Becoming a Disciple

John 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear:
wherefore would ye hear [it] again? will ye also be his disciples?

We find many programs made by Churches, Preachers, Apostles, etc. on ‘how
to become a disciple’, ‘making disciples’, ‘discipleship’.

When Jesus gave us the mission as Christians He did not say just go and
preach the Gospel but said after preaching the Gospel make them disciples
that too in the Name of the Father, Son and Spirit. Yesterday we saw ‘name’
did not mean the phonics but the nature, and the nature of the Father, Son
and Holy Spirit are the same for they are same.

The adjective ‘disciple’ (Greek ‘mathetes’) comes from the adverb ‘to
learn’ (Greek ‘manthano’). You will say brother in English ‘to learn’ is a
verb and not an adverb. Manthano is not simply learning but prolonged
learning, more of following as one learns.

Anyone says they are holding a 2 days or 3 days program on discipleship,
that person does not know what discipleship means.

In the Bible the Church is also symbolized as a pearl and we know how a
pearl is formed.

God is not into ‘instant noodle’ business. Many times people approach me
saying brother your messages are good but they are long, please try to
reduce them. I tell them I am not into ‘fast food’. If one likes spiritual
instant noodles or fast food it is better they read the Quran instead of
the Bible for it is just 4/5 of the NT, also there is no concept of
discipleship in Islam since as a Muslim one becomes a ‘slave to Allah’.

Let us understand the seriousness of following Christ and becoming a
Christian (disciple of Christ). Also need to remember as Christians we need
to evolve that means grow, if we are not growing then we have stopped being
Christians.

snapping of your fingers yet You set forth ages and ages for the process of
the transformation of man and he overcoming darkness through your light

Paul’s Mission

Acts 9: 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen
vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the
children of Israel:

Understanding one’s Calling and Mission is very important for it directs a
person to do that which the Lord desires in our lives.

In the Tabernacle there were gold vessels as well as silver vessels and
Bible says both were equally precious to the Lord. Peter in his letter goes
on to say that the one who is focused on his or her Calling and Mission
will not fail in the spiritual race.

The day the Lord triggered me to His Kingdom’s work He did show me in
vision my mission and today I see that come true. Initially it was just
unbelievable or impossible to even contemplate it but today I have seen
many doors opening towards it.

Paul was very focused on to the mission that the Lord assigned him and that
was to bear His Name before the Gentiles, Kings and the Children of Israel.
It did not say to call out the Lord’s name or the phonics word ‘Jesus’ /
‘Iesous’ / ‘Yeshua’ / ‘Joshua’ by which we refer to the Lord Jesus Christ.
It says to ‘bear His Name before’ meaning to bear the Nature of the Lord
Jesus Christ which is also the Name of the Father. Secondly it specifies
the audience as Gentile (lost sheep), Kings (rulers) and Children of Israel
(those who are spiritually little). It is for this reason Paul’s letters do
not go deep into revelation of things that are not basic. People who say
Paul’s letters are very deep and strong have not really read them fully and
have not relationship with the Holy Spirit who is the revealer of
scriptures.

A couple of weeks back at a preaching when I revealed to the people the
term Yahweh (YHWH) was referring to the Lord Jesus Christ, they realized
they could not set aside the OT saying it is not valid or outdated for the
star character in both OT and NT is the same. This was at a congregation
that used the words ‘New Covenant’ in their name.

Let us understand the Word of God deeper so as to know our Calling and
Mission in the Lord so that we run the race more firmly and swiftly.

Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Omnipotent and Omnipresent. You
Lord know the everything, the beginning and the end of all things, yet You
intervene only when You are asked to or to protect your people. Lord we
pray we do not seek testimonies of failure to victory but testimonies of
victory to victory like when the Israelites in the OT kept your
Commandments not one of the soldiers were killed in battle...

Do we have a say on our lives?

John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment
have I received of my Father.

Lord Jesus as man said He had power over His life, to lay it down and power
to take it again. We know the Bible says He is our cornerstone meaning an
example for us. We are called Israel (Prince of God) and He is called Chief
of Princes.

If we look at today’s scripture we will find we too have power over our
lives. Today’s scripture is not talking of natural death which only God
knows (and if He discloses) but is talking of spiritual death.

Before I thought God kills our spirit after Judgment Day, also most fear
Satan can kill our spirits. When I studied scriptures I was amazed to find
spiritual death is unlike natural death. Human spirit life has a period
which is in thousands of years and only in Heaven do we have the ability to
renew this spirit life via the Tree / River of Life. Spiritual death even
in Hell or Lake of Fire/Sulphur is not stoppage of the spirit life but
decay of spirit life.

Death of the spirit is unimaginable pain and torture especially in the Lake
of Fire where those who believe or know God (The Son) but yet reject His
Will/Word.

One may state we do have power over the destiny of our spirits, as to
whether we want to choose life or death (choose Christ or reject Him), but
do we have power over our resurrection?

We need to understand the power that resurrected Jesus did not worked after
He died but while He was alive. Jesus went to Hell for He was forsaken by
the Father since our sins were on Him but He could not be kept in Hell
because there was no sin in Him and that happened by the working of the
Holy Spirit while He was alive.

If we want to experience the resurrection power we need to let the Holy
Spirit work in us while we are alive. Let us not be fooled to think after
we die someone can pray for us and get us to experience the Lord’s
resurrection.

Today’s scripture indeed tells us we who know Christ, do have power over
our death and our resurrection. We have the choice to direct our lives
while we are alive not after we die.

In Revelation Jesus Christ said Satan will try to kill us but if we are
faithful Christ will reward us with the crown of life. God does judge us
and has the power over our life and death and we need to fear Him but we
need to realize it is we ourselves that decide while we are alive where we
will stand on Judgment Day, to the right or to the left. Let us fear that
more.

Lord You are Almighty God. You are Life and only being to have life within
oneself, this ability You have given only to your Son who came from within
You. Jesus as man was like us and He showed us the Way to You. Only in You
and in your presence is eternal life. We pray we do not reject You and
chose death nor be foolish to enjoy this world and refrain the Holy Spirit
our resurrection power from working in us...

Opening the sight of Paul Saul

Acts 9: 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and
putting [his] hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

Saul was a very learned man doing something like a doctorate in scripture
under the greatest Jewish expert in that field at that time. When God
needed to transform him, we see God needed to blind Saul for almost 3 days
and then get him to see by the hands of a commoner named Ananias.

