Schweizer: Trump is ‘right’ to ask that Ukraine investigate Biden
September 21, 2019
Democrats and the media were up in arms all week about a so-called “whistleblower” complaint that President Donald Trump had made a “troubling” “promise” to a foreign leader. It is now being reported that Trump made repeated requests for Ukraine to investigate possible corruption involving the Biden family.
Front-running Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden defensively condemned Trump’s reported request as “outrageous” and “an overwhelming abuse of power.” But Author Peter Schweizer said Friday that Trump is “right” to ask for a thorough investigation into Biden’s son’s lucrative Ukraine dealings.
“The underlying story here involves Hunter Biden going around the world really collecting large payments from foreign governments and foreign oligarchs,” Schweizer, author of several books documenting governmental corruption, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“In the case of Ukraine, he’s being paid $83,000 a month by a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch who runs a company called Burisma, and he is supposed to be advising them on natural gas regulatory issues,” he continued. “He has no background in Ukraine, he has no background in energy or natural gas.”
“So the question is, what is he being paid for? He’s not being paid for his expertise — he has none,” Schweizer said. With regard to the former vice president, he added, “His father, at this time, was the point person on U.S. policy to Ukraine.”
“Donald Trump is right to ask the question and to ask that there be an investigation to see what Hunter Biden was being paid for,” he said. “Joe Biden has offered no answers. Hunter Biden, when he’s been asked about this, has lied repeatedly, and they’ve been proven lies by ABC News and other outlets.”
Schweizer went on to say that the whistleblower’s alleged evidence should be considered, but that everyone should remember that the “underlying issue involves corruption at the highest scale.”
If true, Bidens are in big trouble
Fox News legal analyst Greg Jarrett told Ingraham that the only “quid pro quo” in the entire story was Joe Biden’s threat to withhold aid money to Ukraine unless they fired a prosecutor who was investigating the corrupt natural gas company with which Hunter Biden was involved.
He also argued that the so-called “whistleblower” wasn’t really an actual whistleblower at all, but rather another “Deep State” official in the federal bureaucracy who was spying on the president and had potentially obtained and leaked unauthorized information.
Later in the segment, Ingraham suggested that Democrats may ultimately regret focusing so much attention this, because the attention might backfire on the Bidens.
Schweizer agreed, noting that Hunter Biden’s activities in China might also come under scrutiny. He is known to have made a substantial sum of money there as well, again for providing “expertise” on matters in which he had no background.
Trump quoted Schweizer in a tweet Saturday afternoon, writing, “‘They’re trying to turn what was a Biden scandal into a Trump scandal.’ @PeterSchweizer The problem is, ‘Trump’ did nothing wrong!”

Anti-Trump protesters charged that the president is racist and “Hitler,” but when asked to name one thing he had done that proves their case, they could not.
In video posted on social media last week, Turning Point USA executive director Charlie Kirk engaged with some protesters, including one holding a sign that read, “Racism Is Not a Virtue.”
Kirk asked who the message was directed against, and the man holding the sign responded, “Who do you think?”
Kirk continued probing, “Would you say Donald Trump is a racist?”
The group gathered responded in the affirmative, with one saying, “Oh absolutely, without a doubt.”
Kirk then asked for evidence that what they claimed is true.
“If you don’t know, there’s no point in discussing it,” one answered.

It’s incredibly satisfying when a plan that has been years in the making finally comes together. From the looks of it, President Trump’s border wall is one of those plans.
Just look no further than San Diego, California, where Trump and other officials visited to comment on the progress of 24 miles of new border wall construction.
During his remarks, acting Department of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan gave some more than promising numbers regarding the effectiveness of the wall, according to a transcript from the White House.

“This is the same area that we had the prototypes built,” McAleenan said. “The President was here 18 months ago. We now have 24 miles of new primary and secondary wall in this sector.”
“The difference that makes for us, operationally is, instead of 3[00] to 500 people crossing a day, we’re now seeing 30 to 50.”

Trump added that “nobody is going over the wall.”
This is a prime example of the effectiveness of a physical barrier. Although it should go without saying that this is good for national security, the fight for the construction of the wall has been a tough one from its very inception.
Do you think Trump will ever finish the wall?

Democrats have attacked Trump’s wall plan from the start using arguments such as the expensive price and the immoral aspects of border security as a whole.
Trump already has requested $5 billion to cover some construction costs for next year, and could divert $3.6 billion from the Pentagon if those funds are not approved, National Review reported.
But the real reason Democrats fight the construction of the wall is twofold. Some of them blatantly don’t care about border security, and the ones who do care are simply opposed to the wall because it was Trump’s idea.

Thankfully, regardless of their reasons, it appears that these opponents of the wall are on the losing side.
A 90 percent drop in border crossings at the new section of the wall is absolutely astounding, but there’s still a lot of wall left to build, as the president pointed out.

“You can see — you can see a pretty good view,” Trump said. “This is going to be close to 500 miles by the time we finish. Those are the areas that are most important.”
“After we’re completed 5 — that should be done pretty close to next year,” he continued. “Over — it’ll be over 400 miles. And we think we can get it close to 500 miles by the end of next year, depending on certain terrain conditions.”

Barack Obama funded Iran's reign of terror. Trump prefers to PUNISH them.
President Trump has just announced that he is slapping some of the toughest sanctions on Iran's national bank that have ever been made by the United States.
At the Oval Office, Trump gave the following details about his decision:
"These are the highest sanctions ever imposed on a country. We've never done it to this level... This will mean no more funds going to the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] or to fund terror, and this is on top of our oil sanctions and our financial institution sanctions."
Good. Iran never deserved our help in the first place. Especially since Iran willfully and wrongfully attacked one of America's foreign allies in an airstrike a few days ago. Iran is just itching for a war - and that's exactly why Trump has to nip their behavior in the bud before it blossoms into something catastrophic.

Sanctions are a perfect tool for this – and Trump is smart to use them. Because it puts pressure on trouble-making countries without requiring us to put troops on the ground.
Standing up to Iran is a good decision.

Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson doubled down on his praise for the impact President Donald Trump’s economy is having on African-Americans.
He also encouraged African-Americans to vote in their “permanent interests” and not by party.
In July, the Democratic businessman, who backed Hillary Clinton in 2016, made headlines when he told CNBC that Trump deserves “a lot of credit for moving the economy in a positive direction” that has resulted in record-low unemployment levels for African-Americans.
Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” late last week, Johnson stood by that assessment.
“For African-Americans, the trend continues to be favorable,” he said, noting the unemployment rate continues to drop.

