We must learn from Paris. Send a Clear Message to Congress Today:

"No Syrian Refugees to the U.S."

Dear Elaine,
We now know that at least one of the terrorists responsible for Friday's slaughter in Paris arrived as a Syrian refugee. The Obama Administration has already begun allowing Syrian refugees to our country, and has plans to bring up to 100,000 more. As the Paris attack has proven, these refugees are un-vettable. They will not only pose a serious security risk to our nation, but they will also tax the already overburdened U.S. financial and physical infrastructures
The United States is a compassionate nation, but we must learn from the refugee disaster that is now taking place in Europe and elsewhere. We must learn from Paris. This is a dangerous time, and American citizens must be ready to take action to protect the country -- now.
If you have not done so already, please take a moment today to sign our Open Letter to the leadership of the U.S. House and Senate, expressing strong opposition to the Administration’s plans to bring Syrian refugees to the U.S.
A refugee invasion is currently taking place in Europe and transforming the continent into Eurabia right before our very eyes.
Each day we see more of the devastating impact that hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees are having in welcoming countries. Many of these “refugees” are neither Syrian nor refugees. Many of them do not even speak Arabic, cannot tell you where they came from in Syria, and have no official documents. They make up their own names and there is no way to accurately vet them.
They are Afghans fleeing the Taliban; Eritreans fleeing their own oppressive government; and many thousands more hail from Iraq, Pakistan, and sub-Saharan Africa.
And to top it all off, ISIS has declared that they have already smuggled 4,000 of their members into Europe as refugees. The Paris attack has proven that this is indeed happening.
Areas housing the refugees have seen an increase in refugee rape, theft, gang activity, intimidation, and organized crime. German media are now reporting that thousands of these so-called “refugees” have already disappeared and are now in Germany -- unaccounted for.
This is but a foreshadowing of what will take place in our nation soon, if our government is foolish enough to follow suit – and President Obama and his Administration already have announced plans to increase the number of refugees accepted by the U.S. to at least 100,000 next year.

Since day one, the Obama Administration has engaged with those who seek not to “reach an accommodation with the West but to destroy it." This has resulted in a global image of U.S. weakness and vulnerability. American citizens must take action to reverse course. We must elect a competent, strong and respected President who understands the jihadist threat both at home and abroad, and who is not afraid (or unwilling) to confront it.

Dear Elaine,

A judge rules that female U.S. military personnel are not allowed to transport Gitmo detainees linked to the September 11th attacks (including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed) because they “complained” that any “physical contact” with female guards violates their Muslim beliefs. Where is the outrage from feminist groups?

DoD: Muslim beliefs should not govern female guards at Gitmo

Military Times
Senior defense officials said Tuesday that it was "outrageous" that female guards at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are barred from transporting five detainees suspected of being involved in the Sept. 11 attacks.

A military judge issued an order in January prohibiting female guards from transporting the defendants, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, after they refused to meet with defense lawyers and complained that any physical contact with unrelated women violated their Muslim beliefs.

The Real Power of ISIS
The West has failed utterly to understand the appeal of the ISIS narrative, much less to develop effective counter narratives.

As U.S. troops and their allies stage commando raids to rescue prisoners slated for slaughter by the so-called Islamic State, and the Russians mount bombing raids to bolster the dictatorship of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, it’s easy amid the kinetics to lose sight of a central and potentially determining fact about the fight against ISIS (or ISIL, or Daesh): This is, fundamentally, a war of ideas that the West has virtually no idea how to wage, and that is a major reason anti-ISIS policies have been such abysmal failures.
It’s not as if the core approach of ISIS is a mystery. Required reading for the emirs of the Islamic State is Abu Bakr Baji’s The Management of Savagery, a detailed manifesto, published a decade ago, looking at the West’s debilities and the potential strengths of a rising, ruthless caliphate. One typical maxim: “Work to expose the weakness of America’s centralized power by pushing it to abandon the media psychological war and the war by proxy until it fights directly.” That is, suck U.S. troops into the fight.

How Syria is Becoming a Test Bed for High-tech Weapons of Electronic Warfare

Even with an overwhelming technical advantage, the Obama Administration refused to decisively act in Syria for so long, that the vacuum created by our absence invited the Russians to arm our enemies - and fight alongside them - with game changing technologies and capabilities. The effort now needed for any Administration (current or future) to accomplish a military task in Syria is much greater — as is the prospect of armed conflict between superpowers.
How Syria is becoming a test bed for high-tech weapons of electronic warfare

