A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY...
One is truly blind when you cannot see what is wrong with what GOD calls sin.

PERFECT TIMING
"The righteous man perishes, and no one considers and takes it to heart; pious men are taken away, and no one gives thought that because of evil, the righteous was taken away." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 57. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Typically, the death of a promising young man or woman seem perplexingly tragic. This is true and even more painful in the sudden death of a child. HOLY SCRIPTURE tells of an incident when it was a blessing in the case of the child of Jeroboam since his little son was the only one of that household who would be mourned. "As for you (Ahijah speaking to the wife of Jeroboam), go back home; as soon as you set foot in the town, the child will die. And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he alone of Jeroboam’s family will be brought to burial, because in him there is found something good toward LORD, the GOD of Israel." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 14. 12 - 13 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

A CHRISTian can be confident in GOD’S total plan for their lives no matter their age for they will not be "cut off before their time" for we are confident that no event will occur before the MAGNIFICENT CREATOR’S perfect timing, for HE "works all things after the counsel of HIS OWN will." [Ephesians 1. 11] We know that GOD loves us greatly because HE sent HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON WHO HE dearly loved to die for us. Therefore, "all things work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are the called according to HIS purpose. For whom HE foreknew, HE also predestined to be conformed to the image of HIS SON." [Romans 8. 28 - 29] "The Gospel, according to the power of GOD, WHO has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS OWN purpose and grace which was given to us in MESSIAH YESHUA before time began." [2 Timothy 1. 8 – 9] "Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of GOD commit their souls to HIM in doing good, as to a FAITHFUL CREATOR." [1 Peter 4. 19]

Indeed, the ALL-KNOWING ONE has allowed the righteous to perish and the merciful to be taken away to spare them from "the evil to come" either increasing tribulation in the world, or even the further growth of developing sin in their own lives. It may be that their untimely departure "to depart and be with CHRIST…is far better" [Philippians 1. 23] and will be used of GOD to lead others to MESSIAH and salvation. It also should give their loved ones greater and more enthusiastic incentive to learn more of the WORD OF GOD and HIS gracious promises, as well as to forsake sin in their own lives. In situations where death seems to have been hastened because of a great zeal for the LORD, the friends and loved ones can rejoice that the martyr’s "crown of life" [Revelation 2. 10] is awaiting them.

Many other things that we cannot yet understand may exist "For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become HIS counselor? Or who has first given to HIM and it shall be repaid to him? For of HIM and through HIM and to HIM are all things, to WHOM be glory forever. Amen" [Romans 11. 34 - 36] However, we do know that not even a sparrow "falls to the ground apart from your FATHER'S will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." [Matthew 10. 29 - 31]

Though we may now not fully understand, we can rest in the fact that our ALMIGHTY HEAVENLY KING OF GLORY does all things well.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May the MOST HIGH LORD GOD anoint and empower you daily. Remember, worship is always essential– and our focus is on YESHUA, the ONE WHO is our ROCK OF AGES, our FORTRESS, our LIGHT & SALVATION, our soon-returning MESSIAH & KING. Come into HIS PRESENCE reverently with thanksgiving and enter HIS courts with praise.
Day 3 of Repentance.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It’s a mistake to think that we can impress the world by compromising with it.

ATHEISTS & UNBELIEVERS
"The fool thinks — There is no GOD or GOD does not care. Man's deeds and wrongdoing is corrupt and loathsome; no one does good." [Psalms (Tehillym) 14. 1; 53. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; he blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek GOD; GOD is in none of his thoughts." [Psalms/Tehillym 10. 3 - 4]

The Hebrew word for fool used in these passages is nabal — meaning the lowest of depraved fools for they are senseless, GOD-denying, stupid, wicked and vile. For many years now, we have bowed to atheists feelings of antagonism against any public expression of our faith in the only TRUE GOD, MASTER CREATOR of the Heavens and the Earth. However, CHRISTians are commanded to express their faith as the LORD YESHUA intended to, "go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." [Mark 16. 15 - 16]
The foolish atheists (a Greek words: alpeha, “negative, no” and Theos “GOD” meaning “there is no GOD”) have demand that we followers of MESSIAH YESHUA, must quietly show tolerance and respect for their expressions of their religious belief — while all the while declaring that there is no ETERNAL & HOLY GOD; or all paths lead to HIM. This latter statement is true, but only to the point that all will stand before the SOVEREIGN ONE to give an account for the deeds they have done in this life. For the believer, the precious blood of YESHUA covers their sin and there is eternal life. However, for those who did not believe, HE is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE WHO cannot tolerate sin. HOLY SCRIPTURE clearly states that if we remain tolerant or silent, the stones and rocks would cry out. [Luke 19. 40] Beyond doubt, THERE IS A SUPREME GOD and we know it is essential to obey HIM, not man. Declaring the glory of the SOVEREIGN LORD is not only our right, but it is our spiritual duty to our MIGHTY KING, the GREAT LORD GOD OF HOSTS.
A sufficient word to atheists, agnostics and unbelievers: Now is a good time to reconsider your position of belief. "Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation." [2 Corinthians 6. 2] I implore you, examine and re-examine the infallible evidence, and reconsider the risk pertaining to the end result! The evidence is overwhelming and convincingly compelling for the one who is truly looking. Looking at it from a conscientious standpoint, it makes sense to consider the subject worthy of careful evaluation. If you are right and there is no RIGHTEOUS, AWESOME GOD WHO is a JEALOUS GOD OF JUSTICE, then when your life is over, you simply cease to exist.
However, if you are wrong and GOD'S HOLY WORD is correct, there is, in truth, an OMNIPOTENT OMNISCIENT GOD WHO has revealed HIMSELF to mankind throughout the ages. A LOVING MASTER DESIGNER WHO provided verifiable evidence of HIS existence, revealed HIS will for mankind, expressed HIS intentions toward us for the present times and for all ages. Also the ALMIGHTY showed us the eternal destiny HE has established. There is certain and just basis to call your attention to the fact that it is indisputably wise to CONSIDER the EVIDENCE. Do not risk your soul! The cost is too great as your eternal destiny will be the Lake of Fire!
There is a hope of Heaven to gain, and there is a Hell and Lake of Fire to avoid in fear. Because the GOOD SHEPHERD has such a great love for you, HE has revealed the TRUTH and the ONLY WAY for all mankind to receive salvation, and it is recorded in HIS HOLY WORD. YESHUA, GOD’S ONLY MEANS OF DELIVERANCE, is our FREE GIFT, if we would only receive HIM.
Many atheists, skeptics and believers alike have made the statement — "If there is a LOVING GOD, how could HE allow this (Holocaust, bombings, terrorists, abortion, euthanasia, famine, floods, etc.) to happen." The answer is simple: If they knew the MERCIFUL CREATOR OF HOLY WRIT they would understand that HE allows mankind to make choices and do their utmost evil. Then after they have decided, HE proves HIMSELF to be the RIGHTEOUSLY JUDGE, and indeed HE is, and will not be manipulated, as some also claim. There is nothing our GREAT & MIGHTY GOD has not done!
GOD ETERNAL not only told us the truth, but HE also provided "THE ANSWER" for our sin problem and for unbelief. HE alone has solved the dilemma which we find ourselves in, by paying the penalty for our sins with HIS OWN LIFE. That ANSWER is GOD'S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS CHRIST WHO died and provided the blood that GOD THE FATHER uses to cover our sins, and to impute the righteousness of YESHUA ha’MASHIACH to the record of our lives. This is the hope and confidence we have to stand before LORD JESUS on the Day of Judgment.
The advantages of being a disciple of MESSIAH YESHUA (in truth...not verbal or mere pretense) are too remarkable and wonderfully compelling to ignore — well worth looking into. Then, you too may find peace of mind and peace with the world around you. "Taste and see how good the LORD is; blessed is the man who trusts and takes refuge in HIM!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The ALL-MERCIFUL SAVIOR promised, and HE cannot lie, that for those who seek HIM, HE will be found by them. That is HIS heart’s desire; but, you must seek the DIVINE MASTER in sincerity and truth.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
It is impossible to take a stand while walking away; it is impossible share the TRUTH with those we avoid; it is impossible to love others when we stay away from them; and it is impossible to defend against the lies of those who claim to follow GOD when we let it all happen and never say a word.
O GOD, thank you for loving me even when I could not love myself. Keep praying, keep believing and, above all, keep the faith, HalleluYAH!
Day 2 of Repentance

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Economic liberty can produce the evil of greed; political liberty, the evil of pride; religious liberty, the evil of authority; and liberty can also produce an excuse for laziness.

NO KING IN ISRAEL
"In those days there was no king in Israel, every man did as he pleased." [Judges (Shofetim) 17. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In the Book of Judges, we are told four times that "there was no king in Israel in those days" [Judges/Shofetim 17. 6; 18. 1; 19. 1; 21. 25], suggesting that the book was either authored by Samuel (the last judge) or by someone of a later generation. The first and last of these texts add, "every man did as he pleased." Tribal leaders were following the ways of humanistic thought leading people away from the knowledge of GOD. Therefore, the HOLY ONE delivered them to their enemies who put them under oppression. The ALMIGHTY INFINITE GOD raised up judges from the different tribes to lead the people out of bondage on occasions of widespread repentance and prayer.

Between these periods were times of oppression from Israel's enemies, and there was moral and spiritual turmoil among the people. They did have a KING, but refused HIM, as did the men in the parable who "sent a delegation after HIM saying — We will not have this MAN to reign over us." [Luke 19. 14] They demanded a human king, and Samuel rebuked them for adamantly declaring, "No, we must have a king reigning over us — though the LORD your GOD is your KING." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 12. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

We can and should be critical of the ancient Israelites for rejecting the ETERNAL ONE as their KING and each man doing as he pleased; and then, we should TAKE WARNING because this is exactly what people are doing today. "There is no fear of GOD before their eyes" and they are "lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of GOD." [Romans 3. 18; 2 Timothy 3. 4] When every man believes "what makes him comfortable" and does "what he feels like doing" he has, in consequence, become his own god — or unmistakably is practicing humanism.