“There used to be the old saying, that ‘When White America catches a cold, African-Americans get pneumonia,'” Johnson said.
“It’s going the opposite way now. White unemployment is going down; African-American unemployment is going down. That’s a plus-plus that you can’t argue with.”
Johnson then pivoted to talk about Trump.
“I give the president credit for doing positive things,” he said, adding he recently met with Trump to discuss the issue of retirement savings management among minorities.

Trump's Ex-Campaign Manager Mercilessly Messed with a Furious Jerry Nadler's Head During Sham Impeachment Hearing
By C. Douglas Golden
Published September 18, 2019 at 5:27am
The House Judiciary Committee’s grilling of Donald Trump’s first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, was a whole lot of fun if you’re the kind of person who enjoys crosstalk on those political chat shows or, even worse, on “Maury.”
Tuesday’s hearing, such as it was, will probably be best remembered — if remembered at all — for the exchanges between Lewandowski and House Judiciary Chairman (and official impeachment drum-beater) Jerrold Nadler. This, after all, was the first hearing in Nadler’s impeachment investigation into Trump, and Lewandowski certainly represents a key figure in the whole thing.
The former campaign manager played a significant role in the series of events described in the Mueller report, with investigators claiming that the president had told Lewandowski to meet with then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions and ask him to make a public statement imploring Mueller to limit his investigation.
If he didn’t, the report claimed, Sessions was to be fired. Lewandowski failed to deliver the message. (When Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson — he of the famous remark that Guam might “tip over” if the U.S. military presence there got too big — suggested he “chickened out,” Lewandowski responded to laughter: “I went on vacation.”)
Nadler began the hearings in typically balanced fashion by noting that the White House’s effort to limit the number of people who talked to the committee was a ‘shocking and dangerous assertion of executive privilege and absolute immunity,'” according to NBC News.
“The White House is advancing a new, dangerous theory of crony privilege. It makes absolute immunity look good by comparison. Where are the limits?” Nadler said. “This is a cover-up, plain and simple.”
This is clearly a man interested in finding out the truth; in no way is this a biased witch-hunt or anything like that.
Lewandowski hit back during the hearings. He confirmed that he had told Sessions he wanted him to curtail the Russia investigation — but other than that, there wasn’t a whole lot of information.
That was partially to do with the fact that the former Trump campaign manager was “filibustering,” according to Nadler, partially because he would repeatedly ask for a copy of the Mueller report. (Fox News reported that this had “Democratic staff scrambling to find one.”
After Lewandowski asked where on a certain page it was that they were discussing, for instance, the chairman was reminded of the fact he had to start the clock, which showed how much time he had to question Lewandowski.
“No, I don’t have to start the clock when he’s filibustering,” a piqued Nadler said.
“Filibustering is a different — that’s across the hall in the Senate,” Rep. Doug Collins, the ranking Republican on the committee, replied.
And then came the “are you still hitting your wife?” questions. Take this one from New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who asked whether Lewandowski was Trump’s “hitman, the bag man, the lookout, or all of the above?”
“I think I’m the good looking man, actually,” Lewandowski responded.
RELATED: NC Cheerleaders Put on Probation over Pro-Trump Game Banner, Now Locals Are Rallying Back
“You are not on the campaign trail yet,” Jeffries would say, referencing Lewandowski’s possible run for the New Hampshire Senate.
“This is the House Judiciary Committee. Act like you know the difference.”
That’s rather hard when you have men like Jeffries assuming, without much evidence, that Lewandowski was Trump’s “bag man.”
And then there was Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: “You are obviously here to block any reasonable inquiry into the truth or not of this administration,” she said.
Lewandowski, not without reason, said he couldn’t provide an answer because it wasn’t a question but a “rant.”
There were contentious back-and-forth exchanges between members of the committee. Collins, the Georgia Republican, seemed to be involved in a belligerent exchange (really, reporters could wear out their thesauruses finding synonyms for “contentious” regarding this hearing) with plenty of Democratic committee members.
Nadler, at one point, said that he had “been asked several times today whether the committee will hold you in contempt.” I don’t see how this is going to stick, inasmuch as Congress proved itself awfully contemptible during this hearing.
Lewandowski, for his part, seemed up to the task, at one point seeming to mock Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell — the California congressman who tried to ride gun control to a White House bid and failed spectacularly — as “President Swalwell.”
If you need another reason aside from this clip to call the committee contemptible, consider this snippet from NBC News: “A top Democratic House Judiciary Committee source told NBC News Tuesday that ‘the point’ of the hearing had been to expose Trump to another possible pathway to impeachment: obstructing Congress by not fully complying with a subpoena.
“This source pointed to what Democratic committee leadership saw as Lewandoski’s repeated refusal to answer direct questions; the baseless privilege constraints the White House put on Lewandowski’s testimony; and the two White House lawyers seated behind him who effectively enforced it.”
In other words, there was never a particular attempt to discover facts in a bipartisan way. This “investigation” has already reached its conclusion before it’s begun. Which is to say it’s it’s not an actual investigation, just a partisan hunting expedition.
Don’t misconstrue this as an endorsement of Lewandowski’s Senate run. This is a man who has baggage that goes far beyond just simply being involved with Trump or the Mueller investigation. Just ask Michelle Fields.
That said, this hearing proved the entire House “investigation” against Donald Trump is a farce. It’s already reached its conclusion, which is that Trump is guilty and everyone around him must a “hitman” or “bag man” — potentially both.
Why even hold the hearings, then? Just deliver the findings to the wider House and be done with it.
These things may be amusing, but five hours of Jerrold Nadler trying to pretend to be angry and only looking foolish probably isn’t going to engender sympathy for the Democratic cause.
If the Democrats want to turn Congress into a circus, they shouldn’t be surprised when men like Lewandowski decide to play the clown.
This hearing never should have happened, and the only people the Democrats have to blame for it going off the rails is themselves.

Trump Thinks Iran Attacked Saudi Arabia
September 16, 2019
President Donald Trump has just revealed that it was possibly the country of Iran that was behind recent missile attacks on Saudi Arabia’s oil supply. But thankfully, Trump says this doesn’t mean we’re going to war.
When asked by reporters at the White House if Iran was responsible for the recent attacks, Trump responded:
“Well, it’s looking that way. We’ll let you know definitively. That’s being checked out right now.”
Trump also stated during a meeting with Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa that the U.S. “is more prepared” for a conflict than any country in history. Later, Trump clarified that this doesn’t actually mean we will have to fight a war:
“With all that being said, we’d certainly like to avoid it.”

