An official with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts said during a Wednesday afternoon press conference that underwater "banging noises" have been detected in the area where teams are searching for the submersible that went missing Sunday during its trip to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean to visit the wreck of the Titanic.

But officials repeated cautions during the news conference that they aren't sure about the origins of those noises and that acoustic experts have been analyzing the "multiple reports" of such sounds.

Noises have been picked up close to where the submersible ended contact with its control ship, National Public Radio reported, adding that experts say the submersible — which is carrying five people — contains an oxygen supply that may run out early Thursday morning.

NPR added that the U.S. Coast Guard said a Canadian maritime surveillance plane detected the noises and that underwater search efforts had been moved to location of the noises — but remotely operated underwater drones had "yielded negative results."

"You have to remember that it's the wreck site of the Titanic, so there is a lot of metal and different objects in the water around the site," U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. John Mauger said in an interview with CBS News on Wednesday morning, according to NPR.

Due to the size and remoteness of the search area — larger than Connecticut on the surface and over 2 miles deep — efforts to locate the vessel are complicated, NPR said.

Several commercial vessels have joined the effort since Sunday, including a ship that's designed to lay pipes on the ocean floor. Combined with the resources from the Canadian and U.S. Coast Guards, at least three of the vessels on site or en route are capable of deploying remotely operated diving robots.
One Canadian Coast Guard ship on the scene, the John Cabot, has side-scanning sonar capabilities, the U.S. Coast Guard said on Wednesday.

Also en route is the Canadian Ship Glace Bay, which contains a mobile decompression chamber and is staffed with medical personnel.
The design of the submersible, called Titan, allows it to be unsealed only from the outside, NPR said, adding that passengers would need outside help to emerge from it.

The outlet said Titan lost contact with its support ship less than two hours after it first entered the water Sunday — and after it had already descended more than halfway to the wreck of the Titanic.

Those onboard the Titan include pilot Stockton Rush, the head of OceanGate, the company that developed the submersible; Paul-Henri Nargeolet, a French underwater wreck expert who has written about the Titanic and visited the wreck dozens of times; British entrepreneur Hamish Harding; and father-son Pakistani nationals Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, NPR reported.

The outlet added that a former passenger of the Titan said traveling in it was like being in a "minivan without seats" and noted that its interior design relies on "off-the-shelf parts," including a video-game controller for steering.

OceanGate offers tourists — who pay $250,000 per person — an underwater voyage to explore the remains of the Titanic after traveling 380 miles offshore and 2.4 miles below the surface, NPR said, adding that a full trip can take eight days and include multiple dives.

The discovery of the passage by her mother, being referred to as Maggie, explained the shift in mood and mental health that her daughter had inexplicably been going through.

The daughter had been exhibiting signs of grief, anxiety, and depression. She was also put in therapy, as the mother insisted that the girl must have been bullied at school.

Months after the alleged incident, parents pressed the girl about the diary entry, and the young girl admitted that the attack took place. The family took the girl in for a physical exam and began questioning the school. The mother reportedly concluded that the alleged horrific act was only made possible because the school embraced gender ideology.

“We learned that kids were pledging allegiance to the Pride flag instead of the American flag,” Maggie said. “We learned that some teachers were discussing daily the normalcy of transgender people and gender dysphoria and that this school had a higher population than anyone would expect for such a small school of kids saying they were trans and parents not knowing.”

The young girl also reportedly said the school pushed a far-left culture that pressured her to accept men in women's spaces. The students were allegedly taught to avoid improperly "judging" transgender people.

The Independent Women's Forum asked ASK Academy CEO Edward Garcia for comment and clarity on the bathroom policies. Garcia reportedly responded that the school is an “inclusive learning environment for all students” and added the school does “not discriminate against any student.”

Garcia denied claims that sexual harassment and assault were commonly trending at ASK Academy. Garcia allegedly did not respond when asked if girls’ facilities are open to biological boys.

The now 13-year-old girl doesn't hold sympathy for similar transgender-inclusive situations and said, “By them saying the only thing that matters is how they feel and not how I feel is very selfish of them."

“If they want their own bathroom, then gladly get your own bathroom. If you want your own sports, get your own sports. If you want to be included, be included in your own way that doesn't cause danger to everyone else," she added.

“I saw the power in [the dark arts] and how it actually elevated a lot of my friends in the music industry before they passed away,” he says.

The suspected depravity was confirmed when Levy attended a house party, where upstairs he found naked old men and children.

Suspicion only worsened when Levy told his friends about the perversion he had seen at the party, and they discovered that the house was owned by someone with strong ties to the Satanic Temple. Levy was then introduced to people whom he describes as “awake to the occult,” people who wanted him to join their union.

Disturbed and fearful, Levy began speaking out about the horrors he had seen, specifically addressing pedophilia. That’s when the backlash came.

Unfortunately, the people who engage in these satanic practices are the ones who win “the best of the best awards” and are invited to “the best parties … the best clubs. That’s just how it works,” he laments.

But it doesn’t stop there. Levy tells Whitlock that several music companies actually promote the music they think will have the most catastrophic impacts.