To develop the mind-set of MESSIAH means submission, obedience, servant-hood and sacrifice, all of which mean making choices , every one of which are hard. But when we decide that the attitude and mind-set of the LORD is right, we have the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD working in us to assist in endeavoring to bring our mind-set in line with HIS.

Ancient humanism was an empty religion, and so is modern humanism. They wanted a human king and today's world will yield to a humanistic king to lead them on to a final deadly confrontation with the true "KING of kings and LORD of lords." It is wiser to worship the ETERNAL KING OF GLORY, believe the INSPIRED WRITTEN HOLY WORD OF GOD, and submit to HIS leadership before it is too late

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath we welcoming Rosh Chodesh – the new month of Elul.
This evening, the sixth month on the Biblical calendar, the month of Elul, begins. This month is a month of repentance and preparation for the upcoming Fall Feasts. The Shofar is blown every morning in every synagogue in order to wake people up for the coming Day of Judgment on the Feast of Trumpets and the Days of Awe. According to Jewish tradition Moses began his second 40-day fast on the first of Elul, asking GOD to forgive Israel for the sin with the golden calf and to renew the covenant. His fast ended on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. [Exodus/Shemot 32:11-13,31-32]
The 40 days from the 1st of Elul to Yom Kippur became a traditional time of repentance, fasting, and prayer among the Jewish people. Very likely our BELOVED MASTER went through HIS 40-day fast recorded in the GOSPELS during this time. The four Hebrew letters of the word Elul (aleph-lamed-vav-lamed) are the first letters of the four words Ani l’dodi v’dodi lee – "I am to my BELOVED and my BELOVED is to me." [Song of Songs 6:3] These words sum up the relationship between ALMIGHTY GOD and HIS people.
Day 1 of Repentance.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The challenge in parenting is to be who we would have our children become.

FIRSTBORN
"HE (JESUS) is the IMAGE of the INVISIBLE GOD, the FIRST-BORN over all creation." [Colossians 1. 15]

Here the word first-born (Hebrew — bekowr) does not always mean "born first" — but more often means "position" in HOLY SCRIPTURE. "He (David) shall say to ME — YOU are my FATHER, my GOD, the ROCK of my deliverance. — I will appoint him MY first-born, highest of the kings of the earth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 89. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim] David was the eighth son of Iyshay (Jesse), not his first born, Eliab was. [1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 17. 13]

Ephraim was the second born son of Joseph, Manasseh being the first. Nevertheless, Ephraim is called the firstborn by the SOVEREIGN LORD GOD: "I am ever a FATHER to Israel , Ephraim is MY first-born." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Furthermore, "Hosah of the Merarites had sons, Shimri the first (he was not the first-born, but his father designated him the first)." [1 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Alef) 26. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The HOLY WORD even calls a whole nation, a race of people first-born : "Then you shall say to Pharaoh — Thus says the LORD: Israel is MY first-born son." [Exodus (Shemot) 4. 22 Tanakh, Torah]

The PIERCED ONE, MESSIAH YESHUA is "the LORD WHO stretches out the heavens, made firm the foundation of the earth, and created the spirit of man within him." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Thus said the LORD, your REDEEMER, WHO formed you from the womb — It is I, the LORD, WHO made everything, WHO created the heavens and stretched them out, WHO spread out the earth and what it brings forth, WHO gave breath to the people upon it and life to those who walk thereon by MYSELF." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44. 24; 42. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made." [John 1. 3]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was called the "FIRST-BORN" because in HIM we have "redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins. HE IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, THE FIRSTBORN OVER ALL CREATION. For by HIM all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL THINGS were created through HIM and for HIM. HE is before all things, and in HIM all things consist. And HE is the HEAD of the body, the church, WHO is the beginning, the FIRSTBORN from the dead. That in all things HE may have the PREEMINENCE (dominance, superiority, incomparability)." [Colossians 1. 14 - 18]

GOD THE FATHER, WHO spoke of HIS FIRST-BORN SON, WHOM HE appointed HEIR of all things: "YOU are MY SON, today I have begotten YOU...I will be a FATHER to HIM, and HE shall be MY SON...When HE again brings the FIRSTBORN into the world, HE says — Let all the angels of GOD worship HIM...YOUR Throne, O GOD, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of YOUR Kingdom. YOU have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore GOD, YOUR GOD, has anointed YOU with the oil of gladness...YOU are the same, your years will not fail...Sit at MY right hand, till I make YOUR enemies YOUR footstool." [Hebrews 1. 1 - 13]

As believers in the LORD YESHUA, we are called HIS first-born. And, by HIS hand we are registered in heaven since we have been made just and perfect by "HIS redeeming blood." [Hebrews 12. 23] Throughout eternity we will praise our LORD JESUS, the BELOVED, the "FAITHFUL WITNESS, the FIRST-BORN from the dead." [Revelation 1. 5] All hail KING JESUS, for HE is altogether worthy of blessings, and honor, and riches, and power, and wisdom, and strength, and glory forever and ever. Amen & Amen!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Good Sabbath! Open your hearts in song as the sunset swells into a cadence of changing colors: Come, my dear friend, to meet the Bride, the Sabbath presence, let us welcome.
May your heart be filled with insight and your words be filled with insight; songs of praise ever be upon your tongue and your vision be on a straight path before you. May your eyes shine with the light of holy words and your face reflect the brightness of the heavens; and, your lips ever speak wisdom and your fulfillment be in righteousness even as you ever yearn to hear the life-giving words of the HOLY ONE OF OLD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Religion is not what offends the majority, it’s the holiness of ALMIGHTY GOD.

POWERFUL WORD
"And they were astonished at HIS (YESHUA) teaching, for HIS WORD was with authority (power)." [Luke 4. 32]

The WORD OF GOD is indeed full of power, whether it is spoken by MESSIAH YESHUA or written in HOLY SCRIPTURE. There are many and varied physical similarities used to characterize and emphasize its power. "This is the WORD OF THE LORD: Not by might, nor by power, but by MY SPIRIT — said the LORD OF HOSTS." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 4. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Consider these SCRIPTURAL PASSAGES: "Behold, MY WORD is like fire —declares the LORD— and like a hammer that shatters rock!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 29 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Then when Jeremiah became weary of the negative reaction against his preaching he said, "I thought— I will not mention HIM, no more will I speak in HIS NAME. But HIS WORD was like a raging fire in my heart, shut up in my bones; I could not hold it in, I was helpless." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 20. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Assuredly, thus says the LORD, the GOD OF HOSTS: Because you said that, I am putting MY WORDS into your mouth as fire, and this people shall be firewood, that will consume them." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 5. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

GOD'S WORD is also called a SHARP SWORD brandished by the HOLY SPIRIT. "HE made my mouth like a sharpened sword; HE hid me in the shadow of HIS hand, and HE made me like a polished arrow; HE concealed me in HIS quiver." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] As part of the spiritual armor of those redeemed by the LORD, we are urged to utilize "the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD" [Ephesians 6. 17], so we can "fight the good fight of faith" thus "lay hold on eternal life." [1 Timothy 6. 12] "For the WORD OF GOD is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from HIS sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of HIM to WHOM we must give account." [Hebrews 4. 12 - 13]

The PRECIOUS HOLY WORD OF GOD is, more significantly, compared to light which is the most essential form of energy, force, or power. "YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet, a light to my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The exposition of YOUR WORD gives light, and grants understanding to the simple." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 130 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Our INIMITABLE (unique, one-and-only) CREATOR'S first recorded words were, "Let there be light." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 3 Tanakh, Torah]

No power anywhere can compare to the power of the WORDS of the HOLY ONE WHO is HIMSELF the LIVING WORD OF GOD, the LORD YESHUA OF NAZARETH; for HE is the ONE "WHO being the brightness of HIS glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE of HIS PERSON, upholds all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER, when HE had by HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the MAJESTY ON HIGH." [Hebrews 1. 3] How GREAT is our GOD!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
MOST HOLY LORD, continue to impart YOUR blessing upon us. Teach us to seek YOU evermore within the sanctuary of our souls, within the tabernacle of YOUR world, and in the congregation of YOUR worshipers. Our greatest joy is to praise, honor and glorify YESHUA, the FAITHFUL & TRUE WITNESS — the LIGHT OF THE WORLD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY...
Over time, we are richer for what we discover we don't need than for getting what we thought we wanted.

THE MARK, A SIGNET
"The LORD said to him (the angel with the inkhorn) — Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads (seal of ownership) of the men who moan, grieve, lament and groan because of all the abominations that are committed in it. To the others HE said in my hearing — Follow him through the city and strike; show no pity or compassion. Kill off graybeard, youth and maiden, women and children; but do not touch any person who bears the MARK. Begin here at MY Sanctuary." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 9. 4 - 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD is to protect HIS servants from the plagues of the Great Tribulation, which will enable them to do their work more effectively and without harm. The man clothed in linen with an inkhorn is the one who did the marking of these OLD COVENANT saints who were to be protected from the DEATH ANGEL OF THE LORD. In the same way, the blood on the door posts and lintel of the houses of the Children of Israel protected them when the DEATH ANGEL passed over the land in Egypt. "And the blood on the houses where you are staying shall be a SIGN for you: When I see the blood I will pass over you, so that no plague will destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." [Exodus (Shemot) 12. 12 - 13 Tanakh, Torah]

The things done in the OLD COVENANT, especially in the realm of prophecy, were often pictures and illustrations of things that would happen in the future. Such is the case with the command to not hurt anything with the plagues of the Great Tribulation until the 144,000 are sealed. This MARK is for a secure protection from the plagues that are to come. "Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the LIVING GOD saying — Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our GOD on their foreheads. And I heard the number of those who were sealed, One Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand of all the Tribes of the Children of Israel were sealed." [Revelation 7. 1 - 8]

These 144,000 are identified as "SERVANTS of our GOD" who are "following the LAMB wherever HE goes" and have "HIS FATHER'S NAME, written on their foreheads. The 144,000 were redeemed from the earth. They were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. They were redeemed among men, being firstfruits to GOD and to the LAMB. No deceit was found in their mouth, for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 1 - 5] Obviously, they are the protected witnesses of the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH to the world throughout the Great Tribulation.

