Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will decide whether Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib will be allowed to enter the Jewish State for an upcoming tour of the West Bank; potentially blocking the lawmakers for their calls to boycott the country.

“Democratic U.S. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are planning a visit to Israel and the West Bank in the coming weeks, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have to decide whether they would be let in to the country, over the support they have voiced for the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement,” reports Haaretz.

“Israeli law allows authorities to deny entry into the country by individuals who support boycotting the country. However, the Foreign Ministry has the authority to recommend to the Strategic Affairs Ministry and the Interior Ministry issuing waivers for political or diplomatic figures, if it deems denying them entry would harm Israel’s foreign relations,” adds the website.

Ultimately, the decision will be made by the Prime Minister.

Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib introduced new legislation this week defending a boycott of Israel; directly comparing the world’s only Jewish State to Nazi Germany during World War 2.

“U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar proposed a resolution this week supporting the right to boycott Israel, likening the boycott of the Jewish state to boycotts of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union,” reports Fox News.

“Omar’s resolution seeks to push back against U.S. laws banning the boycott of Israel and affirms the right of Americans to organize boycotts of foreign countries if they so wish,” adds Fox.

“We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our First Amendment rights in regard to boycotting… And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement,” said Omar.

The BDS Movement -or Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions- is a pro-Palestinian boycott of Israeli companies and products.

“Americans of conscience have a proud history of participating in boycotts to advocate for human rights abroad including … boycotting Nazi Germany from March 1933 to October 1941 in response to the dehumanization of the Jewish people in the lead-up to the Holocaust,” Omar said in the resolution introduced Tuesday.

Congressman Lee Zeldin slammed the resolution, saying “Israel is our best ally in the Mid East; a beacon of hope, freedom & liberty, surrounded by existential threats. Shame on Rep @Ilhan Omar for bringing her hateful twist on that reality to House Foreign today, propping up the BDS movement & blaming Israel for all of its challenges.”

Imam Ahmed Billoo posted a prayer to Allah on Facebook to “exterminate” the Jews and yet he is allowed to spread his hate and murderous aspirations. 

Prominent Californian Imam Ahmed Billoo posted on Facebook a prayer to Allah on July 6 to kill the Jews. “Reduce their numbers, exterminate them, and don’t leave a single one alive,” he wrote.

He added the hashtag “Zionists,” adding that he was feeling annoyed at his location – Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. During his trip to Israel, he visited the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Arriving in Istanbul after his departure from Israel, Billoo posted: “So good to be in a Muslim country” and “#TiredofSeeingZionists.”

Billoo serves as a “professor” at California Islamic University and as a teacher at the Institute of Knowledge, a seminary that offers religious advice to Muslim students and trains the next generation of imams. Its faculty includes prominent clerics from the hardline Salafi and Deobandi strains of Islam.

A 2007 article in the Jewish Journal, referring to Ahmed Billoo as president of the Muslim Student Association at California State University at Long Beach, quotes him expressing support for suicide bombings in Palestine on the grounds that “Islam justifies” such attacks.

His sister, Zahra Billoo, is director of the San Francisco branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization said to be linked to Hamas and that has compared Israel to ISIS.

Zahra often appears alongside her brother at events across California, writes Seth Westrop of Islamist Watch.

“Billoo is tasked with teaching young Muslims about Islam and training the next generation of American Muslim clerics,” notes Westrop, adding that “some might consider it rather alarming, then, that someone in such a position of responsibility is also calling for the mass extermination of Jews.”

An Orthodox Jewish man, threatened with robbery, was beaten Friday night on his way to synagogue.

On Friday night, an Orthodox Jewish man was brutally attacked in Monticello, New York, while on his way to Sabbath prayers, Yeshiva World News reported.
According to local police, a man on a bicycle confronted the Jew, demanding money. The Jew explained that he was not carrying money as it is forbidden to do so on the Sabbath.
At that point, the assailant attacked him.
The bloodied victim entered the synagogue missing his shoes, glasses and shtreimel (fur hat worn by Hasidic Jews on the Sabbath and special occasions.)
Having initially refused medical attention, the victim felt ill later in the evening. He was evacuated to the Catskill Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a broken nose and facial trauma.
Since the 1920s, many Jews, primarily from the New York area, have spent summers in the Catskill Mountains, either at resorts, bungalow colonies or summer homes. This tradition started due to anti-Semitism that denied accommodation to Jews in many hotels at the time.
The phenomenon of Jews vacationing in upstate New York was so common that the area was nicknamed the “Borscht Belt” (borscht is a beet soup commonly eaten by Jews) and the “Jewish Alps.”
Monticello Police are investigating the attack.