President Trump says it's looking like Iran was responsible for attacks on Saudi Arabia oil facilities
President Trump said Monday it’s “looking like” Iran was responsible for weekend attacks on Saudi Arabia’s oil supply, and talked up the United States’ military might -- but said he wanted to “avoid” war.
“Well, it’s looking that way,” the president told reporters at the White House when asked if Iran was responsible. “We’ll let you know definitively.” He added: “That’s being checked out right now.”
Iran has denied involvement in the attacks, which came as tensions rise over Tehran's unraveling nuclear deal with world powers.

The president said the U.S. would not look at retaliatory options until he had “definitive proof” Iran was responsible.
During a meeting with Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, Trump talked up the United States’ weapons systems, including fighter jets and missiles. He said the U.S. “is more prepared” for a conflict than any country in history.
“With all that being said, we’d certainly like to avoid it,” he said of a conflict.

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels said they launched drone attacks on the world's largest oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia and a major oil field Saturday, sparking huge fires and halting about half of the supplies from the world's largest exporter of oil.
The attacks marked the latest of many drone assaults on the kingdom’s oil infrastructure in recent weeks, but easily the most damaging. They raised concerns about the global oil supply and could further escalate tensions across the Persian Gulf amid a growing crisis between the U.S. and Iran over the troubled nuclear deal.
The fires led to the interruption of an estimated 5.7 million barrels in crude supplies, as Saudi officials said part of that would be offset with stockpiles. Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil giant, planned to provide updated information in the coming days.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper attended an emergency National Security Council meeting on Sunday at the White House along with Vice President Pence, where military options were discussed, officials told Fox News.
On Monday afternoon, Esper said on Twitter he returned to the Pentagon from a meeting at the White House where Department of Defense leadership discussed the situation. The Defense Secretary said he spoke with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman, and Iraqi Minister of Defense al-Shammary about the recent attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities.
"The United States military, with our interagency team, is working with our partners to address this unprecedented attack and defend the international rules-based order that is being undermined by Iran," Esper said.
Earlier Monday in Austria, Energy Secretary Rick Perry placed the blame for the attack squarely on Iran.
"I want to reiterate that the United States wholeheartedly condemns Iran's attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and we call on other nations to do the same," Perry told reporters. “This behavior is unacceptable. It is unacceptable and they must be held responsible."

NY Times Reporters Insist Flawed Kavanaugh Story Is Not Their Fault, Claim Editors Removed Key Facts
By Joe Saunders
Published September 17, 2019 at 7:33am
As an explanation goes, it doesn’t explain much at all.
Two New York Times reporters made an appearance on MSNBC on Monday to discuss the newspaper’s handling of its latest smear against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and tried to blame a damning omission in the piece on sloppy editing — not on any intention to mislead readers.
But that just raises more questions — for example, why did the same reporters make the same omission in a radio interview last week?
In the interview Monday with Lawrence O’Donnell — that paragon of journalistic virtue who’s done his own share of baseless smearing recently — Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly claimed the article that was published online Saturday left out basic facts about an accusation against Kavanaugh because editors removed them.

Plot thickens.
Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly claim that the qualifier about the other alleged Kavanaugh accuser not remembering an incident at Yale was included in the initial NYT draft but removed.

As most readers probably know by now, it was a doozy: The report published by The Times claimed that at a college party at Yale in the 1980s, a drunken Kavanaugh had taken his pants off and that friends had somehow managed to push his penis into the hand of an unwilling woman.
The account was from an adapted excerpt of a book Pogrebin and Kelly have written about the Kavanaugh confirmation process.
What The Times’ story left out was the fact that, as the book noted, the woman in question did not talk to the authors and has told friends she has no recollection of the incident. That’s a huge element of the story, one that would tell most readers the whole tale is garbage.
The Times did not take any action to correct the matter until late Sunday evening, when it appended an editor’s note that stated only what had been left out. There was no explanatory note of the kind The Times often uses, such as “due to an editing error” or something similar.
But an “editing error” is what it was, Pogrebin and Kelly said on MSNBC.
“So somewhere in the editing process, those words were trimmed,” O’Donnell said.
Adapting the excerpt to comply with The Times’ style against using the names of alleged sexual assault victims might have led an editor to take out the whole passage, Pogrebin said.
“Ithink what happened actually was that we had her name and The Times doesn’t usually include the name of the victim,” she told O’Donnell. “And so I think in this case the editors felt like maybe it was probably better to remove it. And in removing her name, they removed the other reference to the fact that she didn’t remember it.”

Of course, editing mistakes happen in every part of the publishing field, but there are a couple of parts of the explanation that raise questions.
If the omission was the result of a good-faith error, why did it take so long for the “mistake” to be corrected and the editor’s note to be appended to the story? The original version was published Saturday. The note was not added until late Sunday.
Also, and possibly more important, Pogrebin’s answer to O’Donnell’s question about what role the reporters had played in the decision to attach the editor’s note was dubious.
“We felt like there was so much heat, there’s so much — everyone has been seizing on various aspects of this that we certainly didn’t want it to be an issue anymore and we certainly never intended to mislead in any way,” she told O’Donnell. “We wanted to give as full of a story as possible.”
“We felt like there was so much heat”? At a reputable news organization, the amount of “heat” coming from the public isn’t generally a factor when confronted with making a decision about correcting an error that destroys the whole basis of a story.
There’s no way of knowing exactly when the authors became aware of the problem with The Times article, but there is a way to know exactly how strongly they felt about how it should be corrected. And clearly, the “amount of heat” that was being raised played a role.
A reasonable conclusion from that is The Times wasn’t so concerned with correcting the record as it was about getting caught in the first place.
There were a lot of social media users who weren’t buying the “explanation.”

These two women are a disgrace to real victims. As a woman. These two should be prosecuted for making false allegations against Judge K. Women we can’t let other women get away with distorting the truth and facts without repercussions. This hurts real victims. This was political.
That last one sums it up. What Pogrebin and Kelly did wasn’t journalism, it was a political attack on a Supreme Court justice the left loathes. Every American who was awake during the 2018 Kavanaugh confirmation hearings should know that liberals in the media and the Democratic Party were willing to stoop to outrageous lies to smear Kavanaugh’s character, and that clearly hasn’t stopped.
And finally, there’s the fact that the omission wasn’t new to Pogrebin and Kelly’s efforts to promote their book.
Mollie Hemingway, the Federalist writer and co-author of a truly outstanding book about the Kavanaugh confirmation fight, “Justice on Trial,” reported in a tweet early Monday that Pogrebin and Kelly also did an interview on NPR where they made the same omission as The Times excerpt did.
The interview, with Terry Gross of “Fresh Air,” was recorded Thursday, according to NPR (the transcript is here). In it, the two Times reporters told Gross the story recounted by Democratic activist and Washington lawyer Max Steir but didn’t bring up the points about how they never actually interviewed the alleged victim, or that the woman has no recollection of it.
“In response to a question about any other women coming forward, the authors excitedly tell Max Stier story, never mentioning that they never spoke to the woman or that she denied it through friends,” Hemingway tweeted.
“Difficult to blame this on editing.”
It’s difficult for anyone with common sense to accept The Times explanation at face value. For anyone with a background in newspapers, it’s impossible.
Because as an explanation goes, it doesn’t explain much at all.