Saul’s real name as Paul Saul. He preferred using the Jewish part Saul
[meaning desire] of his name which was given by his Jewish mother all
because he thought only Jews were God’s people and only they would be
saved, it was when he realized God was not just the God of Israelite people
but of the whole world and anyone who turns to Him is saved. It was then he
started using the Roman part of his name Paul [meaning small] which was
given by his Roman father.

The internal transformation of Paul Saul was symbolized by the Lord healing
his sight. God caused Paul to have cataracts which fell like fish scales
when Ananias laid hands on him.

We normally equate the organ heart with love or our inner-man but as I
mentioned before the Bible equates the kidney to love and not the heart,
also when we need to deeply study the inner-man it is the eye that helps us
understand the inner-man and not the heart.

The human eye is the most complex organ in the human body and a marvel of
God’s work. People who promote evolution are dumbstruck when it comes to
explaining how the complex human eye was formed randomly by evolution of
unicellular organisms.

Today the Lord is telling us He has marvelously created us and that every
part of us has an understanding. He works in us in ways that are beyond our
natural understanding, it is only when we use spiritual understanding and
wisdom we know of His working in us and thus there is joy in us even in our
current situations.

Lord You are Almighty and Wonderful God. Your ways and unlike the ways of
man. You do things that are hidden from natural man. It is only when we use
our true spiritual eyes we see your ways are perfect and marvelous. Lord we
pray we understand the areas of working in us and stop being hindrance to

Son of David while in the flesh

Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the
seed of David according to the flesh;

Jesus was called Son of David. What is to give a thought is can we still
call Jesus Christ today as Son of David?

We have a scripture in Luke where Jesus questions people who referred to
Him as ‘Son of David’.

People do not realize Mary the mother of Jesus was not referred to as
mother of Jesus after His death and before His resurrection, she is
referred to as ‘mother of James’ who was also her own son.

This interesting relationship is not only in the case of Jesus who was Lord
who humbled Himself and became man but also for those who are in Christ.
Natural relationships are existent till a person in alive in the flesh, the
moment their spirit leaves the flesh the person is neither male nor female
so how can the person be anyone’s father, mother, husband, wife, son
daughter...

Many a times I ask the congregation who will stay with them in the
‘bungalows’ which they will inherit in Heaven. They immediately jump to
state their immediate family members. When I ask about the others, then
they realize it has nothing to do with our earthly family members.

True our natural / earthly relationships are temporary but that also does
not mean we can ignore them. God has placed us for a purpose so we need to
take responsibility of that which the Lord has given thus no man or woman
can marry another till she or he is alive, even if they are separated with
cause.

It is only the truth that can set us free. We need to come out of our flesh
and bones to inherit His Kingdom and let us not wait till we die for that
for it may be too late.

Lord You are Almighty God. You God are Spirit, your Kingdom is not of this
world – a natural world but is a Spirit Kingdom and flesh and bones cannot
inherit it. Lord we pray let not only in death we be separated from our
flesh and bones for it may be too late, but while we are alive may we
overcome our earthly nature and put on our heavenly nature as Sons of God....

Steps to Discipleship

John 21:16 He saith to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of John,
lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love
thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep.

Many a time I have pointed out to really study the Word of God one cannot
rely on any one translation. There are some which are more accurate but
then in all of them they miss out somewhere or the other, thus one needs to
get into Word Study (getting into the Greek and Hebrew / Aramaic words).

Let us take the case of today’s scripture. We as Pastors or spiritual
guides are called to minister to people in the Lord and ultimately hand
them over to the Holy Spirit like Jesus did to His disciples (which people
rarely do, they behave like they are greater than Jesus Christ). Now the
steps from giving the Gospel and the person accepting it, starts the work
of handing them over to the Holy Spirit and the steps towards that, was
what Jesus gave us while asking Peter if he loved Him.

In John 21:15-17 every time Jesus asked Peter if He loved Him, He gave
instructions to His disciples via Peter as to how they should express their
love and that is by disciplining people in the Lord. The last 3 word of
every scripture tells us the steps towards disciplining. In many
translations it is written as ‘feed my sheep’ but in some translations like
ASV / NASB they are more accurately translated as ‘feed my lambs’, ‘tend my
sheep’ and ‘feed my sheep’. If we understand these 3 instructions we will
understand how to disciple people in Christ.

Hitting people on their heads with the Bible is a big mistake that people
make and worse is telling them not to study scriptures deeply for it is not
for them, ‘Bible is simple and God loves simple people’. If you come across
any such a person ministering to you then flee for your life else you will
pay with it.

Bible is the most complex book in the world and from years and years man
has been trying to study and understand it. Those who wrote it were led by
the Holy Spirit but they themselves had no clear understanding of that
which they wrote. Bible says it was only with coming of Jesus that grace
and truth was given. It is only through the Holy Spirit that we are able to
understand scriptures. Even the greatest human teacher Jesus (as man) could
not get the understanding to His disciples thus had to do it only via His
Spirit.

Feed the lambs is the first step where we share the basics of the Word of
God, like a mother feeds an infant, here we do not touch on any solid meat.
This is one area that the Church has been doing very well for it follows
the letters of Paul which were simply spiritual milk. Paul refrained from
sharing solid meat since he knew the people he ministered lacked spiritual
teeth (discernment). Those who were mature like the people of Berea, he
never needed to write letters of instructions.

The last step is feed the sheep where solid meat is shared. But between
feeding the lamb and feeding the sheep is ‘tend the sheep’. It is only when
people serve others that they grow spiritually and learn to discern.
Discernment is not something that can be given in a classroom but is
experienced on the field. Since most Churches do not get each and every
member into serving others therefore our Churches are filled with spiritual
infants (most still connected to the Pastor via umbilical cords). Sadly
most of the Pastors themselves are not spiritually matured even though they
run large Churches.

If we really love Jesus Christ let us show this by disciplining those whom
we are ministering as Jesus instructed us. Let us push them out of Church
halls and classrooms, let us get them to grow spiritual teeth and then let
us then give them spiritual strong meat.

Lord You are Almighty Father. You are both father and mother for You are
God and from You we get complete love. You Lord truly love us and thus do
not please us but build us in your ways. Lord we pray we understand as your
children we are called to imitate You whom we see in the man Jesus Christ.
We pray we show our true love by following the instructions and not being
obstacles in other’s spiritual lives...

Being led by the Holy Spirit

Acts 10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from
Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what [is] the cause
wherefore ye are come?

Last Sunday I was preaching at a service and the Pastor had given me 30mins
to share my message which was on the importance of being taught/led
by/working of the Holy Spirit in us. When the 30mins was almost over the
Lord led me to share on some factors and then I continued with the
permission of the Pastor. By the time I finished it was almost one and half
hour! But within this time we saw many people receive baptism in the Holy
Spirit. The Pastor was planning this about 3 weeks later and it happened
all of a sudden.