“A lot of the music companies that are running these artists,” he says, “will sit together and be like, okay we need to see which of our rapper artists is going to kill the most people and cause the most people to kill each other through psychological warfare … which song on this list is going to cause a giant amount of children to start wanting to shoot each other, to start wanting to use guns for the wrong things.”

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced late last month that he is running for president in 2024. In an apparent effort to distinguish himself from better-performing candidates in the Republican field, Christie — presently ranked seventh on average with less than two points to his name in the polls — has come out in support of child gender transition surgeries.

The Republican presidential candidate told CNN's Jake Tapper during his Sunday appearance on "State of the Nation" that he doesn't think "the government should ever be stepping into the place of the parents in helping to move their children through a process where those children are confused or concerned about their gender."

Tapper prompted the response in part by referencing Christie's past support for the transgender agenda.

Rebuffing the warnings of groups like the NJ Family Policy Council, Christie ratified Democrat legislation (S-3067/A-465) in 2017, barring public school districts from requiring transvestic students to use bathrooms or locker rooms corresponding with their biological sex.

As the result of this law, schools in the state are required to allow students to dress in accordance with their "gender identity," keep parents in the dark about a student's "transgender or transition status," and allow students to participate in gym sports with members of the opposite sex.

The LGBT lobby group Garden State Equality celebrated Christie at the time, stating, "Governor Christie took a stand for LGBT youth in New Jersey by signing this important legislation, and he deserves our thanks," reported the Gothamist.

The head of Garden State Equality noted on Twitter that Christie "did good today" and welcomed him "to come sit at the gay beach" — referencing an incident where the former governor was photographed sunbathing on a state beach he had ordered closed to the public.

In reply to Tapper, who noted that other Republicans were "going in the opposite direction" of the LGBT activist-affirming efforts he employed as governor, Christie said, "The fact is that folks who are under the age of 18 should have parental support and guidance and love as they make all of the key decisions of their life, and this should not be one that is excluded by the government in any way."

While the former governor is presently supportive of conversion therapies that seek to alter a patient's sex organs, he previously banned conversion therapies intended to alter sexual preferences.

Christie said at the time of the 2015 ban that on "issues of medical treatment for children, we must look to experts in the field to determine the relative risks and rewards," reported Fox News Digital.

"I believe that exposing children to these health risks without clear evidence of benefits that outweigh these serious risks is not appropriate," added Christie.

Unlike Christie, other declared Republican presidential candidates oppose child gender surgeries and irreversible puberty blockers for minors.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said in May, "You shouldn't allow a child to have gender-changing procedure until the age of 18 when they are an adult and they can make that decision. But we shouldn't have taxpayer dollars going to that," reported WCIV-TV.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has not simply condemned the transmogrification of minors with gender dysphoria but also banned the practice outright in the state of Florida.

Vivek Ramaswamy said he would implement a nationwide ban on so-called "gender-affirming care for minors," noting it's "actually the compassionate thing to do for children. ... Affirming their confusion is ... cruelty. For most of our history, we have viewed that as a mental health disorder. That's not a stigma. That's actually the first sign to asking how we, as adults and leaders, help our children by protecting them."

Former Vice President Mike Pence told the Des Moines Register, "If there was a move in the Congress to protect children from this radical gender ideology and to ban chemical or surgical transition treatment for kids under the age of 18, you bet I would support it."

Trump vowed in video posted to Truth Social in January that if re-elected, "madness will end": Men would no longer be able to compete in women's sports; federal law would recognize only two genders; sex-change surgeries on minors would be banned; and doctors responsible would be punished.

Christie, who trails Trump in the polls by roughly 50 points, tweeted Sunday, "Just hit 15k donors. Don't worry Donny, I'm coming."

President Joe Biden left many perplexed when he ended a speech about gun control in Connecticut by saying, "God save the Queen." Queen Elizabeth died last year.

President Biden gave a speech on Friday at the National Safer Communities Summit in West Hartford, Connecticut. Biden said, "We’ve reached a tipping point in this nation" with gun violence during his speech at the University of Hartford.

Biden compared American soldiers serving in the Middle East to children in U.S. schools.

And, folks — folks, there’s a — there’s a lot — a lot we have to do. And it takes courage to tell the story that you’ve been through, because, you know, I spent a lot of time as president, and I spent 30-some times — visits — many more days in Afghanistan and Iraq. And I watch. You know, we have post-traumatic stress, they call it, for soldiers. What’s the difference between the post-traumatic stress that a soldier meets in the hills of Afghanistan and a four- — a fourth-grade kid meets in a classroom when they have to duck and cover? No, I’m serious.
President Biden has been inconsistent in how many times he claimed to have visited Afghanistan and Iraq.

In May 2022, Biden said, "I’ve been in and out of Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq, I mean Iraq over 50 times, 48 times."

In December 2022, Biden declared, "And, you know, I think that there’s a — I’ve been in and out — not as a, obviously, combatant — but in and out of Afghanistan and Iraq and these areas 38, 39 times as — not as President, only twice as President, but from the time I was a senator, but particularly when I was Vice President."

However, the Biden administration admitted in 2019 that the actual number of visits made to Afghanistan and Iraq is 21.

