They burned and looted Jewish businesses and homes, and destroyed synagogues. Arab Israelis rioted at key traffic junctions to block military traffic. Arab truck drivers working for the IDF didn’t show up to work.

A wake-up call
May 2021 was a wake-up call that Israel’s leadership simply couldn’t ignore, Glick and Eitam note. At least until Naftali Bennett formed a government with the Muslim Brotherhood party Ra’am and pretended the whole thing away in order to serve as prime minister with the backing of a mere 5 percent of voters.

As Israel goes towards new elections in November, Arab Israelis again are increasing their violent actions against their Jewish neighbors on various levels. Once again Eitam sounds the alarm: Arab Israelis are building an army under Israel’s nose.

“They train themselves,” he says, adding that they travel to remote places at night to practice shooting. “This is my old soldier ear which can hear that this is not a fantasy, it is not just shooting at weddings.”

“They are trained, they are committed, they have experience in killing,” Eitam also adds, referring to the high rate of violent crime within the Arab sector. “Slowly, step by step, an army is emerging.”

A nexus of progressivism and Islamism
Glick and Eitam discuss how the nexus of progressivism and Islamism has hamstrung Israel’s progressive politicians and jurists and caused them to side with the Israeli Arabs in their efforts to dismantle the Jewish state.

“The central campaign issue today as we move closer to the November 1 elections is whether Israel is going to remain a Jewish state or to become a post-Jewish state subsumed into an Arab nationalist narrative that rejects Jewish rights to the land of Israel,” the host also says.

Finally, in her closing remarks, Glick focuses on the legal fraternity’s key role in facilitating the current crisis. She emphasizes how a restoration of the rule of law – rather than of lawyers – is the first step that Israel must take to secure its national survival in the coming years and for posterity.

As was reported, the protests that started in Iran’s Kurdish regions over the death of a woman at the hands of Iran’s religious police are now spreading to other regions. Can these protests turn into a full fledge revolution?

Unless the protestors receive outside help, the chance of these protests overthrowing the regime is close to nothing. However, it may be enough that the protests began in Iran’s Kurdish regions. These regions have always posed a threat to the regime due to their independent nature.

The Kurdish regions are porous and often times get help from Kurds living on the Iraqi side of the border. If help were to be given to the protestors, it would have to come from there. The US and Israel maintain positive relationships with Iraqi Kurdish groups. Many believe the Israeli Mossad is already working with with Iranian Kurdish groups.

So if Israel and the US can supply weapons and materials to Iranian Kurds, then yes there is a possibility that the Iranian regime is in trouble.

Days before the Jewish high holy days of Rosh Hashanna and Yom Kippur, Hamas, the terrorist organization that runs Gaza, vowed a  “religious war” against Israel over what it called “violations against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque”. The Islamist ire is over the rise in Jewish visits to Judaism’s holiest site.

Speaking at a press conference in Gaza’s Omari Mosque, Mahmud Zahar, a senior member of Hamas, warned  “the continuation of the Zionist aggression and their brutality against Jerusalem and the holy shrines will be the cause of a major battle.”

The threat comes after Beyadenu, a Temple Mount activist organization, announced that a record 50,000 Jews ascended to the Temple Mount over the past year.

The Palestinians claim that the Temple Mount is holy because it is the site of Mohammad’s nighttime journey to the “Aqsa Mosque” (the further mosque) to pray. This claim is problematic as there was no mosque at the site during Mohammad’s lifetime, and the Mosque on the Temple Mount was built 70 years after Mohammad died. Most Sunni believe the location of this “further mosque” is in Al Juraana, Saudi Arabia.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, begins at sundown on Sunday and ends at sundown on Tuesday.

Some media incorrectly reported that Temple Mount activists blew the shofar on the Temple Mount last week. The right to religious freedom is mandated by Israeli law and includes such activities, the Israeli police prohibit Jewish religious expression on the Temple Mount due to fears of Palestinian violence. But no Jews blew the shofar on the Temple Mount last week. Two weeks ago, former Knesset Member Rabbi Yehudah Glick was arrested for playing a recording of a shofar on his cellphone. This week, Rabbi Glick was arrested for blowing a shofar in an area adjacent to the Temple Mount but the court ruled that the police had exceeded their authority and Rabbi Glick had not broken any laws. Nonetheless, Rabbi Glick was arrested again the following day for the same actions.