Transformation of a Believer into a Christian is only by the Holy Spirit’s
working in us. True it is by the grace of God that we come to believe in
Christ but it is only by the working of God in us that causes us to follow
Christ.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is part of our baptism in Christ (‘Water
Baptism’). Like I mentioned before the term ‘Baptizo’ (baptism) was a term
used in dyeing of clothes and thus is not simply about being immersed but
more about getting transformed, putting on the nature of what we are
immersed in. So we may be immersed physically in water but more so we need
to be immersed in Christ and put on the Nature of Christ. This is not a
onetime incident but a long process.

We see in today’s message Peter was led by the Holy Spirit and we may think
all was well with Peter, but we know by the book of Acts Peter many at
times was led by his own nature and did many mistakes, which at times
required Paul to rebuke him in public.

By our personal encounters with the Holy Spirit let us not be deceived to
think all will be well henceforth. Let us not be off guard for as the
Spirit of God works in us, so also our carnal/worldly corrupt nature also
tries to work on us. This battle between the two is an ongoing process and
the day we totally kill / suffocate / starve to death our carnal nature we
do not get counted as overcomers.

Passive and Active hearing

John 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear:
wherefore would ye hear [it] again? will ye also be his disciples?

We must have come across people who have detective sense, they observe
every minute detail of what is shown to them, what is told to them and what
is happening around them. Are these people having some special senses? No.
They are trained or train themselves to focus and actively observe, hear,
smell or use their 5 human senses.

We find people who think by hearing preachings or teachings on the Word of
God their faith will increase, are in for a disappointment. Romans 10:17 is
wrongly translated as ‘faith comes by hearing and hearing’. One needs to
get into the Greek grammar to truly understand the scripture.

I mentioned this before. The first verb ‘hearing’ is in passive tense and
the second verb ‘hearing’ is in active tense. If we were to accurately
translate in English the second word would be translated as ‘listening’
instead of hearing.

The reason we do not know about the Kingdom of God more and more is because
we truly do not desire from our hearts. Many a times our words do not match
the depth of our heart’s desires.

We need to become crazy and passionate for the Kingdom of God to truly
understand it and gain it. Jesus said this in a parable of a man who sells
all to gain a piece of land, just to get the treasure he knows is hidden in
that land.

To get all of God, we need to give all of ourselves. To be disciples too
(Christians) we need to empty all of ourselves to put on the Nature of
Christ (Discipleship is about putting on His Nature). We are fools to think
we can be ourselves inside and have a nature of Christ on the top. It is
either Him in us, or us in us.

Mark 3: 7,8 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and

and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did,
came unto him.

Grace preaching which is very common today is one of the greatest cause of
destruction of souls. It is not that grace is not true. Without grace it is
impossible to know God and to be in Him, but not understanding how we
receive grace and what that grace is for can cause us to be destroyed.

Bible clearly says grace is received by faith, so if there is faith there
is grace, and if there is no faith there is no grace. That means to remain
in grace we need to keep the faith and to grow in grace we need to grow in
faith.

Being Christian does not matter how we started or what all we did as
Christians, what most matters is at the end are we still Christians.
Running the race is important but if we do not finish the race, can we
claim to qualify?

In today’s scripture many followed Christ but we see in the end only a few
stood with Him. Let us not be like those who followed Him for their own
benefits but deserted Him when time were hard.

At Times Silence Speaks a lot

Mark 15:4,5 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing?
behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered
nothing; so that Pilate marveled [wondered].

We all know of the phrase ‘silence is golden’. This phrase does not mean
not to answer but to be patience and answer at the right time.

In today’s scripture even after suffering so much and facing death at hand
yet Jesus spoke nothing in His defense but maintained silence. The question
is did Jesus not answer? Yes He did, long before He was even arrested He
was aware of these events and spoke of it, also later after His
resurrection He spoke of His need to be our sacrifice and leave us so that
we receive His Spirit.

We all may have many questions about spiritual live or our natural life,
God has the answer for each and every one, but we see He does not answer as
and when we ask. It will always be that God had already answered us but we
did not realize or will answer us once He sets our basic understanding to
receive it.

Having a Calling of a Teacher, in my initial days in the Lord wherever I
asked a question, the Lord would explain it through visions/dreams like He
did to Daniel or John (of Revelation), but later as I grew in wisdom and
understanding I found I would not get visions every time I asked, not that
I was far from God but realized either I had already known the answer or
God had to build my basics for me to understand the answer.

Our God is living God and He desires we know the Truth but He does not
download everything in our heads like in a pen drive. Truth needs to be
understood and only when understood it sets us free. So the Lord prepares
us to face / understand the truth and as we understand He reveals more of
the truth. The day we (just two amongst us) know the whole truth the whole
of mankind (those who are His) will be saved and we will see the Lord Jesus
Christ come to receive us to His Father’s House.

You. You know all and see all. Even though we are nothing yet You chose us

Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall
the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?

Before I came in the Lord I was into palmistry, astrology and many
superstitious beliefs even though I would state I was a scientifically
tempered person.

When I say I was into palmistry or astrology it did not mean I simply
followed or believed in them, but I studied them quite deeply. I used to
read books by people known in the respective fields and would even read
hands accurately almost 80-90% (not just future but even their past) and
tell their character or nature based on their birth date. These so called
studies initially seem scientific / logical claiming years and years of
research behind them. It was only because I went deeper that I realized the
powers behind these had nothing to do with their ‘science’ but was
something else i.e. I started hand reading and later did not need to see
the hand yet was quiet accurate, people said I was ‘face reading’, but had
no knowledge of ‘face reading’.

God created all things according to design, and nothing done is random,
without reason or purpose. When we do ‘Bible image study’ (4th level of
Bible Study) like recorded in Daniel, Songs of Solomon or Revelation we
find God’s design in everything. This study is so complex that as we get
into the micro mode, it gets more and more complex. It is easy to study why
man or woman is created in the form they are, like having one head,
shoulders, two hands, two feet, torso, hip etc... It is even somewhat easy
to study the various organs and their placement in our body. Matters get
more complex as we get into the DNA, various cell structures and the
functioning between them. Then comes the most complex as to why there is so
many variations between us even though biologically we are so alike;
variations like height, skin color, voice, built etc...

Today’s message is misunderstood as to in what authority can man question
God as to why He created things differently. In fact in the Bible God
always instructs us to question Him and He will surely answer, what is
important is the purpose of questioning. If we question with a desire to
learn then God surely reveals through His Spirit, but if we question with
another agenda then we will surely be rebuked for it.