The "Mark of GOD" should in no way be confused or compared to the "Mark of the Antichrist (Mark of the Beast)." The Mark of the Beast is a demonic-counterfeit which entices people to sell their soul in an attempt to save their mortal life. The "Mark of the LORD GOD" is HIS sign of protection for HIS faithful saints.

"MARK the blameless, note the upright; for there is a peaceful future for the man of integrity. But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed, the future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; their STRONGHOLD in time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them, rescues them from the wicked and delivers them, for they seek refuge and they trust in HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 37 - 40 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we be found blameless and ever wear "the mark" of being a true child of the HEAVENLY KING OF GLORY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May the MOST HIGH LORD GOD anoint and empower you daily. Remember, worship is always essential– and our focus is on YESHUA, THE ONE WHO is our ROCK, our FORTRESS, our LIGHT & SALVATION, our soon-returning MESSIAH & KING. Come into HIS PRESENCE with thanksgiving and enter HIS courts with praise.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A house is no home unless it contains food for the soul as well as the body.

WILLING MESSIAH
"And JESUS, moved with compassion, put out HIS hand and touched him, and said to him — I am willing; be cleansed." [Mark 1. 41]

When the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH makes a promise, it is certain to be accomplished. As soon as HE spoke to the leper, "immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed." [Mark 1. 42] GOD’S promises may not always take place as instantly as this, but they definitely will be performed.

The LORD YESHUA invites, "follow ME and I will make you fishers of men." [Matthew 4. 19] This promise is to all HIS true and faithful followers. But first we must come to HIM, and to those who come HE promises that "the one who comes to ME I will by no means cast out." [John 6. 37]

"Come to ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." [Matthew 11. 28] The LORD JESUS CHRIST'S promise is the special, intimate love to those who obey HIM — "He who has MY commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves ME. And he who loves ME will be loved by MY FATHER, and I will love him and manifest MYSELF to him." [John 14. 21] "Those who love ME I love, and those who seek ME diligently will find ME." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, His ears attentive to their cry." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Therefore, "whatever you ask in MY NAME, that I will do, that the FATHER may be glorified in the SON." [John 14. 13] YESHUA then continued, "If you ask anything in MY NAME, I will do it." [John 14. 14] This is sure to come true to the fullest magnitude in the Kingdom Age when righteousness prevails and sin is no longer present.

YESHUA, the GOOD SHEPHERD, promised to come back again and we can be confident that what HE has said, HE will do. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to MYSELF; that where I am, there you may be also." [John 14. 3] Without question the greatest of all GOD'S promises was given in HIS intercessory prayer (the true LORD'S Prayer), "FATHER, I desire that they also whom YOU gave ME may be with ME where I am, that they may behold MY glory which YOU have given ME; for YOU loved ME before the foundation of the world." [John 17. 24] The promises of our WONDERFUL & FAITHFUL LORD GOD are true, HIS timing is perfect, HIS ways are correct, and HIS love is steadfast and sure.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We honor and praise the LORD YESHUA, the ONE WHO gives true peace and rest and hope. Toward YOU alone, SOVEREIGN LORD GOD, is my desire, and all my thoughts are turned to YOU. My mind and my heart cling to YOU and thank and praise YOU for YOUR many gifts of grace. Therefore, with trembling reverence I place my body and soul, my spiritual life on the flaming altar of devotion, as an offering to YOU, the ONLY ONE WHO’S supreme greatness no mind can conceive or be sufficiently grateful. There is peace, rest, and unending happiness in the wonderful light of YOUR PRESENCE. Thank YOU LORD, for being my REFUGE.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 8 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY
We are all responsible for each other, to think otherwise is a case of mistaken identity.

THE LAW
"You shall keep MY Laws and MY judgments, by the pursuit of which man shall live; I am the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 18. 5 Tanakh, Torah]

The ALMIGHTY ONE is absolutely holy, a fact heavily emphasized throughout the book of Leviticus. It is the standard for all those created in HIS IMAGE, and is reemphasized in the NEW COVENANT, "Clearly no one is justified before GOD by the Law, because, the righteous will live by FAITH. The Law is not based on faith, on the contrary, The man who does these things will live by them." [Galatians 3. 11 - 12]

The LOVING MASTER redeemed us in order so the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, in order that we might receive the promise of the SPRIT OF GOD by faith. It is not enough that a man keep most of GOD'S Laws, "For whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." [James 2. 10] "For as many as are of the works of the Law are under the curse; for it is written — Cursed is everyone that continues not in all things which are written in the BOOK OF THE LAW, to do them." [Galatians 3. 10]

"The Law is holy and the commandments holy and just and good." [Romans 7. 12] However, no human being has ever been able to keep GOD'S Perfect Law, except THE MAN, the LORD JESUS. "Before YOU, O LORD, no creature lives in righteousness." [Psalms (Tehillym) 143. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All are under ALMIGHTY GOD'S righteous condemnation. "Therefore by the deeds of the Law no flesh will be justified in HIS sight, for by the Law is the knowledge of sin." [Romans 3. 20] The Law makes us aware of our sin which, in turn, shows our desperate need of a SAVIOR. "Therefore the Law was our tutor to bring us to CHRIST, that we might be justified by faith." [Galatians 3. 24]

The widespread delusion that a person can be saved by good works is a very dangerous deception! Many and dreadfully broad are on the roads to Hell and the Eternal Lake of Fire and they are egotistically arrogant in their supposed goodness.

The MIGHTY CREATOR HIMSELF had to become a MAN and keep the Law, which MESSIAH YESHUA did, to fulfill the Law to be our ADVOCATE before GOD THE FATHER. Then when HE died, the LORD JESUS "redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us." [Galatians 3. 13] "Now the righteousness of GOD apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of GOD through faith in MESSIAH YESHUA, to all and on all who believe." [Romans 3. 21 - 22] The RIGHTEOUS LORD YESHUA, MESSIAH is our PROPITIATION by HIS atoning blood, through faith, that HE might be "just" and the "JUSTIFIER" for those who believe in HIM and follow HIM with their whole being. And, CHRIST'S righteousness will be accredited to them making us joint-heirs of the Kingdom with the LORD YESHUA, our BELOVED REDEEMER.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel !
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Consider your latter end; fear GOD, the HOLY CREATOR, take heed to HIS counsel, seek understanding.
As we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY,
...may ALMIGHTY GOD’S love and peace shine out of each of us
...bright enough for all to see
...clear enough for all to follow.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Failure is not defeat — until you stop trying.

LORD & KING
"And the LORD shall be KING over all the earth. In that day it shall be — The LORD is ONE — and HIS NAME ONE." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 14. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The angels in heaven will even proclaim the HOLY ONE WHO alone is GOD, "Then the seventh angel sounded; there were loud voices in heaven, saying — The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our LORD and of HIS CHRIST, and HE shall reign forever and ever!" [Revelation 11. 15]

Some day very soon the ALMIGHTY ONE will return to this earth and will reign forever and ever. Meanwhile, GOD is working out HIS great plan of reconciliation, as made known in HIS REVEALED WORD. In the wondrous book of Revelation [Chapters 21 & 22] one sees the never-ending glories, the New Earth and CREATOR GOD and HIS REDEEMING SON dwelling with HIS people eternally.

Our LORD'S final words are both a guide and a warning until HE returns. HIS final invitation is to "those who thirsts, Come!" [Revelation 22. 17] HIS final warning is— "For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this BOOK: If anyone adds to these things, GOD will add to him the plagues that are written in this BOOK; and if anyone takes away from the words of the BOOK of this prophecy, GOD shall take away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this BOOK." [Revelation 22. 18 - 19] HOLY SCRIPTURE contains all that man will ever need to know, man needs only to Believe and Obey.

After that, we find MESSIAH'S final promise. Peter calls this an "exceedingly great and precious promise." [2 Peter 1. 4] "HE WHO testifies to these things says— Surely I am coming quickly." To which our response and the ultimate prayer is, "Amen! Even so, come LORD JESUS!" [Revelation 22. 20]

Ultimately, there is a final benediction, identical to each closing of Paul's epistles — and the most wonderful of all the words of our BLESSED, LOVING MASTER, "The grace of our LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH be with you all. Amen." [Revelation 22. 21] How fitting, GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD Begins with HIS creation, now it Ends with HIS saving grace!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel , O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
YOU are majestic and glorious, CREATOR of heaven and earth. O GOD, who is like YOU? There is none! We ask for clearness of vision to see life as a whole from youth to old age to be comforted in the faith that the best is yet to be.
Study that the LORD will reveal an abundance of peace and true favor to you in HIS PRECIOUS WORD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Where can GOD be found? In the place where HE is given entry. [Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk]

STAND-WAIT-WITNESS    08/24/16
"It is not for you to fight this battle; STAND, WAIT, and WITNESS your deliverance by the LORD, O Judah and Jerusalem; do not fear or be dismayed. Go forth to meet them tomorrow and the LORD will be with you." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 20. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Moabites, Ammonites and Edomites had organized a great army to come against Judah.  However, King Jehoshaphat and the inhabitants of Judah came together to seek the LORD in prayer for deliverance, and GOD ALMIGHTY answered in the Jewish people's favor.  The SPIRIT OF THE LORD spoke through Jahaziel ben-Zechariah declaring to them — "Do not be afraid or be dismayed by this great multitude, for the battle is GOD'S, not yours." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 20. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Stand Still" were the instructions, and see the salvation of the LORD.  All their enemies were constrained by the HOLY REDEEMER WHO caused them to fight and annihilate each other.   Through prayer, the enemy was defeated without the Israelites having to raise a hand.  In the same way after leaving Egypt, when the whole thing looked hopeless at the Red Sea "Moses said to the people— Do not be afraid! Stand and witness the deliverance which the LORD will bring you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you hold your peace!"  [Exodus (Shemot) 14. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Torah]  The people obeyed and saw the sea divided, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and their left; and Pharaoh, all of his army, chariots and horsemen were overwhelmingly defeated, drowned in the midst of the deep for the LORD OF HOSTS fought for Israel against the Egyptians.

