A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
You don’t need a pulpit to preach the GOSPEL; your everyday actions are a sermon on their own. Preach accurately!

LAW OF MOSES
"Then HE said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses (Torah) and the Prophets (Nevi’im) and the Psalms (Kethuvim) concerning ME."  And HE opened their understanding, that they might understand the SCRIPTURES." [Luke 24. 44 - 45]

MESSIAH Y’SHUA, on the day of resurrection, had given a wonderful session of SCRIPTURE teaching to two of HIS followers on the Road to Emmaus (perhaps Cleopas and his wife, Miryam [Mary] who had been at the cross, see John 9:25).  "Beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, HE expounded to them in all the SCRIPTURES the things concerning HIMSELF." [Luke 24. 27] Later that same evening, RISEN LORD appeared to the eleven apostles and the other disciples, in the upper room, and gave a similar report to all of them that HE had to the couple on the road.

We learn so much from our MASTER TEACHER concerning how we should also teach the complete WRITTEN WORD; for it was through "the SPIRIT OF CHRIST" [1 Peter 1. 11], WHO in actuality wrote the HOLY TEXT.  The whole BIBLE speaks of MESSIAH in prophecy, in type, and in other ways.  MESSIAH Y’SHUA began with the writings of Moses, meaning first of all the account of creation and ancient history which is the foundation of all the rest.

It is quite evident that LORD Y’SHUA regarded "all SCRIPTURE" to be of DIVINE authority which "must be fulfilled" either at HIS first coming or HIS Second Coming.  HE believed in the perfect and absolutely infinite inspiration of THE LIVING WORD OF GOD, as well as the miracle of fulfilled prophecy. Even the writings of Paul, it is stated, "If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the LORD." [1 Corinthians 14. 37]

Even in the case of these closest followers, it was essential that the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD "open their understanding" if they were really to "understand SCRIPTURES."   All who hope to teach the WORD OF TRUTH today should teach as the ALL-WISE MASTER HIMSELF taught, for MESSIAH is our GREAT TEACHER.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
YOURS, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in the earth belongs to YOU; YOURS is the kingdom, O LORD, and YOU are exalted as head above all.  May our lips ever declare praises to YOU, LORD Y’SHUA our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for YOUR loving kindness is mighty over us.
Our prayer for each of you is for mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance from our WONDERFUL REDEEMER.
Observing July 4th and our absolute dependence on the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Smooth seas don’t make skillful sailors.

TEN LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL
"In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria. He carried the Israelites to Assyria and settled them in Halah, at the River Habor, at the River Gozan, and in the towns of Media." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 17. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im; also see 18. 9-12]

Ever since the ten tribes of the Northern Kingdom of Israel were taken to Assyria in captivity by the Assyrian king, there has been wide-spread speculations and various clans of people claiming to be the lost tribes of Israel. However, if one would diligently read the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, they would see clearly the coming together of all Twelve Israelite Tribes forming one Jewish Nation.

The other two tribes, Judah and Benjamin, were later taken captive to Babylon, but eventually they returned to rebuild Jerusalem and establish their nation in the Land of Promise once again. "Then he (Asa) assembled all the people of Judah and Benjamin and those of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who sojourned among them, for many in Israel came over to him when they saw that the LORD GOD was with him. They assembled together in Jerusalem...and brought sacrifices to the LORD that day. They entered into a covenant to worship the LORD GOD of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 15. 9 - 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

{An interesting thought regarding Judah and Benjamin: Ever since Judah stood as surety for Benjamin — Genesis/Bereshith 43. 9, they have been together. . . their boarders in the Land of Israel, even in captivity. Ezra 4.1;10. 9; Nehemiah/Nechemah 11. 4}

There were many GOD-fearing Israelites within the ten tribes who decidedly chose to stay with Jerusalem, after Jeroboam led the ten tribes away from Rehoboam to establish his Northern Kingdom. "The priests and the Levites, from all their territories throughout Israel, took their stand with him (Rehoboam)...for Jeroboam and his sons had prevented them from serving the LORD...From all the tribes of Israel, those who set their heart to seek the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD GOD of their fathers." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 11. 13, 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

GOD'S RECORD OF EVIDENCE gives numerous accounts, even in the NEW COVENANT, that most of the deported ten tribes, or their descendants, eventually came back to the Land of Promise and were all called Jews (from the name Judah) in the time of MESSIAH Y’SHUA. Such as, the prophetess Hannah (Anna), Phanuel's daughter, of the tribe of Asher [Luke 2. 36]; and the Apostle Paul of the tribe of Benjamin. [Philippians 3. 5]

Though most Jews cannot trace their lineage since the time the Temple was destroyed and all records burned. However, the ALL-WISE, OMNISCIENT MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, still has a people who are called according to HIS will. HE knows those who are HIS and of what tribe they are from. As recorded in the last book of HOLY SCRIPTURE — "And I heard the number of those who were sealed; and there were sealed one hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel." [Revelation 7. 4] Although Dan and Ephraim are not shown in this numbering (deliberately for a specific reason), the tribes are accounted for, the ten tribes were never lost at all. Our GREAT & MIGHTY GOD is still in control, and HIS WORD is accurate, faithful, perfect, exact and completely reliable. . . Believe It!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
"Return, O LORD, to the ten thousands of the families of Israel." [Numbers/B'Midvar 10. 36]
O LORD GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when anguish bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU. Guide me by the light of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU, my ROCK, my REDEEMER and my PORTION. All praise, thanks and glory belong to YOU, ALMIGHTY KING of all ages.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Worrying is taking on a responsibility the glorious GOD OF HEAVEN never intended you to have.

FLEE FROM WRATH
"But when he (John the Baptizer) saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them — Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" [Matthew 3. 7]

There are times to stand and there are times to flee. There are some things so fearful and deadly that it is foolish to try and face them at all. The only rational course, when confronted by them, is to flee!

The most obvious is to flee from the wrath of GOD for His judgment is terrible and eternal. Therefore, His message to all unsaved men and women is to "flee from the wrath that is to come." The only way to flee from the wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD, is to run to MESSIAH Y’SHUA and receive HIM as your SAVIOR & LORD for He is the ONLY Way of salvation.

It is good and wise to refrain from all kinds of sin, but certain sins have deadly consequences even in this present life and Scriptures warn us to flee from them. "But you, O man of GOD, flee these things...the love of money" and those who suppose godliness is a means of gain. Apostle Paul says, those who desire to be rich "fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." [1 Timothy 6. 10, 5, 9] Therefore, flee from this temptation!

We are to "flee from idolatry" [1 Corinthians 10. 14] to be precise — any form of worshipping and serving any part of the creation or any pretentious man-made god. But, "revere only the LORD your GOD and worship Him alone." Keep in mind what Holy Scripture makes known, "Rebellion is like the sin of divination (witchcraft), defiance (stubbornness), like the iniquity of teraphim (idolatry)." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 15. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Also, we are to "flee fornication (sexual immorality)." [1 Corinthians 6. 18] This is a deadly danger to the Christian in these days of living in a depraved, corrupt, wicked, and morally bankrupt society. "Flee youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, charity (love), and peace with those who call on the LORD out of a pure heart." [2 Timothy 2.. 22] "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." [Revelation 21. 8]

In like manner, young and old believers alike need this warning and diligently bear fruits worthy of repentance. If we call on the LORD Y’shua ha'Mashiach with a pure heart, we will be excluded from Almighty GOD'S wrath that is coming upon the world. We desperately need JESUS!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May YOUR will, O MOST HIGH LORD be fulfilled and Your sovereignty revealed in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel. We solemnly thank and praise You for the treasures of your wisdom, knowledge, righteousness and peace. We honor YOU as our LAWGIVER and the GREATEST LOVER of our soul.
May we each be living temples made ready for the KING OF GLORY to return for those HE redeemed.
May each day be entered with joy in our hearts and confidence that ALMIGHTY GOD, in HIS mercy, will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed and depraved world around us! Remember, faith celebrates even before the victory is seen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Some people work as if there was a secrecy to their job that does not allow them to know what they are doing.

KISS THE SON
"And we declare to you glad tidings — that promise which was made to the fathers. GOD has fulfilled this for us their children, in that HE has raised up MESSIAH Y’SHUA. As it is also written in the Second Psalm — YOU are MY SON, today I have begotten YOU." [Acts 13. 32 - 33]

The HOLY SPIRIT OF THE LORD, through the psalmist David promised that one day the SON OF GOD would rise from the dead — the "first born from the dead." [Colossians 1. 18]  Therefore, the GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL definitely was preached in the OLD COVENANT.  The LORD Y’SHUA even quoted Psalm 110:1 to prove HIS OWN deity [Matthew 22. 43, 45] and Psalm 82:6 [John 10. 34 - 36] to uphold and support HIS claims.

