness of a mother to her children. We also know the word EL-Shaddai does not simply mean ‘Almighty God’ but means ‘Strong Breasted One’, it means God is everything to us, He provides everything, He also comforts us like a mother and protects us like a father.
It is only when we put the Name (Nature) of the Lord that we becomes Sons of God. When we become Sons of God we become His glory. We did not realize why the Lord gets very angry about sharing His glory with idols or another god (could also be a man who challenges God), it is all because He is Jealous/Zealous of us (‘qanna’) since we are His glory.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Omnipotent and Omnipresent God. You are all that we need will ever need. You protect, provide and comfort. In You alone is glory and when we put on your Name we become your glory. Lord we pray we understand You are possessive of your glory because You are possessive of us...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Isaiah 49:3 And he said to me, You are my servant, Israel, in whom my glory will be seen;

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Becoming a Saint
Colossians 1: 2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Catholic Church they have a long process to declare (canonize) a person as a Saint which goes on for years and years. Leaving for a hand full all most all were declared saints long after they died, even the few who were declared while they were alive saw the process start but was completed after their death.
When one sees this one wonders where all this comes from? The Bible has a total different definition of a saint.
What they do is similar to what the Toraja ethnic indigenous group in Indonesia are famous for, they dig out the bodies of their dead and keep it with them in their house at times for years. They inject the person on their death with chemicals that preserve the body, delaying its decomposition process. What they do is literately worship of the dead.
The Greek word for saint is hagios. It literally means ‘awful thing’ but being a compound word means ‘caste + cherished’. It speaks of not a holy person but sanctified person, who is separated for the purpose of doing God’s Kingdom work, like a Levi in OT.
In NT we all are called to be saints / Levis meaning doing the Kingdom’s work. In many places the term is used for those who totally give up their worldly life and dedicate themselves to serve the people of God, they do not work for their living but depend on their savings or support of the people, but in some places it also used for those who partly do God’s work and support themselves by working (like Paul thus called himself least amongst all saints). In short saints is a term used for the living working fo the Kingdom and not the dead who sleep.
In some scriptures in Revelation it speaks of the prayers of the saints. People assume the dead saints pray. No it refers to the prayers of the saints said while they were alive (still in their flesh bodies).
Firstly after death a person is neither male nor female but a spirit being. When a person dies what we have with us is their testimony. Because they believed in Christ in their death they sleep in Him. It also means they cannot communicate with humans (man in the flesh) nor are humans allowed to communicate with them, it is a grave sin.
In OT all are called to dedicate themselves to serve the Kingdom of God after a specific age or social situation. Jesus moved into full time ministry leaving His family life (not His family for He was still connected with them) after the age of 30. Before that also He used to do ministry work thus had disciples even when going to the wedding at Cana.
In today’s message we see Paul address to the Church congregation at Colosse in two categories as Saints and Brethren, meaning all Brethren were not Saints and Saints were more than just a Brethren.
Every Christian’s aim in life even if he or she is doing God’s work in whatever Calling, should be to live a life of a saint as and when life permits, that is dedicate oneself to serve the Lord’s people fulltime.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You alone are Holy and we are called to be holy. You also call us to be sanctified unto You and your Kingdom’s work. Lord we pray You make way for more and more Brethren live their lives as Saints doing your Kingdom’s work full time. Lord we pray change our hearts to seek sainthood not after death but while we are alive...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Gospel of Paul!
Colossians 1: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
There is a group of ‘Christians’ who go about saying the Gospel of Paul is the true gospel. They literately set aside the other books of the Bible and focus on the epistles of Paul.
There are few brothers who approached me saying ‘Brother preach on this’. I told them in time I will and today I will touch on ‘Paul’s Gospel’ and gospels by others.
Let is firstly understand the word Gospel in Greek ‘euaggelion’ means ‘good news’. What was the good news? The good news was when there was no hope God made a way for the salvation of mankind. Who was the way? The way was Jesus Christ. So is the Gospel a doctrine or a person? Paul himself went about saying he preached Christ.
Now what was the difference between the gospels of Paul or of Peter or of others?
The Gospel was not different for Gospel was still Christ but the means or way in which it was presented was different because their audience was different. Peter, John, James preached Christ to the Jews, while Paul and Barnabas preached Christ to the gentiles. Does that make Paul’s Gospel better? No.
Some may say Paul’s Gospel may be more suitable to us, since we are not Jews. There too there is not a clear YES.