Lord, You alone are God and You created all things. In your wisdom You Lord
created each and every thing according to purpose and design. The things
that are visible are created according to those invisible and things
invisible according to your Heavenly purpose. Lord we pray You open the

Back to square one

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him,
We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately;
and that night they caught nothing.

During the era of Jesus as man there were many who claimed to be godmen,
supernatural leaders, offered something special spiritually to people (like
salvation). Some amongst them became very famous like John the Baptist and
Theudas (who is mentioned in Acts), they had many, many followers. So Jesus
as a Messiah initially was not a great fear for the Roman Empire for they
knew of many doing the same, but one thing common amongst all of them was
after the person died their followers all returned to their usual lifestyle
like we see written in today’s scripture. For the Romans ignoring them was
the best solution.

Jesus as Messiah did become a concern to the Romans because of His fame for
doing great miracles but that did not stop them from allowing their own
army officers to follow Him. Jesus truly became a threat to the Roman
Empire only after His resurrection, after His Disciples were baptized in
the Holy Spirit and they too started doing things which Jesus as man did.

Let us understand that God is truly given glory when Christ shines through
us. If God wanted He would have done miracles without us but He desires us
to be vessels through which He can perform miracles so that the Name of
Jesus Christ is lifted up and the world can see Him.

Foolish Generation

Luke 7: 31,32 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of
this generation? and to what are they like? They are like unto children
sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have
piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have
not wept.

When we look at the English translation of the scripture we do not get the
full depth of today’s scripture.

The word translated as ‘children’ is the Greek word ‘paidion’ which is a
term used for servant children. They were not simply child labor but they
were children with medical defect (like special abilities, spastic) and
discarded by families (considered another breed/gender), they were used for
simple odd jobs like sitting at the door entrances to wash people’s
hands/feet. The root of the word means ‘to strike’ or ‘to smite’ thus were
looked as struck / cursed by God.

Today’s scripture talks of these children sitting in a market place to be
sold to any prospective buyer and in this hopeless atmosphere they comfort
each other by entertaining each other and comforting each other foolishly.
The depth of this foolishness is seen by the words used. The word
translated as ‘mourned’ speaks of the theatrical performance put by paid
mourners at funerals so as to encourage the family to mourn for the
deceased (also used during Lazarus’s funeral service which lasted 4 days).

Ironically in Matthew 18:3 where Jesus spoke of unless we become like
little children we cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven, He used the
term ‘paidion’. That meant unless we do not become hopeless we will not
receive hope, but let us not do foolishness by looking unto each other for
comfort but only look unto God.

Which Doctrines do we teach?

John 7:16 Jesus therefore answered them and said, My doctrine {teaching}
is not mine, but his that sent me.

The word ‘doctrine’ has become a curse word and equated with the word
‘heretic’. People who use these terms as curse words themselves lack
knowledge and understanding of scriptures.

The Greek word ‘didache’ translated as doctrine comes from the word
‘didasko’ which means ‘to teach’. So doctrine simply means teaching. The
term ‘heretic’ Greek word ‘hairetikos’ used in Titus 3:10 has the root
meaning ‘one who teaches doctrine that is different/according to one’s
personal choice and not according to the masses/majority’.

If we look at today’s scripture we see the Jewish religious leaders were
questioning Jesus as if He was a heretic for His teaching was not according
to their teaching. Jesus was not completely offline to their teachings but
was beyond their teachings and thus they were amazed at his knowledge.
Jesus had qualified to preach (as a Rabbi) at Synagogues by His 40days
fasting in the desert [School of Moses] and did not follow the normal
process of being trained under another Rabbi like Paul Saul did [School of
Samuel].

People think they wondered because Jesus was uneducated yet knew a lot.

Firstly Jesus was not uneducated, like say Mohammed was who learned by
attending small group preaching’s during his travel as a nomadic child. All
Jews had to be educated for it was part of their tradition to learn
scriptures especially after the age of eight, therefore in the Gospels we
do not find any communication like unto an uneducated audience.

Today in Churches we see most preach ‘Abundant Grace’ (grace does it all -
denial of the works of the Holy Spirit), ‘Once Saved Always Saved’,
‘Prosperity Gospel’ etc. so if anyone who truly preaches the truth will
surely be called an heretic for his or her teaching is not according to the
masses/majority.

Let us not follow teachings by majority but by what scripture says. If
someone teaches something different let us not pounce on that person and
brand him/her as a heretic but let us investigate and see if that teaching
fulfils scriptures.

Book of Prophecy, so that we may believe

John 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it

Worldly people who are in state of ignorance have the tendency to stay all
religions are the same, all religions say the same things and worship the
same God. These are the people who have never opened any book of another
religion nor cared to understand the religion they follow.

If we understand the terms used by various religions we get better insight
of what they follow.

In Hinduism they use the term Bhagwan which in Sanskrit means man-god thus
does not refer to God but to manmade gods or humans worshipped as gods.

In Islam they use the term allah and people think it refers to God. The
Arabic word for God is illah and allah means ‘the god’ and refers to one of
the 360 deities who Mohammed declared as god after destroying all the
other. This allah has its original name ‘Hubal’ and is said to have 3
daughters whose names are written in the Quran. ‘Satanic verses’ book for

It is all about Restoration

Acts 3:21 whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of
all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of His holy prophets that have
been from of old.

When we understanding the whole Bible and the purpose of creation not just
our creation but even the Heavenly creation that is the Angels and
Cherubim, we see the whole story is about restoration.

Those who understand the story of Heavenly restoration will also understand
the relationship between the Father, Son and Spirit. These are the people
who know when they go to Heaven will not see the man Jesus Christ sitting
on a throne with Angels around. They know who the Lord is, who they are in
the Lord and what to expect in Heaven.

It is true what the Lord said through Isaiah that no eyes have seen, no
ears have heard nor any mind conceived that things that God has prepared
for this creation. When we even partially know of the things of Heaven and
look at what we suffer in this world or for the cause of God’s Kingdom then
we see it is nothing.

Let us be joyful and see it as a privilege to suffer for the Kingdom of God
for our reward is greater in Heaven.

Sealing the dead

John 11:41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead
was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee
that thou hast heard me.

When we were ignorant of the dead we all may recollect closing doors and
locking doors so that ghosts (dead people spirits) do not enter one’s room
or house. Today as we know more of the spirit world we may laugh at all
that we did. But this kind of ignorance is yet found in many religions for
instance in Islam Mohammed believed evil spirits / human spirits could not
enter a room if the door was closed! He also had some real weird notions
like people get cool because an evil spirit resides in the nostrils.