Russia’s military presence in Syria has been steadily increasing over the past few months. The latest reports are that Russia has also deployed its most modern electronic warfare system to Syria — the Krasukha-4 (or Belladonna) mobile electronic warfare (EW) unit. The Krasukha-4 is a broad-band multifunctional jamming system designed to neutralize Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) spy satellites such as the U.S. Lacrosse/Onyx series, airborne surveillance radars and radar-guided ordinance at ranges between 150km to 300km. U.S. and NATO intelligence gatherers will have “electronic counter countermeasures” (ECCM) to combat Russian EW interference — and so the cat and mouse game of the cold war is repeated. Intelligence gathering and radar-guided munitions will suffer some disruption and mistakes may be made but operations will continue. Russia will now be able to test its new EW systems in live combat but avoiding direct conflict with NATO — it will enhance overseas sales prospects of the Krasukha-4 system. NATO will be able test its ECCM against another EW system, presumably with similar ends in mind.
Professor David Stupples The relationship between Russia and the West is becoming increasingly dangerous with potential flashpoints developing in both eastern Europe and Syria. After repeated incursions into Turkish airspace by Russian warplanes on bombing raids over Syria, NATO’s secretary general Jens Stoltenberg warned Moscow that it stands ready to “defend all allies.” Meanwhile Britain announced it would send troops to Baltic states to defend NATO’s eastern boundaries against possible Russian aggression beyond Ukraine.

Stop U.S. Mayors from Importing Un-vetted Refugees
Dear Elaine,
18 mayors from around the country recently signed an open letter to President Obama, asking for even more refugees than the huge numbers his Administration has called for, and most ridiculously of all, praising the current background check process. If you have seen the news lately, you’re probably aware that almost all refugees are now claiming to be from Syria and are throwing away their ID’s and passports from their country of origin.
Ask yourself: How is it possible to do a background check on someone from a war zone? How can you know the person’s true identity? What about people from the regions ISIS controls? Does the State Department call up ISIS and ask if the person is a terrorist? Is the State Department cooperating with Assad’s government to perform background checks? Any claim by the White House or the State Department that thorough screening and background checks are being performed on these refugees is a terrible joke. Unfortunately, it’s one with severe national security ramifications.
Further, with today's rampant unemployment and low wages, why would we introduce even more competition against American workers for the few jobs that are being created? What will happen to American wages when there is even more competition for jobs?
What will happen to our schools? Budget cuts and teacher shortages are already hurting schools across the country. Are schools ready to accept thousands of additional students with no extra funding? Most of the students will not speak English. How will our schools afford or ever find qualified teachers in the various languages required to staff entire parallel systems of all the classes currently being offered? This will require massive budget increases that are just not available. The only possible way to fund this is to drastically siphon off resources from current students and lower the quality of their education.
There are numerous other infrastructure problems this refugee resettlment scheme will bring related to traffic, power, sanitation, housing, crime, and healthcare. This has clearly not been thought through very well.
It is merely a cheap ploy by these mayors to grab votes without regard for the multitude of problems it will inflict upon the citizens of their cities.
It’s time to stand up for our communities and hold these elected officials accountable for their foolish actions. Shame on them.

A child jihadi armed with a rocket-propelled grenade has threatened to behead 'Dog of Rome Obama' in a chilling new video released by ISIS.
The boy, who is only about ten-years-old, tells US President Barack Obama he is 'dreaming' if he thinks American soldiers will enter the large swathes of land the terror group controls.
With one finger pointed to the sky - a hand signal which has become synonymous with ISIS - he warns: 'Wake up from your sleep and pay the jiz' yah (religious tax) in submission before the swords of the khalifah (caliphate) reach you and cut your filthy head.
The child, dressed in army fatigues, calls Obama the 'Dog of Rome', which means servant of the Vatican, and references the US' military intervention in Syria and Iraq.
'If you think your soldiers will enter the land of the khilafah and pollute it with their filth, then you're dreaming,' the boy, one of the so-called 'cubs of the caliphate', says.

Germany has decided to accept a massive influx of Muslim refugees, while the rest of Europe has grave doubts. Now, even inside Germany, people are beginning to question the wisdom of putting out the welcome mat for so many people will break the country's system for handling refugees.