We need to understand all of Paul’s epistles (letters) were milk for he complained these people did not have discernment to digest strong meat. Those who were spiritually strong like those of Berea, Paul did not write any epistle. Thus Paul’s Gospel as written in his epistles is excellent for those who are not Jews and are new in Christ, once they grow in Spirit they too need to move ahead from the epistles and touch the source from which Paul preached that is the OT.
Jesus Himself said the Prophets (OT) spoke about Him and it is only when we understand this will be like Paul and like others becoming Disciples of Christ and not land up as disciple of Paul. Our faith is in Christ whom Paul and others preached and not in Paul or Peter or anyone who preaches about Christ.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Merciful God. When there was no hope You became our hope. Since there was none found worthy You humbled yourself and become our cornerstone. You became our sacrifice to make peace between You and man so that we receive your Spirit to be transformed and again have inheritance in your Kingdom...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:18 What is my reward then? [Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
Galatians 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Lawful and Unlawful
1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient {profitable}: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Many a times I have mentioned this one scripture which is very important to understand, had it been written in the OT it would have had the word Selah (underline) after it. Romans 14:23 ends with ‘WHATEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN’.
Romans 14:23 simply says anything we do even in God’s name and do it without understanding it then it is sin. For example if we do spiritual things because some man told us, then we are spiritually following that man and not God, and when we do this we are accused of idol worship. If any person instructs us in God’s name we need to know where in the Bible is it written and then only follow.
People may find Romans 14:23 hard but today’s scripture takes things a step further since it tells us in simple words anything that we do that does not profit us or others then that thing is unlawful or goes against God. This scripture too deserves a Selah after it.
Let me take some examples in different areas of our spiritual lives. Say if we are in ministry and whatever we do is not bearing fruit amongst those whom we are ministering than we are not doing God’s work but doing our own activity, but since we are using God’s name thus it becomes unlawful or against God.
If we are going to a church and we do not see any change in our spiritual lives or in the lives of those whom we are fellowshipping with, then attending that church is unlawful according to God. Church is a place we build each other and ourselves, and if that is not happening then that is not a church but something else, but since it again uses God’s name it is unlawful and against God.
Another example if we are reading and studying God’s Word and we see no change happening in our lives than that reading or study is unlawful and against God. The problem is that we are not giving due seriousness to that which we are reading and thus belittling God and His Word; it that almost amounts to blasphemy of His Word thus unlawful and against God.
These example that I took are good things yet not done without due diligence or respect can anger God instead of pleasing Him. It does not mean we should stop ministry or stop going to church or stop reading His Word; but means we should do ministry with purpose, go to church which bring about a change and understand the Word of God is living Word, an instruction to life so should be given due importance.
Let us repent for all that we have done in God’s name but that which have been unprofitable spiritually. Let us bring correction and change our ways.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and there is no one other than You. You are a Living God and since You are life than You increase and thus we who have your life also should see increase. Anything that does not change for better then is not considered living and is dead or decaying. Lord we pray we discern our spiritual lives and see the stagnancy that exist in it. We pray we repent and change to be spiritually profitable and growing, thus emitting your life in us...

Lord You are Almighty God. You alone are Holy and we are called to be holy. You also call us to be sanctified unto You and your Kingdom’s work. Lord we pray change our hearts to seek sainthood not after death but while we are alive...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Gospel of Paul!
Colossians 1: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

When we ask those who believe that on death a saved person immediately ascends to Heaven and is welcomed with open arms, they say those who are judged on Judgment Day are only those who are still alive, they shall be judged on Judgment Day.
In the NT itself we have at least 3 scriptures which talk of 2 categories of people who will be judged ‘the quick’ and ‘the dead’.
The dead speaks of those who are asleep in the Lord and resurrect (rise) on His coming. These are souls from the time of Noah who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. One may wonder, how can those in the OT believe in Lord Jesus Christ when the fact is He became man only 2000years back?
If one knows the Lord Jesus Christ then one would not ask such a question. For example the term ‘Yahweh’ (YHWH) does not refer to the Father but refers to the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact is that He humbled Himself from the ‘foundation of creation’ meaning before He created the Heavens of Earth (natural creation). Now what He became as He interacted with those in the OT before He became man itself is very interesting study by itself. But the fact remains He and His Spirit were involved with the salvation of man from the beginning.