This particular passage in the Book of Acts teaches another truth that is often overlooked.  By identifying the Second Psalm as such, the writer (through the FAITHFUL COMFORTER) tells us that the chapter divisions of the Book of Psalms were there by DIVINE INSTRUCTION from the beginning.  Since each of the Psalms is a poem, it shows obvious verse divisions.  It is not surprising then, that we can find many remarkable examples of plans and design from our marvelous CREATOR GOD in the very structure of HIS PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD.

Psalm 2, speaking of the ANOINTED ONE, is the first of the MESSIANIC Psalms, but actually, the LORD Y’SHUA and HIS GOSPEL OF SALVATION are clearly present in each of the 150 Psalms.  "Kiss the SON, give reverential respect, lest HE be angered, and your way be doomed in the mere flash of HIS anger. Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "Faithfulness, mercy and truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss. Truth shall spring up from the earth, justice looks down from heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "He who gives a right answer is as though he kissed the lips." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word "nashaq" could be translated as "kiss, touch, equip with weapons or rule."  When we allow Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH to be THE RULER of our lives, we unite with HIM in every aspect of our being.  HE is the GREAT & MIGHTY GOD WHO goes before us and enjoins our lives.  "Righteousness goes before HIM and HIS footsteps become our pathway." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"In HIS forbearance, GOD had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time HIS righteousness, that HE might be just and the JUSTIFIER of the one who has faith in MESSIAH Y’SHUA." [Romans 3. 25 - 26]  When the LORD JESUS, the ALPHA & OMEGA, is the center of our lives, we are well equipped with all we need supplied, for HE is our REFUGE & STRENGTH and has also become our DELIVERANCE; a MIGHTY KING is HE and HE is ever faithful.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Toward YOU alone, SOVEREIGN LORD GOD, is my desire, and all my thoughts are turned to YOU. My mind and my heart cling to YOU and thank and praise YOU for YOUR many gifts of grace. Therefore, with trembling reverence I place my body and soul, my spiritual life on the flaming altar of devotion, as an offering to YOU, the ONLY ONE WHO’S supreme greatness no mind can conceive or be sufficiently grateful. There is peace, rest, and unending happiness in the wonderful light of YOUR PRESENCE. Thank YOU LORD, for being my REFUGE.
Last night began the 3-week national period of mourning with a Fast Day (17 Tammuz 5778 — June 30, 2018 [sundown to sundown]).
Four traumatic events happened in history that force the Jewish people to think about who we are and who we want to be. To one degree or another, each event is an echo of the tragedy that took place on the 17th of Tammuz.
1.  The Romans placed an idol in the sanctuary of the Holy Temple.
No sacrilege could be more vulgar. The reason GOD allowed this to happen is that He wanted us to see where our chosen path would take us. By this time, we had lost our collective identity, and had buried our consciousness in endless in-fighting. Each group sincerely believed in their own cause. Each thought that they had a moral right to rule. Each took GOD out of the picture as they attacked each other with ever increasing savagery. The Romans had been conducting their public life like this for years. They believed in control, nature and power. We had the opportunity to see where this road leads. The end of the trail was the horror of and desecration of the sanctuary.
2.  The walls around Jerusalem were breached.
This is the date recorded in the Talmud as the beginning of the siege of Jerusalem. A breach in the wall was the beginning of the end. It could only happen when our faith was fragmented, and the protection of the HOLY ONE that we had been given in the past was no longer something we could count on. What this means concretely is that if we wish to abandon our reliance on the ALMIGHTY and replace this with belief in ourselves or in nature, we will have to pay the price.
3.  The daily offerings could no longer continue.
In the time of both Temples a consequence of the battle for Jerusalem was that there was no possibility to continue the service as it had been conducted for hundreds of years. The symbolic meaning of the sacrifices (which are called korban, that which makes close, in Hebrew) is that it is up to us to elevate the world to GOD, not to create illusions that dwarf Him to make the "fit" more comfortable.
4.  The Romans burned a Torah scroll. They believed in the rules made by man, not those made by the SOVEREIGN GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 12 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Peace is a duet, NOT a solo; it cannot be made by one-side alone. If it could, it would have been done long ago.

SEEKING AFTER SIGNS
"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the SON OF MAN be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." [Matthew 12. 39 - 40]

Today, if ever there was one, this is "an evil and adulterous generation!" Once again, there is a pervasively wide-spread mass of people seeking after signs and miracles. The explosive rise of the so-called New Age movement has produced a devastatingly amazing interest in all forms of occultism, supernatural phenomena, astrology, channeling, extrasensory perception, near-death experiences, unidentified flying objects, meditations and mysticism of every strange variety.

CHRISTian circles abound with such practices as well, as there is an unhealthy interest in new revelations and other supernatural signs. The LORD Y’ESHUA rebuked those who wanted special signs, however. "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe." [John 4. 48] HE already has given us the greatest of all signs — HIS bodily resurrection from the dead, the best evidenced fact of all history — and this should be more then sufficient, just like HE told the scribes and Pharisees.

There is a real great danger in seeking such signs and wonders, for may of these things — while perhaps being supernatural — are not from CREATOR GOD. "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." [Matthew 24. 24] Because an "evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign." [Matthew 12. 39]

GOD tests to see if you will believe and are committed to the RISEN ONE. "O LORD OF HOSTS, YOU WHO judge righteously, testing the heart and the mind." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 11. 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im] Whereas, Satan — that despicably cunning (shrewd, crafty, sneaky, devious) dragon "deceives the whole world...by those signs which he was granted to do." [Revelation 12. 9; 13. 14]

Unlike the first generation of MESSIAH’S followers, we have the complete WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, both OLD and NEW COVENANTS, and they are sufficient for every need of every believer until KING Y’SHUA returns. "And so we have the PROPHETIC WORD confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the DAY STAR rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of SCRIPTURE is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved by the HOLY SPIRIT." [2 Peter 1. 19 – 21]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath – Queen of the week! Sabbath of Balak – “Balak” [Reading: Numbers 22:2 - 25:9; Micah 5:7 – 6:8; Matthew 21:1-11]
Praised are YOU, Y’SHUA, LORD OF THE SABBATH, we desire to exalt YOU as the ONE WHO gives true Sabbath peace and rest. May YOUR PRESENCE be with us in these trying times, for nothing is complicated for YOU. O LORD - haste the day, we pray, when all sorrows fade away, and all the world knows Sabbath peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Logic and reason have never been strong suits of the fanatical anti-Jewish..

IF ONLY
"Harvest is past, the summer is ended, but we have not been saved!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 8. 20 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

One might add a “Woe or OY!” to this as it is a depressingly gloomy verse. The weeping prophet, Jeremiah was woefully lamenting the fact that his nation’s time of blessing and peace had passed without producing any spiritual fruit. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL had been so wonderfully patient and had sent many prophetic warnings time and again, but they were all ignored and the nation — specially its priests and kings — persisted in their rebellion. And now, the comfort and ease of summertime was over. The MIGHTY GOD declared that HE would soon "turn Jerusalem into a heap of rubble, into dens for jackals"…and "the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitants" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 11 Tanakh, Nevi’im], since they forsook the TEACHINGS and would not obey and follow HIM.

The ending of summer makes a perfect allegory to portray the sad ending of a time of careless living; it is the beginning the fall season, and nights grow longer and longer as winter arrives and brings harvest to a close.

There are sad tales of young men and women who live carelessly and sinfully in the prime of their life with little, if any, thought of their CREATOR or what HIS will is for years to be good years of vigor and potential spiritual fruit in their lives. Then suddenly, they realize that their days of strength and joy are growing shorter with little permanent harvesting of any real value accomplished. Then sudden and permanent destruction.

However, it is never too late for a soul to be saved, even with one’s last breath. The thief on the cross dying beside the LORD YESHUA humbled himself and believed imploring HIM: "LORD, remember me when YOU come into YOUR Kingdom." And, the gracious SAVIOR compassionately affirmed, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with ME in Paradise." [Luke 23. 42 – 43] The thief’s life had no lasting harvest produce to offer his LORD.

"He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves ME, him MY FATHER will honor." [John 12. 25 & 26c] "And he who does not take his cross and follow after ME is not worthy of ME. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for MY sake will find it." [Matthew 10.. 38 – 39]

Remember the sad words of the poet: "For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, "it might have been." Do not waste your years, your shame and regret will be — If only. . . !

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May each day be entered with joy in our hearts and confidence that ALMIGHTY God, in HIS mercy, will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the needy world around us!
Remember your commitment to obey GOD in holiness and integrity of life. We are overwhelmingly grateful for the goodness and grace of GOD to us, truly HIS mercies endure forever.
Now, go forth and proclaim the GOOD NEWS as the BELOVED ONE commissioned while it is still day.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Repentance and good works are as a shield against retribution.

