Guy Puts Something Special On All Halal Meat He Sees, Muslims Are MAD
Sick and tired of Muslims taking over supermarkets with their special food stocked on the shelves, a man took it upon himself to let others know exactly how he felt about the matter, by literally sticking it to anyone interested in purchasing halal-approved products. His bold effort backfired on him when an Islam sympathizing judge didn’t take kindly to this man’s “Islamaphobic” behavior.
Liam Edwards of the U.K. has seen first hand the Islamic invasion that has taken over his country. He didn’t want to let another day go by without taking a stand against it, so he acted creatively. Each time he goes to the grocery store, he’s reminded of the all too prevalent part of European life that Muslims have become, with halal food occupying shelf space next to typical Western goods.
For Edwards, it’s not just about sharing space with Muslims, it’s educating others who may be less aware. By purchasing certain goods, their money is being sent directly to fund terrorism. The anti-Islam activist had stickers made, which he placed on halal food items at his local store. The message was clear on the red stickers that read, “BEWARE! Halal is barbaric and funds terrorism.” At the bottom of the warning label is “#BanHalal.”

The 29-year-old didn’t get permission to slap these stickers on merchandise, he simply did what he had to do to get his message out to others. Now he’s being charged with a hate crime. Edwards was recently found guilty of “causing racially or religiously-aggravated criminal damage” from his February sticker ambush, the Metro reported.
But even though the $273 (£176.50) fine and a 4-week curfew has been imposed on this “criminal,” he’s not letting it hold him back from his purpose. For sake of maintaining innocent intentions of his actions, Edwards insists that the stickers were more of a warning about halal slaughter of animals, than being religiously driven.
“I’m a big animal lover, be it for racial or other purposes I believe it is wrong to treat animals in that way,” Edwards said.
Whether the tagging was for animal activism or anti-Islam, the sentiment remains true, and he shouldn’t be charged with a crime for stating the obvious. Halal slaughter is representative of the many barbaric practices within Islam, and people need to quit pretending it’s a religion of peace. It’s constantly proven otherwise.

Theresa May will today tell radical Islamists that the "game is up" and that they were no longer tolerated in Britain as she sets out Tory plans for a crackdown on extremism.
The Home Secretary is expected to say that a future Conservative government target Sharia law, change the rules on granting citizenship to ensure people embrace British values and introduce "banning orders" for extremist groups.
Radicals will also be barred from working unsupervised with children amid fears that young people are being brainwashed, while staff at job centres will be required to identify vulnerable claimants who may become targets for radicalisation.
In a speech in London she will invite all moderate Muslims to join her in exposing the "hatred, bigotry and ignorance" of extremists who seek to undermine the values of democracy, equality and free speech.
The new counter-extremism policy is aimed at tackling radical preachers and individuals who try to brainwash young Muslims and encourage them to embrace extremist views.

We can debate the extremists, listen to them, scream and shout and insult them. But we must never ban them
She will say that a "small but significant" number of people in Britain are trying to undermine the nation's values and create a "clash of civilisations".
She will cite the Trojan Horse plot to take over state schools in Birmingham, corruption in Tower Hamlets in East London and the use of Sharia law being used to discriminate against women.
She will also condemn hate preachers, the practice of gender segregation at some universities and the thousands of "honour" crimes committed every year.
Mrs May will say: "Extremism is not something that can just be ignored. It cannot be wished away. It must be tackled head on. Because where extremism takes root the consequences are clear. Women’s rights are eroded. There is discrimination on the basis of race and sexuality.
"There is no longer equal access to the labour market, to the law, or to wider society. Communities become segregated and cut off from one another. Intolerance, hatred and bigotry become normalised. Trust is replaced by fear, reciprocity by envy, and solidarity by division.
"Where they seek to divide us, our values are what unite us. Where they seek to dictate, lecture and limit opportunity, our values offer young people hope and the chance to succeed. The extremists have no vision for Britain that can sustain the dreams and ambitions of its people. Theirs is a negative, depressing and in fact absurd view of the world - and it is one we know that in the end we can expose and defeat."
She will appeal to "every single person in Britain" to join her in a new "partnership" to celebrate British values and defeat ignorance.
She will say: "But to those people who do not want to join this new partnership, to those who choose consciously to reject our values and the basic principles of our society, the message is equally clear. The game is up.
"We will no longer tolerate your behaviour. We will expose your hateful beliefs for what they are. Where you seek to spread hate, we will disrupt you. Where you break the law, we will prosecute you.Where you seek to divide us, we will stand united. And together, we will defeat you."
The Home Secretary will say that a future Conservative government will commission an independent review into the operation of Sharia courts in Britain, while councils will be ordered to "take steps to ensure the safeguarding of children in hithero unregulated places", such as tuition centres.
British values will form "an integral part of applying for a visa" which even visitors will have to comply with.
The Home Secretary will also introduce “banning orders” for extremist groups, which would make it a criminal offence to be a member of or raise funds for a group that spreads or promotes hatred. The maximum sentence could be up to 10 years in prison.

London's new and first Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has refused to back a request for the terrorist outfit Hezbollah to be a proscribed organisation.
Following a question from UK Independence Party (UKIP) London Assembly member David Kurten, Mr. Khan said that he would not back a ban on the group which has recently had supporters and sympathisers protesting with its famous yellow jihadi flag at "Al Quds Day" in London.
Mr. Kurten asked the question in the discussion following Assembly member Kemi Badenoch's question: "What action is the Metropolitan Police Service taking against the use of flags representing designated terrorist organisations as seen during the recent al-Quds Day march in London on July 3rd?"
While Mr. Khan said he understood "the concerns of the Jewish community and the distress these flags cause many Londoners," he also said, "It would not be appropriate... to comment on an ongoing police investigation" and that he would not commit to pushing for a ban on the "political wing" of Hezbollah.
A common misconception about the terror group which is deeply entrenched in both Europe and the Americas is that there is a tangible difference between a "military" or terrorist wing and the group's political arm. In Lebanon, Hezbollah has 12 member of parliament and takes two seats in the cabinet of the government.
The group is designated as a terror group in its entirety by the Arab League, Bahrain, Canada, France, Israel, the Netherlands, and the United States.
But the European Union, as well as the United Kingdom maintain a difference between the group's military and political wings, seeking only to proscribe the former.

The Hezbollah flags, which were flown at the Al Quds Day march, do not distinguish between two "wings" and the two "wings" both report to the same group leadership in terror chief Hassan Nasrallah.
Mr. Kurten made this point, and asked if this was the reason why the Metropolitan Police Service is not able to intervene when Hezbollah flags are flown. The Mayor admitted this was the case saying "you're right."
He then asked the Mayor if he would call for the political wing of Hezbollah to be proscribed to bring the UK into line with many other nations. The Mayor responded negatively saying: "That's not what I've committed to..."
UKIP's other London Assembly member Peter Whittle joined Mr. Kurten in calling on new Prime Minister Theresa May for Hezbollah to be proscribed in its entirety.
Mr Kurten added after the event: "The number one duty of the Mayor is to ensure that Londoners are safe. It is astonishing that in the current climate the Mayor did not call for a blanket ban of Hezbollah, and did not oppose this loophole which is both frightening to many Londoners and also potentially encourages violent hate crime. I hope that on reflection that he will change his mind."

Sadiq Khan has spoken of the “distress” caused to the Jewish community by the displaying of Hezbollah flags and insisted he is confident police will “thoroughly” investigate their use in a London rally earlier this month.
The Mayor of London was questioned about the repeated displaying of the flag of the Lebanese terror group at the Al Quds Day march by London Assembly member Kemi Badenoch.
Sadiq Khan said: “I understand the concerns of the Jewish community, and the distress these flags cause many Londoners.
“It would not be appropriate for me to comment on an ongoing police investigation, but the police know how seriously I take this issue and I am confident they will thoroughly investigate the events of July 3.
“I will continue to work closely with the Commissioner to make sure reports of this kind are taken very seriously.”
The Zionist Federation and Jewish News yesterday launched a campaign urging the new prime minister to crack down.
In 2013, using powers granted by Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000, two men were arrested for displaying Hezbollah flags. Kemi Badenoch called for the Metropolitan Police to exercise these arrest powers whenever these flags are seen.

