George Soros accuses China of ‘threatening the very survival of open societies’

George Soros is beginning to come unraveled.

During a conference in Davos, Switzerland, Soros said that China represents an “unprecedented danger that’s threatening the very survival of open societies.”

The billionaire philanthropist stunned the crowd later when he demanded that the United States aid him in conducting a cold war against the Chinese.

Global Threat
Soros believes the Chinese present the biggest threat to his ideology.

He noted during his speech that he specifically has a problem with the use of a social credit system: a technology that monitors every aspect of every citizen’s life, including texts, phone calls, and emails.

Soros even got the hair on the back of his own supporters’ necks to stand on end when he used the “T” word to describe them: Totalitarian.

The situation in China is so bad, apparently, that Soros even sent a small compliment to the Trump administration. He applauded sanctions being placed on China by the United States.

Asking for Help
But that happy mood did not last long for Soros, as he quickly offset the compliment with a criticism.

Soros said the United States needs to be even tougher against China, and, in essence, asked for a cold war reminiscent of Ronald Reagan’s relationship with the Russians.

“[America’s policy] needs to be far more sophisticated, detailed, and practical,” he said, “and it must include an American economic response to the Belt and Road Initiative.”

He added: “The reality is that we are in a Cold War that threatens to turn into a hot one.”

Soros fully admitted China is not the only country in the world using this type of technology to control its people, but it is by far the wealthiest. As such, it is currently the most dangerous.

It’s funny how Soros is so critical of the United States and its government — until he needs it to serve his own purpose.

Is it possible the influence of George Soros is finally starting to waver?

After a significant push was made by Soros to stop Brexit, the globalist billionaire was handed a massive defeat, as it appears Brexit will move forward.

Are People Waking Up?
Soros has taken a few bumps lately, which is enough to get people to stand up and take notice. One of his biggest defeats in the recent past was the 2016 presidential election.

More than a few people, including this author, believe that had Hillary won, Soros would have been the one pulling the strings in the White House.

Many of Hillary’s platform issues were near and dear to Soros’ heart. With the amount of money he pumped into not only her campaign but also the campaigns of her fellow Democrats running for office, the fact that Trump won was a crushing blow.

Now, he has to deal with the fact Brexit is actually going to move forward in the U.K.

Fear Mongering
In an effort to stop the movement that seeks more freedom for its people, Soros has resorted to threatening and invoking fear.

Soros recently stated, “Europe is sleepwalking into oblivion, and the people of Europe need to wake up before it is too late.”

He added, “If they don’t, the European Union will go the way of the Soviet Union in 1991.”

Soros likes to attack the very foundations of a country by calling them antiquated. He has done that in Europe just as he has done it here in the United States.

Make no mistake about it, Soros has gotten rich pushing his open society beliefs on people. That is why he is so frustrated over Brexit and Trump.

We may finally be seeing a crack in Soros’ influential power around the world.

The leadership of Hungary is taking sides, and it is not good for billionaire philanthropist George Soros.

In recent months, the U.S. has taken a harsher stance against Russia, something Soros wants to see — but apparently, that is not to the liking of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Open Society Nightmare
Hungary’s current leadership despises George Soros — and there’s no question about that.

Soros’ idea of an “open society” utopia simply doesn’t appeal to Orban, who runs Soros’ home country.

Indeed, Orban is a firm believer in establishing borders and limiting immigration — something to which Soros is vehemently opposed.

The anchor of his open society theory is that everyone should be included and borders should be open for all to come and go as they please.

But as has been proven in the past, that philosophy leads to the eventual need for a socialist government, which most believe is Soros’ endgame for the United States and other countries he meddles in, like Hungary.

It’s A Trap
But it looks like immigration isn’t the only thing Soros and Hungary’s leader don’t agree on.

Due to new challenges between the United States and Russia, the U.S. has put some obstacles in front of Russia regarding its pipeline projects. For his part, Soros wants more of these sanctions and tariffs, but Hungary leadership is opposed to them.

Meanwhile, there seems to be a budding relationship between China and Hungary.

According to reports, Hungary is seeking the help of the Chinese to establish an advanced information structure.

This has led to Orban taking a more neutral stance with countries that are at the top of Soros’ hitlist — including Russia. But while Orban claims that he wants his country to be the next Switzerland — neutral and peaceful — the Hungary leader seems to be falling into bed with all the wrong people.

Liberal billionaire George Soros recently turned some heads when he made statements eerily similar to those made by President Donald Trump.

While attending a private event at the World Economic Forum, Soros blasted China, calling China and President Xi Jinping the largest threat Americans are facing today.

More Tariffs
While the Trump administration appeared to have a great relationship with China at first, that soon ended.

Once China started to manipulate North Korea, it became quite apparent that Trump was going to have deal with the communist nation in a sterner manner.

Trump soon slapped the nation with massive tariffs.

Trump and Xi then went back and forth strong-arming each other until the two leaders came to an agreement to suspend tariffs for a short period of time in an effort to get a new deal worked out.

The mainstream media hasn’t reported any new developments in the negotiations in recent weeks, but with Soros’ recent comments, the issue is back in the headlines again.

Common Enemy
Will the old adage, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” ring true in this case?

Probably not, as Trump and Soros are still very far apart in their beliefs.

While they both see China as a threat, it for far different reasons.

Soros promotes an open society, mostly because he knows he can pull the strings with his wealth and influence.

Trump sees the country as a threat to American capitalism and manufacturing.

It became even more apparent that these two are likely to never see eye to eye as Soros continued his comments later at the dinner event, where he was critical of the president.

“Instead of letting ZTE and Huawei off lightly, it needs to crack down on them,” Soros said. “Regrettably, President Trump seems to be following a different course: make concessions to China and declare victory while renewing his attacks on U.S. allies.”