PolitiFact noted in March 2022, "The last time he was in Iraq appears to be in 2016. For Afghanistan, it was in 2011."

Biden claimed during his speech, "And in most cities — down in Philadelphia and New York, areas I know well — like up here — you’d see a truck pull up, pull to the curb, and selling weapons — selling guns, selling AR-15. Selling weapons. Well, guess what? You do that now, you go to jail."

Biden later uttered an infamous and quizzical line that he previously used on the 2020 campaign trail.

The 80-year-old president said on Friday, "If that’s the truth, now, don’t make a lie. As that — as that scene in the John Wayne movie, 'Don’t make me a dog-faced, lying pony soldier.'"

Biden said the same term as an insult to a New Hampshire voter in February 2020.

Progressive outlets Slate, Vox, and The Guardian could not find the quote in any of John Wayne's movies.

Biden – a self-described "gaffe machine" – ended his gun control speech by saying, "All right? God save the Queen, man."

Queen Elizabeth II died on Sept. 8, 2022. Biden attended her funeral. Britain's longest-serving monarch was replaced by her son, King Charles III.

Biden's statement baffled Todd Gillman, the White House correspondent for the Dallas Morning News.

"Several of you have asked me why he might have said that,” Gillman said on Friday. "I have no idea. Other pooler likewise have no idea."

The White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary, Olivia Dalton, told reporters that Biden was "commenting to someone in the crowd."

A confused Biden also needed guidance to know which direction to walk off stage following his speech.

The terms "God save the Queen" and "dementia" were featured in Twitter's trending topics of "politics" on Friday and Saturday.

An Australian man scarfed down a poisoned Snickers bar in a courtroom at the same time as the guilty verdicts for child sex crimes were being read, according to reports.

A man was convicted of four "serious" child sex crimes that involved the daughter of his partner. The man, said to be in his mid-70s, was not named because it would allow the underaged victim to be identified.

The Canberra Times reported, "In an opening address, prosecutor Fiona Martin said it was alleged the offending took place between 1991 and 2000 while the girl was aged between four and 14 years old."

The man from the Australian city of Portland was in Warrnambool County Court in the state of Victoria on Friday. During the trial, the convicted pedophile took out a Snickers chocolate bar from his pocket.

Warrnambool Standard crime reporter Andrew Thomson noticed that the man began eating the Snickers candy bar. Thomson said a bailiff told the man that eating is prohibited in court. However, the man continued to eat the chocolate bar.

"He then told the custody staff he had poisoned himself as he had laced the chocolate bar with rat poison," Thomson wrote.

The man "remained in custody despite his declaration and later collapsed in the Warrnambool police station cells, breaking a finger," according to the Daily Mail.

The man was transported to the Warrnambool Base Hospital, where he was treated for poisoning. He spent time recovering in the hospital's intensive care unit and needed medication. The man's condition improved, and he was returned to jail.

The convicted pedophile is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 11, when he will face a preliminary sentence hearing.

Last August, a Texas man convicted of child sex abusedrank a mystery liquid that ended up being poison.

"As these verdicts were being read, he chugged a bottle of water he had at counsel table," said Denton County Assistant District Attorney Jamie Beck.

The convicted pedophile was pronounced dead at the hospital from consuming the poison. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that consuming a deadly amount of sodium nitrite was the cause of the man's death.

A California man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of starting a forest fire that destroyed nearly 200 buildings, according to authorities. The suspect faces multiple felony charges.

Edward Fredrick Wackerman – a 71-year-old man from Mariposa, California – was arrested on suspicion of aggravated arson, arson that causes great bodily injury, and arson causing damage or destruction of inhabited structures, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also known as Cal Fire.

The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said in a statement: "Through an extensive investigation Wackerman, a local Mariposa resident, was identified as the suspect responsible for igniting the Oak Fiire in July 2022."

"The arrest and comprehensive investigation were a collaborative effort between multiple agencies consisting of CAL FIRE Law Enforcement, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, United States Forest Service (USFS) Law Enforcement, National Park Service Law Enforcement, Madera County District Attorney Investigators, Mariposa County District Attorney’s Office, California Department of Justice Attorney General’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)," the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office stated.

Three self-identified U.S. Marines were beaten up and stomped on by a crowd of teenagers after the group was confronted for being unruly on a California beach, police said.

Videos from the Friday incident at the San Clemente Pier Bowl area appeared on social media and showed a large group of teenagers assaulting the Marines.

Hunter Antonino, one of the victims attacked, told KCAL-TV that the group of teenagers were acting belligerent and firing off firecrackers at the beach. He said that he asked them to stop and that's when he was hit in the head with debris and the altercation began.

Video from social media showed one teenager throwing a punch from behind one of the victims and starting the melee.

Two of the victims end up in the fetal position on the ground while the teens viciously punch and kick at them.

Eventually two other adults break up the crowd and end the attack.

A missing woman was found alive inside a car that was submerged in a lake by the crew hired to drag the car out onto land.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that the woman had been missing since Wednesday but was rescued from the submerged car on Friday, two days later.