Conservative London Assembly member Kemi Badenoch said: “The fact that Hezbollah flags were seen to be flown at a rally in London without police intervention is truly shocking. Flying the Hezbollah flag is illegal, they are a terrorist organisation that promotes Anti-Semitism, and the police should use their powers to stop this message of hate.
“The Mayor has promised a ‘zero tolerance approach to anti-Semitism’, and I will be urging him to take these flags off London’s streets.”
When home secretary, May suggested that such acts could fall under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and arrests were made during the visit of Benjamin Netanyahu last year. However Jewish News revealed ahead of this year’s Al Quds event that no charges were forthcoming.
The confusion appears to centre on the fact the armed wing of Hezbollah is listed as a terrorist group while the political wing is not, yet the two elements share the same flag. The home office has said “the context and manner in which the flag is displayed must demonstrate that it is specifically in support of the proscribed elements of the group”.

Why are TV channels not reporting the trade deals flooding in for Brexit?

It is reported that so many trade deal offers are flooding in re. Brexit that UK ministers can’t keep up! But SKY, the BBC ad ITV all stay stubbornly silent on the subject.
Boris’s initiative achieved these trade opportunities, with Farage, Leadsom and Stuart
The Express reports: “SOUTH KOREA has joined the race to tie-up a major free trade deal with the UK in the wake of its exit from the European Union. The Asian nation – the 11th richest country in the world – has launched a push for new ties with the UK as soon as the country has exited the EU, according to the national broadcaster KBS.
This week the Government announced plans to put together a team of up to 300 specialist staff, including trade negotiators, by the end of the year, to manage new trade arrangements. New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the US are also keen, as is the World Trade Organisation.
The director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce Alan Thompson said he expects trade links between Russia and the UK to be strengthened with a new deal.” Why are our TV channels not broadcasting such positive news? Could it be that like some newspapers, they prefer to talk down this country, so they can keep saying what a disaster Brexit is? The Home Secretary has come under fire for threatening to deport European Union migrants already living in Britain when the UK leaves the EU.
During the EU referendum the Leave campaign said it did not want EU nationals already in the UK to be repatriated after Brexit.
But Theresa May and her team at the Home Office have now suggested that it would not be a given that EU national could remain in the UK after Article 50 negotiations conclude.

Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said today it would be “unwise” to guarantee EU nationals living in the UK assurances they could stay without UK nationals abroad getting the same assurances.
Mr Brokenshire was subjected to shouts of “Where's Theresa?” as he addressed the House of Commons on Monday.
Ms May has said that whether EU nationals living in Britain could stay would be a factor in Brexit negotiations.
Mr Brokenshire backed Ms May's previous remarks, saying: “It has been suggested the Government could now fully guarantee EU nationals living in the UK the right to stay.
“This would be unwise without a parallel assurance from European governments regarding British nationals living in their countries.

The shadow home secretary, who has three children with his Dutch wife, said: “Any uncertainty hanging over their right to be here is tantamount to undermining family life in our country and that does not strike me as a very prime ministerial thing thing to do.

Here is what I heard on SKY News this morning.
Today 330 Conservative MP members of Parliamentary partywill cast their vote the one with least votes will be eliminated also ordinary members around the country are to have their say they will vote and eliminate one today that process will continue and next Thursday and next Tuesday if no one pulls out, it will then be whittle down to just two are left standing.
The 2 Candidates will then go to the Full membership of the country there will be a postal ballot so everyone can participate in that and it will close on the 9th of September with the declaration of that vote then.

Five candidates remain in contention to replace David Cameron as leader of the Conservative Party and each one of them has previously spoken openly about their Christian faith. Premier's Aaron James has been looking into their previous statements of faith.
Whether we agree with their political views or not, our next Prime Minister will be a follower of Jesus - and be willing to say that publicly.
1. Theresa May
Take the Home Secretary, and now favourite, Theresa May. In her speech announcing her intention to stand as leader she reminded the public that as the daughter of a vicar, "public service has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember". She's also previously said her Christian faith is "part of me... part of who I am."
2. Michael Gove
The Justice Secretary Michael Gove is no stranger to the faith chat either. A late entry into the race for leadership, he recently wrote a piece for The Spectator titled 'In Defence of Christianity' and when he was criticised by Conservative colleagues for what they perceived as his soft stance on crime, he retorted that as a Christian he believes "in redemption". After playing second-fiddle to Boris in the Brexit campaign, perhaps this is his moment.
3. Stephen Crabb
Stephen Crabb, the Work and Pensions Secretary, has previously called the Bible his "guiding star" for social policy and is very aware that "Jesus Christ oozed compassion". With his time with the Christian charity CARE often negatively quoted in the media, he recently said "to speak openly as a Christian politician about praying is really asking for trouble". He went on to question whether we'll ever see again a British Prime Minister who can talk about praying to God. Might that be about the change?
4. Andrea Leadsom
And Energy Minister Andrea Leadsom has previously spoken about her Christian faith. She said "I always try to ensure that I'm doing what I think God would want me to do... God's there, guiding my hands and helping me." That guide may soon be needed more than ever.
5. Liam Fox
Finally, Liam Fox, a Catholic, has spoken of his concern of those who try to take Christ out of Christmas. In an online video he told of the need to be unapologetic of celebrating Christmas and to proclaim the "hope and renewal" that it represents.
Renegotiating the UK's relationship with the EU is one of the greatest opportunities - and burdens - that a British Prime Minister will ever have to bear. Assuming the emergency services haven't arrived yet to put out the Labour leadership fire, it is highly likely that a Conservative government will be the one taking that opportunity and carrying that burden. What trade deal(s) can they strike? What migration controls will they bring in? What EU laws will they keep and which will they scrap? So many questions. All I know is this: whoever has to answer them will need their relationship with God more than ever before.

Speaking at an event on presenting findings on the anti-Semitism rampant among the ranks of Britain’s Labour Party, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn on Thursday kicked up a fury of backlash when he appeared to equate Israel to ISIS.
“Our Jewish friends are no more responsible for the actions of Israel or the Netanyahu government than our Muslim friends are for those of various self-styled Islamic states or organizations,” said Corbyn, seeming to imply that the decisions and actions of Israel’s government are comparable to those of the radical jihadist terror group ISIS.
His comment was immediately condemned by furious voices throughout the world, including within his own party. Labour councilor Sam Stopp called for Corbyn to resign at once.
England’s former chief rabbi, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, also blasted Corbyn, saying the comparison was “an outrage and unacceptable,” the Jerusalem Post reported.
Yair Lapid, leader of Israel’s own Labor party, called the comment “pure anti-Semitism”.

“It is an infuriating comparison which is evidence of [Corbyn’s] ignorance. It is pure anti-Semitism. The state of Israel is governed by democratic values, morality and justice, and fights every day against terror organizations who are sworn to the murder of innocents,” Lapid fumed.
He also said that the remark was especially insensitive considering the timing.
“It is unacceptable that on such a difficult day for the state of Israel, when an innocent young girl was murdered in a terror attack by an evil terrorist just because she was a Jew, the leader of the opposition in the UK compares Israel and ISIS,” he continued.
He, too, called for Corbyn’s resignation, exhorting Israel’s Labor party to cut all ties with its UK counterpart until Corbyn was replaced.

The event, which was ironically called to investigate several troubling recent incidences of anti-Semitism within the party, was attended by pro-Corbyn activists whose yells and abuse caused Jewish member of Parliament MP Ruth Smeeth to leave in tears.
She later released a statement, saying, “It is beyond belief that someone could come to the launch of a report on anti-Semitism in the Labour Party and espouse such vile conspiracy theories about Jewish people.” Smeeth also called for Corbyn to step down and yield to someone with the “backbone” to confront anti-Semitism within the party.
The Labour party has been dogged by accusations of anti-Semitism for months. In April, Labour MP Naz Shah resigned from her position after a number of anti-Semitic social media posts she had published came to light, including one suggesting that Israel be relocated to America and another which asserted that “everything Hitler did in Germany was legal”.

Flood of immigrants make ‘township ghettos’ out of Britain’s seasides

Tory Paul Carter, who leads Kent County Council, says the rising number of migrants in towns from Clacton in Essex, to Margate in Kent and Eastbourne in East Sussex is putting huge pressure on health and other public services.
In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Express Mr Carter added: “The pressure is growing in coastal communities. I think we need government to give us help in these townships in some wards.
“We are getting a concentration of vulnerable people of variable ethnicity creating a lot of pressures on public services of all different types.”
The council is currently preparing a report which will call on David Cameron to demand a radical approach to the problem in towns such as Margate, where up to 3,000 Romas have set up homes in cheap low quality private housing or been given council flats.
Mr Carter revealed: “We will ask the government to stop the inward migration of vulnerable and troubled families out of London or abroad into these communities so we can start to lift them and reverse the trend of potentially building bigger ghettoes.”