Death and spirit world has always been a mystery to mankind. Like we see in
today’s message people including Jews who had no understanding of
scriptures used to seal tombs with large stones not because people would
rob the body but because they feared the dead would rise and their spirit
escape. It is only in the Bible that we get the proper understanding of
life, death and spirit world.

We many a time use the term ‘Holy ghost’ for the ‘Holy Spirit’ without
realizing ‘ghost’ is a term used for a dead human’s spirit.

After His resurrection even though Jesus was manifested in the flesh and
could be touched yet we see He could pass through walls and appear in
different places in an instant. We see others too (both in OT and NT) did
this feat even without dying.

A few days back I was in discussion with a sister on FB who being a
born-again Christian yet believed all living things are ultimately made of
energy. I do not blame her, for I too loving science (particle physics in
particular) thought the same until I realized our knowledge is very limited..

Voyager spacecraft took a photo of earth from the rings of Saturn and earth
looked like a spec of dot. Imagine 7.9 billion human beings dwelling on a
dot and the dreams they carry dwelling on a dot! Our natural life is like
seeing things from ground level while Spirit world is like seeing things
from space. The day I really understood the term ‘spirit’, changed my
understanding of scriptures and many scriptures became anew to me.

Let us not be ignorant of things especially when we hold a book which
discloses everything about life every clearly to us. Let us duly study and
understand scriptures through the help of the Holy Spirit so that we walk
in light and not in darkness.

Book of Prophecy, so that we may believe

Worldly people who are in state of ignorance have the tendency to stay all
religions are the same, all religions say the same things and worship the
same God. These are the people who have never opened any book of another
religion nor cared to understand the religion they follow.

If we understand the terms used by various religions we get better insight
of what they follow.

In Hinduism they use the term Bhagwan which in Sanskrit means man-god thus
does not refer to God but to manmade gods or humans worshipped as gods.

In Islam they use the term allah and people think it refers to God. The
Arabic word for God is illah and allah means ‘the god’ and refers to one of
the 360 deities who Mohammed declared as god after destroying all the
other. This allah has its original name ‘Hubal’ and is said to have 3

Light overcomes darkness, does not fight it

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to
them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the
world may become guilty before God.

Christians are given the wrong understanding of the Commandments given in
the OT and equate it to the Law of Moses (followed by the Pharisees) and
thus many shun the OT. They do not realize the whole Bible is the Word of
God, ‘One Word’ and not ‘many words’ that we can omit any part of it.

During the early Church there was no OT and NT, they were known by the name
of their respective books. It was later the Catholic Church segregated the
Bible into OT and NT due to their lack of understanding of the Covenant
(not Covenants) between God and His people.

The Covenant was started with Noah and there were 6 others namely Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and Jesus who were instruments through whom the
Covenant was bettered at every stage. It was through Jesus that there was
dynamic up-gradation of the Covenant (renewed Covenant) where grace and
truth was added.

It is true that the Law of the Lord exposed the sin of man, for man did
wrong and was not guilty of it, but then saying the Law is connected to sin
is like saying fence/wall is not to protect but to imprison people.

In the subsequent scriptures Paul talks of the Law followed by the
Prophets, which we know that before Jesus even the Prophets had little
knowledge of the Law (Kingdom of God), it was only with the Holy Spirit
(Spirit of Truth) being given to the people that they started understanding
the Kingdom of God.

Let take an example. We have Solomon who was the most wisest person in the
OT and whose book ‘Songs of Solomon’ has the most profound, in depth
disclosure of the relationship between God the Father, Son, Spirit and His
people (people without wisdom think it is to do with human worldly
love/romance), yet we see Solomon himself worshipped idols even in his old
age.

Today’s message brings up an insightful aspect of working in God’s Kingdom.

When we work for God’s Kingdom we are called vessels through which the Lord
serves. Being served by a vessel does not change the nature of that vessel
unless the vessel itself absorbs that which is served through it.

Just because God speaks through us does not mean, that wisdom and
understanding is in us. Many a times we may not understand the depth of the
revelations which the Lord reveals through us but other people may.

I have shared before how this has happened to me many a times when I think
why go to Church service when they do not share anything new, but then God
does not fail me and speaks through the preacher even though the preacher
himself/herself has no idea of what he or she spoke.

A Good Name  
 
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. – Proverbs 22:1 ESV

When do we start being influenced by others? Caring what other people think? A recent study provided some startling news. Even by the time they are two years old, children can change their behavior when they know they are being watched. They even can react differently to different kinds of comments.

Researchers concluded that this demonstrates how concerned human beings of all ages tend to be about their reputation.

As the Bible reminds us, our reputation is very important. In fact, a good name actually is more valuable than riches! Our reputation demonstrates the kind of life we have lived. It reflects our character and what others think of us.

How do we secure a good name? We secure a good name by being surrendered to the Spirit, by making Jesus the Lord of our lives, by living according to God’s Word, by acting with integrity, by keeping our promises and being trustworthy, and by being faithful in little things (Luke 16:10-12).

Think for a moment about people we respect. The mere mention of their names fills us with appreciation and confidence. We aspire to be like them. But we react differently toward people whom we do not respect.

Today, remember that other people are watching you. Your choices will impact how they think about you and how they think about the Gospel. Remember, you are called to seek a “good name.” Be careful in your choices.

Prayer
Father, help me to be faithful and responsible, a person others can trust. Help me to be a good witness for the Gospel. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Pharisee

John 11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a
commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew [it], that
they might take him.

In today’s scripture we see there were the chief priests (equivalent to
Bishops) and the Pharisees who gave watch outside the temple during the
feast to seize Jesus Christ if He showed up.

Who were the Pharisees?

They are the most misunderstood people, whose name is used today by
Christians to curse people who tend to the religious side or are hypocrites
and used by the Jews to be proud of their faith.

The word Pharisee means ‘the separated one’ they were the worldly version
of a Levi meaning ‘joined one’ (who had to be born in a family to serve
God). Even though the Pharisee thought he was separated from the people so
as to connect to God, but the latter part was missing.

Jews put the start of the Pharisee movement to the times of Ezra and
Nehemiah where people were separated unto the law. But Bible historians put
this movement to the times of Maccabees, to a person named John who led the
revolt to save the Jewish belief and for the freedom of the Jews. It was
that John of Maccabees who started the concept of baptism in water, John
the Baptism simply used it to get people to repent and turn to the Lord, he
used the Pharisees’ own separation symbolism to tell them they are not
separated enough. They were considered heroes before and later turned to
hypocrites.