A photograph released by the sheriff's office showed two men pulling the woman into their boat next to the vehicle in Lake o’ the Pines.

The unidentified woman had been reported missing by the Longview Texas Police Dept.

She was hospitalized, but her condition has not been released to the public.

The vehicle, a black jeep, was first noticed in the large lake by a fisherman. It was about 40 feet away from Woody's Camp Boat Ramp.

"We do not know how long the Jeep was in the water," said Capt. Chuck Rogers to NPR.

Feminist author Naomi Wolf offered a formal apology to conservatives who "put America first" after reviewing newly-released footage of the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot.

"Peaceful Republicans and conservatives as a whole have been demonized by the story told by Democrats in leadership of what happened that day," Wolf said in a lengthy post on Substack Thursday.

"Republicans, conservatives, I am sorry. I also believed wholesale so much else that has since turned out not to be as I was told it was by NPR, MSNBC and the New York Times," Wolf also said.

"Anyone in leadership who misrepresented to the public the events of the day so as to distort the complexity of its actual history — must also be held accountable," she added.

Wolf compared the release of the new January 6 footage to Daniel Ellsberg's release of the Pentagon Papers, noting that Leftists lionized the latter while condemning the former.

A Georgia father of five was found dead, rolled up in plastic and carpet on the side of the road after vanishing on a business trip in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

42-year-old Nathan Millard from Covington, Georgia, went missing after he visited Happy's Irish Pub across from his hotel on the night of February 22. Millard's wife told WSB-TV that he had gone to a college basketball game before heading to the bar.

His body was later found on the side of the road behind a funeral home six miles away from the last place he was seen. He was wrapped in plastic inside a carpet.

Police said there were no signs of blunt force trauma or gunshot wounds on the body. According to a preliminary report, the medical examiner found no external or internal trauma on the body. A final autopsy report will include toxicology findings.

"We don't have any indication that there was any foul play involved," said Captain Kevin Heinz of the violent crimes unit of the Baton Rouge Police. "We are looking into how he ended up where he was."

An 11-year-old Mainer confronted school board members by reading aloud from "smut" available at the Windham Middle School library, the Maine Wire reported Thursday.

"When I [checked out "Nick and Charlie"] to show my dad it, the librarian asked if I wanted more and if I wanted a graphic novel version," said Knox Zajac, speaking before the Windham Raymond School Board's meeting held February 15.

Knox said he'd found the book on display on a stand at his school's library.

Knox, still at a tender-enough age that he mispronounced "library" without the final "r," read a brief, sex-drenched passage from "Nick and Charlie" to school board members.

The passage contains a graphic, blow-by-blow description of a sexual encounter between two boys. The passage also contains profanity.

After Knox read the passage, his father, Adam Zajac came to the lectern to offer his thoughts.

"Listen to the parents," Adam Zajac said, tapping a copy of "Gender Queer" on the lectern for emphasis. "I will be more than happy to focus my time and effort to the security of my child and children in this school."

Former President Clinton aide who had ties to Epstein died by suicide, police say, though questions remain
A former special assistant to President Bill Clinton who also had ties to Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, a new sheriff's office report says, though questions regarding his death remain.
On May 7, 2022, 59-year-old Mark Middleton was discovered deceased at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas, about 30 miles from his home in Little Rock. He was reportedly found sitting next to a tree with an extension cord wrapped around his neck. The other end of the cord was attached to a tree limb above him.
"I could see the male was obviously deceased," Perry County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Lawson wrote in the report. Lawson arrived on the scene after ranch employee Samantha McElroy, 46, reported an abandoned vehicle — a black BMW SUV, which deputies later discovered belonged to Middleton.
Though the extension cord may have contributed to his demise, Middleton's ultimate cause of death was the gunshot wound he sustained to his chest, an assessment Sheriff Scott Montgomery made just a few weeks after Middleton was found.

Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin issued a response to accusations that he had worn a blasphemous design on his jacket to the Super Bowl.

Hamlin made national headlines when he suffered a cardiac arrest after a tackle during a football game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals in week 17 of the season. Medical professionals had to restore his heartbeat on the field before he was rushed to a hospital.

Hamlin made a remarkable recovery and attended the Super Bowl only six weeks later, where he participated in a ceremony honoring the medical team that saved his life.

While most applauded Hamlin, some were incensed and angered by what appeared to be a disrespectful image of Jesus Christ on his jacket. Among those were former NFL star Adrian Peterson, who called the jacket blasphemous on social media.

"We all fall short but cmon man! I find this disrespectful!!" Peterson added on the post.

Hamlin responded on Wednesday in a pair of tweets from his social media account.

"After talking with my parents I understand how my coat could have offended some people. It was never my intentions to hurt or disrespect anyone, the coat is abstract art to me," said Hamlin.

Peterson later indicated that he had reached out to Hamlin and spoken to him about his concerns. Some on social media have circulated conspiracy theories claiming that Hamlin had been replaced by a clone in order to protect the NFL.

Hamlin attributed his recovery to God in a video statement weeks after his injury.

"What happened to me on Monday Night Football, I feel, is a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love directly from my heart with the entire world," Hamlin said.