Government should also give the councils affected the powers to get tough with landlords who are getting rich on the worsening situation.
He said: “In some of the wards in Kent and if you go up the coast to Clacton or to Hastings you have got large areas of vulnerable families all living in poor quality accommodation.
“We are not going to regenerate these communities if we do not have freedom from central government with more powers given to environmental health officers and authorities.”
A council report estimated the potential influx of 10,000 Romanians and Bulgarians after restrictions are lifted in January would cost Kent another £3million a year.
There are fears families will drive from Romania or Bulgaria to Calais, dump decrepit vehicles and enter Britain as foot passengers.
Last week the Sunday Express spoke to residents in Cliftonville, Margate, where thousands of east Europeans have settled.
One man, who declined to be named, said: “There are probably 2,000 Slovaks and 1,000 Poles.
“At night young men hang around and drink. There have been a lot of fights.”
Rene Oracko, 23, a Slovak who has a Polish girlfriend and a son, said: “We don’t want trouble but people come to start fights. They used to come here and call us racist names but it is getting better.”

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Express Mr Carter added: “The pressure is growing in coastal communities. I think we need government to give us help in these townships in some wards.
“We are getting a concentration of vulnerable people of variable ethnicity creating a lot of pressures on public services of all different types.”
The council is currently preparing a report which will call on David Cameron to demand a radical approach to the problem in towns such as Margate, where up to 3,000 Romas have set up homes in cheap low quality private housing or been given council flats.
Mr Carter revealed: “We will ask the government to stop the inward migration of vulnerable and troubled families out of London or abroad into these communities so we can start to lift them and reverse the trend of potentially building bigger ghettoes.”

Government should also give the councils affected the powers to get tough with landlords who are getting rich on the worsening situation.
He said: “In some of the wards in Kent and if you go up the coast to Clacton or to Hastings you have got large areas of vulnerable families all living in poor quality accommodation.
“We are not going to regenerate these communities if we do not have freedom from central government with more powers given to environmental health officers and authorities.”
A council report estimated the potential influx of 10,000 Romanians and Bulgarians after restrictions are lifted in January would cost Kent another £3million a year.
There are fears families will drive from Romania or Bulgaria to Calais, dump decrepit vehicles and enter Britain as foot passengers.
Last week the Sunday Express spoke to residents in Cliftonville, Margate, where thousands of east Europeans have settled.
One man, who declined to be named, said: “There are probably 2,000 Slovaks and 1,000 Poles.
“At night young men hang around and drink. There have been a lot of fights.”
Rene Oracko, 23, a Slovak who has a Polish girlfriend and a son, said: “We don’t want trouble but people come to start fights. They used to come here and call us racist names but it is getting better.”

The United Kingdom’s Prince Charles is in the middle of a week-long tour of the Middle East, where it is expected that he will deliver a strong message to Muslim leaders regarding the prevalence and growth of the radical Islamist mindset.
According to Mad World News, the Crown Prince intends to demand that Muslim leaders in the U.K, and around the world, stop radicalizing young people, and to show some respect for Western culture and values.
He is also telling them that any Muslims who come to the U.K. need to abide by the English standards that are already in place, and stop trying to force their way of life on the people who were there before them.
“The radicalization of people in Britain is a great worry,” the prince told the BBC. “The extent to which this is happening is alarming, particularly in a country like our’s where we hold values dear.”
The prince is further troubled by how rampant the radical ideology is on the Internet, and how easy it is for young people to be radicalized online.
Such a strong stance against radical Islam and in defense of Christianity has elevated the prince to the historic title of “defender of the faith.”
The prince has lived up to the title by calling out Islam for the persecution of Christians and other minority religions in the Middle East, by unequivocally stating that Christians were in the region first, hundreds of years before the arrival of Islam.
He has strongly denounced the atrocious actions of the Islamic State, and how they have slaughtered and exiled hundreds of thousands of Christians and Yazidis from northern Iraq. He says that if this continues there may soon come a day when there are no more Christians in the Middle East.
“The tragedy is even greater because Christians have been in the Middle East for 2,000 years, before Islam came in the 8th Century,” Charles stated.
The prince’s tour begins with a meeting with King Abdullah II in Jordan, before also traveling to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, where he will also hopefully address the funding for radical Islamic terrorism that originate in those countries.
We commend Prince Charles for standing up in defense of the Christian faith, particularly in the Middle East, and will pray for his safe and successful return from the region.

The heir to the throne railed against the radicalisation of young British men by Islamist extremists as he launched an impassioned defence of Britain’s “Christian” heritage.
Telling British muslims that they should show more respect for “the values we hold dear,” the Prince revealed that he was terrified by the influence of radical preachers who spread their teachings on the internet.
In an unprecedented outburst, he said: “The radicalisation of people in Britain is a great worry, and the extent to which this is happening is alarming, particularly in a country like ours where we hold values dear.
“You would think the people who have come here, or are born here, and go to school here, would abide by those values and outlooks.”
He added that it was “frightening” that young British Muslims were being radicalised by “crazy stuff on the internet”.
The outspoken comments are a further sign that the Prince is not prepared to keep quiet on political causes close to his heart, despite assuming more and more responsibility from the Queen.
They came as he started a six-day tour of the Middle East in his mother’s place, during which he has been urged to speak out against the barbaric practises of some Gulf states.
It is understood that the Prince will challenge new Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud over the terrible punishment handed down to blogger Raif Badawi when the pair meet face to face this week.
The free-speech champion was sentenced to a thousand lashes and ten years in jail after being convicted of insulting Islam over comments he made on his website which were critical of the autocratic Saudi regime.
Diplomatic sources close to the Saudi crown say there is much more chance the new king will listen to a fellow royal than to a foreign political leader.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2’s The Sunday Hour ahead of touching down in Jordan last night, the Prince also called for an end to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East.
He told the show that if nothing was done, the time could soon come when “there are no Christians left in the Middle East,” adding: “They are intimidated to a degree you can’t believe.”
During the forthright interview, he said: “The tragedy is even greater because Christians have been in the Middle East for 2,000 years, before Islam came in the 8th Century.”
Islamic State terrorists have slaughtered thousands of Yazidis and Christians in Northern Iraq, whilst atrocities against Christians have been on the rise in other Muslim countries including Egypt.
The Prince also quashed speculation that he plans to give up the traditional ‘Defender of the Faith’ title, in favour of Faith' title, in favour of the more multicultural 'Defender of Faiths', when he becomes king.
Confirming his intention to take up his place as head of the Church of England - a tradition which dates back to Henry VIII - he said he would use the role to protect the free practice of all faiths.

Britain's Government is proposing to change the way the BBC is run. It's about time.