Soros added: This is liable to undermine the U.S. policy objective of curbing China’s abuses and excesses.”

Soros’ comments come while Trump has made it quite clear he will not stand for China’s tactics as well as what are believed to be monitoring efforts outside the borders of the country.

ACLU, Soros-funded orgs demand Big Tech keep facial recognition software away from government

Big tech has recently bloomed into an unchecked political force, censoring conservative voices and opposing White House reforms in pursuit of a far-left, progressive agenda, and reaping huge profits along the way. Now, however, Silicon Valley faces an unexpected problem — a coalition of leftist activist groups who are demanding that tech giants Google, Amazon, and Microsoft not sell facial recognition technology to the U.S. government.

At least nine George Soros-funded nonprofits have teamed up with the ACLU and 85 other activist groups to demand an embargo against selling the highly advanced technology to American law enforcement, arguing that it could be used for discriminatory purposes against “immigrants and communities of color.”

Fears of exploitation
ACLU Technology and Civil Liberties Director Nicole Ozer explained the coalition’s position. “History has clearly taught us that the government will exploit technologies like face surveillance to target communities of color, religious minorities, and immigrants,” she said.

The movement started after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos met with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to discuss the sale of his company’s “face surveillance product.”

Responding to this meeting, ACLU Senior Legislative Counsel Neema Singh Guliani wrote that “the use of biometrics in this way has fueled the current mass detention and deportation efforts, which terrorize immigrant communities throughout the country, resulting in countless errors, deportations without due process, and increased racial profiling.”

A recent Facebook trend demonstrates some of the fears that people share of Big Tech using personal photos for odious purposes. Users have been sharing “then and now” selfies separated by ten years to share how they have aged with friends and family. Some social media users contend that the before-and-after images make it easier for Big Tech to engage in social engineering projects. Of course, these fears are largely overblown — Facebook already has access to these photos.

Rekognition
Facial recognition technology can be a valuable tool for law enforcement. In fact, Rekognition, Amazon’s facial surveillance technology, is already being used in several states to track mugshots and respond to Amber and Silver alerts — or missing person cases involving children and the elderly.

These products can also play an integral role in identifying the victims and perpetrators of human trafficking. In 2018, The Global Slavery Index found that “on any given day in 2016 there were 403,000 people living in conditions of modern slavery in the United States, a prevalence of 1.3 victims of modern slavery for every thousand in the country.”

Soros influence
Soros’s influence on social justice groups like the ACLU is unmistakable. He recently gifted the civil rights organization with a $50 million grant “to end mass incarceration.”

Nine Soros-funded nonprofits are involved in the effort to put pressure on Silicon Valley, including 18MillionRising.org, American Friends Service Committee, Arab American Institute, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Asian Law Caucus, Color of Change, Free Press, Make the Road New York and Partnership for Working Families.

So far, their efforts have had middling results. Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently announced that his company will not sell a face recognition software until “the dangers are addressed.”

But while Microsoft President Brad Smith admitted that the Seattle-based software giant was aware of the dangers of face surveillance technology, neither he nor Amazon’s CEO have announced plans to curtail the sale of their products.

Soros funding tied to Democratic ‘false flag’ operation targeting Roy Moore

The cyber-security group behind a “false flag” disinformation campaign that targeted Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore has ties to an organization partially funded by progressive billionaire George Soros, according to the Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross.

The Soros-funded Democracy Integrity Project recently joined up with New Knowledge, the Austin, Texas, social media firm that created fake social media accounts and twitter bots to mislead voters about Moore and link him with Russia.

The Democracy Integrity Project also has ties to Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that created the infamous Russia-Trump dossier.
Soros-linked Alabama “false flag”
The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP) partnered with New Knowledge before the 2018 midterm elections to track Russian disinformation efforts. Both groups are linked with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, which is investigating Russian election interference and alleged collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia.

New Knowledge and TDIP collaborated on a website to track Russian disinformation in the midterms, Disinfo2018.com. According to the Daily Caller, the site is similar to Hamilton 68, another dashboard project to track Russian disinformation which New Knowledge’s founder, Jonathon Morgan, worked on.

At the request of the Senate committee, New Knowledge drafted a report on Russian interference, “The Tactics and Tropes of the Internet Research Agency,” which refers to a Russian “troll farm” indicted by Robert Mueller for election interference. According to the Daily Caller, the committee provided New Knowledge with data from social media companies to help the investigation, but the committee denied ever paying New Knowledge for its research and said it doesn’t endorse its findings.

Morgan has frequently warned about Russian disinformation efforts in media appearances. He claimed that Russians were behind last year’s #ReleaseTheMemo campaign, which called for the disclosure of a House Republican document that alleged FISA spy abuses by the Justice Department, the Daily Caller noted.

The Senate panel also told the Daily Caller that it never hired the TDIP for any work. But the group’s founder, Dan Jones, a former staffer of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), was in contact with at least two Democrats on the panel, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and one other unidentified Democrat, in 2017.

According to an April 2018 House Select Committee on Permanent Intelligence report from its investigation into Russian meddling, Jones told the FBI in March of 2017 that his group hired Fusion GPS to continue its opposition research into President Trump and his alleged links to Russia, which Fusion GPS contractor and British ex-spy Christopher Steele described in the now-infamous Trump-Russia dossier that was partially funded by the Clinton campaign.

Jones said his group was paid $50 million by wealthy progressives to continue its independent Trump-Russia investigation, and an attorney connected to Jones told the Daily Caller that Soros was one of the donors.

False flag operation
Ironically, New Knowledge was recently exposed for attempting to influence Moore’s campaign using tactics evocative of the Russian disinformation efforts they supposedly researched on the Senate’s behalf with the aim of stopping election interference.