Football fans and others contributed to a charity Hamlin had set up prior to his injury to benefit children in his hometown of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. The foundation expanded its mission after receiving more than $9 million in donations.
"And now I'm able to give it back to kids and communities all across the world who need it the most, and that's always been my dream," he added. "That's always been what I stood for and what I'll continue to stand for."

The mother of a Houston restaurant robber who was fatally shot by a customer earlier this month said the customer who pulled the trigger multiple times "abused" her son in that moment, KRIV-TV reported.

"I don’t hate him. I can't hate him," Corine Goodman told the station in reference to the unnamed customer in a recent interview. "But I want to know why didn’t you stop? If you had to kill him, I can deal with that. I can come to grips with that. He did something wrong. I understand that. But for him to be shot four times in the back leaving, and when he falls down, he shoots him four more times? You abused him. He was dead already. And that hurt. That hurts."

What's the background?
Houston police told KHOU-TV in the station's original story that an armed man in a mask entered Ranchito Taqueria on South Gessner near Bellaire Boulevard just before 11:30 p.m. Jan. 5 and demanded money and wallets from customers.

KHOU said in its broadcast that it froze the surveillance video before shots were fired but that the full video shows the robber being shot multiple times. KPRC-TV in its video report said nine shots were fired.


Customer who shot robber returned stolen money
Police told KPRC that the customer who shot the robber retrieved the stolen money from the robber’s pocket and returned the money to other patrons. In fact, KPRC said the customer could be heard on surveillance video saying, “Come get your money.”

KPRC added that video showed the customer discovering the robber's gun was fake and throwing it against a wall in anger. Investigators told KHOU the robber's gun was a plastic pistol.

Finally, the customer walked to the door, dumped a beverage on the robber lying on the floor, and walked out, KPRC said.

Those inside the restaurant departed before police arrived, KHOU said, adding that there were no reported injuries among customers or restaurant staff.

Houston homicide investigators later questioned the restaurant customer who fatally shot the robber. While the customer wasn't arrested, charged, or named, a grand jury will review the case to determine whether charges against him are warranted.

What do we know about the robber?
The robber in this case has been identified as 30-year-old Eric Eugene Washington, KHOU said, adding that court records indicate this wasn't his first robbery.

In 2013, he and others were charged with capital murder after a man was killed during an armed robbery, according to prosecutors. The charge was later changed to aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and Washington was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

It's unclear exactly when he was released, but the most recent time he was arrested was Dec. 16 when authorities said he pushed his girlfriend to the ground and scratched her. Washington was charged with misdemeanor family violence and was released on a personal recognizance bond.

"What he did, I don’t condone. He knew better. He never said anything that made me think he would go this route," Goodman added to KRIV in regard to her son robbing restaurant customers. "He started working. He was striving because he said, 'Mom, when you send someone to penitentiary, it breaks you.'"

In fact, Goodman added to the station that hours before the robbery, her son promised her that he'd do better: "Thursday morning was the last time he called me. He said, 'Mom, son to mother, I’m trying to be the best person I can be.'"

She also told KRIV that Washington welcomed a newborn son four months ago — and that while she knew he was struggling financially, Goodman never realized her son was that desperate for help.

"He’s not the monster that people picture him to be," Goodman added to the station.

The customer's lawyer speaks
Criminal defense attorney Juan Guerra Jr. is representing the customer who fatally shot Washington, and Guerra released a statement Monday, according to KRIV:

"My Client who wishes to remain anonymous was dining with a friend at El Ranchito Taqueria, and as it has been seen on video, a robbery suspect entered the restaurant, pointed a weapon at my client and the other customers demanding money. In fear of his life and his friend’s life, my client acted to protect everyone in the restaurant. In Texas, a shooting is justified in self-defense, defense of others, and in defense of property. The customer has met with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and Investigators with HPD homicide. He fully intends to continue cooperating with the ongoing investigation. When the investigation is complete, this case will be presented to a Grand Jury. We are confident that a Grand Jury will conclude that the shooting was justified under Texas Law. This event has been very traumatic; taking a human life is something he does not take lightly and will burden him for the rest of his life. For that reason, he wishes to remain anonymous. Due to the overwhelming coverage, we ask the media and the public to respect his privacy."

A man who allegedly raped his 14-year-old daughter was taken into custody Tuesday night by Detroit police. When officers first found him, it was abundantly clear that friends and neighbors had administered some preemptive justice.

What are the details?
The alleged child rapist had reportedly been chased around a neighborhood near Pembroke St. and Greenfield Rd. before the victim's relatives finally caught up with him.

In graphic footage obtained by 7 Mile Radio News, persons purportedly related to the victim can be seen castigating him for allegedly raping his own daughter while waiting for police and paramedics to arrive. The suspect is visibly busted up, kneeling naked in a pool of his own blood.

Carmen Witherspoon, a nearby resident, opened her front door to see the alleged rapist surrounded by the victim's incensed relatives. She told Fox 2, "They beat him over there real good."

"He was on the ground. He managed to get up and he ran across the street, and he was on my property. He fell, he slipped, and fell. And that’s when they beat him some more," said Witherspoon. "It broke me down that a man would do that."