Unlike the Sadducees who did not accept any book of the Prophets outside
the Torah, the Pharisees did (Jesus rebuked the Pharisees but did not find
it worth to rebuke the Sadducees). The Pharisees also believed in not just
‘Written Law’ but also ‘Oral Law’ which not being defined well allowed lots
of tampering and modifications by people in position.

To protect people from breaking the 10 Commandments they set a fence around
it by introducing 248 commandments and 365 prohibitions. The problem was
they had not understood the 10 thus what concoction they created was a
mockery of the Law of the Lord and this concoction was what was called the
Law of Moses. Paul in his letter condemned this Law and not the Law of the
Lord which he loved.

The Pharisees were considered protectors of the Law for they would even die
for it, but in all this the Lord had no role. They had tremendous passion
but no understanding. They hid their dislike to the Lord and His Kingdom
behind their false religious passion and their traditions.

Let us not be like the Pharisees showing a great passion for the Lord but
blind to the truth. Let us not concentrate on separating from people or the
world like a Pharisee, but more focus on joining ourselves to the Lord like
a Levi. Let us overcome evil by not fighting it, but by doing good. Above
all let us remember 2 types of people will never enter Heaven, those who
are blind (lack knowledge of the Truth) and those who are lame (not walking
in the ways of the Lord).

Taking credit for our labor

2 Corinthians 10:13 But we will not boast of things without [our] measure,
but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us,
a measure to reach even unto you.

Taking credit for doing God’s work is always looked in a dicey manner. Some
may look it as boasting while others may justify it. In today’s scripture
we read Paul drawing the thin line between these two factors. The factor is
for what we take credit for.

Many who labor for God’s Kingdom think they are doing God a favor therefore
demand equal response for God (as to their knowledge). They set
expectations and receipt of favors for their labor, they do not realize the
labor they do is like a person working out in a gym. When a person lifts or
does workout in a gym they are not doing any favor to anyone but
themselves, they are building their worn body.

Yes we do get credit in Heaven for our labor but the main factor is that we
get stronger when we labor and thus are found eligible for greater roles in
God’s Kingdom. Paul symbolizes this with being rich in this world.

Heavenly richness is not having Heavenly money or precious metals/gems
(they are symbolic) but all about having a Heavenly position. Paul in his
last later letter concludes perfectly as a high calling / crown.

We have to understand it is not about just going to Heaven, but also about
what position we go as. Heaven is not a flat big hall, the higher levels
are equated to a mountain with the peak being where the Throne (glory) of
God is.

Let us not be surprised on Judgment Day but today let us prepare ourselves
for our place in Heaven.

Falsehood will fail against you

Mark 14:54, 55 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of
the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the
fire. And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against
Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

The shaky nature of Peter to deny Jesus and follow Him allows us to know of
the things that happened in the court where the Jewish Priests tried to
justify their wrath/revenge against Jesus, and of their plan to kill Him.
We find many tried to accuse Him for many things but none could
substantiate their accusations against Him. Between themselves they found
their falsehood failed against Jesus Christ.

Today the Lord is saying especially to those who are going through a
situation of falsely being accused that any type of falsehood against them
will fail and the enemy’s plans will also fail against them.

Let us remember our God is a Living God and He alone is God. He cares for
His people (those who seek Him) and He protects them very dearly. Let us
always keep our eyes on Him.

False Christians

John 10: 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door
into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and
a robber.

We always speak of ‘false prophets’ but we never speak of ‘false
Christians’, which is a bigger damage to Christianity. Christianity suffers
more because of false Christians than false prophets. If there were few
false Christians than false prophets would find it hard to exist, they
exist because the Church is filled with more false Christians than true
Christians.

Today’s message does not speak about false prophets but of false Christians.

Jesus said I am the way. It means we need to travel by Him (the way) and He
also said the Comforter will lead us by the way (make Him known to us). So
when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master we simply stand at the
entrance of the way, it is our baptism which takes us along the way, our
baptism in Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit. There is no two, three or many
baptisms, there is only one baptism, baptism in Jesus Christ via the Holy
Spirit. Before the followers of Christ were called ‘Christians’ in Antioch
they were called ‘People of The Way’ all because they truly followed Jesus
Christ.

Today’s message speaks of Christians who are not baptized in Christ via the
Holy Spirit, these are not true Christians and thus great danger to
Christianity. It is these who destroy other Christians and cause the fall
of others.

Let us first introspect ourselves if we are Christians by baptism or are we
amongst those who are a danger to Christianity. If we are not transformed
by His Spirit then there is a danger of another spirit working through us.

He is Christ

John 9:22 These [words] spake his parents, because they feared the Jews:
for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was
Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

The term Christ is given in the NT and comes from Greek word ‘Christos’, it
is translated as ‘anointed one’. The word is an adjective and if we get
into the root word ‘chraomai’ which means ‘to receive a loan’ in other
words the word Christ simple means one who has receive another Spirit. When
we use the term Christ for Jesus we are stating Him as one who has the
Spirit of God / Holy Spirit.

In Antioch when the disciples were called ‘Christians’ it did not means
they had the Spirit of God like Jesus did, for Bible says in Him alone God
found it worthy to dwell in fullness/whole. Isaiah 11:1-2 states there are
7 Spirits of God (it is 7 in 1 - Holy Spirit) and He was whole in Him alone..

When we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive a token of the Spirit of Truth
(1 of the 7 Spirits of God) which means a small part of Him (Spirit of
Truth) and then as we get baptized (transformed) in Him we start to grow in
Him, in other words receive more and more of Him (even of the other 5
Spirits).

In the Tabernacle the Lord commanded the Israelites to make a candle stand
with 7 branches so as to depict the Holy Spirit, also the Shewbread which
depicted Jesus (Son o Man), both were kept in the Holy place not in the
Holy of Holies. The Ark of Covenant which was kept in the Holy of Holies
did not depict the Throne of God in Heaven as believed (although the top
cover was made symbolically with the Cherubim), if studied in depth it
depicted the Cross / Cause of Christ. In other words God the Father was
nowhere symbolized in the Tabernacle. John 1:18 says no being has seen God
other than the Son. It is the Cross / Cause of Christ that later brings us
to be part of the Tabernacle of God the Father.

We need to note Bible also warns us there are / will be other ‘christs’
meaning people with other kinds of spirits. So let us not just follow
‘anointed’ people just because they do things or take the name of Jesus,
let us discern their anointing by their purpose and the ‘Spirit’ that
operates within them.

humble Himself to be the Lamb that was slain for us. You humbled yourself
and became our sacrifice so that we receive your Spirit and be transformed

Encounter with Abraham

John 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus had claimed to have met Abraham and the Jews could not digest this
for as a man who was not even 50 years old was claiming to have encountered
a person living more than 2000years back (during this incident). The Jews
could not understand this because they did not know Jesus.