Omer Barlev, Israel’s minister in charge of police, announced this week that Jewish visitation to the site would take place during the holidays.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss told Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid on Wednesday that she is considering moving the British embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

A British government spokeswoman said Truss had told Lapid “about her review of the current location of the British Embassy in Israel.”

Truss, who was the foreign secretary until Sept. 6, pledged during the Conservative Party leadership contest in August to review moving the embassy, adding that she was aware of “the importance and sensitivity” that surrounded the legation’s location.

In May 2018, the United States opened its embassy in Jerusalem, a year after President Donald Trump announced that he would move it to the Israeli capital from Tel Aviv.

The current dispute between Lebanon and Israel over their maritime border and the Karish gas field has far reaching implications, not just for Israel, but for Europe and beyond. For a number of years, Israel has been excavating and exporting gas from just off its coast. No other country has claimed these fields until now.

It is easy to assume the simplest reason is that Lebanon wants a slice of the action, but in the Great Game of Middle Eastern and Eurasian geopolitics, the simple is never the real reason. Proof of this, is despite the Lebanese government’s potential maritime deal with Israel, Hezbollah has still threatened to attack the gas field is Israel turns it on – with or without an agreement with Lebanon.

We all understand that Hezbollah wants to eventually start a war with Israel. Would they do this over the Karish gas field? Are they so bolden as to not only fight Israel directly over the gas field, but in the face of a deal that Lebanon signed with Israel? Hezbollah has always prided itself on carefully working within the Lebanese political arena.

Hezbollah would only start a war over the Karish gas field if someone far more powerful than Lebanon were telling to do so. So who is that someone?

The first thought is its Iran. Battered and bruised in Syria, the Ayatollah would have reason to fight back and the Karish gas field appears at first glance to be a reasonable trigger. However, Iran is not yet ready to aid Hezbollah in fighting Israel.

The more likely player is Russia. Putin’s whole strategy in Ukraine and beyond has been to use Europe’s reliance on Russia’s gas as a weapon and so far it has worked masterfully. However, this weapon only works if there are no other players offering to inject gas into the European continent.

With Israel’s ascent as a gas exporter continuing, the Jewish state is disrupting Putin’s European strategy thus making it an enemy of Russia. While Iran may be involved in supporting Hezbollah in case a war breaks out, Putin most certainly is pushing Hezbollah towards the kind of conflict necessary to force Israel to hold off or delay production.

Russia and Iran are currently working together as can be seen by Russia’s purchase of Iranian attack drones for use in Ukraine. It is not a stretch to assume they are working together against Israel through Hezbollah as well.

Where is this all heading?

Unfortunately for Israel, the immediate future appears to be dictated by the war in Ukraine and Putin’s energy strategy. Any direct conflict with that puts it in Russia’s cross hairs – either directly or indirectly.

The question is, if they are maneuvering – what are they maneuvering for?

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said the strikes killed five Syrian soldiers and two members of Iran-backed groups.

An Israeli strike on the Damascus International Airport and nearby military posts south of the Syrian capital killed five soldiers, state media reported Saturday.

State news agency SANA, quoting an unnamed military official, said the strikes happened after midnight Friday, causing “material losses” as well. It added that some of the Israeli missiles were shot down before reaching their targets.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said the strikes killed five Syrian soldiers and two members of Iran-backed groups.

The Israeli army declined comment, saying it does not react to “foreign reports.”

The strike on the Damascus International Airport came 10 days after Israel launched a missile attack on Syria’s Aleppo airport in the north that put it out of commission for a few days. It was the second attack on Aleppo’s airport within a week.

On June 10, Israeli airstrikes on Damascus International Airport caused significant damage to infrastructure and runways and rendered the main runway unserviceable. The airport opened two weeks later following renovation work.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years, but rarely acknowledges or discusses such operations.

Israel has acknowledged, however, that it targets bases of Iran-allied militant groups, such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of fighters to support Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces.