When the British Government announced on May 11, 2016, that it was planning changes to the way the BBC is governed and overseen, it was stepping into a minefield.
To millions of people, the publicly-supported British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is the gold standard in news and entertainment. Award-winning director Peter Kosminsky spoke for many recently when he called the BBC the “envy of the world” – and warned against making any changes to the corporation.
Yet the BBC routinely violates its own mandate to provide high-quality, impartial news. When it comes to Jewish issues and to Israel, the BBC – far from being a paragon of journalistic integrity – is often biased, selective, or downright wrong.
The BBC made it seem as if it the attack was perpetrated by the Jewish victims.
Take the recent wave of stabbings in Israel, which has seen scores of Israelis killed and wounded. When a terrorist murdered two Israeli Jews in Jerusalem on October 3, 2015, the BBC headline initially read “Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attack kills two” – making it seem as if the attack was perpetrated by the Jewish victims.
Later that month, the former Chairman of the BBC, Lord Michael Grade, complained the BBC “deliberately misled” viewers in its coverage of stabbings attacks. The BBC, he wrote, created a false equivalence between terrorists and victims, and showed “inexcusable bias” in its reporting on the attacks.
Lord Grade singled out BBC reporter Orla Guerin, criticizing her for equating “Israeli victims of terrorism and Palestinians who have been killed by Israeli security forces in the act of carrying out terror attacks”. Ms. Guerin also lied in her reporting, Lord Grade asserted, claiming that Palestinian political groups were not involved in the attacks when her own reporting later showed otherwise.
(It wasn’t the first time Ms. Guerin was criticized for playing fast and loose with the truth where Israel was concerned. In 2014, covering the Israel-Gaza war, Ms. Guerin falsely and repeatedly reported that Hamas was not using human shields. It was only a year later that the BBC Trust finally responded to complaints, acknowledging that Ms. Guerin’s reporting had indeed been inaccurate. By then, her misleading comments had already been heard by millions.)
At times, antipathy to Israel has distorted the BBC’s reporting of Jewish-related issues.
That was the case on January 11, 2015, after terrorists murdered four Jews in a kosher supermarket in Paris. When veteran BBC reporter Tim Wilcox interviewed a Jewish woman at the scene who said the attack was reminiscent of 1930s Europe, Wilcox dragged Israel – and his own anti-Israel bias – into the interview with the traumatized woman. “Many...many...many critics, though, of Israel’s policy would suggest that the Palestinians suffer hugely at Jewish hands as well,” he bizarrely said. Though Wilcox did tweet a half-hearted policy after complaints, the BBC stood by him, rejecting complaints from outraged viewers and declining to take action.
In the aftermath of that terror attack, the head of the BBC Arabic service, Tarik Kafala, explained to the Independent newspaper that the BBC found the term “terrorist” too “loaded” and difficult to define, and so did not use it to describe the Paris attackers. Less than six months later, however, a BBC interviewer did use the term terrorist – when interviewing Israeli politician Tzipi Livni. "Would you describe your parents as terrorists?” he asked Ms. Livni, whose parents fought the British in pre-state Israel as part of the underground group the Irgun. When it came to Israel, it seemed, the term “terrorist” was suddenly acceptable.
On May 8 and 9, 2016, two separate BBC features described the Christian holy site Qasr al Yahud in the Jordan Rift Valley as “the most dangerous church in the world,” asserting that Israeli soldiers rigged land mines in the area (and strongly implying they did so as an anti-Christian act). The truth – that nearby landmines from the 1967 war are well marked (and are being cleared) and that Qasr al Yahud is in fact an Israeli national park – open to visitors from all over the world – somehow never made it into either report.
Given all these outrageous distortions and omissions, how has the BBC escaped serious questions about its seemingly anti-Israel slant?
It hasn’t. In 2004, the BBC’s then Director of News, Richard Sambrook, faced an unprecedented number of complaints about the BBC’s impartiality in the Arab-Israeli conflict. (BBC reporter Barbara Plett describing bursting into tears on the air when she watched Yassir Arafat being airlifted out of his compound and taken to hospital that year certainly sparked some of the complaints.)
BBC executives hid the report, refusing to make known any of the results of BBC’s bias against Israel.
The resulting report – compiled by the journalist Malcom Balen and known as the Balen Report – was concluded in November 2004. BBC executives then hid the report in its archives, refusing to make known any of the results of BBC’s bias against Israel.
Not only did the BBC refuse to release the Balen Report, it spent nearly half a million dollars fighting to keep it secret. From 2005 until his death in 2011 British lawyer Steven Sugar filed Freedom of Information requests to compel the BBC to release the report – and then followed up the BBC’s ensuing refusals in British courts. In 2012, after Mr. Sugar had died, Britain’s Supreme Court ruled that the BBC need never release the contents of its own inquiry.
Perhaps the current proposals to change the way the BBC is governed will do what countless complaints, years of monitoring and frustration, and years of legal maneuvers have failed to do: hold the Corporation to its own standards of providing high-level, impartial news. The British Government's White Paper on overhauling the BBC includes proposals to replace the self-governing BBC Trust with a new board, and placing the broadcaster under the supervision of Ofcom, Britain's communications regulator, which would investigate complaints about violations of impartiality and accuracy.
The proposed changes are being fiercely debated. But after so many years of biased, distorted reporting, change is desperately needed. The new proposals are worth a try.

After a rigorous campaign, Sadiq Khan, the primary candidate for the UK’s Labour Party, made history on Friday as the first Muslim mayor of London. But the new mayor, who has promised to be a “leader for all”, may be hiding some rather disturbing skeletons in his proverbial closet.
Khan’s strong political background notwithstanding, countless concerns have come to light regarding his connections to Islamic extremism and his history defending terrorist activities. Polling has revealed people are sincerely worried over Khan’s new position, which will now give him unlimited cash access and powerful responsibilities, due to his shady history. In fact, Politics.co reported at least 31 percent of Londoners are “uncomfortable” with the idea of a Muslim mayor, despite their overall reputation as largely tolerant of other cultures.

Turkey has not fully complied with an agreement to pass more than 70 pieces of legislation to qualify for the waiver scheme, which mainly relate to human rights and media freedom.
Ankara has so far met fewer than half of the so-called benchmarks.
But the European Commission is expected to endorse the plan on Wednesday to approve visa-free travel to Europe for Turkey, Kosovo, Georgia and Ukraine.

A document released by civil servants yesterday also confirms that the Government cannot block EU migrants from “rights to enter, live and work” in the UK.
It details how Britain has an “obligation to comply” with all EU laws, making clear the Charter of Fundamental Rights is “binding” on all 28 member nations.
The report on the “Rights and obligations of EU membership” was the last in a series of documents which the Government was legally required to publish in time for today’s official start of the referendum campaign.
But unlike previous publications in the series, the 96-page dossier appeared without fanfare yesterday.
It was released quietly on a Government website and announced with a written statement to MPs.
Last night campaigners for a British exit in the forthcoming in-out referendum on June 23 criticised the low-key release of the report.

David Cameron is putting Britain's national security at risk by paying nearly £2billion to help Turkey, Serbia and Albania join the European Union, Iain Duncan Smith has warned.
Vote Leave, the campaign group jointly led by Michael Gove, said that Britain will help fund £14million worth of "pre-accession assistance" between 2014 and 2014 to countries hoping to join the EU.

IMMIGRATION FARCE: 'Impossible' to know how many migrants are in Britain
A DEVASTATING new report has claimed that the Government has underestimated net migration from the EU to the UK by at least 250,000 over the last five years.

In a massive blow to David Cameron’s Remain campaign, a new study by Migration Watch has shown that the number of National Insurance numbers issued to immigrants from Eastern Europe is far higher than the official immigration figures from that part of the EU.
It means that more immigrants are flooding in from the EU than the rest of the world.
The report comes as the National Statistician John Pullinger has admitted that the Government has lost track of how many immigrants are pouring into Britain, telling a Commons committee that it is “impossible” to know how many have arrived.
Mr Pullinger was facing questions from the Commons’ Public Administration Committee over concerns that HM Revenues and Customs (HMRC) and other Government departments have been covering up true information about National Insurance number applications to allow people to work in the EU.
The Government and Remain campaign have already been left reeling this week from Home Secretary Theresa May’s admission that it is impossible to stop Britain being overwhelmed by migrants while it remains in the EU with largely unfettered free movement for its 500 million citizens.
And further doubts have been raised over Mr Cameron’s much derided renegotiation delivering on stemming the flow of incomers from Europe despite winning minor concessions on limiting benefits for four years to EU migrants.
When he was first elected as Prime Minister in 2010 Mr Cameron promised to bring net migration down to “the tens of thousands” but has failed to meet his target with official figures suggesting that net migration was 323,000 last year with 172,000 from the EU in the year up to September 2015.
However, in the same 12-month period more than 600,000 National Insurance numbers were issued to immigrants with the Government claiming that the discrepancy was due to a backlog in applications.
But Migrant Watch’s analysis of figures over the last five years has revealed that on a study of Eastern European states such as Romania and Bulgaria alone there are at least 50,000 more National Insurance numbers issued a year than officially recognised in the migration figures.
It means that net migration to the UK is running at least 375,000 with 220,000 from the EU dwarfing 155,000 from the rest of the world.
Lord Green of Deddington, Chairman of Migration Watch UK, said: “This analysis casts serious doubt on the accuracy of our immigration figures.
“The ONS have recognised that they undercounted EU8 migration between 2004 and 2010.
“It now seems very likely that the undercounting of EU migration has continued and, therefore, that net migration from the EU is now greater than that from the rest of the world taken together.”

Giving evidence to the Commons Public Administration Committee, Mr Pullinger promised he would publish information drawing on data from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), HMRC, the Home Office and the international passenger survey to present a clearer picture of how many EU migrants are actually living and working or claiming benefits in the UK.
But he acknowledged it was "not an exact science" as former Tory Cabinet minister Cheryl Gillan told him "we are just not in control of what is going on in our own country and we don't have the knowledge with which to work".

Labour MP and Brexit campaigner Kate Hoey suggested that the "wide disparity" between the amount of NI numbers issued to EU migrants and the official immigration figure "discredits" the statistics.
Mr Pullinger said: "I want to produce something that actually gives some extra real information rather than fuels the debate.
"Because I do think that in the absence of something the debate goes on and that's unhelpful."
He went on: "We will publish the numbers that will give us the information that gives us the best understanding of what is going on with international migration."