When Israel was tempted to call on pagan Egypt for help against godless Assyria during Isaiah's day, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL said concerning Israel's armies, "Rahab-Hem-Shebeth ("Their strength is to sit still.")." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 30. 7 Tanakh, Torah]  During a severe storm at sea, the Apostle Paul warned the terrified centurion and soldiers who were about to abandon the battered ship — "unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved" [Acts 27. 31] — in other words, HALT!   Because they obeyed and stayed onboard, GOD MOST HIGH spared every man.

There are times for action, of course, but the rule is when we have done all we can, stand still and trust the ALPHA & OMEGA to work out the problem in HIS OWN good will and way.  "Be still, and know that I am ELOHIYM (GOD); I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 46. 10]  Remember, the MAGNIFICENT CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE specializes in things thought impossible and is able to do what no other power can.  Be still and know that our GOD is INCOMPARABLY SUPREME.  HE is totally committed to being GOD, and those who know this rejoice through faith!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Faith celebrates even before the victory is seen!  Continue, O LORD GOD in YOUR lovingkindness to them that know YOU; and YOUR righteousness to the upright in heart!  We desire to see the glory of the LORD, the excellence of our GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When we offer others harbor, we calm our own storms.

LOOKING BACK
"Listen to ME you that pursue justice, you who seek the LORD; look to the ROCK you were hewn from, and to the quarry you were dug from." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 51. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It is not good to dwell on the past continually — be it in pride of past achievements, discouragements, past failures, or grieving over losses. However, it is good to never forget what the LORD GOD has done for us. In this instance Israel is reminded of Abraham and Sarah who had been digged out of the pit of paganism, and cut out of the rock of idolatry, and whom OMNIPOTENT CREATOR had greatly blessed.

Looking back, David wrote that the ALMIGHTY ONE "lifted me out of the miry pit, the slimy clay, and set my feet on a rock, steadied my legs." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The Apostle Paul looked back and said, "You have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the Church of GOD...but when it pleased GOD, WHO...called me by HIS grace to reveal HIS SON in me that I might preach HIM...they glorified GOD in me." [Galatians 1. 13, 15 - 16, 24]

Whatever our own background may be — biased skeptics, openly scandalous, shameful sinners, self-righteous hypocrites, swindler — the LOVING ALMIGHTY LORD GOD has indeed, if we are now saved by HIS amazing grace, digged us out of a pit and set us on a SOLID ROCK, the BLESSED REDEEMER, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. We were "strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without GOD in the world." [Ephesians 2. 12] But the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, "has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of the SON of HIS love." [Colossians 1. 13]

"Such were some of you" wrote Paul of such gross sins as fornication, idolatry, homosexuality, adultery, and thievery, as well as covetousness and drunkenness. "But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the NAME of CHRIST JESUS and by the SPIRIT of our GOD." [1 Corinthians 6. 9 - 11] Looking back will help us to remember; but more important is to look UP in humble thankfulness for the grace and mercies of our MIGHTY & HOLY LORD GOD. It will be worth it all when we see HIM. O, how I long to see YESHUA’S face, the LORD I love!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give sanction to one another to bless the CREATOR. Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and psalm, and bless and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE. Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is YOUR love for us and YOUR compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that we may understand and fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments. Thank YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, for YOUR saving power, for from YOU comes our help; draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU in faithfulness. Joyfully, we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS NAME.

The Jewish sages teach us that Abraham’s tent was open in all for directions because he wanted to be prepared to lend assistance to anyone who happened to pass by.

ALL DAY LONG
"My tongue shall speak of YOUR righteousness beneficent acts and of YOUR praise all day long." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Each and every day in the CHRISTian life should be devoted and dedicated to praising our WONDERFUL LORD GOD of righteousness, grace, and love all the day long.

All of us have real problems and difficulties daily, but our blessings always outweigh them, so it is a matter of confident choice to praise and be thankful for our many riches in belonging to our Heavenly FATHER. There are many all-embracing, bold, uncompromising and stimulating passages for praising the HOLY ONE: "In ELOHIYM we boast all day long, and at all times and praise YOUR NAME forever. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 44. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"My lips shall be jubilant as I sing a hymn to YOU, with my whole being which YOU have redeemed. All the day long my tongue also shall recite YOUR generous acts of righteousness; how those who sought my ruin were frustrated and disgraced, brought to shame who seek my hurt." [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 23- 24 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Be merciful to me, O ADONEY, for I cry to YOU all day long. Bring joy to YOUR servant’s life, for on YOU, LORD, I set my hope, my soul is lifted up to YOU." [Psalms (Tehillym) 86. 3- 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Do not envy sinners in your heart, but be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; for surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will never fail or be cut off." [Proverbs (Mishle) 23. 17- 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Actually, this phrase or expression "all day long" was the translator’s simple way of interpreting just two words, "all day"—in the earliest manuscript. The Hebrew word for "all" is kol; implies "the whole" and the word for "day"—yom, frequently implies from "sunset to sunset."

That's why, the inspired exhortation of David is appropriate—perhaps today especially. "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all HIS benefits. HE forgives all your iniquities, heals all your diseases. HE redeems your life from destruction in the Pit, surrounds you with steadfast love and tender mercies. HE satisfies you with good things in the prime of life so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 2- 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Our soul does bless the LORD all the day long because HE has promised to show HIS dearly loved children "the exceeding riches of HIS grace in HIS kindness toward us in MESSIAH YESHUA" throughout all eternity. [Ephesians 2. 7] Such abundant kindness and love GOD our SAVIOR continually shows to man. How can we help but bless HIS HOLY NAME!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of YOUR creation. May YOUR will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel, Amen. May YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled & glorified, adored & exalted above all else throughout eternity. Blessed are YOU beyond all blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this world, Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Truth hurts — not the searching after it, but the running from it!

MY OWN FAMILIAR FRIEND
"Even MY own familiar friend in whom I trusted, even he who shares MY bread, has lifted up his heel against me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 41. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These are the words MESSIAH quoted fulfilling SCRIPTURE, when HE was eating the Passover meal with HIS disciples. [John 13. 18, 21 - 30] YESHUA, the TRUE-VINE, knew who would betray HIM, HIS old and dear friend whom HE had spent much time with; for YESHUA spent many days with HIS friends in the small town of Bethany.

Judas Iscariot, was one of the twelve that JESUS selected to follow HIM. [Matthew 10. 4; Mark 3. 19; Luke 6. 19] The name Judas is from the Hebrew word for Yehuda (Judah) meaning celebrated. And, Iscariot is a combination of two words; the Hebrew word for man is "ish" and "kiriot" could mean either "buildings or a city" — thus Iscariot simply means "a man (from the city) of Kerioth."

It is said that Judas came from Kerioth of Judah near Jericho. He therefore, was a Judean while the rest of the disciples of YESHUA were Galilean. He was the son of Simon. [John 6. 71] Is there more hidden identity to Judas then is commonly known? As you put HOLY SCRIPTURE together with names and surroundings, you can see more insight to Judas, one that may be pointing to his other well-known and beloved relatives for we read that Mary (Miryam), the sister of Martha and Lazarus were continually in the home of Simon the leper. Were they also Simon’s children?

YESHUA often visited and stayed with Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Miryam (Mary) and her sister Martha. [John 11. 1 - 2] Bethany is where the LORD JESUS was at the house of Simon the leper where a woman came to HIM having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on HIS head as HE sat at the table. [Matthew 26. 6 - 7; Mark 14. 3 - 9; Luke 7. 36 - 50; John 12. 1 - 8] This was Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus (and possibly Judas Iscariot). Was Mary (identified as the sinful woman) invited to the home of Simon, a devout Pharisee; or was this her home where she lived with Simon—her father, brothers—Lazarus and Judas, and sister—Martha?

Was it her own brother, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son who, since he was in his father’s house could openly state, "Why this waste? Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" [John 12. 5] Was Mary’s father, Simon, who knowing his daughter, could emphatically expressed "This MAN, if HE were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching HIM, for she is a sinner." [Luke 7. 39]

Judas Iscariot, the traitor of the BELOVED MESSIAH, is the supreme enigma of the NEW COVENANT because it is so hard to see how anyone who was so close to YESHUA, seeing the many miracles and hearing the MASTER’S teachings could ever betray HIM into the hands of HIS enemies. Judas, a covetous, greedy, materialistic and dishonest man used his position as treasurer to embezzle from the common purse. [John 12. 6] He had neither the understand nor a heart for GOD, so being bitterly disappointed when he saw his worldly dream fade, Judas hanged himself after betraying his long-time FRIEND, the LORD OF GLORY.

There is no certain reason as to why Judas betrayed the PRINCE OF PEACE; but it was not his betrayal that put the LORD YESHUA on the cross — it was our sins.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
"Barukh attah ADONAI, melekh m'hulal batishbachot. . . Blessed are you LORD, the KING to be praised in adoration."
Praises to YOU LORD, our KING, our GREAT GOD & GOD of our Fathers, may our lives be a continual act of worship to YOU. Teach us to be satisfied with the gifts of YOUR goodness and gratefully rejoice in YOUR many mercies to us. Purify our hearts, make us zealous for YOUR Law that we may serve YOU in truth that brings rest and joy, peace and comfort throughout every generation. Guard our mouth that YOUR NAME be kept holy, May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable to YOU, O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Amen!
May you be about our FATHER’S business, while it is yet day.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Turn it and turn it again for everything is in it; the HOLY SCRIPTURES are a gold mine of information!