‘The incident will not pass in silence,’ Hamas declares after the IDF eliminates a terrorist planting an explosive device along the Israel-Gaza border.

Israeli forces shot and killed a Hamas operative whom they believed was attempting to place a bomb on the border with Israel and Gaza near Kibbutz Erez on Thursday. Hamas was quick to threaten retaliation, saying “The incident will not pass in silence.”

The Gaza Health Ministry reported the the death of the 28-year-old Hamas member Mahmoud al-Adham.

Several hours after the shooting, the Israeli military issued a statement clarifying that soldiers identified two Palestinians near the border fence, but “misidentified” a Hamas operative who was actually part of a unit that controls rioting along the security barrier.

“In retrospect, it appears that the IDF troops who arrived at the location misidentified the Hamas restraint operative to be an armed terrorist and fired as a result of this misunderstanding,” the army declared, according to the Associated Press. The army is reviewing the incident.

Maariv reported that the Palestinian news agency Shihab said that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued a statement saying, “The occupation shot one of our fighters while carrying out his duties. We are assessing this crime, and stress that the incident will not pass in silence. The enemy will bear the consequences of this criminal act.”

On Tuesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades ran a drill simulating a response to an Israeli ground incursion.

Fishing was stopped and a high level of alert was declared. A curfew was imposed on some streets and traffic stopped as Hamas fighters fanned out along Gaza’s land borders, and closed crossings to civilians and vehicles.

Officials in Gaza estimated that the drill had been prepared ahead of time, possibly in the expectation of a military conflict with Israel in the next few weeks.

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry in Gaza said that a drill’s aim was to evaluate the readiness of Gaza rescue forces and emergency network to handle a “state of emergency.”

The IDF also discovered a tunnel dug from the Gaza Strip into Israel, but thinks it’s an old one. It’s even been suggested that it was the very tunnel through which Gilad Shalit was abducted. Shalit was captured by Hamas militants in a cross-border raid in 2006. He was eventually returned in 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange.

Will the UN Listen?
If their appeal legally goes through, will the UN listen? They have not listened in the past. In fact, not only do they refuse to condemn Hamas, but they instead criticize Israel. They accept complete lies about the Jewish state.
It is sad to see that it has come to this. And it is sad that the UN has not cared thus far. But it is amazing to see the Jewish people standing up for themselves! They refuse to allow Hamas’ terrorism to take over their lives. And that is truly heroic.

An international research team headed by Israeli Professor Itzhak Mizrahi of Ben Gurion University’s Department of Life Sciences and of The National Institute for Biotechnology in the Negev (NIBN) has found that cow genes can be used to control rumen microbiomes in order to control the amount of greenhouse gases that animals emit.
The findings have profound implications for dairy and beef farmers trying to reduce their industry’s contribution to climate change as well as bolster dairy producers’ attempts to maintain or improve milk production efficiency while maintaining product safety.
The study, which studied 1016 cows spread over Italy, Finland, Sweden and the United Kingdom, found that that a small number of host-determined, heritable microbes make significant contributions to explaining experimental variables and host phenotypes. This, they predict, will lead to microbiome-led breeding genetic programs to provide a sustainable solution to increase efficiency and reduce emissions from ruminant livestock.

Jason Greenblatt has got it right. Aside from the fact that he is willing to call Israeli towns what they are - towns and neighborhoods, not 'settlements' - he understands that the towns are not the reason for lack of peace. At least SOME people see the real issues at hand!

Here is something the world needs to get straight: Israeli towns and neighborhoods in Judea and Samaria are just that – towns and neighborhoods. They are not “settlements” that the Jewish people just built on land that did not belong to them. The entire land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. Including Judea and Samaria. It is even in the name – JUDEA!

It is so refreshing to listen to Jason Greenblatt, a US envoy, say this. Many past presidents and their advisers did not say anything that even came close to sounding like this.