NI numbers can be issued to people who are already in the country or who only stay and work for a short period, so on their own they cannot be used to estimate immigration, the MPs were told.
Asked about questions over the accuracy of figures, Mr Pullinger told her: "Knowledge is always going to be incomplete.
“We are in the business of estimation. We try to triangulate lots of different sources, so in terms of the number of people coming into the country, when we looked at the accumulation of people over the past 10 years when we had the census we were able to check how close we were.
"We can check now the numbers we are getting in our published figures against the number of people actually residing in different parts of the country.
"So we are continually checking but it's an uncertain science." He added: "We don't know exactly."

David Cameron is putting Britain's national security at risk by paying nearly £2billion to help Turkey, Serbia and Albania join the European Union, Iain Duncan Smith has warned.
Vote Leave, the campaign group jointly led by Michael Gove, said that Britain will help fund £14million worth of "pre-accession assistance" between 2014 and 2014 to countries hoping to join the EU.
Iain Duncan Smith, the former Work and Pensions Secretary, said that Britain's contribution is a "staggering waste of money" and will "make Britain less safe".

It comes after Theresa May, the Home Secretary, said Britain should question whether the expansion of the European Union amid concerns about "crime, corruption and terrorism" in Albania, Serbia and Turkey.
Mr Duncan Smith said: "The Home Secretary was right to warn that allowing Albania, Serbia and Turkey into the EU could undermine our security.

Michael Gove, the eurosceptic Justice Secretary, has said that the enlargement of the EU could lead to an "free for all" and put more pressure on public services.
David Cameron has previously supported Turkey's membership of the EU and said he wants to help "pave the road from Ankara to Brussels".
Downing Street has said that the UK has a veto over other countries joining and that Mr Cameron has made clear that there will need to be a different set of "transitional arrangements" in future.

Mr Gove said in an article for The Times earlier this week: "The EU response to the migration crisis is a Five Nations free-for-all with an invitation to Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania and Turkey to join the Union.
"Because we cannot control our borders - and because our deal sadly does nothing to change this fact - public services such as the NHS will face an unquantifiable strain as millions more become EU citizens and have the right to move to the UK.
"We cannot guarantee the same access people currently enjoy to healthcare and housing if these trends continue.
"There is a direct and serious threat to our public services, standard of living and ability to maintain social solidarity if we accept continued EU membership."

A DEVASTATING new report has claimed that the Government has underestimated net migration from the EU to the UK by at least 250,000 over the last five years.

In a massive blow to David Cameron’s Remain campaign, a new study by Migration Watch has shown that the number of National Insurance numbers issued to immigrants from Eastern Europe is far higher than the official immigration figures from that part of the EU.
It means that more immigrants are flooding in from the EU than the rest of the world.
The report comes as the National Statistician John Pullinger has admitted that the Government has lost track of how many immigrants are pouring into Britain, telling a Commons committee that it is “impossible” to know how many have arrived.
Mr Pullinger was facing questions from the Commons’ Public Administration Committee over concerns that HM Revenues and Customs (HMRC) and other Government departments have been covering up true information about National Insurance number applications to allow people to work in the EU.
The Government and Remain campaign have already been left reeling this week from Home Secretary Theresa May’s admission that it is impossible to stop Britain being overwhelmed by migrants while it remains in the EU with largely unfettered free movement for its 500 million citizens.
And further doubts have been raised over Mr Cameron’s much derided renegotiation delivering on stemming the flow of incomers from Europe despite winning minor concessions on limiting benefits for four years to EU migrants.
When he was first elected as Prime Minister in 2010 Mr Cameron promised to bring net migration down to “the tens of thousands” but has failed to meet his target with official figures suggesting that net migration was 323,000 last year with 172,000 from the EU in the year up to September 2015.
However, in the same 12-month period more than 600,000 National Insurance numbers were issued to immigrants with the Government claiming that the discrepancy was due to a backlog in applications.
But Migrant Watch’s analysis of figures over the last five years has revealed that on a study of Eastern European states such as Romania and Bulgaria alone there are at least 50,000 more National Insurance numbers issued a year than officially recognised in the migration figures.
It means that net migration to the UK is running at least 375,000 with 220,000 from the EU dwarfing 155,000 from the rest of the world.
Lord Green of Deddington, Chairman of Migration Watch UK, said: “This analysis casts serious doubt on the accuracy of our immigration figures.
“The ONS have recognised that they undercounted EU8 migration between 2004 and 2010.
“It now seems very likely that the undercounting of EU migration has continued and, therefore, that net migration from the EU is now greater than that from the rest of the world taken together.”

Pro-Brexit supporters have seized on the revelation as further proof that the UK needs to leave the EU to regain control of its borders.

Ukip migration spokesman Steven Woolfe said: "The scale of EU immigration into this country is simply unsustainable.
"As a member of the EU we do not have any power to reduce the levels of migration from EU member states.”

British Member of Parliament (MP) Naz Shah quit one of her political positions on Tuesday, scrambling to distance herself from anti-Semitic posts on social media that angered Israelis and Americans alike – while retaining a role that puts her in charge of investigating anti-Semitism in the UK.
Shah became the Labour Party Member of Parliament representing Bradford West in 2015. Two months ago, Shah was appointed as the Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to John McDowell, the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer.
In August of 2014, one year before she was elected, she posted an image on Facebook of a map of Israel superimposed on a map of the United States with the caption “Problem Solved”, essentially suggesting that the Jews in Israel should be transported to a newly-created state inside US borders.

She noted that Israel would need to return all the land and farms it has “stolen” and give full rights to the Palestinians. The future MP also suggested that moving the Jews to the US “would save them some pocket money”, suggesting the Americans could foot the bill out of all the money they give to Israel in military aid. The US, she said, “had plenty of land”.
She promised to present the idea to US President Barack Obama and UK Prime Minister David Cameron. At the time, she was not in an elected position but working as the chair of a mental health charity called Sharing Voices Bradford.

The Facebook post was discovered by Guido Fawkes, one of Britain’s leading political blog sites, and posted on Monday. The website then discovered a graphic Shah had posted on Twitter comparing “apartheid Israel” to Hitler, and yet another anti-Israel Facebook post with a link to a newspaper poll asking whether Israel had committed war crimes. She urged people to vote because “the Jews are rallying to the poll”.

More anti-Semitic comments by Shah were not difficult to find. The JC discovered a link posted on her Twitter account with a link to a blog claiming Zionism had been used to “groom” Jews to “exert political influence at the highest levels of public office”.
After her anti-Semitic remarks were made public, Shah contacted Guido Fawkes and explained, “This post from two years ago was made before I was an MP, does not reflect my views and I apologise for any offence it has caused.”
But Shah’s anti-Semitic opinions did not change after she was elected. During a parliamentary debate on child detainees and prisoners in Judea and Samaria – most of which had attacked Israelis – Shah claimed it was “absolutely unacceptable” to arrest minors because the Israeli government had no evidence that Israeli children were killed or injured by Palestinian minors protesting in the West Bank. Eitan Na’eh, Israel’s acting ambassador in London, wrote a formal complaint to Shah expressing his “profound concern”, noting, “the fact [is] that rock-throwing is a violent crime that can, and has, led to death on multiple occasions.”
Shah resigned from her position as PPS and the Labour Party issued a statement of apology in her name.
“I deeply regret the hurt I have caused by comments made on social media before I was elected as an MP. I made these posts at the height of the Gaza conflict in 2014, when emotions were running high around the Middle East conflict. But that is no excuse for the offence I have given, for which I unreservedly apologise. In recognition of that offence I have stepped down from my role as PPS to the Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell,” the statement said.
Ironically, Shah is still a member of the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee, which is new keyboard
conducting an inquiry into the rise of anti-Semitism. She justified her decision to retain this post, saying, “I will be seeking to expand my existing engagement and dialogue with Jewish community organisations, and will be stepping up my efforts to combat all forms of racism, including anti-Semitism.”
The Labour party has been accused of anti-Semitism in the past. Eight Tory MPs demanded that the Labour Party take action against Shah, at the very least by removing her from the Home Affairs Committee.
Shah’s Labour party colleague, John Mann, compared her to a Nazi, saying to Guido Fawkes, “The last person to propose a forced repatriation of this kind was Adolph Eichmann on August 15 in 1940.”
Jonathan Sacerdoti, director of communications at the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, said in an interview with The Independent that the apology was not sufficient.
“One cannot simply apologise for ‘any offence caused’ and expect a evidence of gross and brazen anti-Semitism to disappear,” he said.
“Once again the Labour Party has been revealed to have within its ranks people who express extreme prejudice towards Jewish people in their public statements; once again the party has failed to find these statements itself, and reject those who freely and willingly express them.”