THE BRANCH
"In that day the radiance of the BRANCH OF THE LORD will lend beauty and glory; and of the splendid fruit, my LORD will give excellence of dignity and majesty (honor & glory) to the survivors of Israel." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"THE BRANCH" is a fascinating title for MESSIAH, the PROMISED TRUE VINE, also being the BRANCH OF THE LORD, the SPLENDID FRUIT OF THE LAND. HE is beautiful, glorious, excellent and comely. . . all together lovely. "But, a ROD (Hebrew: choter ) shall come forth, a BRANCH (Hebrew: netzer — descendant, branch) shall grow out of the root of Jesse." This is speaking of the "GREATER SON" of King David, and "a BRANCH shall sprout from his stock (Hebrew: geze — to cut down, a trunk, stump {of a tree}). "The SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon HIM: The SPIRIT of truth, wisdom and understanding, the SPIRIT of counsel and might, the SPIRIT of knowledge and of the reverential fear of the LORD." (seven Spirits of God) [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Interestingly, one of the Hebrew words for branch is "netzer" meaning "the place of the branch, branching forth." Y’SHUA was raised in Nazareth (netzeret), fulfilling the prophecy that says MESSIAH would be "called a Nazarene (a BRANCH)." [Matthew 2. 23] There are two references in Jeremiah and two in Zechariah calling Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, "THE BRANCH." In the Jeremiah passages, HE is the BRANCH OF DAVID: "Behold, the day is coming — says the LORD — that I will raise to David a BRANCH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS." [Jeremiah/Yeshayah 23. 5; 33. 15]

In Zechariah's prophecy, MESSIAH Y’SHUA is called "GOD'S SERVANT and GOD'S MAN." "For behold, I am going to bring MY SERVANT THE BRANCH." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 3. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Behold the MAN, the future KING of David's line, called the BRANCH shall grow out from the place where HE is, and HE shall build the Temple of the LORD." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 6. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This fourfold presentation of the BRANCH of David, the BRANCH as the SERVANT, the MAN WHO is the BRANCH and the BRANCH OF THE LORD beautifully corresponds to the four GOSPELS depiction of LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA as KING (Matthew), SERVANT (Mark), PERFECT MAN (Luke) and SON OF GOD (John).

Just as a vine or a tree branch, when it first begins to shoot forth, it appears small and fragile and easily broken, so the Lord Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH appeared to be inconspicuous and unattractive. "For HE has grown, by HIS favor, as a TENDER PLANT, and as a TREE ROOT out of arid ground." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Yet, this same FRAGILE BRANCH will one day become a GREAT VINE with innumerable branches [John 15. 5] that will spread its exceptionally admirable and wonderfully elegant fruit throughout the entire world. The LORD JESUS gives HIS PRECIOUS NAME to HIS people, they are called CHRISTians [Acts 11. 26], CHRIST-like-ones or sons of GOD. [John 1. 11 - 12; 1 John 3. 1 - 2] We, Y’SHUA'S branches, are to be like HE was in the world. If CHRIST JESUS is not our LORD, we are nothing. . . HE is everything wonderful!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR and PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU give us day after day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU!
I thank YOU LORD for saving my soul! May the flame of Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH burn brightly in your heart as you share HIS light with others..

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A closed mouth gathers no feet.

MAINTAINING A GOOD NAME
"A good name is better than fragrant oil, and the day of death than the day of birth." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 7. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These subjects seem like a strange combination, however, Solomon penned them together. Having had once enjoyed a good name that was almost synonymous with godliness and great wisdom, Solomon eventually became debased with the excesses of wealth, women, fleshly indulgences and human achievements. Finding only vanity in the cares of this life, he began to long even for death.

How tragic when one allows their good name to be ruined by careless carnality. As proved by the wisest man on earth, until a man dies, there is always danger that he may forfeit his good name. Solomon had all the luxuries, the costly ointments and comforts one could possess in life, but he lost his good name and he was unable to redeem it. "Your reputation (good name, standing, character) is to be chosen rather than great riches, grace (loving favor) is better than silver and gold. A rich man and the poor man have this is common, the LORD made them both." [Proverbs (Mishle) 22. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Those redeemed of the LORD have a great responsibility and privilege to maintain a good name for their words and actions inevitably reflect on the precious name of the SAVIOR. When we cause our own names to be damaged, it also gives occasion to the enemies of the MOST HOLY ONE to blaspheme. [see 2 Samuel/Shemuel Bet 12. 14] Many such enemies feverishly are watching for such an opportunity to criticize, curse and blaspheme that gracious name by which you are called "CHRISTIAN" and the HOLY GOD we are to serve with all integrity.

Life is a daily gift from our EVER-FAITHFUL & LOVING GOD and it should be enjoyed as much as possible. Ultimately, ALMIGHTY GOD will judge all our deeds, thoughts and words, therefore we should fear the LORD our GOD and keep HIS commandments. "The benevolent (compassionate) care of our GOD is upon all who seek HIM, but HIS power and fierce wrath are against all those who forsake HIM." [Ezra 8. 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All who maintain a good name now enjoy riches and spiritual good health — "Fear the LORD and shun evil. It will be a cure for your flesh, a tonic for your bones." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We joyously serve the ONE WHO'S NAME is above all names. We are awaiting the fulfillment of another promise, to give us a new name and to write HIS name on us. "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the Temple of MY GOD, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of MY GOD and the name of the City of MY GOD, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from MY GOD. And I will write on him MY new name...I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it." [Revelation 3. 12 & 2. 17] Imagine, HIS LOVELY NAME linked with ours eternally.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
MERCIFUL KING awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR grace which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway come in safety to the coveted goal...YOUR LOVING PRESENCES. LORD, YOUR loving-kindness is mighty over us, and we are ever thankful to YOU. Blessed are YOU and blessed be YOUR HOLY NAME.

Post  Admin Tue 26 Jun 2018, 7:43 pm

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
An intellectual is someone who takes more words than necessary to tell more than he knows.

ALL DAGONS WILL BOW
"Early the next day, the Ashdodites found Dagon fallen and lying face down on the ground before the Ark of the LORD. The head and both hands of Dagon were broken off, lying on the threshold; only the torso of Dagon was left intact." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the Philistines took the Ark of GOD and brought it from Ebenezer (means: stone of help) to Ashdod (denotes: aggressor, enemy, ravager) they brought the Ark into the Temple of Dagon and set it by that heathen idol. Subsequently, when they arose early the next morning. . . there was Dagon. . . fallen on its face to the earth before the Ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. [1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 5. 1 - 3] To the people's dreaded shock and dismay, they again found the dead idol face-down before the Ark of the MIGHTY ONE. This time, it's head and hands broken off — demonstrating his worthlessness. When the men of Ashdod saw how matters stood, they said, "The Ark of the GOD OF ISRAEL must not remain with us, for HIS hand has dealt harshly with us and with our god, Dagon." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

How very foolish people are to turn to make-believe, imaginary gods and idol's made with their own hands. For all the false gods (Moslem's Allah, Buddhist's Buddha, Mormon's Maroni, Watch Tower Cult, statues, images & idols of so-called gods, sports figures, movie stars, nature worshipers, etc.) will also prove to be just as useless as Dagon and will fall before the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL. They all will stoop and bow down. They cannot release or rescue anyone from his burden and they themselves must be carried. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 46. 1 - 2]

The first commandment of the TRUE & LIVING CREATOR was: "You shall have no other gods besides ME." Furthermore, "You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your GOD am a JEALOUS, IMPASSIONED GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Torah] Later HE admonished the people, "You must tear down and destroy their altars, smash their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images and the sacred posts; for you must not worship any other god, because the LORD, WHOSE NAME is QANNA (jealous, impassioned), is a JEALOUS GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 34. 13 - 15 Tanakh, Torah]

The HOLY SCRIPTURES are peppered with warnings — "Turn to ME and gain success, all the ends of earth! For I am GOD, and there is none else. By MYSELF have I sworn; from MY mouth has issued truth, a word that shall not turn back: to ME every knee shall bow, every tongue swear loyalty." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Torah] It is also written — "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD. So then each of us shall give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 11 - 12] "Therefore GOD also has highly exalted HIM and given HIM the NAME which is above every name, that at the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, to the glory of GOD THE FATHER." [Philippians 2. 9 - 11]

Oh come and see that the LORD is good! Bow your knee and your heart before the GREAT GOD OF THE UNIVERSE willingly, now before it is too late. Turn to the KING ETERNAL, HE alone has the power and ability to save us all from certain and imminent eternal torment.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
With great love YOU have loved us, O our GOD, and with exceeding compassion YOU have borne with us. Our fathers believed and trusted in YOU; therefore you taught them the laws of life, and showed them the ways of wisdom. We implore YOU, O MERCIFUL FATHER, to grant us discernment, that we may understand and fulfill all the TEACHINGS of YOUR WORD. Make us gladly obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and reverence for YOU. In YOU we put our trust; we rejoice and delight in YOUR help, for with YOU alone is salvation, and peace in the soul of man. YOU have called us as teachers of YOUR Law; YOU have chosen us for a holy mission to mankind; therefore do we joyfully lift up our voices and proclaim YOUR magnificence. Praised are YOU, O GOD, WHO has chosen us in love. We give praise to YOUR HOLY NAME and thank YOU for Y’SHUA, our BLESSED REDEEMER.