During an interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Malkin detailed how the Federal Reserve actually aids illegal aliens living in the United States through a federal remittance program, included in her latest book, Open Borders, Inc: Who’s Funding America’s Destruction?
“I was working on a section in Chapter One which is on the caravan cartel called ‘Banking on Illegals’ and I’d reported on this all the way back from the late 1990s on Bank of America and Wells Fargo and private institutions that were profiting,” Malkin said. “And in the middle of that research, I discovered the Federal Reserve, itself, was trying to hone in on this segment of the market with its own program to have a remittance program that is specifically marketed to illegal aliens in America.”

Recent analysis of U.S. Department of Labor data shows minority communities have made truly historic economic strides under the Trump administration.
And that analysis comes from, of all places, the Washington Post.
“For the first time, most new working-age hires in the U.S. are people of color,” Heather Long and Andrew Van Dam wrote Monday.
Under the Trump economy, 4.5 million minority hires have taken place, accounting for a staggering 86 percent of the 5.2 million jobs added since the 2016 election.
According to the Post, a “surge of minority women getting jobs has helped push the U.S. workforce across a historic threshold” in the last year, with minority hires ages 25 to 54 deemed “prime working age” overtaking those of white Americans.

For the first time, most new working-age hires in the United States are people of color. This surge, especially with minority women getting jobs, has helped push the American workforce across a historic threshold.
Trump has made the economy a focal point of his presidency since day one, often touting historic economic gains for communities of color in the face of constant opposition from progressive Democrats who continue to claim he is a racist.
These numbers have not helped the American left make that point, however. And the numbers are certainly not the first of their kind.
According to Labor Department data, black and Hispanic unemployment has repeatedly fallen to record lows under the Trump administration.

This August those record lows fell once more, with black unemployment at 5.5 percent — dropping below the previous record of 5.9 percent set in May 2018.
Hispanic unemployment is even lower, consistently registering below 4.6 percent and leading the outlet to suggest that the Trump economy has proven “there’s truth to John F. Kennedy’s sage observation that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats.'”
Peruvian immigrant Milagros Tasayco told the Post this economic tide has allowed her to work for the first time in years. Tasayco said the opportunities have not only helped her gain money, but also the priceless pride of her children and husband.
“Now there are more job opportunities, I think. I look for jobs that want English and Spanish speakers,” Tasayco said. “My children say, ‘Wow, Mommy, you have two jobs!’ My husband is proud, too.”

Of course, encouraging numbers month after month, year after year have not stopped the left-wing establishment media from attempting to foster recession fears over mild stagnation and several stock market dips.
Trump took aim at those naysayers Friday as the Labor Department’s report went live, tweeting that the only thing causing economic “uncertainty” in the U.S. was the “Fake News” media talking about the potential for one round-the-clock.
“The Economy is great. The only thing adding to ‘uncertainty’ is the Fake News!”

Trump finally wins battle in 9th Circuit Court
September 13, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
In a very shocking decision, President Trump finally won a major battle in the 9th Circuit Court.
The court ruled to roll back a previous decision made by Judge Jon Tigar, an Obama appointee, who had blocked Trump’s asylum policy from being installed, effectively giving their stamp of approval for Trump to move forward with planned asylum restrictions, according to the Daily Caller.
The New Policy
The legislation in question would require asylum seekers to file for asylum immediately after leaving the country they were fleeing.
If they did not follow this procedure, their asylum claim filed her after entering illegally would automatically be declined.
The only exception to this would be if they had followed the protocols and been declined asylum in their “second” country. If that happened, they would still be permitted to apply here in the states.
The case initially was put before Judge Tigar, who, as we stated above, is an Obama appointee. So, it was no surprise when he placed a nationwide injunction on the policy. The 9th Circuit Court, however, believes Tigar overstepped his authority.
While Tigar has the right to have the injunction within his jurisdiction, the 9th Circuit Court ruled he did not have the authority to place the injunction outside of that jurisdiction, so Trump’s policy would be allowed to be put into play along the New Mexico and Texas borders.
Strike Two
After the initial ruling by the 9th Circuit, Tigar issued another ruling to put the injunction back in place.
He stated, “The organizations have presented sufficient evidence that they will suffer organizational and diversion of resources harms unless the rule is enjoined outside of, as well as within, the 9th Circuit. A nationwide injunction is thus ‘necessary to give prevailing parties the relief to which they are entitled.’”
It took no time at all for the Trump administration to tear into Judge Tigar’s ruling, blasting a district court judge for trying to make a ruling that would impact the entire country.
The 9th Circuit appeared to agree with Trump because late Tuesday the court again rolled back Tigar’s decision everywhere but his own district, which encompasses Alaska, Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
The Trump administration appealed to the Supreme Court before Tigar could try to roll back the 9th Circuit Court decision again. On Wednesday night, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration with a 7–2 vote, with Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor

No stranger to antagonizing the American left, Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale has a plan to frustrate Democrats before their next 2020 presidential primary debate.
The Trump campaign is preparing to fly a massive banner rebuking socialism in Houston, Texas, in the hours leading up to a major Democratic primary debate set to take place in the city on Thursday night, according to ABC News.
“Socialism will kill Houston’s economy! VOTE TRUMP 2020,” the advertisement will read.
The banner will be flown over the city behind a plane from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will also feature a phone line viewers can text to receive updates on President Donald Trump’s re-election efforts.
The antagonistic feature cost the campaign a total of $7,500 from production to flight, according to The Hill, and will be accompanied by two full-page advertisements taking aim at candidates like Houston native Julian Castro and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts in local newspapers.

Parscale believes the price tag is well worth it to remind the Democratic hopefuls that their proposed policies would flat-line the city’s now booming economy.

With market gains still stacking up throughout Trump’s third year in office, his re-election efforts have focused heavily on the economy in recent months — particularly with Democrats pushing further left on issues like universal health care, universal basic income and tax reform.
Progressive candidates claim these policies will give low-income and minority Americans the boost they’ve long hoped for, but that has been a tough sell.
And that argument was all but put to bed Friday when newly released Department of Labor statistics indicated that 86 percent of the economy’s 5 million additional jobs have gone to people of color, according to the Washington Post.