Israeli Towns Aren’t the Issue
Another important point that Greenblatt touched upon is that fact that the Israeli towns are not the cause for no peace. The world cannot seem to understand that. Giving away Jewish land to the Palestinian Arabs just gives them more land to carry out terrorism. The issue is not merely about land. It is about the acceptance of the existence of the State of Israel at all. They do not want to create a state side by side with the Jewish people. They want to DESTROY the Jewish people. The Jewish neighborhoods and cities are not the cause of any conflict. But the Palestinian Authority’s “pay for slay” definitely is. The ongoing intransigence of the Arab leadership to accept any level of Jewish dominion in the State of Israel is the core of the issue.

Let’s get the facts straight so that real peace can come soon.

Soccer Emerges as the Potential Icebreaker of the Gulf Crisis

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: June 5 was the second anniversary of the GCC boycott of Qatar. In a soccer-mad region, Qatar’s World Cup 2022 might turn out to be the catalyst to finally bring the boycott to an end.

It was on the soccer pitch that 2022 World Cup host Qatar definitively shrugged off the UAE-Saudi-led economic and diplomatic boycott of the Gulf state as the crisis entered its third year with no prospect of resolution.

World soccer body FIFA’s abandonment of Saudi-United Arab Emirates-backed plans to expand the 2022 World Cup from 32 to 48 teams just days before the boycott’s June 5 second anniversary could not have come at a more opportune moment.

The FIFA decision came on the heels of Qatar’s unexpected victory at the Asian Cup and was followed by reports that the Gulf state’s sovereign wealth fund is negotiating the acquisition of British club Leeds United.

The acquisition would give Qatar a second top European team after Paris Saint-Germain. The soccer side of the Gulf rift could potentially go to the English Premier League, home to UAE-owned Manchester City. So would a possible Saudi acquisition of Manchester United.

The soccer pitch is but one venue on which Qatar has been scoring points. Three years into the boycott, Qatar’s detractors – Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt – have failed to either force Qatar to accept demands that would have undermined its independence and sovereignty or convince the international community of the legitimacy of their approach.

On the contrary: Qatar is thriving economically. Oman, Turkey, and Iran have compensated for the rupture in logistics caused by the breaking off of air links with its detractors and the closure of its only land border with Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, rather than being internationally isolated, Qatar has deepened relations with the world’s major powers – the US, China, Europe, Russia, and India – and reinforced its position as mediator or key player in conflicts ranging from Afghanistan to Gaza.

Ironically, Qatar has been able to turn the Gulf crisis into one of the few issues the world’s rivaling powers agree on, which narrows the cul de sac in which its detractors find themselves. Washington, Beijing, Moscow, Brussels, and Delhi all want the Gulf crisis resolved, but have failed to convince Riyadh and Abu Dhabi that everyone would be best served by a resolution that allows all parties to save face even if it falls far short of the boycotters’ demands.

Those demands reflect a broader Saudi and UAE policy that aims to shape the greater Middle East, stretching from Central Asia to the Horn of Africa, in their mold. They aim to force governments to tow a Saudi-UAE line that promotes autocracy, rejects political participation, opposes political Islam, and violates human rights.

The boycotters demand that Qatar align its military, political, social, and economic policies with those of other Gulf states, shutter its Al Jazeera television network and other Qatar-funded media outlets, end military cooperation with Turkey, and close down a Turkish military base in the country.

In a rebuke to the boycotters, who also demanded that Qatar revoke citizenship granted to political refugees from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain, the Gulf state – on the third anniversary of the boycott – issued the region’s first asylum law.

The law applies explicitly to human rights defenders; journalists, writers and researchers; political, religious, and ethnic minority activists; and former or current officials opposed to their government’s policies who are threatened with persecution.

To be sure, Qatar’s positioning of itself as a defender of human rights has holes in it that make it look like Emmenthaler cheese. Domestically, press freedom is nonexistent. In May, the government abruptly closed the Doha Centre for Media Freedom after firing its first two directors for taking the organization’s goals literally. It took widespread criticism for Al Jazeera to suspend two journalists and pull a recent seven-minute, Arabic language video it had posted to its social media channels that claimed Jews exploit the Holocaust and that Israel is the genocide’s “greatest beneficiary.” (To be fair, the network said the video “contravened its editorial standards” and mandated that all staff participate in a bias and sensitivity training.)

The contradiction between Qatar’s advocacy of political change everywhere but at home is rooted on the one hand in the recognition that transition is inevitable, and that Qatar is best served by being in front of the cart rather than behind it; and on the other the seemingly naïve belief that the Gulf state itself can remain immune.