Another witness said the suspected child rapist "was bloody, nothing but blood, there was a puddle on the ground."

According to 7 Mile Radio News, it is rumored the relatives turned vigilantes "stomped his top lip off" and left him "with his left eye hanging out of his head."

One onlooker remarked in the video, as if in disbelief, "Y'all touched your motherf***ing kids."

"I hope you get everything that you deserve," one woman cried out as what remained of the alleged rapist was carted away by paramedics.

The suspect was previously wanted for a non-fatal shooting in east Detroit.

Marc D'Andre of 7 Mile Radio News suggested, "Whether it be swift street justice or through the court systems or jail systems, I think we need to raise awareness about this type of situation because too often it gets swept under the rug, and we have a lot of victims — both girls and boys."

Detroit Police Capt. Rebecca McKay called the sexual assault "absolutely tragic. ... It's going to definitely take time to heal."

McKay told Fox 2 that sexual assault "occurs at all ages. I would just ask the parents, teachers, advisers, administrators, friends, and family, just always keep your eyes open. Listen, if you see something — say something."

The wife of the ABC News producer who died suddenly of a heart attack has been charged with child endangerment after she was accused of abandoning her young children to attend the expensive dinner during which her husband died.

37-year-old Dax Tejera died on Dec. 23, but police say that he and his wife Veronica Tejera had left their 5-month-old girl and 2-year-old girl alone.

A spokesperson for the NYPD’s public information office told Variety that she was booked on two counts of “acting in a manner injurious to a child."

Police said that they responded to a report of unattended children at the address of the Yale Club, a members only hotel in Manhattan.

An investigation found that “a 2-year-old female and a 5-month-old female were left alone inside of a hotel room for an extended period of time.”

The Tejeras had two children and lived in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Veronica was given a desk ticket and released over the two charges.

She later released a statement claiming that she had left the children hoping their friends would come watch them but that the hotel didn't allow them in. However, sources told the New York Post that the children had been left alone for far longer than she was admitting. She also said she was monitoring the children via a remote video system.

“We had two cameras trained on my children as they slept, and I monitored them closely in the time I was away from them. While the girls were unharmed, I realize that it was a poor decision," she claimed.

Dax Tejera had been an executive producer on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos," and previously of “Real America with Jorge Ramos.”

Dax Tejera had been praised by ABC division president Kim Godwin in a statement after his death that lauded his "energy, passion and love" for the show he produced.

"Our thoughts are with his wife, Veronica, the couple’s two young daughters, and the entire Tejera family," wrote Godwin at the time. "On this Christmas Eve, hug your loved ones a little tighter. And please lean on each another."

In a shocking admission, a Pfizer executive on Monday stated that the company did not know if the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine it developed with BioNTech would prevent viral transmission before bringing it to market last year.

Janine Small, the president of international development markets for Pfizer, testified before the European Parliament's COVID-19 committee Monday on behalf of Pfizer CEO Dr. Albert Bourla, who was summoned by the committee but pulled out of his appointment.

During questions, Dutch Member of Parliament Rob Roos, a conservative and opponent of Europe's COVID-19 passports, asked Small whether Pfizer could provide lawmakers with evidence it believed the vaccine would prevent coronavirus transmission before bringing it to market.

"Was the Pfizer COVID vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market?" Roos asked. "If not, please say it clearly. If yes, are you willing to share the data with this committee?”

In response, Small said Pfizer did not know that the vaccine would prevent transmission before bringing it to market.
“Regarding the question around, did we know about stopping immunization before it entered the market? No," she admitted.

"These, um, you know, we had to really move at the speed of science to really understand what is taking place in the market. And from that point of view, we had to do everything at risk,” Small said.

These "COVID passports" were issued on the premise that the vaccinated were protected from illness so that they could socialize with other people without risk of spreading the disease.

Roos, who along with a handful of other members of European Parliament objected to vaccination requirements, said in a video Tuesday that the justification for COVID passports "was always a lie."

"If you don't get vaccinated, you're anti-social! This is what the Dutch prime minister and health minister told us. You don't get vaccinated just for yourself, but also for others — you do it for all of society. That's what they said," Roos recounted. "Today, this turns out to be complete nonsense."

Roos said Small's admission that the vaccine was not tested to prevent transmission "removes the entire legal basis for the COVID passport. The COVID passport that led to massive institutional discrimination as people lost access to essential parts of society."

"I find this to be shocking, even criminal," Roos added.


The mRNA vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNTech was granted emergency use authorization in the United States on Dec. 11, 2020, and later granted Food and Drug Administration approval on August 23, 2021. The vaccine is marketed as Comirnaty and is used for the prevention of COVID-19 in individuals 12 years of age and older, though it is authorized for emergency use in children as young as five.

In granting an emergency use authorization to Pfizer in late 2020, the FDA wrote that there was no evidence that the vaccine prevents transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from person to person.
Public health officials, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, maintain that COVID-19 vaccination significantly lowers the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death for those infected with COVID-19.