CEASEFIRE TALKS SAID TO CAUSE RIFT BETWEEN ISRAEL AND EGYPT
In reaction to the incident, Defense Minister Benny Gantz ordered the immediate closure of two crossings in the border fence in the area until further notice. He also withdrew all the entry permits into sovereign Israel for the residents of Kafr Dan, at least temporarily, and ordered a “breathing” lockdown on the village that will not shut it down completely.

Gantz also referred to the fact that one of Falah’s murderers, Ahmed Abed, was a member of the Palestinian Authority’s security forces.

Calling it a “serious” matter, Gantz said that “it is a warning sign to the Palestinian Authority that it must do some self-examination and take action.”

“We will continue to act with high intensity wherever necessary, whenever necessary to prevent terrorism,” he added. “And I repeat – where the Palestinian Authority does not exercise sovereignty – we will take care of our security.”

Prime Minister Yair Lapid had labeled the presence of the terrorist in an official security capacity as “escalat[ing] things to another level.”

One terrorist killed during IDF operation in Kafr Dan, hometown of terrorists who murdered Major Bar Falah Tuesday night.

IDF troops came under fire Wednesday night in the village of the terrorists who killed their commander the previous night.

One Palestinian Arab terrorist was killed during a gun battle with the Israeli soldiers.

Soldiers from the Nahal Brigade Reconnaissance Unit entered the Palestinian Authority-administered town Kafr Dan in northern Samaria to map the homes of Ahmed Ayman Abed and Abdul Rahman Abed, who killed the unit’s deputy commander, Maj. Bar Falah in a clash by the border fence near the village.

The mapping is done prior to destroying terrorists’ houses to ensure that there is no collateral damage to others’ homes nearby.

During the operation, Palestinian Arab terrorists opened fire on the IDF soldiers.

In addition, Arab rioters hurled stones and Molotov cocktails.

The soldiers returned fire at the terrorists, killing one suspect who had been hurling firebombs at them.

The soldiers also arrested a relative of one of the men who killed Falah.

The investigators are also examining whether the IDF supporting force was properly positioned, and if the troops should have fired warning shots towards the terrorists to scare them off, rather than just shooting in the air.

In a Wednesday interview with Channel 14, one soldier in the Nahal unit which engaged the terrorists claimed that the Menashe Brigade commander who was in charge of the operation did not allow the soldiers to open fire because the two suspects targeted for arrest were not obviously armed. This, despite their having been under observation acting suspiciously for over two hours.

“When we then asked him for permission to get closer to the suspects in our armored jeep in order to see better and carry out the procedure for arresting suspects in a more protected way, he refused,” the soldier said.

At the end, the terrorists were the first ones to open fire, killing Falah, before being killed by other Israeli security personnel.

While speaking with reporters after the clash, head of Central Command Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fuchs defended the IDF’s rules of engagement vis-à-vis suspected terrorists.

“I think that the orders are broad enough so that the soldiers and commanders can carry out their mission,” he said. The commanders in the field “are very knowledgeable about what they are allowed and what they can do.” This included the fallen officer, he added.

In reaction to the incident, Defense Minister Benny Gantz ordered the immediate closure of two crossings in the border fence in the area until further notice. He also withdrew all the entry permits into sovereign Israel for the residents of Kafr Dan, at least temporarily, and ordered a “breathing” lockdown on the village that will not shut it down completely.

Gantz also referred to the fact that one of Falah’s murderers, Ahmed Abed, was a member of the Palestinian Authority’s security forces.

Calling it a “serious” matter, Gantz said that “it is a warning sign to the Palestinian Authority that it must do some self-examination and take action.”

“We will continue to act with high intensity wherever necessary, whenever necessary to prevent terrorism,” he added. “And I repeat – where the Palestinian Authority does not exercise sovereignty – we will take care of our security.”

Prime Minister Yair Lapid had labeled the presence of the terrorist in an official security capacity as “escalat[ing] things to another level.”

One terrorist killed during IDF operation in Kafr Dan, hometown of terrorists who murdered Major Bar Falah Tuesday night.