Supreme Court Rules Trump's Border Asylum Policy Can Go Into Effect
By Randy DeSoto
Published September 11, 2019 at 5:40pm
The Supreme Court gave the Trump administration a major win on Wednesday, upholding a policy that requires anyone seeking asylum to apply in a third country first.
Fox News reported that on Monday, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had ended a nationwide injunction against the policy but allowed it to stay in effect within its jurisdiction, which includes the border states of California and Arizona.
The 9th Circuit’s decision partially overruled a decision by San Francisco-based federal district court Judge Jon Tigar, who had issued a nationwide injunction in July.
The Supreme Court’s 7-2 ruling is not a final decision on the merits of the case but does prevent any lower court from issuing an injunction against the policy while the litigation proceeds in the 9th Circuit and other jurisdictions.
President Donald Trump reacted to the high court’s decision by tweeting, “BIG United States Supreme Court WIN for the Border on Asylum!”

White House Pays Tribute to 9/11 Victims and First Responders: 'They Never Wavered'
By Jack Davis
Published September 11, 2019 at 8:27am
President Donald Trump led the nation’s tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks on Wednesday at a Pentagon memorial service, honoring those who lost their lives and warning any American enemy that seeks to attack the nation.
“For every American who lived through that day, the Sept. 11 attack is seared into our soul,” Trump said. “It was a day filled with shock, horror, sorrow and righteous fury.”
The president offered a direct message to the family members of the 184 people killed when a hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11.
“For the families who join us, this is your anniversary of personal and permanent loss,” he said. “It’s the day that has replayed in your memory a thousand times over: the last kiss, the last phone call, the last time hearing those precious words ‘I love you.’
“To each of you, the first lady and I are united with you in grief. We come here in the knowledge that we cannot erase the pain or reverse the evil of that dark and wretched day. But we offer you all that we have: our unwavering loyalty, our undying devotion and our eternal pledge that your loved ones will never, ever be forgotten.”

Trump, who was in Manhattan’s Trump Tower when the attacks took place, recalled the day from his perspective, speaking about how rumors flew about what had taken place a few blocks away at the World Trade Center.
“I was looking out of a window from a building in midtown Manhattan directly at the World Trade Center when I saw the second plane at a tremendous speed go into the second tower,” the president said.
“It was then that I realized the world was going to change,” he said
Trump issued a warning to any enemy who might think of replicating the attacks.
“We do not seek conflict, but if anyone dares to strike our land, we will respond with the full measure of American power and the iron will of the American spirit,” he said.
The president used the occasion to reference an aborted meeting he had scheduled with representatives of the Taliban.
“We had peace talks scheduled a few days ago. I called them off when I learned that they had killed a great American soldier from Puerto Rico and 11 other innocent people. They thought they would use this attack to show strength, but actually what they showed is unrelenting weakness,” Trump said, adding that in response the military has “hit our enemy harder than they have ever been hit before. And that will continue.”
“And if for any reason, they come back to our country, we will go wherever they are, and use power, the likes of which the United States has never used before. And I’m not even talking about nuclear power. They will never have seen anything like what will happen to them. No enemy on earth can match the overwhelming strength skill and might of the American armed forces,” he said.

But we offer you all that we have: our unwavering loyalty, our undying devotion and our eternal pledge that your loved ones will never, ever be forgotten.”

authorities arrested a pair of former top Federal Emergency Management Agency officials and a FEMA contractor in Puerto Rico on Tuesday in a corruption investigation.
Former deputy regional administrator Ahsha Nateef Tribble; Jovanda Patterson, Tribble’s chief of staff; and Donald Keith Ellison, former President of Cobra Acquisitions, LLC, were arrested on charges including “conspiracy to commit bribery, honest services wire fraud and disaster fraud,” according to CBS News.
The arrests come after two years of Democrats blaming President Donald Trump for criticizing Puerto Rico’s response to Hurricane Maria in 2017 when the storm devastated parts of the U.S. territory.

Trump has spent the same amount of time blaming Puerto Rico for botched emergency responses and the long recovery period.
Trump’s longstanding claims, however, have now been at least somewhat justified given the nature of the recent arrests.

Tribble was FEMA’s Region II Deputy Regional Administrator assigned to power recovery in the devastated region, according to official documents posted on Twitter by CBS reporter David Begnaud.
Ellison was president of Cobra Acquisitions, LLC, which CBS reported was “the main contractor for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority” and which “executed two contracts with the agency for a total value of $1.8 billion.”
According to the documents, Patterson resigned from FEMA so that she could work at Cobra Energy, LLC.

The trio allegedly used Tribble’s position and influence to enrich themselves during their deployment to restore Puerto Rico’s power grid after the storm.
That $1.8 billion in contracts was paid to Cobra through the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority using FEMA funds.
As time passed, the allegation states, Ellison tried to influence Tribble with gifts such as “personal helicopter use, hotel accommodations, airfare, personal security services, and the use of a credit card.”
“In exchange, Tribble performed official acts, including influence, advising, and exerting pressure on PREPA and FEMA officials, in order to award restoration work to COBRA and accelerate payments to COBRA.”
Tribble and Ellison are facing forfeiture of nearly $5 million.

“These defendants were supposed to come to Puerto Rico to help during the recovery after the devastation suffered from Hurricane Maria. Instead, they decided to take advantage of the precarious conditions of our electric power grid and engaged in a bribery and honest services wire fraud scheme in order to enrich themselves illegally,” U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez-Velez said in a statement, according to CBS.
The arrests and scandal are a blow to anti-Trumpers who claim the president was responsible for Puerto Rico’s slow recovery.
Trump already had significant evidence supporting his position, including numerous stories about corruption and incompetence.
The biggest takeaway from this entire debacle is that government is truly terrible at responding to its people’s needs. Yes, government is necessary for civil society to survive, but not being as directly beholden to the people as private companies, it can be slow, unresponsive, lazy and incompetent without paying nearly as high a price as private firms or individuals.
Any time someone begins talking about the wonders of socialized healthcare and government-run industry, just remember Hurricane Maria.