A New York Times report revealed in December that New Knowledge was behind a Democrat-organized effort to connect Moore with Russia by creating thousands of fake Russian bots and misleading social media pages. A Silicon Valley billionaire, LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, donated $750,000 to New Knowledge through the group American Engagement Technologies, which was founded by former Obama appointee Mikey Dickerson. $100,000 of that money went towards the false flag campaign, known as Project Birmingham. Hoffman apologized and denied knowing that his money was being used for a shady social media campaign.

The Washington Post claimed that New Knowledge authored a document on Project Birmingham, but Morgan denied knowledge of the brief or much of the project, which he downplayed as an “experiment” meant to study Russian disinformation methods, not affect the outcome of the election. Dickerson also claimed that the 12-page report exists, contradicting Morgan. While Moore’s loss has been attributed to sexual assault allegations against him, the Russia smear worked and national news outlets amplified the “experiment,” which made it look like Moore had connections with the Kremlin.

Moore was outraged by the “false flag” reports and called for an investigation into the project, which is being conducted by the state’s attorney general. Besides Dickerson, whose group funneled the money for Project Birmingham to New Knowledge, another Obama affiliate, Evan Coren, was allegedly involved with a separate, second Democrat-led false flag operation.

That campaign, known as Dry Alabama, created the misleading impression that Moore was supported by a fake teetotaling group to scare away pro-business Republican voters.

Clinton-linked, Soros-funded group raising funds to challenge ‘racist’ wall

Twice-failed presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is teaming up with a powerful Democratic ally to spread disinformation about the GOP’s proposed wall along the southern U.S. border. Demand Justice, a “social welfare organization” founded by Clinton loyalists and funded by radical billionaire philanthropist George Soros, is soliciting donors to resist President Donald Trump’s “racist, unnecessary wall.”

Show me the money!
Clinton’s nonprofit is positioning itself to take legal action in the event that the president declares a state of emergency and directs national security funds towards constructing the wall. In a coordinated email drive, the anti-Trump group demanded more than justice from its supporters, asking them to “Give $5 now” to prepare for future court battles:

If Trump takes this unprecedented action, it WILL be challenged in the courts. This is why we fight. Give $5 now.

We won’t allow Trump to hold our country hostage with his fearmongering and scare tactics. The courts may be our last line of defense against Trump’s authoritarian impulses and now is the time to show him we won’t stand down. Give $5 now to help us fight back.

Demand Justice is projecting, accusing the Trump administration of using the very tactics it employs to persuade Democrats to donate to their cause. Ironically, in the same breath that the nonprofit denounces Trump as a rabble-rouser, it engages in the exact same behavior by warning donors that the president is some sort of out-of-control dictator,

Besides, Trump can hardly be called a fearmonger for pursuing policies which the last two Democratic presidents supported during their own terms. Even Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), whose refusal to fund a small portion of the GOP’s wall has kept parts of the federal government closed for three weeks, enthusiastically supported the Secure Fence Act of 2006, establishing hundreds of miles of technologically-advanced barrier on the southern border. “They changed their mind only after I was elected president,” Trump said during his Oval Office address on Tuesday.

Yet, as Demand Justice’s latest fundraiser demonstrates, the left’s overwhelming hatred for the current president has overwhelmed their ability to properly reason. “This lawless president has created a humanitarian crisis along the southern border of our country by targeting asylum seekers; already, two children have died in U.S. border patrol custody,” the charity wrote in an email soliciting donations.  

But where was this selective outrage during the Obama administration? Eighteen migrants died in border patrol custody during the Obama administration, and the Clinton State Department was deadly silent.

Smear campaign
This isn’t the first time that Demand Justice, which was only founded a year ago, has stood in the way of Trump’s agenda. It took less than an hour after Trump officially announced Brett Kavanaugh as his second Supreme Court nominee for Clinton’s Demand Justice henchmen to spring into action and create a “stopkavanaugh.com” webpage.

“We need to demand that the Senate defeat the Brett Kavanaugh nomination,” the organization said at the time. They ended up raising $10 million in 2018, and half of that sum went to resisting the Kavanaugh appointment.

Familiar faces
Clinton’s latest pet project is teeming with familiar faces, and some of the former first lady’s closest advisors maintain high-ranking roles at Demand Justice. Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta reportedly served as the inspiration for the left-wing advocacy group. “We have ignored this field of battle for too long,” he told The New York Times.

Paige Herwig, who worked as counselor for Attorney General Loretta Lynch during the Obama administration, was also rewarded with a job at Demand Justice. Herwig played a part in crafting a public relations response to the Phoenix tarmac scandal, when former President Bill Clinton briefly met with Lynch on her private airplane just days before his wife was exonerated for mishandling classified information.

Other prominent Clintonites populate the senior ranks of the nonprofit, as well. Brian Fallon, the 2016 Clinton campaign press secretary, founded Demand Justice, while Gabrielle McCaffrey — also from the campaign — heads up the charity’s digital team. Fallon hopes to use his organization to “sensitize rank-and-file progressives to think of the courts as a venue for their activism and a way to advance the progressive agenda.”

Shadow charity
Despite all of the big names employed at Demand Justice, the organization maintains a highly secretive campaign structure. According to the Associated Press, the nonprofit is “‘fiscally sponsored’ by a tax-exempt social welfare organization called the Sixteen Thirty Fund.”

Soros’s multi-billion dollar Open Society Policy Center (OSPC) indirectly funded Demand Justice by donating $2.2 million to the Sixteen Thirty Fund, who in turn act as the fiscal sponsors to Clinton’s young charity.

In fact, the Sixteen Thirty Fund is nothing more than a shell charity, operating as a “fiscal sponsorship vehicle for donors to direct capital toward social welfare projects that include advocacy, lobbying, and some political and electoral activities.”