"Like all vaccines, COVID-19 vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection. Some people who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations will get COVID-19 breakthrough infection," the CDC says. "However, staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations means that you are less likely to have a breakthrough infection and, if you do get sick, you are less likely to get severely ill or die."

Prior to the vaccine's approval, Pfizer claimed that studies showed its vaccine was as much as 91.3% effective against COVID-19 and 100% effective in preventing infections in at least one study.


Roos said that the Pfizer executive's admission that the vaccine was never tested for preventing transmission was "scandalous."

"Millions of people worldwide felt forced to get vaccinated because of the myth that 'you do it for others.' Now this turned out to be a cheap lie. This should be exposed."
Pfizer did not respond to a request for comment.
Over time, the vaccine has proved to have waning efficacy against mutating strains (Delta, Omicron, etc.) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Health officials have advocated for people to receive COVID-19 booster shots as breakthrough infections have become more common.

Still, officials have claimed, contrary to the evidence that COVID-19 vaccination will prevent infection. President Joe Biden in July 2021 stated, "You're not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations." About a year later, he tested positive for the virus despite being fully vaccinated and up to date with booster shots.

Outgoing White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's go-to health spokesman during the pandemic, has also given conflicting statements on the vaccine's effectiveness. In May 2021, Fauci told CBS News that vaccinated people were a "dead end" for the virus, saying the likelihood a vaccinated person could transmit COVID was "very, very low."

"When you get vaccinated, you not only protect your own health and that of the family, but also you contribute to the community health by preventing the spread of the virus throughout the community,” Fauci said.

However, in August 2021, during the Delta wave, Fauci told Katie Couric that vaccinated people could still transmit the virus. "They’re either without symptoms or only mildly symptomatic,” he said. “So it’s less that it’s going to make the vaccinated person sick. It’s more that it’s going to allow the vaccinated person to transmit it to someone else who might get sick, like a vulnerable person in the family, an elderly individual, a child who’s unvaccinated.”

The point wasn't to prevent transmission, but rather reduce the severity of illness, Fauci explained at the time. "The vaccine is doing exactly what we wanted it to do,” he said. “It’s preventing people from getting seriously ill — that’s the reason why you get vaccinated.”

Ivermectin reduces COVID death risk by 92%, peer-reviewed study finds

A new peer-reviewed study found that regular use of ivermectin reduced the risk of dying from COVID-19 by 92%.

The large study was conducted by Flávio A. Cadegiani, MD, MSc, PhD. Cadegiani is a board-certified endocrinologist with a master's degree and doctorate degree in clinical endocrinology.

The peer-reviewed study was published on Wednesday by the online medical journal Cureus. The study was conducted on a strictly controlled population of 88,012 people from the city of Itajaí in Brazil.

Individuals who used ivermectin as prophylaxis or took the medication before being infected by COVID experienced significant reductions in death and hospitalization.

According to the study, those who took ivermectin regularly had a 92% reduction in their COVID death risk compared to non-users and 84% less than irregular users.

"The hospitalization rate was reduced by 100% in regular users compared to both irregular users and non-users," the study stated.

The impressive reduction for regular ivermectin users was evident despite the regular users being at a higher risk for COVID deaths. The regular users were older and had a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes and hypertension than irregular and non-users.

A Florida man went viral after he posted a car dealership quote showing it would cost nearly $30,000 to replace the battery in his electric vehicle.

Rob O'Donnell posted the quote, obtained from Roger Dean Chevrolet in Cape Coral, on Twitter last week. The quote includes the cost of the battery (nearly $27,000), the cost of labor ($1,200), and taxes for the repair (more than $1,700).

In total, it would cost O'Donnell $29,842.15 to replace the battery in his 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The car itself is worth far less.
"Bet that Chevy Volt sounded like a good idea at first," O'Donnell quipped.

America is in a very dangerous place right now. Far-left progressives are doing everything they can to create the right-wing "extremists" they can't seem to organically find, and many on the right have had enough. Somebody is going to do something stupid, which will only give the left the excuse it needs to brand every last conservative in the nation as a "threat to our democracy."

"We need a plan of action to save the country," Glenn Beck said on a recent episode of Glenn TV. But that plan must adhere 100% to the Constitution, he asserted, because if we lash out in anger, we will lose.

"I have never been more frightened for my country than I am right now," Glenn said. "We have 350 million people and some of them are bat-crap-crazy 24 hours a day, no matter who is the president. Somebody's going to do something stupid, and the people that I would like to see behind bars — those who are intentionally trying to distort, dismantle, and destroy our republic and the Constitution — they will use any and every opportunity they have to push people in a certain direction, cast them in a certain light [...]. There isn't any way to win unless we remember who we are and rise above it," he added.

"This is going to be one or the other: You're going to have an authoritarian state that tells everybody exactly what to do, what you can buy; you will be a serf, or we're going to have a new chapter of freedom. Getting to either one of these is going to be ugly," Glenn warned. "We must try absolutely everything we can, and November is the best way to do it."

Glenn went on to explain why, if we don't realize that our neighbors are not the same as the "crazies" in Washington, D.C., we won't have a country anymore.

"I'm sorry if I am out of step with you," he said. "When I started this job the week of September 11th, I promised [God] I would do my best to find the answers to share them with you and stand up for what I truly believed He would have me do."