TRUMP CANCELS SECRET US MEETING WITH AFGHAN TALIBAN
By: BBC, September 8, 2019:
US President Donald Trump says he has called off peace negotiations with the Taliban that sought to end America’s 18-year war in Afghanistan.
Mr Trump tweeted he had been set to meet Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and senior Taliban leaders on Sunday.
BUT HE CANCELLED THE SECRET MEETING AT HIS CAMP DAVID RETREAT AFTER THE MILITANTS ADMITTED THEY WERE BEHIND A RECENT ATTACK THAT KILLED A US SOLDIER.
The Taliban said Americans will “lose the most” for cancelling.
The talks were due to take place a few days before the anniversary of 9/11.
The US invaded Afghanistan and overthrew the Taliban government in the autumn of 2001, because the militants had given safe haven to the al-Qaeda network to plan the attacks on the US on 11 September.
Meanwhile the office of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani – who would have met separately with Mr Trump at Camp David, according to the US president – said real peace would only be possible when the Taliban agreed to a ceasefire and direct talks with the Afghan government.
A face-to-face meeting with the Taliban at Camp David – the site of past historic peace negotiations – would have been an extraordinary diplomatic move by the US president, especially as it would have come just ahead of the 18th anniversary of 9/11.
The top US negotiator had announced a peace deal “in principle” on Monday.
It was the result of nine rounds of talks between the US and Taliban representatives, held in Doha, the capital of the Gulf state of Qatar.
But Mr Trump’s tweets on Saturday evening appeared to put an end to nearly a year of painstaking negotiations which had excluded the Afghan government in Kabul, dismissed by the Taliban as American puppets.
“Unfortunately, in order to build false leverage, [the Taliban] admitted to an attack in Kabul that killed one of our great great soldiers,” the president tweeted.
“I immediately cancelled the meeting and called off peace negotiations.”
Media captionTens of thousands of Afghan soldiers have been killed and injured. This is their story
As part of the proposed deal, the US would have withdrawn 5,400 troops within 20 weeks, in return for Taliban guarantees that Afghanistan would never again be used as a base for terrorism.
The US currently has about 14,000 troops in Afghanistan.
How have the various parties reacted?
In a statement, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said the talks were going well until Saturday.
Pulling out of the peace process before the signing of the agreement – because of one explosion – shows the US’s lack of maturity and experience, he added.
He also said that the Taliban and the Afghan government had agreed to talks on 23 September. The Afghan government has not confirmed this.
In a news conference in Kabul, a spokesperson for President Ghani simply repeated a long-standing wish for direct negotiation with the group

President Donald Trump was up early Saturday morning.
And one of his first orders of business this weekend was a biting admonishment of two Washington Post reporters on Twitter.
Philip Rucker and Ashley Parker were the subjects of Trump‘s no-holds-barred ire, and he did not mince words, alluding to a possible media pass revocation for the “two nasty lightweight reporters.”
“The Washington Post’s @PhilipRucker (Mr. Off the Record) & @AshleyRParker, two nasty lightweight reporters,” Trump wrote, “shouldn’t even be allowed on the grounds of the White House because their reporting is so DISGUSTING & FAKE.”
“Also, add the appointment of MANY Federal Judges this Summer!”

“The Washington Post’s Lost Summer” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/the-washington-posts-lost-summer …
The president and White House staffers have been on the warpath against The Post since Sunday, when Rucker and Parker published an article titled, “Trump’s lost summer: Aides claim victory, but others see incompetence and intolerance.”
The heavily editorialized piece claimed the summer was a political loss for Trump, suggesting the season had been devoid of policy strides.
In the eyes of the two reporters, Trump’s only success was a massive Independence Day celebration on the National Mall — one that the outlet and the rest of the establishment media had hardly covered and often scoffed at throughout June and July.
Rucker and Parker’s piece prompted a whirlwind offensive from the White House.
By Thursday, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley had published an rebuttal in the Washington Examiner.
In it, they fact-checked the article with a host of Trump’s summer accomplishments that they said been provided to The Post for its story but largely gone unmentioned in the final piece.
“The truth is, Trump racked up many well-documented victories that directly benefited the American people at home and abroad,” Grisham and Gidley wrote.

They went on to tally up The Post’s embarrassing summer losses — the worst being a bombshell racial piece that warranted 15 corrections, according to Fox News.

“The president’s statement fits into a pattern of seeking to denigrate and intimidate the press,” Washington Post executive editor Marty Baron said Saturday in response to Trump’s tweet, according to The Hill. “It’s unwarranted and dangerous, and it represents a threat to a free press in this country.”
“We stand fully behind [our reporters] and their important work,” Baron said.
Trump has in the past attempted to keep antagonistic reporters out of the White House briefing room — namely CNN’s Jim Acosta last November.
The move was widely unpopular, however, and Acosta’s media pass was quickly reinstated, Time reported.

Trump’s victories included, but were not nearly limited to, total student loan forgiveness for disabled veterans, becoming the first United States president to enter North Korea and the successful diversion of $3.6 billion toward the construction of wall segments on America’s southern border.
They went on to tally up The Post’s embarrassing summer losses — the worst being a bombshell racial piece that warranted 15 corrections, according to Fox News.

This is one case where the pictures really told the story.
A former Trump campaign aide who accused then-candidate Donald Trump of committing battery by forcibly kissing her at a campaign event in Florida in 2016 dropped her lawsuit against the president on Wednesday, according to The Daily Caller.
But even with witnesses debunking her story — and a video that basically shows it’s a sham — she’s still getting a sympathetic hearing from liberal reporters.
Alva Johnson, 43, filed a lawsuit in February claiming Trump grabbed her hand and kissed her on the mouth before a rally in Tampa.
The suit, which also accused Trump of gender and wage discrimination, was greeted with considerable attention by anti-Trump news outlets like CNN and The Washington Post.

However, numerous actual witnesses to the incident disputed Johnson’s version of events — including Pam Bondi, a woman who was attorney general of the state of Florida at the time, so probably has a fair understanding of what “battery” actually looks like.
“Do I recall seeing anything inappropriate? One hundred percent no,” Bondi told The Post in February. “I’m a prosecutor, and if I saw something inappropriate, I would have said something.”
A video of the incident released in July by Trump’s lawyers also showed Johnson’s claims were — to put it charitably — weak.

Seriously, that was it.
This is how Johnson’s lawsuit described that utterly innocuous encounter:
“In the moment that Defendant Trump forcibly kissed her, Ms. Johnson, a highly successful and widely respected Campaign staffer, felt reduced to just another object of Defendant Trump’s unwanted sexual attention. Ms. Johnson brings this lawsuit against Defendant Trump for that humiliating violation, which amounts to common law battery, and seeks assistance from the Court to put a stop to his predatory conduct.”
In June, a federal judge appointed by former President Barack Obama dismissed Johnson’s original case calling it a “political lawsuit” rather than a “tort and wages” lawsuit, The Daily Caller reported.