This explains the crisis and the demands of the boycotting alliance.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE strive to maintain the region’s autocratic status quo by suppressing dissent and activism and projecting military as well as soft power. Qatar’s strategy, which embraces change to a certain degree, is wholly built on soft power.

This strategy is built on diversified gas sales; maintaining relations with all parties to position Qatar as a go-to-mediator; projecting the Gulf state as a global, cutting-edge sports hub; situating Qatar as a transportation hub connecting continents with a world-class airline; turning the Gulf state into a cultural hub with dazzling museums and art acquisitions; and investing in Western blue chips and high-profile real estate.

Alongside diplomacy, economics, media, and football, gas is increasingly emerging not only as a battlefield but also as a driver of the Gulf crisis. Gas may also prove to be a gauge for the timeframe that Saudi Arabia, supported by the UAE, has in mind, and one reason why they have so far refused to contemplate unconditional negotiations and compromise.

The significance of gas was highlighted when The Wall Street Journal recently disclosed that US officials had prevented Saudi Arabia prior to the declaration of the boycott from invading the Gulf States and seizing Qatar’s operations in the world’s largest gas field.

Taking control of Qatari fields would have not only forced Qatar, the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, to effectively surrender, but also turned Saudi Arabia into the world’s second-biggest exporter overnight.

If gas proves to be a major driver of the rift, the recently announced Saudi plans to become a major gas player suggest that the dispute could take at least another six years, if not a decade, to resolve.

Amin Nasser, the chief executive of Saudi national oil company Aramco, said during the World Economic Forum in January that he expects $150 billion to be invested in the Saudi gas sector over the next ten years. Nasser envisions gas production increasing from 14 billion standard cubic feet to 23 billion by 2030.

Saudi energy minister Khalid al-Falih said in April, following the disclosure of recently discovered major reserves in the Red Sea, that the kingdom may achieve its goal in five to six years.

In the meantime, Saudi Arabia is pushing to become a major gas trader and marketer, primarily in the spot and short term markets, by partnering with producers across the globe, including in the Russian Artic.

The kingdom has expressed an interest in acquiring a 30% stake in Russia’s Novatek Arctic LNG project. Access to the project’s gas would allow Saudi Arabia to negotiate long term deals and/or sell cargo on the spot market or increase domestic supply.

Aramco agreed in May to a buy a 25% stake in Sempra Energy’s Texas liquefied natural gas terminal in one of the biggest gas deals ever. The deal involves a 20-year agreement under which Saudi Arabia would buy 5 million tons of gas annually from Sempra’s Port Arthur plant, due to begin operations in 2023.

Qatar has partnered with Exxon Mobil Corp. in a $10 billion LNG plant in Texas and has plans to pour a total of $20 billion into US oil and gas fields.

The Saudi Qatari gas rivalry is also playing out elsewhere.

An Aramco delegation visited Pakistan in April to discuss gas sales as a way of addressing the South Asian country’s energy shortage as it opens its multiple gas fields to foreign investors. Qatar responded by lowering the price of its offering in a move that appeared to give it an advantage despite the kingdom’s increasingly hefty investment in Pakistan.

The prospect that Saudi Arabia and the UAE may only be willing to seek an end to the Gulf crisis once the kingdom has secured its position as a major gas exporter would mean that their boycott of Qatar would still be in place when the Gulf state hosts the World Cup in 2022.

That, more than FIFA president Gianni Infantino’s unsuccessful ploy to persuade Qatar to agree to an expansion of the 2022 tournament from 32 to 48 teams, could prove to be a potential icebreaker.

The tournament puts Qatar’s detractors in a bind. It will be the first time the world’s foremost mega sporting event is held in the Arab world, a soccer-crazy region – and the event will take place in the boycotting Gulf states’ backyard.

The boycott bans nationals of the boycotting states from travel to Qatar. Even if fans were to defy the boycott, they would have to go to greater expense and accept more complicated logistics because of the rupture in air and land links.

As a result, the boycotting states, in a bid to cater to domestic demand and stave off potential protests, could be forced to breach their own embargo and potentially create an opportunity to put an end to the boycott.

That may seem a long shot at this point, and much can change in the coming three years. But if the status quo remains unchanged, soccer could emerge as the Gulf’s best hope.