IDF troops came under fire Wednesday night in the village of the terrorists who killed their commander the previous night.

One Palestinian Arab terrorist was killed during a gun battle with the Israeli soldiers.

Soldiers from the Nahal Brigade Reconnaissance Unit entered the Palestinian Authority-administered town Kafr Dan in northern Samaria to map the homes of Ahmed Ayman Abed and Abdul Rahman Abed, who killed the unit’s deputy commander, Maj. Bar Falah in a clash by the border fence near the village.

The mapping is done prior to destroying terrorists’ houses to ensure that there is no collateral damage to others’ homes nearby.

During the operation, Palestinian Arab terrorists opened fire on the IDF soldiers.

In addition, Arab rioters hurled stones and Molotov cocktails.

The soldiers returned fire at the terrorists, killing one suspect who had been hurling firebombs at them.

The soldiers also arrested a relative of one of the men who killed Falah.

With war between Iran and Israel on the horizon, Iran has unveiled the Arash-2 suicide UAV. According to Brig. Gen. Kioumars Heydari, the head of the Iranian military’s ground forces, the Arash-2 suicide UAV is specifically designed to attack Israel’s coastal cities where a majority of the country’s populace lives.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders have repeatedly threatened to raze Tel Aviv and other major Israeli cities.

6 Facts about Britain’s new king.
With the passing of Britain’s beloved Queen Elizabeth II at age 96, the longest serving monarch in the United Kingdom’s history, her eldest son Prince Charles has become Britain’s newest monarch.  Here are six facts about King Charles III, Jews, and Israel.

Circumcised by a Rabbi
King Charles III has something in common with thousands of British Jews, he was circumcised by Rabbi Jacob Snowman (1871-1959), a brilliant physician and one of London’s leading mohelim (Jewish ritual circumcisers).

The tradition dates back to the early 1700s, when Britain’s King George I – who was born in Germany – imported the custom of German noblemen to have mohelim circumcise their sons.  It’s unclear why this became a tradition, but some speculate that their extensive experience reassured anxious parents that their sons would be safe during the procedure.  Charles’ mother Queen Elizabeth wanted only the best for Charles, so she turned to Rabbi Snowman, who was well known in London’s Jewish community.

Visiting Israel

Unlike Queen Elizabeth II, who never visited Israel in all her long years on the throne, her son Charles has made trips to the Jewish state.  One emotional visit occurred in 2016, when he travelled to Jerusalem for the funeral of former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres.  While there, Charles visited the grave of his grandmother, Princess Alice of Greece, who saved Jews during the Holocaust and was named Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem.  She is buried in Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

Born in 1885, Princess Alice was the great granddaughter of Britain’s Queen Victoria.  She married Prince Andrew of Greece and moved to Athens with her new husband. She was intensely unhappy. A religious Christian, Alice watched as her husband drifted into a life of dissolution. With the rise of Nazism in the 1930s, her three daughters all became ardent Fascists and married Nazi officials.  Only her son Philip, King Charles father, defied Nazism, moving to England and fighting with distinction in the British air force during World War II.

Princess Alice remained at home in Athens alone; her husband had long since left her and was completely devoted to a life of drinking and gambling. During the Holocaust, Princess Alice invited a Jewish family she was friends with, the Cohens, to move into her apartment with her. Her building was next to the Gestapo’s Athens headquarters, and Princess Alice was even brought in for questioning at one point, but she refused to divulge the fact that she was sheltering Jews.

After the Holocaust, she was named Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem.  Alice founded a religious order and died in 1969.  Her wish was to be buried in Israel.  At first her family ignored her request, but in 1988 the Royal Family arranged for her remains to be reinterred in Jerusalem.  On his 2016 visit to her grave, Charles brought purple flowers that had been grown in Scotland – her favorite – and placed them on her grave.

King Charles visited Israel again in 2020, when he attended the World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.  There, Charles lingered, speaking with Jewish Holocaust survivors at length, and hearing their stories. “He was very interested in how it was in Auschwitz and how we managed to survive,” explained survivor Marta Weiss, who met the newest monarch during his visit. “He was very sympathetic. He came across as genuinely interested, not just doing it for the sake of it.”