She justified her decision to retain this post, saying, “I will be seeking to expand my existing engagement and dialogue with Jewish community organisations, and will be stepping up my efforts to combat all forms of racism, including anti-Semitism.”
The Labour party has been accused of anti-Semitism in the past. Eight Tory MPs demanded that the Labour Party take action against Shah, at the very least by removing her from the Home Affairs Committee.
Shah’s Labour party colleague, John Mann, compared her to a Nazi, saying to Guido Fawkes, “The last person to propose a forced repatriation of this kind was Adolph Eichmann on August 15 in 1940.”
Jonathan Sacerdoti, director of communications at the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, said in an interview with The Independent that the apology was not sufficient.
“One cannot simply apologise for ‘any offence caused’ and expect a evidence of gross and brazen anti-Semitism to disappear,” he said.
“Once again the Labour Party has been revealed to have within its ranks people who express extreme prejudice towards Jewish people in their public statements; once again the party has failed to find these statements itself, and reject those who freely and willingly express them.”

Her majesty called the US president’s bevy of choppers “over the top”, meaning the Secret Service had to rethink their plans to land about six aircraft in the 300-year-old gardens of her main residence during his tour of the UK this week.
The Queen put her foot down and said there was no chance his extensive security backup would be accompanying him to Windsor Castle.
She said only three helicopters, including the president’s personal aircraft Marine One, could land on the lawn when Mr Obama, 54, and his wife, Michelle, 52, came for dinner with the Queen and Prince Philip to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Her insistence came after the president’s helicopters damaged the grass when half a dozen of them landed during his last visit in 2011.
The engines’ heat scorched the grounds and the wheels left divots in one of the UK’s oldest lawns, planted during the reign of Queen Anne in the early 1700s.
One royal source told the Daily Star Sunday: “It was a write-off and the Queen was not amused.”

A total of 63% of voters questioned in the survey wanted tighter border controls. Only 14% thought the current level of immigration was "about right".
Nearly one in three voters (31%) felt the level of immigration had a "negative impact" on their lives.
One in five voters (20%) said migration would be the most important issue in deciding how to vote in the in-or-out EU referendum on June 23.

Mr Grayling will warn that another surge in Brussels meddling will hit Britain if the country votes to stay in the EU.

And he drew laughs as he quipped: “We are passengers locked in the back of a mini-cab with a wonky sat nav driven by a driver who doesn’t have perfect command of English and going in a direction, frankly, we don’t want to go.”
On the other side of the argument the contrast could not have been more stark, with the pro-Brussels lobby drafting in dour ex-Labour Chancellor Alistair Darling to deliver a series of scarcely credible doomsday threats.
It was the latest desperate ploy from Mr Cameron’s Project Fear, which hopes it can scare people into voting to stick with the Brussels project on June 23.
But their scaremongering was dismissed by the London Mayor, who said Remain campaigners are simply kow-towing to big business and vested interests and do not have “a shred of idealism” in them.
And in the kind of speech Mr Cameron must have been dreading, the popular MP insisted it is better to take a positive step in the hope of making life better for millions of ordinary Britons rather than stick to a hopeless, hated status quo over trumped up fears a Brexit could make things worse.

And as for the people who say we can’t trade freely with the rest of the world, all the people who prophesy doom, who say that the pound would fall or that interest rates could rise or there will be a plague of frogs, you know who they remind me of?
“They remind me of the prophets of doom who said the millennium bug would cause planes to fall from the sky, and they’re very often the same people who said it would be an economic disaster if we didn’t join the Euro.
“The very opposite turned out to be true and it’s precisely because we stayed out of the Euro that we now have the most dynamic economy in Europe.”
Unlike doom mongers Mr Cameron and Mr Osborne, who consistently belittle British workers with patronising speeches about how we cannot make it alone, charismatic Mr Johnson gave an impassioned defence of British industry and creativity.
He said it was an “astonishing fact that this great country exports all sorts of things around the world”, listing products ranging from financial services and cultural achievements to bicycles built in London.
And he added that British companies could once again venture out into the wider world, creating new jobs and opportunities, if freed from the shackles of excessive Brussels red tape which costs our economy £600 million a week.

“Just imagine that the EU had never been invented and the history of the last 60 years had been entirely different. It had been all about free trade and economic cooperation between our friends and partners in the European Union, with peace guaranteed by NATO, as indeed it has been.
“And imagine if somebody came to us now and said would you like to join this club a club that costs us £20 billion a year that takes away our right to control our borders and our right to control our democracy and where the real economic benefits to this country are about the same as membership of the Desperate Dan pie eater’s club.
“What would we say to them now knowing what we know now? Would we join it? No, we wouldn’t.”

The roaring Mayor of London dismissed David Cameron’s “depressing” campaign and laid out how the UK will thrive free from the shackles of constant EU interference.
In an upbeat speech which marked a stark contrast from the Remain camp’s constant moaning and scaremongering, the Tory big hitter thundered: “They say ‘it’s crap but we have no alternative’ .Well folks, we do have an alternative and it’s a glorious alternative.”

Mr Johnson was frequently interrupted by spontaneous applause as he delivered a stunning speech setting out the positive case for Britain leaving the Brussels project.

And he drew laughs as he quipped: “We are passengers locked in the back of a mini-cab with a wonky sat nav driven by a driver who doesn’t have perfect command of English and going in a direction, frankly, we don’t want to go.”
On the other side of the argument the contrast could not have been more stark, with the pro-Brussels lobby drafting in dour ex-Labour Chancellor Alistair Darling to deliver a series of scarcely credible doomsday threats.
It was the latest desperate ploy from Mr Cameron’s Project Fear, which hopes it can scare people into voting to stick with the Brussels project on June 23.
But their scaremongering was dismissed by the London Mayor, who said Remain campaigners are simply kow-towing to big business and vested interests and do not have “a shred of idealism” in them.
And in the kind of speech Mr Cameron must have been dreading, the popular MP insisted it is better to take a positive step in the hope of making life better for millions of ordinary Britons rather than stick to a hopeless, hated status quo over trumped up fears a Brexit could make things worse.

He said: “The most depressing thing is that there is not one shred of idealism in their argument. Not a single one of them will stand up and admit that this is a political project.
“No one will say ‘you know what, I rather love the idea of a federal Europe’ but they should. That’s the logic of their position.
“But that’s not what they say, what they keep saying is ‘I’m a eurosceptic of course - we’re all eurosceptics - but we’ve got no choice’.
“They say ‘we all agree with you about the democratic problems, but it’s the price we have to pay’.
“The EU, they say it’s crap but we have no alternative - that’s their line.”

A CAR exploded into flames at a UK airport today just minutes before a man was arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

A car burst into flames at Manchester Airport
The drama unfolded as it was revealed police discovered a “suspicious substance” when they arrested five people while targeting a terror cell with alleged links to the deadly attacks in Paris and Brussels.
The car, believed to be a taxi or a chauffeur-driven vehicle, was outside Manchester Airport’s terminal three building this morning when smoke began to billow from under the bonnet.
Moments later the vehicle dramatically burst into flames.

A shocked witness said: “The driver stopped his car and there was smoke coming out of the bonnet and then it went up in flames.”
Miraculously it is not believed anyone was hurt in the fireball and flights in and out of the airport were not affected.
Just moments later, at the same airport, a teenager was arrested on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.
The 18-year-old man from Birmingham was held by counter-terrorism officers after returning to the UK, West Midlands Police confirmed.
It is not thought the fireball was related to the terror arrest.
A force spokesman said: “Today’s arrest follows the arrest of a man and a woman on Monday, April 4. The pair, a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Birmingham, are currently on police bail.
“There was no risk to any passengers at Manchester Airport or to the wider public in relation to these arrests.”
The drama at the airport came just hours after police arrested four men and a woman as part of an investigation involving MI5 and authorities in France and Belgium, discovering what they described as a “suspicious substance”.

The suspect material was discovered at an address in Birmingham, where men, aged 26, 40 and 59, and a 29-year-old woman were arrested.
A 26-year-old man was also arrested at Gatwick Airport in the early hours of Friday and all five were held on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
Police said they are not linking the three incidents.
Counter-terrorism officers were today given seven further days to question three of the men, two aged 26 and one aged 40, and a 29-year-old woman, West Midlands Police said.
A 59-year-old man has been released on bail “with strict conditions”.
West Midlands Police (WMP) said the arrests formed part of an extensive inquiry into “any associated threat” to Britain following terrorist atrocities in the French and Belgian capitals.
Officers are continuing to search a number of properties in Birmingham.
Assistant Chief Constable Marcus Beale said: “This action forms part of an extensive investigation by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit, together with the wider counter terrorism network, MI5 and international partners including Belgian and French authorities to address any associated threat to the UK following the attacks in Europe.
“There was no risk to the public at any time and there is no information to suggest an attack in the UK was being planned.”
All five people arrested were held on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
It comes just a week after the arrest of Mohamed Abrini, who admitted being the “man in the hat” pictured alongside two suicide bombers who blew themselves up at Brussels Airport last month.
Some 32 people were killed and nearly 300 were injured in suicide blasts at the airport and the city’s Maelbeek subway station.
Abrini was the last identified suspect still at large following the November 13 attacks in Paris, which left 130 people dead.