This visit by Britain’s Home Secretary follows 19 years in which no senior minister of the British government has visited Jerusalem or the Western Wall.
The Home Secretary was greeted by the Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mr. Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, who told Home Secretary Javid about the history of the site and its importance as a focus of Jewish yearning throughout the generations.

The Home Secretary, who comes from a Muslim family, told that his father believed deeply in the connection between Jews and Muslims, and that his brother visited the Western Wall as a child, and that his father and entire family were very excited about the pictures from here.

The Home Secretary added that one could sense the spiritual power of the site and that he is amazed that the Western Wall is open 24/7 throughout the entire year. He also voiced interest in the pictures of mass events and in the millions of visitors who come to the Western Wall on Jewish holidays.

The Rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, greeted the Minister and recited with him Chapter 121 of Psalms as the Home Secretary placed a note between the stones of the Western Wall.

Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported Monday that the country’s stockpile of 3.67 percent enriched uranium has now passed the 300-kilogram limit set by the 2015 nuclear deal.

Citing what it said was an “informed source,” Fars reported that the stockpile was measured and found to have exceeded the agreed limit laid out in the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

On June 17, a spokesperson for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said Iran would breach the limit within 10 days.

Speaking at the Arak heavy water production facility, Behrouz Kamalvandi acknowledged that the country had already quadrupled its production of low-enriched uranium and said Tehran would increase uranium enrichment levels “based on the country’s needs.”

That increase, he said, could be to any level, from 3.67%, which is the current limit set by the nuclear deal.

Iran needs 5% enrichment for its nuclear power plant in the southern port of Bushehr and 20% enrichment for a Tehran research reactor, the spokesman said.

When uranium is mined, it typically has about 140 atoms of the unwanted U-238 isotope for every atom of U-235. Refining it to a purity of 3.67%, the level now allowed by the nuclear deal, means removing 114 unwanted atoms of U-238 for every atom of U-235.

Boosting its purity to 20% would mean removing 22 more unwanted isotopes per atom of U-235, while going from there to 90% purity means removing just four more per atom of U-235, Kamalvandi noted at the time. Ninety percent is considered weapons-grade material.

That means going from 20% to 90% is a relatively quick process, something that worries nuclear nonproliferation experts.

The move was part of Iran’s recent 60-day ultimatum to the European Union for renegotiating the pact after the US withdrawal.

The Trump administration pulled America out of the deal in May 2018, saying it did not sufficiently rein in Iran’s nuclear program and did nothing to stop it from developing missiles or destabilizing the Middle East. The Europeans insist that the pact is an important pillar of regional and global security and was never meant to address those other issues.

In May Iran formally dropped the limitations on uranium enrichment and the production of heavy water that were laid down in the deal, citing its ultimatum to the EU, which it accuses of failing to protect Iran against the renewed US sanctions.

Under the terms of the nuclear deal, Iran can keep a stockpile of no more than 300 kilograms (660 pounds) of low-enriched uranium. That’s compared to the 10,000 kilograms (22,046 pounds) of higher-enriched uranium it once had. It is also capped at storing 300 tons of heavy water, which it sells to Oman for use as a coolant in nuclear reactors.

Israel conducted extensive strikes against targets in Syria overnight on Sunday, the country’s media reports.

Israel hit at least 10 targets around the Syrian cities of Damascus and Homs overnight Sunday, Sana, the Syrian state news agency reported on Monday morning. It claimed that “four civilians, including a baby” were killed and 21 others injured in the town of Sahnaya near Damascus.

According to The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an independent London-based monitoring group, Israel warplanes struck the  headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the Al-Kiswah area south of Syria’s capital of Damascus.

It also hit a scientific research center west of Homs, the group reports.

The civilian dead were the result of an attack on the orchards between Jadidat Artouz and Sahnaya in Rif Dimashq, it said, “which caused material damage to property of the citizens and the injury of a number of citizens due to the fall of missiles’ remnants on the area.”

The airstrikes also knocked out military targets affiliated with Lebanese Hezbollah “in the barren mountains of Qara and Felita,” causing fires, the result of explosions from ammunition warehouses.

The monitoring group observed ambulances heading to the area and said it expects there are Lebanese Hezbollah wounded.

Sana reports that Israeli missiles were intercepted.

In Cyprus, the foreign minister said a Russian-made missile launched from Syria landed in its territory.