However, Judge William Jung said Johnson could amend the lawsuit, which meant it was still active.
At least it was until Wednesday, when Johnson decided to finally give it up.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, however, she claimed it wasn’t because the facts were against her — or because the video was grossly at odds with her account.
No. It was because Trump is just too powerful.
“I’m fighting against a person with unlimited resources, and repeatedly the judicial system has failed to find fault in his behavior,” Johnson told The Daily Beast in an interview Wednesday.
“That’s a huge mountain to climb.”

Muhammad Dahlan and the Deal of the Century

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: A controversial former security official and Abu Dhabi-based political operator, Muhammad Dahlan, has lurked for several years in the shadows of Palestinian politics. It is possible that he will emerge in an attempt to pave the way for US president Donald Trump’s much maligned “Deal of the Century” to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
President Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestine Authority, and Hamas, the Islamist group that controls the Gaza Strip, have condemned President Donald Trump’s proposed, yet-to-be-published “Deal of the Century.” They boycotted a conference in Bahrain in June organized by Jared Kushner, Trump’s negotiator and son-in-law, that focused on economic aspects of the proposal.
The Palestinian boycott followed Abbas’s earlier rejection of the US as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after the Trump administration recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, cut off funding, and closed down the Palestinian representation in Washington. Trump has since recognized the occupied Syrian Golan Heights as part of Israel.
At the Bahrain conference, which was attended by government officials and businessmen from the Gulf, the US, Europe, and Asia, Kushner unveiled a $50 billion investment plan, $28 billion of which would be earmarked for the creation of Palestinian jobs and reduction of poverty.
The Trump administration has said it would release political details of the peace plan only after the September 17 Israeli election so it does not become an issue in what appears to be a tight electoral race between PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party and former military chief Benny Gantz’s Blue and White party.
The Saudi and UAE crown princes, Muhammad bin Salman and Muhammad bin Zayed, have quietly sought to support the US peace effort that in Kushner’s words will deviate from the 2002 Arab peace plan by not calling for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Dahlan, who is believed to be close to the UAE’s Prince Muhammad as well as former Israeli defense minister Avigdor Lieberman, has played an important role in that effort, particularly with regard to UAE efforts to clip Hamas’s wings.
Dahlan went into exile in the UAE in 2007 after Hamas defeated his US-backed efforts to thwart the group’s control in Gaza. US President George W. Bush described Dahlan at the time as “our boy.”
Dahlan has since been indicted by Abbas’ PA on corruption charges.
In his latest move, Dahlan is reported to be considering establishment of a long muted political party, a move that would enjoy UAE and Egyptian support but could divide his following in Gaza.
Some of Dahlan’s supporters in the Democratic Reform Current, which remains part of Abbas’s Fatah movement, have argued in the past that a party would further fragment the Palestinian political landscape.
The revived talk of a party appears to be fueled by Israel’s facilitation of hundreds of millions of US dollars in Qatari support for Gaza’s health and education services as well as reconstruction.
Qatar, with its close ties to Islamist movements, has long supported Hamas, while Prince Muhammad’s visceral opposition to any expression of political Islam has pitted the UAE against the movement.
The two states’ diametrically opposed views of political Islam lie at the core of the rift in the Gulf, with the UAE alongside Saudi Arabia leading a more than two-year-old diplomatic and economic boycott of Qatar.
The revived talk follows a failed 2017 effort to negotiate Dahlan’s return to Gaza in talks with Hamas and representatives of Egyptian intelligence.
The deal would have involved Hamas sharing power with Dahlan in exchange for a loosening of the Israeli-Egyptian economic stranglehold on the impoverished Gaza Strip at a time when Abbas was refusing to pay the salaries of Gazan civil servants and Israel was reducing electricity supplies in a bid to force Hamas’s hand.
The talk of Dahlan’s making a political move comes against the backdrop of a broader, sustained UAE-Saudi effort to facilitate the US peace plan, despite the two states’ official insistence that East Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state, as well as counter-maneuvers by Qatar and its ally Turkey.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE sought to weaken Turkish efforts to exploit opposition to Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem to bolster its claim to leadership of the Muslim world and weaken Jordan’s role as the custodian of the Haram esh-Sharif in the city that is home to the Al Aqsa mosque, Islam’s third-holiest site.
Speaking earlier this year to an Arab media outlet believed to be close to Qatar, Kamal Khatib, an Israeli Palestinian Islamist leader, asserted that Dahlan, working through local businessmen, had unsuccessfully tried to acquire real estate adjacent to the holy site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, where Judaism’s two ancient temples once stood.
With approximately half its population of Palestinian descent, Jordan has walked a tightrope balancing a reluctance to endorse the Trump administration’s approach to Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking with its complex ties to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Unlike Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are not shackled by Palestinian demographics. They still need to tread carefully, however, in supporting an initiative that is widely believed to be designed to deprive Palestinians of independent statehood – domestic public sentiment might be volatile, and the plan could backfire and strengthen Hamas.
A formal re-entry into Palestinian politics by Dahlan could help resolve the UAE and Saudi dilemma that is accentuated by concern that too much pressure on Abbas to reverse his rejection of US mediation could boost Hamas, which is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Said one Gulf official: “We are trying to strike a delicate balance. The key in doing so is to strengthen moderates, not extremists” – the official’s code word for Hamas and other Islamists.

It’s no secret that one of President Donald Trump’s primary campaign promises was to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
In fact, he stuck to the promise from the very beginning of his campaign. Since then, the debate over building the wall has taken on a life of its own, becoming a cultural phenomenon in the process.
Yet three years after Trump’s election, there has been very little progress on the wall. But that’s about to change as early as January, according to CNN.
After repeated failed attempts to convince a Democrat-controlled House of Representatives to allocate funds for construction, Trump has apparently found a way to piece together a wall, much to the chagrin of his liberal counterparts.
That route is through the military. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has authorized the diversion of $3.6 billion in construction funds for 11 different wall projects on the border.
TRENDING: Whoopi Goldberg Takes a Shot at Debra Messing Targeting Trump Donors: 'The Next List That Comes Out, Your Name Will Be On'
The proposed projects will result in approximately 175 miles of new border barriers.
Predictably, Democrats are not pleased.
“This decision will harm already planned, important projects intended to support our service members at military installations in New York, across the United States, and around the world,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement.
“It is a slap in the face to the members of the Armed Forces who serve our country that President Trump is willing to cannibalize already allocated military funding to boost his own ego and for a wall he promised Mexico would pay to build.”
Do you think the military should be tasked with building the wall?