UK Equalities Chief Who Popularised The Term ‘Islamophobia’ Admits: ‘I Thought Muslims Would Blend into Britain… I Should Have Known Better’
The former head of Britain’s Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Trevor Phillips, has admitted he “got almost everything wrong” on Muslim immigration in a damning new report on integration, segregation, and how the followers of Islam are creating “nations within nations” in the West.
Phillips, a former elected member of the Labour Party who served as the Chairman of the EHRC from 2003-2012 will present “What British Muslims Really Think” on Channel 4 on Wednesday. An ICM poll released to the Times ahead of the broadcast reveals:
One in five Muslims in Britain never enter a non-Muslim house;
39 per cent of Muslims, male and female, say a woman should always obey her husband;
31 per cent of British Muslims support the right of a man to have more than one wife;
52 per cent of Muslims did not believe that homosexuality should be legal;
23 per cent of Muslims support the introduction of Sharia law rather than the laws laid down by parliament.
Writing in the Times on the issue, Phillips admits: “Liberal opinion in Britain has, for more than two decades, maintained that most Muslims are just like everyone else… Britain desperately wants to think of its Muslims as versions of the Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, or the cheeky-chappie athlete Mo Farah. But thanks to the most detailed and comprehensive survey of British Muslim opinion yet conducted, we now know that just isn’t how it is.”
Phillips commissioned “the Runnymede report” into Britain and Islamophobia in 1997 which, according to both Phillips himself and academics across the country, popularised the phrase which has now become synonymous with any criticism – legitimate or not – of Islam or Muslims.
Durham University’s Anthropology Journal noted in 2007: “It has been a decade since the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia was established, a Commission that through its 1997 report, “Islamophobia: a challenge for us all” (“the Runnymede report”) not only raised an awareness of the growing reality of anti-Muslim and anti-Islamic hostility in Britain, but also marked the onset of what might be described as ‘the first decade of Islamophobia’. In doing so, the Runnymede report propelled the word ‘Islamophobia’ into the everyday common parlance and discourses of both the public and political spaces.”
Phillips says his new data shows “a chasm” opening between Muslims and non-Muslims on fundamental issues such as marriage, relations between men and women, schooling, freedom of expression and even the validity of violence in defence of religion. He notes – echoing an article on Breitbart London just two weeks ago which reveals a growing disparity between older and younger Muslims in Britain – that “the gaps between Muslim and non-Muslim youngsters are nearly as large as those between their elders”.
And while he is cautious to note that many Muslims in Britain are grateful to be here, and do identify with role models such as Hussain and Farah, there is a widening gap in society with many Muslims segregating themselves.
“It’s not as though we couldn’t have seen this coming. But we’ve repeatedly failed to spot the warning signs,” he admits.
“Twenty years ago… I published the report titled Islamophobia: A Challenge for Us All, we thought that the real risk of the arrival of new communities was discrimination against Muslims. Our 1996 survey of recent incidents showed that there was plenty of it around. But we got almost everything else wrong.”
His comments will come as a blow to those who continue to attack elements in British society who are concerned about Muslim immigration and integration, and in fact may even go some way to shoring up comments made by U.S. Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97%
seeking to slow down or pause the rate of Muslim immigration into the West.
“We estimated that the Muslim population of the UK would be approaching 2 [million] by 2020. We underestimated by nearly a million. We predicted that the most lethal threat to Muslims would come from racial attacks and social exclusion. We completely failed to foresee the urban conflicts of 2001 that ravaged our northern cities. And of course we didn’t dream of 9/11 and the atrocities in Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Brussels and London.”
“For a long time, I too thought that Europe’s Muslims would become like previous waves of migrants, gradually abandoning their ancestral ways, wearing their religious and cultural baggage lightly, and gradually blending into Britain’s diverse identity landscape. I should have known better.”
And Mr. Phillips even acknowledges that the mass sexual grooming and rape scandals that are plaguing heavily Muslim populated towns across Britain are because of Muslim – not ‘Asian’ – men. He writes: “The contempt for white girls among some Muslim men has been highlighted by the recent scandals in Rotherham, Oxford, Rochdale and other towns. But this merely reflects a deeply ingrained sexism that runs through Britain’s Muslim communities” – in a nod to those who have long protested this to be the case in the face of political, media, and even police cover ups.
Even left wing columnist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown told him: “[W]e [liberal Muslims] are a dying breed — in 10 years there will be very few of us left unless something really important is done.”
Phillips comments: “Some of my journalist friends imagine that, with time, the Muslims will grow out of it. They won’t.”
And indeed he lays the blame at the feet of the liberal, metropolitan elite, media classes: “Oddly, the biggest obstacles we now face in addressing the growth of this nation-within-a-nation are not created by British Muslims themselves. Many of our (distinctly un-diverse) elite political and media classes simply refuse to acknowledge the truth. Any undesirable behaviours are attributed to poverty and alienation. Backing for violent extremism must be the fault of the Americans. Oppression of women is a cultural trait that will fade with time, nothing to do with the true face of Islam.”
“Even when confronted with the growing pile of evidence to the contrary, and the angst of the liberal minority of British Muslims, clever, important people still cling to the patronising certainty that British Muslims will, over time, come to see that “our” ways are better.”
In terms of solutions, Mr. Phillips opines on “halting the growth of sharia courts and placing them under regulation” ensuring that school governance never falls into the hands of a single-minority group, “ensuring mosques that receive a steady flow of funds from foreign governments such as Saudi Arabia, however disguised, are forced to reduce their dependency on Wahhabi patronage” and an end to the “silence-for-votes understanding between local politicians and Muslim leaders — the sort of Pontius Pilate deal that had such catastrophic outcomes in Rotherham and Rochdale”.
Mr. Phillips’s comments echo those of the Czech president, and research from across Europe that revealed attitudes amongst Muslims on the continent have hardened. The younger the Muslim, the more likely they are to hold hard-line views, one recent study found.