The images were almost surreal. There were people who had just completed a brutally difficult journey, exhausted, but happy. And there was the crowd, lined up on both sides, cheering and clapping as though they themselves had made the trip.
Such scenes have played out across Germany in recent days, and they are more than a little reminiscent of the finish lines at marathons in Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin and elsewhere. The mood was almost festive, euphoric. One could almost forget that the refugees arriving at train stations around the country were not running against the clock. They were running for their lives. The expressions on some faces made it clear that they hadn't yet been able to completely grasp what was happening to them.
The scenes, which included dozens of people holding up signs reading "Refugees Welcome," were quite remarkable. The Germans -- not all, but enough that they are now seen as being "the Germans" everywhere else in the world -- were celebrating the Syrians, the Eritreans, the Iraqis and the Afghans who had made it to their country. And they were celebrating themselves.
It is as though the Germans are standing up and saying: "We are not who you have long thought we were." We are not closed hegemons. We are open-hearted. It was half-truth and half-staged, but it was appealing enough that one could bask in the feeling without pangs of guilt. Even Chancellor Angela Merkel, the perennial skeptic, was moved.
But what will happen if the influx of refugees doesn't abate? What will be left when the initial euphoria wears off and everyday life returns? How will Germans react when the celebratory images of this week are replaced with the reality of housing tens of thousands of newcomers?
The chancellor has made her decision: more help, which likely also means more refugees. Refugees Welcome. It is a position that will be difficult to back away from should the public mood shift, and it is a position she will be judged on in the next election in 2017.
She has already lost one close ally: Horst Seehofer, head of the Christian Social Union (CSU), the Bavarian sister party to Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Seehofer, who is also the governor of Bavaria, has invited Hungary's hardline nationalist prime minister, Viktor Orbán, to the next conference of his party's state parliament group.
Seehofer says the invitation gives the CSU an opportunity to "find a solution together with (Orbán)," but it is also a clear affront to the chancellor. Seehofer says it was wrong for Merkel to circumvent existing EU asylum rules by encouraging refugees in Hungary to continue on to Germany. "That was a mistake that will be with us for a long time. I don't see a way to put the cork back in the bottle," Seehofer says. "We will soon find ourselves in an emergency situation that we will no longer be able to control."

Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign says the former secretary of state will testify Oct. 22 before the House committee investigating the deaths of four Americans in the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012.
The committee would not immediately confirm that date.

Clinton's lawyers and the Republican-led committee have been negotiating over the terms of her appearance.

The Iran deal is bad enough on its own, but now President Obama has made things even worse by essentially labeling as worthliess the 60 day review of the deal by the U.S.
Under existing law, Congress has 60 days to review and vote on the deal. But President Obama has bypassed Congress and taken the deal directly to the United Nations to begin the process of lifting sanctions.
The outrage here is bipartisan. From Politico:
"Sens. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.) said on Thursday afternoon that they disagreed with the U.S. pushing the agreement through the UN before Congress votes this September to approve or reject it, a troubling development for an administration still trying to win over both men...

...“There was nothing to be lost by waiting until after the review period was over,” Cardin said in an interview. “It could be inconsistent [with how Congress votes] and therefore it would have been better if that had been deferred until after the 60-day period.”

Daily Caller: An Agreement Written in Tehran

It’s hard to imagine a worse agreement than the one presented by President Obama and Iran Kerry TalkSecretary of State John Kerry as their “peace in our time” deal to limit Iran’s nuclear programs.
At every step, in every article and detail, the U.S. allowed Iranian regime negotiators to write the rules and codify restrictions that allow Iran to wriggle out of its commitments at virtually any moment it feels that the United States has not provided enough sanctions relief.
Because that is what this agreement is all about: lifting the comprehensive, enormously effective sanctions put in place patiently and with international consensus since 2005, sanctions that cut Iran’s oil exports in half, drove inflation to 60 percent, cut growth, crashed the currency, and were beginning to generate widespread popular discontent that threatened the survival of the regime.
No wonder President Hassan Rouhani, in his speech to the Iranian people on Tuesday, said “our prayers have been answered.” (Oh, and he went on to say that the prayers of Hamas and Hezbollah had also been answered, presumably because they soon will be receiving fresh funds and rockets from Tehran).
Of this 159 page text, 90 pages are devoted to spelling out exactly how much, how far, and how thoroughly the U.S. and its partners will remove sanctions on Iran and release frozen assets. These pages are written in stone, with no wriggle room for a reluctant Congress.
Another nine pages describe commitments by the P5+1 to help Iran expand its “peaceful” nuclear infrastructure, including a sweeping agreement to transfer nuclear goods, technology, and services, and to provide technical assistance and even loans so Iran can build a new heavy water reactor.
Iran’s commitments to limit its nuclear activities are contained in approximately 30 pages, but these commitments are heavily conditioned. For example, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is the sole authority allowed to conduct inspections in Iran, must provide up to 14 days notice if it seeks to visit a site where it believes Iran is conducting illicit nuclear activities, and must reveal critical intelligence information to Iranian regime authorities before it can even discuss a special inspection.
Under the agreement, Iran can still object and stall for additional time, after which the dispute gets referred to a “Joint Commission” where Iran sits along with China and Russia.
For good measure the agreement bans U.S. persons from IAEA inspection teams, at least until a time when the U.S. has resumed diplomatic ties with Tehran. Now that’s a tough verification plan!

remember one key fact — absolutely nothing has changed about Iran's objectives during the course of these negotiations. Iranian leaders still chant "Death to America, Death to Israel," and they still actively support terrorism against the U.S., Israel, and our allies.