KING ETERNAL
"Now to the KING ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, to GOD alone WHO is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen" [1 Timothy 1. 17]

Such an incredibly GREAT & WONDROUS GOD we have. HIS character and attributes are too abundant to number. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL is both eternal and immortal. "I AM that I AM (Hebrew: EhYAH-Asher-EhYAH)" the LORD GOD called HIMSELF when speaking to Moses. [Exodus/Shemot 3. 14]

In due season, the IMMORTAL ONE, MESSIAH YESHUA the SUFFERING SERVANT died to redeem mankind, then rose victoriously from the dead and now "ever lives to make intercession for us." [Hebrews 7. 25] "The LORD your GOD is gracious and merciful; HE will not turn HIS face from you IF you return to HIM." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 30. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in kindness; forgiving iniquity and transgression." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 14. 18 Tanakh, Torah] "The kindness of the LORD has not ended, HIS mercies are not spent. They are renewed every morning — abundant is YOUR grace!" [Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Daniel called HIM the "ANCIENT OF DAYS" and described HIM with great splendor and brilliance. [Daniel/Danyel 7. 9 - 14] In Revelation, CHRIST JESUS is shown to be the SON OF MAN, THE FIRST & THE LAST, THE SON OF GOD, the ONE WHO has the SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD, the AMEN, the FAITHFUL & TRUE WITNESS, the BEGINNING of the creation of GOD. [see Revelation 1 - 4] Paul called HIM "the blessed and only POTENTATE, the KING of kings and LORD of lords, WHO only had immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, WHOM no man has seen nor can see; to WHOM be honour and everlasting power, Amen." [1 Timothy 6. 15 - 16]

Daniel's declaration of praise was: "Let the NAME of GOD be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and power are HIS. HE changes the times and the seasons; HE removes kings and positions kings; HE gives the wise their wisdom and knowledge to those who have compassion and understanding. HE reveals deep, difficult and secret things. HE knows what is in the secluded darkness, and light dwells with HIM. I acknowledge and praise YOU, O GOD of my fathers." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 20 - 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Give honor to our LOVING MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE by pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness that befits a man of GOD. How very wondrous and remarkable our LIVING HOLY LORD is! Truly, there is none like our GOD! Amen & Amen

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath Nachamu – Sabbath of Comfort, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins. We share the blessed hope that every day will be as sweet as Shabbat...a rest of love freely given in truth and sincerity – a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD YESHUA! May our Heavenly Father hear our prayers, that our long-awaited Messiah YesHUA, the Son of David, King of kings comes quickly. And, may His Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day, Amen!
May you be blessed with love, hope, health, wisdom and GOD’S incredibly amazing grace as you seek HIM.
Throughout your week, remember: There is a place for believers in the midst of a pagan society — a challenging position of change and conflict overwhelmed with problems and full of difficulties. For the fainthearted, this is threatening; for the audacious, courageous and noble-minded — Exciting!. . .try a little exhilarating excitement!
Tov Shavua — have a good week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Freedom can also set evil free…one can only be truly free when he does what he should do.

WISDOM FROM GOD
"But of HIM (MESSIAH) you are in CHRIST JESUS, WHO became for us wisdom from GOD — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption." [1 Corinthians 1. 30]

The term "became" is a most fascinating word, depicted in many different ways — "is made, to become, be assembled, caused to be, be, begin to be." All are from the Greek word, "ginomai (pronounced: ghin’-om-ahee)."

This term, would also apply to the work of MESSIAH, when HE called the universe into being. "All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." [John 1. 3 - 5] "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of GOD, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." [Hebrews 11. 3] "By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made, by the breath of HIS mouth, all their host...For HE spoke, and it was; HE commanded, and it stood fast." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 6, 9]

Frequently, the phrase is also to denote the marvelous work of MESSIAH in and through the believing CHRISTian. . . HE became wisdom to us who lack wisdom; HE is made our righteousness, although we were sinners. We who are unholy receive our sanctification in YESHUA; and when we were lost, dead in sin, HE became our REDEEMER. "But as many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD." [John 1. 12 – 13]

All this, and so much more was made possible for us by HIS great sacrifice, love and grace: "In CHRIST JESUS you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of CHRIST. For HE HIMSELF is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in HIS flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in HIMSELF one new man…For through HIM we both have access by one SPIRIT to the FATHER." [Ephesians 2. 13 – 15, 18] Now we are "justified by HIS grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." [Titus 3. 7] "And from JESUS CHRIST, the FAITHFUL WITNESS, the firstborn from the dead, and the RULER over the kings of the earth...HIM WHO loved us and washed us from our sins in HIS OWN blood, and has made us kings and priests to HIS GOD and FATHER." [Revelation 1. 5 – 6]

When we receive YESHUA ha’MASHIACH as our SAVIOR & LORD, old things are passed away and "he is a new creation…all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17] All these wonderful attributes are given to us and accessible right now by faith, and will be accomplished, not in part, but in full perfection when the LORD OF GLORY returns and "we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is. And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 2 – 3]

Won’t you come to HIM now and become a joint-heir with the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, HE’S waiting.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath Nachamu into our home, the Sabbath of Comfort (Isaiah’s message of consolation is to be read – Isaiah 40:1-26, Blessed be GOD in WHO'S PRESENCE we are humbled and give HIM the glory, dominion and praises forever and ever. Amen
Sabbath rest, a time to focus on each other, our children, and friends. Sabbath provides us the time to treasure our WONDERFUL LORD GOD OF HEAVEN. May you find a rest of love freely given, a rest of truth and sincerity, a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety, a perfect rest in which you find favor.
MOST HOLY ONE, YOU are blessed beyond all hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this world. May peace lavishly descend from heaven with life for us and all Israel. . . YOU are our JOY, our HOPE and our PEACE. Thank YOU for giving us YESHUA the REDEEMER that through HIM we may have true peace and rest.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The men that move the world are the men the world cannot move.

DEATH IN THE POT
"Then they served it for the men to eat. While they were still eating of the stew, they cried out — O man of GOD, there is death in the pot! — And they could not eat it." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 4. 40 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There was a famine in the land and the disciples of the prophets that were sitting before Elisha were hungry. Elisha said to his servant, "Put the large pot on the fire and cook a stew for the disciples of the prophets." [v. 38] So some of them went into the fields to gather sprouts to enhance the flavor of the meal. They came across a wild vine and picked from it wild gourds, as many as his garment would hold. Not knowing what they were, the gourds were sliced up and put into the pot. When finished cooking, the meal was served. However, after tasting the stew, it was realized that the succulent gourmet meal was poisonous, and the recipient tasters cried out — "O man of GOD, there is death in the pot!" The wild gourds had immediately caused severe cramps.

The wild gourd symbolize false doctrine. When scholars or preachers want to spice up the old truths of HOLY SCRIPTURE with some new and superficially attractive embellishments, it only contaminates the "sincere milk of the WORD" [1 Peter 2. 2], which brings death to those who partake of such fatal poison.

Like leaven which the woman who took and secretly "hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened" [Matthew 13. 33], Elisha's creative disciples unsuspectingly added the seemingly pleasant ingredient, and it permeated the whole pot of stew with its deadly poison. Even the Apostle Paul emphatically stressed, "Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from HIM WHO calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump." [Galatians 5. 7 - 9]

There was a remedy for the deadly poison, however. Elisha said, "fetch some flour" and he threw it into the pot then served it to the people that they might not hunger. And there was no longer anything harmful in the pot. [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 4. 41] A similar scenario happened when Moses threw the piece of wood into the bitter waters of Mara, and the LORD GOD caused the water to become sweet. [Exodus/Shemot 15. 23 - 25] Truth always triumphs over deceit and lies.

The purifying "flour" with Elisha and the "piece of wood" of Moses' time, symbolize the TRUE LIFE-GIVING WORD OF GOD. The WRITTEN WORD which is the TRUE BREAD, the HEAVENLY MANNA by which man must live. As is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, BUT by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of GOD." [Matthew 4. 4; Deuteronomy/Devarim 8. 3] The humbling remedy for the poisonous doctrines of the world must always be the pure, unadulterated WORD OF GOD faithfully taught and exhorted.

As we come to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY with a sincere heart, HE will forgive our sins and take away this deadly defilement of deceptive sin and give us everlasting life in the TRUTH of HIS HOLY WORD.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May You, MosT HolY One, be blessed forever, even to all eternity beyond all blessings and hymns, praises and consolations that may be uttered in this world; blessed, praised & honoured, extolled & glorified, adored & exalted above all else for YOU are worthy.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Doing the impossible just takes a smidgen longer.

SILENCING THE FOOLISH
"For this is the will of GOD, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men." [1 Peter 2. 15]

Egotistical and arrogant foolishness are the humanistic, blasphemous attacking criticisms that are against GOD’S HOLY WORD and HIS people. "Professing to be wise, they became fools." [Romans 1. 22] "HE WHO is enthroned in heaven laughs; the LORD mocks and ridicules them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Yes, the wicked man schemes against righteousness — but "the LORD laughs at him, for HE knows that his day will come." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Thus, the best way to silence foolish men, is by doing good.

"When you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before GOD." [1 Peter 2. 20] "For it is better, if it is the will of GOD, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." [1 Peter 3. 17] "Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of GOD commit their souls to HIM in doing good, as to a faithful CREATOR." [1 Peter 4. 19] "Shun evil and do good, and you shall abide forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is the greatest, most unsurpassed EXAMPLE of this for "when HE was reviled, He did not revile in return; when HE suffered, HE did not threaten, but committed HIMSELF to HIM WHO judges righteously." [1 Peter 2. 23] "HE was oppressed and HE was afflicted, yet HE was submissive, HE did not open HIS mouth; like a sheep being led to slaughter, like a ewe, dumb before those who shear her, HE did not open HIS mouth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Of course, everyone has the right to reject every argument and even ridicule such a life, but they must eventually come to see its sure foundation. "When they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify GOD in the day of visitation." [1 Peter 2. 12] "Do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices GOD is well pleased." [Hebrews 13. 16]

The LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH bid those who would — "follow ME." Furthermore, it is "the will of GOD" that we identify ourselves with our wonderful LORD by "doing good" as we emulate our HEAVENLY FATHER. And when the GOOD SHEPHERD, the OVERSEER of believers appears, those who know HIM will be glorified. When we are sure of our FOUNDATION, we have little to fear and tough times are nowhere near as tough as without HIM. Such wonderful joy and abounding hope we have!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O GOD, grant that I may understand my duty to YOU and others. May my life be a sanctification of YOUR HOLY NAME. Let me not be discouraged by the sneers of the cynical, or dismayed by the attacks of the hostile. Grant me the courage to proclaim YOUR MOST PRECIOUS NAME. Strengthen me, O FATHER, when I am weak; help me to hasten the day when all mankind shall be joined in fellowship, and acknowledge YOU as their GOD, LORD, REDEEMER, and FATHER. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in YOUR sight, O LORD, my ROCK and my STRENGTH.
Man is given the choice of how he will act out in this world; but the junctions and highways have been set in place by the CREATOR. We have an AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the throne ruling over the affairs of men. If only we could see the path as OMNISCIENT GOD has always seen it, we would have selected it as well. HE is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in difficult times.