He Owns His Own Personalized Kippah
King Charles III owns his own personalized kippah: a blue velvet yarmalke adorned with the official royal crest of the Prince of Wales, his previous title, embroidered in gold and white thread.


One of the first sightings of the royal kippah was at the installation of Britain’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mervis in 2013. Charles was the first member of the royal family to attend an installation of a chief rabbi.

Friends with Leading Orthodox Rabbi
King Charles and Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi of Britain, of blessed memory, forged a close bond, brought together by their public roles as community leaders in Britain and by their shared commitment to making the world a better place. When Rabbi Sacks died in 2020, Charles delivered an emotional eulogy for his friend and teacher.

Rabbi Jonathan Sacks “and I were exact contemporaries, born in the year of the foundation of the State of Israel, and, over many years, I had come to value his counsel immensely.  He was a trusted guide, and inspired teacher and a true and steadfast friend.  I shall miss him more than words can say….  He taught us how to listen to others, and how to learn from them without compromising the convictions of either party; he taught us to value participation in the common life of the nation; and through it all, he taught us the need to respect the integrity and harmony of God’s Creation.”

Adding Portraits of Holocaust Survivors to the Royal Collection
Last year, King Charles commissioned seven major new paintings to add to the official Royal Collection of art, displayed in Buckingham Palace: seven paintings of Holocaust survivors.  The project was part of the prince’s long-standing aim of educating future generations and ensuring that the horrors of the Holocaust are never forgotten.

King Charles himself wrote an introduction to the exhibit’s catalog: “Behind every portrait is a unique story, of a life lived, of love, of loss.  However, these portraits represent something far greater than seven remarkable individuals.  They stand as a living memorial to the six million innocent men, women, and children whose stories will never be told, whose portraits will never be painted. They stand as a powerful testament to the quite extraordinary resilience and courage of those who survived and who, despite their advancing years, have continued to tell the world of the unimaginable atrocities they witnessed. They stand as a permanent reminder for our generation – and indeed, to future generations – of the depths of depravity and evil humankind can fall to when reason, compassion and truth are abandoned.”

Touched by Jewish Prayers for the Royal Family
Each week, Jews across Britain and the Commonwealth pray for the welfare of the monarch and their near relations in synagogue on Shabbat.  For decades, that meant praying for the welfare of Queen Elizabeth II – and her son, “Charles, Prince of Wales, and all the royal family….”

In 2019, at a royal Hanukah party at Buckingham Palace, King Charles praised Britain’s Jewish community and formally thanked them for their prayers. “I say this from a particular and personal perspective, because I Have grown up being deeply touched by the fact that British synagogues have, for centuries, remembered my family in your weekly prayers. And as you remember my family, so we too remember and celebrate you.”

King Charles III is consoling his nation from the depths of his very own grief. It is a testament to his commitment to a life of service and giving to others.

After Queen Elizabeth II's death, Britain's Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, noted that "Throughout her extraordinary reign, she conducted herself with grace, dignity and humility and was a global role model for distinguished leadership and selfless devotion to society… Every week in synagogue we have prayed for her welfare, well-being and wisdom, and she never let us down."

After almost six decades of exile, a scrap of papyrus inscribed with the name Ishmael when Solomon’s Temple stood will return to Jerusalem. A Montana resident gifted Israel a papyrus dating from the late 7th or early 6th century BCE, making it one of the three oldest-known papyrus fragments in the world.

The resident of Montana received the papyrus from his mother who acquired it when she was visiting Jordanian-occupied Jerusalem in 1965. Eitan Klein, head of the Israeli antiquities’ theft prevention unit, said she may have either purchased the object from Khalil Iskander Shahin — a Bethlehem-based antiquities dealer better known as “Kando,” who traded in many of the originally discovered Dead Sea Scrolls — or may have been given the papyrus byJoseph Saad, then-curator of the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem. They have both passed away and it remains unclear how they acquired the papyrus. After returning home, she hung it on the wall of her home. 

Jordanian law that was in force at the time severely restricted the sale of antiquities and prohibited the export of artifacts without a permit from the minister of antiquities. It is not clear whether the woman possessed such authorization.