Post  Admin Mon 25 Jun 2018, 8:27 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"I don’t speak because I have the power to speak; I speak because I don’t have the power to remain silent." [Rabbi A.Y. Kook] The quote exemplifies the depth of love everyone needs to feel for others. One has no choice but to speak. Caring for others cuts to the core of who we are and our need to reach a point that is so deep it is impossible not to say or do something.

LIKE A THIEF
"The DAY OF THE LORD will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the DAY OF GOD, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?" [2 Peter 3. 10 - 12]

As you might expect, there is usually a clamor of interest in SCRIPTURAL prophecy following great catastrophes, afflictions, wars, etc. with many predictions about the immediate return of the LORD Y’SHUA. "For you yourselves know perfectly that the DAY OF THE LORD so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief." [1 Thessalonians 5. 2 - 4]

This text follows the glorious description of the rapture (catching away in Chapter 4) of believers who are found worthy to escape the wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD, those who will meet the BELOVED SAVIOR in the air. However, HIS coming may not be at a time of danger, but rather one of "peace and safety!" A time when the ungodly world and all its accomplices will be boasting proudly of their new-world-order where they deceivingly declare that they have established worldwide security. "You men, how long will MY glory be mocked and shamed by you? How long will you love worthless illusions and recourse to frauds?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 4. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Why do the nations rage, and peoples plot vain things? The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against HIS ANOINTED." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This GOD-denying, GOD-rejecting, GOD-detesting self-centered, egotistical and arrogant system will be built entirely on a false foundation of evolutionary humanism, communism, and the merger of world religions

The excitement accompanying such false security will even lull many who call themselves CHRISTians into a sense of complacency. On the subject of HIS return, the LORD Y’SHUA warned — "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the SON, but only the FATHER. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." [Mark 13. 32 - 33] HIS coming will be just like the thief who comes at night, at an hour when even those who should be alert and watching may fall asleep. "Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is." [Mark 13. 33] In the OLD COVENANT, the LORD GOD also had counseled to not be complacent, "lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard from the LORD GOD OF HOSTS, a destruction determined even upon the whole earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 28. 22 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Watchfulness does not mean idleness, we are to "occupy (faithfully continue serving) until I come." [Luke 19. 13] "Blessed is that servant whom his MASTER will find so doing when HE comes." [Luke 12. 43] Let us consider our ways and be found diligently watching.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We sing sweet praises to YOUR NAME, O LORD for YOU are a gracious and merciful GOD and KING. We longingly wait for the day when all shall see and be glad, when the just and upright exult, and the devout triumphantly rejoice, for iniquity shall shut it’s mouth and all wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke. For YOU will make the dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth and righteousness will dwell evermore.
You are holy, and awesome is YOUR NAME, there is no god besides YOU. YOU, LORD GOD OF HOSTS are exalted in judgment and sanctified in righteousness.. Blessed are YOU, MOST HOLY LORD, our KING.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
All creation testifies to the fact that history is not random, the universe is not concealed from our understanding, and that what happens to us is not blind chance. We ask, not because we doubt, but because we believe in the MOST HIGH CREATOR GOD and that HE not only hears, but is faithful to answer.

FEAR NO MORE
"When I am afraid, I trust in YOU. In GOD, WHOSE WORD I praise, in GOD I have put my trust; I will not fear." [Psalms (Tehillym) 55. 3 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The first mention of fear in HOLY SCRIPTURE is significant, Adam said to ELOHIYM, "I heard YOUR VOICE in the Garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 10 Tanakh, Torah] Absolutely, one should be afraid when he has ignored or rejected GOD’S WORD, for "it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the LIVING GOD." [Hebrews 10. 31]

For sinners of all ages, the same warning is given in the final reference to fear (mentioned first): "the fearful (cowardly), unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the Lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." [Revelation 21. 8]

Notice the last mention of fear in the OLD COVENANT and the first in the NEW, as a contrast however, for both are speaking of the entrance of the SON OF GOD into the world. "But to you who fear MY NAME, the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall arise with healing in HIS wings. You shall go forth and grow fat like stall-fed calves, and you shall trample the wicked to a pulp, for they shall be ashes beneath your feet on the day that I am preparing — said the LORD OF HOSTS." [Malachi (Malakhi) 4. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "Do not be afraid to take to you Miryam (Mary) your wife, for THAT which is conceived in her is of the HOLY SPIRIT. And she will bring forth a SON, and you shall call HIS NAME Y’SHUA, for HE will save HIS people from their sins." [Matthew 1. 20 - 21]

The remedy for fear of man or all else is to fear of the LORD. "I sought the LORD, and HE heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The LORD is on my side, I will not fear; what can man do to me? With the LORD on my side as my HELPER, I shall see the downfall of those who hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man; it is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 6 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Y’ESHUA ha'MASHIACH already has endured everything we could ever fear, even death itself, so that through HIS victorious resurrection conquering sin and death, HE might "release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." [Hebrews 2. 15]

In view of the fact that "in the time of trouble HE will shelter me in HIS pavilion, in the secret place of HIS Tabernacle HE shall hide me; HE shall set me high upon a rock." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] And, with secure assurance I will confidently declare that "the LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the STRENGTH of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] So, "wait on the LORD; be strong and of good courage! And HE shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Therefore, I will look to the LORD and on the BELOVED ONE I shall wait.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout each day so they are filled with love and unselfishness - that happiness and contentment may abide in our homes. In tranquil joy of spirit, with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory!"
Eternal is YOUR power, O my LORD, YOU are mighty to save. In lovingkindness YOU sustain the living; in the multitude of YOUR mercies YOU preserve all. YOU uphold the falling and heal the sick, free the captive, and keep faith with YOUR children in death as in life. Who is like YOU, ALMIGHTY GOD, AUTHOR of life and death, SOURCE of salvation? Truly there is none! So we praise YOU, O LORD, WHO has implanted within us eternal life and give YOU praise, honor, glory and our heart-felt thanks for YOUR exemplified love and kindness. Amen!
"Tov Shavua (Have a good week)!" You are in our hearts and daily prayers!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Careless shepherds make many a feast for the wolf.

WHICH YOKE TO WEAR
"The yoke of my offenses is bound fast, lashed tight and woven by HIS hand; imposed upon my neck, it saps my strength. The LORD has delivered me into the hands of those I cannot withstand." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 1. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The unsaved person wears a yoke of sin. The religious legalist wears a yoke of bondage and is encouraged to "stand fast" so not to become entangled into sin again. [Galatians 5. 1] A follower of CHRIST, who depends on the grace of GOD MOST HIGH, wears the liberating yoke of the LORD Y’SHUA. [Matthew 1. 29 - 30]

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?" [2 Corinthians 6. 14 - 15] This text is precise and specifically plain regarding the doctrine of Christian separation from unbelievers. The believer should completely avoid evil teachings and errors or their practices; they should also turn away from all association with those who do such things; and they should never enter into a binding relationship of any kind with non-Christians.

The unequally yoked involves the actual fellowship, communion, and physical union with unbelievers. This is actually forbidden by Law, for how "can two walk together without being in agreement?" [Amos (Amus) 3. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This clearly includes marriage, business partnership, or other formal bonds with individuals. Those who do not believe in MESSIAH Y’SHUA, are either knowingly or unknowingly affected by pagan beliefs or practices. "Therefore, if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But GOD has called us to peace." [1 Corinthians 7. 15] Instead of such an unbalanced, deranged yoke, we should be joined only to the Lord Y’shua ha'Mashiach and associate with His like-minded followers, for JESUS said — "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." [Matthew 11. 30] Perfect are all His ways.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath! Sabbath of Chukat – “Statute” [Reading: Numbers 19:1 - 22:1; Judges 11:1-33; John 19:38-42]
For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honor and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GREAT GOD! When the invisible hand of our MAGNIFICENTLY WONDERFUL OMNIPOTENT GOD guides our lives and we are more then blessed, as we live each moment for HIS glory and praise. Be enveloped in HIS riches this Sabbath in peace and harmony as you glorify and praise our MIGHTY KING.
Magnified and sanctified be the GLORIOUS NAME of the HOLY ONE in the world which HE created according to HIS will.
MODEH ANI: Modeh ani lefanecha Melech chai v’kayom shehechezarta bee neshmati b’chemia rabb emunasecha. — “Thankful am I before YOU, LIVING & ETERNAL KING, that YOU have returned my soul within me with compassion; abundant is YOUR faithfulness.”
May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL bless you abundantly. May HIS Kingdom be establish speedily during our life and during our days, and during the life of all the House of Israel. Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The only reason some people listen to reason is to gain time for rebuttal.