In today’s date too most Christians do not understand this for they too
like the Jews do not know Jesus that well. Most Christians think Jesus as
God (God the Son) met Abraham. They do not realize in His divine nature no
man, not even Angels can stand before Him. Like no being has seen God the
Father other than the Son so also the Son had humbled Himself in the
foundation of Creation of both Heaven and earth (heavenly beings and beings
of this natural world), thus no being has seen the Son in His full glory.

If we read scriptures and their cross reference we will understand and know
for of Jesus for He became us what we are and what we will become. It is
only in knowing Lord Jesus Christ we will know ourselves and the plans God
(Godhead) has for us. It is not only our story but even the beings like the
Angels and Cherubim are connected with our story and results.

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about being Christ as man today He wants us
to know more of Him before He became man about 2000years back and after He
gave His glory and created the Heavens and our creation.

God is in control

Acts 1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias;
and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Yesterday a very poor woman who was discovered by someone at Kolkata
railway station singing for food to have an excellent voice, whose video
went viral, she was selected by one very famous music director to sing for
his song, she stated it was God who worked through people and used people
to bless her since He loved her very much. She gave all the glory to the
Lord Jesus Christ.

We find people who are in difficult situations and under great problems at
times blame God for putting them through this, indirectly they state God
hates them and does not love them.

We know God created all things and all life comes from Him so even Satan is
created by Him, that does not means there is evil in God.

The Taoism (Chinese belief) believe in Yin-Yang (God and Bad) exist in this
universe and both need to exist also there needs to be a balance between
the two; this is because they do not know God and are more an atheist
belief (believing in universal spirit, not an intellectual being), but have
human-gods or animal gods which can be killed and given birth to, like what
exist in Hinduism (bhagwans)!

Is God a puppeteer who controls every thought, every action and every event?

Initially when I was spiritually new in the Lord I I thought we are
directly connected to God like a live connection and thus we live, when God
desires He disconnects and we die! Later I realized when we were created in
the foundation of creation, we were like seeds and the day we became a
living soul in our mother’s womb we started to live our spiritual life term
(which is a few thousands of years), if we go to Hell we suffer our sins
there till our life term finishes, and if we sleep in Christ and go to
Heaven then we can live eternally for we can renew our spirit lives via the
Tree / River of Life (symbolic) which exist in Heaven. Above all God knows
who will go to Heaven.

So all though all life comes from God yet its beginning and end is marked
by Him, each one lives it as He desires and the Lord gives freedom to do
so. But that does not mean He becomes audience to all things. Although evil
exist He sets boundaries to it so that His people are not consumed by it.
Also He does not wait for the extremes, if people call upon Him He does
intervene. Although all things are set by Him yet there are times He
intervene without disturbing the timeline or story of His creation which is
already written.

Similarly if we look at the Bible although it says everything its written
and complete, nothing can be added or removed from it yet we find God still
talks to us individually even today. What we will see is whatever God
speaks will not contradict His written Word, if it does then it was not God
that spoke to us but either an evil spirit or our misled conscience.

In today’s message we find the Apostles casting lots to know God’s decision
between two persons. In the OT the breastplate of the High Priest had
pockets in which were two objects called Urim and the Thummim which in
Hebrew means truth and perfect (symbolizes the Word of God) and whenever
the Lord did not speak to His people directly or through a Man of God, the
priest wore the breastplate and via these two objects gave the Lord’s
decision (similar to casting lots).

It does not means one can pick anything randomly and state it is the Lord’s
decision, one needs to have proper understanding of the process and over
time knows how the Lord does it (note the breastplate was only worn by a
Priest and not anyone).

It is by this understanding I get my daily messages and one can see the
supernatural links between them and what is currently or going on or going
to happen in this world.

The Fullness of Gentiles

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in
part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

In the Bible the terms used many a times do not mean what people
understand. Like the term ‘Israel’ is mostly misunderstood with the Jewish
people who have named their country Israel. Paul in today’s message speaks
of the importance of knowing the mystery of the terms like Israel,
Gentiles... I will attend to some in today’s message.

The Hebrew word Yisra’el is a compound word means ‘Prince(s) of God’ and
symbolizes Sons of God and symbolizes those who are matured in the Lord.
When the Lord called Jacob meaning "supplanter" Israel it spoke of His plan
of redemption. Term like ‘Egypt’ which means ‘dual strait’ speaks of those
who are of God but living a worldly life.

Jew a term used for people of Judah whose capital was Jerusalem (meaning
teaching of peace) symbolizes those spiritually little in the Lord. In the
Bible there is no scripture asking us to pray for Israel but asks us to
pray for Jerusalem and people have changed it assuming the Lord asks us to
pray for the people of the country Israel. We are called to pray for all
those who are spiritually little or growing in the Lord irrespective of
whichever country they belong and when we do that we too are blessed.

Zion which means ‘fortified city’, the term ‘Sons of Zion’ is the highest
level of spiritual growth and talks of being in authority like Jesus as man
was on earth. David called the city of Jerusalem Zion in faith even though
there was no wall around it, it was later that Solomon built its first
wall. If we read scriptures connected to this term normally equated to
Israel thus we find most people call Israelites Zionist not aware of its
true understanding.

The Hebrew term Gentile comes for the root Hebrew word for ‘back’ and
symbolizing ‘backsliding people’ or those who are of the Lord but
worshiping other gods, in other words the ‘lost sheep’.

Today’s scriptures talks of the mission of the Lord Jesus Christ which is
the ‘fullness of Gentiles’ in other words speaks of the gathering of the
lost sheep. We as Disciples of Christ, who carry the mission of Christ,
have only one purpose that is to gather the Lord’s sheep who are lost
(Gentile) and bring them into Israel (Zion) which in other words means
discipleship them in the Lord.

Gaining them that are without law

1 Corinthians 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being
not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain
them that are without law.

The term ‘law’ seems to fall both in homonyms (two words having same
spelling/pronunciation yet different meanings) as well as Antonyms (words
that have opposite meanings). We use the term ‘lawless’ to people who have
no principles or are rebellious and on the other hand we call people under
the law as those under bondage. People are confused if they want the law or
do not want the law.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul seems to debate a lot on the good or bad
aspect of the law. To understand law we to understand what law is and which
law does the scripture refer to.