If ‘the dead’ means those who are asleep in Christ, then who does ‘the quick’ refer to? If we get to Greek word it simply is the word ‘zao’ meaning ‘alive’ (Romans 14:9). These are the people Paul said as the great mystery which speaks of people getting transformed into spirit beings without dying and resurrecting (transfigure - rapture).
The scripture in other words means the Lord Jesus Christ will judge those who are yet alive at His coming and also those who have slept in Him. It is of this time of His coming in glory that the criminal crucified next to Him referred to and asked Jesus to remember him, to which Jesus said ‘that day (not ‘this day’) you will be with me in Paradise’.
The Bible talks of only 2 comings of Jesus Christ, one as a child in the womb of a virgin woman to be our way to salvation, and second to judge mankind (those who believe in Him). What confuses people is the mention of 1000years of His rule. They do not give deeper attention to who is the one that rules and how this rule is. Since they are worldly and their thoughts worldly, they think like the Jews (who did not recognize their Savior) that ‘a man in the flesh will sit on a throne and rule all different countries for a thousand years’!
Let us remember Christ came not to save this creation but to save us. This whole creation (universe) was made for us and exist till the job in us is done, so the day we are transformed in Him this whole world will perish and He will come to take those amongst us who have been faithful to Him unto Heaven our permanent home.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty Go. You are Spirit and your Kingdom is not of this world. You made us in this natural creation so that we overcome it and become powerful spirit beings that overcome the darkness that existed before we were made. Lord You made us for greater things than we can imagine. We pray that natural world does not destroy us and hinder our entry to your Spirit Kingdom...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Resurrection of the dead
2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
If people understand today’s scripture most of them including most Pastors will blush, for they too have been party to this folly.
When any one dies the first thing they state the person is now in Heaven and is looking down on us! Some of them add lots of masala and drama to that event stating how the Lord said unto them ‘well done my good and faithful servant’. Every funeral one sees this comedy of errors played out.
People read less what scriptures say and follow more what people say. The scriptures are clear about resurrection of the dead (flock) happening just before Judgment Day, yet most Christians speak of people going to Heaven as and when they die. They behave like the Hindus who believe in reincarnation and life Chakra (cycle) yet refer to their dead as ‘Swargiya’ (resident of heaven).
Most Christians do not know the actual meaning of the word ‘resurrection’ Greek ‘anastasis’ and Hebrew ‘quwm’ (means to rise up). When referred to the dead how it matters to where they are/were and does not mean they entered Heaven.. Take the case of the dead Samuel whom King Saul called up, when he rose (quwm), he complained to Saul as to why did he call him ‘up’.. Even in the case of Stephen in NT when he died (gave up his spirit) it is written ‘he slept’.
After death all those who believe in Christ sleep in Him, including those from the OT (gathered unto the fathers/people) and NT (‘sleep’ in Christ). These souls dwell in a realm referred to as ‘Grave’ / ‘Sea’.. On Judgment Day they rise / resurrect and stand before the Throne of Judgment. It is only when the flock are judged and the sheep separated from the goats do the sheep go to Heaven.
The Bride goes to Heaven not in parts but as whole.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy and only You are Prefect. We who are created in your image need to be perfected in You to dwell with You. We pray Lord we understand the Heavens and understand how we need to be transformed to enter Heaven. This transformation happens when we rise up (resurrect) on Judgment Day. We pray we do not folly in our understanding and words and thus become a cause of confusion to others...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Matthew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Matthew 11:22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Spirit beings vs matter
Acts 5:23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
Humans are defined as spirit beings that dwell in body of flesh. When this body as free of sin then the flesh had no hold on the spirit being, thus Adam and Eve did not know they were naked. Later when they sinned they were bond within this flesh and thus knew their nakedness.
God covered man with the skin of an animal to hide his nakedness not from God but from man himself. We wear clothes mainly to cover our nakedness from ourselves and then from others. Our nakedness reminds us of our sin even if we are Believers and in Christ. It in only on Judgment Day when the Truth (wholly) is in us that we receive the Righteousness from the Son and get fully transformed to higher spirit beings not bond to a natural body, similar to the Angels.
There are times in scripture like in today’s given incident and also like in the case of Philip where they experienced teleportation breaking natural laws (that is understood by man). As pre science teleporting is more making a copy in another location of that which exist, since we are governed by time and space (distance). Time and space needs to be covered; like one cannot jump time so also one cannot jump space. Some fiction seekers formed the concepts of wormholes and quantum jump to break the laws of time and space.