Post  Admin Wed 17 Aug 2016, 6:42 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Qualify yourself in the study of the TORAH, and let all your actions be in the service of ETERNAL GOD for it cannot be passed on to you like a heritage.

CRIMSON CORD OF HOPE
"When we invade the country, you tie this line of crimson cord to the window through which you let us down. Bring your father, your mother, your brothers and all your family together in your house." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The spies whom Joshua sent to spy out the lands of Jericho, spoke these words to Rahab, the prostitute, after she protected the men from being discovered by the officials of Jericho. Rahab declared to the spies that "the LORD your GOD is the only GOD in heaven above and on earth below." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Therefore, "by faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace." [Hebrews 11. 31 ]

Rahab's spiritual salvation came because of her faith in the true and living GOD OF ISRAEL; she soon entered into the covenant family of Israel and even became a member of the family line leading to the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. Rahab's physical deliverance, on the other hand, and that of her family depended on a "line of scarlet thread" suspended from her window identifying her home as being redeemed by the BLOOD, so to speak, when Jericho fell and all its inhabitants perished.

This thin, blood-red line constituted a very slender hope for Rahab in the midst of such a scene of judgment and total destruction, but it was sufficient. "Tiqvah" is the Hebrew word for line, the ground of hope, thing hoped for (outcome) — how fascinating! This is the first time tiqvah is translated as such — elsewhere it is translated as "hope." Possibly that is when "line" came to mean "hope" because of this memorable experience, when a "crimson , scarlet hope" extended all the way from a repentant sinner to the MOST HOLY LORD, the great GOD OF HOSTS. "For YOU are my HOPE (LINE), O LORD GOD, my TRUST from my youth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 3] "O HOPE of Israel! O LORD! All who forsake YOU shall be put to shame." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Definitely, the blood of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is our "LINE OF HOPE" to the ETERNAL FATHER — and through HIS PRECIOUS GIFT to us, we are redeemed for all ages and bound in HIS gracious mercies and love. The blood of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the CRUCIFIED & RISEN LORD is our only covering for sin and the only basis for eternal HOPE OF GLORY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
YOUR love, O LORD our GOD has watched over us in the night of oppression; YOUR mercy has sustained us in the hour of trial. May YOUR Law rule the life of all YOUR children and YOUR truth unite our hearts in fellowship. Praise to YOU, O LORD, our BLESSED REDEEMER. We give YOU thanks and praise eternally for YOUR loving kindness that fails not.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May the memory of the past impress us with the duty to remain faithful to our heritage and to be mindful of our obligations.

TISHA B'AV
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat, sat and wept, as we thought of Zion. There on the poplars we hung up our lyres, for our captors asked us there for songs of joy, our tormentors, for amusement, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." How can we sing a song of the LORD on foreign soil?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 1 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the major fast days in Jewish tradition, and a day of historic mourning in Jewish life is the Ninth of Av. Tisha B'Av is more like a death than a destruction, because on that day the world changed irrevocably. The world without the Holy Temple is not the same world minus one magnificent structure. The world without the Holy Temple is a totally different world. The Holy Temple was the place ALMIGHTY GOD chose to meet with HIS people. There the DIVINE PRESENCE manifested HIMSELF. When the Temple was destroyed, the fragrance of the HOLY ONE was removed, thus it was a loss as real and as searing as death.

This is a fast day second in importance to the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) in the Jewish year. It is the day of mourning for the destruction of both Temples. And, it once was kept in remembrance of the day in the year 558 BCE (Before Common Era/BCE — Before CHRIST/BC) when the mighty forces of the Babylonian armies under Nebuchadnezzar laid waste Jerusalem and slaughtered many of its inhabitants enslaving and exiling the survivors. Also, according to tradition [Taan 4. 4 Jewish Encyclopedia] the decree concerning Israel's forty years of wandering in the wilderness was made on the Ninth of Av.

On the Ninth of Av in the year 70 CE (Common Era — After Death/AD) the Romans swooped down on Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Temple and almost annihilated the nation of Israel. Tisha b'Av today commemorates the destruction of the Second Temple rather than that of the First, recognizing the fact that the second destruction was the greater catastrophe for the Jewish people. It is marked as "A Day of National Gloom." In the synagogues the Book of Lamentations is recited to a sad and mournful melody. The book was written by the Prophet Jeremiah, who warned the Jews to repent to prevent the fall of Jerusalem, which he prophesized. His advice not only was ignored, but he also was imprisoned for stating views that threatened the king's power. The TORAH Sages also teach that the MESSIAH will be born on Tisha B'Av as a sign that there is yet redemption in all the destruction.

At midnight there is a lamentation for the destruction of the Temple. Then, people usually visit the cemetery after the morning service. On the Ninth of Av in Jerusalem, devout Jews meet at the Kotel (Western Wall) or visit the Tomb of David, voicing their grief and pain over the fall of Jerusalem. One of the songs or chants is a mournful hymn known as "The Wailing Song" which is said to date from the time of Ezra:
"HE is great, HE is good: HE will build HIS Temple speedily:
In great haste, in great haste; in our own day speedily.
LORD, build; LORD, build, build YOUR Temple speedily.
HE will save, HE will save; HE will save HIS Israel speedily;
At this time now, Oh, LORD, in our own day speedily
LORD, save! LORD, save! Save YOUR people, Israel speedily."

One can almost hear the children of Israel praying at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles on the day of the Great Hosanna: "Save now, I beseech YOU, LORD!" and see HIM WHO is "THE ANSWER" to their prayer standing in their midst. The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is THE TEMPLE REBUILT — for HE was seemingly destroyed, but on the third day ALMIGHTY GOD raised HIM from the dead!

The Jew, whose eyes are opened to behold the ANOINTED ONE of whom Moses and the prophets wrote, has no need to mourn, to have Tisha b'Av day in his life! Whomever has accepted YESHUA (the LORD JESUS) into their heart as MESSIAH, LORD & KING can declare with David: "YOU have turned my lament into dancing, YOU put off my sackcloth and girded me with joy and gladness, that my whole being might sing hymns to YOU endlessly; O LORD my GOD, I will praise YOU forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 30. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers that our long-awaited MESSIAH YESHUA, the SON OF GOD, the SON OF DAVID, the KING of kings, come quickly. May HIS Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day.

Special Note: Tisha b'Av (9th of Av) started at sunset last night and continues until sunset this evening (evening-to-evening). When Tisha B'Av falls on Shabbat, the fast is postponed until Sunday, as is true this year. Tisha b'Av should hold significance, not just for the Jewish people, but for everyone. The threat of terrorism is worldwide, though most acutely felt and experienced in Israel. Let us take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our HEAVENLY FATHER, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, the LORD OF HOSTS.

Before the destruction of the 2nd Temple (70 BCE/BC) by the Romans on the 9th of Av, the Romans had laid siege around Jerusalem, but sufficient grain had been stored by the inhabitants of the City to sustain them for 21 years. The leading TORAH sage at the time was Rabbi Yochanan ben-Zakai who was in favor of pursuing a peace treaty with the Romans hoping to ward off a war and save the Temple from destruction. However a group of zealots called the Biryonim had other plans wanting to force all Jews to take up arms and decided to wreck the economy by burning down all the granaries, which created a quick and severe famine in the City. The Romans took advantage of the devastation the zealots caused and broke through the City walls and eventually destroyed the Temple.

The actual intent of such practices are in preparation for coming to grips with Israel's sin (sinat chinam — unfounded hatred) which led to the loss of the Temple, not just once, but twice. When the spies returned from the land, there was weeping when there should have been rejoicing. So, throughout history, GOD has given Israel reason to mourn on this day, Tisha b'Av, the 9th day of the month of Av. Also, it is suggested as the day the Wondering Hebrews sided against Joshua and Caleb's report that the Promised Land could be conquered, thus sinning with the unfaithful spies. [Numbers/B'Midvar 13. 30 - 31]

We invite everyone to join in solidarity with our Jewish friends and family to pray for Israel. We encourage everyone to light a candle in their homes this evening in memory of the Israelis who have died in this present daily war with the Palestinians; and read Psalm 83 aloud. I encourage parents to gather their children and do this as a family prayer time. Let us take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD for HIS mercy through judgment; pray for the coming of KING MESSIAH speedily even in our day.

Traditional Jews observe this as a day of mourning with a fast and the reading of the BIBLICAL BOOK of Lamentations. The Sabbath preceding Tisha b’Av is called Shabbat Chazon, the Sabbath of prophecy. The hafTORAH is Isaiah’s foretelling of the destruction of the Temple. The Shabbat following Tisha b’Av is Shabbat Nachamu, the Sabbath of Comfort, when Isaiah’s message of consolation is read.

No matter what the days ahead may hold and regardless how hopeless, prevailing, frightening or horrendously terrible they may be, the battle is the LORD'S and HIS compassion and mercy will not fail! HalleluYAH!

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA eagerly awaits to renew HIS mercies each morning and make HIS faithfulness known. . . if we have all of our faith, hope and trust in HIM. There is none greater!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Because Israel honors life, they built the Iron Dome to protect their people from rocket attacks. Hamas, however, has spent millions of dollars, most of which came from the UN or European countries, and from America and allies like Qatar or Dubai, to dig tunnels into Israel for terror attacks.
We praise YOU, MOST HOLY God and ask that YOUR PRESENCE be manifest to us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts of YOUR creatures. May all the children of men bow before YOU in humility and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may acknowledge that YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and that YOUR NAME is exalted above all.
In earlier times, it was the custom already from Tu B'Av to use as one's greeting "May your inscription and seal be for good (ketiva vahatima tova)!" — the same blessing that we use on Rosh ha’Shana.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"Enough" is as good as a feast! Happy and blessed is the man content with little.