Israel did not comment on the report. However, it has made plain that it will not tolerate Iran’s presence in Syria and has conducted numerous attacks over the years to prevent Iran from entrenching on Syrian soil and transferring weapons to its proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Last week, Israel held a trilateral meeting with the U.S. and Russia in Jerusalem. However, while the U.S. and Israel expressed their desire to see Syria rid of its Iranian presence, Russia defended Iran. On June 25, Russia’s National Security Adviser Nikolai Patrushev said Iran was “contributing a lot to fighting terrorists on Syrian soil and stabilizing the situation there.”

He described Israeli airstrikes in Syria as “undesirable.”

The Historic Security Summit
The United States’ John Bolton, Russia’s Nikolai Patrushev, and Israel’s Meir Ben-Shabbat joined together in Israel’s holy capital, Jerusalem, to discuss the security of the Middle East and regional issues. And this was most definitely a historic security summit! Everyone is aware of the instability in the Middle East. Syria’s civil war, Iran’s desire to build a nuclear weapon and gain more power in the region, and more. Israel wants Iran out of Syria. And of course, Russia has made itself known in the area.

A historic meeting held Tuesday in Jerusalem with leaders from Israel, the United States and Russia focused on bilateral relations and security in the region, with a special emphasis on preventing potentially dangerous situations stemming from Iran and Syria.

The discussions are a continuation of Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent meetings with National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat, US National Security Adviser John Bolton and the Secretary of the Russian National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

Netanyahu opened the meeting by declaring that this was a historic moment, being that it was the first joint meeting between the three countries concerning national security held in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem.

Reiterating that Israel has reached new heights in its relationship with the U.S. under President Donald Trump’s leadership and acknowledging Israel’s growing friendship with Russia over recent years, Netanyahu said, “I want to thank President Trump and President Putin for agreeing to hold this security summit and for sending their most senior advisers. I deeply value the strong relationships that Israel has with both leaders and both countries.”

“I believe that there is a wider basis for cooperation between the three of us than many believe. This summit represents a real opportunity to help advance stability in our region, and particularly in Syria,” the prime minister stated.

Ben-Shabbat also expressed optimism at the start of the meeting, saying, “The attainment of security and stability in our region is our common goal. Other nations and peoples in and beyond the region also aspire to it.”

“[T]hat it is being held in Jerusalem attests to Israel’s standing, to the superpowers’ confidence in it and to the weight it is being given on issues on the regional and global agendas,” he said.

He explained that the summit was preceded by in-depth and lengthy discussions between Netanyahu, Russian President Nikolai Putin and President Trump, highlighting the sense that the time is now ripe for this diplomatic move.

Netanyahu thanked the United States and specifically President Donald Trump for unequivocally backing Israel’s right to defend itself, pronouncing that all three participating countries have the common goal of attaining a peaceful and secure Syria as well as more stability, security and prosperity in the Middle East.

“Israel has acted hundreds of times to prevent Iran from entrenching itself militarily in Syria, while it actively and openly calls and works for our destruction,” Netanyahu stated, “We have acted hundreds of times to prevent Iran from delivering increasingly sophisticated weaponry to Hezbollah, or to form a second front in the north against us from the Golan Heights. Israel will continue to prevent Iran from using neighboring territory as platforms to attack us, and Israel will respond forcefully to any such attacks.”

A spokesman for Iran’s atomic agency said Monday that the country will break the uranium stockpile limit set by the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers in the next 10 days.

Behrouz Kamalvandi made the comment in a news conference carried live on Iranian state television.

“Today the countdown to pass the 300 kilograms reserve of enriched uranium has started and in 10 days time we will pass this limit,” he said, putting the date for the breach of a key provision of the agreement at June 27.

He spoke to local journalists at Iran’s Arak heavy water facility.

His comments come in the wake of suspected attacks on oil tankers last week in the region that the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia and others have blamed on Iran while Tehran has hinted the US is responsible. That incident came after four other oil tankers off Fujairah suffered similar attacks in recent weeks, and Iranian-allied rebels from Yemen have struck US ally Saudi Arabia with drones and missiles.

But the truth is, mass Islamic immigration has brought in a culture of hate to Germany and throughout all of Europe. These migrants have entered the Western World spreading antisemitic thoughts and actions. How could European leaders let a culture in freely that is completely against Western values? How can Angela Merkel let people into Germany and put her country at risk?