What science can just dream of, is what we can experience when we are in Christ. But that does not mean we will see this happening will many anointed men of God. No. What I want to convey is that this is not impossible and when time comes this can happen.
From my 15 years of ministry there is only one testimony I heard of something like this happening, but since the testimony was not firsthand by the mouth of the person but via someone else (a Pastor) I do not mention it publicly even though the Pastor is trustful.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit. The Spirit world is more real than the natural world which we dwell in. It is sin that binds us to this natural world and we know when we overcome sin the natural will have no power over us. Lord we pray we understand are called not to be supernatural but unnatural...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
John 6:24-25
24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
Acts 8:39-40
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.
Acts 5:18-25
18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
21 And when they heard [that], they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,
23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

Man instead of Angels
Hebrews 2: 16 For verily not to angels doth he give help, but he giveth help to the seed of Abraham.
When there was darkness and our creation was not yet formed God (Christ) created us to be the light that shines in the darkness and overcome it.
One may wonder why God did not simply get the remaining lot of Cherub / Angels to overcome those who had fallen, why involve the minuscule and insufficient creature like man?
We know God is not a fool to depend on a wormlike creature called man against the mighty fallen cherub/angels.
We need to understand to win this battle against those who had fallen is not even a snap of the fingers for God, but He does not see the evil doer as the enemy, instead He sees the evil as the enemy. Thus focusing on the evil and not the evil doer / the sin and not the sinner the Lord caused mere man to make an eternal example of darkness such that never again would it exist.
The battle of David and Goliath is preached again and again not because the mighty Goliath was defeated but because of the stature of the person who defeated him and with what he defeated the heavily armed mighty Goliath.
We are nothing and God knows that but the fact is He is with us makes all the difference. Let us not look at ourselves but look at the one who is with us.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Before You there is no worthy rival yet You allowed darkness to come into existence so that You make an external example of it. You use mere man against the mighty fallen angels by not battling them but the darkness they bought into existence. Lord we pray we understand your ways. It is You that makes the difference in any situation. We are nothing, but when You are with us the situation is nothing...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Genesis 1:1-3
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Job 25:2-6
2 Dominion and fear [are] with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean [that is] born of a woman?
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6 How much less man, [that is] a worm? and the son of man, [which is] a worm?
Hebrew 2:9-10, 14-16
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on [him the nature of] angels; but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Was Melchisedec a priest?
Hebrew 5:6 As he saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
I have heard many real crazy preaching on Melchisedec on how he was an imitation of Christ in the OT, some took this a step further and also made Moses and imitation of Christ.
In OT a king and a priest were separate roles and a king was not allowed to adore the robes of a priest. The only priestly thing any king in OT did was King David and that was to eat of the Showbread kept in the Tabernacle / Holy place. Any king doing any priestly activity saw the wrath of God.
In the NT which was written in Greek by the Apostles themselves (initially they started in Aramaic) has some words in Aramaic and Hebrew untranslated for a purpose.
Of the 3 Biblical languages Hebrew was the language of the temple (Jews spoke this and preached in Synagogues in this language), Aramaic was the language of the people (spoken in public places) and Greek was the language of authority / governance (used by the Romans who ruled over them and also common language of the world at that time like English is today).
If we look the very next verse (7) it speaks of ‘when He was in the flesh He offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared’, ‘though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered’. So here it does not refer to the individual of the OT but to Jesus Christ as ‘King of Righteousness/Peace’ – ‘Melchisedec’ in Hebrew means King of Righteousness and he was the King of Salem (peace).
Even in chp.7 which actually speak of the incident of the individual of the OT bringing an bread and wine offering to Abraham, here too there is a fusion between Christ and the OT individual. Only verse 7:1 talks of the individual while the remaining verse talks of Christ as one without (human) father or mother, without beginning of days or end of days (Alpha-Omega) and having the image of Son of God holding eternal priesthood. The term ‘priest’ meant representative of the people to God.
Adam was made by God from dust and bought to life, Eve was made from Adam (his rib bone) and the remaining of human generations were born from the womb of a woman including king Melchisedec. Jesus was implanted in the womb of a virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit from the day 1 of birth cycle of a human (He took exactly 9 months) making it a surrogate birth (Mary’s egg was not fertilized). Thus Mary was His mother legally yet was not His biological mother.