Why all of the cloak and dagger subterfuge? Because of their sponsorship status, Demand Justice does not have to pay taxes or publish a list of donors.

“Given this structure, it is difficult to know how much money individual donors like Soros have channeled to Demand Justice,” The Daily Caller explained in an investigative report on the charity.

The Soros propaganda machine is working hard — and succeeding, as the liberal media is now embracing George Soros and his radical leftist agenda with open arms.

The Financial Times named George Soros their “Person of the Year of 2018” earlier this week, and now, the editors are lauding the billionaire Democrat donor for representing the “very important values” of “liberal democracy and the open society.”

In a podcast published on Saturday, FT editors dubbed Soros the “standard bearer for liberal democracy,” and — without context or cause — praised the so-called philanthropist for his work furthering liberal values.

“Liberal values are under attack”
Speaking with interviewer Robert Shrimsley, FT editor Lionel Barber echoed columnists from papers like The New York Times and The Washington Post when he asserted: “Liberal democracy, in the world, today, is under attack.”

“Liberal values are under attack,” Barber added. “Whether it be through Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Donald Trump’s America, or social media, the clampdown in eastern Europe, central Europe, [or] Hungary — George Soros’ birthplace.”

Indeed, Barber painted a picture of the enemy right from the getgo in the propaganda-like podcast, but he soon defined a clear hero: the billionaire philanthropist who has been accused of funding protests and marches from Washington to the U.S.-Mexico border.

“I think we decided, collectively — because it is a collective decision, it’s not a decision by the editor — to choose an individual who we think represents very important values today, and those are liberal democracy and the open society,” Barber said.

Who better to represent “the open society” than Soros, whose own organizations — collectively called the Open Society Foundations — publicly advocate for open borders around the world?

Soros to save the day
Later in the talk, FT deputy editor Roula Khalaf outlined Soros’ history as a financial speculator, where he earned much of the fortune that he has used to aggressively advance the leftist agenda and support Democrat campaigns for decades. Soros became known as the man who “broke the Bank of England” after profiting hugely by shorting the British pound in 1992.

“He went to the London School of Economics,” she described, “and that’s where he met the philosopher Karl Popper and came under, sort of, the intellectual influence of Karl Popper, who had written a lot about the open society — closed societies versus open societies. That gave [Soros] the foundation for his philanthropy and for his philanthropic thinking.”

Khalaf went on to prop Soros up as a sort of iconic figure who would be remembered in the history books for centuries.

“He thinks of himself as a philosopher. He often says he’s a failed philosopher,” Khalaf said, “[but] to me, he’s an active philosopher. Because instead of just thinking and writing — and he’s written a dozen books — he’s actually tried to implement his thinking and the values that he truly believes in.”

How is he implementing these values, you ask? Barber was frank with his conclusion: “He’s political with a capital P… He uses money for political change.”

But it is clear that Soros has become much more than a donor to the Democrats. As a “standard bearer of liberal democracy,” Soros is actively using his considerable resources to change the world to fit his particular vision — and the Financial Times has fallen right in line.

Financial Times names George Soros its ‘Person of the Year’

Billionaire progressive donor George Soros was named “Person of the Year” by the Financial Times. 

The London-based international paper lauded Soros for being a “standard bearer of liberal democracy and open society” throughout another year of upheaval against the delicate international status quo that Soros champions.

“The Financial Times’s choice of Person of the Year is usually a reflection of their achievements,” the paper’s editorial board wrote. “In the case of Mr. Soros this year, his selection is also about the values he represents.”

Globalist of the year?
Soros is known for funding left-wing activism through his grant-giving organization, the Open Society Foundations, which has been linked to Democratic campaigns and progressive, globalist causes across the West. The Financial Times praised the billionaire for his “decades” of work promoting “liberal democracy” and noted that his “open society” is “under siege from all sides” by everything from “Vladimir Putin’s Russia to Donald Trump’s America.”

“For more than three decades, Mr. Soros has used philanthropy to battle against authoritarians, racism and intolerance. Through his long commitment to openness, media freedom and human rights, he has attracted the wrath of authoritarian regimes and, increasingly, the national populists who continue to gain ground, particularly in Europe,” the Financial Times wrote.

A Hungarian-born Jew who fled Nazi persecution, Soros has long been the target of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and was one of the critics of President Donald Trump who was targeted with non-functional pipe bombs this fall by a Trump supporter. But while some criticism of Soros is certainly racially motivated, the billionaire has widespread political influence that many consider to be a threat to national sovereignty and conservative values, or even democracy itself.

Soros has been accused by his native Hungary’s democratically-elected government of seeking to undermine the country with mass migration, a criticism shared by critics of the billionaire across the West. The Open Society Foundations left Hungary in May, and his university was forced to leave the country this month amid the ruling party’s anti-Soros crackdown. Soros has also funded efforts to overrule democracy, including anti-Brexit campaigns in Britain.

The billionaire has also left an imprint on American politics by funding extreme left-wing organizations that have helped make corporate boycotts and mob pressure tactics a staple of leftist strategy, including MediaMatters and MoveOn. Soros even donated $500,000 dollars to a group that confronted Florida Republican attorney general Pam Bondi at a movie theater, the Daily Caller reported.

Additionally, President Trump has accused Soros of paying for protests against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh when the judge was being confirmed, and many have also alleged that Soros funded the “migrant caravans” from Central America coming to the United States.

“I’m blamed for everything,” Soros told FT. But with his money showing up everywhere liberals can be found, it’s hard not to make a scapegoat of the so-called “Person of the Year.”

As the media continues to escalate its frenzied coverage of the Mueller investigation and the Michael Cohen trial, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that they don’t have any evidence of real crimes on the part of Donald Trump.