Appeasing the Enemy
We cannot appease the enemy. It never works. Appeasing the enemy gives them more support to continue their terrorism and hatred. Avi Yemini is begging Jewish community leaders to stand strong and not be scared. He wants them to encourage Jews to be Jews and show their pride. Even though Yemini himself does not always wear a kippah, or yarmulke, he is committed to wearing it more. He does not believe a Jew should wear his head covering less – that just gives in to the enemy. It lets them win. And we do NOT want to let radical Islam win. Where will that lead us?

Nehama Rivlin, wife of President Reuven Rivlin, and first lady of Israel, died today at the age of 73, a day before her birthday. She suffered from lung disease in recent years. She passed away at Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva, near Tel Aviv.

President Rivlin thanked the hospital for its “dedicated, sensitive and professional treatment,”

“Unfortunately, all the doctors’ efforts to stabilize her during the complex rehabilitation process that followed her transplant failed,” hospital officials said.

“The medical teams of the chest, lung, cardiology and intensive care units did not leave Mrs. Rivlin’s bed the whole time… This is a sad day for all of us at the medical center. The hospital staff is mourning,” the staff said.

Mrs. Rivlin underwent a lung transplant in March, which was only partially successful in that cardiac complications left her with a shortness of breath.

Mrs. Rivlin was born in 1945 in Moshav Herut. Her father died when she was five and her mother was left to work the farm. “I remember her working hard and fighting like a lioness for the right to work the land, despite the objective difficulties entailed in choosing such a demanding way of life. She never sank into debt – no small feat in a cooperative farming settlement,” Rivlin wrote in Haaretz in 2016.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and zoology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem before meeting her husband, Reuven Rivlin, who later became president.

Until 10-15 years ago, there was no concept of Islamophobia. But, then on 9-11, a lot of things changed. A mere 10 years after the Cold War ceased and the West became the sole dominant power in the world, the world woke up to the reality that it is not just nuclear threats that threaten our way of life.

There is a new – yet very old – threat. It is called Radical Islam. Some even go out on a limb and argue that it is not just the radical branches of Islam, but mainstream Islam that also poses the threat. That is probably an exaggerated or untrue claim. The real question is how many people would be classified as radicalized. The numbers are scary.

Phobia
If a phobia is the fear of something, and Islamophobia means the fear of Islam, then it is a perfectly valid term that signifies the legitimate or exaggerated fear of Islam. Why does Islam , as opposed to other religions, bring along with it such fear? In truth, this is a very simple question with a very simple answer. There exist other religions where some of the radical elements in the religion have violent tendencies. In Japan during World War II, there were entire groups of kamikaze pilots willing to die for their country. We all know what the Germans were like in World War II. So, why is there no such thing as Japanesephobia or Naziphobia.

It may be that the practice of killing in Islamic countries is more ruthless. It may even be that there is a fear based on the massive numbers of Islamic militants in countries like Iran or Iraq. But I think that there is a more elementary fear that is based on the hunch that masses of people have about the followers of Islam. It is a hunch that there is simply nobody to reason with when it comes to the masses of followers of Islam. This may be somewhat exaggerated about some of the people. However, among many of the more radical elements, this is definitely the case. Once you have unreasonable people with a large amount of weapons or power, it is a scary thing indeed.

Perhaps Islamophobia is not an oxymoron at all.

Israel attacked a number of Syrian targets overnight on Sunday.

Israel hit a number of military targets in Syria overnight on Sunday in retaliation for two rockets fired at Israel’s Mt. Hermon on Saturday.

“Fighter planes and helicopters of the IDF attacked a number of military targets belonging to the Syrian army, among them two artillery batteries, a number of observation and intelligence posts on the Golan Heights front and an air-defense system of the SA-2 type,” the IDF reported.

Ten people were killed in the Israeli airstrikes, three Syrian soldiers and seven Hezbollah and Iranian forces, reports the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, an independent watchdog group based in London.

Syrian state media reports only three killed and seven wounded.

The Israel Defense Forces says it has no information about casualties on the other side. It released a video on Twitter showing one of its missiles striking a target.

The area of the attack was to the south and southwest of Damascus.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the attack in a statement on Sunday.

“Yesterday I held security consultations in wake of the firing at the Golan Heights in which I instructed the IDF to take strong action,” the prime minister said.
“We are not prepared to tolerate firing at our territory and will respond with great force to any aggression against us. This has been my consistent policy and this is what we will continue to do for the security of Israel,” he said.