These people aim to kill as many Americans and Israelis as possible. When someone says they want to kill you, believe them.

Iran is utterly desperate to have sanctions lifted. They want to sell oil, they want to buy arms, including the technology to build missiles that can hit Israel and Europe, and they want billions in frozen assets returned — assets they will then turn around and use to fund terrorism around the world.

What has changed, though, is that Iran seems to have learned the lessons of Libya, Iraq, and North Korea. Libya and Iraq both had nuclear programs at one time. When they ceased to have those programs, they were vulnerable to attack. Now Mohmar Qaddafi and Saddam Hussein are dead.North Korea, when faced with the same pressure, made a deal and then broke it.

Now North Korea has nuclear weapons, and the Kim family remains in power.

Iran has learned. The West has not.

But this deal isn't done yet. Congress still has to vote on it, and with 67 votes in the Senate, we can stop it.

That means there are concrete, real actions you can take to help stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

Few subjects are as closely connected as National Security and Energy Security in the U.S. Without a reliable source of fuel, the U.S. economy will grind to a halt, but almost every dollar that goes overseas to pay for oil helps to fund radical Islamic terror.

There is a solution, however. We need to “turn oil into salt."

In ancient times, salt was the commodity that drove commerce. Cities rose and wars were fought over salt deposits. Today, due to refrigeration, salt is now one of the cheapest commodities available. It no longer has any strategic value. Two pieces of legislation that have been introduced in the U.S. Congress will help “turn oil into salt.” If passed and signed into law, these bills will set the stage for oil to become the salt of the modern world -- abundant, cheap, and easily replaceable.
If oil is no longer a strategic commodity, the vast amount of wealth enjoyed by oil rich OPEC countries, and the terror funding that is supported by petrodollars, will disappear. Without the OPEC oil money, terror funding dries up. It’s the closest thing to a silver bullet that we know of, when it comes to fighting jihadist terror.
The bills Brigitte mentions in the video are H.R. 2418 and S. 889 and, as she notes, they would use market forces to let consumers choose how they want to fuel their vehicles — and turn the conventional "gas" station into a fuel station. (What a concept! Americans actually having a CHOICE about how they want to fuel their vehicles, with no mandate and no cost to taxpayers!)
When consumers have this kind of choice, oil prices go down and money that finances countries that want nothing more than to destroy the U.S. dries up. It’s that simple.

A majority of American Muslims think they should have the choice to live under sharia law if they so choose.
Life under sharia is a nightmare. One need look no further than the lands controlled by the Islamic State to see that freedom and basic human rights are the first things to disappear when the governance of a country is handed over to the religious clerics.
Those who have lived under sharia have no desire to ever do it again.

The numbers of potential jihadists among the majority of Muslims who appear not to be sympathetic to such notions raise a number of public policy choices that warrant careful consideration and urgent debate, including: the necessity for enhanced surveillance of Muslim communities; refugee resettlement, asylum and other immigration programs that are swelling their numbers and density; and the viability of so-called “countering violent extremism” initiatives that are supposed to stymie radicalization within those communities.
Overall, the survey, which was conducted by The Polling Company for the Center for Security Policy (CSP), suggests that a substantial number of Muslims living in the United States see the country very differently than does the population overall. The sentiments of the latter were sampled in late May in another CSP-commissioned Polling Company nationwide survey.
According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.” When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).
More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts.
These notions were powerfully rejected by the broader population according to the Center’s earlier national survey. It found by a margin of 92%-2% that Muslims should be subject to the same courts as other citizens, rather than have their own courts and tribunals here in the U.S.
Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”
By contrast, the broader survey found that a 63% majority of those sampled said that “the freedom to engage in expression that offends Muslims or anybody else is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and cannot be restricted.”
Nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country.

AP: Nuke talks to miss target; Iran foreign minister heads home

President Obama's nuclear talks with Iran are going nowhere fast with less than 24 hours remaining on the clock.
From the Associated Press:
"The United States insists on more intrusive monitoring than Iran is ready to give. With these and other disputes still unresolved, the likelihood that the Tuesday target deadline for an Iran nuclear deal could slip was increasingly growing even before the U.S. confirmation."
Iran's leadership has made it clear that they will not allow international inspectors into the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities — essentially rendering any deal, no matter how bad, worthless. Iran will be able to cheat at will, and no one will ever know.
Given the emphasis the Obama administration has placed on getting a deal -- any deal, no matter how bad -- with Iran, it does make one wonder what kind of agreement will wind up coming back to Congress for approval.
If a deal isn't reached by July 9, then Congress gets an extra 30 days to review any ultimate final agreement.
No matter where the negotiations stand, the bottom line has not changed. Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. Not now.
Not ever.