UNTIL I COME
"So he (a certain nobleman) called his ten servants and delivered to them ten minas, and said unto them — Do business (occupy) till I come." [Luke 19. 13]

With this parable, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA was trying to teach HIS disciples that they should stay busy using whatever abilities and opportunities they had in the LORD'S service until HE returned. This practical illustration is also suggested where Paul forewarned Timothy, "No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." [2 Timothy 2. 4] Paul is cautioning those who would be "good soldiers of MESSIAH" against becoming involved in the "affairs of the world" if they are really wanting to be pleasing to their COMMANDING OFFICER.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST says to stay busy with the practical affairs of life until HE returns; then Paul affirms not to get involved with such things. This is no real contradiction if the motivation is considered. Whatever may be our vocation in life, as led by the MOST HOLY ONE, we are to perform joyously and all the other daily responsibilities of life diligently and faithfully for HIS sake.

However, if we allow these things to become an end in themselves or use them for any other purposes than for HIS glory — we are then becoming tangled up in the affairs of this life, which will vanish. The LORD OF GLORY, blessed be HE , encourages us to "hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps MY works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations." [Revelation 2. 25 - 26] YESHUA ha'MASHIACH desires that we be diligent in whatever HE has called us to do until HE comes; for when HE comes, we will be judged on our faithfulness.

"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the LORD comes, WHO will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from GOD." [1 Corinthians 4. 5] The LORD YESHUA took up HIS cross intelligently, voluntarily, deliberately and joyfully because HE knew it was the FATHER’S will. Taking up our cross is to accept the will of GOD in the same manner as MESSIAH did, fully knowing that it will involve some degree of pain and discomfort as it did for our MASTER. However, it will be worth it all, the trials of this life will soon be forgotten and perfection will be to the faithful!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If we spend our time judging others, we make no room for simply loving them. Remember how surprisingly wondrous is our HEAVENLY FATHER'S patience with us and learn from HIM and do likewise.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
TORAH is not education, it is a transformation. So if you are not growing and transforming, you are not really learning.

ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE
"For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that CHRIST died for our sins according to the SCRIPTURES, and that HE was buried, and that HE rose again the third day according to the SCRIPTURES." [1 Corinthians 15. 3 – 4]

This text states the great truth that the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA died for our sins and was buried stressing that HIS resurrection was physical, not just spiritual; then HE arose victoriously from the grave. Truly, this is a crucially important passage of the GOOD NEWS.

Yet, it does not state exactly why YESHUA died for our sins; for it was not just to pay for our salvation and make us free. The number one reason was because of the great love of the ALMIGHTY SOVEREIGN GOD. "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. For GOD did not send HIS SON into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through HIM might be saved." [John 3. 16 – 17] HIS suffering and death provide redemption for all who trust in HIM.

"HE died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for HIM WHO died for them and rose again." [2 Corinthians 5. 15] The Apostle Paul tells us that MESSIAH "gave HIMSELF for our sins, that HE might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our GOD and FATHER." [Galatians 1. 4]

Peter explained that the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH "bore our sins in HIS OWN body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness." [1 Peter 2. 24] Another time John said that GOD ALMIGHTY so loved us that it was manifest when, "GOD has sent HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON into the world, that we might live through HIM. In this is love, not that we loved GOD, but that HE loved us and sent HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins." [1 John 4. 9 – 10]

The LORD YESHUA is the believer’s EXAMPLE and HOPE in times of suffering in this spiritually hostile world. HE did not die only to save our souls, but to empower us to live in a way that would glorify GOD here on earth. HE is our LIVING HOPE and INHERITANCE. HE came, HE really lived, HE died to redeem us, then HE arose as TRIUMPHANT CONQUEROR. Now, won’t you live for HIM?

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Bidding farewell to Sabbath Chazon – the Sabbath of Prophecy. The hafTORAH (Isaiah 1:1-27) is Isaiah’s foretelling of the destruction of the Temple.
May protecting wings arch over each of you as we daily commit our lives into the mighty hands of the LORD YESHUA. Thanks be to GOD WHO loved us so HE gave HIS SON to take our sins away and set us free from the bondage of sin! HalleluYAH!
We embrace you and desire that many abundant blessings are experienced in your life this week and always!
Erev Tisha b’Av – Eve of the Ninth of Av.
Our Love, Rabbi Del & Rifkah

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Ultimately, the only power to which man should aspire is that which he exercises over himself.

RISEN MESSIAH
"But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." [1 Corinthians 15. 20]

The garden tomb belonging to Joseph of Arimathea was the destination for the women, that morning after the Sabbath, for they knew it was the place they had seen Joseph and Nicodemus bury their LORD. To their amazement, instead of a closed sepulcher, they were greeted by angels with an incredible announcement: "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as HE said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." [Matthew 28. 5 - 6]

The words, "He is not here; for He is risen," is also recorded by Mark [16:5] and Luke [24:6]. John, writing his account many years later, after the story had been widely spread, instead wrote telling of Miriam (Mary) Magdalene and how she had seen MESSIAH HIMSELF standing outside the tomb and calling her by name. [John 20. 11 - 16]

Paul the Apostle later wrote to the Corinthian and the Thessalonian churches emphasizing in enthusiastic detail the "many infallible proofs" [Acts 1. 3] that the LORD YESHUA is definitely risen from the dead. Obviously there were some, even at this time, who doubted the dead would live gain; so Paul reminded them, "I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that JESUS died and rose again, even so GOD will bring with HIM those who sleep in JESUS." [1 Thessalonians 4. 13 - 14] So, "if there is no resurrection of the dead, then CHRIST is not risen. And if CHRIST is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty." [1 Corinthians 15. 13 - 14]

But, preaching is not hopeless nor ineffective! It can be shown that the bodily resurrection of YESHUA is a proven fact, as certainly as any other fact in ancient history. "CHRIST is risen from the dead." The LORD MESSIAH is purely "the firstfruits" in the great resurrection promised for all who accept CHRIST as SAVIOR & LORD. MESSIAH YESHUA, HIMSELF promised: "Because I live, you will live also." [John 14. 19] Confirming and fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah, "Your dead shall live; together with MY dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 26. 19]

Indeed, MESSIAH YESHUA, the WONDERFUL LOVING REDEEMER is risen and GOD, by HIS abundant mercy definitely "has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away." [1 Peter 1. 3 - 4]

Today HE is calling your name — will you hear and believe?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcoming Sabbath Chazon – the Sabbath of Prophecy. The hafTorah portion today is Isaiah 1:1-27 which foretells the destruction of the Temple.
May we always celebrate the ties of love and faith that bind us through MESSIAH YESHUA.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One good deed has many claimants.

144,000 JEWISH WITNESSES
"And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the Tribes of the Children of Israel were sealed." [Revelation 7. 4]

Every cult ranging from British Israel to the Watch Tower to all other perfidious, dishonest deceivers impersonating true follower of MESSIAH organizations proclaim that they are this "chosen designated number" of ALMIGHTY GOD'S people. They allege that it cannot be the literal 12-Tribes of Israel, sons of Jacob, because Dan and Ephraim are missing in the count. [Revelation 7. 5 - 8] However, they are in great error. Omitting information in the HOLY SCRIPTURES, has as profound and substantial reasons as does its giving of information.

It is important to know who these 144,000 sealed Israelites are and the important position they have in the prophetic plan of the TRUE & LIVING MIGHTY GOD for the End Times that are nearly upon us. These, special and selected number from Israel's Tribes, are the ones who will go throughout the whole world preaching ("following the LAMB wherever HE goes") at the time of "Jacob's Trouble (The Great Tribulation)" — while the great and terrible wrath of the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY ONE is being poured out on the whole face of the earth. "Then I looked, and behold, a LAMB standing on Mount Zion, and with HIM 144,000 having HIS FATHER'S NAME written on their foreheads. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the LAMB wherever HE goes. These were redeemed from among men being first-fruits to GOD and to the LAMB. And in their mouth was found no guile (deceit), for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 1, 4 - 5]

The documented record of the 12-Tribes of Israel has 12,000 virgin men from each selected tribe [Revelation 7. 5 - 8] listed is as follows:
Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin. These are all exclusively and clearly named Tribes of Israel (the sons of Jacob). From studying the SCRIPTURES OF TRUTH, we know from Genesis 48 that Israel (Jacob) gave Joseph a double-portion along with his brothers. Jacob (Israel) claimed both of Joseph's sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, as equal heirs of the inheritance of Israel along with each of Israel's (Jacob) other sons...making a total of 14 Tribes. "Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, shall be mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine even as Reuben and Simeon are mine... Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance." [Genesis (Bereshit) 48. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Torah]

In the Book of Exodus, the tribe of Levi was set apart as the priestly tribe, leaving 13 national tribes. But in Revelation 7:5-8, Levi is named again along with the tribe of Joseph. These take the place of the tribes of Dan and Ephraim resulting in a representation of 12 actual Tribes of Israel from which the 144,000 designated number are taken.