SUN-SHIELD-GRACE-GLORY
"For the LORD GOD is SUN ("SHEMESH") and SHIELD ("MAGEN"); the LORD bestows grace and glory; HE does not withhold HIS bounty from those who walk without blame." [Psalms (Tehillym) 84. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In the innumerable mercies of our RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD, HE will not forsake us in our wilderness journey, nor will HE depart from us day or night. HE has sent us HIS HOLY SPIRIT to instruct us and never withholds any good thing from us that HE may give us according to the riches of HIS glory to strengthen us. "And my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS." [Philippians 4. 19]

"But to you who revere MY NAME the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS ("SHEMESH TSEDEQ") shall rise with healing in HIS Wings." [Malachi (Malakhi) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This prophecy was completed in Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem (wings/fringe on the Prayer Shawl/Tallit) of the LORD'S garment for healing, it was immediately granted to her.

"Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and attain knowledge of GOD. For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS decree. HE reserves sound wisdom for the upright and is a SHIELD for those who live blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice, protecting the way of HIS saints. You will then understand what is right, just, equitable — every good path." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 5 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"And the WORD became FLESH and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the FATHER, full of grace and truth.." [John 1. 14] We have been justified by faith in the LORD Y’SHUA, "to the praise of the glory of HIS grace, by which HE has made us accepted in the BELOVED." [Ephesians 1. 6]

"Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; HIS greatness cannot be fathomed. The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in kindness. The LORD is good to all, and HIS mercy is upon all HIS works. HE fulfills the wishes of those who fear HIM; HE hears their cry and delivers them. The LORD watches over all who love HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 145. 3, 8 - 9, 19 - 20 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Knowing this, we can be confident and completely content in perfect peace, even in this world of havoc and turmoil.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We give praised to YOUR HOLY NAME and thank YOU for Y’SHUA, our BELOVED REDEEMER.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 12 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When the out-look is destitute, try the UP-look.

DECEIT DESTROYED
"For YOU are not a GOD (EL) wHO desires wickedness; evil cannot abide with YOU; wanton men cannot endure in YOUR sight. YOU detest all evildoers; YOU destroy those who speak lies; murderous, deceitful men the LORD abhors." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word "mirmah" literally means false, guile, subtle, treachery, fraud, deceitful. The ALMIGHTY ONE is JUST & HOLY and HE hates deceit in all forms. HIS justice demands punishment for whoever will not accept HIS merciful sacrifice for sin. Deceivers are good for nothing, like salt that has lost its savor. The LORD GOD has no pleasure in this type of person.

The evil and the wicked "cannot abide with YOU." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The word abide or dwell can also be translated as to stand in awe. "Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in dread (awe, trepidation, fear) of HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This is the only acceptable response to the LORD GOD, CREATOR of heaven and earth. Those who have received the LOVING CREATOR'S merciful grace can but bow in humble gratitude in the majestic PRESENCE of his RIGHTEOUS MAKER. The wicked and evil person has no intimate relationship with the BLESSED REDEEMER, but one day to HIM — "every knee shall bow." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The boastful shall not stand in YOUR sight; YOU hate all workers of iniquity." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] A fool rages and boasts of his own deeds, but he will not have any standing before OMNIPOTENT GOD WHOSE justice requires one-hundred percent holiness. And for those who work iniquity either systematically or habitually, the LORD pronounces HIS justice on these religious pretenders. HE will say to them, "I do not know you depart from ME, all you workers of iniquity." And, "there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." [Luke 13. 27 - 28]

The BIBLICALLY described hatred has no room for personalities. A hateful person is the same as one who opposes the LORD OF GLORY. To hate the HIGH & LOFTY MERCIFUL CREATOR is to be HIS enemy; and to hate TRUE & LIVING GOD is to find oneself outside HIS mercy. But all who fear HIS NAME can say — "I, through YOUR abundant love and mercy, will come into YOUR House; I bow down in awe and worship toward YOUR Holy Temple." [Psalms (Tehillym) 5. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] On the other hand, "there shall by no means enter it (the New Heaven & Earth) anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE." [Revelation 21. 27] "And you shall know that I, the LORD your GOD (YEHOWAH ELOHEYKM), dwell in Zion, MY Holy Mount. Then Jerusalem shall be holy; nevermore shall strangers pass through her again." [Joel (Yoel) 3. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im] More and more, I long for the righteousness of MESSIAH Y’SHUA, my BELOVED REDEEMER.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile (deceit). Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when woe bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trials and temptations and to be humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER. Guide me by the LIGHT of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU — my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Praised be the LORD GOD ETERNAL to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. Amen!
To have hope that is certain and faith that is sure, we must spend some time daily in GOD’S WORD to us so we can learn, understand and be firmly grounded in what HE has to teach us. How can we follow someone we don’t truly know and trust? We must read to know because the ONLY SOURCE OF TRUTH is what is written.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The first duty of love is to listen.

CHOOSE LIFE
"I call heaven and earth to witnesses against you this day: I have put before you life and death, blessing and curse, CHOOSE LIFE — if you and your descendants would live — by loving the LORD your GOD, obeying HIS VOICE, and holding fast to HIM. For thereby you shall have life and shall long endure upon the soil that the LORD your GOD swore to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give to them." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 19 - 20 Tanakh, Torah]

Just before his death, Moses reiterate the Law and the Covenant between the ALMIGHTY ONE and HIS people which is summed up in the greatest commandment:  "You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 5 Tanakh, Torah]

Moses also declared "surely, this INSTRUCTION which I enjoin upon you today is not too baffling for you, nor is it beyond reach. It is not in heaven, that you should say — Who among us can go up to the heavens and get it for us and impart it to us, that we may observe it? — Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say — Who among us can cross to the other side of the sea and get it for us and impart it to us, that we may observe it?" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 11 - 13 Tanakh, Torah]  There is nothing concerning this commandment that was hard to understand.  "No, the WORD is very close to you, in your mouth and in your heart, to observe and do it." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 14 Tanakh, Torah]

Furthermore Moses instructed, "Take this BOOK OF TEACHING and place it beside the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your GOD, and let it remain there as a witness against you. Well I know how defiant, rebellious and stiff-necked you are; even now, while I am still alive in your midst, you have been defiant toward the LORD; how much more, then, when I am dead! Gather to me all the elders of your tribes and your officials, that I may] speak these words to them and that I may call heaven and earth to witness against them." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 31. 26 - 28 Tanakh, Torah

The significant evidence that CREATOR GOD is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, GREAT PROVIDER & LOVING SAVIOR-REDEEMER is all around us.  We have more than enough information to respond to HIS calling.  These evidences, "HIS invisible attributes are clearly seen" and were "since the creation of the world, even HIS eternal power and GODHEAD" so those who reject are absolutely "without excuse." [Romans 1. 20]   To ignore the evidence of the creation and the flood, one must be "willingly ignorant." [2 Peter 3. 5]   Refusing or denying such clear evidence  is foolishness, which is a form of idolatry!

Even now, the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA is calling, "See, I set before you this day life and prosperity, death and adversity." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 15 Tanakh, Torah]   The choice is between receiving a "blessing" or a "curse." [vs. 16, 18]   All reasonable and mindful logic points to ALL-POWERFUL LORD GOD of the SACRED WRITTEN WORD being the only ONE TRUE GOD.  Therefore, "Choose Life! — if you and your offspring would live — by loving the LORD your GOD, heeding HIS COMMANDS, and holding fast to HIM. For thereby you shall have life, for HE is your LIFE." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30. 20 Tanakh, Torah]  In LORD Y’SHUA, the absolute best is yet to be!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
YOU, O FATHER and KING, the SOURCE of all blessings, we enter into YOUR gates with thanksgiving, and into YOUR courts with praise. We bless YOUR HOLY NAME from everlasting to everlasting. Teach us to seek YOU ever more within the sanctuary of our souls, to worship YOU in sincerity and truth.  We declare our love to YOU — and thank YOU for being our LOVING REDEEMER.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Blessings can only sprout from a foundation of peace.

FATHER’S, A MARK OF DISTINCTION
"Honor your father and mother" — which is the first commandment with promise — "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth." [Ephesians 6. 2 - 3]

This worldly society, whose influence is growing and will prove deadly if it continues to grow, has been trying to get ALMIGHTY GOD’S Ten Commandments [Exodus/Bereshith 20:3-17] purged from public life and recognition even to the point of re-writing history and outlawing religious rights. However, historians and honest jurists know that they are the very foundation of the American legal system.