The anonymous donor inherited the papyrus from his mother. Ben-Gurion University Professor Shmuel Ahituv of Ben-Gurion University’s Department of Bible Studies, Archaeology and the Ancient Near East noticed a photo of the papyrus in a colleague’s unpublished papers, noting that it was previously undocumented. He notified Klein who contacted the owner. The man was invited to Jerusalem in 2019 and the owner was persuaded that the facilities in Jerusalem would offer the best conditions to conserve and research the rare artifact. He then decided to donate it to the State of Israel.

Authorities believe it was likely looted sometime in the last century from a cave in the Judean Desert. Its story and disappearance for six decades make it provenance suspect but  The Israel Antiquities Authority said it authenticated its age using radiocarbon dating, which corresponded with the age of the text’s writing style.

Barely as large as a postage stamp and dating from the First Temple period (1200-586 BCE), the papyrus has four lines of ancient Hebrew script. The fragment is addressed to or from “Ishmael” and reads “Don’t send to …” and “of no help.”

Ishmael  (meaning “God will hear”) appeared in the Bible as the son of Abraham and the concubine Hagar, making him the half-brother of Isaac. Professor Ahituv noted that the name was common at the time, frequently appearing on a late Judean monarchy clay bulla – stamp for sealing documents – that reads “Belonging to Ishmael, the king’s son.”

“First Temple-period documents written on organic materials—such as this papyrus—have scarcely survived,” said Joe Uziel, Director of Israel Antiquities Authority’s Judean Desert scrolls unit. “Whilst we have thousands of scroll fragments dating from the Second Temple period, we have only three documents, including this newly found one, from the First Temple period. Each new document sheds further light on the literacy and the administration of the First Temple period.”

The papyrus was given to the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) Judean Desert Scroll Department’s Conservation Laboratory in Jerusalem. The papyrus will join the other 25,000 fragments in the collection that date from the end of the Second Temple period, around 70 CE. On Thursday, Ahituv presented the story at the IAA’s First Judean Desert Conference at the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem.

The Syrian opposition website Ayn Al-Furat (“Eye of Euphrates”) asserts in an “exclusive” article on Thursday that Iran is constructing “a large base to hold advanced weapons” close to Ayn Ali, in the Deir Al-Zour region of eastern Syria.
According to a report by MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM), exclusively shared with JNS, the article states that like the Imam Ali base, recently established by Iran in the desert near Al-Bukamal, the new base is being built in the desert as well, where the “second-largest concentration of Iranian forces in eastern Syria” is located.
Thirty officers from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of various ranks and expertise arrived in the area recently on a flight from Damascus to the military airfield in Deir Al-Zour.

Under strong security, the IRGC has also brought in heavy construction equipment from Al-Bukamal and Al-Mayadin, and has also reportedly begun prepping the site for the base’s construction.

According to the JTTM report, it intends to construct underground storage facilities for the weapons that regularly enter from Iraq, hidden either in refrigerated trucks for agricultural produce or in buses carrying pilgrims to Shi’ite holy sites in Syria. The IRGC is also constructing a tunnel network connecting all of the weaponry and missile facilities in the Ayn Ali area.

Additionally, the militias constructed “a large security compound” in the Ayn Ali area with dozens of positions armed with heavy weaponry and ground-to-ground missiles.

According to Air Force Times: The bombers took off from the Royal Air Force base at Fairford, England, and flew over the eastern Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula and the Red Sea on Sunday in training missions together with Kuwaiti and Saudi warplanes, as well as U.S. ground and naval units, before departing the region, according to an Air Forces Central news release.”

What was not reported, but later confirmed by Israel, is that Israeli F-35’s also took part in the exercises. The question, given all the tension with Iran and the faltering nuclear deal that the Western powers are obsessed in making, does the Biden administration truly have the will and backbone to take on Iran?

Or Perhaps this exercise was only bluster.

“Threats to the U.S. and our partners will not go unanswered.,” Lt. Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, the top U.S. Air Force officer in the Middle East said in a statement. “Missions like this … showcase our ability to combine forces to deter and, if necessary, defeat our adversaries.”