During that time people did not understand the term surrogate birth but today science shows how it is done artificially. Let us not fear to call Mary the surrogate mother of Jesus. Note she was referred as ‘mother of Jesus’ when Jesus was in the flesh. We see John refers to her was ‘mother of James and Joses’ (her biological sons) when Jesus died and had yet not resurrected, but after Jesus resurrected in the flesh she again was referred to as ‘mother of Jesus’.
Our biological relations exist as long we are in the flesh, the moment our spirit leaves the body then neither does our biological gender continue nor our biological relationships continue.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and your Kingdom a Spirit world. Lord You created both man and woman in your image and bought them as male or female in the flesh. You put us in micro families so as to understand the Body of Christ (Church) although we all belong to one Heavenly family and are brethren. We pray we know who You are and who we are in You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Hebrew 5:6-10
6 As he saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrew 7:1-4
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Matthew 27:56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.
Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
King Eternal, Immortal and Invisible
1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, [be] honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
In my initial days in Christ as I would read or speak the exaltations to Christ as ‘King of kings’ and ‘Lord of lords’, I would wonder He was King over which kings? Was it kings of this world. And He was Lord over which lords? Were there other gods to be declared Lord over lords?
It was only after many years of Bible study that I was clear of Him being King over which kings and Lord over which lords.
In today’s scripture He is called King eternal, immortal, invisible. These adjectives of being eternal, immortal and invisible are currently unique to Him. You may wonder why I used the word ‘currently’.
It means the other kings are not having these properties of eternity, immortality and invisibility, they are currently under curse of death, are mortal and are visible.
The kings over which He is King over is not heads of worldly regimes but kings whom God had set over this creation when He created them. Yes it is man who was made king over this creation for we had dominance over this creation until we sinned and let evil (Satan) rule it. As we come in the light of Christ we chase the darkness out of this creation and gain back our Kingdom. We become kings again.
The term used in OT is Prince instead of Kings and we see Christ (in His humbled form) is also referred as Chief of Kings/Princes in Revelation. The term Israel (Princes of God) was used not for a worldly race but people of promise which symbolizes Sons of God. Christ in other words is Chief / Arch amongst Sons of God, Chief / King of Israel.
In Philippians Paul states how Christ who was God (equal / one with the Father) humbled Himself to become man. Here he does not say he directly became man but speaks of steps He took before becoming man. Let us understand He became like one of us so that we become like Him. He is called to Corner Stone / Head stone the stone which the worldly builders rejected, so that others become like Him.
What excited me most in knowing is that man goes to Heaven not as humans, something which most Christians are unaware of. Paul says flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. We too then will be eternal, immortal and invisible; but then He will still be Chief over us.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are called Love for your love is unmeasurable. This unmeasurable love was also invisible to man until You became one of us and manifested love. Today we are receiving droplets of your love and mercy; the later rain. Lord we pray You open the minds of your people so that they see the plans You have for them and rejoice so that, that joy will keep them through the challenges and problems which they face in this world...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Philippians 2:5-7
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince [chief] of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.
Revelation 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
John 10:34-35
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Are we People of the Way?
Acts 22: 4 and I persecuted this Way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
Paul in his testimony confessed how he persecuted Christians who followed Christ. During that time they were not called Christians but were called people of The Way. This term ‘People of the Way’ was given to them because they were considered a diverted sect from Jews and followed a way of life that was totally different from other people including the Jews. Primarily their lifestyle was different from worldly people.
In today’s world we have for example the Parsees who live a community life which is totally different from worldly people. They have colonies having the same type of houses irrespective to individual’s contribution to the community. Though they may have different types (standards) of colonies but they try to show equality (at least) in that colony.
It is sad we Christians are unidentifiable from worldly people. People need to ask us what belief we follow. There are a small portion amongst us whom people identify as Christians because we preach about our Churches, and very, very few preaching about Christ.
Let us be Christian who do not need to tell anyone that we follow Christ by our words but they would see Christ in us.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You being an Omnipotent and Omnipresent God, yet You humbled yourself to become man and dwell amongst us. We pray we understand the importance of setting a life example of yourself amongst your people so that they see You in us and come to You. We pray we do not remain Believers but graduate to become Disciples...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 9:2 and asked of him letters to Damascus unto the synagogues, that if he found any that were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
Acts 19:9 But when some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
Acts 19:23 And about that time there arose no small stir concerning the Way.
Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;
Acts 24:22 But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter.