The two tablets of the Law deal first with our responsibilities under ALMIGHTY GOD, these are the first four commands. Then the following six deals with our responsibilities to our fellow man. The sixth commandment stresses the vital importance of parents in the life of each generation of young people. Not only was this commandment placed ahead of those against murder, adultery, and robbery, but it was the only one specifically promising a blessing for obedience; "that you may long endure on the land that the LORD ELOHEY is giving to you." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 12 Tanakh, Torah]

Today, as never before, there is a serious generation gap, a cosmic chasm-sized division between the interests and standards of parents and their children, even among CHRISTian families, and this is a tragedy. "Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the LORD." [Colossians 3. 20] Here the Greek word, teknon, applies to children of any age.

Fathers also have a great responsibility. They are commanded to see that their instructions are soundly SCRIPTURALLY and spiritually motivated. "Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged." [Colossians 3. 21] "Do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the LORD." [Ephesians 6. 4] This implies that the father is involved at home and is being maturely dependable and accountable in his role of a loving, neutering, selfless Dad. Then the promise of our INCREDIBLY AMAZING HEAVENLY FATHER will come to pass that "the glory of children is their parents." [Proverbs (Mishle) 17. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath at the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them a Good Week.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
The loving father is a complex pastiche (take-off, imitation) for whom morality, ethics and trust is often taught by example. Responsibility is unquestioning. Love and protection is without qualification. To a GOD-fearing father principles aren’t merely guidelines, they are living values.. Many father’s are dreamers who hope, plan and work for our best; and they are such gentle, loving guides. Thanking each of you for being so devoted to your family! May the GREAT HEAVENLY FATHER bless and reward you.
May the sweetness of Sabbath be felt all through your week!

Post  Admin Sat 16 Jun 2018, 1:54 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Cynicism (pessimism) is idealism (optimism) gone sour.

MESSIAH IN THE OLD COVENANT
"Let me tell of the decree: the LORD said to me — YOU are MY SON, I have fathered YOU this day." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There are many monotheists today (specifically Muslims, Watchtower Cultists, Jews and liberal CHRISTians) who believe in one SUPREME GOD, but reject the deity of MESSIAH Y’SHUA. They argue that the doctrine that Y’SHUA was the unique SON OF THE MIGHTY GOD OF ISRAEL was invented by the early CHRIST-ians and that the GOD of the OLD COVENANT had no SON. Orthodox Jews, in particular emphasize the Shema: "Hear, O Israel — the LORD our GOD, the LORD is one." [Deuteronomy/Devarim 6. 4 ] And the Muslims acknowledge that Allah has no sons, proving the one they worship is not the HIGH & HOLY GOD OF CREATION . And, the Watchtower claims that Y’SHUA is the first creation of GOD - not the CREATOR, most probably Michael.

The fact, however, is that there are numerous verses in the OLD COVENANT that speak to prove that OMNIPOTENT GOD has an ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON: The great promise of SOVEREIGN GOD to David affirms, "I will raise up your offspring after you...I will be a FATHER to HIM, and HE shall be MY SON...before ME YOUR Throne shall be established forever." [2 Samuel (Shemuel Bet) 7. 12, 14, 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Agur asked a rhetorical question: "WHO has ascended into heaven and come down? WHO has gathered the wind in the hollow of HIS hands? WHO has bound the waters in a garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the earth? What is HIS NAME, or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The book of Isaiah is replete with prophecies related to the ANOINTED SON OF GOD MOST HIGH: "Assuredly, my LORD will give you a sign of HIS OWN accord — Look, the virgin (Hebrew: almah— an engaged virgin) shall conceive and bear a SON, and shall call HIS NAME IMMANU'EL (literally meaning: with us is GOD)." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 7. 14] "For a CHILD has been born to us, a SON has been given us. Authority will be upon HIS shoulder. And, HIS NAME will be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. Of the increase of HIS government and limitless peace there will be no end. Upon David's Throne and over HIS Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even evermore. The zeal of the LORD OF HOSTS shall bring this to pass." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Behold! MY SERVANT WHOM I uphold, MY ELECT ONE in WHOM I delight! I have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM; HE will teach the true way to the Gentiles. HE will not cry out, nor raise HIS voice, nor cause HIS voice to be heard in the street. A BRUISED REED, HE shall not break, and SMOKING FLAX, HE will not be snuffed out. HE will bring forth justice for truth. HE will not fail nor be discouraged, till HE has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for HIS Teachings. Thus says GOD THE LORD, WHO created the heavens and stretched them out, WHO spread forth the earth and what it brings forth, WHO gives breath to the people on it and life to those who walk thereon...The LORD goes forth like a MIGHTY MAN; HE shall stir up HIS zeal like a man of war. HE shall cry out; Yes, shout aloud, HE shall prevail against HIS enemies." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 1 – 5, 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Then there is the most definitely marvelous verse regarding Y’SHUA, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD found in the MESSIANIC Psalms which concludes with this exhortation: "Kiss the SON, lest HE be angry and you perish in the way when HIS wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Assuredly, the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the HOLY ONE OF OLD, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, the FIRST-BORN of the MOST HIGH the EXALTED KING of all ages. How truly amazing our GOD is!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Good Sabbath — the rest of love freely given — a rest of truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor.
Shabbos of Korach – “Korah” [Reading: Numbers 16:1 - 18:32; 1 Samuel 11:14 – 12:22; John 19:1-17]
We honor & praise the LORD Y’SHUA, the BLESSED ANOINTED ONE...our prayer for each of you is for the grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST to be with your spirit.
My FATHER of mercies, MY PRAISE, do good in YOUR favor unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem. For in YOU alone do we trust, O KING, high and exalted GOD, LORD of worlds. Rise up, O LORD, and YOUR enemies shall be scattered, and they that hate YOU shall flee before YOU. For out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the WORD OF THE LORD from Jerusalem.
Have a peaceful, enriching Shabbat by blessing others.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's way leads to a hopeless end — GOD'S way leads to an endless hope.

DISCERNING FALSE PROPHETS
"And should you ask yourselves — How can we know that the word was not spoken by the LORD? — IF the prophet speaks in the NAME of the LORD and the oracle does not come true, that oracle was not spoken by the LORD; the prophet has uttered it presumptuously; do not stand in dread (be afraid) of him." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 18. 21 - 22 Tanakh, Torah]

The test a true prophet of the LIVING LORD is to consider what they say.   Do they call everyone to repent of their evil ways and doings and turn wholeheartedly back to ALMIGHTY GOD?  The MOST HOLY ONE said, "IF they had stood in MY counsel, let them announce MY words to MY people, then they would have turned them from their evil ways and from the wicked acts they are doing." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Because they seek to entice you away from the LORD your GOD, the penalty for a false prophet was death.  "Do not assent or give heed to him. Show him no pity or compassion, and do not shield him; but take his life. Let your hand be the first against him to put him to death, and the hand of the rest of the people thereafter. Stone him to death, for he sought to make you stray from the LORD your GOD, WHO brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid, and such evil things will not be done again in your midst." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 9 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   To our shame and ultimate ruin, we have accepted and honored the false teachers instead of following the ALMIGHTY'S commands to destroy evil from among us.  This is bringing GOD'S just wrath upon the whole world.

The testing of a prophet should never be based entirely on his ability to perform signs and wonders; but on the message he speaks.  "If there appears among you a prophet or a dream-diviner and he gives you a sign or a wonder, saying — Let us follow and worship another god — whom you have not experienced — even if the sign or wonder that he named to you comes true, you shall not heed or listen to the words of that prophet or that dream-diviner. For the LORD your GOD is TESTING you to see whether you really love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Torah]

Absolute harmony of the prophet's message and deeds with the revealed WORD OF GOD, and the wholehearted commitment to the HOLY ONE HIMSELF, is an immediate test of a true prophet.  His inward attitude will be expressed and he will walk after the LORD in fear and reverence, keep HIS commandments, and obey HIM — serving the LORD and clinging to HIS promises.  "Follow none but the LORD your GOD, and revere none but HIM; observe HIS commandments alone, and heed only HIS orders; worship none but HIM, and hold fast to HIM." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 13. 5 Tanakh, Torah]   Then, it will be well with our souls.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O EVER-FAITHFUL GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Praised be the LORD GOD to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's true relationship with GOD is shown by his actions as HIS WONDERFUL MESSAGE, the DEAREST TREASURE of the human race, is shared with others and spread throughout the lands.

EXALTED NAME
"Let all those who seek YOU be glad and rejoice in YOU; let those who are eager for YOUR deliverance always say — ELOHIYM be extolled and magnified!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 70. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Unfortunately, we live in a day when people tend to worship heroes, sports idols, or charismatic political and spiritual leaders instead of GOD MOST HIGH. This verse, however honors the LORD GOD in sincerity, and is a terrific one for those who are true followers of the GREATEST HERO, the ONE WHO defeated Satan, the arch-enemy of our soul.