“This Bomber Task Force is a strong, clear representation of enduring U.S. commitment to the region,” said Lt. Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, commander of 9th Air Force (Air Forces Central), in the news release. “In addition to maintaining a sufficient, sustainable force posture, AFCENT is able — in concert with our partners — to rapidly inject overwhelming combat power into the region on demand.

Although Biden’s strategy is not clear, Israel’s is. None of the major party leaders across the Israeli political spectrum will rely only on the US. The Israeli leadership has made it clear – they are willing to go it alone, no matter what.

Perhaps this is why Hezbollah has called in reinforcements and bolstered its armed division near the Israeli border. They know something is coming and with it a far greater conflict.

The Alma Research and Education Center a bipartisan organization with the mission of making in-depth geopolitical knowledge about the Middle East accessible to English speakers stated the following on their site about Hezbollah’s current movements and plans:

“Various reports indicate that Hezbollah is on high alert toward a possible confrontation with Israel due to the negotiations over the maritime borders. According to various reports, Hezbollah is on its highest alert since 2006. According to those reports, Hezbollah recently conducted a competency test for its command posts and military communications system. Hezbollah’s reserve array was put on alert (Hezbollah had between 20,000 and 30,000 reservists), Hezbollah units were called back to Lebanon from Syria, and operatives in south Lebanon were reinforced.”

If this report is correct, Hezbollah is preparing for something big – beyond the dispute over the Karish gas field. So what’s coming?

As the Iran deal is faltering due to Iranian non-acceptance, war is fast approaching. Israel has made it clear they are willing to attack Iran to prevent from reaching breakout. The Islamic Republic in Tehran knows this and is preparing a full fledged counter attack using Hezbollah.

So while Biden’s administration plays up divisions in the United States and actively pulls back America influence from the world, the Iranian-Russian-Chinese Axis is quickly tying a noose around the Jewish State. Russia and China have no interest in fighting directly, but aiding and abetting the Iranian attack is well within their interests. After all they can pick up the pieces afterwards.

Last week former Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu came out of a meeting with current Prime Minister Yair Lapid visibly shaken on the government’s inability to halt the Iranian nuclear program as well as a lack of strategy on how to potentially deal with Iranian nuclear breakout.

“After leaving the security briefing, I must, unfortunately, say that I walked out even more concerned,” Netanyahu said in a statement given outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem.“We will support any strong public stance against the nuclear agreement. Unfortunately, I don’t see such a public position, Lapid and [Defense Minister Benny] Gantz fell asleep on guard, the Biden administration rushes to what the head of the Mossad rightly calls a ‘disaster’, and they do nothing.”

With another fractured election outcome on its way, Israel faces an existential threat with an amateur leadership. While this may seem dire, one just has to go back to 1967 when Israel was led by one of its weakest leaders, Levi Eshkol and still miraculously defeated all of its enemies in 6 days.

Things are precarious, but Israel has faced worse and survived and thrived. With the Almighty’s assistance , all of our challenges here can be flipped around to victories in an instant.

Israel is upgrading its already impressive international airport. The government is also working on a railway infrastructure that will bring international travelers directly from the airport to the Temple Mount. This will enable all 70 nations to come to worship God in Jerusalem’s House of prayer, a vision that the government has already hinted is their true intention.

The Director General of the Airports Authority, Hagai Topolansky, announced that in 2023, Ben Gurion International Airport will open a new mega-terminal.

“In the western part of Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport, another advanced terminal will be built that will combine innovation and efficiency and expand the services available for passengers going abroad. Starting next year, Terminal 3 will go through a digitization process that will make it possible for passengers to manage their departures abroad easily and independently,” Topolansky said. 

The new terminal will be  30 meters wide and 130 meters long, adding 22 check-in counters, a security check system, and conveyors connected to the HBS systems (hold baggage screening). 

“Our main goal is to improve the services provided to passengers through a strategy based on investments, innovation, and long-term vision that digitalize and improve the airport and, thus, improve services at Ben Gurion Airport and the flight experience for passengers,” added Topolansky.