What they do have is a hazy cloud of rumors, allegations, unrelated crimes, and loosely linked associates. And while the media is complicit in spreading the rumors, many political observers suspect that the public narrative is being shaped by special interest groups and deep state actors.

They may have a point. The Daily Caller reports:

Days after Donald Trump’s inauguration, a nonprofit organization opened up shop in Washington, D.C., to continue a private investigation into the president’s possible ties to Russia.

Only a few details of the group, the Democracy Integrity Project, have trickled out over the nearly two years since its founding.

The organization’s founder, a former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer named Daniel J. Jones, hired opposition research firm Fusion GPS and dossier author Christopher Steele as part of the initiative, he told the FBI in March 2017. And it has been revealed that billionaire financier George Soros has given at least $1 million to the group and is considering giving more.

But The Daily Caller News Foundation has obtained Demand Integrity Project’s articles of incorporation showing that a white collar defense attorney who has worked with Fusion GPS in the past and a former State Department official were also on the group’s board of directors.

Surprise, surprise, George Soros is involved.

The government of Hungary just dealt another blow to liberal billionaire and philanthropist George Soros.

The Soros-founded Central European University (CEU) announced that it was being forced to leave Hungary under an “arbitrary eviction.”

The Long Battle
Viktor Orbán, the nationalist prime minister of Hungary, has been targeting Soros-connected institutions for some time now.

Orbán started by trying to ban non-governmental organization (NGOs).

In fact, there was specific legislation put in place, known as the “Stop Soros” bill to address this very issue.

Several stipulations were put on CEU to make it more difficult for the University to operate in Hungary.

The university said it had met all of these stipulations, but the Hungarian government apparently does not agree.

Rector Michael Ignatieff, who serves as the president of CEU, was extremely upset when told he had to pack up and leave the country.

Ignatieff stated, “CEU has been forced out. This is unprecedented.”

“A U.S. institution has been driven out of a country that is a NATO ally. A European institution has been ousted from a member state of the EU,” he added.

He went on to call the move a “violation of academic freedom.”

Soros money at work
For decades, Soros, a Hungarian-American, has been accused of trying to create chaos and civil upheaval to promote his leftist agenda around the globe.

In many of these instances, this is happening in countries where Soros has no interest or has no immediate ties.

A recent example of this was Soros enlisting celebrities to promote the legalization of abortion in Ireland.

His efforts worked, as 68 percent of the people voted in favor of repealing Ireland’s 8th Amendment, which had outlawed abortion.

Leftist billionaire philanthropist George Soros is disliked by many conservative Americans for the subversive manner in which he finances progressive organizations that seek to undermine and destroy American sovereignty in favor of a globalist agenda.

But it turns out that Soros’ globalism has earned him enemies in other parts of the world as well, particularly in Turkey, which recently announced an investigation into Soros’ Open Societies Foundation (OSF). That has prompted the Soros organization to begin the process to uproot itself and pull out of the increasingly Islamist nation.

The U.K. Guardian reported Monday that the Open Societies Foundation announced that it would soon cease operations in Turkey, an announcement that came just days after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had accused Soros of attempting to divide and destroy his nation.

Earlier this year, the OSF announced it would leave Hungary under pressure from Hungary’s nationalist prime minister Viktor Orban.

Links to anti-government protests
It has also been recently announced that the Turkish Interior Ministry had opened an investigation into alleged links between the Soros organization and anti-government protests that rocked Istanbul in an area known as Gezi Park in 2013.

Nearly two weeks ago, Turkish authorities arrested and detained more than a dozen individuals accused of being linked to those protests. One of those detained was a man named Hakan Altinay, who was the founder of the Soros operation in Turkey.

Altinay, along with the others who were detained, has been accused of providing support to an imprisoned civil rights activist named Osman Kavala, who in turn was accused of leading the failed effort in 2013 to overthrow the government via mass protests.

Erdogan levels accusations
President Erdogan briefly touched on those alleged links to Soros in a recent speech to a gathering of local administrators. “The person [Kavala] who financed terrorists during the Gezi incidents is already in prison,” said Erdogan, according to a Reuters report.

“And who is behind him? The famous Hungarian Jew, Soros. This is a man who assigns people to divide nations and shatter them. He has so much money and he spends it this way,” Erdogan added.

For its part, the OSF has denied any involvement in the 2013 protests and dismissed the investigation into their activities as “not new” and “outside reality.”

Fed up
Ingraham’s patience has expired for Democratic election officials in Florida who have played “fast and loose” with election results since polling places closed on Nov. 6.

“Let’s examine the facts,” she said, pointing to candidates who have sued county election officials in Broward and Palm Beach counties, and outlining how Susan Bucher of the latter precinct “illegally withheld” suspicious ballots from the state canvassing board.

Much of Ingraham’s wrath was reserved for Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes, who she called “kind of her own rock star these days.”

The Fox host explained:

Now, Snipes is a piece of work. Her predecessor was literally walked out of her office in 2003 for a grave and neglect mismanagement and incompetence. Practically a tradition down there in Broward. And in May, a judge found Brenda Snipes guilty of illegally destroying ballots during a primary election in 2016.
“Then in August, a court found her guilty of secretly opening mail-in ballots, which is illegal in her state,” Ingraham continued. “Then on Friday, Governor Scott won his lawsuit against Snipes. The court found that in this election, she continued to ‘discover’ new ballots. She was found in violation of the state’s public records law and has been ordered to release information to Governor Scott. So far, she hasn’t complied with the order.”

“A complete travesty”
“My friends, this is a complete travesty that cannot be permitted to change the outcome of this election,” Ingraham insisted before offering her solution to the problem. “We cannot allow this flouting of the rules and procedures by corrupt officials or political hacks.”

The Fox host went on to allege that “if we allow this to go unchecked, it will undermine our democracy, and like a contagion, it’s going to spread across the nation.”