It is a dangerous thing to overly magnify any man or woman and follow them explicitly, for it is CREATOR GOD WHO alone is worthy of our praise, honour and glory.  We should magnify the ETERNAL ONE and HIS WORD.  "The LORD desires righteousness for HIS servants; HE will exalt and magnify and glorify HIS TEACHINGS." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  There are those who, in this Age of Grace, play down the importance of GOD'S Law, but HIS desire and command is for us to magnify it.

In fact, this statement is true of all SCRIPTURE: "YOU have exalted and magnified YOUR NAME, YOUR WORD, above all." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   The NAME and Promises of the MOST HIGH are above all things.  Some accuse BIBLE-believing CHRIST-followers of putting HOLY SCRIPTURES on too high a pedestal, but this is impossible!  We could never magnify GOD'S WORD as much as GOD HIMSELF does.  We, therefore, magnify the LORD when we magnify HIS WORD.  "Let all those who seek YOU rejoice and be glad in YOU; let such as love YOUR salvation say continually — The LORD be magnified!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "May those who desire MY vindication sing forth joyously; may they always say — Magnified and extolled be the LORD WHO desires the well-being of HIS servant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

King David said, "Oh magnify the LORD with me, and let us extol HIS NAME together." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Let the GENTLE SHEPHERD be extravagantly exalted, glorified, praised, and respectfully worshiped.  Joy too wonderful for words will flood your very being!

Oh, the goodness of GOD WHO spreads abroad such loveliness to all the corners of this sin-cursed earth!  What must HE be preparing in heaven for HIS OWN children?  It seems to me that one could not bear more beauty, our capacity must be increased as it will be so much more glorious then imaginable...for we shall be like HIM!  Yet that is the promise, to be like the very CREATOR of beauty.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O INFINITE & MERCIFUL CREATOR , firm in the faith we are emboldened to seek YOUR PRESENCE, and we are assured that we shall find YOU if, with sincere hearts, we seek YOU. As the flowers of the field drink of the dew of heaven and of the radiance of the sun, so would we, lifting our spirits unto YOU, drink of the pure fountains of holiness. In YOU alone our souls rejoice, for YOU are our life and our song. Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
As a house implies a builder, a dress a weaver, a door a carpenter, so the world proclaims GOD, it’s CREATOR.

QUICKENING SPIRIT
"There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written — The first man Adam became a living being. — The LAST ADAM became a LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT." [1 Corinthians 15. 44b - 45]

Paul makes it perfectly clear in this glorious resurrection chapter of Corinthians, that man became a living soul.  Here he is quoting Genesis — "The LORD GOD formed man (Hebrew: ‘adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." [Genesis/Bereshith 2. 7]  Opposing the opinion of many liberal theologians, Adam was not merely a generic term for humanity in general, but this specifically indicates that Adam was "the first man." It also proves false the teaching of a human population on earth (pre-Adamic men) — despite the claims of all those who would compromise with the evolutionists.

Just as there was a first Adam, so MESSIAH Y’SHUA was the LAST ADAM.  HE was not the last man to be born, HE was the second and last man whose body would be directly formed by GOD, as emphasized in the Genesis account.  "That HOLY ONE WHO is to be born" [Luke 1. 35] which Miryam (Mary) received in her womb, was conceived altogether miraculously.  "Therefore, when HE came into the world, HE said — a body YOU have prepared for ME." [Hebrews 10. 5] "The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the SECOND MAN is the LORD from heaven." [1 Corinthians 15. 47] "HE WHO comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. HE WHO comes from heaven is above all." [John 3. 31] "The BREAD OF GOD is HE WHO comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." [John 6. 33]

Thus, having no inherited or generic sin in HIS perfect human body, this LAST ADAM could become "the LAMB OF GOD" WHO’S body was perfect and "without blemish and without spot" able to redeem lost men with HIS "precious blood" that alone can take "away the sin of the world." [John 1. 29; 1 Peter 1. 19]

Moreover, the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA was also "made a QUICKENING SPIRIT" by raising from the dead.  HE was "put to death in the flesh but made alive (quickened) by the SPIRIT" [1 Peter 3. 18], and now gives eternal life to all who receive HIS life.  "For as the FATHER raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the SON gives life to whom HE will." [John 5. 21] Without a doubt, the LORD JESUS is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE, whoever believes in HIM though he may die, will live.  HalleluYAH! what a SAVIOR.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Forever we plead with YOU, O GUARDIAN OF ISRAEL, help us, take notice of our tears; for continually we cry aloud, “Hear O Israel” – take notice, GUARDIAN of the Nations; show all the peoples that YOU are our MERCIFUL KING.  Indeed, we have none other, YOU alone, whose NAME is ONE! Blessed are YOU, WHO in YOUR glory gives life and light to the whole world. For YOUR great goodness and endless mercies, we give thanks, praise, honor and glory.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

WHAT THE LORD TOLERATES
"I wiped out nations: Their corner towers are desolate; I turn their thoroughfares into ruins, with none passing by. Their towns lie waste without people, without inhabitants. And I thought that you would fear ME, receive instruction, and that the punishment I brought would not be lost on you and cut off your vision. Instead, all the more eagerly you have practiced corruption in all your deeds. But wait for ME — says the LORD — for the day when I arise as an ACCUSER; when I decide to gather nations, to bring kingdoms together, to pour out MY indignation on them, all MY blazing anger. Indeed, by the fire of MY passion all the earth shall be consumed." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 3. 6 - 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

ALMIGHTY GOD revealed HIMSELF in the HOLY SCRIPTURES as the UNIQUE MEASURE and the EMBODIMENT OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH.  HE holds the extraordinary position of being CREATOR and SUSTAINER of the heavens and the earth, and all that HE created.  Our GOD is Omnipotent (all powerful), Omniscient (all knowledge) and Omnipresent (everywhere all at once) and HE is altogether righteous.  There is no inconsistency, HE is perfect, holy and just.

When we insist on doing what is right in our own eyes, apart from GOD'S holy standards; tolerate what HE does not tolerate, or fail to tolerate what HE does tolerate, we are sinning.  Sin and iniquity are things the MASTER DESIGNER does not or will not tolerate.  "Your iniquities have been a barrier between you and your GOD, your sins have made HIM turn HIS face away and refuse to hear you. For your hands are defiled with crime and blood and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips speak falsehood, your tongue utters treachery. No one sues justly, nor appeal for truth or pleads honestly. They rely on emptiness and speak falsehood, conceiving wrong and begetting evil." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 59. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Although the LORD OF HOSTS, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL does not tolerate sin, HE is more than tolerant of mankind; HE is compassionate and merciful.  Prophets of old are replete with examples of GOD'S intolerance as well as HIS tolerance.  They carefully spell out the consequences of sin. . . captivity, dispersion, hardship, suffering and death.  They also tell the positive side of serving the LIVING GOD...redemption, renewal, eternal life and heavenly rewards.

The ALMIGHTY ONE not only has the unique right to be intolerant of our sin, but HE provides the "UNIQUE MEANS" to make us righteous.  "THE WAY" has been provided for us to be reconciled to HIM, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have assigned it to you for making expiation for your lives upon the altar; IT IS THE BLOOD, as life, that effects expiation." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah]  Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH. The LORD JESUS said of HIMSELF— "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the FATHER except through ME." [John 14. 6]

Therefore beloved, we should consider what manner of persons we ought to be in holy conduct and godliness, "looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of GOD, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat." [2 Peter 3. 12]

"For GOD did not send HIS SON into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through HIM might be saved. He who believes in HIM is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD." [John 3. 17 - 18]  Only by acknowledging and agreeing with GOD'S intolerance of our sin can we discover that HE is also incredibly merciful and loving in providing MESSIAH Y’SHUA, THE WAY, to have a relationship with us.  In the PERSON of the LORD JESUS, we can see how far ALMIGHTY GOD was willing to go in order for us to be made right.  Thank you LORD JESUS for YOUR cleansing blood.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May your life be a witness and beneficiary of the MOST HIGH GOD'S care, love, and presence. HIS grace is greater then all our needs!
O GOD, do not keep silent; do not hold aloof; do not be quiet, O EL! For YOUR enemies rage, Your foes assert themselves, they plot craftily against YOUR people, take counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say, “Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel’s name will be mentioned no more.”  Deal with them, O my GOD, make them like thistledown, like chaff driven by the wind, as a fire burns a forest, as flames scorch the hills, pursue them with YOUR tempest, terrify them with YOUR storm. Cover their faces with shame so that they seek YOUR NAME, O YEHOWAH. May they be frustrated and terrified, disgraced and doomed forever. May they know that YOUR NAME, YOURS alone is YEHOWAH, the GLORIOUS MASTER over all the earth. [see Psalms/Tehillym 83]
Giving thanks, praise, worship, honor and glory to the HOLY ONE WHO has redeemed us and made us HIS own peculiar people.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The art of Mothering is to teach your children the art of living.