The Hebrew and Greek word for ‘law’ comes from the root ‘establishment’
(Torah also translated as law means direction or teaching) so law is
connected to rule or kingdom. When we say ‘the Kingdom of God is here’ it
simply means the people are abiding in His rule. We cannot say we dwell in
God’s Kingdom or are citizens of His Kingdom if we are not abiding in His
rule / law. Every Word of the Lord is the Law of God. God said in the later
days He would write His Law in our heart, in other word meant the Spirit of
the Lord will speak to us individually like He spoke to Moses.

Coming to the second part of ‘which law’. In the NT concerning
Jews/Christians the term ‘law’ referred to two laws, the ‘Law of Moses’ and
the ‘Law of the Lord’. Although both originate from Moses since the Lord
gave the Law through Moses where the difference exist, is in its
understanding, which effects its purpose.

The Law of the Lord when done in the natural without understanding its
purpose, it becomes the Law of Moses. So traditions are Law of Moses while
statutes are Law of the Lord. Paul thus says anything done in the name of
the Lord but without understanding of the truth (faith) is sin.

Today’s verse speaks not of people not following the traditions of the Jews
or Christians but those who are not dwelling in the Kingdom of the Lord -
in other words Gentiles / lost sheep. Even if the person is one who reads
the Bible or attends Church services, yet will be considered a Gentile or
lost sheep if that person does not dwell in God’s Kingdom in other words
does not follow the Law of the Lord.

Let us not think Gentiles are those who are not ‘Christians’ but amongst
‘Christians’ we will find many Gentiles.

Lord You are Almighty Holy God the Heavens are your abode. You are
Omnipresent and there is no place You do not exist. Your Throne is in the
Highest Heavens not for it is a chair put there but a place where your
glory shines the most. Wherever your Kingdom exist your glory is seen. Lord

abiding in your Law / your Word...

Betrayal of Jesus a Philosophical Approach

John 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and
testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall
betray me.

As man Jesus had knowledge of things that were revealed through scriptures.
So in scriptures was given that one of His followers would betray Him and
Jesus was well aware of it. What was interesting to know is that Jesus did
not know who amongst the twelve would be that one person who would betray
Him. This was only confirmed to Him only nearing the Last Supper that the
betrayer would be Judas.

In today’s message we read how Jesus was troubled in spirit about the fact
from the twelve who were closely developed by Him and trained by Him there
would be a betrayer, yet He did not exhibit this in nor affect His work
amongst them.

If we get into philosophical logical possibilities, they are driven by two
factors necessities (need) and contingency (condition). The betrayal of
Jesus by one of His disciples was unchangeable for it was written, Jesus
could not avoid it (condition) also His betrayal was needed so that the
sacrifice would be performed. In Jewish / legal factors in force during
that time the identity of a person had to be established by minimum two
persons and if one of them was a close person then the identification was
unquestionable. Today the question of a mistaken identity is ruled out
since it was His close disciple who identified Him.

In the Bible there are many prophecies which are yet to come. We cannot
change any of them. There are many which are not time stamped these can be
quickened or delayed but those which are time stamped will come in its time
and these cannot be tampered with.

The second coming of Jesus Christ or Judgment Day is not a time stamped
event thus Jesus stated He did not know the hour and day even though it is
He who would come on that day. Lots of factors concerning the event are
given and all depends on their fulfilment for Christ to come again. It is
only when we have knowledge of those factors and fulfill them that we can
quicken His coming.

Jesus equated His coming again to the floods of Noah and Noah knew unless
the task given to Him of building the ark was not fulfilled the floods
would not come. Noah took 100years to complete the ark and the flood
awaited Noah. Had Noah stopped half way would the flood have cancelled? God
could have got someone less to complete it, this would have delayed the
flood further but the purpose of the ark was to save those whom God had
earmarked from his wrath which could not be cancelled.

Instead of shouting on rooftops of the coming of the floods let us
concentrate on building the ark so that the floods come quickly. It is we
who are delaying the coming of Christ.

Lord You are Almighty and Awesome God. You Lord created all things for a
purpose and nothing can destroy the purpose for You are not man to fail.
Lord we pray we are not deceived to delay your purpose or lose being part
of it. We pray we do not be distracted but focus on the building of the Ark
so that we see your glory soon...

Prophesy of Peter

John 21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou
girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt
be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee,
and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not.

In the NT there are two people who are indirectly connected to the false
church / goats and they are Mary the mother of Jesus and Peter the Apostle.
These people personally had nothing to do with the false church but their
names were prophesized to be misused by this church.

When Mary (which in Hebrew means bitter) went to the temple with the 8 days
old child for the dedication the Prophet Simeon prophesized to Mary that
after her death (soul) a sword will pierce her (pain her) so as to reveal
the hearts of people. This prophecy had nothing to do with the suffering of
Jesus but had to do with her name being misused after her death. The Lord
allowed people to worship her so that the hearts to those who say they love
Him but really do not will be exposed.

Today we have thousands and thousands of people even of other religions
(Muslims / Hindus) worshipping her and we have Catholics who reject the
Bible just because those who follow the Bible do not worship her. The first
question they ask Believers ‘do you respect (worship) Mary!’ These people
even declare they ‘were born Catholic and will die Catholic’ (even if they
have to suffer Hell), sadly they so not realize they will not go to Hell
because they have accepted Jesus but rejected His Word, but on Judgment day
will go to a place worse than Hell that is the Lake of Fire.

Peter was called Peter (small stone - a term used for Satan in OT) not only
because he was an unsteady character but also because of the false church
being built on his name. This church in the 7 letters to the 7 Churches (7
eras of the Church) has the 2nd era (300AD to 400AD) calling it the temple
of Satan and 3rd era (400AD – 1500AD) calling it the throne of Satan. In
Rome the statue stated to be of Peter, like the picture of Jesus promoted
by this church, is of another character and have nothing to do with
resembling them.

Today’s message is a double prophecy it indicated about Peter becoming a
martyr but it also speaks of the phase of the church built on his name.
Revelations 17, 18 also speaks of how in the later phases (6th - the one we
have just entered into) will see it fall. We who follow Christ are told in
NT as well as OT to bring this Church down.

Believers should concentrate on giving the Gospel to Catholics for this is
the period where their hearts will change and they will turn to God.

Let us not lose this opportunity of a great harvest but reach out to every
Catholic we are connected with and get them to see the importance of
abiding in the Word of God and following His Spirit, everything else will
be done by the Lord.

and events. We pray Lord we understand the importance of standing in the
gap so as to see your glory. We pray your people will reach out to the lost
who are deceived by the false church and made to believe they still worship
You. Lord we pray more and more hearts and minds we opened to see the
truth...