It was also announced that with the approval of the Authority’s board and management, the engineering division began to plan the construction of the fifth wing for aircraft parking in the airport, adding areas for checking passenger baggage, connecting baggage conveyors, establishing additional food complexes, and establishing additional VIP rooms.

Israel National News reported that two million passengers will pass through the airport during September. In October, approximately 2 million more passengers are expected to pass through on international flights. In 2019, Ben Gurion handled 24.8 million passengers. The airport is considered among the five best airports in the Middle East due to its passenger experience and high level of security.

Recently signed normalization agreements with neighboring Arab countries have increased air routes for Israel and opened up Israel to Arab tourists. 

In 2020, Israel’s Transportation Ministry said that it would move ahead with plans to build an extension of the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem high-speed line that would directly connect Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. A proposal was made to name the future Temple train station after Donald Trump.

The plan is experiencing stiff opposition from the Palestinian Authority, which wants Jerusalem as the capital of an Arab state inside Israel. The PA also denies that the Jewish Temples described in the Bible ever existed. 

Transportation infrastructure will play an essential role in the Third Temple as a “House of Prayer for All Nations.” This was clearly in the minds of the Jerusalem municipality when they distributed brochures in the Ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods of Jerusalem in July to address concerns about increasing the light rail system. The brochures featured religious Jews riding the light rail to the Third Temple, bearing animal and vegetable sacrifices.

Suspected Christian extremists post directly to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation its offer of $5,000 for the murder of any of its members, upping it to $6,000 for the “kike.”

Police have been called to investigate after suspected Christian extremists posted a call Saturday directly on the site of a religious freedom group for assassins to kill its members, with a bonus for its Jewish leader.

“$5,000 will be payed [sic] to anyone who beh3ads [sic] an MRFF member. A thousand more if they are a kike,” said the threatening message found in the Comments section of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) website.

The founder and head of MRFF is Mikey Weinstein, who is Jewish. According to the foundation’s website, both he and his group have been targeted often by “white Christian nationalists,” with death threats having “escalated over the summer.”

They allege that this latest threat, which they say reaches “a whole new level,” was from the same unknown individual who has sent messages in the past such as, “I am going to murder Michael Weinstein and his supporters.”

After one such threat in July, Weinstein posted a defiant message on YouTube to “the cowards” who “sit behind keyboards” trying to intimidate him and his supporters. Although they have “limited intelligence and … certainly no honor,” he said he was willing to talk to them and publicly announced his cell phone number on the clip.

This time, the former U.S. army veteran has called for help, as he told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) Monday that soliciting murder is a crime and someone could act on the call.

“We are working very closely with federal, especially federal, and local law enforcement agencies to try to track these people down,” Weinstein said to the news agency, adding that the police have told his organization to take the threats seriously.

This is just the latest iteration of a years-long hate fest directed at Weinstein ever since he founded MRFF in 2005 with the purpose of keeping an iron wall between religion and state in the armed forces.

It has gone beyond dozens of vicious emails a week and hateful phone calls, he told CNET News in 2017. The windows of his house in New Mexico have been smashed twice, he found a swastika and a cross painted near his front door and, in separate incidents, a decapitated rabbit’s head and eviscerated rabbit as well.

MRFF has worked with Muslim civil liberties groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations as well as Jewish and other groups to discourage any kind of religious indoctrination or coercion in the military.

The reasons for not moving the embassy have been based on weak foreign policy, discrimination and hypocrisy, with Britain locating embassies in other countries' capitals, except Israel’s, whilst having a consulate in Jerusalem only for Palestinians and not Israelis. Whilst we understand the hurdles to overcome, we’ve attempted to persuade previous governments to take confidence that a move is viable and that it is right and just.
 
We now have an opportunity like never before to present our case and encourage Liz Truss to demonstrate her true friendship towards Israel and make history by doing something no predecessor has done before – move the embassy to Jerusalem!

As we approach uncertain times in this nation, let us stand firm and pray that the UK will have boldness, assured that Britain will enter renewed blessing by honouring Israel with the recognition of its capital. 

Could 2023 be the year Britain puts right an historic wrong? Now is the time.