What Schumer doesn’t seem to understand is that fulfilling campaign promises hardly constitutes “ego,” nor does authorizing the military to secure our border constitute “a slap in the face.”
On the contrary, one could argue that the military has no greater purpose than securing our homeland from foreign threats.
Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island, the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, also jumped on the hate train.
“This isn’t just an attempt to shift funding, it’s a bid to shift power away from Congress to the president. Clearly, this administration is trying to circumvent Congressional authority and this ill-advised attempt should be legally challenged and struck down by the courts,” he said.
No, Senator Reed, it is just an attempt to shift funding. The Pentagon has the authority to fund military projects, and I’m sure securing our leaky border is more urgent than constructing a new building at West Point.

Nevertheless, the American Civil Liberties Union is intent on following through with Reed’s challenge to sue, as it announced Tuesday that “it would seek a court order blocking use of the funds as part of its lawsuit challenging the president’s abuse of emergency powers to secure funds for a wall Congress denied.”
Bring it on, ACLU.

Sadiq Khan should have reconsidered.
The London mayor has a history of tangling with President Donald Trump, but choosing to attack the president for electing to stay in the United States while a major hurricane was threatening the Atlantic coast was probably not the best move he’s ever made.
And Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday to let him know it.
The brouhaha started with a Khan quote mocking Trump for opting out of an event in Poland on Sunday commemorating the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s invasion of Poland, which started World War II.
Vice President Mike Pence did attend the Warsaw ceremony and delivered a stirring speech, according to The Washington Times.

But that wasn’t good enough for Khan.
“He’s clearly busy dealing with a hurricane out on the golf course,” the London mayor told Politico.
(Obviously, Khan thought the president should have spent every hour stateside glued to the Weather Channel for updates on Hurricane Dorian.)
In two Twitter posts Tuesday morning, Trump fired back.
Do you think Trump was right about Sadiq Khan's comments?

“The incompetent Mayor of London, Sadique [sic] Kahn, was bothered that I played a very fast round of golf yesterday. Many Pols exercise for hours, or travel for weeks. Me, I run through one of my courses (very inexpensive). President Obama would fly to Hawaii,” Trump wrote.
“Kahn should focus on ‘knife crime,’ which is totally out of control in London. People are afraid to even walk the streets. He is a terrible mayor who should stay out of our business!”

For Khan, who’s the titular leader of one city, to criticize the leader of a country of 320 million for staying at home because the country faced a very real threat from Mother Nature was out of bounds.
And to ludicrously suggest that having decided to not fly to Poland, Trump should have stayed inside all day watching television is simply inane.

Khan’s London has enough of its own problems — like the knife violence Trump referred to — that the mayor could spend his time more profitably if he concerned himself with them instead.
As usual, liberals swarmed over the Trump tweets. But there were some sane responses too.

Khan should focus more on London’s problems then attacking President Trump.
But we all know he won’t, because he wants to distract from the failure he has been as a mayor.

There might be an argument made that Trump’s time could have been better spent — that trip to Poland wouldn’t have been a problem at all as the storm has developed. And honoring an ally like the Polish government is always important.
But for a mayor like Khan to insult the president of the United States doesn’t prove he’s smart, or sophisticated or anything else liberals consider themselves these days.
It just proves he hates Trump and will say just about anything to prove it.
Trump was right. Khan should stick to his own troubled city’s business. The U.S. can take care of itself.

Trump’s take on hospital visits with mass shooting victims challenged by media
September 2, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
After President Donald Trump visited victims of the El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio shootings, he told reporters that “doctors were coming out of the operating rooms” to meet him.
The media — including The Washington Post — is now fact-checking Trump on this statement, asserting that under no circumstances would any doctor leave an operating room during a procedure to meet the president.
Fact-Checking Trump
Trump made his statement several days after his visit to counter media reports that victims and their families did not want him in their city or anywhere near them in the hospital.
While there were some who apparently did not want to meet with Trump, there were plenty of families more than willing to meet with him. In fact, victims that had already been released from the hospital returned to visit with the president.
Now, regarding his statement, perhaps he simply meant that doctors were coming out after their operations were over, or perhaps he was exaggerating just a bit to make his point.
The Double Standard
It is a fairly safe assumption to make that in the modern era, politicians can sometimes be prone to embellishment.
This is not a justification of such an act, but it can and does happen. Rarely, however, does the media make a big deal about it. Today, though, political reporters analyze every word Trump utters, in and out of context.
That would be fine if they were doing that with everyone, but that is far from the case. Just look at the statements made by Joe Biden as proof of the double standard in today’s media and how it works overtime to report negatively about Trump.
Biden recently stated that he was in office when students impacted by the Parkland school shooting visited him. The problem is that he was long out of office when that tragedy occurred.
Even more recently, Biden completely misstated the details of the story of a soldier to whom he presented a medal, but the media just blew it off as “Joe being Joe.”

“Seinfeld” actor John O’Hurley said on Monday he is “embarrassed” for “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing after she called for supporters of President Donald Trump in Hollywood to be publicly named.
“Please print a list of all attendees please. The public has a right to know,” Messing tweeted in response to a Hollywood Reporter article about Trump participating in a Beverly Hills fundraiser.
The Reporter noted the Sept. 17 event falls just days after the Emmy Awards, which brings together many of Tinseltown’s elite.

O’Hurley — best known for his longstanding role as J. Peterman, Elaine’s boss, on “Seinfeld” — weighed in on his fellow actors’ requests for Trump supporters to be outed, calling it “obscene.”

Gingrich: Obama, Loretta Lynch Knew FBI Was Spying on Trump Campaign

Sunday on New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich argued that it is not “conceivable” for neither former President Barack Obama nor his Attorney General Loretta Lynch to not know the FBI was spying on the Donald Trump campaign.
Gingrich told host John Catsimatidis after the recent release of the Department of Justice’s inspector general report that it is “clear” the fix was in and those involved will not be prosecuted.
“With everything we’re learning from the inspector general‘s report, how is it conceivable that the attorney general and the president didn’t know about it?” asked Gingrich. “So, part 1 is to go back and look at 2015, 2016, and ask, given what a hands-on and dynamic president that Barack Obama was, do you really believe all these things happened and the attorney general and the president didn’t know it?”

President Donald Trump reacted Monday to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka’s appearance criticizing the president on Fox News.
“Just watched AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on Fox News and thought to myself how different he is on TV than he is when he is with me at the White House,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
He noted Trumka, “likes what we are doing until the cameras go on” suggesting the union leader was different with him when he visited the White House.
On Fox News Sunday, Trumka criticized Trump’s new USMCA trade deal with Canada and Mexico and for taking on China “the wrong way.”
Trump reminded Trumka he was the only modern American president to take on China and other bad trade deals like NAFTA.