Simply put, Ingraham wants the federal government to intervene and police these local officials, and even called on the Department of Justice to “step in and do a top-to-bottom investigation regarding why these issues still persist.” These actions would supplement the numerous civil suits filed against Snipes and Bucher, as well as a criminal probe from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

“And if necessary, people are going to have to go to jail,” Ingraham said. “There [have] to be repercussions for willful fraudulent defiance of electoral laws.”

Last week, it was reported that billionaire left-wing activist George Soros financially backed two organizations that threatened Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) with a lawsuit if he didn’t recuse himself from his state’s recounts, including the U.S. Senate election that he is running in against incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson. Now, a new report has revealed that that’s not all Soros has been up to in Florida.

An investigation by Breitbart has found that Soros financed a group of organizations that have successfully intervened in a civil suit against Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes. 

“Soros-funded groups” make waves in Florida
Scott and his campaign team had filed a lawsuit against Snipes over how the elections supervisor and her office handled ballots that “were purportedly cast in time but were not included in the first count by Broward County before the deadline for those ballots to be counted,” according to Breitbart.

The governor filed an emergency motion for a temporary injunction in an attempt to stop the ballots that weren’t originally counted from being added to the official vote count, but that move was rejected by Judge Jack Tuter, who said he made his decision “after reviewing arguments from Scott’s team as well as responses filed by the ‘intervener(s)’ — the Soros-funded groups in question,” Breitbart reported.

These interveners, according to Breitbart, included the League of Women Voters and the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University Law School — both organizations that are financed in part by Soros and his Open Society Foundations. Common Cause, another Soros-funded organization, also played a role in providing legal counsel for Snipes and Broward County.

In their argument, the interveners reportedly acknowledged the supervisor’s failure to ensure that the ballots were counted in a timely manner and even tried to distance themselves from the embattled supervisor of elections.

“Because the Supervisor failed to ensure that all valid ballots were included in the first unofficial count, the Supervisor could be subject to significant public and financial pressure to resolve this litigation in a manner adverse to the interests of the Intervenors,” the groups argued.

Interveners celebrate civil victory
After their victory in the suit, the Soros-funded interveners took to social media to celebrate.

“This is a win for Florida voters because counting every eligible vote is how democracy is supposed to work,” Common Cause Executive Director Anjenys Gonzalez-Eilert tweeted. “Tossing out timely ballots would have been a gross injustice and this ruling will restore the faith of voters in the process.”

Patricia Brigham, the president of the League of Women Voters of Florida, echoed Gonzalez-Eilert’s remarks, saying: “This is a victory for democracy, and most important, for the people of Florida. Voters who cast their ballots on time deserve to have their voices heard.”

Myrna Pérez, the deputy director of the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program as well as the head of the organization’s voting right project, also commented on the groups’ victory.

“We had a [S]enate campaign attempt to recklessly and improperly reject the voices of eligible voters during the ballot counting process, and today, those shameful attempts were beaten back,” Pérez said. “We’re proud to represent the people of Florida to ensure their rights are upheld, their voices are heard, and their will at the ballot box is protected.”

Democrats are taking over Arizona, and the GOP think things look a bit fishy.

To ensure that there was no illegal election meddling, the Arizona GOP has formally requested public records on the state’s Democratic Party, Tom Steyer, and — of course — George Soros. 

Election Meddling
While Soros has a primary residence in New York, it is no secret he has been trying to buy influence throughout the country with liberal initiatives.

It is well-documented that Soros and his organizations have spent millions of dollars to influence initiatives that would benefit his personal agenda of turning the United States into a socialist country.

Arizona is one of those targeted states due to the immigration problem in the state.

Soros would love to have its borders cracked open, then flood the state with illegal immigrants.

He, like many liberals, would also love to grant voting status to those very same illegal aliens to ensure Democrats hold the power in the state.

Taking Action
The recent domination by Democrats in elections in Arizona has the GOP concerned Soros may be doing a bit more than the law allows.

As such, attorneys for the GOP have asked for all records pertaining to George Soros and Tom Steyer regarding communications with Recorder Fontes and/or Recorder’s office personnel.

These documents are to include emails, memos, voicemail documentation, text messages, and calendar entries.

The GOP’s letter requesting the records was sent on Saturday.

According to the filing, the party expects this documentation to be turned over immediately, starting on Monday, and then on a rolling basis until all communications are handed over.

If Soros and Steyer are found to have acted inappropriately, it could finally spell the end of Soros.

Money from billionaire leftist donor George Soros has most recently popped up in the Sunshine State.

Two Florida-based organizations that reportedly receive funding from Soros’ Open Society Foundations have threatened to sue Florida Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican, for failing to recuse himself from overseeing the state’s election recounts. 

Three close Florida races are currently headed for a recount, including Scott’s run for U.S. Senate against incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson.

Soros-funded groups urge recusal
The call for Scott’s recusal came from the League of Women Voters of Florida and Common Cause Florida, two organizations that are reported to be funded in part by Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

Patricia Brigham, the president of the League of Women Voters of Florida, and Anjenys Gonzalez-Eilert, the executive director of Common Cause Florida, sent a letter to Gov. Scott earlier this month outlining their demands.

“Please issue a public statement that you will recuse yourself and remove yourself from any oversight of the 2018 election immediately or we will have no choice but to seek a formal emergency remedy from the courts,” the letter reads.

“Release the reins”
Brigham and Gonzelez-Eilert went on to urge Scott to “step back [and] release the reins of power” to other election officials ahead of the statewide recount, one of many across the country since Tuesday’s midterms.

“You have intentionally politicized governance of the elections,” the group leaders alleged of Scott. “And you angrily blamed your opposing political party for orchestrating an attempt to steal the election… These actions can easily be seen as intimidation of election officials who need to remain unencumbered while they engage in their very demanding work.”