"All we can do is the best we can right now, and the best thing that you can do is, as the crowd gets louder, do not scream for more blood. As the crowd gets louder, we must become more quiet and humble — but in the way of Jesus. Stop thinking of Jesus Christ only as a lamb. He was also a lion. But he was a lion that roared against injustice. Just because you want to be reasoned, quiet, Christ-like, does not mean that you do not turn over tables. The tables here have to be turned over. The money-changers have got to be chased out of our republic's temple in Washington, D.C., and I am all for that. But not any other way than constitutionally."

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie delivered a reality check Sunday on ABC News' "This Week" after anchor George Stephanopoulos tried to shield President Joe Biden from criticism.

What happened?
A new ABC News/Ipsos poll shows that 69% of Americans believe the economy is getting worse. The poll also found that Biden's job approval is under water by double digits, 62% disapproval to 37% approval.

During the panel portion of Sunday's show, Stephanopoulos tried to soften the reality of the brutal poll numbers after Christie explained that inflation and a contracting economy are realities the White House cannot easily explain away.

"But it is a tale of two economies," Stephanopoulos said. "You're right, the inflation rate is incredibly high, but look at those jobs numbers on Friday."

The jobs report released on Friday indeed revealed positive news: more than 500,000 jobs added in July. However, the Bureau of Labor Statistics explained that job levels have only just recently returned to their pre-pandemic levels. But what does it matter if inflation is more than 9% and outpacing wage growth?

Christie told Stephanopoulos:

But people can't keep up with the costs of living their lives. So they say "OK, great, I've got a job, that's a good thing. But to get to that job, I've got to fill my car with gas, and it costs that much more. Then when I'm on my way home from work, I've got to go to the supermarket and I get absolutely tanked there from a dollar perspective. And then I look at what's going on with my kids, if I'm sending them to school, are they going to college?" All those expenses are going way, way up. And people say, "Yes, I have a job, but my life is worse now than it was two years ago." And we know from Ronald Reagan that that's an incredibly powerful question. Am I better off now than I was two years ago? And the American people don't feel it. And that's why Joe Biden is in the 30s.
Just moments later, ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl bemoaned how Biden is "on a roll" but "getting no credit for it."

"If you look at our new poll, I mean, he's getting credit for almost nothing. He's on a roll," Karl claimed. "I mean, there's no question that Joe Biden is on a roll legislatively, on the national security front, but he's getting no credit for it."

"And look, inflation is still a factor. Gas prices are actually coming down and have been coming down for almost two months. The unemployment numbers are remarkable. Not only the unemployment numbers, but wage growth continues to rise. It’s just not keeping pace —" he continued.

That is when Christie interjected, pointing out that the success of passing the so-called Inflation Reduction Act is an "inside Washington role."

"It’s an inside Washington roll," Christie pointed out. "Like, they won on the Inflation Reduction Act, which is a ridiculous name ... but they won on that. They got Democrats to actually vote for a Democrat bill. What are we going to do? Drop the confetti at the White House? I mean, this is ridiculous. It’s an inside Washington roll.

"The people in the rest of the country are saying, 'Wait a second, I’m still paying much more for gas than I should, I'm still paying much more to cool my house, I can’t keep groceries on the table, and I'm worried about the future,'" the former governor explained.

For the first time in its 67-year history, Disneyland omitted Walt Disney's iconic opening day speech from its anniversary celebration, leaving fans to wonder how the company could have gone so "woke" that they would even erase Walt Disney from Disneyland.
But Glenn Beck thinks the reason is actually easy to spot if you listen carefully to what Walt Disney was really saying back in 1955:

"The America that we all grew up in, the America that we thought we knew, is gone. But it's only on hold. And it's on hold, because it is in each of us — those of us who lived it, who know its truth, who know its promise, who have received its inspiration — it should now give us courage to continue to stand up, because we know what it was. Our kids don't. But I want you to know that it has only been put in a closet for a while, and it is our job to open that door and take it back out of the closet. It's only on hiatus if we choose, otherwise it is gone," he warned.

Glenn said he believes Walt Disney created Disneyland to be the exact opposite of what Disney now is. The original mission statement was about who we are as Americans, and who we can still be. But we must recognize that times have changed. We're not living in the same country anymore, and we're not playing by the same rules.

Earlier this week, President Joe Biden gave a dramatic speech about the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol being a "medieval hell" for our "brave law enforcement officers" with people running around "dripping in blood [and] surrounded by carnage." While most listeners were no doubt enthralled beyond the possibility of distraction, there were a few people who couldn't help noticing that the president's eyes looked weirdly wide and dilated toward the end of his inspirational oration. Also, he didn't blink, like, at all.
A few people also seemed to think there might have been some fancy editing going on.
Just a few hours later, the White House posted a video of President Biden telling Americans that "gas prices have dropped every day this summer" and promising to pressure the oil industry to pump more oil "even as we stay focused on transitioning to a clean energy economy."


A Twitter user called "Five Times August" posted the two videos going back and forth and suggested there just might be something fishy going on here.