One in five Muslims in Britain never enter a non-Muslim house;
39 per cent of Muslims, male and female, say a woman should always obey her husband;
31 per cent of British Muslims support the right of a man to have more than one wife;
52 per cent of Muslims did not believe that homosexuality should be legal;
23 per cent of Muslims support the introduction of Sharia law rather than the laws laid down by parliament.
Writing in the Times on the issue, Phillips admits: “Liberal opinion in Britain has, for more than two decades, maintained that most Muslims are just like everyone else… Britain desperately wants to think of its Muslims as versions of the Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, or the cheeky-chappie athlete Mo Farah. But thanks to the most detailed and comprehensive survey of British Muslim opinion yet conducted, we now know that just isn’t how it is.”
Phillips commissioned “the Runnymede report” into Britain and Islamophobia in 1997 which, according to both Phillips himself and academics across the country, popularised the phrase which has now become synonymous with any criticism – legitimate or not – of Islam or Muslims.
Durham University’s Anthropology Journal noted in 2007: “It has been a decade since the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia was established, a Commission that through its 1997 report, “Islamophobia: a challenge for us all” (“the Runnymede report”) not only raised an awareness of the growing reality of anti-Muslim and anti-Islamic hostility in Britain, but also marked the onset of what might be described as ‘the first decade of Islamophobia’. In doing so, the Runnymede report propelled the word ‘Islamophobia’ into the everyday common parlance and discourses of both the public and political spaces.”
Phillips says his new data shows “a chasm” opening between Muslims and non-Muslims on fundamental issues such as marriage, relations between men and women, schooling, freedom of expression and even the validity of violence in defence of religion. He notes – echoing an article on Breitbart London just two weeks ago which reveals a growing disparity between older and younger Muslims in Britain – that “the gaps between Muslim and non-Muslim youngsters are nearly as large as those between their elders”.
And while he is cautious to note that many Muslims in Britain are grateful to be here, and do identify with role models such as Hussain and Farah, there is a widening gap in society with many Muslims segregating themselves.
“It’s not as though we couldn’t have seen this coming. But we’ve repeatedly failed to spot the warning signs,” he admits.
“Twenty years ago… I published the report titled Islamophobia: A Challenge for Us All, we thought that the real risk of the arrival of new communities was discrimination against Muslims. Our 1996 survey of recent incidents showed that there was plenty of it around. But we got almost everything else wrong.”
His comments will come as a blow to those who continue to attack elements in British society who are concerned about Muslim immigration and integration, and in fact may even go some way to shoring up comments made by U.S. Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97%
seeking to slow down or pause the rate of Muslim immigration into the West.
“We estimated that the Muslim population of the UK would be approaching 2 [million] by 2020. We underestimated by nearly a million. We predicted that the most lethal threat to Muslims would come from racial attacks and social exclusion. We completely failed to foresee the urban conflicts of 2001 that ravaged our northern cities. And of course we didn’t dream of 9/11 and the atrocities in Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Brussels and London.”
“For a long time, I too thought that Europe’s Muslims would become like previous waves of migrants, gradually abandoning their ancestral ways, wearing their religious and cultural baggage lightly, and gradually blending into Britain’s diverse identity landscape. I should have known better.”
And Mr. Phillips even acknowledges that the mass sexual grooming and rape scandals that are plaguing heavily Muslim populated towns across Britain are because of Muslim – not ‘Asian’ – men. He writes: “The contempt for white girls among some Muslim men has been highlighted by the recent scandals in Rotherham, Oxford, Rochdale and other towns. But this merely reflects a deeply ingrained sexism that runs through Britain’s Muslim communities” – in a nod to those who have long protested this to be the case in the face of political, media, and even police cover ups.
Even left wing columnist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown told him: “[W]e [liberal Muslims] are a dying breed — in 10 years there will be very few of us left unless something really important is done.”
Phillips comments: “Some of my journalist friends imagine that, with time, the Muslims will grow out of it. They won’t.”
And indeed he lays the blame at the feet of the liberal, metropolitan elite, media classes: “Oddly, the biggest obstacles we now face in addressing the growth of this nation-within-a-nation are not created by British Muslims themselves. Many of our (distinctly un-diverse) elite political and media classes simply refuse to acknowledge the truth. Any undesirable behaviours are attributed to poverty and alienation. Backing for violent extremism must be the fault of the Americans. Oppression of women is a cultural trait that will fade with time, nothing to do with the true face of Islam.”
“Even when confronted with the growing pile of evidence to the contrary, and the angst of the liberal minority of British Muslims, clever, important people still cling to the patronising certainty that British Muslims will, over time, come to see that “our” ways are better.”
In terms of solutions, Mr. Phillips opines on “halting the growth of sharia courts and placing them under regulation” ensuring that school governance never falls into the hands of a single-minority group, “ensuring mosques that receive a steady flow of funds from foreign governments such as Saudi Arabia, however disguised, are forced to reduce their dependency on Wahhabi patronage” and an end to the “silence-for-votes understanding between local politicians and Muslim leaders — the sort of Pontius Pilate deal that had such catastrophic outcomes in Rotherham and Rochdale”.
Mr. Phillips’s comments echo those of the Czech president, and research from across Europe that revealed attitudes amongst Muslims on the continent have hardened. The younger the Muslim, the more likely they are to hold hard-line views, one recent study found.

Whether by accident or design, the arrival in London of a full-size replica of an arch which stood on the site of the recently-destroyed Temple of Ba’al coincides with an ancient pagan festival that connects the modern replicas with their ancient roots: serving false idols.
The 28-meter tall 3-D printed model, created by the Institute for Digital Archeology, represents a famous arch of the original Temple of Palmyra in Syria, which drew 150,000 visitors a year until it was destroyed by ISIS in September. The first replica arch will be on display in London’s Trafalgar Square later this month during UNESCO World Heritage Week, beginning April 18th and ending on the 22nd, as a symbol of protest against religious extremism; another arch will rise in Times Square next autumn.
April 19th is not a meaningful date to most, but to occultists and worshippers of Ba’al, it is a most auspicious time. Halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, it marked the first day of summer in ancient times, initiating a 13-day period known in the occult as “the Blood Sacrifice to the Beast”. This period culminates in Beltane, the major festival for the worship of Ba’al – or, as it is known in the Western world, May Day.
The Temple of Ba’al, built 2,000 years ago to honor the god of orgies and child sacrifice, was the stage for this pagan festival in ancient times.
This time period of the Blood Sacrifice was so significant that, after the pagans, the Romans celebrated a festival of fertility, called Fordicidia, on the same dates, beginning April 15th and ending April 19th with the festival of Cerealia.
Ba’al, worshipped by the Mesopotamians, was a major influence in ancient times. Mentioned more than 90 times in the Bible, most notably when Elijah defeated the priests of Ba’al in a contest to bring down fire from heaven to burn a sacrifice, Ba’al became the archetypical form of idol worship.

Followers of Ba’al engaged in bisexual orgies and sacrificed human infants, burning them alive. Pantheistic, they worshipped Mother Nature while denying the existence of a creator.
Though worshipping Ba’al and other idols is not especially prevalent in Western culture today, their holidays persist, taking on different meanings but retaining some of their ancient symbols and meaning. Bonfires, another prominent aspect of May Day celebrations, are reminiscent of the fires used for child sacrifices.

Beltane Fire Festivals are, in fact, held all over the world, perpetuated as part of ancient Gaelic culture. In an unfortunate misunderstanding of the festival’s roots, they are frequently billed as family events, with children being given special discounts.
Other Beltane festivals more closely resemble the original as it was celebrated in Palmyra so many years ago, with revelers painting their bodies and dancing around the bonfire, nude.
It is unlikely the Institute for Digital Archaeology, a joint project of Oxford and Harvard universities, or UNESCO chose the date for the Palmyra arch to stand in London based on pagan festivals. Nonetheless, it is an eerie coincidence.

Isis supporters have released a new video calling for new terror attacks in London, Berlin and Rome.
The video, called “Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands”, called on extremists to “kill (infidels) wherever you find them”.
After showing footage of the attacks in Paris and Brussels, as well as 9/11, the narrator called the previous atrocities a “cautionary message” to nations fighting the so-called Islamic State.
“If it was Paris yesterday, and today in Brussels, Allah knows where it will be tomorrow,” a narrator said in English. “Maybe it will be in London or Berlin or Rome.”
Gory clips of executions were played as a religious song urged followers to launch lone-wolf attacks against the “nations of the cross”, claiming they would be in revenge for air strikes in Iraq and Syria.
“We are the brothers of light with the kuffar in sight,” said the song’s lyrics. “We will march to the gates of paradise where our maidens await.”
What appeared to be a video game simulation of the Eiffel Tower falling was featured, alongside images of a burned Union Flag and the Houses of Parliament under attack.
The propaganda film was released on Monday by a group called Al Wa’ad Media Production, which activists in Raqqa said supported Isis.
Claiming responsibility for the bombings that killed more than 30 people in Brussels last month, militants threatened to bring more “dark days” to Europe.
Some terrorism experts said the latest atrocity showed the group lashing out as it suffers military defeats in its territories and has top commanders picked off by air strikes.
A note attributed to one of the Brussels bombers, Brahim el-Bakraoui, showed panic and disorganisation as he wrote of being “in a rush” and feeling “hunted” by security forces.
The assault came days after the capture of surviving Paris attacker Salah Abdeslam in a huge intelligence coup for European authorities.
Gilles Kepel, a French expert on jihadism, told The Independent that Isis’ propaganda message had become “muddled”.
“Its communication is in crisis,” he said. “These indiscriminate attacks have fallen on multi-cultural cities with exactly the kind of Muslim populations they are trying to recruit.
“But these actions have not brought Muslims together [behind Isis]. Far from it.”

A former British intelligence officer said: “Everyone in the counter-terrorism community believes an attack in Britain will take place."
There are about 450 extremists "of concern to counter-terror officials" throughout the UK.
Some have returned from the conflict in Syria and others have been radicalised at home.

The intelligence source added: "The pace of investigations to try and stop this happening is extremely dynamic and fast-moving.
“There is no respite and no sign of the threat to Britain going away.
“The shocking thing about what happened in Paris and the ongoing situation in Brussels is their ability.
“They have shown a high degree of organisation – more than was previously suspected – a strong logistical chain, the ability to get the material needed, guns, explosives, planning.”
Since 2014, Britain has been as a “severe” threat of an attack from extremists, meaning a bombing or shooting on our streets is “highly likely”.
This threat level is one stage away from the top alert state of “critical” which means there is credible intelligence that an attack is imminent.
ISIS released a sickening new video last week claiming the Brussels bombings were "just a warning" and "only a taste" of what is to come.