While the groups are reportedly funded in part by Soros’ organization, neither is openly left-wing. Common Cause Florida has said that its goal is “to build a democracy that works for us all,” and League of Women Voters of Florida has described itself as “nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties at any level of government, but always working on vital issues of concern to members of the public.”

An unreasonable demand?
This is far from the first story about problems with Florida elections to make national headlines this week. Florida’s Broward County has been criticized for “slow” ballot counting and its election supervisor, Brenda Snipes, has faced criticism for what Breitbart called “past wrongdoings.”

According to Breitbart, “a judged ruled that Snipes destroyed ballots too soon from a critical 2016 Congressional race [i]n which former Democratic National Convention (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz won re-election.” A judge also reportedly ordered Snipes to change her handling of mail-in ballots earlier this year after Snipes was “accused of opening them in secret.”

But instead of worrying about Snipes and her history of wrongdoing (including recently mixing up provisional ballots with valid ones), it seems the Soros-funded letter writers are too busy worrying about asking Gov. Scott not to do his part as governor to combat possible voter fraud.

Looks like it’s once again time for left-wing activists to take a look in the mirror before coming after Republicans with no evidence of actual wrongdoing.

Has George Soros’ influence in this country finally started to wane?

After two major candidates who were backed by his donor network lost in Tuesday’s midterms, the liberal billionaire was left to lick his wounds.

Wallace misses his chance
One of the bigger stories of this election season was the Scott Wallace’s loss in his House race in Pennsylvania.

Wallace comes from bigtime family money, having inherited a family business that was eventually sold for $10 billion.

He also happens to be a partner in the Democracy Alliance.

Altogether, the group dropped $500 million over the last decade to progressive organizations.

Wallace also runs the Wallace Global Fund, which has also donated about $150 million to very far left-wing groups in recent years.

Big money
These were facts that were not lost on voters, as this constantly plagued Wallace during the election.

It was such a problem that, all things considered, very little of Wallace’s campaign came from donors.

Wallace was forced to open his wallet and dump millions of his own money into the campaign to keep it relevant.

Even with his own money, as well as a healthy donation from George Soros’ son, Wallace was unable to beat Republican candidate Brian Fitzpatrick.

When the votes were tallied, Wallace lost by 2.6 percent, or a little more than 8,000 votes.

Even the former governor of the state, Ed Rendell, still a very respected Democrat in the state, called Wallace a “flawed” candidate.

He was no doubt referring to a recording that was discovered of Wallace stating that “dogs are smarter than police officers.”

(That’s not exactly the way to get law enforcement behind you.)

Abrams falls to Kemp
The second candidate backed by Soros was Stacey Abrams.

She was a gubernatorial candidate in Georgia who was involved in one of the closest races of the election season.

But while Abrams has lost to Republican Brian Kemp, she has refused to concede the race.

There have been more than a few Democrats speculating that Republicans pulled a fast one to avoid getting this very controversial candidate in office.

Recently, Abrams headlined a Democracy Alliance event touting free college, Medicare for all, and reparations for African-Americans.

Obviously, those issues did not sit well with conservatives, yet she still managed to come within 63,000 votes of winning the election.

Is it time for the government to start cracking down on foreign donations to specific states?

According to one report, a network of moneymen — including the likes of George Soros and Mark Zuckerberg — is throwing money around to influence state ballot initiatives, including in states where they do not reside.

Buying Influence
Just how fair is it for billionaires to decide what is on the ballot in states where they don’t reside? That is the question at hand right now.

In this case, several ballot initiatives were influenced by huge donations from George Soros and the like.

The problem, as we see it, is they are often targeting areas where their financial influence is making a huge difference.

For instance, Tom Steyer lives in California, but he spent more than $10 million for energy initiatives in Arizona and Nevada.

Soros donated more than $5 million for initiatives in more than six states.

He spent a similar amount in Missouri on campaign finance initiatives.

Soros also spent $1.5 million in Ohio to reduce drug felonies and change drug laws.

Is It Any Different?
There is little argument these days that Russians tried to influence the 2016 election by buying specific ads in specific states.

But if liberals were so outraged by that, then why is there no outrage over these massive donations by liberals to influence laws in states where they do not live?

In 2016, liberal billionaire George Soros wrote about his intentions to “earmark $500 million” to help migrants, refugees and their host communities. 

“I have decided to earmark $500 million for investments that specifically address the needs of migrants, refugees and host communities,” Soros wrote in The Wall Street Journal in a column published on Sept. 20, 2016.

“I will invest in startups, established companies, social-impact initiatives and businesses founded by migrants and refugees themselves. Although my main concern is to help migrants and refugees arriving in Europe, I will be looking for good investment ideas that will benefit migrants all over the world,” he wrote.

“We will also work closely with organizations such as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Rescue Committee to establish principles to guide our investments,” Soros continued.

Major donor
Mainstream media sources denounced the recent speculation about possible Soros involvement with the latest Central American migrant caravan as “implausible,” a “conspiracy theory,” and “lies.”

But in rereading Soros’ own stated intentions, is it really so implausible?

Soros has donated billions to his Open Society Foundations, making it the third largest such philanthropic foundation in the world.

The OSF has a presence in dozens of countries, working to influence and promote leftist policies across the world.

Unseating Trump
Soros has made it very clear he wants to undermine this presidential administration.

Soros poured enormous amounts of money into Hillary Clinton’s campaign, along with other Democrats.

Soros does not limit his “influence” to his home country of Hungary, or the United States either.

He has spent significant money trying to influence Israel’s government as well.

Only last year, Israel’s foreign ministry stated Soros was “continuously undermining Israel’s democratically elected governments.”

He was doing so by supporting organizations that both defamed the Jewish state as well as trying to deny Israel from defending itself.