Then, why are Dan and Ephraim missing in this list?? The ALL-KNOWING, ALL-WISE Creator GOD does everything perfect and is orderly! The name Dan means "judge." This is not a time of judgment, but for "witnessing." And, a judge is not a witness. Ephraim means "first-fruit." The number "144,000" is a fixed number. . . not the first-fruits of more to come of like kind, but they are clearly set apart as first-fruits for that specific purpose and time (the last 3 ½ years). The 144,000 Israelites are a unique one-of-a-kind group to be "witnesses of GOD and the LAMB." They are distinct from other men in that "they sang a new song before the Throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth." [Revelation 14. 3]

Dan and Ephraim are only excluded from this specified group. The MERCIFUL & COMPASSIONATE GOD OF ISRAEL has not banished the nation of Israel and the "12 Patriarchs" are special to HIM. The ETERNAL ONE cannot lie. HE keeps all HIS promises ["The Promise" — see Genesis/Bereshith 17. 6-9] including those made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel). In the Book of Ezekiel where the "Gates of the Holy City" are described, Dan is again mentioned as having one of the "Gates" named after himself, showing he still has a place in GOD'S Kingdom. [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 48. 32; Revelation 21. 12-13] Also, Dan has the first portion of land assigned to him in the Kingdom Age. [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 48. 1]

Ephraim receives a land portion in the Kingdom [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 48. 5] and his father, Joseph (in whom Ephraim would be incorporated) has a "Gate in the Holy City" named after him. [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 48. 32; Revelation 21. 12-13]

The GREAT OMNISCIENT CREATOR OF HEAVEN & EARTH has a "Continuing Covenant" with the Jewish people. "Thus said the LORD: As surely as I have established MY covenant with day and night — the laws of heaven and earth — so I will NEVER reject the offspring of Jacob and MY servant David; I will NEVER fail to take from his offspring rulers for the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Indeed, I will restore their fortunes and take them back in love." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 33. 25-26 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There is another prophetic warning to those who imprudently declare they are the 144,000 Witness of the MOST HIGH. This warning comes direct from the mouth of THE HOLY ONE WHO holds the seven stars in HIS right hand, WHO walks in the midst of the seven Golden Lampstands — "I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are NOT, but are a synagogue of Satan. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, WHO SAY THEY ARE JEWS AND ARE NOT, but LIE — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you." [Revelation 2. 9; 3. 9]

It is not wise to rephrase, reword, or refuse to accept what our LOVING CREATOR GOD so clearly states. HE says what HE means, and means what HE says. We would do well to believe the HOLY INSPIRED WORD as it is written — rather than attempt to change them by interpretation according to our own ideas or wishes.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The TORAH: When you walk, it shall lead you; when you lie down, it shall watch over you; and when you awake, it shall talk to you.
Life's challenges work out for the best, when we recognize what appear to be obstacles as opportunities to develop ourselves for the better and recognize that all things come from OMNIPOTENT GOD'S invisible hand that guides our lives..

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order to rescue the flesh, we must work on the spiritual.

YOUR NAME & WORD
"I bow toward YOUR Holy Temple and praise YOUR NAME for YOUR steadfast love and faithfulness, because YOU have exalted YOUR NAME, YOUR WORD above all." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The WORD OF GOD is not greater than GOD, of course, but is greater than HIS NAME which is immeasurably infinite and magnificent. The NAME of GOD represents all that HE is and all that HE does and is supremely deserving of the praise of all HIS creatures.

However, we can only know HIS NAME, what HE is and what HE does through HIS WORD. The full demonstration or exposition of HIS character of truth and HIS acts of love and mercy can be discerned only through HIS WRITTEN WORD, which becomes greater than HIS NAME, by manifesting and revealing HIS NAME.

"As many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right to become children of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME." [John 1. 12] We believe on HIS NAME, and thereby receive HIM, by trusting HIS WORD OF TRUTH and appropriating (claiming, seizing, absorbing) HIS forgiving mercy. We deny HIS NAME by doubting HIS WORD and despising HIS extended free gift of salvation. "The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, HIS ears attentive their cry. The face of the LORD is set against evildoers, to erase their names from the earth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim; 1 Peter 3. 12]

The WORD OF GOD is LIGHT — "YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet, a LIGHT for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The WORD OF GOD is TRUTH — "Sanctify them by YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD is TRUTH." [John 17. 17 - 18]
The WORD OF GOD is LIVING & REVITALIZING — "For the WORD OF GOD is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." [Hebrews 4. 12 - 13]

The WORD OF GOD is PERFECT, SURE, RIGHT, PURE, CLEAN, TRUE, RIGHTEOUS — "The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is enduring, making the simple wise; the statutes of the LORD are just, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is pure, abiding forever; the judgments of the LORD are true, righteous altogether." [Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 7 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The WORD OF GOD is PROFITABLE — "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 16 - 17]

May the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, the SAVIOR enable us, in full sincerity of heart and mind, to bow down and worship the MASTER OF CREATION and HIS TRUE & HOLY WORD. And in everything believe and obey HIS promises and HIS commandments.

There are many who charge CHRISTians with placing too much emphasis on the Written WORD, but it is impossible to place too much importance on SACRED SCRIPTURE, for ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF has magnified HIS WORD even above HIS NAME!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Magnified and hallowed, praised and glorified, exalted and extolled above all be the NAME of the SUPREME KING of kings, the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, in the worlds which HE created, the world and the world to come, in accordance with HIS desire and with the desire of them that fear HIM. YOU LORD GOD are the ROCK EVERLASTING, the LORD of all creatures, the GOD of all souls, WHO dwells in the wide-extended heights, WHO inhabits the heaven of heavens; WHOSE holiness is far above the Throne of Glory. We wait for YOUR return to Zion that we may see you face-to-face and behold YOUR goodness, YOUR salvation, and YOUR mercy.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May your fear of the ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD be greater then your fear of man.

SHAKEN EARTH
"And men shall enter caverns in the rock and hollows in the ground — before the terror of the LORD and HIS dread majesty, when HE comes forth to shake terribly and overawe the earth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 2. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

From the time of the "Great Flood" when only Noah and his family were saved, the earth has been in a state of instability and distress with many earthquakes all over the world. The earthquakes that are to come, however, will exceed anything ever yet experienced.

There is a "Great Earthquake" also prophesied in the Book of Revelation, "I looked when HE opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of HIM WHO sits on the Throne and from the wrath of the LAMB! For the Great Day of HIS wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" [Revelation 6. 12 - 17] When the ALMIGHTY ONE judges the earth, those who reject the love of MESSIAH YESHUA, the BLESSED REDEEMER, will definitely remain unrepentant and will simply attempt to flee HIS anger, never turning in repentance to HIM WHO alone can offer saving grace.

The HIGH & LOFTY GOD OF HEAVEN is long-suffering. Nevertheless, "the Great Day of HIS wrath" will come! [Revelation 6. 17] For the LORD OF HOSTS declares, "In just a little while longer I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all the nations. And the precious things of all the nations shall come here, and I will fill this House with glory, said the LORD OF HOSTS." [Haggai (Chagai) 2. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The earth is breaking, utterly breaking down; the earth is crumbling, clean dissolved; the earth is tottering, moving exceedingly; the earth is swaying like a drunkard; it is rocking to-and-fro like a hut. Its iniquity shall weigh it down, and it shall fall, to rise no more." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 24. 19 - 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Finally there will come "a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth...and the cities of the nations fell…and every island fled away, and the mountains were not found." [Revelation 16. 18 - 20]

If you belong to YESHUA, the LORD & KING, however, you will be delivered from HIS wrath which is coming and only those things which cannot be shaken may remain. In HIM alone, our REFUGE, can we stand. "HE WHO testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen! Even so, come LORD JESUS! The grace of our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA be with you all. Amen" [Revelation 22. 20 - 21]

Take the SAVIOR at HIS WORD, keep your sense of seriousness and you won’t lose your sense of wonder for HIS provision.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We bow the head and bend the knee and magnify the KING of kings, the HOLY ONE, praised be HE. Rejoice with inexpressible joy all who by faith have received the LORD YESHUA — the ULTIMATE, INDESCRIBABLE GIFT, our JOY & HOPE of Glory. Amen! We are eternally thanking GOD for HIS unfathomable kindness

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
No man sins except for his own advantage; but on the other hand, the advantage is in this life only.

WAIT ON THE LORD
"Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall march and not grow faint." [Isaiah/Yeshayah) 40. 31] "Bless the LORD…Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 1, 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To say this another way, "The ALMIGHTY satisfies you with good things in the prime of life, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles." This is such a lovely promise from GOD'S HOLY WORD, as it is easy to grow weary and faint in our mortal bodies, even when doing the work of the GREAT & MIGHTY LORD GOD. The answer: Wait upon the LORD!

The Hebrew word "kavah" means wait for or look for. It is translated "waited for" the second time it is used in the HOLY BIBLE when the dying patriarch, Jacob cried out: "I waited for YOUR deliverance (salvation), O LORD." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 18 Tanakh, Torah]

The first time it is used, amazingly, is in connection with the Third Day of Creation when the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR said — "Let the water below the sky be gathered into one area, that the dry land may appear." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 9 Tanakh, Torah] That is, the all-encompassing waters of the original creation, divided on the Second Day of Creation, now are told to wait patiently, perhaps stated, until GOD formed the various heavens (atmosphere, outer-space) before dealing again with the waters.

In Psalm 40, we can get a clearer insight as to the meaning of "kavah" where it is used to picture the foreshadowed MESSIAH YESHUA, "I waited patiently for (put my hope in…) YEHOWAH; and HE inclined toward (listened to) me and heeded my cry." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The ETERNAL GOD OF HEAVEN, the HIGH & LOFTY LORD, the CREATOR of the earth from end to end, HE never grows faint or weary, HIS wisdom cannot be fathomed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] HIS gracious promise is that we can "renew our strength" (rather to exchange our weakness for HIS strength) by "waiting on HIM." We wait patiently for the LORD YESHUA, draw nearer to HIM, look for HIM, cry to HIM and trust HIM with remarkable confidence. In turn, our WONDERFUL LORD renews our strength! HalleluYAH!

The ultimate renewal of our strength will be when we receive our new bodies and we rise "like the eagles" when the ALMIGHTY ONE catches away those who are found worthy. "For the LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an arch-angel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And the dead in CHRIST will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

"Behold, I tell you a mystery — We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written — Death is swallowed up in victory." [1 Corinthians 15. 51 - 54] This will happen at our SOVEREIGN LORD'S appointed time. Meanwhile, wait on the LORD for it will surely come, and HE is definitely worth waiting for. HalleluYAH, what blessed hope!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Firm confidence in GOD’S eternal commitment does much to banish all fears to such an extent that it is extremely difficult to imagine how a believer who believes the HOLY SCRIPTURES can be easily moved.
Shalom alechem b’Shem YESHUA ha’MASHIACH — Peace be to you in the NAME OF JESUS THE CHRIST! May HIS amazing grace be with you always — for you are our glory and joy!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