WOMAN OF VALOR
"Strength, splendor, and honor are her clothing; she rejoices cheerfully as she looks to the future." [Proverbs (Mishle) 31. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This testimony notes a vital aspect of the character of the virtuous woman in the last 22 verses of Proverbs 31.  The title in Hebrew is, Aishess Kahyil, Woman of Valor (courage, boldness, heroism), and it is written in an acrostic format.  The author evidently is using all the resources possible to describe a truly valuable model a woman can and should be.

This woman is industrious in providing clothing for her family making "for all her household is dressed in crimson" and her herself "she makes tapestry, her clothing is fine linen and purple" since "she performs her tasks with vigor, she sees that her business thrives; her lamp does not go out by night. She sets with her hand to the distaff (femininity), her fingers work the spindle." [Proverbs 31. 21 – 22 & 18 – 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim] But most important, her spiritual clothing is strength and honor which are even more lovely then the beautiful garments.

In the NEW COVENANT, the Apostle Paul urged "that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works." [1 Timothy 2. 9 - 10]

Similarly, the Apostle Peter exhorts CHRISTian wives not to emphasize their outward appearance. "Do not let your adornment be merely outward — arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel — rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of GOD. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in GOD also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror." [1 Peter 3. 3 - 6]  This compliments the believer, as reflected in OLD COVENANT: "For the LORD takes pleasure in HIS people; HE will adorn the humble with salvation." [Psalms (Tehillym) 149. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "Seek the LORD, all you meek of the land, who have upheld HIS justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 2. 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Thus, the incentive encouragement the HOLY SCRIPTURE gives to all women who follow the LORD Y’SHUA is to be concerned primarily with their spiritual clothing — strength of character, honor, quietness of spirit, and good works.  "Charm (favor, grace, elegance, refinement) is deceitful, beauty is passing (illusory, deceptive, misleading); but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." [Proverbs (Mishle) 31. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The woman of valor is an amazing gift from CREATOR GOD, for they are well equipped with HIS love, equanimity (self-control, composure, level-headed), tolerance (patience, charity, kindness, mercy) and wonder (amazing, sensational, exciting, exhilarating, thrilling), but moreover they fear and honor HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Happy Mother’s Day!  Be sure to honor motherhood and the women who have set an example for you by following the example of Y’SHUA.  Love, encourage, care for, and serve those around you, including those who don’t deserve it.  Follow Y’SHUA’S steps and give your life away for the welfare of others, just as HE did for you. In humility, build something lasting. . .this will result from bonding and commitment to others, but above all ― to the LORD GOD.
Secret of marriage:  Protect her like a daughter, love her like a wife, and respect her like your Mother.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 12 Jesusr10
A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The most harmful and depraved thief is the one who deceives and steals the minds of people.

THIS GENERATION
"Assuredly, I say to you — This generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." [Luke 21. 32 - 33]

The LORD Y’SHUA made this exciting prophetic discourse on the Mount of Olives.  HE had just given HIS disciples the signs they had requested about the signs of HIS return.  Then HE discussed the coming great tribulation and finally HIS glorious return in the clouds of heaven.   And "all these things" were to be fulfilled before "this generation would pass away."

Many question, what generation would that be?  Some claim that it is Jewish people, but that would be most redundant, since many other passages had already promised that the nation of Israel would never pass away… "If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 37 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Hebrew word for generation is "dowr" — meaning age, revolution of time, posterity; and the same word in Greek is "genea" — which also means age, generation, time, nation.  And a similar Greek word, "genos" can either means "stock" or "kind" — but never the word genea.   The Greek word "houtee" (a normative feminine plural) — can mean "this, that, which, who, the same."

Therefore, the generation which MESSIAH Y’SHUA was predicting probably meant the generation that would see the events HE had prophesied.  "when you see all these things, know that it is near — at the doors!" [Matthew 24. 33]  Some of "these things" are:  The world wars — nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; accompanied and followed by earthquakes in various (coasts, counties, fields, grounds, regions, lands) places, pestilences, the Gospel of the Kingdom being preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations; many false christs and false prophets are rising up and showing great signs and wonders that are deceiving even the elect, parents murdering their children and children murdering parents, wrong being viewed as right, and right being outlawed completely by officials in high places; the budding of the fig tree — signifying Israel; and widespread wickedness and spiritual indifferences as in the days of Noah. [see Matthew 24. 7, 14, 24, 32, 37 - 39]

These signs are most accurate and identify the things happening all over the world today warning that the End Times are upon us.  "Forever, O LORD, YOUR WORD is settled in heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   Therefore, it is imperative for us to be diligent (attentive, careful) and alert to recognize the signs of our day, since the BELOVED MESSIAH so strongly stressed HIS disapproval of the leaders and elders failure to know and understand the signs of their day.

The word "this" is a expressive adjective, so the LORD Y’SHUA seems to be referring to "that" generation which sees "these things begin to come to pass." That generation will indeed see "these things begin to come to pass" and this writer believes that "this" is "that" generation.  So to us, the LORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS says — "look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." [Luke 21. 28]

"Therefore you also be ready, for the SON OF MAN is coming at an hour you do not expect." [Matthew 24. 44] Take heed! the time of MESSIAH’S return is near!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout the week.
Help us, O our GOD, to banish from our hearts all pride and vain-glory, all confidence in worldly possessions, all self-sufficient leaning upon our own reason.  Fill us with the spirit of meekness and the grace of modesty, that we may become wise in the fear of YOU. May we never forget that all we have and prize is but lent to us, a trust for which we must render account to YOU.   O HEAVENLY FATHER , put into our hearts the love and fear of YOU, that we my consecrate our lives to YOUR service and glorify YOUR NAME in the eyes of all men.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Tolerance eliminates justice.

AWAKE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS
"Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of GOD. I speak this to your shame." [1 Corinthians 15. 34]
The word “shame” in Greek is "entrope" — meaning turning inward, inversion, turning back, reverse, confusion, confound.  This was used one other time by Paul — "I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?" [1 Corinthians 6. 5]   Evidently this special variety of shame is associated with taking controversies between CHRISTian brethren to worldly judges and also with failing to witness to the unbelieving community.  Instead of bringing the true wisdom of GOD to the ungodly, they were turning to scholarly, world-wise authority to resolve spiritual problems.  Instead, put on the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH "knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep." [Romans 13. 11]  Otherwise, this inverted behavior will produce nothing less than spiritual confusion!

The better known medical term, "entropy" is the same as the Greek word — it is disorder of the body, where the body or system is disintegrating into confusion if left to itself or not attended to properly.  This tendency can only be reversed if an orderly energy is applied to it effectively from a source outside the system.

This gives a striking parallel in the spiritual realm.  A person turning inward to draw on his own powers, or seeking power from an ineffective outside source, will inevitably deteriorate eventually into utter spiritual confusion and death.  But when LOVING SAVIOR enters the life, that person becomes a new creation in the LORD JESUS. "If anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17]

Through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and the LIFE-GIVING SCRIPTURES, "HIS divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world." [2 Peter 1. 3 - 4]

The law of spiritual entropy is transformed into the law of the SPIRIT of life in MESSIAH Y’SHUA.   "For the Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD did by sending HIS OWN SON in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: HE condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the SPIRIT." [Romans 8. 2 - 5]

"Behold, I lay in Zion a STUMBLING STONE and ROCK OF OFFENSE, and whoever believes on HIM will not be put to shame." [Romans 9. 33]  May the glory of the LORD GOD in us never be allowed to be put to shame.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath!  Sabbath of  Behar / Bechukotai – “On Mt. Sinai / In MY Statutes” [Reading: Leviticus 25:1 - 27:34; Jeremiah 16:19 – 17:14; Luke 4:14-22; Matthew 16:20-28]
Those who keep the Sabbath and call it a delight shall rejoice in GOD'S Kingdom. Through the common days flow the refreshing waters of GOD'S lovingkindness, yet we forget THE SOURCE. May this hour awaken within us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us that we may face our daily duty with a firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know that in loving and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU. May the spirit of the Sabbath fill our life with its blessed peace through YOUR PRECIOUS SON, Y’SHUA THE ANOINTED ONE. Amen
Our prayer to the ALMIGHTY ONE for each of you: Osher (happiness), Briut (health), Ahava (love), Shefa (plenty), Tehilla (glory), Shalom (peace), and Bracha (blessing). May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL greatly bless you this Sabbath.
Day 41 of the Omer

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