SOROS FOUNDATION TO QUIT HUNGARY BY END-AUGUST

Budapest (AFP) – The foundation run by US billionaire George Soros said Thursday that the last of its operations in Hungary would cease by August 31, with its activities being transferred to Berlin.

The Open Society Foundations (OSF) announced in May that it was leaving Hungary, citing what it called the “repressive” policies of nationalist firebrand Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

“There are still some colleagues working here in the office, but we will have closed for good by 31 August,” the OSF spokesman in Budapest Daniel Makonnen told AFP.

In an interview with the 168ora weekly, the head of OSF operations in Hungary, Katalin Koncz E., said she felt bad about the move.

“I have to put an end to 25 years’ work and watch as an institution I’ve spent my life building becomes a desert — everyone is clearing away their things and my colleagues are disappearing.”

She indicated that she herself would stay in Budapest, adding: “I take comfort in knowing that a brilliant office and great conditions are awaiting my friends in Berlin, where they will be able to take up the work with fresh energy.”

In April, Orban won a landslide victory in an election that handed him a third straight term as prime minister, and he has since indicated he wants to use this mandate to intensify his anti-migrant, nationalist and culturally conservative agenda.

Anti-immigrant rhetoric was a key part of Orban’s election campaign and his government accuses Soros of using his organisations to orchestrate immigration and undermine the cultural and religious identity of Europe. Soros denies this.

In June, Hungary passed the controversial “Stop Soros” law, which includes a punishment of up to a year in prison for anyone assisting someone who enters the country illegally.

The EU is taking legal action against Hungary over the law and its failure to resolve previous complaints over its treatment of asylum seekers.

In a recent speech Orban railed against “undemocratic” Western Europe states and branded the European Commission a “symbol of failure”.

“The Stop Soros laws have started being applied recently, and in the so-called ‘transit zones’ those arriving from Serbia are automatically denied the right to claim asylum and are put into an explusion regime,” Andras Lederer of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a group providing free legal aid to asylum seekers, told AFP.

“They can appeal against this regime but during that time they don’t receive any food, even the women and children,” Lederer added.

Anyone thinking George Soros is not trying to change the world into a progressive utopia is foolish at best.

Irish courts handed Soros a massive victory when they permitted him to illegally fund Amnesty International to influence an abortion election.

Breaking the Law
The decision by the Irish High Court simply makes no sense.

The Irish Standards in Public Commissions Office (SIPO) has a strict limit on donations for political purpose.

Soros’ Open Society Foundations (OSF) reportedly donated £137,000 to Amnesty International for the sole purpose of supporting a referendum to repeal the country’s Eighth Amendment.

The campaign, “My Body, My Rights,” would be considered a political movement by anyone with common sense.

Amnesty International, however, argued the complete opposite, and somehow won.

The commission had ruled the donation was politically motivated this past November, and the monies had to be returned to Soros’ foundations.

But after a suit was filed in the High Court, SIPO agreed its finding was “procedurally flawed” and is now allowing Amnesty International to keep the funds.

In addition, SIPO must pay part of the group’s legal fees.

Soros’ World
Decisions such as this are playing right into the hands of George Soros.

Make no mistake about it, had Hillary Clinton won the presidential election, Soros would be the one pulling her strings.

One of his main focal points has — and will continue to be — the promotion of abortions.

Soros has donated a reported $246 million to abortion rights groups in just the past few years.

Of that, $21 million has been spent right here in the United States in support of Planned Parenthood.

Progressive billionaire George Soros says former President Barack Obama is his “greatest disappointment.”
George Soros, an early backer of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential run, described the former president as “his greatest disappointment,” in an interview with The New York Times published on Tuesday. On the advice of an aide to Soros present during the interview, the open-borders financier made clear his disappointment came on a “professional level.”

According to Soros, the Democrat lawmaker “closed the door” on him after winning the White House. “He made one phone call thanking me for my support, which was meant to last for five minutes, and I engaged him, and he had to spend another three minutes with me, so I dragged it out to eight minutes,” the progressive billionaire recounted to the paper, later adding Obama had a reputation of taking “his supporters for granted.”

Neera Tanden, head of the left-leaning group Center for American Progress, revealed in a May 2012 email to Hillary Clinton that Soros admitted to her that he regretted supporting Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

“I told him I worked for you in the primaries and he said he’s been impressed that he can always call/meet with you on an issue of policy and said he hasn’t met with the President ever (though I thought he had),” wrote Tanden. “He then said he regretted his decision in the primary – he likes to admit mistakes when he makes them and that was one of them.”

Soros and Obama eventually got together in New York City after a failed attempt to schedule a White House meeting. Obama’s handlers “pissed on him,” a source close to the progressive billionaire told the New Yorker. “He didn’t want a fucking thing! He didn’t want a state dinner, or a White House party—he just wanted to be taken seriously.”

Despite their frosty relationship, organizations supported by the two men are working together to oppose President Donald Trump’s agenda. Organizing for Action, an off-shoot of Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, partnered with the Soros-backed Indivisible Project for “online trainings” on how to build protest movements in the Trump-era.

“Dubbed ‘Indivisible,’ the group launched as a way for Padilla and a handful of fellow ex-Democratic aides to channel their post-election heartbreak into a manual for quashing President Donald Trump’s agenda. They drafted a 26-page protest guide for activists, full of pointers on how to bird dog their members of Congress in the language of Capitol insiders,” Politico reports.

“Even the safest [Republican] will be deeply alarmed by signs of organized opposition,” says the manual, “because these actions create the impression that they’re not connected to their district and not listening to their constituents.”

Protesters are encouraged to film Republican candidates in hopes they can be portrayed in a negative light. “Unfavorable exchanges caught on video can be devastating” for GOP members when “shared through social media and picked up by local and national media.”
